“ I would be skeptical. Okay, well, I hope you're right about that. But in the meantime, just to be safe, I don't know, Ben, Ray, Lujan, what are you doing? Okay, take him to lunch, all right? I mean, Joe Manchin's still hiring around. I mean, you can take him on the yacht. Take him to fucking lunch. Actually, I think for Mansion, we're Joe Manchin Liz. Could you get up the river to, I don't know. I want to get into at the very end of the conversation, river geography between West Virginia and Pittsburgh. But the point is they'd have a lot to talk about. Yeah.”

“ But like if we want to win Alaska or Texas or Iowa, our party has to be a little more tolerant of someone who may not have the same views as me. Like for all the frustration about, for instance, Joe Manchin, he was replaced by Jim Justice, who's way more a right wing. So if you care about, you know, these kinds of issues, you have to be willing to be a big tent party. I think one of the things Trump did extremely successfully is he brought in the tent, right? Is that people who thought they were kind of left wing may have voted for him.”

“ Jeff Lake and whoever, Joe Manchin, start a third party. And it's like there just isn't a real support base for that. Like there are some people that might support that type of third party in a situational environment, depending on what the other two parties put up. But most people who would want that, like are either happy with the center left Democrats or, you know, are the tiny percentage of like Nikki Haley Wall Street Journal Republicans who still exist. Right. Like this group.”

“ Government doesn't have to be a fight. It can actually be a problem-solving mechanism as opposed to, you know, a group of people who point out problems in order to divide us as opposed to actually solving those problems to help us. Joe Manchin, I know you're familiar with him, the former governor and senator of West Virginia, and he stepped down. We're closing in on, well, probably a year and a half a little more than that. And he now is working with his daughter, Heather.”

“ And they talked about getting rid of it, too. They didn't because a handful Kristen Cinema and Joe Manchin, both of whom are gone now, Mansion from West Virginia, Cinema from Arizona, who, by the way, is being sued for alienation of affection. She was apparently sleeping with her bodyguard who was married, just as a side note. But regardless, they're gone, and now I think the only one in the Senate who would probably hold out against something like that is John Fetterman.”

“ And that is, Ron, that this common-sense Democrat thing doesn't exist. I mean, I guess Mansion was close when he was there, but he's gone out of West Virginia. There's only one, John Fetterman. Now, you're with these people every day. I'm just a radio guy. I only see one, John Fetterman, and I was happy to hear again, Tom Cotton, say the same thing this weekend. Am I missing some real good common-sense Democrats that you get to work with every day?”

“ That's how I see it basically, yeah. If they actually capture the reality of this, because, and I've talked about this as well, we've called every liberal idea socialist. We've done that for 30 years. Everything's socialist. Oh, my gosh, you're a socialist. Bill Clinton was a socialist. Everybody's a socialist. Look at Joe Manchin. He's being a socialist. And so we have, the conservatives have, I think, reduce the hit of that.”

“ by doing that. And I think you're going to get people more excited about this idea that government doesn't have to be a fight. He was one of the ones, if you remember right, it wasn't Sherrod Brown that was going to stop the filibuster when the Democrats controlled the Senate. It was Sinema and Mansion. I mean, I could see if he was a Joe Manchin-type, moderate, old blue dust.”

Who would sometimes come across the aisle, a conservative-ish Democrat. Bernie Sanders is a socialist. Yes. Who runs in Vermont as an independent because, you know, Vermont's a hippie state.”
