Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Lawrence Jay Jones is here. Lawrence is hearing this on the radio. Just be honest. The most approachable host. Is that something that makes you want to listen? It's true, right? It's true. It only works as this true. It's true. Because people come up to me, I'm okay with it. People like you more than me. And I'm the diner guy. You're an outgoing TV personality, and you are shy, you say. I'm just an introvert. If I'm talking about the story of the day and your problems and all of that, I'm good. But when you start talking about me, it's like, okay, I'm checked out. That's so interesting. So you would never ride an autobiography. No. What about an unauthorized? Would you ever approve an unauthorized bar? Probably would approve. You were improving. Okay. So, Eric, let's do a different book. Because that was my second of my two book deal was going to be Lawrence Jay Jones. And it was going to be a surprise. Right. Well, that surprise is over. Right. Let's get to the big three. Number three. I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former president of the United States. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable for. So Gavin Newsom, another guy, never saw anything wrong with Joe Biden. I just had to let Lawrence Jay Jones hear that for the first time. Here we go. Dem still can't get their story straight about the invisible presidency of Joe Biden. And then the Unremarkable Vice President and the nominee Kamala Harris and their agenda on the future. We take a look at it all.
Number two. And I know some of you are out there scared of the idea of a young socialist Muslim mayor, so allow me to put you at ease by smiling after every answer in a way that physically hurts my face. Election, year eve, yep, off year election, two governor races and one mayor race in solid blue states, but could upsets be brewing? We're going to ask Lawrence about that. You have helped end these government shutdowns in the past when they came about. And you did it by bringing them. I'm very good at it. You brought members of Congress. I'm not going to do it by extortion. I'm not going to do it by being extorted by the Democrats who have lost their way. Shut down week six, 34 days in the results, disruption everywhere. Millions without paychecks, flights grounded, snap benefits dry up. So who's winning this? Lawrence, are you surprised that in most polls they blame more Republicans than they do the Democrats, even though it's the Democrats who refuse to vote to keep the government open? I am quite surprised because it's pretty clear. I mean, there's certain things that there's ambiguity on. This is like a matter of perspective. Yeah. But on this issue, it's literally like all the Republicans except Rand Paul are voting for it. So there's really no ambiguity on it. So listen to this. CBS poll. They say Dems to blame 42% of the people, 52% blame the GOP. That's why the government is still shut down, by the way. Because the polling reflects that the Democrats aren't getting any heat about it. I mean, you've got the airline companies and the unions are blaming the Democrats. But that's about it. Do you have a prediction when it ends? A lot of people are saying after the election, we'll get it done this week. I still think Tim Kaine is giving us the key. We don't want the president cutting any more programs. We don't want them firing any more people. Okay, that's Doge. So what you do is... Making your claim. And then you go over and you say, okay, the president will guarantee you for the next six months. No one will be let go. And promises for the next four weeks we'll look at Obamacare and some of the subsidies. So Democrats go, look, we, to a degree, we got a little bit out of this. Let's get back to work. I think the Democrats think that after this election, they'll have their win in their cells. And I think they feel like this is a good prequel for the midterms. And I think they're using this to drive turnout. But don't you agree that if all, if the New Jersey race goes to Mikie Sherrill. That changes something. If it goes to Michael Scherick, Mikie Sherrill. If it goes to Jack Ciattarelli, if the Democrat, then it changes. Because he's playing, the country is playing on the blue court. Correct, correct. But I think. It's pretty safe to say. They're probably going to win Virginia. And Zohran Mamdani is going to win here in New York. The question is, if it becomes close, like when I say close within two to three points, then they may have to recalibrate. So here's what the last successful Republican governor said you need to do to win. Cut 19. Chris Christie. When I ran, there was no roadmap for how to win New Jersey as a Republican in the 21st century. No one had done it.
But we've laid the path for Jack Ciattarelli. This is what he's going to have to do to beat Mikie Sherrill. 70% of the white vote, 21% of the black vote. We won 51% of the Hispanic vote. We beat a female candidate, as he is running against this time, by 15 points, and we won 58% of independence. With 850,000 more Democrats and Republicans, that's what you need to do. So the question for him on Tuesday night is, can he hit those numbers? Those are the numbers you have to hit to win in a state like New Jersey. The path has been laid out. We'll see what he can do. I don't know how he's going to perform with those groups, but you can't say he didn't work for it. And there's a lot of polls to suggest that- You did a barbershop there, and you have many of the people in the barbershop. By the way, he went to that barbershop before I even did that barbershop. So that just shows you the work that he's put on the ground. There's some polling that's just... Black Mills, much like President Trump, he's going to overperform. If that happens, you got a game. So the other thing I wanted to talk about is Joe Biden. You got Gavin Newsom, who came out and said, I just talked to Joe Biden. He's doing great. He was the most successful president of this generation. Some of his gains and some of his successes are astonishing. Here's Gavin Newsom last night on Meet the Press. Yesterday, cut 24. I'm not going to substitute myself for someone else or for. Popular opinion, I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former President of the United States, including at the end of his term, quite literally, in December, which was a masterclass of foreign policy and domestic policy, which I will never forget as we walk through, not just the election, but we're walking through the world we're living in. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable. You hadn't heard this, so I wanted you to hear it. That's breathtaking. I've never met a politician that lies more with conviction and appears sincerity. It reminds me of that moment with Gavin Newsom when the fires were happening, and the voter came to confront him and say, hey, what's going on right here? And he goes, I am on the phone with the president of the United States right now. We're solving this right now. She goes, I want to speak to him. I want to speak to the president. And he goes, oh, actually, I'm out of signal. But he lies with such conviction. And I think that's dangerous. Also, it's just not believable. You mean to tell me you didn't see anything with the president? You'd think he was great at foreign policy after Afghanistan? Really? Really? Ukraine? Really? This is the one time he said he saw something. They cut 25. The one exception as it relates to the interaction I had with him that gave me pause. One was the fundraiser in Southern California. All of us were a little taken aback, but we also were mindful that he had been to Europe twice in about a week. And for the grace of God, go any of us with jet lag and being exhausted, that person came back on that debate night. And that was, that was certainly gave all of us pause. Gave you pause. Go ahead. After. After the debate performance, after all that we know, all the books that have been written about all the cabinet members and all the layers of protection, you're still going to lie about this? It's over. It's over. It's settled. The American people rejected. He left the race because of this and you guys are still relitigating this. I think.
I think that the radicals want him to do this. I think there is a Biden orbit that feel like the president was mistreated and it was not part of unity. And I think he's doing this because the base wants a fighter, even if it's totally wrong. Even if it's totally wrong. I mean, hell, we got Bandami now, right? So we have Ian Sams, who was his spokesperson, admitted to James Comer's committee that I only met with the president, talked to him a handful of times and twice in person, and they go, well, one of the times was on Zoom, so that doesn't really count because the president was in camp, David. He wouldn't fought for him, said the president's never. He was running circles around his crew. He's a flat-out lie. And this guy, Gavin Newsom says that he's the best president. But wait a minute, Brian. Excuse me. Ian Sams is the guy that we were told was the communication genius. The guy that was on every single network going after people that criticized the Biden. And then he goes before the committee and says, oh, it was actually true. August Flugher, who we were on with, he's going to be up next. So I don't want to take too much of your time. And I know you want to get on with your day because you do jiu-jitsu. And you got your Oculus glasses, right? So that... Which I'm not using. Why aren't you using? I don't know. It's just like... You still know what you need for. Okay. So John Brennan was confronted by a Republican about him signing that letter of 51 Intel executives said that the Hunter Biden's laptop. was Russian disinformation. Listen to him, lose it. Cut 28. And you misrepresented that. We never said it was disinformation. It was Russian influence operations, which is what they do. There's a big difference between influence operators. No, you don't know that. Yes, Colmy knew. Only knew. The literature said it was all. So he loosed it. He poked the guy in the chest and the guy who poked him back and they walked away. See how closely they're snapping? They're snapping because it's out there now. We have all the information. By the way, it was been out there. And now we know that he was a part of the play. They knew it wasn't Russia, Russia, Russia with Donald Trump as well. And then after election, they changed the report. to reflect as if, took it out the presidential daily brief because now the president-elect is getting that now. So he's a dirty agent. And there's a lot of dirty cops as well that was involved in this. And now it's coming to the light. Him, James Comey, I'm convincing. Him and James Comey, when we're in Cohoots together. Real dirty. Along with the other guy, too. Listen, just real quick, your special on Zohran Mamdani. It's available on Fox Nation, and he talks about his whole background, his family, don't believe the smile. Congratulations. You want to see a high school, Hall of Fame this weekend. What's name of high school? Merrick Garland High School. All right. You made a seat. Black and gold. You raised a winner. Back at a moment.

And I'm a big supporter of Ukraine, has met more with Volodymyr Zelensky this year than he's met with any Democratic reaction. So the act is the meeting. The meeting is let's sit down and resolve it. I can't believe Donald Trump, the great dealmaker of dealmakers, who at least how he presents himself, sitting down with us, we couldn't reach an agreement in an hour. So that is Senator Warner being in a way. He's trying to indicate, I think, I'm trying to look, read between the lines, that there's a deal to be done, especially after the election. What does Congressman August Flugher think? He's with the Republican Study Committee, and he's the chair there at Texas. Congressman, welcome back. Read between the lines and what the senator is saying. He looks like they want to do a deal, don't you think? Brian, thanks for having me. Well, it's just complete nonsense what he's saying. You know, for 14 times he's voted against the deal, which was a clean CR. So now, you know, what is he projecting? I mean, obviously they're waiting for these elections. They're waiting for tomorrow night. And, I mean, 42 plus million Americans are hurting on snap. And you've got the military families. that are hurting and you've got other federal workers who aren't getting paid by the way when when the shoot was on the other foot and biden and polozy were in charge we voted to keep the government open because of this nonsense because we were the adults in the room so yeah it does appear that he's projecting you know, that they want some sort of deal. But if they think that President Trump is going to call him into the White House and do a deal before they vote to open the government, that's ridiculous. He's not going to do that. I mean, if you, like, I'll give an example. The best time he would do a deal is if you needed Democratic votes for the big, beautiful bill. He'd go, what do you guys need? That's cold, got to see what both sides need. With China is a deal. With Gaza is a deal. When you just say, I'm not going to continue, have a continuing resolutions on a budget that Joe Biden had us living on. This is Joe Biden.
Biden's budget. So, of course, he's almost obligated not to give in. This would be a terrible precedent. That would be a horrible precedent. Democrats would learn that they can hold the American people hostage anytime they choose. Remember what Catherine Clark says. She said last week that she knows American families are struggling, yet that's the only time that they have leverage. American families only leverage to them. I care about the American family. They're the most valuable asset we have. Democrats, we know for long, many, many years have not cared about them, and they said the quiet part out loud. One thing that they're due, they're about to do in New York, which I know seems far away, but Texas and New York have a linkage. When those illegal immigrants started destroying your state, I thought Governor Greg Abbott started a new tradition, put them on buses and send them to the blue cities. And that got their attention, but it didn't stop Joe Biden from leaving the border open. Now your thoughts about immigration as an issue in this off-year election. Well, it's an issue for a couple of reasons. Number one, Governor Greg Abbott was right to send them to New York. That's, you know, with a sanctuary city there, what we realized is they want to count those immigrants for the purposes of representation in Congress. They want to count them for the purposes of federal monies that go to Medicaid and otherwise they've been giving Medicaid dollars to illegal immigrants. That was a big piece of what Republicans have stopped. So it's still an issue. We need to make sure that people who vote in this country, show an ID, are an American citizen. They continue to push back on that. And Donald Trump is right. He campaigned. And 75 plus million people said, enough is enough. We cannot have this open surge, this invasion of illegal immigration. And it hurts places like New York. I mean, honestly, then you look at Zohran Mamdani. I mean, he's taking advantage. right now of that exact population this isn't an american message it's not i love new york city this is i want to take advantage of those who hate america that's what i'm hearing in texas from that campaign i want you to hear what president obama said and by the way he might be talented and he you know he has eight years and he was historic president but i think the more you get away from his years the worst they look he's lost over a thousand seats when he was serving and i don't know anybody that he mentored to pick up the mantle that he dropped where i could probably name about fifteen uh... minimum from President Trump. Here he is in Virginia trying to salt away that election for Abigail Spanberger. Cut 22. Virginia, here's the good news. If you can't visit a doctor, don't worry, he will save you a dance. And if you don't get an invitation to the next White House shouldn't it, you can always watch the festivities and all the beautiful people on true social. The point is there is absolutely no evidence.
Republican policies have made life better for you, the people of Virginia. Your thoughts. Oh, my goodness. Where do we start? I mean, just so washed up, full of vitriol and hatred, instead of praising the president during a shutdown for going to the Middle East and doing a historic peace deal, instead of praising the president for going to Asia and bringing countries together to take the temperature down, which we needed, you know, he's talking about true social. and White House events. Give me a break. I mean, the guy is just completely rudderless, as is the Democrat Party. And he's the author of that. He is the author of this period of wandering in the desert, which they're doing. So when you look at the president's approval rating, according to CBS and NBC, it's around 43%. When you look at who's to blame for the shutdown, basically by 10 points, they blame Republicans more than they do Democrats. Does that view reflect what you've seen?
I don't think so. And I think that there are many other examples of, you know, obviously bias injected into those polls potentially that I think the American public is pretty savvy to know. I mean, even CNN is saying, Hakeem Jeffries, but you're actually giving illegal immigrants Medicaid right here on this page and pushing back to say to Senator Warner and others. All you have to do is vote yes to open the government. So I think they're going to see past and have seen past this nonsense. How close, if you get word from Speaker Johnson to go back, how much time does the House need to get back in action? Well, we'll be there as soon as it opens. Many of us have been back and forth doing business that's important for our committees. We have continued, and there are a lot of things that need to be continued. As Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, 189 members, we've got a lot of meetings. You'll be ready to act quick. Congressman August Lugar, thanks so much. The more you listen, the more you'll know. It's Brian Kilmeade. All right, Tim and Demi Tebow are back in our studio. You know, Tim, outstanding quarterback in his day now becoming an outstanding broadcaster and communicator, as well as Demi, you are formed Miss Universe. Do I say former? Is that an insult? No. No. No. Former's great. Right. That's great. That is great. I would definitely put that first in my resume. Is that up top? Well, mom's up top now. Oh, that's yes. Congratulations on that. Thank you. So how old is your daughter? Three and a half months? Three and a half months. We're right in the thick of the four months. I'm going to call it a sleep progression, not regression because she's developing, but right in the thick of that right now. What's it been like for you guys? What's the biggest change? That's a good question. I remember when we left the hospital and we were driving home. It was the most cautious and focus I've ever been as a driver in my entire life. And I remember we get home and we placed Daphne in the bassinet. And I look at Demi and I'm like, okay. What do we do now? What's the next step? Where's the game plan at? What's the schedule? I think one of the things that really has hit me is the responsibility you feel. I can remember when we get home, I'm thinking, okay, those stairs have to change because she could fall there. This cabinet, we got to change because that's too sharp. You can't have the glass there. And you're like, you're thinking and planning ahead for possible obstacles or adversity that she could face. It's just that level of responsibility, the weight of it, but also the blessing of it. It's just so real. I'll tell you the one other thing from your perspective. Now, you know, like when you travel, all right, I'm going to be away for a couple of days. Now you feel really bad because you want to be home, right? And you're asked to travel all the time now. Yes. We're on the road a lot. Thankfully that we get to do a good amount of that together. But we, yeah, it's so hard being away. And you feel like when you're away and you come back, you're like, She's changed. She's grown. She's developed. She's, you know, doing the tummy time at her heads up and she can do this and she can grab this. And it's like, I wanted to help on that. Yeah. It's true. So you had two books out at the same time. I thought it was the same book until it's going to look again. This is your book, Tim. Recognize your worth, renew your hope, run with confidence. And Demi, you have knowing who you are because of. who God is, 100 days to unbreakable faith. So first off, I guess, Tim, let's start with you. I remember one of your two books ago, you talked about how tough it was to be cut by the Patriots. Yeah. And we look at Tim Tebow, Heisman Trophy winner, National Champion, who, for number one pick and the dramatic things you did with Denver and Broncos, Jets totally screwed you, by the way. I cannot believe they even play. But you think you're on the path. You think you're going to get, you know, you made the team. You're about to go to Robert Kraft's house for a picnic for a back-year-up party. Good memory, Brian. And he walked up to you and he said, hey, you know, Tim, you're not going to make it.
And how tough was that? And we think that your life is so smooth. But that's a killer, right? Well, I think that there's been a lot of setbacks. But I think one of the things that's so important is how you view setbacks. Yes, it's disappointing. And as someone that's a dreamer and trying to live that out, yeah, it's crushing to that dream. But what's so important is you can't let because a dream was crushed, you can't let it crush your identity. And you also have to really change your perspective that. I really believe if we view things the right way, then we would view setbacks as maybe sometimes the greatest set up in our life. And there has been so many setbacks that I have been a part of or in my life where... I couldn't see it in the moment, but later on I could see, man, that was actually one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given. So you've done the really hard thing. So you're not Tim, the broadcaster, the Heisman Trophy winner, you're not the Denver Bronco. You are, those are things you do. It's not who you are. That's exactly. So it enables you to not take it personal when things don't go your way. Well, I have taken it personal many times. And I also feel like I've really failed because it has been too much of my identity at times. But when I'm doing it better, it's not my identity. It's something I'm blessed to have the chance to do, but it's not who I am or whose I am. It is an awesome opportunity and a platform to be able to use for good and to help people. But when so many times when I've fallen short, it's because it was too much a part of my life that it was not just my life, but my identity was focused in it. And when your identity is focused on your circumstances, you are going to have a roller coaster life. It is inevitable. You will have highs and you will have lows, but it's going to be a roller coaster. But when your identity is firm and secure and something that is not movable like God's promises, then your identity can also be firm and secure. So one of the things you guys have deep roots in Christianity. And that's really, Demi, what your book is about, right? That's right. You know, Brian, just like Tim, I think it's so easy for us to root our identity, our worth, our value, and the things that are temporary, right? And I think that's something that I've done over and over so many times. And then that corner office closes and maybe you enter into that retirement package. Or in my case, my crown gets not taken away from me, but I hand it to the very rightful next worthy most universe, you know, winner. And you're... left with questioning, well, who am I really now that all of these things that I... Did you go through that? Yeah, for sure, that you hold on to. And, you know, it's like, I remember that night I gave the crown over to the next very worthy winner and left that stage and felt like I forgot something, something really important. And it wasn't like until a year or two later that I realized it was the worth and the value that I attached to that crown. And that was always just meant to be something temporary. And, you know, Brian Paul warned us 2,000 years ago and he told us not to chase perishable crowns. And here I...
I am quite literally having chased the perishable crown that I'm not wearing today. And he tells us, as believers, we get to chase crowns that last for all of eternity. And I've learned that the things that last for all of eternity, something that has the potential of lasting for all of eternity is the impact that we have in other people's lives. That has a potential to last for all of eternity. And that's a place where I find a lot of fulfillment and a lot of meaning and a lot of purpose. And I think that's one of the greatest honors of my life is to get to serve alongside Tim and the Tim Depot Foundation. and the work that we do. Right. But I think it's so important. You said there's nothing wrong with the pursuit. Go pursue it. Just don't put yourself your identity in it. Right. Yeah, we're called to strive for eggs. But you also are admitting that you did. But we're not called to suck, Brian. Like scripture is very clear. Whatever hand finds a do with all your mind. What apostle did you just quote right now? Because I haven't memorized the Bible. You're not called to suck. No, but we're not. But there is a big difference in where we place their identity and our hope. If our hope is in our circumstance. not our savior, then we're going to have a roller coaster life. If our hope is in these temporary crowns, then we're going to have a roller coaster life and it's going to lead us to a place of emptiness. That's right. So a lot of people get that self-esteem and you're going to have the same thing as a parent, maybe multiple times, from their parents. So... It's very hard for people to understand that. You're not, you know, you're supposed to pursue a goal. You are there. You get that goal. You win the gold medal. And then after you get the gold medal, then what's next? That's right. How do you, so you believe, Demi, probably in your book, this is how you find that. If you don't have the parents, you have that mentor in your life, you could do it through books like yours. Well, yeah, Brian, being a new mom, being absolutely sleep deprives at the stage, you know, when you don't have a lot of sleep, a lot of house goes out the window too, especially. feeling like, where's your purpose? Where's your worth? When you're just kind of stuck in that mundane things every single day. And I've had to learn, especially in this season, that it's so important for me to pour into myself truth, biblical truth, every single day, even just those small little deposits. And that's why I wrote a 100-day devotional that's bite-sized pieces that, especially moms and women, every day. You can just spend five, ten minutes every single day. And yes. I think spending time in the word and doing our Bible studies and, you know, so important. But that's something that I know I can do quickly every day here. And I think those small little deposits end up adding up. Where did you get that sense that the answers were in the Bible and they could be found in religion? Is that because of the way you were brought up? Were you at every church every Sunday? Were you reading, like doing blessings before every meal? Yeah, we pray before every meal. That was definitely a big part of growing up. My parents are Christian. I was raised in Christian households. My parents were divorced when I was really young. And I kind of grew up in different denominations being in two different households. But always knowing it was important.
Excuse me? Always knowing religion was important. Yeah, I think the love that Jesus has for me and that there's a clear purpose and plan for my life and that he is my Lord and Savior was always something that was a part of my life. But things really changed drastically for me in about 11th grade when I decided to accept him as my personal Lord and Savior. And when I decided to enter into really a personal relationship with him instead of just... reading scripture instead of just doing the things that I'm supposed to be doing. You know, what would really change for me was not being focused on all the things that I should or should not be doing, but... in the ability to have a personal relationship with God. And here's an excerpt from your books. Trusting God isn't always easy, but as we embrace these dark nights of the soul, while continuing to believe that he has a purpose for us, our faith gets stronger. If we let them, struggles often lead to us to our greatest growth. So that's pretty much what you're saying. Through the struggles, you get stronger. That's right. You know, Mother Teresa, a guy one time came up to an astor when she was stuck in this period where she felt like she was experiencing a dark night of the soul where she felt a disconnect from god imagine mother teresa feeling that right i can't even i can't even fathom and this guy came up to her and asked her hey you know can you please pray for me for clarity and she said no because i've never had clarity but i've had trust and i will pray that you trust god and so many times in my life even i lost my sister a couple of years ago my dad just passed away a couple weeks ago and Those moments kind of rattle your faith and you have a lot of questions. And I don't think my faith has always been perfect. But I pray that I'll always continue to trust God and trust that He is God and I am not and that he knows the perfect plan and purpose. Tim, now I know why are you married here. I couldn't figure it up until now. Me neither. I know. I've never been a kicker, but definitely outkicked my coverage. But when did the religion start mattering to you? Do you remember? Well, it's something that's our family has been a part of my entire life growing up, you know, Bible studies, Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night. Hit a couple of Bible studies in between. But really for me, my parents and my mom and my dad will always say, hey, you know, heard Dad talk about Jesus or you heard the pastor talk. Do you want to accept him? And over and over again, I would say, no, I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. Until one night I was lying in my bed and I knew that I wasn't. that I was a sinner and I desperately needed a savior. How old were you? I was six years old. Six years old? You felt like you were a sinner? Absolutely. And I couldn't sleep. I got up to go ran and go see my mom. And I said, Mom, I got to ask Jesus into my heart. And she said, okay, let me go get your father. I said, no, mom, we don't have time. That's kind of intense then, too. Did you remember this? Oh, yeah. And, um. And I got down on my knees on the west side of Jacksonville, Florida, and asked Jesus to come into my heart and forgive me. And do you know what's crazy? He did. And I think that's one of the important things when we talk about Christianity. Christianity is not a museum for good people. It is a hospital for the broken.
And when we realize that we are broken, but there is a healer, when we realize that we have fallen short, but there is a rescuer, when we realize that we cannot earn it, but there is someone that earned it for us on our behalf in Jesus. It changes everything. Christianity isn't about dues, and it's not about dues and don't. It's about done. What Jesus has done, what he finished on the cross for us. And so it's not what we have to do and what we can't do and all of the rules that are put in place. And those are put in place. for a lot of good reasons. But that's not the heart of Christianity. The heart of Christianity is Jesus. It is Jesus Christ. That what he has done for us, and that somehow when we put our faith in him, it counts for us. And now, do we want to do these things and not do others? Of course. But if we measure ourselves up, we will always fall short. But Jesus has never fallen short. And so the blood of Jesus covers us when we put our faith in him. And I think that's what's so important and encouraging because there's so many people that like myself that think, man, I just, I've fallen short. I've messed up. I've had average days and then a lot of sucky days, you know. But I'm no longer defined by my scars. I'm defined by his. Wow. I'm going to impress you now. You ready? Yes. I remember I took philosophy in college, and I remember they wrote St. Augustine, wasn't he a big-time sinner? And he was a guy just doing whatever he wanted, hedonistic, and then he ends up ascending to the human being Hall of Fame, which is Sainhood. St. Augustine, can you mirror this? Can you build on that story? Well, I think one of St. Augustine's quotes, I believe it was him, was every day we share the gospel every now and then we use words. And I also believe that he had another quote that was something to the extent of evil isn't something in and of itself, but it is the absence of good, the absence of God. And really meaning when we don't show up and we don't care and we don't make a difference and we don't strive to help people, then we're actually allowing evil to take place. And, you know, it's one of the hearts of look again, of that we would truly look again at our worth at how God sees us. But then we would value other people so that we would step into the fight in this battle of good versus evil. You know, Brian, when we talk about what's happening around the world, there's 700 plus million people that are malnourished right now. There are 400 million people around the world that will be abused, sexually abused, or exploited this year. There's 50 plus million people that are trapped in human trafficking. Like, when we talk about all of these stats, over and over and I could keep giving you more and more and more. There's 153 million babies orphaned or abandoned children around the world right now. And people think, well, it's just over there. No, no, no. It's happening here in our backyard. We're the number one buyer of live stream rape of boys and girls around the world. We are right here. We're third worst in the world in the distribution of CSAM, child sexual abuse material. It's China, Russia, U.S.
Like, and so there is so much, and people say, well, it's, you know, is that really my fight? Yes, it is. It's all of our fights to step in and not have apathy, but have passion and compassion for people and step into the fight against good and evil. And I believe that's part of what Augustine's reminding us of. So the answer is yes, you do know a lot about that. The two books are this, two separate books. You've got to go order them now. Tomorrow will they open up? Usually it's a two-sales. Yeah, hers is out and mine's tomorrow. Okay. So tomorrow, Tim, you can go pre-order it now. It's called Look Again. If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmeade. Japan's new prime minister, Sinai Takachi, said during a press conference that she is nominating President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. And I can't believe I get to say this, but thank God nobody listens to women. President Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. When asked how the meeting went, Trump said this. But overall, I guess on the scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the best, I would say the meeting was at 12. I guess Trump just wanted to show China. We're still way worse at math. It's okay. I was so impressed. I'm not going to be critical of Estenel this week. I was so impressed with that skit. That was the old way, this is the old way. We don't have any time for it now. Unless you want to play some of it, Eric. It's up to you. But this is the way SNL used to do it. Equal Opportunity Offender. They went after Zohran Mamdani with no experience. They went after Zohran Mamdani for everything he said would never happen. In a comedic way. Yeah, we played some of that in the big three, which we'll play at other parts of the show, too. Also, I'll play again. They did a property brother skit with Trump and the new ballroom. We have it. It's funny. It's very great. Yeah. I mean, that's just it. If you hit both sides, people can laugh. When you're just trying to get votes for the other guy instead of being a comedy show, that's when people get sick of it, in my view. But you know what? I hear the ratings are not bad. So I'm just giving you my opinion. You let me know.
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of Unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills. But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. Up front payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months or $180 for 12-month plan required. $15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. See terms. Maya Top Fox News headquarters in New York City. Always seeking solutions, never sewing division. It's Brian Kilmeade. I'm really so glad you're there. It's Brian Kilmeade coming from 48 and 6 in Midtown Manhattan. Heard around the country, around the world. I went to the giant game yesterday. And my ways brought me through Manhattan. I thought, wait, this is the New York Marathon Day. Has my ways app turned against me? By the way, Mark Teeson is going to be my guest. But Mark, Mark, you let the door open. I mean, I don't want any more guests. You're it. I know you're hoping I get another guest. Are you going to close it or do I have to close it? I'll close it for you if you want. If you don't mind. Thank you, Allison. I mean, you just walk in with the door open. Don't you know? I don't know. I'm a rookie. So I went and I went through Manhattan. It was absolutely no problem going through Manhattan. So I get to the stadium. I can't believe how quickly I got to the stadium. Have you been in a giant stadium? I have not. No. Okay. Never should be there. Huge mistake. It was built on a swamp on a bet. Oh, no, wait. I went to the Rangers Islanders game there when they played the outdoor game. Oh, really? I have been there. Okay. So it was no problem with crowds. All 49 are fans. All 49er fans, right? So it was 77,000, whatever. They're a really good team. And I do believe the Giants are on the right track. But these people take up the parking. There's no parking spot. So I have gold parking. It doesn't matter. There's no gold parking. But the guy lets me go in anyway so I can see for myself. I didn't ask to see for myself. Just tell me you have no parking. You know why there was no parking? Why? Because they set up their bunch and burners and their little grills in spots. It's called tailgating. Right. Put it next to your tailgate. Not in another spot. I mean, that's where a car goes, right? And that's where you put coal, right? And if not, they leave it there and they dump it there. See, they think himself, should I pull over and park there and that my car explode? Yeah. So this seems to me like a little bit of Long Island Bias against New Jersey? Yes. Okay. Absolutely. I just wanted to make sure I understood what was going on here. No, no. I mean, these are New York teams. They should never have been in Long Island. It's a debate that should happen in the 70s, probably. But I just, it's so hard to get the, it literally took me longer to find a parking spot. I got there at 10.15. I couldn't park into 5 to 11. Can you imagine that looking for a spot for an hour? That's insane. Right. I had to say it. I don't know why I did. Where would you put the stadium? Oh, I would have put one in New York City. They had it going to be built. But guess what? James Dolan, who owned the Guard, said that would be competition. So he stopped Mike Bloomberg from building the Jet Stadium on the west side. I would have put...
The giant stadium, I would have put the giant stadium in the Bronx somewhere or right. They used to play a Yankee Stadium. Yeah. If you're a New Jersey team, you could be a New Jersey team. Like the Devils. Yeah. Yeah. They're New Jersey. I agree with that. But it's just so hard to get to a game. And I never experienced the Giants close because they moved on like probably 74 or 75. Yeah. I'm not really sure how interested you are on this. Not very, right? Not very. No. I'm very interested in Madison Square Garden in the future of that because I'm a hockey fan. Let's go to the big three. Number three. I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former President of the United States. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable. Oh, my goodness. What an interview he had on Meet the Press yesterday. Gavin Newsom, did he say anything that was true? Next. Number two. And I know some of you are out there scared of the idea of a young socialist Muslim mayor. So allow me to put you at ease by smiling after every answer in a way that physically hurts my face. That is the S&L, the old S&L, but it was actually a new one, where they actually insulted everybody at once. Those are the good all days. Election year Eve, two governor's races and one mayor's race in solid blue areas, but could upsets be brewing? We'll talk to Mark Tison about that. Number. You have helped end these government shutdowns in the past when they came about. And you did it by bringing them. I'm very good at it. You brought members of Congress. I'm not going to do it by extortion. I'm not going to do it by being extorted by the Democrats who have lost their way. Shut down, week six, 34 days, and it's a new record. It's a record nobody wanted to break. Disruption everywhere. Millions without paychecks, fights grounded, snap benefits dry up. Republicans refuse to give into the extortion, as you just heard. But what are we going to see after Election Day? I sense a deal. Mark, what do you sense? I sense that they're going to have to cave because the pain is about to start. The Democrats. Yeah, so think about this. The government shutdown happens, and nobody feels it for a while. Because the government's still running on fumes, right? They've still got some money that's going out. The paychecks are still being issued. And now the fumes are running out. And the money's running out. And all of a sudden, people are going to go without paychecks. You're going to start seeing air traffic controllers not showing up for work because they've got to figure out a way to feed their families. So they can't show up for work and not get paid so they can go find another job. And then, you know, paychecks are not coming. So you got Thanksgiving coming in a few weeks. If people can't, if your grandma and your kid can't come for Thanksgiving and your kids can't fly in from college for Thanksgiving because the Democrats have shut down the government and there are no air traffic controllers. And oh, by the way, you can't afford a turkey because you haven't got, you missed three paychecks and you're, and you're dipping into your savings.
That's going to be a lot of pain, and it's going to be the Democrats' fault. They say 34% of the country right now estimated is affected by the shutdown. 1.4 million federal workers are going without pay. But when they did a poll on CBS and ABC, 45% blame the GOP, 33% blame the Dems in the ABC poll. In the CBS poll, it is basically the same breakdown. 42% blame the Dems, 52% blame the GOP. I don't know. I don't understand. When they were in the minority and the Tea Party did this, the Republicans were being blamed. Now we have the Democrats do this in the minority and Republicans still get blamed. Yeah, but it's still early. I mean, this is just started. People haven't started feeling the pain. They haven't been focused on it. They've been going about their lives normally. Now that it starts affecting you, you're going to start saying, why are we shut down again? And then they're going to see that, well, the Republicans want to fund the entire government at Biden's spending levels and continuing resolution without any cuts in spending. And the Democrats are demanding half a trillion dollars almost in in. and COVID subsidies to be extended, I don't think that's sustainable for the Democrats. And one of the rules of shutdowns is the people shutting down the government tend to lose. Senator John Fetterman is a little different from other Democrats. He's a very common sense guy. He proved it over the weekend. Here's his take on who's to blame cut for. Well, I mean, for me, fundamentally, I'm deeply, deeply distressing to know that 42 million Americans are going to lose their SNAP benefits. And now that's one of the big reasons why I refuse to shutting our government down. And again, I feel like the Democrats really need to own the shutdown. I mean, we're shutting it down. I know why they claim because they want to address the tax credits. And I fully support that. I voted for all of their CRs, RCRs, every single time. And I refuse to put 42 million Americans in the kinds of food insecurity. Now, This is all solved by just reopen our government and the people are now paid. Sounds like Speaker Johnson. God bless John Fetterman. I mean, he's such a, he's, you know, I disagree with him on a lot of stuff, but he is so honest and straightforward. And whatever he's saying, he believes out a conviction. And God bless him for being able to speak out against his own party. This, look, you, this, what they're doing is unsustainable. And on top of that, one of the things is very important to understand, they're not doing this to, the Democrats want to paint this as the Republicans are trying to dismantle Obamacare. None of this is about Obamacare. Nothing that is in this law is affecting what's in the Obamacare law. It's the American Rescue Plan subsidies that Joe Biden passed. during the COVID pandemic because what was happening was the one that Larry Summer says was ill-advised. Yes, exactly. And other democratic economists as well. What was happening, the government was shutting the country down. People were losing their jobs. And so they were losing their employer health care. And so what they did was they lifted the caps on income tax on COVID subsidies for health care so you could get Obamacare to carry you through during the pandemic. The pandemic ended in 2023.
And so the subsidies, and so instead of letting the subsidies expire, they extended them for a few years, then they extended them again. The Democrats set this deadline for the expiration of these subsidies when they had unified control of government and could have passed whatever the hell they wanted. But they didn't want to take responsibility for $400 billion in spending. So they set this deadline. And now they want Donald Trump when the Republicans have unified control of government to extend. COVID spending? But you know what their theory is? COVID spending. Listen, Mark, I totally agree with you, but you know what their strategy is, is now that when people see their rate, their deductibles, their rates are going to go up for the upcoming year, they're getting it now, they're going to go, who do we blame? Oh, blame Republicans. For people who don't live this like us, do you see that that might be an effective strategy? Well, first of all, if you look at my colleagues at the American Enterprise Institute point out that these subsidies actually increase premiums. Because they fuel the rise in premium. I hear you. I'm going to raise my rates. Yeah. I mean, it's sort of like the college loans increased tuition costs because you're subsidizing the ability of the colleges to hike their tuition through these loans that they're really just, they don't expect that they'll ever get repaid, but the colleges are sucking up the money. It's the same thing with the health care subsidies. Do you think Republicans should start working on a health care plan? Sure. Why not? I mean, you know, the Obamacare is a disaster. We're now seeing that, I mean, so the problem is, ObamaCare can't work unless it has the COVID subsidies to sustain it. So, you know, so yes, we need an alternative to healthy. We should not under any circumstances be extending these subsidies. We should not be, I mean, these subsidies allow people with six-figure incomes to get subsidies. Why should taxpayers be subsidizing people with six-figure incomes for their health care? I know what? I know you're doing that rhetorically, but please don't expect me to explain that. But I understand, too, is that Hakeem Jeffries makes his little statements, but there's no one ever a follow-up to him, just say, wait a second. These are subsidies that were never supposed to be there. Well, people's premiums are. Well, why is that President Trump's fault? You go, well, he should come to the table. On what? He said, you know what, if the President said, can you focus on the next three and a half weeks? Back in September when they went on strike, the next three and a half weeks on some type of cure because the president, if you go up to the president and say people living paycheck to paycheck can't afford this. He's like, let's figure this out. But if you shut down the government and say, you better do this. Have you met the president? That's not the way he operates. They go, why don't you cut a deal? Why is he going to China? Why is he going to China? There's nothing about that trip that was ceremonial. Every single stop was substantive that yielded results not to build another Trump tower. but a yielded result for our economy. Why are you going being commander-in-chief when we're having a temper tantrum here in Washington, D.C., and you should be coddling us? That's basically what they're saying. And caving. So let's talk about the mayor's race real quick. Zoram, I'm down. We actually don't have to rush. We have some time. But before we go to break. You want me to go? No, not yet. The door's open. Barack Obama went to bat. for Abigail Spanberger as well as Mikie Sherrill. And when it comes to Zohran Mamdani, he's made himself available for any advice needed. But he didn't endorse him. Here's Andrew Cuomo on this, because you had to figure that Andrew Cuomo was probably a favorite son to Obama during his day, cut 11.
He did not endorse Zohran Mamdani. Isn't that peculiar? Maybe it's because Zohran Mamdani called President Obama evil and a liar, which was disgusting and despicable of Zohran Mamdani, who has a habit of being offensive and divisive. It's almost right. I mean, he was not an Obama fan when he was, I guess, a junior assembly member. Obama was too right wing. Yeah, I think that was the problem. Do you think that Obama was? really wanted to be more like Bandami? And do you think that he wanted to do more the things that Biden did? And he kind of is angry about that, the rescue plan. Oh, 100%. And he was, you know, he was, he was much constrained by the state of politics, which had not tilted to the left in the Democratic Party as it has since then. He would have loved to have done the things that Biden was trying to do. Yeah, I don't think Bill Clinton would. No, I don't think he would either. But also, one thing, if you're a Democrat and you're calling Barack Obama to save you in an election, I got news for you. It's a bad bet. Why? Okay, so here's the stats. When Obama took office, he had a 60-seat filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and 257-seat... majority in the House. That was the largest majority since Bill Clinton in 1993. On his watch, Democrats lost 1,027 electoral offices and held fewer electoral offices nationwide than at any time since the 1920s. They lost 12 Senate seats, 63 House seats on the state level. They lost 939 Democratic state legislative seats and a dozen governors' office. That was the largest loss of power since the 1950s. And on top of that, The biggest repudiation of Obama at the polls was that after eight years of Obama, Americans said, we want Donald Trump as president. So this guy is electoral cryptidite. I want to talk to you about what you think Barack Obama really thinks about Donald Trump. Because in the beginning, I didn't think he was, because I watched how composed he was when Trump won the first time. But I think he's incensed. I want to get Mark's take, incensed that Trump is winning and he's still serving and that he won again. Back in a moment. Both sides, all opinions. It's Brian Kilmeade.
Radio that makes you think. This is the Brian Kilmeade. They put on a big show of deporting people and targeting transgender folks. They never miss a chance to scapegoat minorities and die for every problem under the sun. You got a flat tire? DIA. Wife mad at you? DIA. What they have not devoted energy to is helping you. So, Mark. I can't believe he brought up the transgender issue and I can't believe he brought DEI because experienced politicians wouldn't touch those because they hurt them so much during the last election one year ago today. Most people go, DEI screwed me out of something. And I am so relieved that we can get out of that political correctness in DEI, which hurt so many causes and companies. Yeah, you know, they're sort of like the Japanese soldiers on the island that doesn't know the war is over. Right. And that they've lost. Right. I mean, DEI, during the last election, the fever broke in this country when it comes to DEI, when it comes to transgender stuff. And the most effective ad, not only in that campaign, but possibly in the history of presidential politics, was the ad at the end of the campaign when Donald Trump's campaign said, she's for they, them, he's for you. That was a, that summarized exactly how the American people felt about this. It moved numbers, and they're still behind the curve. The other thing that can't be overstated. Is Bill Gates coming out last week? Oh, my gosh. That, you know, the world is not going to end because of greenhouse gases. And it's not a... After spending billions telling us it would. Yes, spending billions in Al Gore making billions in swearing the world was supposed to end by now. And, you know, Greta, I'm going to say, Van Suster. And Greta, whatever's her name is. Thunberg. Her too. Yeah. Thunberg. She comes out. These people made Olivia, that was a religion. So if you have been brought up, like, you know, I don't know. You know, is it a science? How dare you? Of course it settled science. Paris Accord. How dare you pull out of that? Now people like, how dare you go into that? And guess who's blowing it? China and Russia? They're not even subscribing to it. There's a responsibility with the environment. And then there's changing your economy about a theory on the environment. So here's the thing. Climate change is happening, as Bill Gates said. And it's not... going to bring the end of the world. It's a problem. It's not, it's a problem that we have to address. And so how do you address it? You can't stop climate change from happening. Even the most aggressive policies wouldn't actually stop the planet from warming. They would just slow its warming, right? So do you destroy your economy, destroy your way of life, stop the ability for poor people to rise up and have better lives in order to do something impossible? Or do you spend your energy on adaptation?
What you do? You vent corks for cows to stop farting. Right? I mean, they're worried about that. No more beef because we don't want cows. Stop the cows. So, for example, if you look at the map of the Netherlands, if there were no dikes and levees, three quarters of the country would be underwater submerged, right? Right. Dikes and levees work. They're cheap, they're inexpensive, and they work. So if you're going to have, the solution to a rising ocean is more dikes and levies. We actually know how to solve this problem. There are more people who die from cold than from heat, right? And that's what he said. He says, the cold is a bigger problem. Yeah, exactly. So, you know, I mean, you know, air conditioning is cheap. It's very simple. I mean, there are people who live in Arizona when it's 125 degrees and they just stay inside in the air conditioning and they're fine. You can address and mitigate the effects. If they were serious about this effort, they wouldn't have made it in a you against me fight. They would have just said, let's work on these things, present their arguments, prevent it, tell me why an electric car is better, let it beat me on the road instead of beat me over the head with it. Yeah, I really like that slogan. I just put that on bumper sticker, yeah. Do you have, do you know anyone in the bumper sticker business? I think you could actually design them online yourself right now. Great.
Breaking news, unique opinions. Here it all on the Brian Kilmeade. Hey, we are back. Mortisans with us and it's our privilege to have him for 45 minutes. It's going to be great. And he's got to hop on TV again. So, Mark, I don't know if you saw SNL. Usually, I've kind of given up on the show, but I did DVR it. And it was actually funny this week. They had some fun with the president's ballroom. And with the property brothers. Because, you know, the president redid the Lincoln Med Room. Lincoln Bedrooms Bathroom. Yeah. And then he took out the East Wing. And he forgot to fill out the right paperwork, perhaps. I'm not sure. But you just have, before I go to this funny stuff, just everyone should at home. Tell me what George W. Bush did. So everybody's freaking out that he's just destroying an iconic part of the White House and tearing it apart. And history is tearing that. When I was in the Bush administration. Bush destroyed the situation room. You know, this is the iconic sit room, the wood paneled room, where they debated the Cuban missile crisis, where Nixon planted the return to the opening to China, all this history at that. They took it out. And they replaced it with three sit rooms, modern, beautiful, much larger. A small one, a medium size, and a giant one, which is the one you see a lot on the TV shots. That was all done during the Bush administration. No one complained that he was destroying history. And actually what he did is he credited it up and it's at the Bush Library now. So you can actually go and sit in the situation room at the Bush Library. Wow. If Trump did something like that, like, hey, the East Room's at my library. He would love it. So this is S&L having some. fun with it with the property brothers This week on a very special episode of Property Brothers. This week, we're taking on our biggest challenge yet, building the new White House ballroom. So which one of you's married to New Girl and which one of you's the gay? Donald and Melania moved into this house nine years ago. They were evicted for four years, but they moved back in. Donald has a strong eye frontier design. I put these gold urns everywhere, like 100 in every room. And that makes me happy. It's very important to be happy these days. Really dark stuff happening in the world. Some of it me. And here's a crown I just got from my trip to Asia. Nothing says democracy like a crown, right? And his wife, Melania, well, she's got a style all her own. And I love these Halloween decorations you pull out. Those are for Christmas.
Kind of funny. It is very funny. So, you know, it's funny. I was in the Oval Office a couple of months ago with my daughter's hockey team who won the USA Hockey National Championship and the president, had the whole team into the local office. And he had just done a lot of it. He had not completed it, but just he was showing off the renovation of the Oval Office and all the changes he'd made and everything. And by the way, do you like it? It's beautiful. Yes, exactly. And he sort of in an offhand way, he said, you know, In my first term, I didn't have a lot of time for decorating because I was fighting for survival. And then he paused and he said, now they're fighting for survival. And he's got time to decorate. So I think these are all the unconsumated plans that he had in the first term that because of the Russia, Russia, Russia, and all the rest of it and the two impeachments that he didn't have time to do all these renovations. But this is where his heart is. He's a builder. Here's a little more. The house is only 55,000 square feet and 132 rooms. We need more space. Right, honey. We need more space. And we need a ballroom because Donald, he loved to dance. I'm a terrific dancer. Terrific dancing. Just ask your eyes. We asked Donald what his budget was, and he said between 350 million and infinity. And then we asked if you needed a permit, and Donald laughed really hard. He said, I could build this ballroom with the bones of my enemies, and no one could stop me. As opposed to a bone head, like my brother. Oh, you hush up. We showed Donald our plan for a ballroom that would match the current proportions, but he kept clicking enlarge. I think it's now open the fence and into the street. They can drive around it. Oh, and I want a ring for MMA fights. Official ones, but also casual fights in the backyard. You know what I'm talking about? Two mentally ill guys just wailing on each other. We do bum fights again. Remember bum fights? We love bum fights. It's pretty funny. I'm glad they're back to doing normal comedy and not hateful comedy, number one. Right. Number two, we do need a ballroom in the White House. I work there for seven years. And, you know, I remember once when I was when I first got to the White House and I was a younger staffer, I got an invitation saying, you're invited to a state dinner. And I was like, oh, this is really exciting. Get my black tie, bring my wife and everything like that. And what it was was, we were invited to a cocktail party in the basement while the state dinner took place. And then they could bring us up for the entertainment at the end, for the show, for dessert and the entertainment. So like literally, like, there's nowhere to put you. There's nowhere to put you. You know, even if you make the cut to a state dinner, there's like, you know, I guess I was at the lower tier. But with this ballroom, you'll be able to invite everybody. You know, you won't have that problem. And we should have that. Absolutely. All right. So I want to go switch over to Joe Biden because I agree with Mark Halpern.
This is one of the biggest stories that nobody's covering is that he was not running the country. And the auto pen, he has no idea who he pardoned. He has no idea what he did. And in fact, the one time he did insert himself, I think the story will be he's out of his mind. He had his idea of one person to get out of Afghanistan the way we did it. And he forced the generals to do it. The generals should have put their stars down and it would have caused. Amen. It would have caused an eruption. And everybody would have come in and say, we've got to come up with another plan. But instead they said, if you're going to make us take all these troops out, we're going to have to leave right away. And they ended up the biggest disaster in modern American history. Remember he said, this is not going to be another Saigon. You're right. It is worse. So listen to Gavin Newsom's description of the Joe Biden he knows. Cut 24. I'm not going to substitute myself for someone else or for. popular opinion. I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former President of the United States, including at the end of his term, quite literally, in December, which was a master class of foreign policy and domestic policy, which I will never forget as we walk through, not just the election, but we're walking through the world we're living in. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable for. So let me start with the first part of that, which is when he says the words my truth. I have a rule that if someone uses the phrase, my truth, they're too stupid to listen to because there is no truth is not subjective. You could have my opinion and your opinion, but you can't have my truth and your truth. Truth is a fact. Remember how Democrats got so upset when Kelly Ann Conway said alternative facts? Like, how can you have alternative facts? You know, what is my truth? So that's just that part of the statement is disqualifying for him as a president anyway. But then to say that he was run a masterclass in foreign policy, this was the worst foreign policy presidency in the history of the country. And that's saying something because under Jimmy Carter, like a dozen countries fell to communism. Right. Right. I mean, the Afghan withdrawal was the, as you say, the worst foreign policy crisis in a disaster in my lifetime, complete incompetence. And think about the world that Donald Trump left Joe Biden. The world was at peace. NATO allies were starting to spend more money on the alliance. There were no wars going, you know, major wars going anyone. Trump comes back into the world's on fire. You got wars on two continents because the Russians looked at Joe Biden and said, this is our chance to go into Ukraine because he's weak. Look at what he did, the weakness of the withdrawal from Afghanistan. If it had not been for the withdrawal from Afghanistan, there would not have been for the war in Ukraine. If it had not been for the war in Ukraine and the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Iran would have never let Hamas go ahead and do the attack on Gaza. You remember Jake Dan Sullivan two days before the attack? He said there's never been such a time of peace. Yeah, it's quietest he's ever seen it in his life. I mean, you know, Joe.
was it Robert Bill Gates who said that Joe Biden never never been nobody he's been wrong about everything he's surrounded by a whole team of geniuses who are who are equally wrong about everything as well so tactically you know politics why would Gavin Newsom say this Joe Biden's done. His family, basically he's an army of one, him, his family protected, but nobody else is protecting him. Why would he do this? I don't know. It's really puzzling. And again, my assessment of his intelligence went down with my truth statement. So maybe he's not as smart as he think as we give him credit for. But look, this is a guy who, I mean, he lies through his teeth. He'll say anything. And I just, I think anybody who has the record that he has in California who thinks that people are going to promote him on the basis of that to be president of the United States and to turn the entire United States into California, I think is dreaming. You know, those early polls. He is first. Yeah. Because he's handsome and accomplished and articulate, right? So you remember the debate that Sean hosted between him and Ron DeSantis? If you look at that debate as two of us who watch the news all day long, watch politics, I mean, I don't think you get to watch the news because you're on the news for like every hour. I mean, you started at 6 a.m. and you got like three more hits today plus your radio show, plus like taping for your weekend show. So I don't know how you get to follow the news because you're actually on it all the time. You're attacking me, but go ahead. I mean, it's just, you know, just a. side note. But if you pay attention to this stuff, then you then you see, you know, that Ron DeSantis won that debate on points, right? Gavin Newsom won it on style. He, he looks presidential. He complimented Ron DeSantis's wife and, you know, his service in the military like that. He looks the part and he sounds the part and he's likable. And that can take you so far, but substance still matters. And I think on substance he loses. Can you imagine him on the stage? with Kamala Harris, I guess Josh Shapiro, let's say Andy Beshear is out there, let's say Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez out there. At one point, they're going to have to say, you did a terrible job in California. You know, look at how many people. I feel like going, okay, go ahead. Just like Jake Tapper writing the book going, something's wrong with Joe Biden. I'm going to be like, yes, have that. And I'm going to see what if he survives that. But that's the only reason why Kamala Harris was ever able to get the nomination because she didn't have to go through that process because she couldn't have survived it. Absolutely. That brings me right to George Clooney, who was on CBS. Didn't want to talk about this, but they brought up his op-ed and why Kamala Harris was the wrong candidate, cut 27. We had a chance. I wanted there to be, as I wrote in the op-ed, a primary. Let's battle test this quickly. get it up and going. I think the mistake with it being Kamala Harris is that she had to run against her own record. And it's very hard to do if the point of running is to say I'm not that person. It's hard to do. And so she was given a very tough task. I think it was a mistake, quite honestly. But we are where we are. We were going to lose more house seats, they say. So, you know, I don't know. To not do it would be to say, I'm not going to tell the truth.
Yeah, so, you know, I would have had a lot more respect for George Clooney if he had published his op-ed before the debate. Absolutely. You know, anybody who came out and criticized Biden after the debate, it's like... You know, sorry, you missed your chance. You know, if you look at the – and same thing with journalists, like Andy Linsky and wrote this great piece in the Wall Street Journal a few weeks before the debate, saying that Biden was no compass mentis. The entire media establishment turned on her, the entire political establishment turned on her and attacked her. And then three weeks later, they're all, you know, they're all saying the same thing that she was saying in more detail. So I have zero respect for people like George Clooney who wouldn't call it out before. happened. Yeah. And what about Jake Tapper writes that book and makes a bazillion dollars? And he does all this reporting. He has all these people for cabinet meetings. Nobody knew. By the way, Pete Buttigieg, is he going to run for president? He can't answer the question. How many times do you meet with the president? How many times do you even talk to him? Did he even know what you were doing? Yeah. Anybody who watched that and didn't say anything, I think it's disqualified. Yeah. So on Jake Tapper, if his book had been a mea culpa that I was fooled. I should have asked tougher questions. I should have, you know, I miss this story. And it's my fault. And now I'm making up for it by going back and digging. I would have had a modicum of respect for that, even though it was a lot of CYA going on. But he didn't even do that. He just, you know, he, he is so zero respect for him. I don't think anybody associated with the Biden administration has a shot in hell of becoming the nominee. I can't talk to you and let you go before we talk about Ukraine. Do you believe the president? is close or far away from giving Tomahawks to Volodymyr Zelensky and how much of a difference would it make? It would make a huge difference. So here's the thing. The Ukrainians have their own missiles that they've built. They have drones that they build that can reach deep into Russia, but they can't carry the payload. And so what a Tomahawk does is it allows you to deliver a larger payload. deep into Russian territory. And first of all, it's not escalatory. Everybody's running around saying, oh, escalation, escalation. The Russians have fired 2,400 cruise missiles into Ukraine, and they're targeting residential neighborhoods. They're targeting shopping malls. They're targeting children's hospitals. They're charging kindergartens, which is a slap in the face to Melania Trump in doing that. So the Ukrainians would be using this against military and industrial targets. You don't have to put sanctions and secondary tariffs on countries if you blow up the refineries. And, you know, with the drones, you can damage them. With this, you can take them out. You can take out there's a drone factory in Tartarstan, which is out of reach right now of Ukraine, where all the drones that are attacking Ukraine are being built. If you take that out, they're crippled. You take out some of the strategic bomber bases where they're firing their cruise missiles from. So this would be transformational. It would bring Vladimir Putin to his knees and force him to the negotiating. He said, if you do this as a game changer, World War III. Oh, please. You know, honestly, this is. With all respect, that worked on Joe Biden, right? Joe Biden, every time, Joe Biden was terrified of escalation with Vladimir Putin. So he kept slow rolling all these weapons to Ukraine because Vladimir Putin would say, oh, that'll be escalatory. It'll be World War III. And he's like, oh, we don't want to start a thermonuclear war. And then he eventually did it and there was nothing.
Right? Vladimir Putin never, how many weapon systems did Biden finally give where Vladimir Putin threatened World War III and World War III never happened? And he's not going to start World War III with Donald Trump. True or false, it takes six months to train Ukraine on Tom Hux? False. False. True of false, we don't have enough. We have enough. So number one, on the training, that's how long it takes to train someone who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy to become a cruise missile operator in the U.S. military for a career. It's not how much long. Jack Keane tells me it takes six weeks to train a Ukrainian to how to fire. They're quick alerts. And they're motivated. And they're not doing, you know, government required only eight hours a day of training. And also it's the land-based version of the Tomahawk. It's called a typhoon, it's the army system. It's not as complicated to fire as a naval one or an air-based one. So you can absolutely train them. And the U.S. military just did an assessment and says we have enough for our own defense that we can. share some with the Ukrainians. So that's not a problem. I hope they do it. Ukraine has earned our respect. And I think the country's respect. And they're really fighting for all of Eastern Europe and for the free world. Because if we don't stop this guy here, every two years, every year and a half, another purge, another election is going to be hindered. Another breach of a border is going to happen. But somehow they've got to be brought to heal. And also the lesson is what? How did Trump succeed in the Middle East and getting peace? He forced Hamas to the table. He didn't negotiate with them and convince them and persuade them to do it. He threw the attack on Iran, through Israel's attacks on Hamas, they broke their will and forced them to the table. That's the only way you get Vladimir Putin to negotiate peace. Mark Heisen, the only thing to get you for 45 minutes is to have Michael Goodwin, have larangitis. So. Would you're saying always your second choice? Yeah. No, you would have been great for a half hour. But I got you. But I overstayed my welcome. 30 minutes of T-Ston is okay. Half, 45 minutes, we're stretching it. America's a better place. And yet we have three hours of Brian Kilmeade. Back at a moment. Learning something new every day on the Brian Kilmeade. Are you sad to lose the historic presidential movie theater? You know, Bill Clinton called it the best perk of being president. Bill Clinton said that. He said that the best perk for him.
was the movie theater. Unfortunately, the renovation hit a bit of a snag when Donald realized he had deported all the construction workers. I pulled into the Home Depot parking lot and yelled, just give me the whites. You know, I want the day laborers from Norway and Sweden, but apparently they don't exist. But in the end, we're confident the new ballroom will be a shining beacon of freedom for all Americans. That's pretty funny. I mean, it's very funny. That Bill Clinton line was fantastic. That's fantastic, yeah. By the way, Bill Clinton was at the New York City Marathon. You know why? Chelsea ran. Yeah, who would think that Chelsea could be in that type of shape? I knew she could always do it, but he had a bandit on this news, which is what everyone wrote about. I'm with you so much. You have never said, I bet you Chelsea can do a marathon. This hour, we're going to be joined by John Levine of the Washington Free Beacon and Harry Hurley, host the WPG Talk Radio. If you want to know what's going to happen, he's over in Atlantic City, but if you want to know what's going to happen in this race in New Jersey, he's one-stop shopping. analyzed almost every single race. He'll put it in perspective. Also, why Governor Chris Christie ran, he spoke over the weekend and said, look, essentially, I know the formula to winning in New Jersey as a Republican. Nobody called them about it, and I think that's a mistake, by the way. I'm not sure what his relationship with Jack Ciattarelli is, but I have the formula that he mentioned on ABC, and I'll bring that forward. So before we get to Harry, let's get to the big three. Number three. I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former president of the United States. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable for. My truth, my truth about Joe Biden, can't wait. Dem still can't get their story straight about the invisible presidency of Joe Biden. Their unremarkable VP and nominee Kamala Harris and their agenda in the future.
We look at it all. Number two. And I know some of you are out there scared of the idea of a young socialist Muslim mayor, so allow me to put you at ease by smiling after every answer in a way that physically hurts my face. SNL was actually funny this weekend, making fun of Zohran Mamdani, election year. Eve. Two governor's races when mayor race on this solid blue states. I mean, this should be a blue run. This is a blue game played on their turf, but could upsets be brewing? We're going to look at the closing arguments. You have helped end these government shutdowns in the past when they came about. And you did it by bringing them. I'm very good at it. You brought members of Congress. I'm not going to do it by extortion. I'm not going to do it by being extorted by the Democrats who have lost their way. And by the way, even though she was interrupting there, Nora O'Donnell did a really fair job with the President of the United States, asked him, would you normally ask the president as opposed to really disparaging questions with the setup like Leslie Stahl did? Shut down week six, 34 days, and the results, disruption everywhere. Millions without paychecks, flights get grounded, snap benefits dry up. Republicans refuse to give into extortion, but below leadership, a deal might be brewing. Let's bring in, let's talk about what's happening in New Jersey now, and let's bring in Harry Hurley. Harry, welcome. Brian, great to be here. Hey, Harry, first off, are people in New Jersey worried about this shutdown? It's beginning to affect a lot of people you know in Atlantic City. No question. I can tell you the New Jersey Community Food Bank has its biggest need ever. It's very serious, Brian. So the SNAP benefits. Number one, I was stunned to see one in eight people in America get SNAP benefits. Do you know that I expanded 40% during the Biden years? That's stunning. So we look at that in flight delays. I saw Newark Airport at something like 120 flight delays and over 50 cancellations. So you want to get to people. Tell them they can't get to where they have to go. Exactly. The need is great. It's federal employees and it's everyone else that counts on that every month. Very serious matter. We see a lot of the local restaurants, Brian, offering children free meals for as long as this continues. This is a very significant problem that if they don't get their act together, and let's make it clear, Democrats are holding the government hostage. Democrats are preventing kids. from getting their food. This canard, and I hear you interview with people all the time, Brian, about this. This fakeout that as Republicans is ridiculous. So I wanted to talk about another area of your expertise, and that's New Jersey and the races and your formula. But I want you to hear what Chris Christie said over the weekend that he knows to be true, and he's one of the few Republicans who have won there twice, cut 19.
Do you think he's going to hit those numbers? Yes, I do. And it might not be identical to Chris Christie. For example, Jack Ciattarelli may pull more Democrats than Chris Christie did. Jack Ciattarelli may pull some other demographics that Chris Christie did. Let's not forget, Chris Christie's rhetoric there is obsolete. He didn't have nine days of early in-person voting. He didn't have all these weeks and weeks of vote by mail. The metrics are completely different now. Let's not forget. He came within 3%. four years ago when no one thought he could win. And the polling's been off. Why is it so hard to poll in New Jersey? Well, Brian, if you look at it, it's not New Jersey. Let's go to Iowa. Let's go to Seltzer. Let's go to Des Moines Register. Kamala Harris takes the lead five days before the election. She's now up by three points. Only, oops, Trump goes on to win by 13, the biggest margin since 1972. The polling is bad in New Jersey because the polling is bad all over the country. So right now, what are you looking at and what's the Harry Hurley formula and prediction for Tuesday? Well, here's the difference. Four years ago, Jack Hitterelli did not have the Republican National Committee. He did not have the Republican Governors Association. Hardly anyone thought he could win. The polls had him losing from eight to 15 points on the weekend before the election. I mean, nobody thought he could win, and he came 50 to 48, basically, 51 to 48. Here's what I'm looking for. Mikie Sherrill has about a 250,000 vote lead as we talk on the Brian Kilmeade. She got that by the vote by mail. The in-person voting, it's not 50-50, but it's probably 50-point to 49 point. So that's a great job by the Republicans. Big turnout tomorrow puts Jack Ciattarelli over the top. He beat Governor Murphy, good man, bad policies. He beat Governor Murphy. soundly on election day, he will beat Mikie Sherrill even bigger. That's going to put him over the top. And the closer with Barack Obama, I want you to hear his attack on behalf of Mikie Sherrill. Cut 16. Mikey's opponent has now run for governor three times in a row. I mean, I believe in persistence, but at a certain point. So three times in a row.
Other two times he lost. So this time, his strategy is to suck up to the Republicans in Washington. So Donald Trump called Mikey's opponent 100% MAGA. Not a great endorsement. So is that true? I mean, do you think he's sucking up to Donald Trump at the White House? Not even close. He enjoys the endorsement, and it is a full-throated endorsement of the President of the United States. Who wouldn't take that? Mikie Sherrill took Barack Obama as a former president. Let's remember, Mikie Sherrill was campaigning yesterday in North Jersey, where she should have that put to bed, and that should be so comfortable. Jack Ciattarelli was campaigning in North Jersey. where he needs to pick up support. You tell a lot, Brian, and you know this. She's been doing this a long time. You tell a lot by where they're campaigning. Remember, Hillary Clinton didn't think she needed a campaign in Michigan. Oops, how'd that turn out? Mikie Sherrill is bringing Obama in at the last hour because she didn't close the deal. He didn't support Zohran Mamdani, did he? He didn't support that guy, Jay Jones in Virginia either. Obama endorsement. It doesn't mean much anymore. I'll tell you what, when Zohran Mamdani says, I'll be an advisor, said some nice things, but didn't endorse him. You can't go halfway. David Drucker was on MSNBC and talked about the New Jersey race as a senior writer at Dispatch, cut 20. There are progressive operatives and some others that are a little concerned about the margin and would have preferred a more dynamic candidate in Mikie Sherrill. Her resume is pristine, Navy veteran attorney. There is nothing wrong to say about her, but she is a part of this internal Democratic Party debate of do we go bold and populace or do we go center left and suburban? And so the margin here, figuring she wins, which is more likely than not. The margin here is going to be something to watch because it's going to have a lot of influence on how Democrats nationally interpret what's going on with their party. I will say Republicans are more optimistic than you might think, given everything that's happening in Washington. What do you think? Well, he's right about that. He's wrong about a whole lot of the rest. Remember, the Republican is always losing. Chris Christie and all the good stuff winning two elections. It was fantastic. But he was supposed to lose the first time. Only he won by about 4.6%. Tom Kane was supposed to lose. Oops, only he beat Florio. Christy Whitman was supposed to lose. Only she won. So they're always wrong about this. I know this. Mikie Sherrill's resume. is excellent. She flew a helicopter. Fantastic. And we thank you for your service. Federal prosecutor, it all looks good on paper. She's been a terrible candidate, absolutely terrible.
She's really not comfortable on her feet. Doesn't look like she studies much on policy. And Jack Ciattarelli, he's got a lot of substance. He knows exactly what he's going to do. I know Trump tonight will have a teller rally for Jack because it's a tough situation. You know, he did lose New Jersey. So you don't want to say he's going to be Trump in charge of New Jersey. But what he does have is he'll have an ally in the White House. And that'll be key. So you have to have a little bit of separation. But as you know, Brian, President Trump. lost New Jersey to Kamala Harris by six points. He lost to Joe Biden by 16. New Jersey is changing. And I note this on your show, Brian. It's important. Dozens of Democrats have come out and supported Jack Ciattarelli. I mean, they put their careers and their names. Yes. That's right. Not just anybody. Big names. There's not one Republican that I can name that has crossed over to support Mikie Sherrill. What's so interesting, don't take this personal, Harry, is Zohran Mamdani came out and said, I am going to mirror the tax rate of New Jersey. Are you proud of your tax rate? Is that something that should be copied by the New York City? said the first Democrat socialist who sadly is going to be mayor of New York City. But that will be the gift of the midterm elections, Brian, Zohran Mamdani. Jack Ciattarelli, I asked him that very question. I played the cut with him saying, we're going to be like New Jersey. And this what he said, cut 18. I'm hoping this guy doesn't win, but if he does, we're going to roll out the welcome at New Jersey, not only for individuals, but businesses too, because here's what I plan on doing. We need to reduce the size and cost of a bloated, inefficient state government that's up 64%. during the current governor's term, all of which supported by my opponent. When we reduce the size and cost to state government, I'm reducing taxes for individuals and businesses. So New Jersey is going to be more attractive than ever to New York individuals and businesses that want to flee. So he took that and went into his policy. Go ahead. Brian, Jack Ciattarelli has deep and thoughtful answers to any question you give him. He's so experienced, he's so prepared and so ready. In a Mike Wallace Ted Robert F. Kennedy Jr. moment, Mikie Sherrill was asked. It was kind of like a throwaway at the end, like they had extra time, like they blew the interview. Oh, I'll throw one more question out. A meatball. Mikey or, you know, Ms. Cheryl, what would be the first thing you would do if you were elected? Brian, she didn't have an answer to the first thing she would do. You had Chinarelli, I'm going to lower taxes. I'm going to get us out of Reggie. I'm going to make our energy bills lower. He could go on and on and on. You'd have to stop him. She said, oh, I have so many things going through my head. It's a really good question. I can't think of one answer because she didn't have an answer. Absolutely. And final thought, Harry Hurley, New Jersey in for Life, WPG Talk Radio host, your prediction is?
My prediction is, and I'm the one that said that Chris Christie would beat John Corzine by between four and five points, and he won by 4.6. Jack Ciattarelli, book it on the Brian Kilmeade will be the next governor of New Jersey. All right, Harry, you're on the record. We're taping it. Allison, you're taping this, right? Okay, good. The talk show that's getting you talking. You're with Brian Kilmeade. One of the interesting things to watch both in Virginia and New Jersey and even in New York City is going to be to dissect the returns and see what's the polling like? How many people went from... the Hispanic community of Hispanic voters and from young voters. Because those are the two voting groups where Donald Trump has lost the most support in the course of this year. So if they turn out in big numbers for the Democrats in New Jersey and in Virginia... particularly in New Jersey where there's a big Hispanic population, but in Virginia as well, I think that will be a lot of comfort to Democrats going into the midterms next year. If they can get those groups that bring them back from their Trump vote in 24. Okay, fair enough. That is... Katie Kay, and I'm not sure who she's with. Is that on MSNBC what she was saying that? Okay, MSNBC. That's a solid analysis because what they say is he's lost some Hispanic support by the aggressive nature. This is according to polling experts who have looked at this. He's lost Hispanic support of the aggressive nature of checking and tracking down illegal immigrants. Okay. I think he's also gained some support because a lot of people were upset. that there were illegal immigrants everywhere, and they came over the right way in every community. And just so happens that most of the illegal immigrants happen to be Hispanic. It doesn't matter. They're not targeting Hispanics. We don't have many Swedes coming in here. The Canadians aren't really an issue. So that's pretty much what's happening central and South America. Now, I have one prevailing question. What happened all those Chinese that came across? Remember the guys that came off with roller bags and walked into the border? Where are they? So, I mean, we had also some Iranians come through there. They were able to track down a few. I saw that last week. But let me tell you, too, about some of the off-year election stats and some of the things about Donald Trump. They say his approval ratings right around 43%, 43%, 44%. And it's pretty much the way it goes. ABC says 67% of the country say we're on the wrong track. Way too high. But do you know under Joe Biden last year of his presidency, 75%. So he's actually going down. 66% disapprove of his handling of the economy because he thought inflation would be down quicker, I imagine. 66 disapprove of his tariffs. 59 blame him for inflation. That all gets fixed. What I think the president's doing is tilling the soil. He's turning it over, getting ready for seasons. To do that, you've got to cause a lot of disruption. And he's rebalancing trade. And I think a lot of these jobs are going to open up as they start bringing major power bases down here with all those deals that were cut with Nvidia, all those deals that were cut with Meta, as well as with Elon Musk. And all these companies and Sam Altman are building up their own.
energy, their own energy capacity. And they're doing it with their own money. And they're going to hire Americans and they're doing it here. Now, other things, NBC did a poll. Issues on foreign policy, 43% approve. I don't understand that. And look, if 43% of the country only approved the president's foreign policy, you see the way United the Gulf states, you see the way he got the hostages out, you see what's going on with China. We're actually having relationships with them now as much as we should never drop our guard. You see how he's taking out the drug lords in Venezuela and Colombia. He's challenging them. And he's making the Caribbean no longer a free ride for all the drug cartel members. It blows me away that that's the number. But that's a number. Midterm elections. Who do you want to control Congress? Democrats have a 50-42 lead right now. In March, it was 48-47. This is NBC, Paul. How's your feeling towards the party? This is not good for Democrats. Only 28% of the American people feel positive about their party. Democrats, I says. 53% feel negative about Democrats. Republicans' approval numbers at 37-46. So it's a lot different. And that's something. that Republicans, if they dislike the poll, they probably like that portion of the poll. We'll see. A lot of people thought that Glenn Youngkin winning in Virginia was going to mean a route for the Republicans in the midterms under Joe Biden. But it was so good for Joe Biden that he basically thought, I should just run for the election. Had it been bad, he wouldn't have. Cheers to America's 250th birthday. Communists, not socialist, communist. He's far worse than a socialist. Some people have compared him to a left-wing version of you, charismatic, breaking the old rules. What do you think about that? Well, I think I'm a much better looking person than him, right? But what if Zohran Mamdani becomes mayor? It's going to be hard for me as the president to give a lot of money to New York, because if you have a communist running New York, all you're doing is wasting the money you're sending there. So I don't know that he's one, and I'm not a fan of Andrew Cuomo one way or the other, but if it's going to be between... a bad Democrat and a communist, I'm going to pick the bad Democrat all the time, to be honest with you. And that's the president's tough choice, so we're all waiting to see if the polls are right and it's a double-digit lead or at the very least a six-point win for Zohran Mamdani with no experience, now in Socialists, who has ridiculous policies. John Levine is with us now from the Washington Free Beacon. John, your reaction to what you think is going to happen. We're seeing the turnout.
go through the roof way above. I mean, yeah, 735,317 early voters, tomorrow being election day. In 2021, the number was 169,000. What do you think that means for the overall election? I mean, look, there's certainly been evidence, especially with turnout on the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, which generally skews older, that there might be a sort of late-breaking Andrew Cuomo surge. But remember, the energy goes in both directions. So there's unusually high turnout. Zohran Mamdani's people have also fired up, and he's drawing bringing out a lot of young people. So I think Andrew Cuomo might find some support out of the wilderness. But I really, I mean, Zohran Mamdani still has like a double-digit lead in most of the polls. And I don't, that's going to be a really, really hard goal to overcome, I think. Even though they basically admit most of the stuff that he wants to do is not plausible or possible? Oh, yeah, well, none of that matters. I mean, just whatever you can sell to people, you know, and selling free stuff is an incredibly seductive platform, especially for young people who don't realize how implausible and impractical it is and how unworkable it is, because unfortunately they've been let down by their educators or society that they haven't been educated, that this doesn't work, and it sounds very attractive. And it's the... It's the devil of all socialist policies. They always sound great. And then actually, when you have to get down to it, they always meet with disaster. So let's look at what's happening in New York City right now. We have New York Post in particular going out of their way to say, do not elect this guy. They listed today the 20 reasons not to elect him. The first five were because he hates the police. The sixth one, he's never met a failed idea they didn't like. Number seven, he wants to globalize the intifada. He's right. He'll cause the international incident, try lessening Benjamin Netanyahu. He sides with hate. And number 10, he claims he's always a victim. But here's the thing. When you talk about anti-Semitism, when you talk about freeze the rent and tax the rich, instead of that and defund the police? and he calls him, you know, anti-queer. These are all the statements. People say, well, he's got to go and justify them. The people that are voting for them like those ideas. You know, I think in New York City, he managed to tack on to a real issue, a real issue, which is affordability. You know, the rent in New York City for a one-bedroom apartment now is something like $4,000 a month. It's really, really crazy, the average rent. It's really gotten out of control, and we are building housing, but it's not enough. And young people, you know, a lot of people spend all their money on rent in New York City, and then that's it. And it's a real problem. And I think there's a sense that both parties have failed to address this in New York City for a very long time. And so all the issues you just mentioned are very valid and, in fact, terrifying that we're going to have that person in City Hall. But I feel like for a lot of voters, it's a single issue election about affordability. And Zohran Mamdani was very smart and very canny in recognizing that.
and he's going to run with it all the way to Gracie Mansion. Right, he could recognize and say the statement, but his cure is ridiculous. Freeze the rents, then we have no more landlords. Then the landlords go, you know what, it's safe, it's easier and cheaper for me to leave these apartments empty. Hundreds of thousands apartments are empty. And the anti-Semitism, this is the second biggest, I guess, most concentrated area for Jewish Americans. In the outside Israel, it's probably outside Israel. It's number one. Here's what Zohran Mamdani said when asked about your message to Jewish New Yorkers. Cut 10. First, what I would say is that there's no room for anti-Semitism in the city, and it's a scourge that I would root out of the five boroughs as someone who will be leading the entirety of the city. And I lead this city not just to lead Jewish New Yorkers who vote for me, but frankly any Jewish New Yorker and any New Yorker who calls the city home. And I've made clear my thoughts on Israel and Palestine, and I'm also running to be the leader of this city. And that means leading everyone, no matter their opinions on that subject or any subject, but to ensure that this is a city that they can see themselves in, whether in my city hall or in the city that they call. Feel better? No, and I mean, you know, arresting Benjamin Netanyahu, that's a very... prosaic concern. I mean, he doesn't live here. You know, that's not something a day-to-day issue. But what if you're, say, a nonprofit that wants to work with Israel and you do, you do, what if you're a business that has business in Israel, are you going to be targeted? And he, and that's just not me, you know, fearmonger. He sponsored legislation in Albany, not on our dime act. I heard everyone to Google it that would penalize nonprofits for working in Israel. And that would deny them city-state funding. So it's a real concern. And he hasn't ever been really asked for the details of how are you going to put this sort of rapid anti-Israel agenda into practice day-to-day. It's a lot more than just arresting Benjamin Netanyahu, which I would agree is not really a concern for most people day to day. If you do any work with Israel or Zionist organizations, you're going to be in big trouble. Yeah, by the way, he is somebody that does not say Hamas is a terror group and will not tell them to put down their arms, even though that was part of a Gaza peace agreement. Meanwhile, is he the future of the party? Because he'll become a national figure if he wins this city's race. Hakeem Jeffries was asked that, cut 12. Do you see Zohran Mamdani is the future of the Democratic Party? No, I think the future of the Democratic Party is going to fall as far as we're concerned relative to the House Democratic caucus and members who are doing a great work all across the country as it relates to our need to both take back control of the House. He does no idea what he's saying. He does not want to endorse him. He endorsed him just a week ago. Chuck Schumer still hasn't done anything. Gillibrand hasn't touched him. I mean, what's he doing to the Democratic Party, John Levine?
I mean, I can tell you, most normal Democrats who are out there don't want the Democratic Party. But, you know, really not up to them at the end of the day. And if that's where Democratic voters are going and if the progressives take over the institutions, Zohran Mamdani could be the future of the Democratic Party. And he's not going to be president because he was born in Uganda. And maybe he's more comfortable there. But lastly, what does it mean for the governor's race? I talked to Elise Stefanik, the congresswoman from upstate New York. And I asked her what it means for you running for governor and the fact that the polls are flat. This is what she said about Zohran Mamdani's winning or losing. Cut 14. Kathy Hochul made that calculated decision because she has no support even within her own party. Because of her abysmal polling, she has bent the knee to this pro-Hamas, jihadist, anti-capitalist, defund the police candidate who is likely on the precipice of potentially winning the mayoral seat of the most important city, not just in the country, Brian, but in the world. The world is watching this. And Kathy Hochul put her own political future, which is being resuscitated. And yet... They are never going to allow her. They chanted and heckled her saying, tax the rich, tax the rich. So she will be forced to bend the knee. She owns all of these horrific positions that are out of touch with hardworking New Yorkers. Because she endorsed him, but he did not endorse her. I'm going to put this even more succinctly than Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. She will be governor of New York City if Zohran Mamdani becomes mayor. And I want you to all remember I said that right here. I understand. John, go get on that train. Thanks so much for your time. John Levine, Washington Free Beacon. Appreciate it. You can follow Matt Levine, Jonathan. Thanks so much. All right. When we come back, we'll talk a little bit more about the direction of the Democratic Party. Ezra Klein, who writes for the New York Post, excuse me, New York Times, had a column. Just talked about how they need to fight it out on the Democratic Party and find out their direction, whether it's with Bernie Sanders Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or it's with the Governor Josh Shapiro's and Andy Beshear's and people in the middle. And he got roasted for it by the left. I'm going to put it out there and let you make the call. Don't move. Diving deep into today's top stories, it's Brian Kilmeade. Information you want, truth you demand. This is the Brian Kilmeade. Sponsored by Previgin. Previgin, made for your brain. Officials in New York say that a Manhattan parking lot along the East River will be turned into an outdoor gym. Oh, that's awesome. That way all the psychotic vagrants on the street can get super strong.
Pretty funny. That's true. One of the gold's gym, that attitude. But that's what actually is going to be on our buses. So it'll be fantastic shortly. So I was telling you about Ezra Klein, wrote this column about how Democrats have to have this civil war. They have to have it out and find out who the best person is rather than secretly decide destroying Bernie Sanders because they were afraid he'd win. Go out and have the debate. Maybe socialism is your future. And Ezra I wrote a column about this. Keep in mind, he's a liberal columnist who wrote a book basically saying that Democrats have become complainers. They've become a bunch of people who just want to tell you what to do and how to live your life and go ahead and sign on to the green economy or a terrible person and go woke and be politically correct. And no one wants any part of it anymore. Try to remake yourself. Look inside in order to know what to do better. Here's Senator John Fetterman. He thinks he knows the future. Cut 13. No, that's going to be New York's voice. Socialism is not the future of my party, and if that's going to be their future, that's really up to New York City to decide those things. You know, we all know how socialism works out. Ask anybody that's live under those kinds of systems all across the globe. Yes, he's trying to make sense of it. I imagine Governor Andy Beshear, everyone in Kentucky tells me he's not moderate, but let's just say that he is a popular governor in a very red state and he's a Democrat. And let's just say Josh Shapiro is a popular governor in a battleground state and he's a Democrat. So I imagine he has to know how to function with the other side. That's what he's demonstrated. That's what they think anyway. So Ezra Klein says, well, really, that's the best thing that could happen to the party. Now, this is a internal fight. So this girlwoman, Emera Vigland on MSNBC. She's a co-host of the progressive podcast. The majority report called out this school of thought for measure client. Cut 34. I mean, I don't know what reality is reclin is living in, the fact that the Democratic Party has tacked to its left, in what universe, the coalescing around Joe Biden in the 2020 primary, the besmirching of Bernie Sanders supporters, the issuing of that movement in 2016. And even in this current moment with Zohran Mamdani, who has been a shot in the arm for the Democratic Party, you still have Chuck Schumer refusing to endorse him, and Hakeem Jeffries's endorsement is lukewarm at best. There is a fight right now within the Democratic Party. And Ezra Klein is representing a floundering corporatist, centrist flank that is increasingly irrelevant in the party. And he's trying to carry water for them in the Times. I mean, I think it's a lucrative thing to do, but it's not necessarily matching the reality. All right. So let's dissect what she said. She said, oh, the party is not left, but it should be.
It should be with Bernie Sanders. Chuck Schumer should have endorsed earlier. Keem Jeffrey should have endorsed earlier. And when she comes out and says, well, they're not to the left. But then she said, those people who are not to the left, looking at using Ezra Klein as a target, says the centrist's flank that is increasingly irrelevant in the party. And he's trying to carry water for them. The centrist flank. The centrist flank is Bill Clinton. The centrist flank is how Barack Obama ran for president. The centrist flank is John Fetterman and Joe Manchin. I don't know. I'm not sure they could, none of these people can win a nomination in the party. What Ezra Klein is trying to say is, I'm not going to speak for him. I'm no Ezra Klein biographer. He's trying to say is, it would help if one of them won. Because if they're going to get through the nomination, process because Joe Biden is not a moderate. Joe Biden ended up being a radical left and to the point where I think Barack Obama was jealous of all the left-wing things he did. So if somebody was to get through the primary in the middle, they'd have a better chance of winning. That was the point. That remains the point. The other person who thinks he's running is Governor Gavin Newsom. And then out of nowhere, you know, he said a week ago, I can't lie to you, I'm really thinking about running for president. He's asked to meet the press. I don't want to bring that up. I don't want to be president. You know, I'm going to answer your question, but I'm not going to, all of a sudden he wants to backtrack what he said last week. But Kamala Harris called him out in his book, said that when she got the nomination, she called everyone she could. And when she called Gavin Newsom, a person, they both agree, they've known each other for 20, 30 years. He said he was hiking. hiking. So everyone thought that he was going to get in a corner. Remember, he played like no role in her 107-day run. And I thought he was sideline intentionally, maybe because he wanted to be. He's still singing the praises of Joe Biden. So did he, in fact, punt when he came to supporting her? Cut 26. I don't know. I'm reflecting on. I think time will have more of an understanding. We can start with inflation. We can talk with interest rates. We don't talk about interest rates enough. We can talk about incumbency. We can talk about Israel. We can talk about immigration in the border. We can go through a myriad of list. We can talk about Joe Rogan. We can talk about Woke. We could talk about the 107 days. We could talk about the lack of an open primary. We can talk about the view. Again, I'm on page six of the 24 pages. And how you unpack that, how you stack that. in terms of everything, I think needs still a little bit more forensics, a little more analysis. Yeah, and his explanation he went on to say was, look, when I got the text, I couldn't believe that Joe Biden dropped out. I wanted to get confirmation under. I immediately endorsed her. And I kept hiking. I did have bad. I did have bad coverage. But she had a million people to call. Don't worry about me. I've known you for 20 years. I'll back you up. But he never really did. To see them, I cannot wait to see them on stage. And after someone will throw the first blow and then they're just going to rip each other apart, which you didn't. San Francisco was terrible, which you did. His governor was awful. You let those houses burn. But I'm not going to say it. You're not going to say it. Donald Trump's not going to say it. Harris will have to say that. And you know she will and turn on Gavin Newsom. And then Gavin Newsom's going to turn around and say, you had an opportunity to steal the border. What did you do?
And I'm not going to say that. Trump's not going to say it. They're going to be beating up on each other. It'll be great. And continuing for some reason, and I would never in a million years vote for Gavin Newsom, but I thought his politically knew where he was going. I have no idea why he's defending Joe Biden. It makes no sense to me. Nobody's defending Joe Biden outside KJP. And no one's even trying to book her on their talk shows. They're not trying to book. Her book is terrible. She's an independent who says, you know, says still holds to the fact that Joe Biden was on the top of his game. Only thing that Kamala Harris really says is, well, he would have trouble running for president, but not being president. Here's what Gavin Newsom said, cut 24. I'm not going to substitute myself for someone else or for. popular opinion. I'm going to express my relationship to my truth with the former President of the United States, including at the end of his term, quite literally, in December, which was a masterclass of foreign policy and domestic policy, which I will never forget as we walk through, not just the election, but we're walking through the world we're living in. There was nothing to suggest what you just said or others have suggested in terms of my interaction. That's all I can be accountable for. And just looking at Virginia before we go, it looks like the governor's race that wins some series. It's probably within five points. I'm not sure it'll be enough. Glenn Youngkin is doing everything possible to have her be his successor. I understand that. And then you know, Abigail Spanberger, who had Barack Obama out there campaigning for her in Norfolk, Virginia. But for the most part, she's just looking to hold on. As a congresswoman, some of her, some of her politicking has been absolutely awful. The big story is going to be. maybe, probably the AG race with Jason Minores. It's done a great job with the job, with getting the job, and then doing the job. And I think he earned another four years, especially with the star-cross guy like Jay Jones and says horrific things on text messages, which I thought was really revealing on his character. Brian Kilmeade-Chic.
