Alexis Antonio Cedios Campos charged in the death of a Virginia mother this week.

Every single death that is occurred by an illegal that was released into this country underneath a Biden administration, every one of those is 100% preventable. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Fox. That's what's at stake in November. But while James Talarico, the Democrat is all over TV with ads, including his grandpa. We haven't seen much from Republican Ken Paxton and some want to know why. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick threatened action against schools that continue to put explicit books into their libraries. Analysts say the strategy could work. One thing that schools don't want is bad publicity. So I think it should be something that is broadcast. That X school continues to break X laws. Gene Burke with College Prep Genius has fines on those schools and school districts. might also be required. Austin is also taking a closer look at what school districts are spending their money on. The comptroller's office wants to know of taxpayer dollars are going to administrators or to classrooms. Sherry Sylvester with the Texas Public Policy Foundation says that in suburban San Antonio, the head of Harlandale ISD is being paid $655,000 a year. For a school district that has 11,000 students and is rated D. She says there are many districts in the same situation. The comptroller promised uncover wasteful and inappropriate spending wherever they discover it. That is KTRH's Carrie Locky. Coming up on 505, prosecutors unveiled bombshell evidence never released during Carmelo Anthony's first trial. Prosecutors say that Anthony had a history of getting into fights, was obsessed with knives and guns, and fantasized about stabbing someone. In one text message to his girlfriend, Anthony, said, when I stab somebody, I'm going to lick their blood off the blade. As Garrett Tenney reporting, Anthony is seeking a new trial. Closer to home, Aris County's treasurer, Carla Wyatt, says her salary should be doubled to $30,000 a year. The committee yesterday and said recommended a 30% raise, bringing her pay to about $181,000. This work comes as county leaders consider eliminating her office and, oh, she's also facing a DWI charge in Galveston.

Federal lawsuit recently filed alleging that damage estimates from Hurricane Beryl two years ago were secretly reduced to save an insurance company millions. Attorney Sean Hodge is representing three Galveston homeowners. In one claim, the estimate from the field adjuster was just under $91,000, and then the alterations were made, and it reduced it down to just under $31,000. And that's why they are suing the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. And the flow and the scheme was the same for all three homeowners. So we suspect it's a much larger scale problem. You know, it gets really, really frustrating, obviously, when you listen to radical leftists say that people like Lieutenant Governor Patrick are trying to do book banning, trying to make it sound like they are somehow involved in and engaged in censorship. Age appropriateness is not censorship. You know what I'm talking about? Texas Tribune story, Dan Patrick covering this, Dan Patrick proposing penalties for schools that keep, quote, vulgar books on the library shelves. And they're freaking out over this and saying this is book banning. Yesterday, or excuse me, on Wednesday, Lieutenant Governor Patrick vowed to pass legislation punishing public schools that do not remove graphic books. And then he showed a bunch of them on easels with the covers in the book titles. The goal is to follow the law. The 2025 law aimed at weeding out these lewd and lascivious and inappropriate books. Excuse me, from the shells. of Texas is more than 9,000 campuses attended by 5.5 million schoolchildren. Quote, it's the law. And we expect you to follow the law. So we're coming for the books. That's the only line they're focused on, is they're coming for the books. We ask that you do it on your own and remove those books. So it was Senate Bill 13 from 2025, which granted school boards, the authority and quoting from the tribuna. the authority to approve and remove books based on complaints they received, such as those from parents and activists groups. Before those powers largely belonged to the school librarians who ran the show. But Patrick said an overwhelming majority of school boards have not taken any action despite the law nearing one year being in effect. He said that some of the books on the shelves were, quote, so filthy. so dirty, so vulgar, and so pornographic, end quote, that he refused to even open them out of respect for women in the room. And this happens, of course, in a lot of other places we've seen this. School board meetings? where activist parents will come in and start reading from the books that the children are allowed to read, and they're shut down by the school board members. Oh my gosh, you can't say that out loud. This is so vulgar. This is a graphic. Exactly. And you don't want them read here in public, yet you want them on the public shelves for our school children. So Lieutenant Governor correctly said, there are no books banned in America. You can buy any book you want. Nobody's burning books. Nobody's banning books. And I'm paraphrasing him now. But he said, we do not take taxpayer money and buy these books for our schools. And we do not make them available for age inappropriate children. So really, really important that this law was passed. Even more important that they start implementing it. And I think that's a doggone great way to start our, well, early weekend. 10 minutes after 5 o'clock now, you know what that means. A big rally outside the American Airlines Arena in Dallas yesterday as Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana fever came to play the wings in a WNBA game. And wow. A great crowd. I'm looking at some of the images right now on a little bit of the news sites that covered this. Sophie has become a folk hero. Sophie Kenningham. And all she had to do to become a folk hero is say something that is about as obvious as obvious gets, that men are men are men and women are women. She has no problem with trans people. She doesn't hate anybody. She just said when it comes to sports, for competitive purposes, men should not be in women's sports, biological males. And for privacy purposes, men shouldn't be in women's locker rooms either. Very simple. So the hate that she has received for making those very obvious statements is, of course, off the charts. So now almost everywhere she goes, there are rallies, or at least, you know, loosely organized things where people are coming to say, thank you, Sophie. So Texas values, we talked about this a little bit yesterday. Texas values, moms for liberty, moms for America, and the Independent Council on Women's Sports held this big event. yesterday and now there is some follow-up, not just in Dallas, but on the entire issue itself. A writer, a sports writer, has resigned when his left-wing newspaper refused to run a story about this very subject because it didn't fit the... papers orthodoxy. So a little more now on the Sophie Cunningham story and what the radical left is trying to do, not only to Sophie, but anybody that dares to support Sophie or just to be even a little bit neutral in the story. Headline. I quit my 11-year job after the Seattle Times killed my Sophie Cunningham column. Read it here. This is by a writer by the name of Matt Culkins. This one appeared in the New York Post. I don't know if it was picked up anywhere else, but he said, quote, I really wanted the column to run. I didn't think it would, but I felt obligated to try to get it in. Toward the end of last month before the Seattle Storm hosted the fever, just like the Dallas Wings last night. I spoke to people attending a rally in support of Sophie Cunningham outside Climate Pledge Arena about that. Just talk about radical leftism, climate pledge arena. The fever had recently taken the stance against biological males participating in women's sports.

So I talked to some of the few dozen folks who showed up to express their gratitude. One of them was a 16-year-old named Anna Lee Wilson who had lost to a biological male in a track race in eighth grade. And she was simply holding a sign that said, thank you, Sophie, for speaking up for girls. I didn't know if I was going to write something at the point, but she allegedly got cussed out by the storm co-owner during the game. And so I felt like I had to weigh in. And we all did see that. The owner, by the way, was suspended for some five games for abusing some of the fans at the game. But one thing that the 16-year-old emphasized to me at the rally, writes Culkins, that she wasn't anti-trans. Another student athlete named Francis Stout wasn't anti-trans either, but she endured daily verbal abuse after refusing to play against a biological boy in a basketball game for safety's sake. And she echoed Wilson's thoughts. So that was the thesis of my column, writes Matt Hawkins, two young girls who simply said, look, we're not bigoted in any way. We just don't want to participate against males. They shouldn't be in our sports. Doesn't make you automatically transphobic to say, I don't want to play against males if I'm a female. So he sent a draft of this column, this article, to his editor on the morning of Friday, July 31. Monday, he got an email saying his boss was hoping to talk to the two top newsroom editors about it on Wednesday. He had already been passed to other editors. No feedback had been given. Thursday afternoon, the editor said they weren't going to run it. They spiked the story because he didn't tell him he was doing this in advance. Calkins writes, I didn't buy this reasoning. If that were the case, the piece would have been killed on the spot, not passed through the hands of multiple editors over several days. Of course, because they were all trying to figure out how can we get by in radically wildly socialist Seattle. How can we let this appear in our newspaper? Remember, Seattle literally has a socialist mayor. So how can we possibly get this in without alienating, you know, let this run without alienating our radical socialist base of our city? And the answer is we couldn't. So they said we're not running it. Matt Hawkins' response was to, quote, resign on the spot. Quote, That may come off as an emotional decision, but it was exactly what I was prepared to do. This, after all, was one of several columns of mine that have been spiked by the Seattle Times. One was a piece questioning whether players for the U.S. women's national soccer team were really victims of discrimination in their equal pay lawsuit. Another was a general column on cancel culture in sports. And the last one, written shortly after George Floyd's death in 2020, implored people to listen to a state champion basketball coach. a black man urging the public not to stereotype cops over this. The common theme, every one of these challenged the prevailing newsroom narrative and would have triggered the outrage mob so they wouldn't run any of them. So now, after 11 years of doing good, conscientious work, he is unemployed, all because he dared to write a column now in support of girls who say they don't want to have to compete against nor be in locker rooms with biological males.

And this is the fight. Sorry, going to be overtly and blatantly political here, but this is literally what's on the ballot in November. And I'm sorry if anybody doesn't like to hear that. It is true liberty versus true on socialism. Cancel culture that we endured during four years of Biden is going to be alive and well all over again if power is granted back to the party that likes to censor any speech with which they disagree. And Matt Culkins is a brave guy, and I hope he picks up a spot in a city that will respect good, honest journalism, because that's disgusting. 527 now. The government is authorizing an early shift to the sale of wintertime gasoline blends. JD Vance says that the new economic pressure on Tehran is intended to ensure that they'll never get a nuclear weapon, but the regime appears to be trying to align itself more with China and Russia. However, their difficulty moving oil might be an obstacle. The naval blockade that's really choking off the ability for the Iranians to export oil around the world, which is their number one resource. It's really the lynchpin of their economy. Earlier this week, President Trump hinted that the Keystone XL oil pipeline could be coming back from the dead. Raising the possibility after announcing a tentative trade deal with Canada. I mean, we don't produce enough oil in the United States to be totally independent or independent. So we need all out of Canada. We need all out of Mexico. Oil and gas expert Jay Young says Keystone was designed to carry crude from Alberta to Nebraska. Trump paused 50% tariffs on some Canadian imports while the deal is finalized. There's a mass psychosis event that's been happening outside of the Plymouth Superior Court in Massachusetts this week. Hundreds of women gathering together. to support and to cheer on Lindsay Clancy, the mother who murdered her three young children with her bare hands. All right, not just with their bare hands. She used exercise bands to then with her bare hands, wrap them around the necks, and strangle to death her five-year-old, her three-year-old, and her eight-month-old. She doesn't deny it. She admits she did it. She said she was hearing voices. She said some say she had postpartum psychosis. And the women outside the courthouse, some of them holding their own babies while cheering for Clancy. Chearing somebody who is a triple murderer. She does not deny it herself. It is one of the most bizarre things anybody has ever seen before. It is one thing to say, wow, postpartum can really be bad. But boy, she murdered her kids. That's not the answer to postpartum depression. They're basically saying, most of these women are saying, we care more about the life of Lindsay Clancy than we do about the three children that she killed, her own children. Again, it's a very bizarre thing. And I just want to kind of ask a simple question here for you to think about when you consider this case. Has anybody ever heard of PTSD? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's part of our culture or part of our vernacular. We know what it means. Post-traumatic stress disorder. Do you know how many men come home from war or police officers, those first responders, people who see and experience traumatic things, and they literally form a bit of a psychosis themselves called PTSD in people. Can you imagine somebody coming home from war with PTSD and being so psychologically traumatized that he decided to kill his children? And can you imagine hundreds of men lining a street? outside the courtroom as he drives by every day, going to and from court, making heart signs with their hands for him, supporting him, telling him, we got you, bro, we got you. That PTSD is tough. We care more about you than we do about the dead kids.

I'm going to go ahead and kind of answer that for you and assume that no, no one can imagine such a scenario. No one would ever forgive a dad for killing his kids because he was psychologically traumatized. Yet here we are watching hundreds of women in person and according to the internet, maybe millions of women online supporting Lindsay Clancy who murdered her three children. We appreciate the time today. Let's talk first about the tariffs, and then I want to spend the most of our time on Keystone XL. What do you think the reason that President Trump is suddenly striking this deal with Canada is, and do you think the tariffs will be after the three days be eliminated or imposed? Yeah, you're right, Bob. I mean, he's trying to play nice right now. He's trying to play the political game.

prices down, people happy. He wants Republicans in office. He doesn't want Democrats. The more Democrats, and if they take majority, I mean, he's going to be looking at impeachment. He doesn't want to deal with that, obviously, for his last two terms as president. So I think he's just trying to, you know, do whatever he can to, you know, like I said, play nice right now and play ball with them, so they'll come back around and maybe. start the Keystone Pipeline on their side so he can he can work this side and and we can come to some agreement because it is a it is long term of very good uh it's very good for for both countries Yeah, no question about it. And with the energy costs, you know, worldwide up because of what's going on and Iran and the Strait of Hormuz and so forth, if he can just give people something to look forward to, and that is the, you know, expansion of the oil pipelines here in the states could really, really help. That might help in the midterms. He's kind of said, I don't care about the midterms. I'm dealing with national security stuff, but he does care about the midterms, and I think that's a good analysis. Let's talk about what it would take, though, to get the Keystone XL started again, because before it really only took a president. decision. And now it is not as simple as that since Biden revoked the presidential permit because of economic and what he called in 2021 climate considerations. It's not just as simple as a president saying I'm restoring that presidential permit. What do you know? Exactly. Yeah, it's not going to be easy. It's got to be on both sides. But it is, it's a lot better for everybody to do that. But he's just, I mean, like I said, he's trying to play the political game right now and trying to get that, trying to get the ball rolling. Even if... Even if he doesn't get it done during his presidency, at least he's doing his best and he's doing something that he feels is in the best interests of both countries to get it done. And just to kind of, like I said, not necessarily, may not be done, but it may just get started or at least he wants everybody to see that he. Feels like it's a good idea. It's the best thing for long-term oil prices and gasoline prices. He wants to, you know, get that ball rolling for everybody. Yeah, you know, and what are the opponents saying about this? Jay, can you speak to that? Because everything you've said is common sense. And more energy is better than less energy. And yes, oil still is, no matter how much the climate alarmist don't want to acknowledge it. It is the lifeblood of the economy. So what are the opponents saying about reviving this? And why would they what? Why would they try to stop it?

Yeah, that's a good question. Obama, a lot of reasons. I mean, my opinion is Obama wasn't looking at demand for oil, and he wasn't thinking about what do we do in this country for oil, just like Biden, you know, saying, you know, he stopped every permit, you know, offshore permits. There was so much. so much against oil that it went against him because prices went up and prices will continue to go up if we don't do something about the flow of oil through um you know around the world and we've seen that with the straight and i don't think we're anywhere close to where we should i think oil prices should be over a hundred dollars a barrel if not a lot more than that right now i don't see how this disruption has really caused prices to say, I think it was up a little bit this morning or $86 a barrel. It should be a lot higher. I was wondering the same thing. I'm sorry, can you expand upon that? Why do you think that is? Because I think you're right. Everything that we're seeing are happening right now with the straight and what's going on worldwide. I'm shocked that the prices aren't over, you know, per barrel is over 100 and the gas is a five, six bucks a gallon now. Yeah, me too. And the reason why is because we've had such a disruption around the world. I mean, Ukraine was back at it yesterday. And I mean, it's like everything is just, you know, it's so. unproductive or, you know, you've got to produce 100 million barrels a day around the world. You have to get that oil flowing from one part to the other and any disruption anywhere around the world. And there's 20% this trade of removes. I mean, you know, Trump has talked about, we're just going to knock out the whole. you know, the whole straight. And, you know, he's looking at the Red Sea and looking at other places. And when you, when you have that disruption and you have refineries that have been hit with drones, missiles, and you've seen production in the Persian Gulf that has been either shut in or, you know, damaged by production, I don't see how production is this high right now. And I don't see how we have that flow of oil. necessary to keep prices at, I mean, $80 a barrel is a lot. But I was predicting back on your program in December, January, that oil prices were going to go up anyway because oil price or rick counts coming down and oil was at $55 a barrel. And I thought, well, hey, if rick counts, and it cycles, right? People ask me, what's the price of oil going to do? And I said, man, it's going to go up and down. It's just, it's not going to, I can't tell you exactly what it's going to do, but I do know one thing. It's going to go up and down. There's going to be cycles in this industry. You just have to hit it at the right time. If you're investing in it, you have to just be ready for it because prices will go to $3. And I think it was at, yeah, it was like $1.90 or something up in Oklahoma and was below $2 in seven or eight states last year in December. You know, you just know that.

Everybody's not going to drill. Everybody stopped drilling. And when people stop drilling for oil in the United States, that cuts. That cuss our supply. When it cuts our supply and our demand is high and it continues. Demand. And it's going to continue to be that way. I apologize, Jay, I got to jump in. We're a little bit late here. But great information and I appreciate that very much. Hopefully the restoration or at least the revival of the idea of the Keystone might impact futures a little bit and get those numbers down a little bit. Jay Young, we appreciate it very much. She declared after Judge Roach was recused from the trial, or I should say from the post-trial appellate proceedings, quote, All of the racist acts that took place under Judge Roach, from them not letting people come into the courthouse when it's supposed to be a public hearing, from them not giving the jury instructions on self-defense, so Carmelo would never have got a case in the first place, he would have had, the jury would have had the option of manslaughter from the racism. I'm just reading it word for word. As it's quoted, you can take it as you wish. But she was responding again to the decision by the visiting judge, Sid Harrell, to remove Judge Roach from the post-trial proceedings. What she did not comment upon, however, which is very, very interesting. is the information released by the prosecution now after the fact, things that they were not allowed to present during the trial, including information about Carmelo Anthony, stalking his ex-girlfriend literally on the day of the murder, and also his fascination with knives and his plans to stab someone and lick the blood from the blade. This wasn't secondhand hearsay evidence. These were text messages. Prosecutors described them now that the trial is over. Text messages in which Anthony actually wrote, he was, quote, on the verge, end quote, and fantasizing about stabbing someone and licking the blood from the blade. That's pretty good way to look at it. Bob France sitting in for Jimmy once again. So the Iranians, they don't look like they're ready for a deal. They don't look like they're ready for a deal of any kind. They are now strengthening their ties with Russia and China to try to survive U.S. economic pressure. The president has basically declared an economic Armageddon on the Iranians. So they're leaning into their long-held allies. What does this mean going forward? Harry Kazianis with 1945.com here to help us figure it out. Harry, good morning. Good morning. All right. We appreciate you being with us. So what is, you know, President Trump has shifted this from being a kinetic attack to an economic attack, that there is more of a chance it would appear for them to buckle if they literally have no money. And I don't know if that's necessarily the right answer, but it's the president's plan for now. What is your take? Look, I think it's the smartest approach. I think we've thrown everything but the kitchen sink militarily at Iran besides nuclear weapons. I think we've degraded their arsenals and military stockpiles as much as we possibly can. So I think it's smart for the president to shift to sort of economic warfare. We have a blockade out there that's being enforced by the U.S. Navy that's doing great harm to their economy. You know, the inflation in Iran. You think it's bad here. depending on where in iran you live it's something like over a hundred percent annually uh you know their currency is crashing they have major economic problems but of course Iran has been through this before, so they can endure the pain. So this is why they're showing going hand to China and Russia to get as much economic relief as they possibly can. The challenge is, does Iran want to become a vassal of China and Russia? I mean, that would be the price for doing such a thing. So the Iranians, I think, over the long term, are going to come to the table, but there's going to be a waiting game here. And the president is going to have to decide whether, you know, he can pay the political price for that because... As we know, people are not happy about high gas prices and economic pain at home. You know, it's a really good point. And a follow-up, though, is about their military... abilities being destroyed. They still control the strait. I'm trying to figure that part out, by the way. They don't have a Navy. They don't have an Air Force anymore, but they still control the straight. And the second part of our story today, in addition to the economic pressure and then looking to Iran or excuse me to Russia and China for assistance is they are threatening to attack U.S. military targets in Europe, specifically in Bulgaria. So again, for a country whose military capabilities have been degraded as much as they have, they are still making an awful lot of noise. with war drums. You know, this is the thing. This is where geography is Iran's ultimate weapon, not necessarily, you know, bombers or fighters or traditional things that we think of, of military power. Because of that proximity of Iran to the straight, it takes...

very little military capability to do damage, you know, to undermine shipping, damage the global economy. But I would point people to a recent Axios piece that came out that says something very interesting, that the United States has basically been stealthily helping ships come out of Hormuz and that there's been some days when we've gotten at 50 million barrels of oil out of Hormuz. Keep in mind that the amount of oil that came out before all this happened was 20 million barrels. Then when you factor in the other five to six million that come out of the Red Sea from a pipeline Saudi Arabia is used for years, you've basically made up the amount of oil that was coming out of the street of Hormuz. So there are some days that we were actually pulling out pre-war levels of oil. Of course, that's just some days. It's not every single day. The Iranians can still sling missiles at those ships. But something else happened that's very important that people are missing. It seems like the administration, a couple weeks ago, if you recall, when we went on a sort of a war footing for about a week, we degraded all of the radar systems, all of the missiles, all of the drone sites that are around the Strait of Hormuz. So we've greatly limited their capability to, quote, unquote, control the strait. I know that's the media narrative, and I've used that narrative. But I think that's changed the last couple weeks. And I think the administration has been very careful to not really let that out until recently until they were sure that they had that in the bag, if you will. So I think the situation's changed a little bit better for the administration, for the United States. But again, we're going to have to watch us over the long term. And that's where the China and Russia threat really comes into play here, because they can easily rearm the Iranians, give them the systems that they need to try and reassert control. And we'd have to go and take them out again. That is a huge part of all of this. I'm so glad to hear you say that part. Harry Kazianis is our guest, 1945.com. To the point about getting 50 million barrels on certain days and so forth through the straight and almost making up for everything. Why is it do you think we're still at 410, 425, 450, depending on what part of the country you're in per gallon? Oil is actually trading it around $80 a barrel. I just had another analyst on a few minutes ago who said it should be over 100 based on the way things are going internationally right now. What is your take on? on, you know, the oil price and the gas prices at the moment. You know, I'm going to say something a lot of people aren't going to like, and I don't like it either. Considering that the war that we've been in, how long it's going on, the amount of oil we pulled out of the strategic petroleum reserve. Fundamentally, the gas price isn't that bad when you factor all that in. Now, I'm not trying to dispel any of the economic pain we're going through. I'm not trying to make light of it at all. It's terrible. $4.10 for gas stinks. But again, considering what the president's trying to do, considering the goals that the administration has put out there, even though they've shifted a lot, what we're paying for what we've gotten back. isn't the end of the world. Again, not good. I don't want to make light of it, but it's not bad. I would also say that I think the media has gotten it wrong when it comes to how much oil has come out of the straight. I think it's been a lot more over the last couple months because to be frank, if you do the math,

Every analyst that I've talked to, even my own work, we should be completely out of our strategic petroleum reserve by now. The world should be an economic depression. We should be at $150 barrel oil, maybe even more. So I think that the U.S. Navy has played a key role here. We've got to tip their hat to them that they've been pulling a lot more oil out of the strait than we realize. But if there's any good news out of this, I would say this. Then over the long term, we can keep sneaking that oil out. The Saudis can keep pumping more oil out of their pipeline. in the Red Sea. And I think over the next one to two years, again, not immediate, pipelines are going to be built that are going to go around the Strait of Hormuz. So Iran right now might be feeling a little powerful, thinking that they've got sort of, you know, one over us and one over the world economy. But in the long term, that those 15 to 20 million barrels that are coming out of the Strait of Hormuz, over the long term, are not going to happen again. As the years go by, that... power that they have over the street is going to diminish. Plus, we can already see people are going to Venezuela, coming to us, going to other countries to buy oil. So Iran should be careful here. That power that they have in the street is going to diminish. Yeah, Venezuela is a very big key here. The first one, Abdul El-Sayed, the radical socialist from Michigan, who just won his party's nomination and is running against Mike Rogers for a seat that could end up deciding the majority in the United States Senate. So in the August 4th primary... He may have won, but he lost big with black voters in Michigan. He lost all of Metro Detroit. Haley Stevens won there by 46 points among black voters. So he's trying to figure out what can I do in order to try to, you know, I'm going to have to win them if I'm going to win this entire race against Mike Rogers. And so he decided to say he's black. All right, not black. Specifically, he said he's African. That's the latest. I don't even know what you want to call it. Pander, I guess it's the latest pander. He's telling black Michiganders, you should support me because I'm like you. I am also African. I wish I was making that up. Quote, you know, there's been an effort, I think, to divide people against each other. And unfortunately, you see the consequence of that to tell us that some group or another has to be counter-opposed because there's not enough for all of us. He said, I'm Arab, but I'm also African. My family immigrated to this country from Egypt, and I'm proud of my African heritage. Holy goodness. And while, yeah, Egypt is on the continent of Africa, there's nothing African, as we understand Africa, about Egypt. Nothing. But he is so desperate, and so his ideas are so unpopular with African-American voters in Michigan. He has decided to play the game of, look at me, I'm just like you. This is... This smacks in some ways of what Gavin Newsom once tried in one of his interviews and saying, look at me. I'm just like you. I failed. I didn't fail. I got a 920 on the SAT, too. I'm dumb just like you. I can't even read. I'm illiterate just like you. He said that to a largely black audience. Just the pandering is the worst. But that's the only half of the story. The other half is to go down to Florida. Let's take a look at what's happening there where Democratic Socialists of America DSA, which I have renamed the SDA because socialist Democrats mean it's a lot more direct and a lot more accurate than democratic socialism. So the SDA, Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon, won the primary over Alexander Vindman. And she immediately decided, by the way, if and when I get to the halls of the Senate. I'm going to never work with the Republicans across the aisle because they're trying to kill us. That's one of the more direct attacks, slanderous statements I think that we have heard in modern politics, not just, you know, I disagree with them or they're this or that or the other thing. They're literally, I'm going to read it. Quote, folks often say, oh, are you able to work across the aisle with the Republicans?

Well, they are not trying to work across the aisle. They are literally trying to kill us, and they're doing it on camera and not being held accountable, end quote. She said that all of this, of course, falsely claiming that ICE is acting as a, quote, weaponized paramilitary force, end quote. She said, like actually state sanctioned violence, they've been doing it in the black community, and they're doing it even more so now with ICE. ICE is now a weaponized paramilitary force that is designed to terrorize. I just have to ask directly, where do these people come up with these candidates? Absolute lunatics. People with whom no one can really honestly resonate, but this is what they want to do. And if that's the brand that they want to put out there as they run for control of the Senate, I say more power to you. Minnesota once an ice agent extradited over a non-fatal shooting that happened in January. Meantime, more violent crime involving an illegal alien, a Salvadoran man, Alexis Antonio Sedios Campos, charged in the death of a Virginia mother this week. Every single death that is occurred by an illegal that was released into this country underneath a Biden administration. Every one of those is 100% preventable. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Fox. Earlier this week, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick threatened legal action against Texas schools that continue to place explicit books on their library shelves. Analysts say the strategy might work. Now 705 prosecutors unveiled bombshell evidence in never before released texts during Carmelo Anthony's first trial. Arras County Treasurer Carla White says her salary should be doubled to more than $300,000 a year. A committee yesterday instead recommended a 30% raise. So she probably gets 181,000. Federal lawsuit has been filed alleging that damage estimates from Hurricane Beryl were secretly reduced to save an insurance company millions. Attorney Sean Hodge is representing three Galveston homeowners. In one claim, the estimate from the filter gesture was just under $91,000, and then the alterations were made, and it reduced it down to just under $31,000. And that's why they are suing the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. And the flow and the scheme was the same for all three homeowners. So we suspect it's a much larger scale problem. The judge in the Carmelo Anthony trial. has been recused from the post-trial proceedings, including the appeals that are being filed by Carmelo Anthony to get out of prison. He has been sentenced to 35 years for the cold-blooded murder of Austin Metcalf. And some more of the information, it is mind-boggling to me how this didn't make its way into the actual trial. Prosecutors are now basically revealing so much more about what they know about Carmelo-Anthony as the self-defense. argument that has been made by his supporters falls apart completely when you learn about this. Carmelo Anthony sent text messages to his girlfriend fantasizing about stabbing someone and licking the blood off of the knife.

All right. The morning of the stabbing, he sent a message to his girlfriend. And again, this isn't hearsay testimony. These are direct text messages. He sent a message to her saying that he was on the verge, quote, I am low key on the verge. And then again, he also had that history of, quote, when I stab someone, I'm going to lick the blood off of the knife. This wasn't allowed in the trial for whatever reason. And those who feel as though Carmelo Anthony didn't get a fair trial, I wonder what they would say when they find out that had that been allowed to be admitted into evidence, those text messages, how would that have looked to a jury? Any reasonable jury, whether it was a black or white or Hispanic or Asian or any other ethnicity of juror, how does that not indicate intent? That is exactly what it does. And yet they are still trying to claim that he is being held. unjustly for the murder of Austin Metcalf claiming that it was done in self-defense. And we're going to talk with Jared Woodfield, conservative Republicans of Texas, hopefully in just a couple of moments here after we check our traffic in our weather. But yeah, let me give you some numbers. James Talarico has spent over $25 million on television advertising since the general election began in late May, nearly 10.7 million deployed on broadcast, an initial 8.4 million on streaming devices. Anywhere you go, if you're going to turn on television, you're going to see him. The Ken Paxton campaign over that same period has spent $119,000, nearly all of it on digital advertising. So basically, James Talarico has the airwaves to himself. Texas Tribune kind of covering the numbers here. We're going to find out what that means. This is going to be a massive lake push for Ken Paxton, or is the funding just not going to be there? And they're going to go on name recognition. We don't know. I was just running through some of the numbers that were highlighted in the Texas Tribune article about the spending. James Talarico is all over television and you cannot find Ken Paxton if you're looking for him, at least in that regard. What gives? Is it a funding issue or is it a strategic decision? Well, we need to put it all in perspective. We got Ken Paxton who has spent $9 million. As you recall, there was a brutal primary between he and John Cornyn. So Ken Paxton is someone who already has the name ID. This is an individual who has won multiple terms as Attorney General, State Senator, a state rep. So it's not a question of name ID. On the other hand, you have James Talarico who nobody knows. And as they begin to learn more about him, they run from him. I mean, this is an individual who says that God is non-binary. He's individual who doesn't know how many sexes there are. Individual wants to defund ICE, among other things, they're out of step with the voters in the state of Texas. So what he's doing now is spending a whole lot of money in an effort to deceive people into believing that he's somebody that he's not. I think ultimately we're going to see folks from Washington and around the country, poor money into this race, if they get concerned. that it's close so most folks don't turn on their political radar until after labor day i think that's probably where you're going to see most of the money being spent by Ken Paxton yeah it's a really great point you make about you know who James Talarico is and what he has said everybody knows it's very well chronicled some of the really really radical things that he has said and stood for but The polls show that it's a very close race right now. I don't know what stock you put in those, particularly when we look at what happened in the Senate primaries up in Michigan, the one in Wisconsin. You know, we had people with 15-point leads who barely won or barely lost by a point or two. So what do you make of, despite Ken Paxton's name recognition, obviously a great point. James Talarico's radical things that he has said certainly highlighted, yet the race is very, very close according to the polls. What do you make of that? Well, we know that polls are inherently unreliable. I mean, look at the polling that we saw with respect to President Trump. And so that doesn't concern me at all because we know that Texas is a Republican state. I mean, we haven't elected a Democrat to statewide office since the early 90s. And so I don't put much stock in those polls, especially at this early juncture. I mean, we haven't even hit Labor Day right now.

And even the polling that we're seeing right now, we see Ken Paxton starting to take the lead over time. So that doesn't concern me. What does concern me most of all is that, look, we had a brutal primary. We had folks on the other side who need to come back into the fold. We need to lock arms as a unified Republican Party to make sure that the ticket is successful from the top, which includes Ken Paxton all the way down to the bottom, which is our local judicial races. And that happens. I mean, when you have a tough primary between two individuals and a lot of money spent, a lot of feelings hurt, it takes some time to heal and bring folks together. John Whitmire, who is a former advisor to Governor Greg Abbott, said we're about three months out from Election Day, so it's important for Republicans to combat this Democrat aggression that they do start to spend and start to define James Talarico for the crazy liberal he is. He also said, as quoted in the article, I do think Ken Paxton needs to define James Talarico, and he needs to do it soon. So you're kind of talking about, hey, it's not even Labor Day yet, some others who are, you know, involved in the game are saying it's not too too too early to get this thing going Well, I would agree with that. It's never too early. I agree. But we have to consider the resources that are available to General Paxson at the time. As we know, he spent $9 million already. That is a whole lot of money to spend when you're not an incumbent running for a Senate seat. So it was a brutal primary. So we've gotten through that. And so now the point is we need to get the money here into General Paxon's campaign coffers to make sure he's successful. And yes, I believe he needs to be aggressive. He needs to attack. He needs to expose James Talarico who... for who he is because what James Talarico is doing is spending all his money in an effort to deceive voters into believing that he's somebody he's not. He is running from his radical leftist record that's completely consistent with DSA members, Democratic Socialist members from across the country. And we need to expose that. General Spackson needs to expose that. The folks that are listening to your radio station right now need to work to expose that because ultimately we cannot allow James Talarico to have a Senate seat from the state of Texas. No question about that. And I'm pretty confident in Texas voters too. You know, Democrats don't win in Texas. But boy, boy, this would be one, one horrific situation if this particular one did. Act blue, which is the cash cow for Democrats. In the 2024 cycle alone, the SuperPack Act Blue processed nearly $4 billion in donations for Democrats. The sources of those funds have long been suspect, and now they're coming under growing scrutiny. Act Blue co-founder Matt DeBargallis pleaded the fifth during his closed-door deposition before three key House committees, according to sources familiar with the matter. Talking to Fox. The Committee on House Administration, House Oversight, and House Judiciary are conducting a joint investigation into Act Blue, the massive fundraising platform for Democrats over allegations that lax fraud prevention standards may have allowed foreign donations to seep into U.S. campaigns. Gee, what a shocking development that would be. Can you imagine the Democrat Party that likes to bring foreigners into the United States without legally being permitted to do so, are bringing foreign dollars into the United States to help them win elections? Let's see, import foreign voters and import foreign dollars to influence said votes. So final story here, sports-wise, you know, and again, we just had a little bit of fun with the fact that the Astros gave up 18 on the night that the Texans gave up 22 and lost. But a little bit of a different sports story to wrap it up this morning. So in the WNBA game yesterday or before the WNBA game yesterday. The rally was held outside the American Airlines arena, and they were there to support Sophie Cunningham. More specifically, they were there to support men staying out of women's sports and out of women's locker rooms and so forth and shower rooms and all the rest. All of this stirring back, or stirring from, rather, in July, a profile published by ESPN, somebody decided to ask her about the idea of transgender playing in the WNBA. And she said, quote, I'm here to extend love, but I also think that love is truth, being honest, and I want to protect young girls in a locker room or young girls in sports who shouldn't have to go against biological men. All that was was a simple and honest answer, and it started the firestorm. Now the WNBA has been targeting her, and they actually held a meeting last week. They held a meeting owners and administrators and the commissioner to try to determine what's a woman.

Because we are the WNBA and the W stands for Women's Basketball Association. So what are we going to do? Women's National Basketball Association. So what are we going to do? How are we going to define women is going to be biological? Or can somebody who identifies as being a woman be allowed to play in our sport? Well, considering the LGBTQ slash queer nature of the league, which is dominated by gay women, lesbian women, they're all leaning toward acknowledging the... The, if you are, if you say you're a woman, if you feel like you're a woman, then you're a woman. And it has led to just this massive story. And now, by the way, they came out of that meeting trying to decide what a woman was by saying, here's what we've decided. We've decided we needed another meeting. They don't know. They don't know what to do about this anyway. Sophie Cunningham was asked earlier this week, before the game in Dallas, asked earlier this week, what do you think should happen here? And she basically said, yeah, I probably think that the league needs new leadership. Kathy Engelbert is the... commissioner of the league and she has no earthly idea what she is doing. They're targeting two of the most popular players rather than featuring them and essentially driving fans that came to the sport for the very first time because of people like Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham and trying to turn them away from the turnstiles and away from the television screen so they can go back to losing more money than they ever have before. All I would say is this in closing. Thank you, Sophie Cunningham, for having the courage to say what needs to be said. And WNBA, if you have an ounce of hope to keep your league relevant in any way, shape, or form, leave her alone. Leave her alone. Make sure that it's women and women only and stop catering to the LGBTQ narrative. You would be doing yourself a huge favor.
