FOX News Brian Kilmeade Joins The Show

We continue with you, 703 here on News Radio, WRVA. It's Monday, which means we get a chance to catch over the Brian Kilmeade. His show comes up immediately following our radio program. Brian, good morning. Good morning, too, Rich. Thank you so much for joining us. I got two questions. I wanted to ask you. One about the MAU and one about Elvis Presley. Let's start with the MAU. It expires. It's over. We're back to square one. What do you see? I see that Best is going to put together some unprecedented sanctions. I know he's not just bloviating because I know him. And I also understand we've got some indications. I'll go over during the show of what it could be. Number two is I think we're going back to military action. It's just a matter of time. Don't buy into the fact that people say we're out of munitions. I mean, look, I've never seen anything like it. You actually have most of the media cheering against... the country. And if you want to see evidence of it, look at Martha Raddits, who really, I give her credit for going into war zones and she understands the military, but she just despises Trump. She tries to get Admiral Mullins to talk about the USS Abraham Lincoln and the conditions. And Admiral Mullins, of course he doesn't like Trump. No traditional people do, but he said, I did my homework. And I called the USS Abraham Lincoln, talk to the commander, talk to the chairman and joint chiefs and staff, and also talk to the Southern Command, Admiral Cooper. And they were deployed, but they always got their employees. Everybody gets their deployment extended. Everybody knows that in the Navy. It's happened for over the last 25 years because we've been pretty consistently at war. And he said, look, there are some conditions there, but there have been longer deployments than that. And the big thing that was a change. They said, well, if they had better planning, would they? And he said, no, listen. Nobody really knew that Bahrain and Kuwait bases were not going to be a place where you could have a safe port call. And because of that, looking out for the safety of the Abraham Lincoln, the other carriers, they said, we're not going to go into Kuwait and Bahrain and take a breather because we don't know if some of these drones are going to get through. And I want to make sure our guys are safe, so they stayed on the ship. Okay. That's the story. And listen, I never served in the Navy. But I also know that that's what they get trained for. And there were things that are so unpredictable about war. Have anyone seen a minute of the history channel? Has anyone watched one war movie, whether it's depicted in the movie screen? Everything is unscripted. Nothing goes according to plan. Some things are easier. Most things are harder. So we have a 47-year, a 47-year enemy. For the first time, we're taking them on directly. There were things that we expected that went better and the things that we went worse. And sometimes, the USS Abraham Lincoln and other carriers have to stay deployed a little bit longer, go from Venezuela, right over to the Mediterranean. That's the way it happened. I don't really think it's time to cheer against this administration. You see the devastation they've hit, you see 80 of their leaders killed, and Iran holds on and people are like, look, Iran's winning. They're rocketing the bases. That's not good. Our Gulf allies are worried. That's not good. But we are doing tremendous damage to them, and we are poised with more firepower to do additional damage. It would be nice if people are actually rooting for the good guys to be successful.

Instead of just trying to say for the midterms, let's keep saying that President Trump doesn't know what he's doing, and it's too old. Brian Kilmeade, joining us here on News Radio, WRVA. Brian, I look for the little tells. I look for the scouting report on this story. Like you said, Martha Radd's. I'm going to call out Jake Tapper, though. He put on someone who was claiming to be a sailor's wife and was talking about what was going on on the ship. Number one, operational security. I learned this for my son, and he's not even active duty yet. Parents, friends, family, do not talk about where your sons or daughters are. You put them in harm's way because... Our adversaries will look through our social media channels. And if you go out on national television, you were doing a disservice to everyone on that ship. Number two, some of the photos that you've seen online, Brian, people point out this weekend, there are not cinderblock walls inside these mess halls or the galleys where these sailors are eating. So a lot of this is just flat out lies. I'm wondering where they're coming from. Third one, one of the complaints was, well, there's no fresh food. All right, my son Rigney told me this when he traveled, he was on a ship that went to Africa. Yeah, we have fresh food for about two weeks. It runs out. Then you have frozen food through the rest of your trip. That's kind of natural when you have it out there. But you're right. There are people that are actually rooting against the U.S. Navy, and you really see this in a story that one person says something. Yeah, there are some people that are going to be stressed out, Brian. They're in the middle of a shooting war. Of course there's going to be some mental health, anxiety, and stress when you're in something like that. Honkow is the temporary secretary of the Navy who, well, I know, he says, as impressive as anybody that I've interviewed. And, you know, he went out there and he had a town hall with some of the families. And the families saying, you know, our guys are, you know, the people are really anxiety ridden. It's been a, okay, that's great. Number one, thank you the families for speaking up for their loved ones. Number two, thank you for the Navy for listening. and then taking action. And then they landed some people on aircraft carriers and they started interviewing people. And I am sure if you get 9,000 people on an aircraft carrier, I am sure day one people are upset. I'm sure there's people that will go there and you can put them up for 18 months and it won't bother, you know, and never complain. So I just think that there's reporting and there's advocating. And you just have a guy that says, I'm going to take on our adversary. They wish that he would be speaking more about it and brief people more about it in detail. The president chooses not to do that. He does not want war to dominate the conversation. So that's a tactic. It isn't laziness. Number two is he said his objective multiple times. To make sure they have a nuclear weapon, to make sure the proxies aren't supplied, and also to make sure the proxy aren't supplied, and also make sure the third thing that's most important is stop the manufacturing of ballistic missiles. You have to limit them. That's one thing, one of the many things that wasn't in Obama's plan. They were going to build a nuclear, they were going to build a nuclear weapon and have an umbrella of ballistic missiles.
