Now, there is still a lot of back and forth going on in Indianapolis because of the override of the wheel tax. Because what Mayor Hogg said is saying, can't believe he's a voice of reason on this. Nah, no way. is that I prepared a budget and showed a budget, what was it, $1.7 billion, that shows us having this money without a wheel tax, and now you've added the wheel tax. So you've got to wonder why they did it. Right? You had to have the cities because of some changing of funding mechanisms from the state. The cities had to show they had a certain amount of dollars so they could get access to a certain amount of matching dollars from the state. How could they do this? Well, they increased taxes. What a shock. Excellent work, everybody. Joe Hogsett's plan was we don't have to.

raise taxes. We could do this, this, this, this and this. They could have done cuts. They could have done maneuvering, all sorts of things. They didn't. He vetoed it when the city county council put it out there. City County Council does the override. So now did they put more money to the roads and now they're going to get more matching funds? And why was it cheered? Which is one of the real questions. Why in the world did people cheer this taking place? It's a very peculiar thing to hear people cheering themselves being taxed. I mean, it's almost as pathetic. No way, it's more, it's just slightly more pathetic. There you go. Then the people who cheer things like data center moratoriums. Instead of saying how can we engage smart growth, they say no growth whatsoever. That's always a winning position, said no one ever. Did this change, this maneuver now mean they're going to double up? Do we now have a, do you see a change in Joe Hogsett's budget? Are Hoosiers in Marion County in Indianapolis now going to be on the hook for more? And when they don't see a result, when they don't see the potholes there with pothole Joe, when they don't see a result, will they react by voting in a different direction? Or is that guy going to get a fourth term? Because what the Indianapolis City County Council just did for him is they made him look like the moderate rational one. Who's there for the people? Did I or did I not say he's the voice of reason? I don't think so. Allow me to play a bit of 40 chess. Allow me to get into the place of full-on conspiracy. This was the setup maneuver for running for reelection. This is it. This is exactly where this is at. They're going to vote for this guy for a fourth term. They vote to increase their taxes. They vote for a guy who can't keep them safe who has alleged and credibly accused sexual abusers in his office, never mind the sexual propriety of Joe Hogsett. And they're going to vote for him for a fourth term. Thank goodness. We have strong civic leaders in Indianapolis who are going to stand up to this and say, we can do better. Oh, we don't?
