It's so dangerous to live that more dangerous than a B minus or a C plus life because when you're living a B or B plus life, you don't change it. You think it's good enough. Is it? I'm Susie Welch. I host a podcast called Becoming You. People think, okay, an A plus life is not available to me, but there is a way. We are all in the process of becoming ourselves. Listen to becoming you wherever you get your podcasts. All right, everybody. Let's go. As always, we need your text. You get to chime in. What do you have that's overrated? What do you have that's underrated? What do you have that's properly rated in the Tubbs text line? 651-461-9-226. Susie, dead to me. Dave Harrigan, dead to me. Gracie and Tubsey here. Gracie, had you ever heard of this segment until 1141? You know, I have to admit, right about now is normally my nap time because that early morning start. So, so I know I'm, this is my first time. Wow. Overrated. Gracie Stockton says the overrated, underrated, properly rated segment. Now you're in. Can we ask you a couple questions? Absolutely. Yeah. Okay. Biggest change from NPR to here is? The pace. The pace? Which is fun. Much quicker pace and just really good personalities and people. So I'm having a blast so far. I'm taking over on Wednesday in the mornings. Okay. Are you up to speed on the technical side? I think so as of about today. I feel pretty comfortable. Good. Yeah. Can you explain to me how Adam Carter has a job? I'm going to give the old Plead the Fifth. Yeah, you don't understand either. No. Topsy, do you understand how Adam Carter has a job? Is there some blackmail? Or, I mean, it makes no sense. Have you listened to him? I try not to. Yeah. But he's there. It's like a fungus. I know. For some reason, 9 o'clock every day, it's like the same thing. Yeah. It's like Groundhog Day. I heard Jordana's head on vacation. Maybe they should have a moment of silence for three hours, you know.
All right. Can they re-rack the best of Jordana for three hours every single day? Edit out. You know who. All right, Gracie. What do you have? Let's go your debut with overrated, underrated, properly rate. Underrated, cash only bars. Cash only bars. Okay. Do explain why. Often a little bit cheaper. We love supporting local. There is a good little locust spot over in East St. Paul. My boyfriend and I were there yesterday for a little bit playing pool. Two dollar pool is great. A four or five dollar beer. It's nice. They're just good folks. But I think it's underrated. Okay. Do you believe because they don't deal with the credit card fees and all that, they can just make the prices a little bit lower? Exactly. I grew up in a small business, too, and that's definitely one of the things that affects your bottom line is those three plus percent. Absolutely. that can fall back on you as the consumer, which makes sense with a small business. So cash only, I feel like it ends up being good for most people. Okay. Are the signs fairly prominent letting people know? Yes. And I think that is one of the biggest problems when you don't know. That's it. Absolutely. I definitely miss the sign the first time I went to the gopher bar over in downtown. But at least they have an ATM on site. So if they're cash only, they got to have an ATM. That's it. Because we have both them. We have places that are no cash. Right. You know? Well, it's like, who really carries a lot of cash nowadays? So I think I've gotten to the point where I don't even carry a lot of cash. So if I see cash only, I'm like, well, I'm pretty much, well, I'm pretty much so well. Well, that's it. And with Venmo and all the other options. Okay, what kind of pool player are you? Learning. Learning. I'm learning. Okay. My mom was a pool shark kind of back in the day in college. So it's about time for me to pick up that scale. Oh, so she would try to take advantage of people. She didn't have to buy drinks. Let's say that. That's very good. Yeah. Is your guy pretty good? Yes. Yes, he is. I've never tubsy really much. I'm ping pong. I think you're either one or the other. I'm team ping pong, but I've had a ping pong table in the garage for a long, a long time. How often do you use it? I was going to say, how much work does it get? never to the point where we needed some room and I just donated it. The idea was, well, we'd maybe we'd bring it inside or we'd play in the driveway. Should have brought it in here. We got room. We'll move that table. Well, how about upstairs? That area around the corner. Yeah, how was I going to get the – should I just tidy it to the back of the car? Driving down, 394 with a ping pong table. Put it on the top. Put your hazards on, and you just got this big ping pong. I think it works. Quinty, hold on to the ping pong table. See what you can do. It works for Clark Jena Griswold. It can work for you. Yeah. Oh, don't even go there.
Don't even go there. No? Chevy Chase, the most overrated entertainer and human being on planet Earth. Never funny. Never likable. Gracie, what do you thoughts on that? That's a hot take. That is a hot take. Yeah, I'm curious what the text line is going to say about that one. Lowlsome individual, but I like him as Clark Jena Griswold, but I've heard nothing but bad things about him as an individual and how he interacts with people. All right, Gracie, what do you have next? Thrifted jeans. Thrifted jeans. Which category of thrifted jeans in? I think. I think also properly rated. Properly rated. I would say properly rated. I mean, you get what you pay for. Yep. Which in my case, I'm wearing a pair of thrifted jeans right now. And they're good quality, but they're a little short on me. So unintentional caprice. Yeah. But definitely. But hey, it's hot outside. So that works for me. A little scandalous showing of the ankles. But that's just fine. Oh, no. No. But what's happening? You know, nine bucks for a pair of Levi's. Well, that's the thing. Okay. There are many people in my life. who are skilled thrifters. Even if they don't come home with something, they enjoy the process. They love it. They like tracking down deals. They'll go with friends. They'll go solo. So what is your thrifting approach? Going with a little bit of a plan, have something in mind, like a goal. You want to find that prize. And maybe if you don't find that prize, that's okay. It's something to look forward to next time. But I don't think going in aimlessly is a great idea. Because then you can either spend way too much or leave feeling disappointed. Okay. Other recent thrifting purchases for you, Gracie Stockton, would be? This shirt and these pants. These shirt and pants. Yeah. You know, I will fully admit, I like shopping. I like the shirt. Thank you. I haven't seen the jeans. Nice and short. Yeah, they are a little, they're kind of in between. Yeah. I did see the ankle. I think that's an HR violation. Oh, boy. Okay. Yeah. Too much skin. Too much skin. Okay. The females wearing male shirts. Where do you stand on that? Underrated. I think underrated. Absolutely. I agree 100%. Yeah. And they're comfortable. And I think some, again, thrifted, it's way cheaper. A lot of the time, a. nice button-up shirt for a woman, too. The quality of the fabric is not always great. They're overpriced, especially if you don't have a traditional body type. Men shirts are a little more forgiving sometimes. If they're a little oversized, roll up the sleeves, it looks fine. Okay, where do you stand on a female wearing a male-type suit? I think it can be a power move. If it's well tailored. I think the tailoring. matters a lot. Yeah, we're not the 80s anymore. I also think your confidence kind of matters to own it. Yes, I would agree with that. Absolutely. All right. What else you have for overrated, underrated, property rated? I would say underrated a Saturday morning Menards trip, but early. Saturday morning Menards trip. Okay. Now, you'll learn this by me. Mechanically.
I am so massively overrated. You know what I am? I'm not rated. Okay. Because it's not in my wheelhouse. He's Bob Vila. Don't let him lie to him. No, I'm dreadful. Okay. Are you a frequent Menard's person? I am. Okay. So you're handy around the house? Decently. Decently. Yeah. I haven't, you know, I used to love making cutting boards, but it's been a long time since I've owned a planar, so that's not been an option. Yeah. But there's nothing like an ingrained cutting board that you make, super satisfying. Like, I have no idea what you're talking about. That's great. Yeah, I mean. I'm going to have to Google whatever it was she just said. Yeah. Yeah. And the garden section is dangerous for me. Okay. I definitely have a plant addiction. So finding, I love finding the clearance plants that they're like just hanging on to the last vestiges of life and you can bring them back. What do you? You resuscitate them? Essentially. I mean, if there's green, there's something to save. Okay. Now, are these just traditional flowers? Do we have vegetables or what are we trying to save? You know, most of the time those end up being house plants. Okay. giving those life support. But we do have a big garden right now, which has been really fun. So we'll probably end up bringing in some produce for folks here. Oh, good. Yeah, something to share. I'm all in. My ex just gave me a couple cucumbers, a couple tomatoes. They look great. Fabulous. Excellent, Gracie. Thank you. Very good start to overrated, underrated, properly rated. You can always add. We obviously chime in with plenty. Chris is up next. I'll finish up. But if you want to add something, you can. 651-461-9226. Presented by T-Mobile, the official wireless partner of Odyssey Sports. Gracie is a nice ad to the show. Nice to have you aboard. Oh, thank you very much. She is excellent. Woodworking, Shad and Tubbs, turning your man cards. Yeah, we... My man card's been turned in for the last 20 years. Yeah, I gave it away right from the get-go. Yeah. Properly rated describing Jackson...
Coyvin's swing, longer clubs as lashing the ball. He's the kid in one of the three am open. He is the most dominant amateur in the last 20 years, amateur golf, better in speed, better than ROM. It is a contortion of his body that is rather unique. I hope it holds up. As long as it holds up, he is going to be a factor. Underrated, the sexiness of Gracie's voice. There he go. Play that part for your guy. I'll add that to my LinkedIn. On Chad's take on Chevy Chase, he's dead to me. Yeah, Chevy Chase should be dead to you because he's not good. He falls down. He almost brings iconic movies down to the ground like... I mean, it would have been better. Caddyshack with somebody other Chevy would have been better. She's figured this out quicker than Susie Jay Jones has, without a doubt. Well, Susie's on vacation this week. Yes. Oh, she knows this. I'm going to clip that and I'm going to send it to her. She's not listening. There's no chance. Overrated tipping properly is Chad Hartman's show. Underrated is go for baseball, yes. Overrated Jason to rushes card to sharks, please stop. I enjoy card to sharks. I don't agree. Overrated highway traffic enforcement of my 50 plus years of driving. I'm not seeing an officer stop anybody for tailgate. Overrated, Royce Lewis, underrated Cody Clemens. That's fair. Overrated, the Mike DeWine point. That is fair. All right, Tubsey. What do you have, sir? Well, I am going to go with underrated the very fact that Metro Transit decided to shut down the light rail when you've got thousands of people coming to Minneapolis this weekend from all over the country. They decided that we are going to take the light rail out of commission when you've got people who are going to be coming for WWW. And this isn't because I'm a wrestling fan, but just logistically, if you've got people that are coming out of town. and they're going to be at the Mall of America. Do you not want to make it convenient for them to get from point A to point B? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. We're going to shut this down. We're not going to look at the schedule. As long as it's done before Viking season, that's all we care. Well, now you're making it difficult for people that don't know the metro that are, you know, everybody's scrambling to find Ubers and other ways, but it's like. If you just would have had the light rail up and functioning, you could have made it a whole lot easier for people. Anytime you're having an event, let alone two nights, Gracie, at U.S. Bank Stadium with like 40,000 people or so, and you don't have it up to speed when you've had other windows. It's ludicrous, right? It's unfortunate. You know, you might be a really good weekend for Uber drivers, so maybe that's an upside. Yes. But, you know, it's a safety thing, too. You want people to get where they're going. Have a good time, but be able to get there and get back safely. Yeah. You know, I am curious because I think the Lairo comes back from right August 19th. Yep. They're saying there are going to be all these upgrades. I'm very curious to see what those upgrades actually are. Yeah, I am also, and then...
What is the tipping point for the individuals who in the teens, let's say, were riding the light rail, for them to feel safe enough? to ride it again. And obviously if we would get more people to work downtown, that would add to it. But the ridership, they can talk about small incremental increases, but it's still a long way from where it used to be. All right, Tubsey, what's next? I want to say overrated our early matinee movies. And I'm talking like 1130 or noon. Whoa. I enjoy watching a movie, but. My 16-year-old, she wanted to go see Hades Town at the Plymouth Grand 15. So it's either at 8 o'clock, and my wife, she turns into a pumpkin at like 9 because she gets up so early. We're like, let's go at 1130. Okay. Yeah. Well, number one, you get day old popcorn, which is like, bleak, great. I love movie theater popcorn. Slightly overage. Oh. How about that? Mystery oil, they put on your popcorn. Okay, but Alamo Draft House, I went to a 10 a.m. matinee of The Odyssey last Monday. Yeah. And you could get truffle popcorn. And it comes out in a big stainless steel bowl. Whoa. La de da. Indeed. And it's clearly fresh. It was real butter. It was delicious. Maybe you're not going to the right theater. That could be the issue. Yeah, it could be. Maybe I have to get out of Plymouth. and get to another suburb where they actually will put some money into their popcorn. So maybe that's my problem. Do you put candy in your popcorn grazing? I don't. Get out of here. I'm more of a savory person. I will say. Get out of here. Reese's pieces. Reese's pieces would be the pick. M&Ms. Right in the popcorn. You're looking at me like you've never had. It's one of the, it's phenomenal. How many napkins do you get? You're some sort of masochist if you do that. No. I would be worried. I would just be a mess. A man who understands the palate. I don't put that goofy oil on there either. Oh, I put the goofy oil. I don't know what that goofy oil is. That makes it enjoyable because is it real? Is it that? I don't know. It's mystery. It's a mystery. It's some sort of like mystery sauce that you put on your popcorn. A delicious mystery. I love it. And I will say. Uh, underrated is also binge watching television shows when you haven't had a chance to catch up. Uh, my wife and it for the longest time, we've got a few shows that we still have to watch the bear, uh, shrinking. Uh, we've just now started the final season of the boys. And I'm like, let's just buzz through. So we buzz through the first three episodes of the last season. What did you think? I like it so far. I like it. I heard good things. I never jumped in. Gracie, did you jump in the boys? I haven't. I'll admit, working on the personal budget, I currently only have Netflix. So I have, I've not been as versed in current TV, but I've been into the binge watching older stuff. So recently watched all of animal control. Great sitcom. Joe McHale? Yeah, and it's hilarious. It's a good time. I started watching, I think, Fire Country the other day. Oh, yeah. Who's in that again?
I could not tell you at the top of my head, but it's a good test. I saw the ads forward. Yeah. A lot. Yeah. So older binging. I mean, it's a lot. I mean, if you really totally want to jump into the binging, it's about 750 services out there. Okay. The Trump speech at the White House Correspondence Dinner was so awful. It was hard to fathom. Pre-political Donald Trump, when do you go on Dave? Or he would go on Howard Stern. Donald Trump was fully capable of being funny. And a lot of times he would show us something. He never shows us. Now you'd poke fun at himself. And if you're at the White House correspondent's dinner and whether any president, you have to have the ability to poke fun at yourself. His one joke about the meat coming from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running over cow, that was kind of funny. Okay. But his delivery on the jokes, the jokes, the meandering then into cheap shots, going after Kaitlan Collins on a night when she's honored, Donald, pick your lane. And that's why I... I didn't think they should invite him. It was intentionally mean. Well, he just isn't intentionally mean. It's just who he is. He has lost the ability outside of very rare circumstances, Gracie, to poke fun on himself. Yeah. And he's clearly off script. He doesn't have the timing anymore to tell a joke. I'm putting some of the onus on his joke writers, too. But, and it's just, I just kept watching like a train wreck. that it just kept going and going and going. W., who for a while was a pinata to the Washington, D.C. Press Corps, when he'd go to the Correspondent Center, it was very funny. Have fun. Separate. Bill Clinton, very thin skin to criticism. He had fun with it. Obama is just so shrewd with that. So you knew Obama was going to be good. Donald. either show some ability to be funny or just no show. That's what I thought. Did you catch a little bit of it? Yeah, a little bit. You know, I found the 2028 hat concerning and not funny. Yeah. Well, I've been saying for a while. I still think that's going to happen. Going on a brief one-day golf sojourn yesterday, and the one guy always brings a breakfast sandwich. And he was late, so he didn't bring a breakfast sandwich. Overrated. I counted Gracie on that breakfast sandwich. Okay, sandwich or burrito or breakfast tacos? Well, it kind of depends, because there's a pecking order like croissant is amazing. The bagel, I think, is overrated. Then what are you putting in your breakfast sandwich? My man, Jeff, normally on our occasional golf trips, he comes to the house because mine's somewhat on the way where we're going, and he has the breakfast sandwich. Should I, I talk, should I have canceled them on the trip, ships that you're out? Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I did, what's the point of the breakfast sandwich anyway? I don't know. I, I've never been, I like breakfast. I like nourishment, enjoyment. What a breakfast sandwich? Yes. What? You've never had one? I have it, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. Oh, get out of here. Go to time out. How about this kid? Nehemi Turner, 11 years old.
goes to a animal shelter and he has read more than 100 hours of books to the animals at the shelter to make them feel better. What an amazing young kid. Eleven years old. I hope they get adopted and I hope I achieve my goal to... He's been reading to dogs for the past two years. What an amazing child. Bravo to Nehemiah Turner. He became the Humane Society's first volunteer to reach the one-and-hour milestone and the Jacksonville Humane Society presented with a certificate to show its appreciation for the efforts. That is amazing. And last one. LeBron, the news coming out. I don't know if he's confirmed it yet, but we know he's going to Philly, right? Yeah, he confirmed it. No, no, no, I know that part. I know. I did call games for 60. Yeah, I pause there. I have a weird pausing pattern. So, yes, I know the Philadelphia story is out there. But what is emerged today is that LeBron, according to reports, is going to live in New York. commute to Philly, potentially helicopter. Get out of here. Well, it seems like the contract is too small for that. If you're committing to the organization and of the town, you can't live in one of the team and town's chief rivals, New York City. No. I mean, if that's the case, LeBron, come here to the Twin Cities. You can fly from New York. I'd be ticked off if I'm a diehard Philadelphia resident. You're excited, Tubbsie, to have him. But he's not even going to live in your city? I feel like he's just using your franchise, but you're not good enough for LeBron to sit there. And I tell you, if there's a more rational... well-measured fan-based in Philadelphia. They'll handle it well. They'll handle this extremely well. They will be completely understanding to LeBron saying, I want to play for you, but I think New York is a better place for me to be as a person. I guess he's somehow trying to justify this because his family might live in New York, although he still has, you know, his wife, Savannah, and his 12-year-old daughter are still in L.A. I hope they boo him opening night. Let's go. LeBron, either commit to Philly or dead to us. Gracie, very good. Thank you so much. Thank you. Gracie Stockton will now take over the mornings on Wednesday, starting with, it's basically the Gracie Stockton show, right? It's your show, five to six. Yeah, five to six. That's it. And then a part of the morning news team with Vanita. So only the best. Thanks so much. Thank you. A traffic fiasco and other traffic fiasco is when we come back. And if you've lived in this area for a while, in particular, if you've lived out west, you can identify with this discussion. First of all, as I said, I don't know. When was it back to May? I feel like there's a fatwa out in me for construction because out west, even towards my house, road after road after road is shut down. Mindot, I apologize. I really don't. I just want all this to end. But the Harlow column talks about 394 and 94 when it all comes together. So you're coming from the West. You're headed downtown, and you're going to blend in to 94, and you're going to head over to the Lowry Tunnel. And we understand what a fiasco it is. Excuse me. In the story, he quotes Mindot spokesman Nathan Bowie, basically saying, this is never. going to get better. They don't have any room to expand and add another lane. That's a comforting feeling. Expansion to accommodate additional lane would be very difficult and cost prohibitive. There are no future plans to expand lanes at eastbound I-384994, primarily because of the challenging footprint of that area to make expansion possible. I think it's 10 million times I've driven that way in my life. There's no room. There's, I don't see how. They could pull it off, and let's be honest, the carpool lanes, which are unavailable right now. But supposedly in November this project is going to end, and then you'll get the carpool lanes going different directions, pending the time of day, pending what events might be going. They've helped. They haven't helped enough. No. They just have not. They haven't generated the revenue. They thought it's, I get the concept. I do. Because there are a lot of towns across this country, across the globe, where tolls are incredibly prominent. And where people get like those transponders, they put it right up in their car, in the windshield, and boom, boom, boom, you get revenue. And I get some people are like, bleep that. I'm already paying enough money. I'm just going to take the link. Yeah.
They're not going to pay. Nope. Or they're ticked off that they have to pay. This is state also where we avoided raising the gas tax forever. And part of what's going on right now is now we have more revenue. So we're trying to catch up. And a lot of these projects should have been addressed a long time ago. Where else in your drive? Did the roads drive you most nuts? Again, as a person who lives out west, who comes downtown frequently and also heads out to St. Paul frequently and further east frequently, the I-394-94 is a zoo, but you know what part of what would help that? Is all you folks who get in the right lane in South Dakota, let's use both lanes. And let's accept when people who've used both lanes where now the traffic in the right lane will not be as heavy. And so you can let them in to your lane. With less anger, with less guilt, because you in the right lane didn't have as many people there. People are so timid. And people get mad about zipper merge this, zipper merge that. It is the way to go. It is in fury when people are in Minatrista. And they're going, I got to get in the right lane. I'm making trouble. Use the other two lanes, you goofballs. And then we can get there better. Will ever be resolved completely? No, but it is idiotic when the two lanes aren't completely empty, but they're borderline empty. And you could be in Winona, basically, and you're already in the right lane. Does this drive you nuts? Yeah, all the time, because that's one of the two ways that I come downtown. And thankfully, when I see that 394-94 interchange. For the most part, I'm going past it. I'm coming downtown. But I see it. And I'm just like passing everybody. And then I see it. It will never not be busy. Like it could be midnight on a Sunday. And it's going to be backed up. Four in the morning, Sunday to Monday. It's still big. Now, do you feel guilty at all? Let's say you're headed a sample. And Tubsey has used the middle and left lane. Yes. And then you're cruising up there. And as you get closer to the exit. There's a bit of a space and you swoop into the space. No, I don't feel bad at all. Good. Because it's... You shouldn't. It's the concept of the zipper merge. But I feel like people, it's like, well, I waited in this line for so long. You didn't wait. Why should I let you in? Because I had to wait, so you have to wait. There are other available lanes. Because you're dope, but you got in the right lane too soon. Zipper merge. It's...
I think we all understand the zipper merge, but yeah. No, no, they don't. People get so pissed if they feel like they're being bumped back in line. Pat is called in. We can take text and phone calls on the 394-94. You're with us. You're against us. And also other areas where you drive with some regularity and you're like. for the love of God. Can people just pay attention or can we improve this area? 651-461-9226. Pat, thanks for listen. Go ahead. You're on CCO. So don't feel guilty at all there, Chad. I've been driving this city for over 50 years delivering day in and day out. And specifically on the 394 to 94 tunnel, everybody knows that from 100, into the spaghetti bowl is three lanes. Correct. Thank you. You know you're going to go to the ballpark. The right two lanes, the right lane only is for the tunnel. So you stay in the middle lane or the second lane, and by the time you get... halfway up the little hill before you turn to go in the tunnel. You know that there's some dope on his phone or lollygagging. There's a good term from the old country. Yes. And you can get in with ease. Use your signal and, you know, if he starts speeding up, I'm still going in the right lane. You're a patriot, Pat. You're using the lanes properly. They're putting on makeup. They're talking as somebody. Their mind is wondering. Now, maybe they also, let's give them a little credit sometimes, but maybe some of those people don't care because they also cut over not too far back. And so they're paying it back. Yeah. It certainly, and I tell everybody, I've been delivering for years, and I'm still to this day when I drive my car or my pickup truck, I am obsessed with the way stupid people drive, but it is what it is. Thank you, Pat. I appreciate it. Thanks for calling. Let's pause right here. More tech. You want to disagree with Pat Tubbsy in our agreement? We're thankful that you fools are leaving us room, but we're mad. that if you would use the other two lanes with more regularity, then we all could be doing this. It's not that difficult. Come on, people. And also, where else in town or even in the state? Where does it drive you nuts? 6-5-1-461-9-226. Chips Coggins. Always on Mondays early in the 2 o'clock hour, and that will continue. We'll get ABC News and Gracie Stockton, who has fit in so well here right away. We still miss our friend, Steve. But you left us, Steve, so you're dead to us. I mean, I went to his going away party. I looked at them and said, lose my number.
I mean, once you leave, I mean, we got to move on, right? You should just block him at that point. Yeah. Who? I didn't remember his name. Mm-hmm. Lindis Construction Time check is 153. Time to move rainwater where it belongs with Leafguard brand gutters, installation labor, 75% off in July. Lindis Construction.com. We're talking traffic. We're talking issues in particular 3994 and 94 and how. Folks just want to get in that right lane. I did not realize it. I'm in California. Let me get in the right lane. You know, I got to make sure I'm okay. I didn't realize how polarizing this was. It's hard to be right all the time. I mean. It's really. It's not easy. And then the other areas in town where it is infuriating to you. 35W. North where Highway 10 pours into 35. You have to move over two lanes and bump into upper traffic. Dig the county road. An incredible amount of accidents. I've had to do that before, for sure. 94 West, the Rogers exit overpass, the speed is 70, and they slow down to 40. It's so unsafe. Without a doubt. Without a doubt. Yeah, that's always been a boondoggle for as long as I can remember, too. I've become much more of a Duluth person the last 10 years than a brainer person. So I've missed out on the perpetual construction headed that way. I don't miss it. I'm okay. It's always, it's like Sioux City on I-29. There's like always construction. It's very narrow casting. Sioux City on I-29. Sioux City and I-29. It's the city. Hi, everybody. It's Chris Tubbs here in Iowa. I thought you get my demo tape. Yeah, thank you. Highway 12 through Wisetta, when they closed off the ramp from 494, there was no detour sign Tucker Carlson Parkway. Right now, that area, well, let's just three and a four. Let's go away from downtown. The Xenia exit. That's ghost. The Cedar Lake exit. That's a ghost. Then you go out like you're going to YZter. Maybe you go to horse breath to play golf just hypothetically. Sometimes you get on to 494 from 394. Yep. Either way. Good luck. You never know which rows might be available to you in YZeta. That's why I'm saying. It's a crapshoot. There has been a fat walk. And I don't even talking about some other roads. They're even closer to where I live. Uh, let's see. Not a highway, but from the Albreville outlet mall, the big bore and Hanover, there's like 11 stoplights and you get stopped at 8% of them. Big bore and Hanover, by the way, dramatically underrated. Have you had the big bore? No, I haven't. Nope, never, never have. It's, uh... It's really good. Hate to break you guys, but when you cruise at the front of the line and butt in, that ain't a zipper merge, we can debate what it is, okay? But it's the appropriate use of the lanes. It is the law to use both lanes, texture, until the end of the lane, you merge like the teeth of a zipper. Thank you. 94 to 34 to 34, the quick slip in.
No, no, no, no, no, no. The zipper is only for two lanes into one. Guess what? You're not zippering from the left lane past the middle lane to the right lane. Conceptually, it is the same thing. A quick slip in the zipper? It's the same thing. My husband is a school bus driver. It says the zipper merge never works for a school bus. People absolutely do not want to be behind the bus. Yeah. I think that's also fair. Are we out of 5735 Tubbs? Is that when you want to stuff? Fifty-seven-50. Okay. Chip Skuggins. How about this? We will certainly talk again about John Anderson and the passing of a great, great human. We started the show talking with our friend Ryan Lefevre, who worked here for a little bit. Worked the fan for a while, and now has been the longtime Royals voice. He was eloquent about John Anderson. So Chip and political roundup at 235.
