I just wanted to pass this along in case you missed this last week. I know many of you don't get the paper anymore. But this was in last weeks. The Youngstown Police and Fire Departments are investigating what they call an arson early Monday in which an 11-year-old boy was rescued from a dog cage in a first-floor bedroom. I'm going to read that again just so you can hear it. The Youngstown Police and Fire Department are investigating what they call an arson earlier Monday in which an 11-year-old boy was rescued from a dog cage at a first-floor bedroom. An unidentified person freed the boy from a locked dog cage while helping to rescue the boy in his family from the fire on Forestview Drive on the east side. Youngstown Police Report does not state who the rescuer was, but the rescuer told Youngstown fire investigator Charles Hodge that he rescued the boy from a dog cage with three locks. according to a police report. The report states that the boy's father was identified, but the report blacked out the name of the father and did not indicate whether the father was interviewed or charged. Youngstown City spokeswoman, a spokesperson stated in an email, we can confirm that both YPD and YFD are investigating incidents on Forest View Drive and that the child is safe and in the care of Mahoning County Children's Services. Well, that's glad to hear that, right? It's just one of them stories when I happen to read it, I set that aside and I said, I got to make sure people hear that. It's just hard to imagine. The cruelty that you get to, that people do, I mean, if, so you got an 11-year-old child in a dog cage, allegedly with three locks on it, It's unbelievable. Did you see that other story? Was it last week where the, what was it? The people that rescue animals rescued all these dogs and chickens from this guy that owns some local Mexican restaurants and the shape and condition they were in?

It's just, I mean, sometimes you just shake your head and you wonder about people. You just wonder about people in general. I mean, if that is accurate that you have an 11-year-old boy locked in a dog cage, you just sit back and go, what is going on in that household? Then you saw, what was it, a week or two ago, maybe two weeks ago, this guy that has some Mexican restaurants, a couple of them, I guess, in this area. They busted him for how he was, for his dogs and chickens. And just how horrible of condition they were in. And what was going on there? I don't know if it was cock fighting or dog fighting or what was going on there. You happen to see the pictures of that. You sit back and you go, oh, my Lord, what do, what are these people thinking? And beat her up with her friend. You don't want her friend could say. Well, I'll tell you this much. How Caitlin Clark is being treated is ridiculous to me. Right. I mean, it is absolutely ridiculous. She is the only reason that women's basketball is getting any notoriety and any attention at all. And they want to act. They don't care for. Caitlin Clark, and I'll tell you why, because she's heterosexual and white. Yeah, but here's something really cool. Two big, huge black men decided to get qualified to play for the WMBA. And now they're having a meeting to determine what is a man and what is a woman. Oh, okay. I mean, this is just getting ridiculous. between a man and a woman. I know. I mean, it's a no-brainer. It is working out. Listen, every day they can't get oil out, they're losing $450 million a day. And every day that we're, every day that we have 30, 25 to 30, excuse me, probably they say, speculate 30 million, less barrels of oil on the market every day, we're suffering greatly too. Okay. All right, so you're complaining about $5 a gallon of gas. Well, it's not $5 a gallon. I haven't paid that. But I saw it at $4.11. Sometimes now I'm seeing it at $4 again. It's $4 a gallon. Sometimes you might see $3.90. It's still expensive, don't you think? Yeah, Ron, but for what's going on right now, not bad. But listen, we've got to get out of this. We got to get out of this world oil oil crap. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm. Because we pump our own oil. And I'm tired of being measured. You know what I mean? Measureed by the rest of the idiots, okay? Well, you're bringing up you being measured. You're five foot ten. You already told me. Why do you need to be measured? No, I'm talking about the United States having to say themselves, oh.

Oh, we're popping our own, hell. We're getting oil from Venezuela. Yeah, but there's different types of oil. That's the problem. Ron, we got the sweetest oil. No, we don't. There's light crude and heavy crude, and you need the heavy crude. To make jet fuel and diesel fuel. And diesel, yeah, I know that. Yeah, so, and we really don't make that. So we really don't have that here. We have light. We find it down in New Orleans. We are, that's right. That's why we import it. But ours is light crude. It's not heavy crude. All right. That's fine. So that's why we're not energy independent. That's why we still import a lot of oil. Now you get heavy crude, David, from Canada, Venezuela, Russia, and the Middle East. Do you know what the difference is? See, heavy crude isn't cooked as long in the earth as light crude. So that's why it's called light crude. And the refineries are set up for heavy crude. Right. Just giving you a little bit of a lesson. Well, we got refineries done in New Orleans for heavy crude because Venezuela, that's where they're bringing the oil to us. Right. That's right. Most of our refineries are for heavy crude, not for light crude. Right. So we have light crude here. So that's why we export a lot of our oil because we need to get the heavy crude in because that's what we need. Let me ask you. Yeah. Are you happy about what he did with Venezuela? Yeah, that seemed to go rather smoothly. I think this, you know, I'm a broken record on this one, I think this is a mess, in my opinion. That's because you don't know what he's doing. I don't know that he knows what he's doing. He does know what he's doing. I don't think he does. What is he doing? He's using the economic fury on him with Scalbesson. $450 million to lose in a day. And I think if the break wasn't pending, I was right where I wanted to be. Because with Bubba Ganoos, he's like a pot on a stove. And I felt like I was just getting under his skin enough where it was boiling. And because he'll talk like this. And then he'll get like this at the end of it. So that is always my goal in my conversation with Bubba Ganoos. She's like a pot of water there, and it's on a simmer, and I'm talking to him, and I'm getting under his skin, and then all that kind of stuff, and then he starts getting talking quicker and louder, and then it kind of crescendoes. And I was almost there, I felt, but the break was pending.

I thought I thought, I think if that break would have been, those are hard breaks. Anyhow, I called up because I've been reading out three different news coming out on three different times. where Marietta now is having a problem, they're having water coming up out of the ground. And when they pull samples in to find it, here it was the stuff that we're pumping into the ground to get the natural gas out of the ground. And they're worried about whether this stuff is going to be in our water table. Are you talking about these wells that they put that fracking water in? Yes, sir. Where did you see this? Say this again. for the past two and a half months about that fracking coming up, and Marietta was on the front of it, saying that they're having problems with this coming right up right on the ground, right on the top, and they're afraid it's going to get into our water table. And we not only use our fracking material, but we're also getting it from Pennsylvania. Oh, the injection wells? Yes, sir. Did you know this? Do you want to know some interesting trivia? Sure. Why not? All right. Do you know all of the water that we have is all the water that we have? You follow me? In other words, people would always say that they're opposed to when you put this water in these injection wells and it's taken out of the system. Right? Does this make sense to you? Because... the rain water evaporates and then it rains, right? You follow me? Yep. That there isn't any additional water. Am I making sense to you? Do you get what I'm saying or not? I say what you're saying, but you've got to figure. It's like a closed system is what I'm saying. The earth is a closed system. So you only have so much fresh water. There isn't going to be. You just don't make anymore. You follow me? I don't. I mean, if you want to put water back in the ground, you've got to put water on the ground so it soaks back into the ground. Well, no, the people were saying, why am I having a hard time here? So the people are saying that when you would put this water in these injection wells and it's down there because it's polluted, that that water's out of the cycle, the water cycle. So like you have water, it evaporates, and it comes back as rain. So if you take out the, if you take water out of the cycle, that's how much, how much water you're taking out of the freshwater cycle? Out of the well, freshwater wells. No, out of the system as a whole. There's only so on Earth. I'm talking planet Earth.

So on planet Earth, there's like there isn't an, there's only so much water. You follow me? How do that water get in the ground in the first place? Well, I'm not talking about the water in the ground. I'm just talking the water cycle. For some reason, I'm having our time explaining it. Anyway, move along. So you're saying that you're saying that it's coming back up? showing itself on the ground. And what people are concerned about is some of this stuff is not only seeping up or coming up, it's seeping back into the freshwater reserves that we have in the ground. And that's what they're concerned about. And it's happening down in Marietta. And it's probably happening all over the state of Ohio, but it just hasn't. a couple three years ago about it. And that's what I was afraid of. Yeah, because they shoot it down any injection wells. Remember the injection well that was causing the, we had earthquakes around here as a result. Stand by for me. Yeah, remember the injection wells that around here were that created the earthquake? Yes. All right, so you're talking about the injection wells, some of the waters coming back up in, what, Marietta? In Marietta. Here's what I was trying to explain to you. Earth's water cycle.

Is the continuous journey water takes as it moves from the ground to the sky and back again. Powered by the sun and gravity, water changes between liquid, solid, and gas, sustaining all life and shaping weather patterns on our planets. So when people, like, there's a limited supply of water. With this, with your method of thinking. wells out west in the farming country and cattle country that are completely dry. They suck the water out of it because nobody was putting any water in it at all to replace it. Well, did you see, did you, what is the, uh, Now it escapes me. The lake that those four states suck out, it's at an all-time low right now. Oh, it escapes me. Somebody else. I understand. If you're familiar with it, somebody else. Either text it to me or send me an email on it. So anyway, it's at an all-time low, and they're saying, well, this is because of climate change and global warming and what we're experiencing with the weather. I don't know if that's true or false. Listen, I'm the first guy to tell you, I'm not a scientist. I can't tell you whether it's... Climate change is fact or fiction. I don't know. I haven't been to, I haven't studied the glaciers. I mean, I really don't know. Everyone has an opinion, but I don't know. So the reality is they say, as a result of climate change, you have a big drought going on out. Lake Mead is the name of it. Lake Mead. You have a big, it's really low. But here's the rub on that.

All of the expansion it has taken place out in Vegas. It's out in Vegas in that area, if you're familiar with it. Well, you have all these people that have moved out there and all these homes that have been built out there that are all sucking off of that water supply. So when they say that it's at an all-time low because you've got a drought that's going on. You've got a drought that's going on. It's at an all-time low. Well, is part of that because so many people have moved out there and are sucking off all that water, too? I'm not saying there isn't a drought because they say there's a serious drought going on out there, and they're genuinely concerned with how low Lake Mead is, and so what they're going to do about the water situation out there. But they're talking climate change, and I don't. agree or disagree with that they i would just say also think of all the people that are living out there now that are also using that facility how's that why in the world can't why in the world with all our technology that we have we cannot get the army corps of engineers to divert the runoff that comes from the snow the excess snow and the excess rain and fill it and start filling these other lakes back up I don't know. I don't know what they do out there, but I assume based on what I've been reading, they got a drought going on. So apparently that's what the problem is. There's just lack of rain. Something that we don't experience much around here, and we're blessed as a result of it. We're actually blessed here because of all the fresh water that we have available. Here's another thing that I caught on the news cycle twice now. I don't know how he's getting away with that. Trump hasn't said anything yet. But his son said, wait a minute, that jet that he received from Quattair or whatever that is not going to be in his library. They're going to request one of the older ones that are going to be retired to be put up there, and he's going to fly that jet around the world, the one he got from Quattier, which has now been totally, probably. I don't see why not. sure that it's safe enough for him to be on. Well, they wanted to, I thought they were supposed to be building a new Air Force One. Don't you remember this story when Trump, I'm going back to Trump the first term, that he negotiated the price down with Boeing, what they quoted it at, and then he negotiated the price way down, which Boeing accepted. to build a new Air Force One, because the existing Air Force One was so old. Right. I believe, if I remember correctly, on the reading of that, at that time, that was five years or six years out. Now they're saying it's another two more years. before that jet will be put together to fly. Well, how is that possible? But anyway, anyway, I remember that back in his first term where he supposedly negotiated the price down, and they were to build a brand new Air Force One.

Because it's so sophisticated, I suppose. It's not like a regular airplane. So then he accepts this other airplane. He doesn't own that airplane. It's owned by the country. He can't take it with him or anything like that. But he was using it as like an Air Force One. But apparently it doesn't have all the security stuff on it that the original Air Force One has. But I would say, okay, if you're going to have a library, put the old one, the retired one. Not just Trump was in, but wasn't it Reagan's library that has an Air Force one in it as well? Exactly. I mean, you know, you put the planes when they are retired so people can actually go to these facilities and walk through it and see what it's all like. Well, still the same. I mean, the way he had talked that that was going to be the one that he got from that country, that they were going to use that and put it in his library. And now Eric Trump come out and said, no, no, no, we're supposed to get one. retired one and he's going to be able to fly with this other one. Yeah. Anywhere he wants to go. There's a question for you. Yeah. What is the biggest export in the country of Israel? Okay, you don't know, but... I don't know. I was actually giving it some thought, and I don't know. It's armaments. Hmm, that's interesting. And they're selling it all... the world. Well, just what we need. Well, unfortunately, wasn't it Eisenhower? Beware of the military industrial complex. I think he made a statement that was sound then and it's still sound today. Don't you agree? Too many people are making too much money off a war and death. Yes, and he wanted to downsize the military so that we wouldn't be paying us so much, but to encourage... military and the people that work with the military to make better safer equipment so we wouldn't have to have so many soldiers on the ground well the military budget trump just took it from 900 billion to one and a half trillion ain't that amazing i mean it's just so so basically all of our surplus money has gone to military spending. And I'm sitting back saying, well, wait a minute. We know we got a big problem when it comes to Social Security and Medicare. Shouldn't we be using some of that surplus money to aid our seniors in this country? I mean, there's other purposes. You can get to a point where you got too much money and too much wasteful spending going on in the military, and they've never been able to account for where all that money is going into spending. So, yes, I think you have to realize the country has some other issues and priorities that need to be dealt with as opposed to taking it from $900 billion and $1.5 trillion. Yeah, I think it's ridiculous. When that war in Ukraine was going back.

had and Biden come in and said to Congress, I need X amount of dollars so we could start filling ours back up again. And the conservative Republicans, the rhinos of the Republican Party. I don't know that you need any more money. The one thing you've got to admit I give Trump credit for is he didn't give the stuff to the Ukraine. He sold it. If the Ukraine got it through the United Nations that bought it off of us. Under the Biden administration, we kept giving all this stuff to the Ukraine billions and billions of dollars. And that's not fair to the American taxpayers. So whether you like Trump or hate Trump. He said, no, if you want it, it's available, but you're going to have to pay for it. We're not subsidizing this through the American taxpayer. And I totally agree with that. I mean, I'm tired of the United States of America being screwed. I'm just tired of it. I understand that. But he did make a deal with him. They have certain minerals that we need. And Ukraine says, yes, we'll trade you those minerals for the armaments. I don't know that that's accurate. Well, that's how it went on his first administration. But the thing of it is, is Ukraine went ahead and figured out how to use these drones, improvise them, and make them better. Right. No, they lost. I think they lost yesterday. Now they go on a road trip. This is August the 10th. Of course, last year they were, remember, they were 15, but they can't do this. Let's, let me see. Yesterday, 5 to 3 was the final. Yeah. That was Sunday. Saturday, 6 to 3 was the final. Both games losing the White Sox. Yeah. And Friday, 8 to 2, the Guardians won. So they won one out of the three. Oh. How about, let's see, the Mets was 13 to 6 losing. Let's say, I do, do, do, do, too, and it's not, I don't know, this doesn't surprise me because it's usually we have a hot, right up until the All-Star break, it seems like we do really well. And then after the All-Star break, it seems like we struggle. And it seems like that's the case every year.

You know what I heard from F&M, there's a game on, I think, Saturday, the Browns. I might watch them see how they look, you know, whatever. Why torture myself this soon? You told me, didn't you? Yeah, well, after hearing, I don't know if you caught any of the Clay and Buck show today where they had Senator Ron Johnson on talking about COVID. I know what he has said about COVID, but why don't you tell her? I know that he's been really on top of the COVID situation. Him and Rand Paul, but go ahead. Give a report to the class. What did he say? Well, they have Anthony Fauci's cell phone, and they have 34,000 text messages and 522 voicemails that we're going through on the pandemic. And Johnson said that.

He said he's done a lot of good things, but he will not admit that he was wrong on COVID. And I don't know, do you still have your COVID if you got the COVID shot? Do you have your vaccination record card from the pharmacy? I'm sure I do. Okay, you can look up your lot number of, I got it because my family doctor talked me into it, but I had the Moderna shot and I have the lot numbers. And you could look up those lot numbers on the CDC sites to see what the VERS adverse reactions were. And that's what Ron Johnson was getting into. On Anthony Fauci was pushing this shot, and it was never pushed before on pregnant women to get the COVID shot. And it resulted in so many miscarriages as a side effect. I mean, that alone. Think of all the families that were impacted. If I said to you, I'd be curious your reaction to this, Anthony Fauci is like a Dr. Mingola to me. Would you think I'm losing it or not? No, no, not at all. All right. I mean, the more I read about this guy, the more bizarre a person that's the more troubling and a more disturbing. It is. I might have told you this before in the past, but when it came to the COVID vaccines, my wife said to me, and I listened, do not get the moderma. Or the Pfizer one, she told me, if you're going to get the Johnson and Johnson one. That was good advice. Right. It was not an M.RNA technology in the Moderna and Pfizer. They weren't actually vaccines. They were actually gene therapy research drugs. And the Johnson and Johnson's. COVID was actually more like a vaccine. Yeah. And it didn't have the new technology. But I feel bad. I got the Moderna and I got the lot numbers and I was looking it up. That vaccine caused more damage than good. I mean, it impacted so many people. And with Ron Johnson was saying that Trump... just wants to bury it. He can't admit that he was wrong, and he's taking credit for the warp speed. It was his beautiful, you know, warp speed project that got all of the vaccines out there on record time. But that's one of the big points that I'm disappointed, and that along with the war. The war is just, I've had it with the war. I can't believe... Well, yeah, I do believe the seventh peace deal fell apart. And our friends in Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, came out and publicly criticized...

15 points. He said he'd no way that Israel would go along with that peace deal. In a translation, the war is still on, and it's going to be on for quite a while. Well, I want to go back before we go there, I was just looking. So that I can remember when this whole COVID thing was going on. I can remember her saying that. And I can remember my wife was deeply disturbed over getting any vaccine. I remember her. I mean, she's really smart. I'm just going to tell you. It's hard to imagine, right? But she's right on that. No, she's really smart. And she ended up having to get one because of dealing with cancer patients and that kind of stuff. And she never got any boosters or any of that kind of stuff. and just was not pro-vaccine at all on any of this. And so when I got one, she said, the only one you should get is a Johnson-Johnson one. That was the one going on because it was different than Moderna and Pfizer. And that's the only one I got. And I guess I'm glad that that was the case. And you're saying, Obviously, there was a lot of side effects to those vaccines. And let's be realistic there. Well, I want to talk to you about this some more. These people who act like, oh, it was no big deal, it was just a cold and that kind of stuff. Well, it was a big deal because it was created in a lab. It was created in China. And, I mean, let's be realistic. Anthony Fauci funded it. Anthony Fauci lied about it. It was created in that lab, whether it was released intentionally or by accident. It killed a lot of people. I mean, a lot of people died as a result of it before we were aware of what it was, or even once we knew what it was, a lot of people died from COVID by themselves without their family by their side. And were denied. treatments that could have made a difference. Ivermectin, hydrochloroquine and that kind of stuff. And a lot of doctors that were trying this stuff and being successful with it risk losing their medical license if they continued to do that. So it was a very strange experience. And so I'm not denying COVID was there. And COVID wasn't a real problem. But I also will acknowledge the vaccine also. hurt and killed, I believe a lot of people as far as blood clots and problems that happened as a result of the vaccine. And the idea where they said, well, natural immunity was a bunch of BS. That was just an out-and-out lie. Would you agree with all those statements? Yes. I said with the side effects of that vaccine, you could have had better treatments if you gave steroids, antibiotics, Ivermectin. Do not put a patient on a respirator. That was a sure death. And that was the other point that got me when Trump had his warp speed, making all of the respirators to distribute to the hospitals. Waste them on time, yeah. Of course, remember at the time, they said there aren't enough of them. And so remember at the time, the medical community was saying this is what was necessary. But he's listening to what Anthony Fauci's telling him. Yes, but that's what... Anthony Fauci's 85 now. He's never going to face justice. If they ever did charge him or he would drag it out into his 90s and then he'll... Do you think any of these people, though, I mean, in all seriousness, do you think the people that brought you the Russian hoax for the first Trump term for three years? I don't see any of these people ever facing any justice. I don't think you'll see any of these people in the Epstein situation ever face justice as far as be put on trial for crimes. I don't think whether that's the Epstein files, whether that's Anthony Fauci. whether that's the Russian hoax situation. I don't think any of these people will ever, ever face any type of justice. And I hear the Republicans spew it all the time, but it never happens. The Republicans are totally useless. In tune, I could pull my hair out, what hair I have left, adjourning the Senate until September. And I was waiting for that clarity act to get passed, and that was low on the agenda.

President Trump signing an executive order reducing the number of child vaccines for protection to 11 diseases, down from the 18 diseases recommended by the CDC in 2024. The president also recommended childhood vaccine schedules for the measles, mumps, and rebella, or MMR be split into three separate shots. He says to reduce autism risks. At one year, you should. have five separate visits for vaccines rather than getting them all in the same day. Major medical groups, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, say that there are no studies showing a link between vaccines and autism. Talks between the U.S. and Iran remain stalled over the Strait of Hormuz, Iran demanding the U.S. lift the naval blockade and pay reparations. President Trump now says Iran should repay that for decades of terrorist-related deaths in the Middle East. ABC Stephen Portnoy says Iran is listing its own demands for opening the critical waterway. In past weeks, we've heard the president talk about last chance for Iran. In recent months, since the war began in late February, he's talked about a complete surrender that he's demanded. It comes after a break in the case three decades after the fatal shooting of the West Coast rapper. Prosecutors alleging that the murder was a hit. ABC's Alex Stone has more. Las Vegas prosecutors say they can prove the murder was orchestrated by one-time South L.A. gang leader Dwayne Davis, street name Keefe D. Davis spoke exclusively to ABC News from inside jail. I ain't killed nobody. But for years, Davis has boasted about his alleged involvement in Shakur's murder. He even published a book admitting to his role in it. A book he now says he didn't write. As I was saying to you, I don't think you're going to see anybody pay a price for any of the misdeeds that they've done, the Russian hoax, Anthony Fauci, Epstein. I just think the Republicans, they're all talk and no action, and there's just zero accountability for any of this kind of stuff, period. Now with that being said, then you told me on the last time you spoke, you said you voted for Trump every time, but you're frustrated with Trump?

I'm frustrated with Trump and the Republican Party. I'm considering myself an independent right now. But after, I don't know if you caught, I think it was beat the press or faced the nation. They had Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was on for an interview. I mean, there's no way you could have. I've talked to you too many years here on the radio. There's no way you'd ever vote for anyone. You'd never vote for a Democrat. No, that's the alternative. You can't vote. They're calling themselves like Bernie Sanders, socialist, but that's just a nice word for communist. And they're gaining a lot of momentum, that DSA party, and the Democratic Party, the left wing, is gaining so much momentum. Why do you think that is? A lot of young people and college-educated people and a lot of females that are gravitating towards that, their views, and the garbage is they're spewing. And that's what Senator Johnson said. on Clay and Buck. He said, the sad thing is, is the media will never let you know what the truth is, what's really going on, and getting back to that COVID real fast. His Senate subcommittee, he's chairing it. They've come up with the statistics that 80% increase in miscarriages. This is after they started pushing the vaccinations. on the pregnant women. And now we're finding you've got turbo cancers in young adolescents, colon cancer. It's advanced. People have never seen this before, and they're thinking that's the result of the COVID vaccination, and then going down the line, the lesser effects like the clots, sudden death, the myocarditis. But his frustration is the media will never let this out. And the Republican Party is, I guess, going along with the media. But that being said, I will never vote for a communist. Why do you suppose so many young people are voting for that nonsense? They're hearing this affordability issue. They're hearing, you know, that the pie in the sky, everything is going to be free. You know, like Zohran Mamdani in New York, he's going to have the city-run grocery stores where he's going to set the prices, and it's going to be great for everybody. They tell you, you know, they promise you everything, and then you end up getting delivered garbage. But I got a kick out of my soul. Who is the actor that's moving out of New York? He always played the lobsters. He played in taxi. Oh, God, I can't think of his name right now. But he said he's leaving New York because of the tax structure that Zohran Mamdani is putting in. But it's going to be interesting to see if you get more of these DSA people like that Korean in Wisconsin, Xiao, it'll be coming up for the governor's election.

where she wants to do away with the police, do away with prisons, not to mention, well, I told you last week the one good idea I liked she wanted to do away with Thanksgiving, along with a lot of the other holidays. I know, but I mean, that's ridiculous. I mean, the fact that people are voting for these people is absolutely beyond me. And there's some things that I would sit back and take a look at. For example, when we hear this about housing, let me just, I was reading about housing today, family housing. And there's a couple of things when they talk affordability and the prices going up and that kind of stuff. You know what they were talking about when I was reading it today? You're at the beginnings of the baby boomer generation dying off. That this idea of a housing shortage is going to go away very quickly because of all the houses of the baby boomers as they die off. Are you following what I'm saying? Is that exactly the downside? Yeah, basically they're saying that the housing crisis that we keep hearing about and how prices keep escalating. that they're now talking about no housing prices are going to come down because there's going to be a glut of houses because the baby boomer generation is now dying off and that houses will not be as expensive and so you'll be able to buy them they'll be more affordable because there'll be more of them on the market and as a result of the baby boomers passing away which is just basically now starting to happen. So they're saying when they're saying the average age of somebody to buy a home now is 40, okay, that might be the case. And let's say it drops down to 35 or whatever. Well, by the time you reach that age, there's going to be a glut of houses on the market available and you'll probably be able to get a pretty good deal. The marketplace actually works, supply and demand. Yeah, I buy that. I know a lot of people that have – I have relatives that have sold their homes and moved closer to their grandchildren and out of state like Chicago, but they've gone from a house to a condo. So that house is on the market, and there's a lot of baby boomers. Right, right now people – you can sell it and you can get top dollar for it, but they're saying just give it time because you can't take any of this stuff with you, and as you die – In most cases, I think they were saying 75% of cases the children sell the family house. in 75% 25% of the cases the kids take it over and move into it. It wouldn't surprise me if that number increases because of just the economic type situation. And there's nothing wrong with that. But they even are saying if that's the case, if 50% of the houses go for sale because baby boomers should I. My point is these people that think socialism is the answer to everything.

I don't think they understand how capitalism has, they always say how easy it was for my father's generation or for the baby boomer generation. And I always thought about that and I came back and I thought, for my father's generation, he was in World War II and I remember how happy my mother was that he came home. You follow me? I mean, this idea that everything was just great. Well, it wasn't so great for my father's generation with World War II. And part of the baby boomer generation, it wasn't so great for my older brother's part of the baby boomer generation when you either got, there wasn't a volunteer, you could still volunteer for the military, but you were drafted into the military. Well, ask them how great it was in a baby boomer generation when you would sit there on television watching them pull the draft numbers. I remember sitting here with my dad watching the draft numbers get drawn, and how many of those young men had to go and... die or suffer consequences of Agent Orange or go over to Vietnam. Tell them how easy they had it. You follow what I'm saying? I remember the draft numbers being drawn, my brother and I, and I pulled a 331 number, and his number was 46. So he ended up in the Marines, and I got the, I forget what the classification was with that high number. Right, but I mean, this idea that, oh, those generations had it so much better, so much easier, well, guess what? It wasn't easy for my dad. He's lucky he lived, and it wasn't, you get into my older brother's time of baby boomers. It wasn't easy for them because of the draft in Vietnam. So this idea that it was always so much better, hey, right now, my argument would be if you're here today. I make this argument. You're not worried about getting drafted. You're not worried about any of that stuff because we have a volunteer service. But as you'll testify to this, when I was a young man, it was damn difficult to get into the post office. It was difficult to get on the fire department, the police department, get into General Motors or get into any of the trades. You had to know. Almost impossible to get a civil service job. Almost impossible and damn hard to get into any of the traits. Today. The young generation today, they're begging for people in all of these professions. They're begging for state highway patrolmen. They're begging for people to get into the trades and this kind of stuff. And those opportunities did not exist when I was a young man. And so this idea that it was so much better for my generation, I would argue against that. I don't think it was necessarily better. I think these are some of the best times that you could have as far as careers. And that would be my argument on the whole scope of things. And standard of living.

is gone way, way up. Right, because of capitalism, though. Right. Would you not? I mean, capitalism is, but if you're not willing to put the effort forth, then, and I'm not saying you can put effort forth and it still doesn't pay off, but it depends what your expectations are. When I look at my father's house, well, my home's bigger than his home, square foot wise and more modern technology involved in it. So we've kind of advanced from the... And you have central air and all the comforts that your father didn't have cable TV and... Correct. Everything else. Exactly. A bigger square footage and all that kind of stuff. So isn't that as a result of capitalism? I mean, I don't understand the socialism stuff. So I'm supposed to be upset with the kid, as I say, that gave up their 20s that I went to high school with to become a doctor and they're making a bunch of money who gave up their 20s. I should say, oh, you've got to take money from them and give it to the person over here who didn't make that sacrifice. I think that's lunacy, don't you? Yeah, that's communism. Yeah, I mean, that person gave up 10 years of their life. They delayed a lot of their life under a lot of stress to become a surgeon or whatever. It's a redistribution of wealth, and that actor's name popped into my mind. Robert De Niro is upset with Zohran Mamdani's new tax structure for the wealthy. Well, isn't he the one always bitching about Trump? Yes, how ironic. Yeah. I mean, these are the people that's... It's ridiculous what's going on. Zohran Mamdani is going after the savings of the wealthy. I don't know if it's an unrealized capital gains tax or whatever. But Robert De Niro made the comment. He said, I'm not acting any longer, and I'm depending on my savings. You know, that's my main income. I don't know why he's going anywhere. He's such a flaming lib. All of a sudden, he isn't when they want to take his money and redistribute it. That's when they wake up. Right. I mean, that's a craziness. So, but I will say this, as I've said numerous times, just from a personal standpoint, I'm not optimistic about the economy because of this situation in the Middle East. I mean, inflation is way too high. And it continues to grow. And I think we have serious problems in the country for everybody when it comes to the cost of energy. Your electric bill is doubled. Gas is at four bucks a gallon. Insurance is groceries are too high. All of this stuff because of inflation. Are you optimistic? Here's what I'm not optimistic about is we had a president who had the smartest man of the world, Elon Musk. when he came into office on his second term, uncover all the fraud, and Trump did nothing, and the Republicans did nothing. And Elon Musk said, you know, if you would just eliminate the fraud that's going out, there would be no need for an income tax, let alone property taxes. And that was a big disappointment that Trump didn't follow through on that, and the Republicans...

As usual, didn't do anything. I have no respect for politicians. Right, because the Democrats did everything they could do to destroy Elon Musk, including, remember, they were firebomb in his dealerships and his cars and customers. They were out to destroy him. They weren't embracing him by saying, thank God you've uncovered all of this waste. They were persecuting him. Hey, thank you. Good talking with you. Have a great day. Appreciate it. Callers Line. I just want to correct something from the last caller, who, by the way, you know, unlike like G2, he's critical. He's not a critical thinker, but he is critical. complains a lot. But anyhow, he said, oh, the Trump and Elon Musk had this opportunity to do everything, but they didn't do anything. And again, he's just, you know, disappointed in them. Well, I just looked it up, and he said the Trump administration and the State Department terminated over 5,300 U.S.AID grants and contracts. roughly $27 billion because of fraud. And because, you know, that's why the Democrats don't have any money for the midterms, by the way. Roughly 900 programs. You know what? You're missing really what he said. And with all due respect, some of that was overturned by federal judges as well. But the reality was his point remains his point, which is true. I'm not here as a Trump cheerleader. Elon Musk was doing a great job with Doge to uncover all this ridiculous spending that was put out there if you were paying attention. The mainstream media didn't cover it at all. They didn't cover it. And all the Democrats were opposed to what Elon Musk was doing. They firebombed his dealership. They terrorized his customers by scratching their cars. They did everything they could. to destroy him. They called him names and he ended up leaving. The Democrats got their way. He had to leave and go back and address his business and the whole Doge thing came to a screaming halt. Right. And you can't.

blame the Republicans for that? Yes, I can. I can blame both the Republicans and the Democrats, because first of all, the Democrats are opposed to it, but you didn't see a lot of outcry from all the Republicans. Too many Republicans, I agree with Pleschnik, too many Republicans are rhinos or Democrats. They're not true Republicans. Many of them didn't do a damn thing, and they were silent about it all. So, yeah, I do blame the Republicans haven't got the SAVE Act passed. They haven't taken a lot of Trump's executive orders. His executive orders can be overturned if you get a Democrat president. Why haven't the Republicans who've been in charge been able to do more to make codify this stuff in law? I do blame them. Well, I mean, I agree. I agree. There's some holdovers from the old guard, especially in the Senate. that, you know, won't bring it up and won't vote on it and won't push it through. And so they, and say they don't have the votes and that type of thing. And maybe they even do. But, you know, there's a protocol on how it has to be done. And I totally agree with you. I think you and I are actually on the same page. But my point is it is very hard to blame, and maybe because he's the head guy. blame Trump for everything when he really tries, and like he said, he got Elon Musk on board, and they were doing... But even he ended up... And then the Democrats come in, and they, their judges, stop it, the politicians, stop it. their violent... Well, where was the fight, though? Where was the fight from Trump and the Republicans against all of that? Where was the fire in the belly? I mean, I thought everything Elon Musk was doing and was exposing. As an American, you should have sat back and said, this is ridiculous, money being taken from me or putting this country in debt for this ridiculous spending, and there should have been an outcry for anybody that was opposed to it. But it was crickets. It was absolute crickets. Well, you know, you've got, the problem is a lot of the mainstream media is not going to, it's not going to let the masses know what's going on. All they're going to do is report on how bad Elon Musk is. And, you know, here you had Democrats, you had liberals in that who love the electric cars. Everybody needs to have an electric car. But as soon as Elon Musk looks under, you know, under the hood, to keep a car analogy, going as far as all this money, which goes to these ridiculous things all over the world, basically just kickbacks for the Democratic Party, all of a sudden he's getting attacked.

violently, he's getting attacked. The dealerships, the people who own his cars are. But I would go one step further and say, take a look at the state of Ohio. And look at all of the, look at how the state of Ohio is screwing local communities by not giving their government money back, their local government fund money back. And all of the things that the Republicans did, and they're in charge in Ohio. And it seems like you don't see. fiscal soundness there either. Well, you know, this idea that if you're a Republican, listen, I'm as a conservative you should believe in lower taxes, more efficient governments. and stopping no waste. Police in Canton are working to determine how two women died following an apartment fire on Sunday. 42-year-old Katina Spells and 31-year-old Courtney Yeager were found inside the apartment, but it's not believed that the women died from the fire, but by other means due to their injuries. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptor is out of the hospital. A week after the 80-year-old was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Toledo. Captor was a passenger in the vehicle driven by a campaign staffer. The two were on their way to church. When they were hit by another vehicle, the driver of that car fled the scene. And then you've got the libs because they would change, and it used to be liberal, then it was progressive, and they keep changing the name so that you can't peg them down. But you're right. There's so many disappointing Republicans that, you know, say they're going to do this and that when they get in and then they lose their nerve. and they don't, or they're easily persuaded, and it's really hard. But I don't like it when it always falls onto Trump, where he throws it out there. He tries to pave the way, and whether it's judges, whether it's... This one or that one, I think it was the other day, that same caller had asked, well, where's our, I thought we were all going to get $2,000 checks. Where's our check? Well, it's not, and he's critical, but it's not critical thinking because why didn't we get the checks? Because we didn't have the tariffs. They eliminated the tariffs. They fought against the tariffs. The judges said you can't do the tariffs. So there goes our checks. I mean, Trump comes up with these things, and he tries, and I'm not saying he's totally blameless for everything, but he's trying more than any other president has ever really tried to think outside the box and correct the ship. So I give him credit for that. Yeah, there's a lot to be corrected. It's certainly, don't misunderstand me, the Democrats don't even give you an option.

I mean, if anybody thinks that Sherrod Brown is the answer. Here's Sherrod Brown running commercials as a Democrat do. If I'm elected, this is what I'm going to do. You've been there for 30 years, for God's sakes. I mean, are you kidding me? You supported everything Joe Biden believed in, these open borders and all of this nonsense that's going on. I mean, I will not vote. I won't vote for a Democrat socialist who thinks. that socialism is the answer to anything. I won't vote for a Democrat who thinks you can wish yourself a woman or men can have babies or you can't define what a woman is or that you've got to teach kids about all this transgenderism stuff. I won't vote for Democrats based on their social agenda. I won't vote for them based on their economic agenda. They're not even an option to me. I'm just looking for a Ron DeSantis, quite frankly, that's just a smart guy. Listen, I thought Trump was going in the right direction. I don't agree with this war situation. We shall see where this goes. But I'm going to tell you something. If he loses the midterms, he has no one to blame but himself. And I'm dead serious about that. I hope that isn't the case. I certainly... As frustrated as I can get with him on this one particular issue, I certainly will vote for the Republican in the midterms. But if people go, well, it's the economy stupid and are upset with Trump and vote for these crazy-ass Democrats, he has no one to blame but himself for the decisions he's made, no one. And if we go down that road and with the Democratic socialism, if you don't have the Democrats, the tried and true, blue, Blue Dot, whatever they are, Democrats, stand up to the Democratic Socialists. And we go down that road. We have nobody to blame but ourselves. There you go. That is, that's scary. We have too many, as you said, we love our immigrants. We love, especially our political immigrants. But they're running away from that. You've got to come here illegally. Listen, I don't know if climate change is fact or fiction. I'm not a scientist to say one way or the other. We can all have opinions, but I'm not watching the glaciers. I don't see if they're melting or not. I don't know. is the honest answer if climate change is fact or fiction. But the reality is there's a hell of a lot more people using population-wise, using Lake Mead for water. And I think that attributes to it as well. But there's a major drought going on out there. Right. And the earlier caller mentioned the, I don't know, I'm not sure of the pronunciation. I think it's an aquifer. There's like this big underground lake under like, I think Texas and maybe.

three other states where they're drawing water from. But it took, like, hundreds of years to build up this water table, but now they're drawing it out so fast that it can't replenish itself. So I think there's going to be, you know, a little bit of a problem out there. But, yeah, and then in, I think it's Puerto Rico, I heard today, It's the driest year in 120 years. I don't really believe in climate change, except for the fact that, as G2 said, you know, thank God for climate change. If it wasn't for climate change, we'd be under a mile of ice right now. It's just like I could give you an opinion. Oh, I don't buy into it or whatever. But I don't know for certain. I mean, in all reality, I can't tell you for certain whether it takes a lot smarter minds to say, hey, this is what's going on as far as the weather patterns and the climate and this is melting and whatever. Is there a possibility? Well, of course there is. I mean, I don't know. Modern scientific history, what, two, 300 years, maybe? The world is billions and billions of years old. It's gone through so many cycles. I know they could check the, they'll drill through the ice cores. All right, why did I lose him?

I don't know why I lost him, but I did lose him. I apologize. Call me back. I didn't do anything. You just faded away. But here's what can cause climate change. Are you ready for this? When you start cutting down all the forests and when you go out and they cut the trees down to make lumber, or to make paper or whatever, they plan another tree. I mean, that's what the forestry companies do that are harvesting this stuff for wood. They plan another tree. So I'm cool with that. But if you rip that area down because you want to put in a data center and you clear all that land, that causes climate change. Because now the process of the trees and those 100 acres is now vanished and gone. Like they say, what do they say the lungs of earth, the rainforest? As you continue to see that be destroyed and cut down, they say, well, that's the lungs of earth. that there's ramifications on doing that kind of stuff well take a look everybody's for development that kind of stuff but when you're saying well we're going to go build we're going to go buy a hundred acres or whatever it used to be a farm and used to have trees and all this and we're going to rip everything down we're going to put some concrete down and put a building here well that would seem to me attribute more to any type of climate change than than anything else you're on here

Again, I think you guys are, I have to agree with that lady. I read the Democrats again. You know, I mean, this is, you know, we should just have a one party. Excuse me, let me introduce you. I'm sorry. JJ the Trumpster, formerly known as JJ the Liberal, until he had his lobotomy. That's a, that's my doctor, Jekyll to Mr. Hyde, so that he's only around when, you know, and now and then. I got to make sure that I get everything squared away when I go down and vote in November. But I just want to let the lady know I agree with her and that, you know, that, you know, The White House and the Senate and the House and a supermajority in the Senate or in the Supreme Court, the Democrats are still, you know, causing us problems. The EO also recommends childhood vaccine schedules for the measles, mumps, and rebella or MMR be split into three separate shots. Leading medical groups are pushing back on the recommendations. Iran is refusing to back. down on U.S. demands to reopen the Strait of Hormuz listing its demands that include lifting the U.S. naval blockade and paying reparations. At the White House, President Trump insists the strait is open. The only one that has control of the Strait of Hormuz right now is the United States Navy. We have a blockade that's been infallible. The president now says Iran should pay reparations for the war and decades of terrorist acts. Following a contentious confirmation hearing a narrow vote over the weekend, Todd Blanche was sworn in as permanent attorney general. Todd Blanche, who was acting AG, is a former personal attorney of President Trump. In California, the Ohio Raptor Center says the injured female bald eagle, presumed to be Jackie, has died. Dr. Anthony Fauci privately discussed concerns about COVID-19 MRNA vaccines for pregnant women in January 2021, including questions about fever after a second dose and the theoretical risk of miscarriage during the first trimester. According to newly released text messages obtained from his government issued cell phone, the exchange involved Anthony Fauci, then Center of Disease Control Prevention Director, Dr. Rochelle Wollinsky, and Dr. Vivek Ramaswamy Murthy, who would later become the former President Joe Biden's Surgeon General. Anthony Fauci said because many people experience significance. related symptoms and fever after a second dose, that reaction theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the first trimester, according to the messages shown on page two of documents released Monday by Senator Ron Johnson. Isn't this interesting, huh? The text chain released today could have, could have an immediate impact on public health. and the principle of informed consent. So what they did is so now they went back and they looked at Anthony Fauci's cell phone and his messages that he had on his cell phone. The release question why only three contacts were listed by name while all other text messages are identified only with phone numbers among the 34,000 text messages and 522 voicemails. It is too early to determine whether any data has been deleted. To protect the privacy of individuals with whom Dr. Anthony Fauci communicated, as well as personal messages unrelated to public health issues, he was involved in, it will take time to carefully review the large volume of information the senators received. Chairman Johnson said the staffs will work diligently and to release relevant information to the public as soon as possible. This Murthy initially asked whether there was any reason to favor vaccination earlier or later in pregnancy and whether officials had seen evidence of adverse outcomes among pregnant women would already been vaccinated. Anthony Fauci's Director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the time responded that there were no data or theoretical reasons to believe vaccinations earlier in pregnancy should be preferred over later. vaccinations. He also said concerns that an MRNA vaccine could alter a person's genes were a misconception. Later that evening, however, Anthony Fauci mentioned an evidence of issues with the second shot for pregnant women. Milinski replied that it was definitely a good point, especially after dose two. Well, that's true, but it's not just treasury oil prices, rising treasury yields are rising too. Because despite the fact that war said, he's going to keep interest rates steady and not raise them. Investors are saying that with Congress spending like drunken sailors, we're demanding higher yields. And now gold and precious metals are starting to rise. Gold bottomed out at 4,000 an ounce, not that long ago, closed today at almost 4,500 ounce. And gold is a hedge against inflation. With interest rates going up, people normally... sell gold, and buy treasuries. They're not doing that. They're buying treasuries, and they're buying gold at the same time. Now, also, we're in end of corporate earnings season. I'll explain to your audience. Every quarter, every three months, corporations file the reports how much profit they made or they lost money, how much they lost. Well, corporate earnings for the last second quarter of the year have been good. It's not just tech, Ron, that's driving the stock market. We have a broad-based stock market where not just the S&P 500, but medium-sized companies are reporting great earnings. That's very good for the stock market.

and 20 of those plants are working through license renewals, Ron. They're going through hoops of bureaucratic red tape to get these renewals when we need as much energy to bring prices down as possible. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. Like, that's why I go back and emphasize Obama regulated the coal-powered plants out of business and then insisted they'd be destroyed so they couldn't be turned back on. What a disaster that guy was. What an absolute disaster. But when you talk about Jimmy Carter, and I hate to admit that you and I were around during that time, he was a disaster. Energy was a disaster. Interest rates were a disaster. The economy was terrible. And when Reagan got elected, he really did turn things around. I mean, he really, really changed things for the better. Well, you know, 95% of the uranium fleet plans to run these plants for 80 years or more. And there are also three shuttered reactors that will be reopened and brought back online, the Palisades in Michigan, three. Island in Pennsylvania and Dwayne Arnold in Iowa. And all three produced 2.3 gigawatts between them. Now, in addition, Trump just signed four executive orders last year aimed at taking America's nuclear capacity from 100 gigawatts to 400 gigawatts by 2050. That's a quadrupling. Ron, that's because our Republican Congress, who's in the back pockets of the fossil fuel industry. And the fossil fuel industry view alternative energy is competition. Well, I'm going to tell you why that is with that in mind. It's because all these people that were these green energy people like Bill Gates and that kind of stuff did a 180 when they needed all this power for their AI centers. I have invested a lot of money in uranium mining stocks. Yeah. But I have a very high risk tolerance level. and I analyze all the stocks individually, there's probably nobody listening in your audience that's fortunate enough to have a brokerage account, a Roth IRA, a traditional IRA, a rollover, et cetera. They should not be investing in uranium mining companies. They are just way too volatile. Right. Ten years ago, they were high, and they've been doing nothing. but going down ever since. And we don't know who's going to be take over in the midterms. But go ahead and ask your question on Trump because I had wanted to mention about all these Democrats electing socialists now. Can you imagine that? What do you make of that? Well, what I make of that is that they're economic and investment functional alerts. They don't have a clue. how socialism has destroyed the economy of every country that it's ever been tried. Remember, we have had several conversations. I read Das Kapital by Karl Marx when I was 21 years old, and he probably did the best job of analyzing Britain's economy, which was the leading economy in the world at that time. But the year 1867, he published Das Kapital, the United States, England, European countries, France shattered all previous records. You have to have capitalism, or you're going to have widespread poverty. That's what I make of it. And you know, Ron, I had told you a while back when Roe Conno was talking about running for president. Well, you know, normally I might have voted for Will Connor because he wants to get corporate PAC money out of politics. He wants to limit everything to know more than, I think, 2,500 per individual contributing to campaigns. And he's also against Israel. He doesn't think we should be giving billions and tens of billions of dollars of Israel. He's like Marjorie Taylor Greene. That's our money. It should stay here in this country to benefit the American people. But Ron, Roe-Connor is a socialist, and I would never vote for a socialist. There you go. But I think there's better stuff out there now that I switch to. It's more durable. And those would be ceramic sprays. You're telling me that's better than... That stuff was great. Police in Canton are working to determine how two women died following an apartment fire on Sunday. 42-year-old Katina Spells and 31-year-old Courtney Yeager were found inside the apartment, but it's not believed that the women died from the fire, but by other means due to their injuries. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptor is out of the hospital. A week after the 80-year-old was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Toledo. Captor was a passenger in the vehicle driven by a campaign staffer. The two were on their way to church. When they were hit by another vehicle, the driver of that car fled the scene. I remember, I got to tell this story. So I was, wasn't I had Morgan Furniture Broadcasting back then? Yep. And he came in and he says, hey, try this on your car. He gave me a water bottle that was filled with this orange stuff. And so. I had this, and then I started using it, and it's, what do you, you put it on? How do you describe how you apply it? Sprits it on, wipe it with a cloth. 30 seconds later, wipe it off. Good to go. It's like washing your windows. Yeah. And it makes it like just an incredible shine. Would you not agree? Yes. I mean, so how did you discover this stuff? So he gave it to me in a water bottle. And so I used it and I ran out. And do you know I've been waiting here? Listen to this. I've been waiting here for you to call, hoping that you didn't die. Right. I guess it's like, hope he's still on the planet and waiting for you to call. And the chemical guys, that's the name brand. You can get it from Amazon or. I usually buy it in the gallon, and that's why you got it. I bought a, had a gallon, you got it in a water bottle or, you know, just a spray bottle. But it's incredibly easy to use. I use, if you go Google up ceramic, spray sealant or spray detailer, ceramic detail or spray, wait a minute, I'm going to go ahead.

You'll find a bunch of them. I use a yellow one now. It's a ceramic versus the one, the orange one is a polymer. It's just different chemicals. They both work really, really good. I think the ceramics have a little bit better durability. But I do my car's truck twice a year, spring and fall. That's it. And it's incredibly easy to use, isn't it? It's unbelievable. Well, you know, if I get like a new lawnmower or I take my lawnmower apart, I got John Deere at 2000 model, the deck is absolutely perfect, the top of the deck. Because when I take it off to, you know, the sharp, you know, clean it out or sharpen the blades or whatever, boom, lots off there, clean it up, spray it, it's spring, fall, good to go, and it's still shiny 20 years later. So can you believe I can remember that? I mean, that's amazing that you do remember it. I remember that. But that stuff is so good. That's why you remember it. Right. And I said, I know that was from Ray the truck driver. Right. Here's my story of Ray the truck driver, folks. Ray the truck driver, it was, I always learned when he was working, Ray would tell me when there was a recession or going to be a recession. So all of you stock guys listening, Ray would call me and say, he'd look at the load board. When he was driving truck, he'd say, the load board's good or the load board was bad. It was always an indication how the economy was doing. Basically, where people buying stuff and were stores ordering stuff. So he would tip me off over what's going to be happening economically by looking at the load board. This guy was right. on the economy what was happening before you would read about it on CNBC. So then he would be doing his own. He's one of those guys that would buy stocks on his own and did and really did really pretty good on his own just because. I don't even know how to describe it just because he seemed smart at it, okay? So he would drive truck, he would look at the load board, he would buy stocks, and he made money. And then when I'd be on location, we don't do remotes anymore, but when I'd be on location down at Morgan Furniture, he would stop by. And he was always like a really interesting guy and a really smart guy. And he hands me this bottle of stuff. And he says, hey, try this on your car, man. It's really going to be something. And it doesn't take very much at all. So finally, I ran out of this stuff. And I'm saying, I know that's from Ray. I can remember that. And that's why I've been waiting for him to call. Then one day Ray calls me on the air, and he says, I quit. I quit driving truck. And I remember this conversation. I said, well, why did you do that? And he said to me, well, because I could just see, I would be sleeping in that truck somewhere and just die.

Maybe a week before somebody finds me or whatever. And I just didn't want to live that way anymore. And how much they wanted, how many miles I would have to drive just to cover insurance. It was ridiculous, right? Remember that? Correct. That's good. You do remember. You were paying attention. Yeah, yeah. Those were some great calls, man. I mean, that was some great stuff. You were always right on the economy. Your stocks were really great picks. Your car stuff was second to none. And then when you decided, and literally this just happened one day when you said, I've had enough. I'm not going to die in this truck. What were you 65 at the time or 62? No, I was actually 62. Right. And remember you had mathematically done how much your health care was going to cost you if you kept your income as high as it was, and how many miles you'd have to drive just to have health care per month. It was beneficial. Yeah, it was $1,200 a month wrong. Yeah, it was beneficial to make less money. That was the Obamacare. Yeah, 1,200. Yeah. Yeah. And so he said, there's no point in me. Busting my ass, I should make less money, and my health care play the Obamacare game. And that was really, it was very smart. It was very smart. Well, I mean, at some point, it just gets to me. I mean, I feel bad for a lot of these, you know, family-owned businesses that have to go out. I think John Arnold was, you know, talking about, what is it, $2,500 a month? Yeah. How can afford that? Yeah. That's crazy. Like even like my eye doctor was telling me what she has to pay for her family. It's even more than that. I mean, just per month. And that's just to have insurance. That's just every month. And they call it the Affordable Care Act. Affordable. What a crock of crap. Talk about affordability. That ain't it. Anyway, here's the reason for my call. Before you get to the reason. You were talking about climate change. Before you get to that, I got another question for you. I'm going to get to that. So what are your thoughts? Were there as many foreign truck drivers then that, first of all, getting a CDL is not an easy thing to get. So now we have all these foreigners. They can't speak English or read the road signs. That is deeply disturbing to me. Now, can you talk about that because you were driving for all those years? How can you function if you can't read the signs and speak English? And I think Ray was the first one who told me this, too, which I remember a lot now. He said, that's why a lot of signs have pictures on them for people that can't read. Correct. Exactly.

It started when I was doing it. I've been retired for, I don't know, maybe eight years, eight, nine years now. But it had started a little bit, and the biggest issue we had was Canada at that time. Just about the time I was leaving, the Mexican trucks, they could come across the border in El Paso, Laredo and stuff like that. But they had like an international zone. It was like, you know, 10 miles from the border. Okay. The American drivers couldn't go outside that 10 miles. Well, now they can't. Now, here's another story, Ray told me. Is this accurate or not? And race says, you know, a lot of times there'll be two of these guys coming in from Mexico. Yep. Or actually, back then, back then it was more of the Middle Easterners coming from Canada. And they would have like a hole in the truck floor, right? You can call your truck stop right over here in the TA or the Petro and ask for the service department and they'll tell you. So listen to this. They wouldn't work on the truck. This is all... I remember all of this stuff. I mean, this would be going on during the commercial breaks. So I'd be saying, so you would have two guys. One would drive the required hours, and then he would go sleep, and the other one would drive. In the meantime, though, if they had to crap, they would crap, they had a hole in the floor of the truck, and they would crap right out the floor of the truck, and it would go all underneath the truck. doing their business and it was just disgusting and these they refused to work on their trucks because of that right yep you can call your truck stop and ask them that's where they're repair shop ask them they'll tell you Yeah, when I hit the drive shaft, obviously the drive spray, you can imagine what happens at that point. It just goes everywhere. Crazy. Here's what I call. Yeah. You had a little short thing there you were talking about climate change. Yeah. And you could. You could not just limit it to climate change, listen to anything that the government elected officials, Republicans, Democrats, senators, Congress people, whatever. Whatever it is, they're championing. You know, for some of them, it's climate change, for others, health insurance, whatever. Why is it, Ron, that every time they find this issue to campaign on and crusade on, I should say mostly, it's campaign and mostly crusade, is there is always billions and billions and billions of dollars of government programs to work on it? Always. I don't care what the issue is.

For example, Obamacare at the time there were like 30 million people who didn't have health insurance. But instead of figuring out a way to help those 30 million people get some kind of coverage, they changed the entire thing for 330 million people in the country. Yeah. Stupid. Right? Yeah. Absolutely stupid. So my health insurance in a period, it went from 300 a month to 600 to 900 to 900 to 1,200, and I said, that's it, I'm done. Right. It's nuts. I'm working for the insurance company and everybody else. Yeah, you said. Everybody else gets, you know how you, you want a business. You pay your bills, you pay this, you pay that guy, the repair bill, the cost bill, the insurance guy below, the fuel guy. Okay, I get what's, there's nothing left after. I said, okay, that's enough for me. Can you? Why is it? that Bernie Sanders had been carpet on this for 30 years. He almost, one of the guys that I remember, you had a guy one time that said, you know, these politicians should be like a NASCAR drivers and have all the little patches for all their sponsors on there. That was a great idea. I remember that call too. He said that when you get up to speak as a politician, you should have like on your suit all the patches like an NASCAR guy of everybody that's giving you money so we can just look at it as you're talking. Exactly. They're right. But all of these programs have billions of, that's how the government grows wrong. They keep finding things. On the local level, it's the same thing. I hear you talking about a, you know, a week or two ago about your property, you broke down the property taxes. Yeah. You didn't have that 20, your father didn't have all that. Nope. Mine didn't either. you know, coming out of your property taxes. Yeah. It just goes on and on and on and on. Government, they just figure out more ways to spend money, hire more people, grow the government, and collect more money from everybody else. I haven't called much, and part of the reason is extreme disappointment. I'm severely, and I've been disappointed for a number of years, you know, when Republicans get in power, they can't seem to govern. Right. They talk about everything. They don't get anything done. If Trump haven't done executive orders, I can't think of a damn thing the Republican Congress and Senate have passed. They're too similar. They're too similar, right?

The Democrats and Republicans, because, right, and why haven't the Republicans caught... Well, the Democrats, hey, Ron, I disagree there. The Democrats, they figure out a way to get it done. Yeah. They can get the legislation passed. I'm not saying it's good legislation. It's stupid a lot of times, like the Affordable Care Act, you know, some of this other nonsense, but they do get it done. All the things that they run on, they can't seem to get it done. And it's just, I mean, Mike DeWine is really a disappointment. Yes. On the Haitian thing, okay, they had an earthquake 15 years ago, and they come up with a temporary thing. What is the definition of temporary? It doesn't mean forever. Right. But apparently now it does. Why? They get better money from the federal government to help take care of them. Plus, the COVID thing where they just lie to you. You can go all the way. They've been lying to us forever. You can go all the way back to Agent Orange, the Vietnam War. They've been lying to this right. And that's why, you know, at 72, I just kind of checked out a lot of it. I can't blame you. I'm tired of hearing it. Everything's a lie. I don't trust anything they say? I don't trust anything they say. No, I really don't. I really don't. Talk as cheap deeds are precious. I'm a total agreement. Before I go, because I know you've got a break in a couple of minutes. Now, wait a minute, because I don't want you to go. Hold on. Hold on. Let me say this right. I'm 72. I'll forget if you don't let me say it. I used to deliver to this plant and to that plant, and now you go by there, and the plant's closed. There's nothing but weeds growing in a parking lot. Absolutely. I made a living for 20-something years on my auto parts, for Ford, Chrysler, General Motors. Yeah. And 16 of the 20 places I used to go are all gone. 16 out of 20. And I did this weekly every week for 20 years. Sixteen of those plants, Twinsburg, up there, Brook Park, over there, the Cleveland Engine Plant. Just right on down the line, Norfolk, Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia, Claycomo, which is in Kansas City area, Belvedere, Illinois, they reopened that one, though. Benton, Missouri, there were Chrysler plants where they made the Chrysler vans, all gone. I mean... Kind of like the, they're gone to the point where Walton Hills Ford up there right by the racetrack in Northfield area. They're gone to the point where kind of like the coal plants were on. They took them out and bulldozed them. That's how gone they were. Unbelievable. Did you ever hit a deer when you were in the truck? No. Well, you're lucky. I almost did. One time I was actually in Canada, and I don't know how to do survive. I was coming back. I'm on the interstate. I'm passing another truck, so I'm in the left lane. He's in the right, and this deer jumped out, and somehow the smartest deer I ever saw Ron, he just turned sideways, parallel to both trailers, and both of us went by, and he ran off. Unbelievable. Buckiest deer ever. Think how difficult it is today, Ray, with the cost of diesel and insurance and everything to make it as an independent trucker. Think of that. Oh, it's got to be impossible. When you're in the truck, you have two different bosses. One is the customer service, which means get there, and the other is the safety department. Don't bring any rules. Right. And you remember you would say... It's almost... You've got two masters and one of them is going to be managing. And sometimes one of the hardest things for a truck driver to do is find a place to park when he reaches that time limit because everything's full. What are you supposed to do? And the reason that is because of stupid government people. Ron, we don't like the smartest people. When they make rules, they make rules that they sound good. But they're not practical because 80% of the businesses in the U.S. open up and say 6, 7 o'clock in the morning. Well, the truck starts when the business does. Opens. Yeah. But when they put the time limit on the truck 14 hours later, say 6 o'clock you got up and going, 8 o'clock at night, 80% of the trucks you have to find a place to park. Well, guess what? There ain't anywhere to park. And that was a problem when I was there. It's been a problem since, you know, 1995. Did you ever go to Chicago? You ever have to go to Chicago? Oh, yes. Is it a nightmare? Yes or no? Absolutely. It is, if they can squeeze the car, you're on the interstay going 60 miles an hour, 50 miles an hour, is there 15 feet in between you and the car in front of you?

or a truck. And the car's 12 feet long, so there's a foot and a half front and back, boom, they're in there. All right, I got a break. You've got to call me more often. Call me again.
