279 segmentsGood morning and welcome to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna show. All right, before we get to anything, we've got a lot to get to, including where does the bail money come when 50 people who are agitating and resisting arrest and being arrested. for shutting down access in Madison. Where does that money come from? Where does that bail money come from? Channel 27 was reporting that some 50 people now, so beyond 32, but 50 have been bailed out from the Dane County Jail. We'll get to that since everyone's asking the question, but it's actually pretty easy to answer that question. Before we get to anything, though, here's your word to win. Bonus, B-O-N-U-S. Bonus. That is... the word for the inflation vacation contest. You could win $1,000. Go to our website, W-I-B-A.com, or the I-HeartRadio app, and that is how you play. You could win. This is the last day of this contest. So at 5 o'clock today, there's going to be no more word to win $1,000. You have until 55 minutes past this hour, so 9.55 to play. We'll call you if you win. We won't leave messages. Don't screen your calls. I hope you win. Now, the good news, you're like, oh, boo, I haven't won yet. Well, you've got until 5 o'clock today. The bad news is this contest is ending at 5 o'clock today. The good news is we have a brand new contest starting on Monday. Yeah. This one's going to be the IHeart Radio Music Festival Flyaway contest, which not only gets you to show, but also money. So it's money plus tickets to a show, the I Heart Radio Music Festival. But we'll tell you all the details about that coming up on Monday. Tune in Bright and Early to Sean and Robin for information on that. All right. So we never leave you hanging too long without a contest, right? We're good like that because we love you. Actually, we want you to also visit our website so you can see all the cool stuff we put up on our website. All right. So let's get into. the bailing out of the agitators. We have a professional agitation class that is funded by, as I detailed yesterday, the federal government, the state government and local government. That's Freedom, Inc. is funded by... state government, largely federal government and local government. So Freedom Inc. is organizing the agitation. Freedom, Inc., which pays its board of directors, six figures, all except one, get a six-figure salary, and the director of Freedom, Inc. knocks back about 320 grand a year. This is all taxpayer stuff. Federal government, state government, local government, to the tune of $5 million since 2020. What do they do? Nothing. They agitate. They are professional agitators. They claim to be a nonprofit, an NGO, but they are professional agitators. So I'm on Libs of TikTok's X account today. This is Kyrae Chix X account, Libs of TikTok. And she hosts the Channel 27 video of Freedom, Inc. agitating in front of the Dane County Jail.
to bail out the 50 people who were arrested by Madison Police. Madison Police, of course, sent in by Sotcher Rhodes-Conway after she invited the occupation in the first place, but then it got politically inconvenient for her. So the same cop she was bashing seat she sends in just creates more agitation opportunities for Freedom, Inc. We are paying Freedom, Inc. to agitate. Furthermore, we are paying Mika Glass, the independent police monitor, to agitate as well. Today, she is on record as saying she's not backing off her burn this effing city down comment. She's not backing off at all. She's being paid to agitate. She's being paid to organize political actions against people in the city, notably the police department in the city. But who's bailing out? All of the people. Well, that's Freedom Inc. plus the 350 project. The 350 bail fund project is an organization that receives significant support from Freedom, Inc. Freedom, Young, Gifted and Black Coalition, Madison General Defense Committee of the IW, International Workers of the World, the Madison Urban Ministry National Lawyers Guild, plus others. Now. Most of these organizations are nonprofit and they receive grants from the city of Madison, from the state of Wisconsin, from the federal government. Now, the National Lawyers Guild doesn't, but the other ones either funneled through direct access like Madison Urban Ministry or backdoor access like young, gifted and talented. But this is taxpayer money. You want to know who's bailing out the agitators? The taxpayers are bailing out the agitators. That's who's doing it. So when Lips of TikTok says, who's funding this? I don't know. Look it up. You can look all of this stuff up. This is so frustrating to me. Who's paying for it? We are. How do you know I looked it up? It has never been easier to look stuff up than it is today. Just look it up. Where do you look it up? I used Grock. You could use chat GPT. Claude. Copilot. It doesn't matter. Gemini, you can look this stuff up. So who is funding the bailout? Well, Freedom, Inc. We know they're supported by the taxpayers. They wouldn't exist but for the taxpayers. Young Gifted and Black Coalition. That sets Brandy Grayson's org. She's also got urban triage. She's got a couple of scam NGOs going. She's knocking back quite a bit of money as well. Madison General Defense Committee of the IWW, the Madison Area Urban Ministry, again, they're getting taxpayer grants almost directly, plus they're getting United Way money. National Lawyers Guild, this is a left-wing organization significantly supported by Code Pink and the Sunrise Movement. So, admittedly, they're not getting taxpayer money. But the lion's share of the dollars are coming through grant monies that go to these organizations. And the grant monies come largely from the taxpayers. So that's who's doing this. You want to know who's doing this? The Madison Media could be honest about this, but they won't be. Everybody else can look it up for themselves because it's outrageous. It's absolutely outrageous. Can't be outraged if you don't know.
Can you imagine if Channel 27 said the 350 bail fund and Freedom Inc. substantially supported by taxpayer funded grants are the organizations, the NGOs that are bailing these people out. The same people who are harassing businesses, stopping police from responding to emergency calls, occupying spaces, you know, inviting homeless vagrants. into the area to occupy permanently a five block downtown square. No, but they won't do it. They leave it to you to look up and then everyone's just too lazy, I guess, to look it up, including a national account that's pretty sharp like lives of TikTok. We'll take a quick break. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. So. Let's talk a little bit about the politics that are going on right now. The primary is August 11th. When is that? Well, that's Tuesday. Today is the last day of early voting. For the Democrats. Well, in Madison, I mean, they'll probably have locations open tomorrow. They typically do. But generally speaking across the state of Wisconsin, today is the last day of early voting. Over 200,000 ballots have already been cast. The election isn't officially until Tuesday. Brian Schimming is standing by from the Republican Party of Wisconsin. And the question remains because we don't have late polling. We've got polling that's about a week old. And, you know, that's a lifetime in politics, honestly. Is it possible that the not ready for primetime exposure, Francesca Hong, has been damaged enough that David Crowley could pull this off? Yeah, I think it's pretty tough. We actually will see one more poll today that group from Up North News or whatever it's called that did the poll the day before the Marquette poll. I think they were in the field two days ago or yesterday and the day before. And they're going to report today. So they're going to kind of. Maybe, maybe give a taste of what's going on, but let's say they do, and it doesn't show that David Crowley's made any moves. I mean, he needs to have gotten her down into single digits by now to have a chance. I was at an event for Paul Farrell last night in Waukesha, very, very prominent. One of the most prominent Milwaukee Democrats was there, and I said, do you guys think you have enough to ease out Crowley supporter? And I said, do you guys think? You have enough time? And he said, I don't know. And he's hoping. But they, I mean, now, so you need to have seen some movement. Well, pre-primary polling often is not the greatest to start with. But the one thing that's been consistent in every poll we have seen is that she's way ahead. And then Crowley gets back in. And as I mentioned last week, if I were him, I would have said, you know what? I want five to ten million to get back in.
I want the governor's open endorsement, which he does now have the governor's traveling with him. In fact, the governor is essentially the substitute candidate because nobody knows who David Crowley is out of Milwaukee Metro. Nobody knows the guy. So. The governor is now flying around the state doing live appearances with David Crowley. Well, a lot of candidates, as you know, will do a last, you know, several-day tour. They get the obligatory attention from local television and radio stations. Well, you've got the governor with you. They're going to quote the governor. And the governor was getting quoted yesterday. He was blasting Hong for her Thanksgiving obsession. and how she's always spending all their time on Twitter. So now, essentially, the governor effectively is Hong's opponent. He doesn't seem to be getting the attention that she is getting. Correct. Sorry, I had to cough there. He doesn't seem to be getting the attention she's getting. It is being reported he's taking shots at her on the Thanksgiving thing. By the way, she doesn't like any holiday. She doesn't like Valentine's Day. Yeah, there is no holiday she likes. Fourth of July. She doesn't like Thanksgiving. Christmas triggers her. I mean, for heaven's sake, she's bothered by her son and her husband's whiteness. So, I mean, there's all kinds of wild stuff that's going out about her. But it's in the, it's, it's circulating where in the, in the realm we consume, not in the realm independence and Democrats consume by and large. Tony Evers, however, is, but while he's being quoted, he's not saying, and therefore vote for my man, David Crowley here. I mean, you know, there was a lot on the, On the Bernie Sanders stuff, he didn't want to publicly endorse her, but our revolution is her organizing structure. His organization is her organizing structure. So I'm not sure what, you know, I'm not sure what to make of this. You know, Bernie Sanders doesn't want to endorse her. Why? She's probably going to win, or is that a tell? It's hard to know. Yeah, when Bernie Sanders won't endorse somebody, and he endorses crazy people all the time. So how crazy do you have to be? But his group is her campaign. His group, his PAC, is functionally her organizing structure. I mean, Our Revolution endorsed fans. That's Bernie Sanders organization called Our Revolution. It's run by Bernie Sanders. They endorsed her in June of 2026. They've been, you know, out there with the very least social media presence, just beating the drum, beaten the streets for Francesca Hong. And so Bernie Sanders doesn't want to make a commitment. That's odd. That is odd. It is odd. And I think it was horrifying for our governor to see the DSA-supported person win the Michigan-U.S. Senate primary a couple of days ago because he doesn't want to be the sequel.
to that story, that's for sure. So he's traveling the stage. That's part of the answer, Brian, because Crowley is betting on this, on this thing. The students are on, are not on campus yet. The socialists have more, you know, have more enthusiasm among the student population. Also, the students aren't being polled, though. It's not like we're getting a ton of student polling either. But he says, you know, his campaign is saying, well, it tends to be older. People who turn out, it tends to be the boomers. It tends to. And those people favored David Crowley in the multiple county executive races overwhelmingly. I mean, I think they're. I'm not sure if they're blowing sunshine up their skirts or whether or not, you know, Bernie Sanders, you know, not wanting to endorse her telegraphs that maybe she's got some weaknesses we're not noticing. I mean, beyond the fact that we're all making fun of her. I'm calling her mouse say Hong for heaven's sake. I don't know why that didn't occur to me like three weeks ago. But, you know, I mean, so we're all making fun of her. But is there a weakness in her campaign that we're not seeing that Bernie Sanders noticed? And that could overwhelm what seems to be the multiple weaknesses in Crowley. Yeah, it could be. You know, look, you know, people are, it's even though the elections upon us, we're all too close to it. People are watching the brewers and doing other such things. I mean, I was doing an interview down off of Williamson the other day, and I said, look, you know, I'm standing in probably a five to ten mile radius of all of her major support. It's largely focused in Madison, Calder Royce doesn't seem to be breaking off much there. I think the... strategy of using Tony Evers, he other than Tammy Baldwin is the most prominent Democrat in the state. And so, especially in the smaller markets in Green Bay, Wausau, LaCross, O'Claire, Dulouse, Superior. The fact that the governor shows up with Crowley will be helpful to him, but does it really put a dent in what's going to happen in Madison? And can Crowley run up any numbers in Milwaukee? And as was mentioned before, You have a lot of people who voted before five or six days ago. Yes. Hands of thousands of companies. 100. Over 170,000. 10 days ago was 150. Five days ago, it was almost 190,000. So we're talking over at this point, I haven't checked today, but over 200,000 ballots have already been cast. And most of them are going to be for the Democrats because it's not super competitive on the Republican side. You look at my ballot, my ballot has not a single competitive Republican race. I mean, there's Tom Tiffany. There's the lieutenant governor's race. Okay. But everything else is pretty much open. The Republicans don't have primaries in the assembly. They don't have a primary in the Senate. There's not even an opponent in the sheriff's race. So, you know, folks, in my part of the.
of the area or just most of them are probably not even paying attention to to tuesday Yeah, that's true. And the question is, even for the people on the late vote, even with the governor, they're still going to split. She still has the leftist base of the party. So I haven't talked to a Democrat who's confident that Crowley can catch up. And interestingly, Crowley, you know, when he was with the governor the other day of Milwaukee or wherever he was, and a reporter asks him, oh, does the governor's endorsement come too late? And Crowley kind of stumbles around on his answer rather than advertising the fact that he's got one of the top Democrats in the state pushing him. And now Evers is just getting flat out critical of Hong, someone who after Tuesday, he may have to endorse some campaign for it. So that's how screwed up is his. I think Tammy and Mark Pocan stay out because they share a base. with Hong and they're afraid of her if either one of them had come in Mark Pocan or Tammy Baldwin. Tony Evers, you know, the radicals, the DSA types on the Democrat side, don't like Tony Evers. You know, in fact, they call him the establishment Democrat. They called Crowley the establishment Democrat yesterday, and he actually said that was racist to call him an establishment Democrat. Yeah, you tried to play the race card on it. But, you know, that's dumb. First off, it doesn't land. It's silly. And secondly, if you were going to play that card, you should have been playing it. three months ago. He hasn't, I mean, he's not played the card enough to say, hey, how come, what happened to the black man in this race? He didn't do what would have tweaked the same kind of radical enthusiasm that she's got. And I don't know why he didn't do it, but he didn't. And so let me ask you about that $5 to $10 million. You said, if I'm Crowley, I want $5 to $10 million to get, did he get it? Did he get that kind of money? Not that we've seen. We've seen some outside money come in for Crowley. He's been able to raise decent money, but it is not overwhelming. It's not going to overwhelm her poll results, especially in the last week or 10 days. And that was the point I made last night to this. Damn, I was like, you know, this isn't two months ago. This is the final week. This is the final 10 days. So if you're going to put on a hard push and not only a win the undecided's that allegedly are in the 30s, but also frankly move some of the other people that may have been committed to Mandela or to Kelda or to Joel, if you're going to move those people, you've got to move them now, not two months ago, not one month ago now. Well, you've got to have the oomph to do that. You need the body. And then SCIU comes out endorses her the other day.
So it's like, hello, did somebody at the governor's office call SEIU call the union and go, yeah, no. Don't be doing that. We're trying to get this other thing done. Apparently, somebody forgot to make that call. They're pissed because they had a lock on, there's a, there's a backstory on SCIU. I think they're pissed because they had a lock on a contract that would have allowed backdoor unionization of home health care workers, and that whole thing got blown up. I think they're mad at Tony Evers for that one. I think Tony Evers could not have twisted their arm on that because he allowed the contract to get blown up that was going to benefit them financially. a whole bunch. That's a whole other story. I've actually talked about that on the program. If Tammy Baldwin came out today and that she hasn't, I think is more of a tell than Bernie Sanders not wanting to commit. I think Bernie Sanders wants to keep being Uncle Bernie, maybe more than anything. Tammy Baldwin a week ago, maybe, certainly two weeks ago could have changed the direction of the race had she come out and endorsed Crowley. It's interesting. The New York Times this morning runs a story, I'm quoting the story. In her final push, less than a week before the primary on Tuesday, Ms. Hong, a Democrat socialist, has struggled to explain stances that many Wisconsinites would consider offbeat, inexplicable, or even disqualifying at a time when many Democrat voters are just tuning into the campaign, and she's hoping to solidify or lead in the polls. And the headline, by the way, on that time story is a Democrat socialist disparaged Thanksgiving. Will voters forgive her? That should come out. New York Times is not widely read here in the state of Wisconsin. And that headlines, it's not in the Wisconsin State Journal. It's not in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. It's not in any of the Gannett clones across the state of Wisconsin. If that headline. had come out a week ago in all of the state papers, and it was leading the news in Madison, Wisconsin, or in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, or in Green Bay, maybe. But the New York Times... The funny line in the story, again, the Times story this morning, was a spokesman for David Crowley, Eddie Vale, talking about Ong. And he's quoted saying, quote, if you can't handle a simple CNN interview talking about Thanksgiving, how can you possibly make it through a general election, unquote? So, I mean, they're open. And the governors essentially said the same thing. Yeah. And they're basically using Tom Tiffany's talking points to try to get her late in the game. Well, we'll see folks. I told the Democrat last night, the RPW, we have a full-time opera research guy on for the first time ever. Actually, we've kept them on for the whole cycle.
But I said, you guys are saving me money on opposition research because you're doing all the digging on her. And they're not. They're not, you know, afraid to abuse it these days. I mean, when you've got the governor of the state coming out and saying you can't figure out what you're talking about and literally saying of Hong that he didn't think she could win, you know, with five days to go, that's a pretty bad indictment. He seems to be repeating it. I mean, it's less news maybe in Madison or Milwaukee, although it has been news here. But he does a quote like that in O'Clair or Wauser or La Crosse or wherever, and it's going to get noticed. The question is. But Brian, is the Kelder Royce enthusiast going to say, oh, I better vote for Crowley? He's nothing like her. Is the Joel Brennan person who's now not even going to bother to vote or the Mandela person who now isn't even going to bother to vote? Or the Sarah Rodriguez person who's now not even going to bother to vote? Are they, I mean, those are low, low propensity voters and that seems to be who they're targeting. Well, and I said to the same person last night, I said, you know, when I teach workshops about doing campaigns, I always say the only finite thing in a campaign, it's not money, it's not literature, it's not bumper stickers, it's not yard signs, it's not four bites, it's time. That's the only finite thing in a political campaign is time, and the crowly people and the governor are running out of it. Thanks for jumping on the show. Brian, I appreciate it today. Have a great weekend. You too. And we'll take a break. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. And I'm pleased to welcome back Josh Hammer. Josh is from Front Page Mag, Front Page Magazine. He's also the host of the Josh Hammer Show. He's a Schillman fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center. He joins me on the program to talk about a concept you have named Third Worldism. This is better, I think, than just the pejorative socialist or communist. They're third worldists. And I think you do a nice job in your latest piece laying this out. We can actually begin with Wisconsin. Francesca Hong is called for abolishing police. She is called for defunding police, defund then abolish. She is called for decarceration, also an abolishment of prisons. And this is what leads to what you call this barbarism of third worldism.
Yeah, so listen, I think there are different ways to skin a cat. There are different labels that we can try to fix to describe this utter lunacy, this craziness that we're currently seeing from the DSA, which is taking over the Democratic Party in real time. I think it's fair to call it socialism. I mean, at least to an extent, a lot of them actually self-identify us, this guy who just won the primary in Michigan. Seventh congressional district, who is one of the co-founders of the pro-Chinese Party's sunrise movement. He actually literally said, calling you socials. I'm a socialist. I mean, we have Zormem Dani in New York City who's literally quoting Karl Marx in the Communist Manifesto to each according to his ability, each according to his need. So I definitely don't object to the term socialism, but I think there's something broader going on here. It's not just... that they are social. It's not just that they are quoting Karl Marx. Fundamentally, to me, the big dividing line is between civilization and barbarism. That is the biggest dividing line that I see in American politics, in Western politics. And each and every way you look at the issues, that's where these people come down. They come down on the side of barbarism and on the side of civilization. So, for instance, When it comes to prisons, when it comes to law enforcement policing, they are emphatically on the side of criminals, not on the side of victims of crime. When it comes to illegal immigration, they are on the side of legal aliens, not on the victims of a legal alien crime. whether or not those are people whose jobs are being lost, whose wages are being lost, or who, God forbid, are being harmed in a physical violence way. In foreign policy, people side with the jihadists, with the Islamists, with Hamas and the Mother Brotherhood over places like Israel. And even in the United States, they side with places like Russia and China. They are here and everywhere siding with the force of barbarism over civilization. If you want to kind of go back, someone that gets laundered into... the American political theme by the Frankfurt School in the 1960s. People like Mark Houston and Dornow was kind of the explosion of critical theory. People like Angela Davis helped popularize it within a leftist American academia. And then Barack Obama starts injecting some of this a little bit. into his political rhetoric. He certainly was surrounded by a lot of folks himself who were deeply influenced by this notion that America and Europe that the West is responsible for the world's sins. But now you're seeing you really take into the next level. And it's evil. It's toxic. The silver lining that presents Republicans, I think, with a very nice opportunity if they are to go on the offensive against this pro-barbarism, third world, this push. That's how I see it basically, yeah. If they actually capture the reality of this, because, and I've talked about this as well, we've called every liberal idea socialist. We've done that for 30 years. Everything's socialist. Oh, my gosh, you're a socialist. Bill Clinton was a socialist. Everybody's a socialist. Look at Joe Manchin. He's being a socialist. And so we have, the conservatives have, I think, reduce the hit of that.
category, socialist. I go back to Barack Obama. When Barack Obama decided to redefine socialism as fairness, pay your fair share, that's when, you know, and everybody was not permitted to criticize Barack Obama. You criticized Barack Obama. That was the first inclination we got that the moment you criticized a black man, that made you a racist. And a whole bunch of people in power shut up because of that. And so he was able to, in really soft language, recast barbarism as fairness. And, you know, when you add to it critical theory and you twist everything inside out and intersectionality and you twist everything inside out, I'm not surprised that you actually have smart people with college degrees, high amounts of academic achievement, making the case. for the third world, which is basically death over life. It is tearing things down rather than building things. And I don't, I guess I'm trying to figure out when Republicans are going to kind of get their heads out of their backsides. Well, it's a fair question. Look, I mean, Trump is not pulling punches at this point of calling them socialists with increasing vociferousness and punctual flare, we might say, on true social and in his speeches and so forth. I think that the way to win these races is November for the GOP is to nationalize a lot of these races. I mean, the Abu al-Saiya phenomenon in Michigan cannot be viewed in isolation from the Zohran Mamdani phenomenon in New York City. It's part of it is part of a broader trend. And right there in Wisconsin and Francesca Hong, this is the same story as the rise of people like Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria O'Coddy Cres. It's all connected. It's all connected because these people. They're taking over America, but they've already succeeded, I would argue, in taking over their own party. And some people will have referred to this as a hostile takeover. It's actually not how I see it. I don't see that as a hostile takeover of the Democratic Party, frankly, from what where I said, it looks to me like people like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries let them in through the front door, open the Bill Gates wide over, and said, ah, we're a big tent. We're a big tent party. Let's have all these conversations. So this is the heart and soul. of the Democratic Party. But, you know, barnacles of the 1990s, Clinton era establishment people like Chuck Schumer are trying to essentially just be eaten last, but they will be eaten. There's no doubt about that because the revolution always eats its own, as we know. But, yeah, I mean, I want to see more Republicans on the campaign trail hitting this over and over and over again. And if they do so, and especially if they connected to the all-important issues of the economy and say these people want to make everything more expensive, I mean, has socialism ever resulted in?
anything other than a supply shortage and in just economic catastrophe. I mean, the answer is no. I mean, here they're everywhere, always. Everyone's got the answer in their pocket. They've all got a smartphone. They've all got a chatbot. You can look this up. Nobody does. That's the thing. And, you know, the Republicans who are maybe not that well versed in history, because let's face it, most Americans aren't, also have that option as well. You can educate yourself on this. You know, as you were talking, I keep going back to Barack Obama's decision and his team's decision to micro-target. And instead of making broad appeal messages, maybe his rhetoric was broad appeal after he won. But it turned into, let's go after constituencies, using catalyst, using different tools that allowed them to jettison the idea that they needed to be a broad appeal party. And they were winning elections on micro-constituencies. They were winning elections with GOTV. And it was working really well. So no wonder the socialist thought they had a place. That's, you know, when you basically say, okay, who's our girl? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She's dumber than a boxer rocks. Maybe not. But she sounds like she is. I bet we can get her elected because we're going to micro target and we're going to pull her over the finish line. And in a Democratic parliamentary, that's not that hard. The thing that scared me is that they may actually start winning broader elections. That's my concern. They're going to start winning. Whether we start talking about it now, tomorrow, we were talking about it 10 years. They're going to start winning elections and eventually we're going to have to contend with this in a way that's not just looking at New York City and feeling bad for those people. or, you know, if things go sideways in Wisconsin, feeling bad for us, eventually this is going to have to, it's going to need a national answer. That's emphatically correct. And I, listen, I fear that some of these, some more these candidates are going to start winning. I'm not necessarily saying that Francesca Hong is going to win the race there in Wisconsin. I'm not necessarily saying that as I will play, I will win his race in Michigan. So more of these people are going to start winning big races. I think the notion that this cancer is confined to New York City is just fallacy, and it's resting on one's laurels. So, listen, there are a lot of people out there who simply are ignorant of history. I think that educating in basic history is a decent... way to go. I mean, I mean, literally pulling up images of the red lines in Moscow, circa, circa, circa 1950s. I mean, things like that, I think, could potentially go a long way when it comes to moderate, centrist, middle-of-the-road voters. And you connect that also to the issue of Islam. I mean, Zohran Mamdani al-Saya is very much part of a so-called red-green alliance between Islamism and communism. I mean, I think that it's totally fair game. to talk about whether or not we want Dearborn Michigan to be the exemplar of the paradigm by which suburban America will expand in the 21st century. And, I mean, saw me up for, no, I don't want that. I think most American voters don't want that. So, yeah, there's a lot of opportunity here, a lot. The prison stuff is lunacy. The ice border stuff is absolutely lunacy. Everywhere you look, it's lunacy. But ultimately, I do think that James Carville had it right.
back in 1990s when he said that it's the economy stupid. Most elections are economy elections. There are exceptions. The 2002 midterms after 9-11 was a national security election. So there are some exceptions, but for the most part, American elections are economy elections, and that's really the sweet spot there. So if Republicans can... come out of this August recess and go into that final two-month sprint in September and October and connect this whole DSA trend to just economic ruination, immiseration, mass poverty and suffering. I think that's a ticket to keeping both houses come January. Yeah, and I think you can actually talk about the cultural stuff too, and you should because there is a constituency. on the right that wants you to talk about that. There's a whole bunch of people who are motivated by that. But generally speaking, we have 7% in Wisconsin. 7% that's what we're fighting over. We're fighting over 7% of people. Those are the people who are the swing voters. Those are the independence. Those are right-leaning independents who might sit on their hands or left-leaning independents who might sit on their hands. That's who we're fighting over. And you had mentioned the Muslim Islam thing. Francesca Hong tangentially, not quite as aggressively as Zohran Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. But she, I mean, she authored the BDS, boycott, divest, sanction. legislation in Wisconsin. She's a chief author of that. She is part of the Red Green Alliance, if not as explicitly as someone like Zohran Mamdani. But remember, she went on Hasan Piker's podcast. So this guy is out there saying 9-11 was our fault. We deserved it. You know, he's an open apologist for Hamas. So yeah, she's part of it too. Now that's, I don't think that moves the needle that much, but people ought to be concerned. at what is being planned for New York is what would happen in Wisconsin, were she to win? Yeah, I forgot actually that Francesca Hong went on Hasan Piker's podcast. So, yeah, I mean, well said, that's those, those dots. absolutely end up connecting, connecting each other. Listen, I am a culture warrior at heart. I mean, I'm the kind of guy who gets most riled up about border and law enforcement and all those sorts of issues. But I do think that the polling shows that most voters are ultimately economics first. The key insight here is that it's all part of the same equation. You know, you don't really have to... separates out one issue from the other. It all comes back to this paradigmatic divide between civilization and barbarism, first worldism versus third worldism. Do you think that America is a fundamentally good thing? Really? I mean, that's actually where we're at right now. That's really, really where we're at. I mean, I look at the DSA platform, the college who abolish the standard on the path of Supreme Court, abolish the total college. I mean, can these people...
actually in good faith put their hand on the Bible and take the oath of office that they solemnly swear to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States so help me God. I mean, the answer is no. They obviously cannot take that oath in good faith because they want to blow it off. They want to burn it down. So that's the message. That would be a great question to ask the candidates, wouldn't it? Francesca Hong, could you swear on the Bible? The Josh Hammer Show is available for anyone who would like to listen. You can go to the Salem News Channel.com and you can find Josh's show there. Also, frontpage mag.com. That's front page magazine. Josh, thank you very much for joining me today. My pleasure. Thank you. And we will take a break on the Vicki McKenna Show. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. We're going to get into President Trump's announcement that he is. forwarded two executive orders on birthright citizenship. We'll get into that. And also what happens now that Anthony Fauci has been held in contempt? What happens now? Do we know? What are the shenanigans? That can go into that. But here's your word to win $1,000, as I mentioned. This is going to be our last day of this contest. We're kicking off a new contest next week. But this is the last day of the inflation vacation contest. So this hour's word is check. C-H-E-C-K, check. Go to W-I-B-A.com or the I-HartRadio app. and enter the keyword check. All right. You have until 55 minutes past the hour to play. We will call you if you win. We do not leave messages. So do not screen your calls because you'll lose if you're playing the contest. All right. I wanted to get to this story and then we'll get into some of the other things on the program. We just had an all-day hearing in the United States Senate. on Medicaid, an all-day hearing. And what did we learn in the all-day hearing? We learned there are no cuts to Medicaid. Let me reiterate that. There are no cuts to Medicaid. Medicaid increased its spending again, or I should say, Congress increased Medicaid spending again. by 10%. 10%. There is no cut to Medicaid. One more time. Say it with me. There is no cut to Medicaid. Medicaid spending increased by 10%. You heard Ron Johnson on this program talk specifically about it. At length, it increased by 10%. If you didn't want to watch the entire hearing, all you had to do is listen to a 15-minute segment on my program to listen to Ron Johnson. Explain how the last bill increased Medicaid spending by 10%.
What does Channel 3 generate as a headline? Today. Man drives wheelchair from Fox Valley to State Capitol highlighting Medicaid cuts. He didn't get a Medicaid cut. There weren't Medicaid cuts. And what does the article talk about? Oh, a trillion dollars in Medicaid cuts. It didn't happen. This man in a wheelchair did not see a Medicaid cut. There was fraud that was zeroed out, but Medicaid spending still went up by 10%. Let me say that again. There was fraud that was zeroed out, but Medicaid spending still went up by 10%. We eliminated the hospices in California that were fake, that were 9, 10, 20 of them run out of a single apartment with the people running them, driving McLaren's and Lamborghinis. we eliminated their ability to get Medicaid money. The Somali Learing Center fraud in Minnesota, we eliminated their ability to get Medicaid money. We eliminated it. We identified fraudsters. Now, we haven't identified all the fraudsters. But the ones that have been identified are no longer able to apply and get. dollars from Medicaid so that they can run fake organizations. Didn't stop the fraud. Didn't put any new mechanisms in place that functionally make it harder to commit fraud. It's still very easy to commit fraud. But Medicaid spending increased by 10%. And here's a headline. I sent this to Ron Johnson, and I said, this is what you're up against. You held an all-day hearing. He went on my program. He went on national news. And he talked about this. And this is the kind of headline you get from Channel 3 in Madison. Did you guys think you should maybe look it up? Maybe? This is my... That gripes me. When we complain about the media, it's because they don't even try. They don't even try. Medicaid in Wisconsin, I went over this a couple of days ago, but Medicaid in Wisconsin should not be almost what it was during COVID. But it is. We went from 770,000 people on Medicaid in Wisconsin. to 1.3 million people today. At the height of COVID, it was 1.7 million. Our economy has rebounded. Where's the extra million people? There's fraud in the system. And yet, Congress still increased spending by 10%. So on, I mean, on nobody's ledger, is there a cut? But here's Channel 3. Why? Because the Democrats are using Francesca Hong, David Crowley, all the Democrats, Tammy Baldwin, they're all using Medicaid cuts. Did you think maybe they're full of horse-esque excrement? No.
This is why we complain, because it's easy to find the truth. You can put this, I did this. I put this article from Channel 3, which is so pathetic. I put it into grok. Are there Medicaid cuts? No. Medicaid spending increased. That man in the wheelchair? He's not going to see his Medicaid cut. It's not going to get cut. I'm not sure he's going to get any more out of the process because a whole bunch of people are laying claim to it through frauds and scams. The whole point of reining in the frauds and the scams was to help guys like that didn't stop Channel 3. We'll take a quick break. And welcome back to the program. It's Vicki McKenna Show. I need to correct myself. Channel 27 generated that story about Medicaid. I apologize to Channel 3. It was Channel 27. Channel 27, WKOW who did that. My deepest apologies to Channel 3. Channel 27 was the propagandist who promoted that complete BS story about Medicaid cuts that didn't happen. All right, Mike Puglies is standing by. We got Trump with a couple of executive orders on birthright citizenship. We've got Anthony Fauci and contempt. We've got a few things that we can dive into legally here, Mike. But here's where I want to start. It has nothing to do with legality. I'm looking at, oh, this poll of Hispanic people or that poll of whoever is saying, you know, people are mad about gas prices. Inflation is the number one issue. And I'm thinking to myself if the Republicans would just act like they were all on the same team. and would actually do things to get things done? I don't think we'd be seeing the crap that we're seeing right now because all is the Democrats are melting down into this socialist mess. You got Republicans like Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins and, you know, and Bill Cassidy and John Cornyn, who are just flipping the middle finger to the entire country thinking they're going to dunk on Trump. So whether it's Todd Blanche, whether it's refusal to do anything to pass the Save Act, actually stay at work and properly filibuster. Nothing. Zip, not a nothing. So polling just goes out and says, well, what do you think about how things are going? Well, things suck. Yes. Who always gets blamed when things suck? The party and power gets blamed when things suck. And when you've got a media that is running interference for the socialists, you know, the Republicans are their own worst enemies on this thing, I think. We need people that has guts to get in the trenches and fight for us. You know, for so long we believed in the GOP. We believed in our Republican Party. But you've got guys like John Thune now that won't get off their butt and won't get out there and do and get the job done. And you can only say why. Are they worried about the backlash? It's somehow that their little feudal system in their own little world is going to turn topsy-turvy and somehow they're going to get knocked out. And that's what they're worried about. Well, if that's the problem, then we really need to look at their patriotism. Do they truly want America first? Does it go deeper than...
We hate Donald Trump. He's to go deeper than that, that they wanted things. They didn't care who was in power so long as their own little system is in play and they can keep it up. You know, one thing I want to say about Lindsey Graham, and I butted heads with Lindsey Graham personally on a few things. But for all in all, he's a pretty good guy. When he died, I looked at his net worth that was published. It was about $2 million. And, yeah, that's a lot of money. But not. I like to look at Markovsky's. I like to look at Susan Collins. What are they worth right now? You know, it's going to be well in advance of $2 million. And that kind of shows you where the intent is, where the heart is. Nobody can say Lindsey Graham's heart wasn't in this country, protecting this country. No one can even defy that. And I wish the Republicans, you're right, I wish the Republicans would join back together, get around the banner. and put America first like Donald Trump is trying to do, and is putting his butt on the line, putting his finances on the line, putting his reputation on the line, and fighting for this country. We don't have that fight in the GOP. And then they wonder why we don't want to show up for them at voting time. They want to wonder why. We can whip the midterms. We can absolutely. kill the midterms. You're right. If we get out there and we support the president, oh, gas prices are high. Hey, no, let's talk about that Iran was an inch away from annihilating Israel. There's nothing out in my mind that they were close to having the nuke. And we want to complain about $3.50 a gallon? You know, when the whole world is going to go crazy? We won't touch the filibuster for reasons that supposedly are about, I don't know, patriotism or some such BS like that. Here's what we could have done. We could have had individual appropriation bills and not had omnibus and not had continuing resolutions and not had kick the can. We could have actualized Doge. We could have actualized the almost trillion dollars that was identified by Doge. We could have cut. We could have actually reinforced. verification requirements for entitlement programs like Medicaid, like welfare, like SNAP. We could have done that. We could have gotten the SAVE Act pass. We could have done a whole bunch of things if the Republicans had just said, okay, the Democrats are going to blow up the filibuster. We better do it first. And they might get thrown out on their ear for doing it, right? The Democrats got thrown out on their ear for pulling the demon pass stunt to get Obamacare done through reconciliation. They got thrown out in the next election. And they said, okay, but we still got Obamacare. They didn't repeal it. They did absolutely nothing except continue to expand the entitlement. That was the whole goal. It was one team, one dream for the Democrats back in 2010 when they passed Obamacare. Not so much now. And that's the really frustrating thing. So where is a birthright citizenship law? You've got Brandon Gill out there saying, I got an idea. We're going to say that if you're here on birth tourism, you're an enemy of this country. You are going to be essentially considered in the same realm as terrorists. We're not going to allow it to happen. You will not get citizenship. Pass that bill, get it to the Senate, pull a simple majority vote and get it signed. You could have done this over and over. Look what Ron DeSantis did in Florida.
Ron DeSantis took an intractable establishment rhino legislature and turned them into a conservative powerhouse so that they have likely protected the Republican majority going forward in the next two election cycles. That's not what we're doing here. People are now constantly looking at the price of gas at the pump and not realizing why it's happening. And it goes even further, how uninformed, and you're right, because the fake media protection, our citizens are, and what is occurring. I'm watching this... dumping of documents out regarding the secret investigation of Donald Trump with the misspelled name of Oxford, a lady on this investigation that James Comey and Ray had going on to do what, undermine the presidency, take out the presidency. And what are we hearing from the GOP right now, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins? I don't want Todd Blanche's AG because he may weaponize the DOJ. By God, weaponizing, if that's what it takes to save our democracy in our republic, weaponize and go after these people. You're talking about traitors that are disingenuous to the American people and trying to overturn a properly elected president. And what do we hear? Oh, gee, J6, you know, those grandparents that walked through that Capitol building that day, they're terrorists, they're wrong. You know, but let's overlook Dr. Anthony Fauci, who actually killed millions of people because of his lies to the American people. Well, he killed millions of people because he greased the skids for gain and function research. He killed millions of people, I mean, just quite literally did, not just by lying. And writes about it. Yeah, and bragged about it. So here, that's the problem is weaponized the DOJ. It's already weaponized. It was weaponized under Barack Obama. It was weaponized under Joe Biden. It's weaponized. I have a friend right now who is facing 10 felony counts, you know, for representing President Trump in the 2020 election because the DOJ was weaponized. I mean, for crying out loud, it's that kind of garbage. All right. I want to talk about a couple of things. Birthright citizenship EOs. They're going to be challenged in court, right? So, you know, the likelihood President Trump will be successful is probably slim. And in the meantime, it'll take, what, a year before this makes its way, if it ever does to the United States Supreme Court, which will probably kick it because they've already answered the question. He's keeping it before the midterms, too. So he's keeping it in the public mind of what's going on and why we need to Save America Act, why it's so important. And actually, I think he might gain some ground on this birthright tourism. I think he might win. That's actually a golden goose that might win favor of the American people, especially right now at midterms. And the Democrats are not sitting so well, not only that to take on the Trump agenda in the MAGA.
But they've got to take on the DSA. So they've got a problem. And Trump is really doing a good job now of really keeping this stuff in the forefront of what's occurring. Because American people, I think, are watching stuff like that and seeing it. You mean, people are making millions of dollars off of downloading kids in the U.S. And this idea of making it selective to get around the Supreme Court ruling of, you know, cartel members. uh felons violent felons who come here and and download a kid and call them a citizenship that those you know those are part of this this executive order i think people want this i think they're watching this and they're going to get uh get some steam behind him on that so it it may be it may be mostly politics uh it's good politics but it may be mostly politics maybe it survives court challenge But it is something that is putting pressure on those same Republicans who want to just sit on their hands and do nothing. All that Mike Lee and Ron Johnson and Rick Scott, all those guys are asking for is to take the filibuster and make it debate. Not have it be an automatic cloture vote. Make a debate. Make the Democrats offer up endless amendments. Make them do that over and over. Make them stay in session. Make them never go home for the weekend. Always have someone on guard and make it hurt. That's what they're saying. And the Republicans know that they also don't want to stay up late and get that done. All right. So I want to get quickly to Anthony Fauci before we run out of time. Anthony Fauci's been held in contempt. Yay! Now what? Now what, Mike? Well, it depends on if I hope Todd Blanche isn't a Pam Bondi 2.0, and I hope when he does get the nod, I hope he goes after him. That's what he did in this country is a total horrendous act. I mean, it's just horrible. And then, like I said, be the narcissist enough to even write about it, which tells you he thought he was home free. Trump wasn't going to become president. He was home free, and he covered for his, he did his job. He took Trump out. But what I think is going to ultimately happen? Nothing. I don't think they're going to be able to get him because of the consent charge based on the pardon. If I was, I have to put my legal hat on. If I was representing Anthony Fauci, I would probably argue that, yeah, he had a lot to lose. Because, one, the auto pins being challenged. So he was subjected to somewhat of a possible criminal indictment down the road. And also, you have these state AGs like Florida, you mentioned, that are going after him. So, yeah, I would have told Anthony Fauci, take the fifth all the way through. And so I kind of see that. I understand what their argument is that he received the pardon, and therefore he could not take the... take the fifth during his questioning in Congress. Right. You got four attorneys general. Four attorneys general are investigating him. So that's, you know, potential. Now, one thing I think they have a good argument on is where he made the opening statement. Was that a waiver and of itself? That has not been before the court yet. And I think that is a very good argument when he came out and made his little play of how he wants to talk, but he's not because he can't talk and all this other BS.
You know, I think that's viable for argument. Was that in and of itself a waiver of the Fifth Amendment, and therefore he's compelled to testify? Yeah. Now, that's a more interesting question, I think, because I think otherwise it does make sense that he, in fact, you know, I had Senator Ron Johnson on the program last week, who said pretty much the same thing. Well, it made sense for him to do it, whether it's frustrating as it was. But the fact that he made the statement in the beginning and it extended statement at that. So this is all in Todd Blanche's. This is all ultimately going to be on Todd Blanche's plate, assuming he remains Attorney General. Now, Trump doesn't, I mean, Trump can pull his nomination. Can he and just keep him as an interim attorney general? And then, you know, sort of pray that the Senate stays in Republican hands in 2020, 2026 in the midterms? Well, Bill Cassidy voted yes, right, just a few minutes ago. So I think that Todd Blanche is probably going to get the nod. I kind of see that Lisa Murkowski's and Susan Collins' efforts to block him is probably no use now that Bill Cassidy, which shocked me. I thought Bill Cassidy was going to be a hard. I hate Trump, no. But he did. He voted yes for Todd Blanche. So I think that you might see a tie. And then, of course, you know. JD Vance will come in there and break the tie. But I think Todd Blanche is going to get the nod. So then it's all on Todd Blanche. Then it's in his lap. Yep. Like it was in Pam Bondi's lap. So it's in his lap. So all of this, ultimately, who gets prosecuted, who gets investigated? And it's the midterms lap. Here's your mid-term control everything. Correct, correct. Mike Puglies, what a mess. All the Republicans had to do is just act like they're all on the same team. That's what the Democrats do. DSA, irrelevant to them. Right now, they don't like it as these DSA candidates are making their way through primaries. But eventually they will coalesce. It will be one team, one dream for them, right? It will be. And in the meantime, we still have people, but we still have people who have butt hurt after 2020. We still have Republicans with Trump but hurt after 2020 still writing columns about it. I mean, that's, that's us. Not them. They will be, they will be penning word salad, odes to the DSA if DSA candidates become their representatives. So. And let's say the right word, the communism. This DSA, it's fancy. We're communist and we're coming at you, America. We're going to, we're going to implode America. And that's what they're after. And we got to get serious. And what a gift to the Republicans and they can't even use it right now. Not at least, not the ones. in Congress. They're almost without the capability of using the gift that the Democrats are giving them through the promotion of all of these communists. Great to have you on the program, Mike. Thanks very much for joining me. Thank you so much, Vicki. All right. We'll take a break.
Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. And standing by is Lucas Weber from the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty. We talked some months ago about something that's called Act 247 in Wisconsin. And Act 247, which means nothing to anyone, means that the state of Wisconsin legislature against the prohibitions, the explicit prohibitions in the Wisconsin Constitution, permitted. online sports betting via apps, via phone apps. Not only allowed that to take place, but also then gave monopoly control over that process to Wisconsin tribes. Lucas Weber is standing by. You now have some clients. You are suing over this particular law as a violation of the Wisconsin Constitution. Explain what the problem is here. Yeah, so thank you for having me on the program. The people of Wisconsin in the early 1990s, in response to a rise in tribal gaming in our state, adopted an amendment to our Constitution that explicitly holds that says the legislature may not authorize gambling in any form. Article 4, Section 24 of our Constitution, it's plain as day. What the legislature did here is they passed a bill Act 247 that you just explained. that amends the definition of a bet to allow certain kinds of bets to be placed in Wisconsin as long as they're connecting to a server on tribal land and meet those requirements. That bill itself, Act 247, violates plainly the terms of Article 4 Section 24 because it's an authorization of a particular form of gambling. It's allowing you to place a bet. It just violates exactly what the Constitution says, and if they want to... do that. There's an easy way to do it. They just have to amend the Constitution first. And that's something they didn't do. They're trying to make an end run around our Constitution. And they can't do that. No, okay. So this constitutional amendment says there's explicit types of gambling we will permit the state lottery, bingo, raffles, paramutual betting. They seem to be trying to take the idea of online sports betting, which isn't even in this at all, which is a form of gambling and redefined it under the definition of the word bet. because some betting is allowed under this constitutional amendment. And it seems like they're trying to claim it's okay because it's just amending the gaming compact. It's not amending the Constitution illegally. We're just renegotiating a gaming compact using legislation. Exactly. That seems to be the argument they're making. And, you know, we think that just doesn't fly, that the Constitution is very clear here on that the legislature. The important thing here is this. The legislature has broad powers under our Constitution. They have the legislative power, right? The people in Wisconsin and statehood gave them all of the powers, the legislative powers that exist. What they did through this amendment in the early 90s was take away power from the legislature. They said, hey, you've got a lot of power, but you don't have this power.
And what the legislature did in passing Act 247, they said, nah, we do have that power. We're just going to do it anyways. And they passed it. And you can't do that. And that's what our lawsuit says. And we're asking a court to declare that the act is unconstitutional for that reason, among others. So here's a question I have for you. We have exclusive categories of gambling. State lottery, bingo, raffles, and paramutual betting. So betting on dog races, things like that. How did we get casino games? Yeah, so it's actually really interesting legal history here, but from statehood, basically, Wisconsin banned all forms of gambling. you know, the first 100 years of statehood, 110 years or so. Then there started to be amendments to allow things like charitable bingo, raffles, paramutual wagering, various constitutional amendments over the past, you know, 80 years or so that allowed this. And then in the late 1980s, there were a couple of court cases. where tribes wanted to offer casino gaming on their lands. And then there was the Federal Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, which basically said states, if you don't ban gambling, tribes are allowed to do it. So there was a court case in Wisconsin where the question was, you know, does Wisconsin ban gambling? What the court concluded there was that because Wisconsin allows some types of gambling, it doesn't outright ban gambling. So it would be allowed under... to have a gaming compact to do this, right? The people of Wisconsin responded to that with this constitutional amendment. The gaming compacts were later expanded, of course, and there was a couple of Wisconsin Supreme Court cases from the early 2000s. which basically said that the gaming compacts themselves, because they were entered into prior to this amendment, they could be amended to allow this stuff to happen, to allow some of these expanses to happen. But for something like placing a bet here in Wisconsin, you know, that's outside of tribal lands. That's on state land. So if you're going to decriminalize the placing of a bet here anywhere in the state of Wisconsin on a mobile device. that bill to do that would still violate the state constitution and the legislature can't do that. Let's just assume that there was no legal errors in the reasoning that allowed casino gambling in Wisconsin. It was done under the compact. And so it has to be done on tribal land. So this is the compact. It's a contract between the tribes and sovereign land. and the state of Wisconsin. Those are what the compacts are. And so in the compact, what is not in the compact? Mobile sports betting off tribal land. So I guess maybe the answer is you could always renegotiate the compact or you could change the constitution. But it doesn't seem like saying some guys sitting in the middle of a field, you know, waiting to take a shot at a turkey could bet on a football game on his phone.
That doesn't really seem like it falls under tribal gaming compact territory to me. Exactly. And, you know, that's federal law, you know, comes involved here. They will, you know, assuming the governor right now is engaged in these talks to amend the compact, to a law that's ongoing. If they do reach an agreement and try to amend the compact, that amendment itself would be presented to the Trump administration for reviews. So the secretary of the interior would have to approve that gaming compact amendment. So there are a couple other stages of review here, independent of our. litigation it seems to me they still couldn't say you can do it anywhere in wisconsin because right now you can you can place a bet online but you got to be in the parking lot of a gaming facility of a tribal gaming facility you have to connect to their servers physically at their facility And then you can place a bet in the book, right? You can't just say through a compact, it seems to me, at least I can't imagine the Secretary of the Interior would say there's a Bureau of Indian Affairs would agree to this, that anywhere in Wisconsin. Now, maybe Francesca Hong, who thinks the entire state is stolen land. Maybe she thinks differently, right? But we don't. We have treaties in place that say it's not stolen land. So even if the compact gets renegotiated, And the app-based gambling is expanded. Still doesn't seem to me like you can do it anywhere in Wisconsin. Like you can't be sitting in the Walmart parking lot, placing a bet. Exactly. Well, that's why they, that's why in their argument has been that they needed to amend state law to Act 247 to make that legal. And our argument in this lawsuit is, regardless of whether, you know, essentially the counterfeit would allow it or not, you can't pass that law to make it legal. Because when something was previously prohibited by law and now it's allowed, you've therefore authorized it and it violates the Constitution. If it stands, then other constitutional provisions and principles can be overridden by legislation as long as enough people and enough lobby is supported. And that's not how it works. We put things in the Constitution because there's a sense of permanence to them because they can't be easily overturned. You want to overturn it. Two successive sessions of the legislature, put the question to the voters. Ask the voters if they'd either like to overturn this amendment or expand it to include mobile gaming. There's another problem with mobile gaming, Lucas, and that is it's devastating. It isn't the same as the effort it takes to drive to the casino. That takes effort. It isn't the same as, you know, wasting 25 bucks on lottery tickets. This is wrecked, particularly young people, particularly young men, but it is wrecked.
their financial conditions. The organizations, the companies we're talking about here induce additional bets in ways that are, that are, what one could say would violate the principles of how you treat an addict. And that's not a small thing. No, and that's, you know, part of the reason why I'm sure the people of Wisconsin, you know, 30 years ago decided to put this in the Constitution. The legislature couldn't authorize this. So, you know, there are real public policy issues here that need to be addressed and simply, you know, ignoring the Constitution to pass a bill to give a monopoly to one specific group of people is a, is not a lot under our Constitution. And that's why we filed a lawsuit. So there's another thing. It's only the tribe. So Fanduel couldn't come in and draft kings couldn't come in. No, the 100% of the manipulation of people, you know, who are hooked on online betting, which, by the way, introduces people who would never gamble. They would never drive to a casino. But yet there it is on their phone. You know, that would be controlled by one entity. So there wouldn't even be competition. But here's the thing. Maybe Wisconsin wants it. I don't know. I don't. All right. I think it's terrible. But maybe people in Wisconsin want it. then have the legislature show all of the emails coming from regular people saying, you know, it would be nice is if I could place a bet on draft kings or I could place a bet on my phone. That would be nice. And then they could actually craft legislation that could say things like once somebody is tapped out, you cannot induce them to take out loans on their credit cards. You cannot induce them to take out second mortgages. You could put protections into place if you were careful about this. But they're not being careful and they're being unconstitutional. Exactly. And there was a question in the Marquette Law poll on this, and I think 64% of Wisconsinites opposed online sports betting. And it was a bipartisan cross-section, both parties opposed it. So an interesting public policy issue. And as you noted, this does only benefit one particular group of people. That is a separate claim, an equal protection claim that we are raising in our complaint. The bill creates an unconstitutional racial classification. conferring a benefit upon Indian tribes and their members alone to run these. And state governments, like the state of Wisconsin, doesn't have the constitutional authority to do that. And so we think it violates equal protection as well, independently of the ban on gambling. So those plans will be brought before a court, and we hope to get relief as soon as we can. So are we bringing this into federal court or is this going into state court? This is in state court. Yeah, these are state constitutional claims. Okay, so the equal protection claim is going to be a state constitutional claim. The anti-constitutional nature of the legislation is a state constitutional claim. I think the equal protection claim is interesting. It would seem to me if you are going to do this, you should allow other companies to come in and participate as well, which, by the way, the other companies said the same thing when they registered against this legislation. But let's ask us for a change.
And don't just, you know, get your palms greased by a lobbyist, which is what happened here. I think this was a voice vote, too. I don't even think they had a roll call vote, did they? I don't recall, actually. I don't think it was a roll call vote because nobody wanted to take claim of this particular piece of legislation. All right. So we're off to the races on this one. Of course, Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty. Lucas Weber, thanks so much. Thanks for having to Vicki. Great to have you. And we will have, take a quick break on the Vicki McKenna show. Welcome back to the program. Just a couple of minutes left before we head off to lunch. When we come back, we're going to talk about, well, politics, obviously. Francesca Hong, I guess she walks the talk. Well, in some ways. She introduced a proposal in, I believe it was April this year. to legalize prostitution in Wisconsin. Prior to that, she was part of an effort to recognize the Penhouse Pet of the Year and Porn Star during Holy Week. That person's now employed by her campaign. So that's what I mean, walk the talk. She wants to elevate pornography. And we'll talk more about that coming up on the program. We'll also get into those data centers. And when I say data center, I mean hyperscale. I don't mean something that's got servers in it and that's where your photos are stored in the cloud. Those things will fit in a closet. Those things would fit in my basement. I'm talking about hyperscales. I'm talking about the ones that are potentially going up in Verona, in DeForest, in Janesville, in Port Washington, in Kenosha, the ones that are eating Wisconsin. Who pays for the power? Well, right now, you're going to pay for the power. I'm going to pay for the power. So we need to talk about how we have this system in place that pretty much strips us of our ability to do anything about it. I mean, our system was not designed for deep-pocketed lobbyists to come and buy people off with NDAs. It wasn't designed for that. The PSC was not designed. to be the ultimate oversight, at least not in the way it is conceived of now and not in the way it's constructed now, the ultimate arbiter of whether or not we're getting screwed. We never anticipated this. So we don't have structures in place that protect we the people. So we're going to check in with Dan Connoodle on that. He's going to talk about that coming up on the program. Everybody have a great lunch. We'll see you back here on the Vicki McKenna show at right around 2 o'clock. Good afternoon and welcome to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. Last day of the inflation vacation slash sizzling summer cash contest.
And then on Monday, we're going to start a new contest, different contest. But here's your last chance to win $1,000. In this contest, you're going to enter the keyword, bank, B-A-N-K. There's your keyword. Bank, B-A-N-K, at NewsTalk1130.com, or W-I-B-A-D-com, or the I-HartRadio app. If you're listening to the show on the I-HartRadio app, The contest link is just a little bit down your screen. Scroll a little and you can enter. This is the first time you're playing the contest in this contest cycle. What? Should be playing this whole time. And we're, by the way, this is good until 255. You'll get another keyword at 3 o'clock. Well, just a little bit before 3 o'clock. But on Monday, on Monday, we're going to launch a new contest. This is going to be the IHeart Radio Music Festival contest coming up on Monday. And that means you're going to have a chance not only to win tickets to the IHeart Radio Music Festival. I haven't seen the lineup. Well, I've seen the lineup, but I can't remember the whole lineup. I know Kenny Chesney's going to be there. But also some muse is going to be there. Brandon, didn't I tell you who it was?
I totally forgot. I have to look it up again. But anyway, we've got, I don't know, 20, 30 acts, and you'll be able to see the show. Plus, we always give you money as well. So it's going to be like a cash plus concert contest. It'll be awesome. You'll love it. Hope you win. I had a friend of mine win this once. Said it was an awesome show. Anyway, so what are we going to get to on the program? Well, today is the last day of early voting. For most people. this is going to be in fact many people your early voting window has passed in my town is passed well it'll pass in an hour but I already voted so now and the only competition is on the on the Democrat side there really isn't a lot of competition on the Republican side right you might have something competitive in your particular district but But for the most part, it's Democrats, right? So early voting, in-person absentee, plus absentee balloting. It's pretty much closed off today. What's it look like right now? Because everything depends on whether or not you can overcome the early voting ballots on Tuesday, which is the primary. Well, folks. As of today, early voting has produced in the form of mail-in absentee ballots returned and in-person absentee ballots, a little north of 300,000 ballots already cast. 300,000 ballots. Can't get them back. They're cast. The Democrats are wondering now how many of the 300,000 ballots were marked for Francesca Hong or anyone other than David Crowley. And the answer to that question is a lot, a lot, because 171,000 of those ballots came in before Crowley even got back into the race. So the answer is a lot. So what are the Democrats doing? This is fun. It's just entertaining to watch. This week we saw Tony Evers say Francesca Hong couldn't win. Yesterday, he rolled his eyes when asked about her idiotic tweet to ban Thanksgiving. Come on, man. Did his best Joe Biden. You had Bernie Sanders, whose own organization. is the campaign organization, one of the main campaign organizations for Francesca Hong, pretend like he didn't know what was going on in Wisconsin and claimed his organization wasn't endorsing when it already did. And then you had David Axelrod, not a card-carrying member of the vast right-wing conspiracy, who yesterday came out and said, if this chef, that would be Francesca Hong, she claims to be a chef. She's an activist, but she claims to be a chef. If this chef wins Wisconsin, Democrats are cooked. So that's where they are. They're in full court press.
With over 300,000 ballots and most of those are going to be on the Democrat side. Because the Republicans don't have very many competitive races. I mean, Tom Tiffany is going to win the nomination. Will Martin is. 99% chance he's going to win the nomination. So Republicans aren't as plugged in. Democrats are. So Tony Evers is crisscrossing the state of Wisconsin with David Crowley. So a reporter puts a microphone in the face of David Crowley. Does everybody know who David Crowley is? I bet a lot of you don't. And that's fine because a lot of Democrats don't know who he is either. You want to know what the number of Democrats who don't know who David Crowley is? I looked it up. 74%. Don't know who the guy is. 74%. So here's Tony Evers desperately trying to basically say David Crowley is me. He's a black version of me. Vote for him. It's like voting for me. And so a reporter sticks a microphone in David Crowley's face yesterday and says, so you're the establishment Democrat pick. And what does David Crowley do? He accuses anyone who says that of a racial slur. You got to love this. I mean, this is like, this is like a clown car. So here you got the, you got the, you know, very popular Democrat governor of Wisconsin. He's at least pretty popular among the Democrats. He's basically doing your campaign for you. They're doing everything they can to get out the vote for you. Here's a layup question from a reporter. So you're the establishment Democrat candidate. Let me translate for that for people who don't understand what establishment Democrat candidate means. And if your name is David Crowley, this is for you. It means you're the alternative to the lunatic socialist. That's what it means. So you're the mainstream. You're the normal Democrat. That's a racist slur. As a black man, I find that racist. Outstanding. Just absolutely brilliant response. He should have just said, you know, I've taken a few shots at Francesca Hong. He could have said, I think most people in Wisconsin think Thanksgiving is a perfectly fine holiday. Most people are very comfortable with Christmas and Halloween and don't get triggered by that. So if that's what it means by being an establishment Democrat, then yeah, I'm the alternative to the lunatic. Who thinks Thanksgiving should be canceled? Missed opportunity. Instead, he essentially told the reporter or anybody who would say that that they're being racist. David Crowley, that ship sailed. If you were going to play that card that I'm a black guy, vote for me and anything else's racist card, you should have done it a whole lot before, a whole lot of time before. The whitest guy on the planet.
became your campaign proxy. But that's where we are. It's where we are, folks. It's great. It's awesome. And do not fear. Do not fear if Francesca Hong wins this primary. Do not fear. She's the easier one to beat. Even with a complete, just dumb nutter like David Crowley. as an option as well. She's the easier one to beat. All right, we're going to take a break. We'll get more into this. We've also got news in the Francesca Hong campaign. She is, she walks the talk when it comes to. wanting to promote the most deviant sexuality in Wisconsin. She walks the talk, and we'll explain that coming up on the program. We'll be right back. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. So we are just days away from the primary election day. That's August 11th. Days away. Early voting for most people is going to end today. So not that we're talking to a lot of Democrats here, but I will just say this. You should go to my vote. Myvote.w.w.w.w.gov. Look up what's on my ballot because most people don't know. And if you don't have a competitive Republican ballot, meaning you don't have a hot primary for assembly, you don't have a very important sheriff's race or something like that. As I said yesterday, give prayerful consideration to maybe crossing over and voting for Francesca Hong. Jessica McBride, Wisconsin right now joins me on the program. Again, I want people to check their ballots to make sure that they're not missing something important. Like some of these areas have very tight and brutal Republican primaries, not for governor or lieutenant governor. But if you don't have one of those, you know, I mean, Francesca Hong's not a lock. in this upcoming race. And I will just confess, I was a commie for pay. I voted for her. I crossed over because I want her, I want Tom Tiffany to run against Francesca Hong. Yeah, Vicki, I agree with you completely. I've also been pushing this crossover scheme for weeks. And, you know, I've gotten some pushback from a few other conservatives who don't see the wisdom of it. But I am 100% convinced of the wisdom of crossing over as a conservative in voting for Hong unless, like you said, you have a competitive GOP primary in your area. So I personally... I'm going to vote in the primary, the GOP primary for Walkershire County Sheriff because I care about that race and it's heating up. And I also think people, for example, in the 7th congressional district, that's a very...
competitive GOP primary for Tom Tiffany's old feet. They should probably vote in the GOP primary. There's other other contests like that. Right. There's Lake Geneva area. Seems to have a real hot one. Yeah. Lake Geneva. I have some friends from Lake Geneva. That's a hot primary. You guys want to vote in the GOP primary. But if you don't have anything competitive, I'm in Jefferson County, in Lake Mills. Our Republican sheriff's running unopposed. All of our folks who are running for assembly, et cetera, running unopposed. And so it's a little easier for me. Look, she's not a lock. She's strong, but she's not a lock. And let's talk about what Crowley suggested might be his way to sneak in. He put out a memo, and it was about, it's not, it's about what age demographic is going to turn out in this primary. So he's arguing that if it is an older demographic, He is being undervalued in polling because on election day, the people who actually go and vote tend to be older. And he believes that could be his pathway through this primary. Right. And what we also have to remember is that the Democratic establishment right now is dumping millions of dollars behind probably. They're not just doing it on the stuff that we can see on TV. They're doing it on things that like you and I, Vicki, wouldn't see because we're not Democratic-targeted primary voters. So they're sending out direct mail and tax and all of this sort of hidden stuff that we don't see to try to turn out those traditional older Democratic voters who do dominate the primary voters on that side. I still think that Francesca Hong is going to win the primary because you and I talked about this off the air, I guess we both don't believe that the older Democratic voters have been properly educated yet on what she exactly stands for. So the rest of us were all on X and we're laughing every day about her insane tweets and her crazy appearances on Fox News or whatever. Then I call, for example, my Democratic 70-ish-year-old mom. And she has no idea that's going on yet. Now, if Francesca Hong wins the primary, Tom Tiffany will have millions and millions of dollars to educate people like that on what she actually believes in stand for. He will wildly outspend her, I think. I want to make one other really quick points that I think a lot of people are missing. Francesca Hong being the Democratic nominee, if we can get her through the primary, that obviously helps Tom Tiffany because she's the weakest candidate against them. But I think it also lifts every Republican on the ballot. I think it helps Eric Tony win. I think it helps Derek Ben Orden. That can be for control of Congress. And I think it helps Republicans keep control of the state legislature. I do too, especially on the legislature. She is among, if she is not the. most wildly, offensively, radical member of the Wisconsin legislature, the only other person who might beat her is Ryan Clancy. All right. I mean, she is at the apex of insanity, and that is, that you can utilize that. And so we know, based on these new maps that we're going to have to deal with in the legislature that Tony Evers forced down our throats, even after he forced other maps down our throats, that it makes it a lot harder for Republicans to keep control. This would help.
This and it additionally helps other, you know, other campaigns outside the state of Wisconsin. The Syed campaign helps campaigns outside the state of Wisconsin. That's Michigan. This would help campaigns outside the state of Wisconsin because you can nationalize the races if you've got someone as much of a lunatic as Francesca Hong. Look, she put her porn star buddy on her campaign. We'll dive more deeply into that a little bit later on. But that's how, I mean, she's not really embarrassed about any of the position she's taken in the past. She doesn't necessarily know how to address direct confrontation to them, but she doesn't seem embarrassed by it. Yeah, and I was laughing today. I, you know, on an X. Every day there's, you know, something hysterical on X about Hong. And I saw this video of Tony Evers with Crowley. I think they were going to the affair or something. Maybe the state fair. Anyway, Evers was saying, well, this is just ridiculous. I see you're sitting on Twitter all the time. He called it the Twitter, which I thought was funny. And then he basically said, why is she on Twitter? and national news talking about Thanksgiving and she likes it and then she doesn't like it. And he's like, come on. I obviously, he's trying to boost Crawley, but I just thought it was entertaining. Like you have Tony Evers out there kind of flailing away at Francesca Hong. He's sort of the only one who seems to get it on the Democratic side. Like the other ones are all pandering to her, which is weird. Her own opponents haven't tried to go after her on the Democratic side. But Evers gets it. He's even said it. He said she probably won't beat Tom Tiffany if she gets through. Like he actually said that on video. Everyone's quoting Evers. And okay, no one knows who David Crowley is outside of Milwaukee. And so it helps that Evers is on the campaign trail with him. And he's, you know, he's doing, he's crisscrossing the state trying to help David Crowley. But that's Evers. Crowley's been, you know, he can't say, you know what, with a mouthful. Doesn't, I mean, he was, he was called the establishment Democrat candidate, and he flipped out about that. No, dude, that's who you are meant to be. But he was suggesting that was racist. Well, David, you should have played the race card a while ago, because now you're talking to radical progressives who aren't quite communist yet. So he's out there saying, you know, it's racist. You missed, you missed your window on that one. You're going to need to get the old folks like your mom who aren't paying attention, but who are probably going to turn out and get them to vote for you. Whether she goes on Twitter or the Twitter or she goes on CNN or Hasan Piker podcast or whatever, that's about, you know, her getting a national profile to attract money if she wins this primary. You know, I mean, her ground troops have been out for months working, Ashland. Minacqua, Wausau. Working parts of Wisconsin, David Crowley never even knew existed until he suddenly became the guy. And one thing I think some people are forgetting is that college students are not on campuses yet because it's August. But obviously college students tilt toward Hong, I would think. So, you know, getting college students to vote in August 11th is kind of like hurting cats.
So there's a difference between who turns out and, you know, who's sitting on Twitter, TikTok excited about Hong. And I think that's what the Crowley memo was trying to, you know, indicate. I personally think he just has too much ground to make up, even with that factor, though. I mean, he was 31 points behind her in the Marquetteville that came out a short time ago. I don't think he can make up that much ground, especially because so many people have already voted. A lot of people voted for Rodriguez or Barnes. you know, early voting before, you know, they quit. And also the names will still be on the ballot. You still got Joel Brennan and Calderoy's in there for some bizarre reason. I think for all of those reasons, he's going to obviously surge over where he was before, but he's not going to quite make it over. I think we will have a Francesca Hong. versus Tom Tiffany race. And I'm telling you once again, that is what we want in Wisconsin. It will boosts conservative enthusiasm and turnout. You want to make sure that happens. So the Marquette poll had a pretty big margin of error, but it's also a week and a half old at this point. But still, she was at 38. I mean, you can look at that state Natagate poll or this up north pole or whatever. Just go with Marquette. It tends to be a little bit more reliable, although a very large margin of error, which is sort of surprising. It's not normally 6.6%. But 38% is what she's got. The next closest is Mandela Barnes. with 16%. David Crowley has 7%. If David Crowley takes everybody's votes, He doesn't beat 38%. You know, that's another part of the problem. But to your point about old folks, you're right. College students are off campus. And I would say El-Sayed won in Michigan. College students were also off campus in Michigan. He had the Dearborn vote, though. He had an Islamic vote. We don't have in Wisconsin. And so we don't have that kind of poll. So maybe those are not apples to apples comparisons. But yeah, this is, this is. If Republicans, again, if Republicans, you know, want to try to help a little bit here and you don't have anything competitive. Again, if you're in that Lake Geneva area, there's a three-way primary going on with Republicans in your area. There's a hot sheriff's primary in Tom Tiffany's old seat, whatever. then vote Republican. But if you're, again, if you're of mind to try to do a little operation chaos, take a look what's on your ballot and consider seriously either going to the polls or early voting and trying to make sure Francesca Hong's the opponent. Well, in the Michigan race is a lot closer than people expected too. So I think this is going, you know, the marginal will close. And, you know, I believe if you were to ask, and I haven't, but if you were to ask Tom Tiffany.
Who do you want to run against? He's going to say, of course, Francesca Hong. You know, it's a terrible cycle for Republicans. But if it's... Hong, the election becomes about DSA, not DJT. And, you know, we all love Trump, but like the fact of the matter is their independence are angry at them right now over Iran, over the economy, etc. Even some Republicans, I would say. We don't want this election to be defined by Trump. We want it to be defined by socialism and the scary things that Francesca Hong wants to do. And frankly, I would like Tom Tiffany to drive a stake through the heart of... of the socialist movement in the American heartland. I think that would be a great thing to see, and I think he would do it. I believe he would defeat Francesca Hong. She wouldn't be easy, though, and we shouldn't take that lightly, of course. There's no sure things in politics. But of the candidates, she seems like the easiest. I think, I mean, honestly, the Democrats, they were, they would never, they were never going to nominate a white guy. But I think. Brennan would have been the smart pick for those guys. I really do. Yeah, I do. Kind of a affable, innocuous, comes off innocuous. He comes off, you know, relatively harmless, kind of, you know, sincere. But it's way too late for him at this point. Jessica McBride, thank you so much for jumping on the program today. Good to have you. Thanks, Vicki. Appreciate it. And we will check, and please check out Wisconsin Right Now.com, and we'll take a quick break. Welcome back to the program. It's the Vicki McKenna Show. I've got Daniel Degner standing by from Wisconsin Family Action. I don't know why no one's not talking about this, or not enough people are talking about this, Daniel. And that is the discovery that Francesca Hong. has put a porn star on the payroll. So she was the author of a piece of legislation that would legalize prostitution. And she was supportive of, I don't know what we call it, a resolution or some kind of honorary for a porn star during 2026 Holy Week. But I mean, this is the kind of thing you would think would get people's attention. And yet it's kind of working under the radar here. So what do we know? Yeah, thanks for having me on, Vicki. And again, this is, I remember being on your show, talking your listeners, and just being amazed when, in the first place, Francesca Hong during Good Friday, while we are at church, we are mourning the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Francesca Hong and her socialist friends are honoring a porn star for being the penthouse pet of the year. And I was absolutely dismayed when I'm watching the interviews after the Democrat gubernatorial debate to see said Porn Star is on Francesca Hong's campaign staff and leading. And she's not just a random staffer. She is the deputy campaign manager. And the question that I would have for the Hahn campaign, I think voters should have for the Han campaign is if elected, what level of leadership is she going to put this Porn Star in and what's...
What's crazy, too, with this, Vicki, is this isn't someone who did porn 10, 15, 20 years ago and has now changed. This is someone who is actively using pornography and profiting from the pornography industry. So she has an only fans account. That's what you're saying. From what I understand is right now, yeah, I made sure not. I do not look at those sort of things. But there's people that I've talked to that did verify and did see that she has a current account on that platform. Good brief. Your deputy campaign, is this the same woman that was honored during Holy Week? Yep. So on Good Friday in 2025, Francesca Hong and her socialist allies, they gave her a citation honoring her for Penthouse Pet of the Year. And then after that, she got promoted to be a deputy campaign manager. We did look at campaign finance reports, and she is making a monthly salary of about $5,700. If you put that out to the annual salary. She's making about $69,000 a year with the Hahn campaign. And again, the question that I have, I think the voters should have, too, is what level of leadership is she going to have this person? Is she going to serve as the communications director for the governor while moonlighting as a porn star? It's a legitimate question the voters should be asking. Yeah. Do you want to have, you know, people in state government who are in the executive branch, you know, doing whatever it is they do on pornographic websites? for pay is that that's are we really at that point are the democrats really at that point where they're okay with this and i wonder and i and i and i actually think the answer is for the most part i think democrats don't care because they hate republicans that much but again this is so she leads with this okay deputy campaign manager not a small position but she she is the author in april of a piece of legislation that would not only legalize prostitution, but would provide a special billet of rights. for prostitutes in Wisconsin, which would include paid medical leave, insurance, you know, whatever tax breaks, in addition to special protections in the law regarding law enforcement, prohibitions against discrimination and employment. I mean, I put this out today again. And, you know, hardly anyone sees it. They're like, oh, okay, Hooker's Bill of Rights. Read it for heaven's sakes. She's serious enough that she put one on her payroll, okay? And, you know, this is one of those things where we're just whistling and not even bothering to talk about this stuff.
Yeah, well, and again, this is where we've seen Francesca Hong is owned by the sexual lobbying. Again, this person that's on the campaign, she founded the coalition of American sex workers' union. She is a union leader as well with the sex workers. And if we look at Wisconsinites, the average suburban mom in Wisconsin, they do not want to see legalized sex trafficking happening in their communities. And that's exactly what this legislation does. What's really concerning to us as well, and we look at Francesca Hong's record, Francesca Hong voted against legislation that would have protected children from pornography. And we got that bill all the way to Governor Ivers. And unfortunately, Ivers vetoed that bill as the first person after Ken Paxton affirmed at the U.S. Supreme Court that it was constitutional, have these protections for children. He was the first one to veto it. And again, this is the sort of thing we see with a Francesca Hong that's very telling is that while she's elevating these porn craters. She's failing to protect children from the dangers of pornographic content. So this was a piece of legislation, if I remember correctly, that would have had an age verification requirement to let kids access material like this. She also voted against a piece of legislation that would have made grooming child sexual grooming a felony. She voted against that. She was one of a handful of Democrats who voted against that. So the sexual, this sort of libertine. anything goes, you know, sexuality thing is, it's not a minor thing about her. It's not just because, okay, she's checking some LGBTQWTF box. She leads with it. She's authored legislation. She's putting a pornographic content creator on her staff in a high level position. Somebody who is likely to be brought into a Hong administration, never mind. Now we have the Wisconsin Supreme Court who's taken away the legislature's ability and oversight on rulemaking. What kind of mayhem could be done vis-a-vis sexual, you know, the rules and sexuality and children without even having oversight by the legislature? And, you know, I don't even know. But we have an awful lot of agencies that can manipulate state law in pretty creepy ways. And you're absolutely right, Vicki. And it goes back again to the judgment we see of Francesca Hong does not put people in these positions that are serious people. Again, when I went to this person's ex-account, that's the deputy campaign manager, her cover photo on her ex-account is a bunch of drag queens that are in front of a Francesca Hong for governor signed. And yes, practically there's going to be terrible policy that happens, but are we also going to see? What happens in the Wisconsin State Capitol we've seen in other places where they do drag shows in the actual capital, in the capital rotunda, is that the sort of thing that we'll see in a hot administration? Unfortunately, based up the people she's putting around her as well as her own statements, home policy positions, I think that's the sort of thing she wants to bring to Madison as well as the rest of the state. Oh, I think so. She believes that children should be transed. She believes that drag queens are women. She is, you know, I mean, she is every far left critical theory box you can possibly check. She has checked the box. And it would be one thing to rhetorically check the box. And it's an entirely different thing to walk your talk. And that's what she's doing here. So, you know, everyone says it's the economy. It's the economy. It's the economy.
And we shouldn't, you know, spend much time talking about these social issues. And I agree that most people are going to be voting on the economy. But, you know, correct me if I'm wrong. You've got to talk about these things. I mean, you've got to talk about the fact that she wants abortion as a right up till birth, up till birth, that she wants that she's against protecting children from groomers, that she is in favor. of children having un-idied access to porn, that she believes prostitution should be legal in Wisconsin. That is legalized human sex trafficking. I mean, are we back at a place where we're not supposed to talk about the culture war stuff? Yeah, and Vicki, what you're bringing up is a really good point, and I want to take it a little bit further that some people, it takes them a little bit to see sometimes, but oftentimes our social policies that we have do drive long-term economic policies. We see when we have the breakdown of the family, and I will tell you what, a Francesco-Hon governorship will promote policies that advance the breakdown of the family unlike anything we've ever seen before. That leads to higher welfare costs. That leads to higher societal costs, higher insurance costs. All these things that will make it harder on Wisconsin families and their paychecks and their pocketbooks. What brings back good economic order is having strong families, and that can only happen when you have social conservators and leading, as well as when we elect people like Tom Tiffany to the governorship. I couldn't agree more. You're talking about people who are also miserable. People who are also, you know, I mean, the answer from the left apparently is hookers and dope. I mean, we're also talking about people want to legalize drugs in Wisconsin as well here. So, I mean, what are we doing? Why would you want to empty out all virtue? And that seems to be what the left has now embraced. They want socialists and they don't just want economic socialists, which they are. They want cultural Marxists as well. And the cultural Marxists want to take the cornerstone to the foundation of society. That is the family. Cornerstone, when you think about what they're for, they're for tearing down economic structures, not building them. And therefore tearing down social structures, not building them. So this is about stagnation and death. And, you know, in having Wisconsin, you know, go first. is just something that I don't think most people in the Midwest would choose if they knew the stakes. Yeah, I absolutely agree with you on all those points, Vicki. And yes, this is a very clear race that we will see. It's unfortunate. I do believe Hahn will be the nominee for Democrats. But what we need to see as we head to November is we have the opportunity for voters to vote for a common sense conservative like Tom Tiffany or we have someone that would advance a bit radical. very far left LGBT sort of agenda through Frenchos Ghan. I mean, you can, it's like scratch and sniff campaign at this point. And I do hope that, I mean, she is the most insane candidate. I think she'd be the easiest one for Tom Tiffany to beat. But you got to talk about these things. And so to have this come out, the very first thing I should have seen was Tiffany War Room on X spreading this everywhere. And every, you know, conservative out there having knowledge of it. But it was.
You know, people, the political class gets in their head. Let's just talk about the economy. Just talk about the economy. No, because there's a huge number of people who actually care about this kind of stuff. Can people find more about this? Is there, I mean, do you recommend going on Wisconsin Family Action on X on your Facebook page? Where can people like learn more about this one besides going on my account? Yeah, you can go to our website at WIFamilyaction.org. That again is WIFamily Action.org. And then, of course, we're on social medias. We're on Instagram, X, Facebook as well. We would appreciate your follow on those pages as well as distributing a lot of this information. As Vicki, you've shared, one of the key pieces we need people to do is to be able to share these things to be able to get the message out there. And so we would appreciate any listeners that would come and share these details for voters that they know to be aware of them. This is a giant, this would be, if this were a Republican, this would be front page news on every newspaper in Wisconsin. And right now, we can barely get anyone to pay attention to it. Daniel Degner, thank you very much for being on the show today. Thanks for having me. Great to have you. And we will take a break on the Vicki McKenna Show. Coming up on Monday's program, there's an issue that brings the left and the right together. It's energy and data centers. And this is an opportunity for Republicans if they take it. We'll talk about that with Dan Canodal coming up on Monday's show.
