Hour 3 - Is Hegseth Natty?

A little bit of a, we got to come clean. I want to apologize to Michael Bari Weiss and to Jesse Kelly and all of our friends in Texas. We are going to reschedule now our trip to Austin, San Antonio, and Houston because my kids have an event on primary night that I cannot miss. I've got a senior in high school. I'm trying to make sure I don't miss any of his events. So we're going to get back down to Texas, but we're not going to be there in the next 10 days or so. And we will still hit all those markets. And we're going to do a cool event at the Alamo, which I can't wait to go to, to celebrate Jasmine Crockett coffee, as well as Davey Jasmine Crockett himself in the legacy of the Alamo. And Buck's book is surging, and I'm very glad it's surging. Because I feel bad about all the stakes he's had to buy for me because I'm right about everything. I've got to be able to pay for them. That's right. Especially because the cost is just going up, especially in the expensive stake market of South Florida where more and more people are moving every single day. And therefore they can charge higher prices for their stakes. All right. With that in mind. I have said that Kamala Harris is going to run for president. She is going to run for president. And recently out to dinner with several of our mutual friends, I even went so far as to say, I think Kamala Harris is going to be the nominee for the Democrat Party. And my analysis, yes. Right. So that's, just to be, that's insane. Just so everyone's clear, I'm going to the record with, I don't stake or no stake, Kamala Harris as a nominee from Clay insane. Not as insane as Michelle Obama is going to be the nominee in the last election cycle, which he didn't get right, by the way. But. Insane. The logic on this, I think you might sign on to, though, as I work through. So first of all, we're going to find out at some point where is the Democrat primary going to start? And much like the power brokers rigged everything for back in the day, Hillary Clinton against Bernie Sanders, and much like I think the power brokers just rigged the Democrat primary in Texas for James Talarico instead of Jasmine Crockett.

Where they decide to put the primary will tell us a great deal about who they want to be the nominee. If they put it in the south. Due to the impact of black voters, Kamala Harris is going to be the nominee. So put a star in this prediction. If they go to New Hampshire, if they go to Iowa, Kamala Harris will probably not be the nominee. But if they start with South Carolina or Georgia or even my home state of Tennessee, which is making a play to be the first primary state in the 28 Democrat cycle, because remember they're divorced now, Republicans do their thing. Democrats do their thing. They're in different states. Right now, Kamala Harris is leading the charge. And one reason she's leading the charge is there's no other black candidate. And I saw this, and I don't know if I buy it, but Wes Moore keeps saying he is the governor of Maryland. I'm not sure that he's a great political talent. But he keeps saying, I'm not going to run. This is cut 23, Democrat governor. of Maryland who happens to be a black man, Wes Moore, saying, I'm not going to run, 23. So we're going to play that in a second. That is Wes Moore on 2028. One thing that I think ties in here is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I think, is getting kneecapped. I think some of the Kamala Harris is behind it. Her answer in Munich, a lot of Republicans have had fun up with it, but they managed to get left-wing media to write about it. Because they want to kneecap Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who's young, can raise a lot of money and might have appeal with some minority voters. I think Kamala Harris wants to do that. And so as you work through this, who is Buck in your mind? the minority contender against Kamala Harris that could start to steal away some of her support. We now have that cut ready for you. Cut 23, Wes Moore. Could you be competitive in a Democratic primary? Some big names might run. Gavin Newsom, the California governor, among many others. I respect all of them in terms of their intellect. In terms of... where their heart lies in terms of the service that they want to provide to this country. But ultimately, your actions speak louder than anything. Gavin Newsom is somebody that I think has tremendous potential if he moves towards the center. But ultimately, affordability with taxes in the state of California, the homelessness, the crime, he's going to have to answer those questions, being a prisoner of the environmentalist out there. He's going to have to answer those questions. Okay, that's Stephen A. Smith. Why do I think Stephen A. Smith is now being trumpeted and getting a lot of attention? Buck, I think they see him as the Kamala Harris Vanquisher.

Because for black voters, black guys are going to vote for Stephen A. Smith over Kamala Harris. They just are. And you might think it's ridiculous that an ESPN commentator could be running for president, all those things. I understand them. But why is this story so ascendant? I think Democrat power brokers don't see Stephen A. Smith as a real contender to be president. But I think they see him as the vanquisher of Kamala Harris because he is a minority candidate that would take away much of the support that otherwise might go to Kamala Harris. Do you buy this theory? I'm just saying they're giving him a lot of credence, a lot of attention, and they're elevating him as a serious candidate. It may be just a story, but I think it actually undermines Kamala Harris, and I think that's one of the reasons he's getting some pop. I don't know, Mr. Stephen A, but I think he is likely a fundamentally more serious and intelligent person than Kamala Harris. So that is true. I believe that is without a shadow of it out, true. So I start from that premise, which is if I'm looking at these people and their record of success, look, he's a media commentator. So is Donald Trump in a sense, right? Or he was a media figure, a entertainment media figure, as well as being a business owner, you know, a CEO and a mogul and all that. But I'm just saying that's actually a very important skill set for politicians today. To be able to communicate, to be able to communicate effectively on the fly and to have a charisma presence in the digital realm of online and social media and everything else is a real currency. They tried to manufacture, like manufacturing delusion, by the way, the book that you should all get. They tried to manufacture that charisma for Kamala Harris, and they failed because she's so lacking in it. and they weren't able to just construct it around her and for her. I think Stephen A would be a far more formidable just on that ground than she is, even as somebody who's spent a life in politics, because Kamala Harris, let's be honest, she really has been able to ride the absolute peak of the DEI wave among the Democrat Party. She was a black female at a time when... And she's actually, as we know, she's actually of mixed ancestry in that she's South Asian and black. Yes. But she, you know, it's interesting. You never hear people talk about her as the first, like, South Asian presidential candidate, which I think is interesting because why, right? I mean, she is. Well, I mean, it's the same thing with Barack Obama being half white, right? Nobody ever talks about Barack Obama, the fact that his mom is white. It's just completely buried in the. narrative of race and it's the race that they want to feature. And Kamala Harris is arguably to your point even more interesting because she's a multifaceted minority, right? Actually, she's half Indian. Like that would be a big deal in a similar vein if she had one on that front and it would have been completely snowed under. Yes. And so.

I think that for Kamala Harris, she didn't have to, the same way that the left-wing media, and this has been a very broad thing, left-wing media, because they were so dominant for, when I say left-wind, I'm talking CNN, New York Times, Huff Post, Vice. Remember when Vice? It was like, hey, I'm just like sitting here with a cigarette dangling out of my mouth talking about, you know, North Korea, bro. And this was a billion-dollar company. I don't even know if you guys remember this. This was a like a far left. It was like hipster news. And I was always, this is preposterous. This is what I first started at the Blaze 15 years ago. Everyone's like, oh, these guys are going to be worth billions and billions of dollars. I'm like, no, they're not. This is absurd. I mean, they did raise a bunch of money and now the whole thing is completely collapsed and they basically had to fire everybody. But. My point about it is that in that era where they had so much dominance of particularly online and internet culture and the traditional legacy media, Kamala Harris was able to get by just by the very basic and superficial characteristics that were elevated by DEI. She's just not very good. People say, look how far she got. She was a vice president. Well, Joe Biden was president. He had dementia. So as we know, this doesn't really mean anything per se in terms of someone's ability. It just has to do with how they're able to ride the machinery, how they're able to leverage the machinery of politics in that moment. I just don't think she's formidable. The worst thing for Kamala Harris and her brand is going to be running again. She's going to get absolutely, I'm sorry, if she becomes the nominee. Your point about running again, she has no downside. In the primary, that's true. If she runs in a general election, she's done. And how old is she's not that old? 58, I think. Yeah, pretty young actually. Look, I think the bigger picture here, and we've got the Wes Moore audio as well, is Democrats, because of the identity politics with which they have imbued the entirety of the party. The reason why I argued Michelle Obama back in 2024 was because by Democrat Party rules, you can't replace a black woman with a white man. And I think that same issue is going to apply in 2028. So they need Kamala Harris to get knocked out. This is crazy, but just follow me on their strained logic. They need a minority who has appeal for black voters to knock Kamala Harris out so they can avoid. The racist thing. Explain this argument. And you know that I like this because this would mean that Kamala Harris, you know, maybe even thinks twice about running. And although that's now, I think, I got a little ahead of my skis on the road. But she's going to get crushed. Okay. She absolutely has no shot if she does throw her hat in the ring. That all said, though, why do you feel this way given that Joe Biden black and black female voters in the 2020 primary? Went with Joe Biden. Because there wasn't a viable black candidate available. What are you? Kamala Harris. She was out. She dropped out before people voted. So in the 2020 primary.

Biden had black support because he had been the vice president for Barack Obama. There was no viable black candidate. Remember, it was Mayor Pete. It was Elizabeth Warren. It was Mayor Bloomberg tried to jump in at the end. And Biden got smoked in New Hampshire and in Iowa. And then Jim Clyburn said, it's Biden. We're voting for him. We're not letting Bernie be the nominee. It was a bunch of white guys and gals all competing, and Biden was the choice. I don't think Kamala Harris is going to drop out this time before votes are cast, and so they need somebody to box her out. Now, could be Stephen A. Smith. Wes Moore, who you predicted could end up being the guy, is saying publicly at least, I'm not running. This is that audio. Your potential presidential ambitions are not a secret, right? Oh, well, they're a secret to me. Really? Oh, yes, they are. I am very committed. You have no idea whether or not you might run for president or not. No, I'm not ready for president. I'm not, because I love what I'm doing. And remember, you know, four years ago, I'd never held election office in my life. I don't come from a political background. I'm not, I'm not one of these people who's been spending 20 years, you know, going from job to job. Okay, so the best way to end up president is to claim you have no interest in being president. But if Wes Moore, Stephen A. Smith, they need a viable black candidate, I think Buck, to box Kamala Harris out of the black candidate box because otherwise she's going to get the support. And black women, I think, are going to show up in big numbers for Kamala Harris no matter what. I think they're kind of floating Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Problem with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is she might be a dumber version of Kamala Harris. And I'm not sure exactly how this is going to shake out. So that's the prediction there. We'll see if there's any legitimacy to it at all. But I do think they're trying to find a person that could be the choice. I think Gavin Newsom is going to be the nominee, and everyone knows it, and that's where this is all heading, and they're not going to try anything. I think the Democrats have lost two elections running women against Donald Trump, and they're not going to take a Trump heir and put him up against, put that individual, which is probably going to be JD Vance, up against another female candidate to lose. So I think it's going to be Gavin Newsom. I think they're going to go, look, they ran the old establishment white guy in 2020. Say what you will about what they had to do to, quote, win that election. Biden was president for four years. So their game worked, right? Let's just, we got to live in reality. I think it's Gavin Newsom. What do the betting markets say, Mr. betting market, man? Gavin Newsom is the favorite in the betting markets. I'm just saying black women are not showing up to vote for Gavin Newsom. I think they have to figure out a way to box Kamala Harris out or dilute her black vote in order for someone else to be the nominee. I don't disagree with you that they think Gavin Newsom may be the pick. Here's the problem, I think, though. I think California is such a disaster according to most of the general public. I'm not sure a California...

politician from the Democrat Party could get the nomination. Not to Democrats. They voted in the recall very strongly to keep him there. So this is the problem they have. Well, California Democrats like him. I'm not sure that nationwide they do. And I also think the Democrats, and whether talking black female primary voter, I think they just want to vote for who they think is going to win. because they want the agenda. I don't think there's anybody who's going to inspire voters on the Democrat side this time around, I think. Anyway, we've got to go to a break, so we'll come back into this. I simply want you to answer for your state about the homelessness that Obama just alluded to, which he labeled an embarrassment, about the crime, about defunded police, about being a sanctuary city and state, about billions in debt. Maybe he should stop yelling if he wants Gavin to come on his show. Just an idea. He's like, I'm not going to yell at you. I don't know. You're not selling him on the not yelling when you're yelling. Here is Kaitlan Collins on Stephen Colbert's show. She is a CNN host. And she says they're still talking about the James Talarico. But we've talked about this. I do think it's important. She specifically says, I don't think Republicans want a Democrat administration to order right-wing talk radio to have Democrats on. Cut 16. I think it's actually a really... slippery slope because I think that you've seen some people on the right cheering this and saying, well, that's what we want Brendan Carr to do.

To his credit, one of the very, Bill Maher, one of the very few who's like, let's actually have real ideas here on the show from the other side. Let's not have, you know, he had, he had Megyn Kelly on in the last year. He's, I mean, I can't even think of all the people, but he's had real conservatives, real right-wing voices, actual Trump supporters on the show. Nobody else who makes a living doing Democrat commentary of any consequence whatsoever does the same thing. No one. Yeah, and I give credit in the same way. Pierce Morgan has a lot of people of a variety of different perspectives. Now, that's not a traditional talk show. He's running like a Jerry Springer situation over there. I've seen how that goes. He's like, all right, everyone, stop poking each other in the eyes. Yeah, I have fun going on that show just because it's one big Donnybrook. But yes, there at least is the attempt. Abigail Spanberger, the so-called moderate governor of Virginia, all of that is in quotation marks, has been chosen to deliver the state of the union response. Is that next week, I believe, I'm not mistaken. Total Trojan horse. Total, total head fake for the entire state. I told you. Actually, I'm not sure you're here. I know people. who are now thinking about moving to Florida from Virginia. Yeah? Because they're so angry about what's happening in their state. Well, I mean, look, this is what Democrats do. And I do think before we play this, have some fun with this. Look. Democrats pretend that they're going to be moderate, and then they run far left wing. This is why I love Trump. Trump basically gave everyone a roadmap of exactly what he was going to do, and effectively he has just moved down the list, check mark, check mark, check mark. Whether you agree or disagree with it, I'm not sure we've had a campaign or a candidate who said more exactly what he would do, and then getting into office has done exactly what he said. Okay. Comptych! Yeah! All right, $3.15. And I was just saying this. I worked out with my 15-year-old this past weekend. There are witnesses in a gym down in Florida. And I had my 15-year-old spotting me. I said, I haven't tried to do $2.25 in a while. And I said, I just want to prove near the end of a workout. I want to prove I can still do it. And so my 15-year-old spotted me $2.25. So I can do that's two plates. 3.15 buck is freaky strong, particularly when you think, I mean, Pete Hegseth definitely weighs under 200 pounds. And he's, whatever, he is, 45 years old now. Yeah. I'm a huge Pete fan. Are you doing a great job? I saw him. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I'm a huge secretary of war fan. He's doing a great job with the Pentagon, with the changing of the way that we work with industry to bring the best technology and the best tools, the warfighter. And I think Pete is doing a great job. And Pete is a friend of yours. Pete is a friend of mine. I think there might be a little bit of performance-enhancing drugs involved. Oh, no. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm throwing a, I think we could have a little TRT, a little TRT, you know, maybe, definitely some BPC-157 to help with the recovery. I'm thinking a little TRT, he's juicing up those numbers a little bit, you know? Did he pop a few ANVAR for a few weeks before this? That technically wouldn't be legal, but, you know, you can get it under certain medical circumstances. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just asking questions. I'm just asking questions, but a little TRT boost to get the 315 up? Some of you out there know what I'm talking about. Some of you out there know that would help a lot. That would help a lot. Because if he is doing that truly Natty, that's pretty wild. That's really, that is quite, that is quite impressed. I know, please, I know some of you are champion powerlifters and, you know, you're amazing, and we don't, you don't need to send us your shirtless photos. Clay and I represent the middle-aged dad caucus here, okay? So I don't need to see that you were a champion bodybuilder. You won the Arnold Classic, yada, yeah. We're the middle-aged caucus here. Okay, middle-aged dude caucus. To us, 315 is pretty hefty on the bench. If you don't weigh 260 pounds, like that's good. Clay, when I got really fat, honestly, or for me, when I gained a lot of weight, I was throwing crazy numbers up on the bench. And it actually was bad because I was like, whoa, I'm getting stronger. Well, yeah, but like there's a lot of fat, you know, you have to sort of look at it based on body weight, right? Correct. Like your wife can probably lift.

twice her body weight, which is freakishly strong. So this is how you can assess actual strength. But the overall number is not going to be the same for like a woman who weighs 120 pounds as a guy who weighs 280 pounds or whatever. Most guys can't bench their own body weight. Whatever you weigh out there, most guys cannot do it. Here, that's why for a lot of people, if you're not, look, I like to lift. It's not like I'm a professional lifter by any stretch of the imagination. Two plates is an incredible target, right? Like most people see, for those of you who don't know, the bench, the bar is 45 pounds. And when we say two plates, we mean two 45 pound weights on each side. That's 225. Easy math. 315 is three plates. There are very few guys that are not professional lifters that can throw up 315. So 225, there's not that many guys that can do it.

Um, that includes, I'm trying to see if that includes men and women, because obviously if a woman can throw up 225, I mean, that's, I mean, that's, I mean, that's, I mean, that's crazy is off the charts freakish too. But, um, I think it's about, it's about, it's like, it's like one, it's less than one percent of the, of the overall population can do that. So can do two 25. So three 15 is like one in 10,000 strong. Uh, I mean, it's crazy. So. Buck has called out the Secretary of War. Maybe he has to come on and defend his bench press ability. I'm just asking a question. I just feel like this is a great opportunity to explore the benefits of the anti-aging and strength increasing regime. I would say this. That is available to, look, for TRT, for people, by the way, lots of Joe Rogan talks about how he's on it. Lots of people will talk about how they take it. And everyone that I know who has taken TRT. and medically supervised. I'm talking about, okay, just to be clear, this is for guys, obviously not for girls, because men and women are different, and guys in middle age. uh this is a huge a huge overall health benefit to them under a doctor's care done the proper way and at the proper dosing but it does make you consider it does help well r f k junior has admitted that he did this if you've seen him with his shirt off he's 74 years old and he is like crazy of course by the way he's taking more than TRT but that's another conversation this is the other thing too people start admitting to like little bits of this this is very big in miami culture People will be like, oh, like, I just take some peptides for recovery. It's like, no, I think you take anabolic steroids. There's a lot of that. There's a lot of that here. So I haven't just say. I haven't taken anything ever. So I'm happy with my 225. And anyway, we'll see. People are now demanding. Remember when I said I could do 185 10 times back in the day and everybody was in disbelief over that? I posted a video. Maybe I'm going to have to post a video at 225, evidently. But 315, we just shared it. That's good. I mean, look. The positive here is everybody should be trying to do more, especially guys, lifting, having more muscle. It allows you to be a much better health. Strength training is essential for men and women. Women, I am amazed. A lot of the women listen to this are in much better shape than me, and that's great. But a lot of women I still come across who say, I don't want to get big from weightlifting. that you will get smaller, 100%, you will tighten up from, your waist will get tighter, your arms will get smaller, weightlifting will only make you, unless you're taking crazy amounts of performance-enhancing drugs as a woman, is only going to make you actually smaller. That's why the most popular category for female bodybuilders is bikini. Yeah. No, I mean, it's a great point because for a lot of women, they still worry, oh, I'm going to get too bulky. Oh, I'm not going to be, I'm not going to have a feminine figure. To your point, like, muscle is good for everybody. I mean, my mom is in her 60s. My mom is like, like, she's a Smith machine, but she's deadlifting and doing it's absolutely obviously do all these things safely and consult your trainer and your doctor before you start any exercise regimen. But strength training.

is so critical and there's still this weird almost like how the food pyramid people like should i really have 12 servings of grain a day absolutely not that's finally gone getting like like resistance training for strength is something that everybody every adult should do at all ages at an appropriate level for them It is only good for your health. And that's a, I mean, that's a message that I think should get out there a lot more for people. Yeah, look, your wife does a lot of lifting. My wife lifts. I mean, they're way better shaped than us. I mean, well, I mean, but that's the way, you know what I mean? Like, we're successful radio guys. Like, we got to have the wives that are in the, you know what I mean? Come on.
