And so we'll be with you until we solve the world's problems. We hope to have that done by 6.30 tonight, okay? But if it takes us stay until midnight to solve the world's problems, we're willing to stay, if that's what it's going to take to get the world on the right path. How is it possible in 2026 that you can vote in California yesterday and you still don't really have a good read on the outcome? How is that possible with technology in in 2026? I mean, I realize we don't live in California, but some of the stuff is interesting to watch going on. Spencer Pratt is running against. I don't understand how people vote sometimes. I mean, you take a look at the woman that was the mayor out there during the fire. She was just absolutely horrible. This Karen Bass. I mean, when you look at Karen Bass and listen to her, she wasn't even in the country when these fires took place. And she's the mayor out there. She's totally, she's in Africa. I mean, and when you listen to her talk, she's a dingling. So you sit there and you say to yourself, how is it that anybody voted for this woman? How could anybody vote for this person? She's like a dingling. It's like... And she wasn't even there. And yet she's going to be in a runoff election. And so, but there's this, like, where does all this stuff stand? As far as Spencer Pratt, the reality show TV star, who's just Joe Bag of Donuts saying, the job you did sucked. You're a disgrace.

All the wasted money, all this nonsense on homelessness. Everything has gotten worse in California. You've got people living on a street, homelessness, drugs being used, the parks you can't use. I mean, if you look at this liberal bastion of governing how they govern in California, if you just look at it, it's a failure. High taxes. Look at the cost of gasoline. Look at the taxes. And look at the corruption and look at the results. So you're paying all this money and it's just terrible results. And this is a sign of how this liberal mindset functions in California. I mean, it is the liberal mindset. And it's just an absolute disaster. I don't know what else to say about it. I certainly hope, and how you would vote to say, we want more of that. I just don't understand it. When you look at, for example, like a place like Florida, I mean, Ron DeSantis, you look at a governor like him, and you just say to yourself, now, they keep lowering taxes in Florida. They keep lowering taxes in Florida. Ron DeSantis is a governor, and he wants to do something down there when it comes to if you are a Florida residence and you have the homestead exemption, everybody gets it. It's not income base. It's not age base. But if you're in Florida and you get the homestead exemption, he wants to almost eliminate property, well, potentially eliminate property taxes and or significant reductions in him.

And you just look at, why would you want to, California, great weather and all that kind of stuff, but why would you want to stay there with the cost of living, what gasoline cost, with what the liberal leadership has done to that area? With their liberal ideas, it's a disaster. It's not like even having a debate about it or we're speculating about it. Look. Look at what they said they were going to do, whether it's Gavin Newsom or Karen Bass. Look at what they said they were going to do. And look at the results. And look at the tax dollars. And look at all these people making money and a lot of money for supposedly solving these problems, which never gets solved. That is the liberal way in California. Many argues the same way in Minnesota. So why would you vote for more of that? I cannot understand the voter. And it has to be the low information voter. It simply has to be the low information voter that says, oh, I'm going to vote on name recognition, or I'm going to vote on, is this person black? Is this person white? Is this person Irish? Is this person gay? Or some stupid reason to vote for somebody as opposed to what do they stand for? You listen to this Pratt, who's merely saying, hey, I'm running because she's doing a terrible job, and here's what my problems are. If you follow this at all, I realize it's California. But it's fascinating to follow this because he's running just to say, you've done a terrible job. Here's what my problem is. Here's what should be done. And it's connecting with enough people. I would certainly like to see him be victorious in it. But for some reason, he's a Republican, apparently, and that's like a sin in California. When you look at the results, but they say he's gaining a lot of ground with people because he's just making sense. Don't some things go beyond politics, Republican and Democrat? That's why I say to you, Trump won because he connected with people. He was making a case for, I believe, in America first. He was identifying problems that everybody could relate to that were affecting people and was making the world a better place in his first term. And he was making it a better place, America, I should say a better place in his first term, and America a better place in his second term until he got involved in this war. If you would have never got involved in this war, I can't imagine what gas prices would be. I guarantee you they would be 250 or less. And inflation was coming down. So this war is a game changer for him. And we shall see what happens here as far as the outcome is concerned. We shall see. I mean, there's so much uncertainty going on as a result of it. So we'll give it some time. But how can in 2026, I go back to say, how can you still be saying, well, what's the vote count? I mean, it's just unbelievable with today's technology that they're just so backward and all of this kind of stuff that they can't get this stuff counted faster. And right off the bat, you suspect.

shenanigans. Whenever something is taking this long, you're saying, okay, what's going on here? What's the story here? Tech CEO arrested for allegedly supplying equipment for Iran's nuclear and military programs? Well, why would somebody do something like that, you say? Who knows? U.S. forces shoot down Iranian missiles, drones in response to fresh attacks on Kuwait. So there you go. California tech company CEO was arrested for allegedly supplying U.S. equipment to Iran's nuclear and military establishment. James Seed Gomi, 63. A dual Iranian and U.S. citizen residing in Newport Coast, California, is charged with conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. He allegedly produced sophisticated U.S. origin networking, security, and encryption equipment for Iranian customers, including the Iranian regime's nuclear and military establishments. He enriched himself, they say, by supplying U.S. technology to the atomic energy organization of Iran and other sanctioned entities responsible for Iran's nuclear program. But he's an Iranian and U.S. citizen, so should I be shocked by that? Probably not. Probably not. You're on here. Yeah, I have a lot of updates for property tax initiative. Oh, good. First of all, yeah, I met Dave Thomas last week. He was at the Columbiana Republican Women's Club. Isn't he impressive? He is. I went there to spy on him. I wanted to see what he was saying about our group, which he didn't say anything bad about our group, but I just wanted to make sure. And I met with him after, and everything went well. So, yeah, he's a nice guy. He is. Friday at 8 o'clock, Brian Thomas Massie is going to give an update on Ohio Political News YouTube channel. So that's 8 a.m. Friday, June 5th. And, I mean, we know we're going to have to collect for another year, right? Because we only have in the 300,000 range. So I called all my permanent signing stations in the eight counties, and everybody's on board for another year. How about that? Don't they have to get so many signatures from four out of 44 of Ohio's 88 counties? We already did that. We already met that, yeah. So you've met the minimum requirements in the 44 counties? Yep, we surpassed that a long time ago, yeah. So now you have to, you can get signatures anywhere. As long as you can get, what, you want 600,000 roughly valid? Yeah, Brian's not going to feel comfortable submitting any less than that because to clear that bar of 413-488, you want to make sure, because sometimes they'll throw out 20, 22%. So you really have to make sure you, because once you turn them in, that's it. If you didn't meet the, if you didn't go over the bar, you're back to zero. Right. So we're going to collect for another year and everybody's on board, which I.

You know, I call people in eight counties, and they're all just down with it. So I'm so happy about that. That's a good, like, bellwether. You know, people are just, they're determined in the state of Ohio. Well, I should, I certainly hope so. When you say you wanted to spy on Dave Thomas, listen, Dave Thomas on a program on a regular basis, says the following, what's the spine? He says, basically, he says, a lot of what I'm getting accomplished is out of fear of the effort of what you're doing. I keep saying we should not be a circular firing squad. He has accomplished some incredible things, and he's done this. If your efforts don't succeed or if they get on it gets on about it and it fails, his accomplishments will still be there. We should be applauding it for what he's done. I am. I mean, what he says on the radio show, I want to make sure he says the same thing when he goes to all these groups. You know what I mean? That's just good strategy. You've got to just make sure. It went well. He hugged me. What could I tell you? Oh, he's a very smart guy. I think he's like I say, he's an artist working state rep. that I can remember in my 41 years here. I mean, he's actually getting stuff accomplished that has benefited every single property taxpayer right now, right now, currently. He's done that, and he's done it because of the fear of this movement that you have going on. Well, and I asked him, I said, you know, your bill to turn, to make it easier to turn townships into cities, do you think that's going to pass? And he does think it's going to pass. He said it'll probably be after voting day in November. But he thinks it'll pass. So, you know, I think that's a really good thing, a forward thing. And I also like that he took some of these schools off a 20-mill floor, including Poland. You know, I mean, I do. I like those things. So I told them. Right. I don't know. I don't know that people are saying, okay, they want their township to become a city. It's, we shall see. I mean, I can't, I can't give you a read on that as far as people are concerned. And believe me, not everybody's going to want to say, let's switch to an income tax off of a property tax, because in some cases, the income tax could cost them a lot more than the property tax. So, I mean, it's a very individual situation for people. The bottom line is, even if you can modify property taxes, but basically... People are saying, get the tax off of our property altogether. We should own it, and the government shouldn't have a say-so in it. Yeah, they shouldn't be able to take our homes. The one thing about Florida, though, I don't know that that includes the education piece. When they say they're getting rid of property taxes, I don't know that that also includes education. I don't know that they went that far. They're supposed to have something on, Ron DeSantis wants to have something on in the November ballot. What that is, is yet to be determined. But what's interesting is he's the governor champion saying, listen, for Florida residents, we have got to do something about these property taxes. So, and I believe I heard him say that every year they're spending less money as state government. They're reducing their spending, and they've done it for several years. I'm thoroughly impressed with Ron DeSantis. I mean, I would...

I hate to see him leave as the governor of Florida. I would love to see him run as presidents. I think you'd make a great president, but it's sad. Term limits are a good thing and a bad thing. Term limits, term limits, term limit a guy like that out of office, and he's an excellent governor, and that's what I don't like about term limits. Right, right. Yep. So, Friday, I'm going to be a Rogers flea market. If anybody wants to sign the petition, I'll be in the process. Now, how does that go? I mean. Do they get people at the Rogers flea market? Oh, sometimes it's mobbed. Really? Yeah, and this should be a really, it's going to be great weather, so it could be, we could get really slammed this time. Yeah, it's a good place to go. You get a lot of counties, like 15 different counties easily. Yeah, it's good. And then I just want to plug, there's a new permanent signing station in East Liverpool. So if you live in East Liverpool, it's called Nana's Primitives. It's on 621 St. Clair Avenue, and they're collecting. Youngstown's News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570. WKBN. Looking at the market today, the Dow's down 490. Dow falls 400 points as oil prices and bond yields creep higher. So the Dow's down almost 500. The S&P's down 45. The NASDAQ's down 227. The Russell's down 38. So, bad day on the markets. Bad day in the markets. Dow falls 400 points as oil prices and bond yields creep higher. Let's see, stocks fell. Oil prices following the U.S. and Iran launching new strikes. West Texas Intermediate Futures rose 2% to 96 per barrel. Well, Brent Crude gained 2% to around 98 per barrel.

I told you that's arts Berman. He's a geologist oil, oil guy. He says that he thinks it's just his opinion. Like they say he could be right. He could be wrong. He thinks oil could end up being around $160 to $180 a barrel. If these things aren't resolved by July, this thing drags on. He thinks oil could go into those. I mean, those are pretty significant numbers. I mean, there's some people saying that if this thing drags on, oil prices are, the price of a barrel of oil is going to go up substantially, and inflation is going to come back. It'll be spin your head. And God, I hope that's not the case. Trump said on Wednesday that Iran agreed to not have nuclear weapons, but he added they can change their mind. Okay, so they didn't agree to anything if they can change your mind. The president's comments came after the conflict in the Middle East grew more intense and pushed oil prices higher. I think Iran is saying Iran might have the strategy of will kind of hold off until we get close to the midterms. Iran, I think their philosophy might be time is on our side. Because as much as you're devastating us, we'll devastate you economically. and you'll pay a price during the midterms, and people will pay a price as well. Financially, we shall see. You're on here. Yeah, but, I mean, would it blow off your toupee? I don't have a toupee. Just kidding. Okay. I know, I know, I know. I don't think we should worry about California in their mother states. They're trying to figure their stuff out, just like we're trying to figure out. But what I don't understand is, why did the electric companies that are, but we're buying electricity off of, say they have to have a raise after what they did to us quite a few years back. And yet now they're out there begging for a raise. so that they can continue on with what they got. It was not our fault that they lost all that money. And now they want to make it up. I don't think that's fair. I tell them suffer. Yeah, but the problem is you need them and you end up suffering if they don't. It's not one of those businesses that can go out of business. Let's put it that way. Well, you're paying more for the electricity period because of the supply and demands that's going on for it now. So, I mean, the cost of my electricity has doubled. It used to be roughly a little under a nickel and now it's more close to a dime. So it's doubled in cost, just the electricity itself. Now, if you're talking about they want more money for the transmission part of it, is that what you're talking about? Yeah, well, whatever they want to do. I mean, people are out there trying to put up, you know, the solar panels to help cut their bill, and the guy wanted to build a farm to put solar panels up. They cut him off on that. All that would have dumped right in and would have helped.

ease the burden of them getting electricity. Stand by for me. Stand by. I'm going to come back to him after the break. And, uh, always an interesting gentleman. And let me go back and check in with this guy. So for some reason, I find you intriguing. Just to bear with me for a bit, roughly how old are you? 74. All right. And you're retired. And would you describe yourself, how would you describe yourself as a liberal, conservative, moderate, from a political viewpoint? I'm a Republican that is moderate, not a moderate Republican. I'm a Republican that is moderate. But by the way we can vote for presidents in the United States, I can vote to the Democratic side if I wish. All right. And how do you assess at 74 when you look at things today, how do you think things are going? Not well, not well at all. You see, in my line of thinking, I've watched over this stuff. for many years, many, many years. And I've seen the biggest takeaway I get from it is that this country is in a fight. And the fight is corporations and millionaires. And they want to tell people, woe was me when I got to pay more taxes. But did any woe was me when I got... When I got a paycheck, when I made the overtime, no, I had to pay my fair share. And yet these guys continuously want, but when they do, and at the end of the year, and I've been, like I said, 30 years I've been watching this, every time them big corporations at the end of the year, oh, well, we paid this much in taxes. But again, that's a two-sided, that's a two-sided knife. Meaning, if they decide they crunch the numbers. We're going to have to pay a million dollars in taxes, but we'll give it to a nonprofit organization and we can deduct it. And that's okay because that's the way the tax law is written. But it's because the same thing can be done for me, depending on what I make. But the biggest problems that went all the way back to... Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt. He went after them because they weren't paying their fair share, and they said, we don't, we pay so much now. And it's always been a fight between big business, big money, and the man working on the ground. And that's, that I've seen that time and time and time again, not just to where I work, but all over the United States and big corporations and big money. And we've always had that fight. And every time we get to go to somebody's going to say they're going to do something about it, somehow it never comes. It just never comes. Now, take for instance, they're talking about taking away the early voting through ballots. The state of Ohio, impressively, like many, many, many states.

Their results of showing people who shouldn't have voted or voted illegally were found, sought out, and it was discussed. It got straightened out. But you take certain states that, and they're seeing it now, and hopefully they'll straighten that out. It evolves. It keeps going on. Just like you and me, we evolve. And we can't help but evolve, because we have to evolve either in a negative way or a positive way. And most of the time, we try to evolve in a positive way. Well, yeah, because as you grow older, you become wiser, hopefully, and you learn more, and you can change your opinion, or times change, or things change. Nothing stays. Nothing stays. You taught a do math. So when it come down to math, it took my granddaughter nine years old to teach me how to do the math the way they did it, Absolutely. Wow, that works. Yeah, but would you say, though, part of the problem might be a spending problem more than a taxing problem? I believe the biggest major problem is we don't have enough people to follow up on who is getting this free or half free money. And we just don't have. enough people to take down and take a look, okay. We're going to look at, what kind of money does he really make? Does he deserve food stamps? Does he deserve health program? You know, that sort of stuff. We don't have enough people to measure out the real differences here. But the conservative Republicans, oh, we've got to cut government. We've got to cut government. So when you've got cut government, I mean, how many years now does it take for income taxes? to be checked out. We just did ours. Now it's going to take seven to nine years before they can even get to you or me, most likely. It's like they get this big, huge barrel, and each person gets to reach in or pull out a name or a company. Okay, we'll do their taxes. And if their taxes come out wrong, okay, we caught them. But what about the other group that they didn't catch? We don't have enough people to look over other people's shoulders to make sure the job is done. Right. In other words, we should have more investigators to make sure that people that are ripping us off. Well, we can see it both in Minnesota. We can see it in Ohio where people are literally making millions of dollars. fraudulently, where these Somalian communities, and people aren't checking up on their leering centers or their hospices or their autism centers. You're right. Up there, they got caught because they were able to get away with it, but it was American citizens. who actually were doing most of it. It wasn't all just Somalian. Well, no, I mean, it was, in the large part, it was the Somalian community. Just as we were coming to find out, I'm not saying that there aren't some Americans involved in it, too, but a large part we're finding the same communities involved in it in the state of Ohio. What you're saying is, and I agree, where was the follow-up to somebody actually going to see, does this person have, is this elderly person?

have a family relative that's given them care and what type of care? Or is there really a hospice center here? Or is there really something dealing with autism here as opposed to these phony storefronts and this kind of stuff? I'm in total agreement with you. But in general, don't you think government's gotten too big when I say it's a spending problem? I don't think everybody's problems should become my problems. I don't think it's up to me to pay taxes to solve everybody's problems. Don't you think that there should be consequences to your actions, and you have to live with it? It's not up to me to say, we're taking more of your money because of the dumb decisions this person made. Okay, I understand what you're saying. And yes, I agree, but half-heartedly, many years ago when I came here to this state, and I was in desperate need of food stamps. That's all I wanted. the parking lot with my gas tank on three gallons. It's going to take me a gallon I have to get back to where I'm at. So here I am looking and I'm saying I don't want to do this. I shouldn't have to do this. I can't find a job. So finally a woman pulls up in a cotton picking brand new Cadillac with her 60 or 90 day or what a 30 day tags on it. She gets out. opens up the trunk, pulls out a nasty coat, nasty pair of pants, takes her shoes off, puts some nasty shoes on, I beat her to the door. Only to find out when I sat down next to her that he or she was working for General Motors. So let's take this now, six more years later. I got caught in a jam because I got laid off at work. So I went in, and I said, I need food stamps. The girl looked at me and says, well, we have all this other. I don't need the others. I need food to put on the table. And an argument commenced. I says, no, dear, I don't need that. I'm making, I'm barely getting by without employment, but I can get by and push my way through. And when I get back to work, I'll do my bills, like most people would do. But some people, okay, well, yeah, I paid into it. I should have it. I should get it. Well, I didn't. A few years later, the same thing happened. That's when Reagan stepped in, and the next thing I know, I'm laid off. I go in and get the food stamps. I see a lady. She's sitting in front of me. She's going to check all the paperwork out. I says, all I want is food stamps. She denied me the food stamps. I had all the material there, so I asked for her supervisor. supervisor came down and said, what seems to be the problem? I said, take a look at my paperwork. I said, all I want is food stamps. He says, you don't want anything else? No. Well, then he looked over at the woman that was administrating the whole thing and checking it out. And he said, well, what seems to be the problem here? Now, this is the truth. She said he works for this company. And my husband worked for the same company, and he hid money. My ex-husband hid money. He looked at her and frowned, said, sign it. She signed it, and then he signed it, and I got my food stamps. Later on in the year, they changed the whole thing where all you had to do was mail it in. So I went back to work in April, told him I was at work.

I got to work two weeks to get a paycheck. So I thought, well, we'll get through this. The next thing, I know I get food stamps May, June, July, August, September. Now, my wife's a nervous wreck. We have all these food stamps. You've been sitting all the paperwork, has it been right? Well, when I got the food stamps the second time, I started copying all the paperwork. Yeah. And I went back in anyhow. They come back in. I went to bring the food stamps in, took a day off, went in, got it all checked out. She says, I don't understand this. I said, get the supervisor back. He'd come back. And I said to him, what had it happen. He said, I don't understand this either, sir. Well, I picked up this little brown bag, put it up there and pulled all the food stamps out that I wasn't really supposed to get. His answer, now grab this. His answer is, we have no paperwork. for you to give us back the food stamps. Check, countercheck. You see what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. So, and this is why we need people to look over people, and somehow I kept getting missed. All right. And he said, well, go ahead and use them. You've got them. Go ahead and use them in the years to come. You'll be working and you'll be paying it all back. Mm-hmm. It's a matter of, like you said, we didn't have enough people. COVID came in, and they just rubber-stamped the checks going out the door because we didn't have enough people. We still don't have enough people to catch fraud. And then when this administration started screaming, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud. Now we got a bunch of people that were taken off other jobs instead of hiring other people to look for the fraudsters. Now, they've got to take their time away from what they were doing, which God only knows must be needed because they wouldn't have a job. And they're looking for fraud, excuse me, looking for fraudsters, and guess what? Now we're finding them. Now we're out hot pursuit. So I, it's a tough, it's not an easy answer, like I'm saying. Big money, big corporations think they run this country. They're the only ones that know how to make this country work. And all over the world and in major countries, they're not really having this kind of problem because they sought it out and they fixed it. It's the best they can, like anything else that evolved. But it never evolves here in the United States. When you were working and you would go on strike, I mean, when you were not working, that's because you guys were on strike? No, sir. The company said when Reagan stepped in there, they were allowed to go all the way back to the era of depression and get rid of people and just barely get by with skeleton crews. All right, so you lost your job? Is that right? No, I got laid off. Okay, you got laid off from General Motors. Well, I'm not going to say because it's... Well, I mean, I assume. I don't know if I'm right or not, but you got laid off. Correct. After working, how long? I was into my sixth or seventh year. Okay. All right. And how long did it take you to find another job or did you wait until they called you back? Oh, I had to go look for other jobs and I worked here a little bit, there a little bit.

And then I got back called back most of the time was always in April. And then after that year, I never was laid off again. Thank God. All right. And your assessment today is that things were in bad shape today, in your opinion? Oh, yes, they are. I mean, there should be in my eye. my mind, if we make 20 million barrels of fuel a day extra, and Trump is now going into that emergency strategic oil now, he's been into it three times. It's at its lowest peak it's ever been. And there's no sign, and there's nothing in course to replenish it. It's going to be the next president's job and the president after him to rebuild that. the prices down. All right. So you're concerned about the prices going up in inflation, obviously. Well, yeah, well, here's the other part. If these big businesses, take a look. Oh, well, they got used to paying that much. We'll just lower it down a 50 or 75 cents. Right, but the people that were involved in it all paid a dear price for it. And, I mean, that is what justice is all about. So you should be pleased. And I think, aren't you overlooking it? They pay 200. They want to get that 278 mil back. That's why your KWH on your electric bill is double. No, that isn't why. You are paying more for electricity, and I sincerely, let's put politics out of it because it is a supply and demand issue, but I'm just trying to be straightforward with you. The war on coal was a real thing that happened. I don't want to get into the war. No, but I mean, it's important for you to understand why you're paying more. You don't want to hear the reason for it. you don't want to get political. That is as political as you can get. But that is, but if I say to you that, that the, that Obama and Clinton and John Kerry and Biden, that they wanted. believe in, I don't believe any of that. Well, do you remember the war on coal? I don't believe any of it. I'm sorry, but I don't. Well, why do you think they regulated that Samus plant out of business with all the scrubbers on and insisted it be torn down without anything to replace it? That was the Obama administration that did that. I mean, why do you, you can say to you... I mean, you know, you get very... We'll stand by. Just stand by. Just stand by. Hang on. From ABC News, I'm Michelle Franzen. Iran in the U.S. trading strikes. This time in Kuwait, the Pentagon says it shot down drones targeting U.S. forces in Kuwait. Kuwaiti's airport also heavily damaged. ABC's Karen Travers has more on new remarks by President Trump. In a new podcast interview that was released today, the president has said he hadn't made up his mind about making a deal with Iran or potentially going back to major combat operations and major strikes against Iran. He was asked what that would do. He said it would achieve. certainty but I do think it's important to underline here we've heard the president repeatedly every time he talks about this situation say that Iran's military capabilities have been decimated but what we see with these strikes overnight show that they still have capabilities to carry out something that can have deadly consequences the Senate could start voting as early as tonight on legislation to fund immigration enforcement agencies voting put on hold over bipartisan backlash of President Trump's so-called anti-weaponization Fund created as part of a settlement related to President Trump's IRS case. The President and DOJ have since nixed the fund after a judge put a temporary freeze on the $1.8 billion. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin on Capitol Hill, testifying about immigration operations, along with security preps for the World Cup, which kicks off next week. Mullen says they're ready, but there are challenges for what he likened to 78 Super Bowls across U.S. cities over the next month. I feel very comfortable. and we feel like we have a zero fell mission. But it's going to be complicated. We have five to seven million visitors coming in. We have some very complicated countries that are going to be playing each other that have a tremendous amount of just like against each other. In California, a hostage standoff and bomb threat at a bank in downtown Bakersfield is over. Police say the suspect is dead. All 10 hostages were released unharmed. Police say they don't have a motive. On Wall Street, stock's ending lower today. You're listening to ABC News.

Now, when you go home, you look at your bill, and you look under usage information for meter number and whatever your meter number is. You look under there and see how many kilowatt hours you actually use for that month. Yeah. Okay. And then get back to me, and then I'll compare them with my... 1,144KWH, which was an actual reading that I had, and we'll see how much usage you had at that point. And you'll see why your bill is high. Well, I can honestly answer your question, and I'm going to do it, and then you can be quiet, and you can either say whatever. But I'm going to go back to this. Just bear with me for a second. I am trying to let you know that there's ramifications to things, and I know it might not be what you want to hear. But here's why, okay, once again, once again, I can't even get three sentences out. Just allow me to indulge me. Just indulge me for a minute to open, open your eyes. The cost of electricity has gone up because of the war on coal. Now, I can't make it, there's politics involved because it was the green energy people. These people were Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Biden, and that whole. contingent of people that said they're buying into this green energy stuff. This war on coal that happened with Hillary Clinton and Obama was very much a real thing. So I'm not talking about China. I'm talking about right here in the area that you live in. So what they did...

was they put regulations on coal plants because they wanted to get rid of coal. So they regulated them out of business. It didn't matter that the Sammas plant had the most modern technology and the scrubbers and all this stuff. They wanted to regulate them so that they put them right out of business. And they were successful in doing that. And they made a law, a rule that when you closed it down, you had to tear it down because they didn't want you to have the ability to turn it back on. So this was the Obama Clinton tenure. They regulated it out. You had to tear it down. We tore down perfectly good. coal producing plants, which would be very expensive to build today. That was their goal. And they didn't have anything to replace the power generation of that plant. They didn't think that through to say, well, this is going to pick up that load. They didn't care. It was a green energy deal. As a result of moves like that. Just hear me out. As a result of moves like that, and whether you like it or not, Trump has stopped. The order from Trump now is you cannot tear any of these coal plants down. But as a result of tearing these plants down, not having anything to replace it, the war on coal. That then, of course, demand going up with data centers and what have you. The price of electricity has gone up because you've created a supply and demand and a shortage issue all at the same time because of this. Now all of a sudden, it's okay. Even these green energy people, like Bill Gates in that, now they realize that they need these data centers and they'll make a ton of money from it. These green energy people all of a sudden are for coal plants. They're for nuclear power. They're for fossil fuels because the people were against it are now for it because that's what they need to run their facilities, whether it's Facebook or Google or whoever it might be. I'm not making this stuff up. I'm just saying if you take a look at it, that's why. you're paying more. I'm not any happier than you are. My electric rate has doubled. That's why it has doubled, and it very well will go up even higher because the supply and demand issue continues to, they bid on this stuff, continues to go up. My concern is, I share the concern with you. I am concerned about having affordable. utilities for people. I dwell on it every day that you've listened. I am sitting here. I'm not screwing with you. I'm genuinely, genuinely give a damn about even the people who can't stand me who get tired of me. I'm here every day trying to do something that lower people's property taxes, successfully getting some things done.

I'm not a cheerleader. So you stay tuned. I'm critical to Trump today and continue to be over this war situation and the mess he got this country in. And I don't think it's working out very good at the present time. I hope I'm wrong when the dust settles. I'm afraid that you can see an oil shortage. I'm afraid that you can see more expensive oil. as we get into June and July to where it could go well beyond $120 a barrel and put a hurt on everybody. So I'm not going to be like you and say, well, you can't make it about politics because if that happens, it is about politics. It's about what he did. I rest my case, Your Honor. Well, evidently. You have, and I probably shouldn't have brought it up in the first place because you're very well versed because you went on there for 10 minutes about Ohio Edison and the energy and all this. Just trying to let you know why prices went up. That's all I'm trying to do. I'm not an expert on it. I never was. All I see, the person that I am is that I see.

administration and the Republicans will not admit to it. I admit to it. That's what I'm trying to. And I just heard you say about Trump and how you're, I get it. I understand. Okay. Have you listened to me? The mag is out there. They are going to believe until the day they die. Well, okay. Back on the Capitol. Listen, listen, listen for a second. I'm not a fan of Mike DeWine. If you agree to that, then I should probably not even call your show, seriously. Because, let me put it this way. Well, you keep going back on stuff. Listen, I am. If you're not going to, if you're not going to, if the Republican Party is not going to live by the rules that the rest of us live. by, then I have to break the rules to make sure you confirm to the rules of this country. Does that make any sense? No. Okay, well, think about it. Think about what I just said, because it does. If you are going to, not you, if the Republican Party is going to continue down the path of lies.

country with everybody under their thumb and turn it into a third world nation, then I'm going to have to do something, meaning the other side is going to have to do something to make that party conform and get around to what the laws and regulations that we have been used to in this country for the past 250 years. Are those laws that we're used to over 250 years, laws about having women or men in women's locker rooms? Are those the laws you're referring to? No, are those the laws that you talk about for 250 years that means an open border and everybody can walk in? Are those the laws? Bring that up because I bet you don't even know one person that is LBGTQ or whatever it's called. I'll bet that you don't even know. one person that is gay. Yes, I do. Okay, so you do. But so what? That is not a, that is, you bring that up, that's just a talking point. No, it's not a talking point. There are people that the Democratic Party is siding in that direction. They are. They are not signing. They most certainly are. 95% of Democrats, that same question, and they'll say you're nuts. They are the ones championing it with the whole nonsense. I haven't heard anybody talk about that. In months. That is where the party is. They stand for it today. They're the party of the transgenderism. They're the party of you can wish yourself a woman. Men can have babies. They can't even define a woman. You put forth a candidate on the Supreme Court that won't even answer what a woman is. They don't even want to call a mother a mother. They don't want to say boys and girls. That's your party. Suck it up. That's your party. I can sit here and say to you. You lack the ability. I can sit here and say to you, I agree with the court that Trump's name should have never been on the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Center. I can sit here and say to you, I think this was a mistake Trump getting into this war. I can sit here and say to you there are things about Trump that bother me when he turns on his fellow supporters and some of the stuff that he does. Because I'm not a cheerleader like you. I don't have blinders on like you. I can criticize the guy I voted for, even though I'd vote for him again, because overall I agree with what he's doing. But I can sit here and criticize the stuff I don't agree with. And if he creates all this inflation, we'll certainly be talking about it. But you lack the ability, you lack the ability to admit your party is into the freaky social stuff. I don't think I want to ask you anything more. I think I've had enough for you.

That was sparked by your volley with Fifth Avenue. Yes. Which is why I called you a class. I mean, just you're a class act blood boiler. Okay. So this is about the week before Trump got elected the second time. And as I did on the first one, I had the feeling he was going to get elected for the second time. And I'm sitting at my dining room table. There are two college graduates in the area of counseling and another brilliant student. And they're related to me, two or three are related to me. And they're having a conversation. as clear as day, like as serious as it can be about what they're studying in school, about how all these, like trying to justify what LVTQ is and LBTQ plus. And, you know, and we were actually, I was paying for this, right? And then, and by the way, this was at a time when I was going through and being injected with all kinds of drugs and everything. And as I'm listening to this, I said to myself, Okay, God, I've seen enough. I'm ready to go. Okay? I literally said that to myself, okay? Which now I'm glad I didn't see. But I looked at these kids and I said, I don't mean to tell you what to do. Well, I said what I say, everything you're discussing right now is not going to matter in a week.

And sure as could be, all of it just disappeared. For Fifth Avenue to say that Democrats don't do that and didn't do that. I mean, we've got a lot of people around here that are like normal Democrats, not all like that, but all those people in charge in the Democrats, that's all they were doing and talking to people at the educational level when they were having huge impact. I mean, think about that. They were teaching that to, like, college-educated people are going to be in charge of people. It was so on the edge of being dangerous to our society that I was just, I seriously said to myself, okay, God, I've seen enough. I'm ready to go. Really? You reminded me of that, yes. You reminded me of that as I was like listening to him in denial about that. Now, I'm not saying anything about anybody else or, you know, that nobody's at fault, like you said, if somebody's an idiot, I'll call them an idiot, if I think they're an idiot. But that was just crazy dangerous to be brainwashing all of our children and everything into this contrived. stuff that is so far from physical reality that it just made no sense at all. It's almost like trying to get everybody to use solar panels so the big corporations could actually use all the energy that we make, and we'd all be stuck with the solar panels. Yes. You follow me? I'm listening to every word you're saying. You know, I mean, it was crazy. I just... Do you remember that time period? Absolutely, I remember it. I mean, it wasn't that long ago. I mean, people have hard time. Listen, as I've said a million times, you know, as well as anyone as a listener. I'm not here to cheerlead for anybody. I don't care if they're Republican or Democrats. I think Mike DeWine is God-awful as a governor with the cover-up that's going on with all of this fraud. When I talk, do you think that because if you're a conservative that I can make a justification for Mike DeWine with the fraud that's taking place and his lack of taking action on it? Do you think I can support Mike DeWine by giving a sales tax break to the data centers? I think that stuff's ridiculous. What am I supposed to sit here and say, oh, if you're a Republican, you better not criticize a Republican for doing that type of Astine stuff, or I'm not supposed to sit here and criticize something that I disagree with Trump on? Well, then you're a phony. Then you're a fraud. Then you're nothing, then I don't know what the point is. I mean, I can disagree with Trump on some issues, but I still think he's a far better choice than anything the Democrats have. Far better. I mean, I think the Republicans have better choices. I think Ron DeSantis would make a great president. I think he's a terrific governor. I think we just got more bench strength in the Republican Party than the wackos and the Democrat Party in their wacky agenda. Period. I mean, would I vote for Amy Acton for governor? Absolutely not.

Do you know why I think Ron's verb should be governor or senator? Why? I don't know if you remember our last conversation, but you asked me if we should put the data centers in right now. And I said, no, because they are not, they are not collecting taxes from them. And you remember that? I don't know. A lot of people talked to you, but that was my response. Do you know two days later? The governor came out and revoked that and started saying they were going to. I mean, do you think he listens? I don't know. But you're pretty powerful and you don't realize it. And I think there's, so I would love to see you, you know, put down the microphone just for that reason. Other than that, you can just stay here and drive us all crazy for the rest of the night. But listen, Michael. There's a time is ticked by. Listen, I sincerely and greatly appreciate that. What do you think about that? No, no, no, no. You're like a little kid in the store, is what I hear. Well, you can't get your, you can't get any Dr. Pepper. No, I'm off the pop altogether. Well, no, I tell everybody. Now, she gets upset. See, folks, I go, here's my M.O. When I go to, when I go to Meyer, I go in the door in Austin Town and I go directly to the back wall. I now, my wife thinks it's insane. I buy. pre-made, unsweetened iced tea that is just filtered water and tea. That's the only ingredients in it. It's made by, you buy a gallon of it. It's from Milos. It's in the back cooler. My's had it. Milos, and I go right to the back. I grab one or two of those. And they, and they were four bucks a gallon. Now it's 420. The inflation. It's going up to 420. Right. And I, right. I get that because. I don't drink any pop anymore. And she says to me, you know, I make iced tea and I could make that for 50 cents.

And I said, yeah, but I'd rather buy it here in this jug. And I'd just like the taste of it. And that's it. You know what I mean? This is what happens. This is I, like you going, you going to the flea markets in four seasons flea markets, you can see live and in person, the boss lady. When is that going to be Sunday? Sunday 9 to noon. Yep, we'll be there to collect signatures. And I don't, I think somebody, did Denise call in and say about the announcement on Friday? Okay. Yeah, so we'll learn on Friday. We, you know, we're just going to keep going until we're told stop. In case we don't have the number, we'll just keep collecting. I'd be interested. But my focus has been on, you know, budgeting, taxpayers, just common sense, day-to-day government. So it's really not about me. It's really about whether the people of the county are ready for that kind of leadership and approach. And sometimes I think they are. A lot of times I think they're not because then you look at some of the ways that they're voting on. Right. You know? No, you're 100% right. But see, that's real. What you said is absolutely real. I mean, I would almost snicker at these people acting like they're happy to be at these gatherings. And I thought, once again, you're there because you're seeking votes. President Trump maintains that Iran wants to finalize a deal, even as the Pentagon confirmed it shot down Iranian drones attempting to attack U.S. forces in Kuwait. The president, brushing off concerns it could jeopardize the ceasefire. You're not say in that part of the world, ceasefires when you're shooting. in a more moderate matter. ABC Selena Wang has more on rising tensions and a war that is dragging into a fourth month. The president said this was going to be a four to six week war. We have way blown past that deadline. We're in this tenuous ceasefire, yet the U.S. and Iran continued to exchange fire, not to mention the president for weeks now has been saying that we're close to a deal with Iran, but we have seen lots of whiplash starts and stops. Primary races across states yesterday, including California, results. For the top two candidates in the mayoral race in L.A. are still being tallied. ABC's political director, Avery Harper, has more. When you look at the vote count, and at last check, Karen Bass was at about 35% of the vote. Spencer Pratt was just behind her at about 30. And then that progressive councilwoman, Nithya Raman, she was at about 22% of the vote. There's a little bit of a cork in California in that votes will still be counted as long as they are postmarked by Election Day and they are received within... seven days of election day. So it could be a while before we actually know who is going to go up against Karen Bass. The governor's race is also still undecided in that state. New details in the hours long standoff at a bank in Bakersfield, California that ended in the death of a suspect who said he had a bomb. FBI special agent in charge Sid Kash Patel identifying the suspect as Anthony Scott Seerles Harris. He was no stranger to law enforcement and has a criminal history of using weapons to commit violent offenses. In 2014, He was charged with sex acts with a child under 14. I used to work for the company, fire company, that put millions of dollars in the Sammas plant, Bruce Mansfield plan. They took the slurry, and he used the slurry to make drywall, okay? And First Energy did their best to keep up with the government, okay? But every time, this guy don't understand, every time they had to do upgrades, who paid for that? First Energy didn't pay for that. They passed on to us. And the problem is, yes, you are right. These big corporations behind the scene, they're behind it.

These liberal lacroses, they were behind the windmills and the new green energy deal. But you're right. There was no plan B. There's no plan B. So now we have Samus. I don't understand. I talked to a guy that's, so you saw firsthand all the modifications that they did down there. And this grumpy old liberal, he don't understand this. Who paid for that? We'd pay for that. First energy don't pay for that stuff. They pass it down to the consumer. And there was no plan B. I'm all for clean energy. I mean, I don't want to put the air. There's doggone it. You got to have a – there's no plan B. Yeah, but you were familiar with the plan. That plant was updated down there. How do you pronounce it? Is it Sammis? Is that how you say it? Sammas, yeah. We know Sammas, yeah. I mean, so that plant had all the most modern technology in it. And they took – And the engineers are smart enough. They got down at the table. What do we do with this waste lorry? They made drywall. They made drywall. And we had to put miles and miles and miles and miles of a conveyor across these fields to get to the river to go into the barges. For the coal or the drywall? For the slurry to make drywall. And that is how they do make drywall. I wonder how they're going to do that with the coal plants going away. I don't know. You should ask you a liberal. He probably has a plan B sitting in his front yard, yelling at the kids with his new trespassing signs. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you listen to these people. Ron, I don't know how you sit there and listen to these people. But I mean, just from you being there, look at that facility and look at how expensive it would be to duplicate that today, to duplicate that. So it was a facility that had all the most modern stuff on it, and it was a coal plant that generated a ton of power. And idiot politicians who know very little about it regulated it out of business and insisted it be torn down. And as they're tearing it down, they're selling the major parts out of it to other countries that say. I mean, they're taking out the generators. They're taking all of this stuff out of there. And China and these other countries are buying it. So. And see. We, and then our couple still, remember Cople still over there? Yes. Okay. Our company put a $7 million furnace over there. Okay, this back when traffic, it was in, you know, and he fought and fought and fought to keep all his plants open, okay? They tore the plant down, or they shut the plant down. They sold that furnace for $7 million to the Russians.

Yep, yep, yep. But on another note, you know, you think they were sat down with the energy experts and with the people that wants to make money with the windmills and the green, and sit down like intelligent people like the private industry would do, and go over, listen, we want to incorporate this Green Deal stuff, but let's sit and use our common sense. What is a plan B? Okay, do we back off a little bit at a time with coal or subsidize? the coal with green energy. No. You've got these politicians are in bed with these thinking these special interest groups, and they're all paid off. They're all multi-multimonyers making $170,000 a year. You know what I'm saying? Who's the one who holds the back? You and I? And Mr. Liberal with no trespassing signs. I'm saying, well, I mean, people, liberals got to wise up, okay? We're all in this together. There's no such thing as donkeys and elephants. We're all in this together. You know what I'm saying? You go to Russia. You go to China. You go these, India, they're polluting the air. And they don't understand. We don't live in a globe. We don't live in our own environment. It stuff comes over here. You know, they tie our hands, but they can pollute. So, but all right, buddy, I don't know how you sit there and listen to that. I just, God bless you. But, yeah, they did put millions of dollars in both plants to try to keep up, and First Energy tried. They kept moving the Gold Post, and they just couldn't do it anymore. They shut them down. It's a damn shame, isn't it? You know, good-paying jobs gone. You know what I'm saying? And it's, the cold, the truck drivers that brought the coal in, it's a ripple effect. I mean, they release all these videos, and I'm watching the videos, and it's like this is the best footage you can give me. I mean, some dot going in all these different directions and that kind of stuff. Is it too much to ask for how about some clearer footage of something that looks like a spaceship or a UFO as opposed? I mean, is it asking too much to see something that? is a little bit more distinguishable? Well, I actually saw one that was really... clear and these two guys were talking, look at that, look at that. And these three spaceships were flying over the mountain and these F-14s or whatever were chasing it. And then I scroll down, you know, you go kind of to the site and it says it was filmed with a combat simulator, basically a video game and they put it on as real. You know, it was totally fake. So what does the government provide us with, like, clear videos? Because they're probably non-existent. I don't know. Do you believe in them, Ron? No. I do not. But, yeah. Is it a... I mean, let me... I do not. Is it a possibility? Anything's a possibility. Am I convinced? No. I mean, do I think they, like they keep saying, well, the government isn't going to tell you the truth because they don't want you to know that we're not alone or people of panic and all that kind of stuff. I don't know how you keep something like that a secret for that long. I mean, with all the people it would be involved in it. So I'm not necessarily buying it. I mean, I just don't. Hey, Ron, you just kill everybody that says anything. But, but, oh, okay. So what, they go out on a date with Hillary Clinton? The next thing you know, they're missing and dead. But, I mean, when people ask the question, which is, it does intrigue me, well, how do the pyramids, there's always a speculation that somehow some other type of processor, some other type beings were here to build the pyramids because we didn't have the know-how or the technology to do something like that.

Well, that does make me stop and think. I mean, I do think about that. How were those pyramids built? Or maybe they just had more slaves than you, Ron, to push all these rocks. No, it is. It's very intriguing, the pyramids. Yeah. But the woman that called yesterday, she said her boyfriend was showing her all this stuff. Yes. She was, like, exposing everything. So you think that's going to be her last call ever? I think they're going to come down and take her away. I just, I think all of this stuff. Let me put it this way. I think the government lies to you over a lot of stuff. I think they've lied to you about Agent Orange in Vietnam. I think they've lied to you about the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. assassination. I don't believe a lot of stuff the government tells you at all. I think so much of it, I don't believe the unemployment numbers. I don't believe the inflation numbers. I think that they're skewed for politics. I think that they're not accurate at all. whether they're Republicans or Democrats. So how can you fix a problem if you don't have accurate information? So I think that stuff skewed for politics. So I think they basically skew a lot of stuff. I mean, it's, I don't think Epstein committed suicide. I don't think Lee Harvey Oswald was it when it came to the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. assassination. I think there's more to these Trump assassinations in Charlie Kirk than meets the eye. I'm very suspicious of all of that stuff. And the government has given me cause to question what they've told me over the years time and time again. As I go back, Victoria Newland, we don't have bio labs in the Ukraine. Oh, wait a minute. The Russians are all coming into the Ukraine and they're going for the bio labs to shut them down. Oh, well, we do have them. So they were lying to us and then they had to admit to it. I mean, so why should I believe? I think Anthony Fauci's a gigantic liar in covering up the whole COVID situation. I think COVID's a massive cover-up, as far as I'm concerned. Massive cover-up. Anthony Fauci should be in jail. And I think the Russian collusion thing with Hillary Clinton and all of those people against Trump is a massive... government corruption and in cover. That leads me to the point. Another successful thing that Trump did. with them coming after him so hard and so frequently, he exposed the deep state. This is something, you know, one of his accomplishments that nobody talks about, but he brought all this to light. Like, I don't, 10 years ago, you wouldn't even believe all this was possible that they're going to, you know, bring all these lawsuits against a former president, impeach him twice, go through his wife's underwear drawer. I don't know how Democrats cannot see what happened during, you know, that period and not say, oh, wow, yeah, there's a deep state. And, you know, they're controlling the world. Mm-hmm. I think, I think there, I think there is a deep state. I genuinely do. And I think it's, and I think there's a lot of evil out there in the world. Definitely a lot of evil. So I'm not, I don't participate in the, where the Biden type mentality when they strickened somebody's view because you disagree with their viewpoints. I just don't agree with that. And I never have, and I haven't done it in 41 years. It doesn't matter whether I agree or disagree with you. I want to hear your thoughts and your opinion and your comments and try to understand why you think the way you do. So when you say that kind of stuff, in a lot of cases, like I say over the years, people just don't like it when we have a conversation with somebody that has, perhaps a liberal opinion or a different opinion than they have. And I don't want the program ever to become just an echo chamber of agreeing with all of that kind of stuff. As I say, you saw that censorship. I don't believe in that. You saw that censorship in COVID. Only the people that agreed with the government scenario on the origins of COVID were allowed on social media. They banned people that were other doctors and scientists that had much differing opinions because they didn't want them to have an opportunity to say what they thought. And ultimately, they ended up being correct. So.

Just because I might not have the same philosophy or the same opinion doesn't mean I am in that I'm not interested in their philosophy or their opinion. We all, life's experiences are all different for all of us. And it's perhaps some of that that makes up our perspectives in life and why we think the way we do and why we reach the conclusions that we do. But just based on life's experiences. and how you were raised. So, I mean, not, so I'm not going to restrict somebody's. views along that way. Now, I will agree with everybody. I mean, G2 is a very educational caller, and that's why I have so many segments with him. G2's live in the bunker on a satellite phone, the very mysterious G2. But he has a lot of wisdom and life's knowledge and a background to explain things to many people as to why, what's going on. I think it's worth listening to. That's why he's on. Let's say all about themselves, people have been doing their own Republican things separate and apart from the party for years. And, you know, some people would call that subversion. But in any case... I just think I'm a much better fit and more loyal to the party for honest reasons, and that I, together with some good officers, will set a better direction for the party in the next four years. I'll put it that way. Well, you've got to admire anybody that's willing to take on that position. You don't get paid for that, do you? No, no. These are, these are just volunteer positions. They're actually precinct committee people, even though it's a publicly elected office, their volunteer positions. There's no pay involved. We do it because we believe in it. And I just... I was put this way. I'm a Republican because I'm a constitutional conservative, not the other way around. You know, I do it out of principle and very deep-seated beliefs. I didn't join the party or run for anything because there was something in it for me. I did it strictly out of strong belief in what we stand for and what we're trying to accomplish. Um, and there was, um, there's credible, uh, reports that Denny met with the, the, the, Kristen Rock, who's the Democrat nominee for commissioner, uh, facing off against Mikeov, should beat Denny in the recent primary at a local restaurant just last week. And eavesdroppers are reporting that they were basically strategizing on how to beat Mike Hovis the Republican in November. So you have to wonder, you know, what kind of a Republican is that that would, you know, out of spite, obviously, try to help the Democrat nominee. against her Republican opponent in the upcoming November election. Well, yeah, I mean, if that's true, and I don't know it is, you're saying that it is. If that's true, that wouldn't reflect very good on a guy that wants to be chairman of the party. There are people that I trust and believe in who told me, yes, it's absolutely true. It happened. Eyewitnesses saw it.

and supposedly eavesdroppers heard a little bit of the conversation. That's just one example. I could go on and on. Obviously, we don't have that kind of time. But it's just, I think I'm a much better example of what a true Republican should be. and it would be a better fit for the party and more welcoming of a broad base of Republicans in the party rather than a tight plan. Yeah. Well, I wish you the best of luck. I give people a thumbs up willing to put themselves out there, particularly when they're running for something that doesn't pay just because they're committed to the organization of the cause. I think it's admirable. A thumbs up and wish you the best of luck. I mean, it's your calling, as they say, right? Yes, yes. One of them, my wife says I spread myself too thin, which is she's probably right. But I get involved in things I believe in my church. I'm in charge of archery ranges out if I had a fishing game.

and Republican Party and Freemasonry. But anyway, you know, that's it. I get involved in things I believe in, not because, you know, there's something coming back benefit to me. And Republican Party is one of them. Right. Well, I got to give you, you got to admire that. I just leave you with this. Keep in mind, life is short. Make sure you don't get involved in so much stuff that you miss enjoying life and live in life. It is, it's not forever, my friends. All right? No, no, it's not. Thank you. I appreciate that. You're absolutely correct. All right. Hang in there. Nice hearing you again. All right. You're on ear. It's great that there are still people that have a sense of community in our area. I was just thinking about, you know, all the politicians of the past in Trumbull County and Mahoning County and how they get remembered. But it's amazing how. The ones that are, how so many of them are remembered for the bad things that they do and not the good things they do. And Jim Traffery comes to mind. He did a lot of good things. There's a lot of the 7-Eleven connector, all that stuff, the buildings downtown that he championed that were never named after him to spite him. It's just amazing how the... the politics in our valley run. I think it's very sad, Jim Trafficking. First of all, I think Jim Traffing was probably one of the smartest political figures in our community. And I think he was an extremely intelligent man. And he was, he did everything that you said, the federal courthouses, the 7-Eleven connector, the Covelli Center, the Air Base. I mean, you can actually see all this stuff as a result of traffic. And the tragedy is, as you have said, not a damn thing has his name on it. And I think that that is sad. The good news is I do disagree with you on one point. I think the majority people in the community look at trafficking very favorably. And certainly if they've been around, they know all that he has done. for the community more than certainly Tim Ryan did in his long tenure and more than any congressperson has done since trafficking. He knew how to play the game and trafficking was a smart guy. He could get people talking. I mean, he could get opponents talking to each other to come to a agreement to get a bill passed. And it was just, you know, I'd listen to him on the radio and they kick it in the clutch. Let's get down the road here and do some good. But, you know, it just amazes me how, you know, that went down. Well, he was one of a kind, but if you go back to that time, I would say to you we had a lot of, we had a lot of better people in office. I mean, I thought Pat Ungiro was a really, really good man. Trafficking was an excellent congressman. I really like George McKelvey a great deal. George McKelvie, he was a substitute teacher at my high school. I met him when I was maybe a junior or a senior. And I'll always remember, you know, he always looked at me to be somebody that he was a very likable person. And I haven't met him. I've heard him on your show since. But I'm always taken back that when he taught him at Champion High School as a substitute teacher for a while.

You know, I say time and time again. I mean, George would sit here and he'd take calls, people to have a complaint, he'd write it down, he'd go on a phone and call and make sure he got dealt with. And he just... He just seemed like he was a public servant. You follow me? It's like, okay, this is what it is. And Pat and Garrow was very much that too. I never got the sense of Pat and Garrow was really too stuck on himself or thought he was better or important. And quite frankly, to be blunt with you, I never got that impression from Jim Trafficking either. I mean, I just seem that they weren't. In all my years with trafficking, he wasn't an egomaniac. Pat and Gere's certainly was an egomaniac. George McKelvey was a public servant. So you take a look at, I'm just trying to go through. I think Ralph Meacham has those qualities today as auditor. I just look at some of the people. I think Dave Thomas is everything good about politics and as a public servant. Unfortunately, Yeah, well, I'll just leave it there. Yeah, I, the one thing I know is looking back on my life and the things that I've been into and the opportunities that I've blown up on my own misbehavior or whatever, I, though, my end result is in my life. Man, I really could have done more with what I had available to me, and I blew the opportunity. And, you know, living, you know, living today and doing what I do and driving down the road and being past retirement age and doing this because it's a good buck and I enjoy it and I'm not going to go sit at home and do nothing. But I just think that all of these politicians today, they're going to look back and that I could have done more had I had a little bit more gravitas or a little bit more gumption to put my foot down. And that's what I think about Mr. Thomas. I met him at a a fundraiser out and champion when the sheriff was running. But I think that he could do more if he stood his ground a little bit better and pushed the issues harder. I think he's accomplished a great deal. I do. I really do. Stand by. Just hang on a second. I think Dave Thomas is one of the hardest working state reps that I've witnessed in 41 years here. I mean, I don't know that he, I mean, the thought that he ran to be state rep because his auditor could see what property taxes were doing to people, the fact that he understands it and is championed all of these changes that have benefited a lot of people. I think is terrific for a guy that just got elected. Would I like to see him run for a higher office at some point? Whether, you know, I guess you go from state rep to state senator. And do I think that I would like to see him go further? Absolutely. If he has a desire to. I mean, I'd absolutely like to see that happen. But I'm very pleased with what he's doing so far. As most. all of us are. I'm not trying to degrade him at all, but with looking, I just hope that, you know, his horizons expand and he expects more and more because the little bit that he got done, you know, it's in a substantial what he did. What he's done for us so far could have been a heck of a lot more, especially, you know, with the property tax thing. trying to get, trying to get, uh, yeah, but I mean, he's not, he's not a king. He's got to get it through the, you know, he was able to come up with it and get it through the, with the Republicans voting for it. And the first time the governor vetoed all the stuff. So he had to do it, do a lot of it all over again. I mean, I, uh, he is a genuinely a public servants. I mean, he has done stuff that will, that will benefit every single property taxpayer. uh in in uh the state everybody will benefit from what what he has done and it's the sad part is a lot of people won't even know it i just i i personally i don't like the exemptions you know because i still work and i make too much money i don't get the uh i can't get the homestead act and all that stuff yeah but but that's income based so i get it you know that it's i don't think it should be though no i agree with how they do it in florida And it's not even age-based down there. The Olmstead exemption is not age-based or income-based or anything. It just has to be, you have to be a Florida residence to get it. I mean, we have some of the highest property taxes around in the state of Ohio, and I think it's ridiculous. So I'm with you. I'm with you. I mean, change has got to happen with it because as time goes on, once again, they're going to price people out of their homes and make it difficult for people to buy a home because all of a sudden you're saying, well, here's your payments and you've got to have insurance if you have a loan. And by the way, here's the property taxes and all of a sudden you start looking at.

That big number for property taxes monthly, it makes a payment shoot way up monthly. And you just make it so people can't achieve the American dream. And to me, that's bull crap. I agree. I agree. Keep working. Keep hustling. I mean, you know, what do they say? You stop moving. You start dying. Hey, stop moving. They throw dirt on you. There you go, man. So you're out there making a buck. How old are you now? 69. I turned 69 in March. But you're collecting your Social Security, right? Right, right. All right. And as I keep on working every year, my Social Security check goes up because I'm going to work. Because you keep paying into it. Good for you. Right. I'm glad to hear it. Do you think you'll quit working at 70? I'll quit working when they don't let me in the truck anymore. Hey, man, it's a joy talking to you. Thanks for calling. I appreciate it. For the first time since the war with Iran began House lawmakers passing a war powers resolution to limit President Trump's use of U.S. forces without a declaration of war or authorization that vote symbolic but shows a growing number of Democrats and Republicans now who don't agree with the president's handling of the war now in its fourth month. President Trump telling reporters he believes a deal with Iran is getting closer and brushed off concerns that the ceasefire won't hold after the Pentagon shot down. Iranian drones targeting U.S. forces in Kuwait. go another two, three weeks and just wipe everybody out. I'd rather not do that. Very easy to do. They're ready to do. They want to do it. They want to do it. But if we can get something down in writing, which will accomplish the same thing without killing everybody, I'd like to do that. In the wake of another Supreme Court decision that weakened parts of the Civil Rights Act, justices issued a decision today in an Alabama case, allowing the state to use a 2,023 congressional map for midterms. elections. California's primary race for the L.A. mayor is still being tallied, incumbent Karen Bass, receiving enough votes to move on to November's runoff election. But Republican Spencer Pratt leads other candidates to become the opposing candidate. ABC political director, Avery Harper has more. It is a warning shot to Karen Bass, the fact that she has to go to a runoff at all. It hasn't been for, you know, at least a couple of decades that an incumbent mayor in Los Angeles has had to go to a runoff because they did not clear that. 50% threshold. And we know this is all coming amid widespread criticism of Karen Bass's handling of those fires in LA that just devastated parts of the city. The governor's race also still undecided. Excitement is building for game one of the NBA finals, the San Antonio Spurs, hosting the New York Knicks. Tip off now just a few hours away. It's a repeat of the 1999 finals between both teams. I mean, you give me an opportunity every, almost every day, and people are sitting online and waiting, and I can understand her frustration. And, you know, and I've been online right now where, you know, you missed you when you came on, thank God you just put me on hold. a little bit earlier, and I walked away from the phone for a moment, but I, no, it's okay. I mean, it really is. It's, you know, sometimes I can call and not bring anything to the conversation, but there's times that I think I do, but they are right. There's some people that do want to make points and have definitely concerns and questions, and, you know, when there's individuals like me or some other people that can kind of drag things on. So I... I'm not apologizing. I'm just going to be very more aware of my time constraints. But I always appreciate you giving me that time. You know, that time. You know, it's always, you've always been good to me. And so how are you doing today? I am doing well. Well, you make a contribution to the broadcast. See, people don't understand that kind of stuff. It's like... And J.J. has a – listen, I'll be the first one to say. J.J. calls it like he sees it. Sometimes he agrees with the liberal of philosophy, and sometimes he disagrees with it. So I don't have a – at least he's honest with himself and everybody else. I mean, there's no rule in a world that says you have to think like everybody else. It's insane. No, I don't. I don't even think like the Democrats. I'm actually a – I'm actually a black sheep of the Democrats, to be honest with you. Some of them don't even even, Emmanuel is called recently, and has to disagree with me almost every time he's called in. So in a way that is, you know, I'm not trying to rock the boat. I'm not trying to, you know, upset anybody, but it's, I don't need, you know, I don't need anybody who is even meaning my way to agree with me. And then there's something wrong there, but I actually looked at, I was listening to some of the broadcasts. Last night, I was, I'm going on Sundays to start selling my artwork at the flea market, and I was getting things prepared to the last night, and I was just listening to some of the... Are you serious? Now, what flea market are you going to be at? Four seasons. The one's up I'm right outside of Youngstander, but the one that, what's your name was talking about? I think it was boss lady that was saying... Now, are you going to be there at the same time she'll be there? Yeah, I'll be, I have to set up by, like, I have to be there by 6 o'clock in the morning to set up for opening at 8, and I got a tent and everything. I'm just going to start to see if my artwork shows a little bit. I'm going to try to push it toward younger people because it's kind of a lot of stuff that has, I can even speak, fluorescent stuff that they might want to hang in their rooms, a lot of space type of spray paint work, and just trying to see if I can make some people happy, and it'll make me happy kind of.

And now I'm only going to be showing most of my stuff under $10. And I just want to see if I'm, you know, I can make a little couple extra dollars since times are tough right now to help my family out. And I'm just going to see it. And I'm going to go over and say hi to her and introduce myself to her. But if anybody comes by, don't throw anything on me. But nonetheless, I was listening to a conversation we had on. I think it was like April 17th. And I was really. I mean. I was like talking about how people think that I don't like, you know, if I don't, I'm not an American. And I was really just, I listening to myself sometimes, I'm embarrassed. You know, and I just said, you know, why did I act like that? And I hung up on you. And then, you know, and I was also hearing about, you know, those emails that I sent you about a year and a half ago, I want to apologize again for that because that wasn't me. And I really treated you like crap. And saying about how you haven't seen the bet, you know, and I just was angry. And I'm sorry for that. Listen, people have a right to lose their. to have passion and lose their cool once in a while. You can't get all bent up and worked out of it. You know, my brother told me that. He says, you're pushing people away. I think recently I've been better. And I think people have been receptive, a little bit more receptive. But I'm not going to please everybody. No. And they're going to have their opinion about me no matter what. And that's okay. And, you know, and I'm going to have my small prejudices too. Well, you're entitled to. Listen, it's your opinion. You're entitled to it. But as I say go back, make sure when you're over at the thing, you go see the boss lady. Make sure you go over and say hello to her. Well, she deserves her. Not that, you know, it matters, but I just would like to introduce myself to her because I've listened to her and it's, and I, you know, it's. It would be nice to meet people that think differently from me. And it's a good way to bring both sides together. I try to do that. And if I can, then maybe I can have some input. But I just wanted to give you a call and let you know that I'll be more aware of it. And I thank you again for everything you do. Bye, my friend. You're a better person. Thank you. Thank you. I just want to make mention of one thing that I've heard so many times over the last. Oh. three power switches in Congress and the Senate. And every time I hear Chuck Schumer stand up and say that, you know, we have to shore up Social Security because people are living longer. What I really hear him saying is people are just living too damn long. That's what I hear him saying. And for that order, I'm going to offer up my utmost respect.

And my highest praise, my mother who just passed at the age of 93, and she was sticking it to Uncle Sam for the last 30 years. And I say, God bless her. She was sticking it to Uncle Sam. How was she doing that? Social Security, man. He was one of those people living too damn long. You know what? Listen, there's plenty of people that pay into it that never make it to the age to where they can collect it. You've got. I mean, when they tell you about all of this kind of stuff, as I say, God laughs at people who make plans because tomorrow isn't promised to anybody. There's people that never collect Social Security. There's people that's collected and die a year or two or three later. And so there's people that are lucky enough to collect it for 20 or 30 years as well. And so I'm happy for your mother. And it probably wasn't a whole bunch of money. I mean, what most people collect on Social Security monthly isn't very much money. It just isn't. Do you remember what your mother got a month? Yeah, she was getting a partial benefit for my father who passed it about five years ago. And going on five and a half. Between the two of them, I think they were getting less than $3,000 a month. Right, and so when he... Yeah, because they didn't make much money toward the end. My dad's maxes were all back when he was hanging, siding. Right, but if you back up when he passed and how much did your mother get a month? Toward the end, she was probably only getting about $2,300. Right. That's not, I mean, it's not... That's not a lot. That's not... That's rent, groceries, and a car payment and a hairdo. Right. I mean, you're not going to live grand on social security. I mean, it's if you, it's just not a lot of money. Let's just put it that way. So if she collected 2,000 or 2,500 for however long she did a month. Well, God bless her for doing it. I'm going to tell you something. I don't regret a single dime I ever paid into Social Security during my working life. And I heard the same thing when I was a young man. Oh, it's not going to be there when you get to be an old guy. Well, it's here, and I became an old guy. And Social Security be around when my son becomes. an old person as well. It is still a be there. Yeah, they're never going to let go of that money. And if they ever do away with Social Security, they'll just call it something else and they'll keep collecting the tax. Right. They're never going to let go of that money. Now that they can touch it, they'll never let it go. All right. So it's got to keep on going.

Listen, you get me on a topic that I'm just passionate about because I'm going to tell you what really just frustrates a living hell out of me. We give billions of dollars to all of these other countries, billions of dollars to Egypt, billions of dollars to Israel, billions of dollars to all of these countries. And when I hear people talk about the economics of Social Security and Medicare are not good. And first and foremost, let's stop all the fraud in Medicaid and Medicare. You got to stop that. With that being said, once that stops, once that stopped, let's put some money into it. There isn't a law against putting some of our tax dollars into it to bolster the system. If you get Social Security, you worked and you paid into it. So it's an earned benefit. I want it to stay healthy. I'm sick and tired of giving all this money to, I don't care if it's Ukraine or what this war is costing us in Iran. When are we going to take care of our people? And they say, what, you got a 10 years on Medicare and 10 years on Social Security? Well, I'm the first guy saying, I'm against raising the age because the full retirement age is now 67. So I'm against changing the retirement age, making it older, because the only goal in that is to say, oh, let's make the full retirement age 70. The only goal in that is hoping that you die before you ever get a chance to collect it. I am totally opposed to changing the retirement age at all. They think it's their money. Yeah, it's old enough at 67. And not everybody is living longer. So I'm tired of the politicians trying. trying to do something like that. So I'm against changing the age of it. And I understand, obviously, if you retire at 62, 63, or 64, if you retire earlier, you get substantially less than it's your full retirement age. So, I mean, I'm not opposed to that at all. I'm not opposed to Medicare when you get 65 and going on Medicare. It's a great insurance program. And as far as the financial problems go, I say let's support. the program by giving additional dollars, if we have to, through all the money that we give away. And I don't believe that the politicians, I just think the politicians are such low lives that if they do that, they'll say, well, we're going to do that, but we're going to make change the retirement age to 70. Meanwhile, their retirement age isn't 70, and they can retire with their government program much sooner than that. So... I'm passionate about Social Security, and I think you are too. I mean, as I said, I'm not opposed to any money I've ever paid in Social Security. The vast majority of money I paid in went out to current retirees. You follow me? So what I paid in went out to my mother and your mother and all of that kind of stuff. There's very little additional that would go into the fund for the baby boomer bump. Social Security is not supposed to have a surplus. It's supposed what I pay in goes out to current retirees. Now they have that surplus to get the baby boomers through it. Well, I want to see it continue on. I want my children to be able to retire at 62 or 67 if they choose to. And this idea that you can work till you're 70, well, that depends what you do.

Tell that to a roofer that he can work till he's 70. Tell that to a carpenter. I mean, when you do some of these jobs that are very physical jobs, can you make it to 70? Tell that to a cop who's got to chase some young kid down the street or whatever. Oh, you can do that until you're 70 or a fireman or any type. You know what roofer's due for the last five years until retirement? What? They drive the tool truck. Yeah. I mean, obviously, if you got a desk job or sit-down job, it's much different than somebody that does something physical on a day-to-day basis. Because your body does deteriorate and change as you grow older. Sure does. And I say, God bless you, Ron. God bless your family. And... I pray that you live long enough to stick it to Uncle Sam for 50 years. I continue to pray that. I would like to see that happen to. I would love to hear a Kyle Bell on now. Wait a minute. It's in the back of the studio. I'm not even going to reach back. All you got to do is lift your right leg, right? Well, that's no cowbell there, buddy. All right. Thanks for your call. I appreciate it. When people talk about Social Security, I mean, that's really... Earned benefits never disturb me. Listen, I even understand people fall on hard times. I'm not opposed to some relief programs. They just shouldn't be forever. I mean, I understand... For example, when we talk about Medicaid, Medicare's for the elderly medicaid's. I understand that that's got to be there because a lot of times if somebody gets sick and they go to a nursing home, that when time is done, you know, when they're done with all their income and money, what do you do? Well, they go on Medicaid. I mean, these damn nursing homes are so expensive. And I'm not trying to figure that out, too. They don't pay the help at these nursing homes nearly enough money. I mean, the people that work at these nursing homes, it's a difficult environment. If you're in skilled nursing or any of these nursing places, you can get attached to some of these people and then they die. They don't have enough staff for the number of patients that they have. And it's a very difficult job emotionally and physically. And they just don't pay them enough money. Yet what the patient has to pay or the family has to pay of the person that's in the nursing home is tremendous. The amount of money is just phenomenal what they have to pay. And who's making all the money? The owners? I'd like to see the staff make more that actually does the care for these people. And any one of us, like I say, everybody is. one major illness away from bankruptcy, unfortunately, in many cases. So if you go and you take a look at somebody that has a major health issue and they end up in a skilled nursing care at $10,000 a month, well, it depletes their savings and their assets very quickly. Well, that's when they are busted and they go on Medicaid.

And I'm the first guy to say to all of you, these people that get on some of these programs. that are able-bodied, healthy people of work age that are milk in the system need a good kick in the ass to get off their lazy ass and realize how lucky they are to be in this country and the opportunities that are in front of them and to make something out of their life. So those people I want to give a kick in the arts to. And I get tired of them trying to exploit these programs. As I've said to you a gazillion times, don't make your problems, my problems. If you make bad decisions, it doesn't mean the taxpayers should be stuck with it, particularly if you're of work-age. Sometimes you're going to have to work two or three jobs to take responsibility for it. That's just the way the system is set up. But if you get sick, as we see people do, or you run out of money and you're in a nursing home, that's what some of these programs are for to be able to, What are you supposed to do with the person at that time? They don't have anything. And that's what Medicaid is really for to assist people in these nursing homes when they're out of money. And Medicare does that for a very short period of time. But what they charge a month. It just can deplete your assets 10 grand a month in this kind of stuff very quickly. I don't know who could afford it at all. It's one of the biggest fears people have as they grow older is ending up in one of those facilities because of how much it can cost the family. And it just sucks a lifetime of assets away.

Matt Fest at joining us, Guardians Reliever, following a night where the Guardians' bullpen did it again.

one of those nights where it's five relievers one inning a piece and Matt you're the representative since you finish the thing up and you're the local guy for a game here but of those nights how enjoyable are they when almost everybody in the pen has a chance to contribute well when we do come out there and have success it's a lot of fun because when we all get to come back inside the clubhouse we're all just patting each other on the back but it's a great feeling to you know all just pass the torch to each other and have a successful night and you've been here a bunch of times in your major league career. But what is it about here based on you growing up over in Staten Island that makes this a fun road swing and a fun group of games to play? I used to have a lot of family and friends in town watching or supporting at the stadium. And then like myself, I've just taken a lot of mental reps out on that mound growing up and going to Yankee games. So for me, it's always special coming back here. As a kid, how often did you get over here? As often as you can, but baseball games are, you know, you can't really make it out here. Stown Island's not too close, but, you know, probably two or three times a year when I was growing up. That's enough. Matt Festa joining us, finish things up in the series opener Tuesday night. And you don't get a chance to do that too often, even though it's not a safe situation. How much fun is it to be the last guy out there and get to shake hands? It's fun. It's fun to be out there when everyone's just celebrating a nice win. But it's good to take some of the pressure off of Cade, you know. Don't have to use them in a five-run lead. That's fantastic. And it keeps them fresh for some really close situations where we might need them down the road. So often this year you've come in mid- inning runners-on-base, a big mess to get out of. And you've had good success in that. What's been the key for you to really excel in that role? Not really think about it too much. Just focus on the task at hand, whatever in the box is. Just lock it in on my catcher. you know, deliver some strikes and challenge some hitters and, you know, you hope things are going to work out for you. That's all you can kind of control. So I kind of, I just don't really think about it too much. And when you look at how things have gone since you've come over here. What's been some of the keys for you to take your career a step forward in terms of what they do for you here to get you to be your best? For me, it's just getting the opportunity to always go back out there and either stack a couple of good outings in a row or fix a mess that happens, you know, and you don't always have a great outing, but relying on, you know, Caleb Longshore and Brad Goldberg and, of course, Carl Willis, like, in between outings, just to see what they're seeing to confirm what I'm feeling and sometimes just a conversation sometimes the full sit down but you know they're so proactive in the things that they do that help us get better each and every day and team wise good start to the season what do you like in here in terms of what you're seeing both relievers starters and position players just we're just playing really relaxed we're playing like

Just a bunch of really close friends, and it's fun coming to the ballpark every day and seeing, you know, different faces and names kind of do a job every day. You know, you come on the road. Obviously, Yankee Stadium's always a tough place to play. This is a very good team, and so are we. And it was really nice to get the first game of the series, because when you win the first game of the series, now you've got two opportunities to take this series. So great to see the guys really extend the lead at the end. The bullpen was fantastic, so all around a great win. Well, how about the bullpen? I mean, five shutout endings. against that lineup. Granted, they didn't have Aaron Judge, but they still have some thumpers. Yeah, this is a really good lineup. I mean, obviously, when Aaron Judge isn't playing, and like I'll continue to say, hopefully he's back soon. We want to see the best players in the league out on the field. But, you know, for those guys to navigate five innings of shutout baseball, that's not easy to do in any stretch of five innings in this ballpark, and let alone against their lineup. So really good job by the bullpen. Travis Bezano gets that three-run double with two out. Obviously, you didn't have to use Cade Smith. How big is that in the first game of a road trip? It's huge. And, you know, the other side of that, too, is, you know, we had Sean Armstrong coming in for the eighth. You're coming into the eighth with a two-run. two-run lead, now you make that a five-run lead, those are much less stressed pitches. So now Sean Armstrong is going to be fresher today. And I think, you know, we talk about it a lot. If we can extend leads, maybe you still have to use some leverage guys, but those aren't going to be as high-pressured pitches. And they're not going to be as, you know, intense. And so anytime you can keep a leverage guy off of the field, it's great. And we didn't even have to get ked up in a two-run game going into the eighth. So really good job by the offense. Doesn't seem like Travis is too phased by the situation. No, he's not. He even mentioned how much fun it was to play here. And same with Chase. And it's rare to see two rookies with, you know, two months of time or less on their belt. And you come to Yankee Stadium for the first time and they're like, this is really cool. I mean, it just shows their maturity. How about Patrick Bailey?

That's a triple to get you going early in the game against a guy that hasn't been giving up runs to anybody. Yeah, I really woke the dugout up. And, I mean, the wherewithal, you know, us catchers are so fast that, you know, we turn doubles into triples all the time. So, but that's what's so huge. And I love about these our guys is we're always pushing the envelope on the bases. It would have been real easy to just kind of coast into second base. But now you get to third with one out. That creates an opportunity for a sack fly. It creates an opportunity for an RBI ground out, whatever it might. be. So obviously, great piece of hitting by Patty and great base running to get to third. Look, we're not saying he's the next Johnny Bench, but have you seen something that there's more in there offensively than maybe what the numbers were when he came here? Absolutely. We've seen him hit probably seven or eight balls really hard since he's been here, and he really hadn't played a ton. So he's starting to really get acclimated to our pitching staff, which is obviously most important. We knew that was going to happen quickly. He and Hedgy and David were worked really hard together to get him up to speed along with our pitching coaches. But we're really starting to see some growth offensively. And there's a really good hitter in there. Like we said, we're not expecting him to go out and have a thousand OPS. But there's a much better hitter than what he's shown from the beginning of the season until now. You don't get many of these matchups in a season. Just the way rotations fluctuate with off days and whatnot. Gavin Williams, Garrett Cole, that's worth the price of admission. Yeah, if you like pitching, it should be a fun night. You know, we feel good about it whenever Gavin's taking the mound. And, you know, Garrett Cole coming back from Tommy John, good to see him back. Like I said, I love seeing the best players in the world playing. And we've seen Garrett Cole enough over the last few years. But we get to see him one more time tonight, and hopefully we're ready for him. Yeah, but we saw Gavin Williams take his game to another level against Christopher Sanchez in Philly. Do you expect that again tonight? I do. I think, you know, like I said, anytime Gavin takes a mound, we feel good about it. And it's always fun playing in this ballpark. You always, you know, you look at that uniform, the history. If you love baseball, you know the history of the Yankees. And so it's shaping up to be a really fun night. And we feel good about Gavin taking the ball.
