Cold and poorly located President Trump at Davos in Switzerland at the World Economic Forum, where really they're supposed to be talking about the weather. about climate change and how they're going to make the weather better for everybody, which is another claim of a crazy person living in a bus stop. But the left, they fly private jets to Davos and say the same things that bus stop people say, because they're all nuts. Oh, very good and happy Wednesday to you and welcome back once again. You know what that means, don't you, Wednesday? Oh, we know. It's hump day in the Clinton household. Hillary has to get out of the house as soon as she wakes up and finds herself face down in a pool of her own dried vomit on the linoleum kitchen floor. Secret service standing over her, knuckles on their hips, shaking their heads, tisk, tisk. The woman who will never be president of the United States. And then Bill, you know, he needs the house to himself because even at his advanced age and all that, he's still Bill Clinton. So we've got that calling. It also means that it's mailbag day here on the Chris Plant Show because it's Wednesday. It's hump day and it's mailbag day. And that is good. And also hearing on the news, hearing on the local news on the radio on the great WMAL in Washington, D.C. My mother's ship, just by the way. But the news out of Washington, D.C. is this. And today is the 21st of January. The date is the 21st. Yesterday was the 20th, meaning one year after the inauguration of President Trump for his second term as president. But the big news today, D.C. on the 21st of January, D.C. reports first homicide of 26. after man killed in northeast shooting, shooting in the northeastern quadrant of our city, which is divided into four quadrants, as you might be aware. Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Southeast. And here is the story from the ABC station in Washington. A man was killed in an overnight shooting in northeast D.C. making the city's first homicide of 2026, according to police. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting just after midnight in the 1,300 block of Varnham Street, Northeast. Police tell seven news that the man was found suffering from gunshot wounds, plural.

He was rushed to an area hospital, likely the Washington Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead when I was with CNN. We used to, I spent more than one evening at the Washington Hospital Center with camera crews because that's where you go when you want to wait for the ambulances come in with gunshot wounds and murder victims. And they use the hospital to train army doctors for combat. And so I would go there and do news stories back then. Says, this is the first homicide reported in the city this year. In 2025, the city, listen to this, the department, the police department, reported a total of seven, seven homicides in the same time last year, according to its year-to-date crime comparison. All right, now, so President Trump is in charge this year, right? And you see how this goes? And the Democrats, last year, now again, President Trump was sworn in January 20th. And so by this time last year, there were seven homicides and Joe Biden was president. The Democrats were in charge. And now this year, the first homicide on the 21st of January, the 21st of January. Isn't that something? Isn't that great? So the first homicide of the year, isn't that not something? Yes, it is. Now, I went and I took a quick look about previous years, and here is the headline from Fox 5, January 2nd of 2024. D.C.'s first homicide of 2024 reported on New Year's Day just one hour after midnight. You know, the Democrats, they've got to get the ball rolling, don't they? They start, hey, it's after midnight, who wants to be the first murder victim of the year? And the Democrats argue about it, and then they shoot people because that's what they do. And that's much more normal, you know, that one hour after New Year's Eve, Democrats start murdering people. Perfectly, perfectly normal. And now on the 21st of January, the first homicide of the year. Last year at this time, there had been seven homicides. It's not a very big city. It's about 700,000 people, not 7 million people like New York or, you know, 9 million people, whatever they are. So our first homicide, and last year at this time, it was 7 by... By the 20th, the 21st, and again, President Trump inaugurated a year ago on the 20th, the Democrats in charge. They like more homicides, as I like to say because it's true. More Democrats, more homicides. More Democrats, more rapes and murders, more Democrats, more carjackings, more looting, more robbery. The Democrat Party is the party of crime because that's who they are. Yes, they are.

And the news media will not make note of this. This will not be a big story. Hey, look, the murder rates down, way down. I mean, seven at this time last year. Now, there was zero until after midnight last night. And seven last year at the same time. Now there's one. The Democrats. And police don't note it here, but they're looking for a Democrat. They're looking for a Democrat in the shooting death and the murder of a man in northeast Washington, D.C. Why would that be a problem? Well, it wouldn't be. Really? Let's be honest. I think the Democrats invest in arms manufacturers, ammo manufacturers, and of course in casket manufacturers and funeral homes, because that's where, just another way that Democrats get rich. Now let's get back to President Trump, who is at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, which again historically has been about the weather and how they're going to make the weather better. They're going to make the climate change a much better thing. And the Politico, left winger, is at Politico in Washington, D.C. today, their headline is, Davos is climate resignation. Davos's climate resignation is the headline. Once a showcase for climate ambition. I like the use of the word ambition there. They're very ambitious. They want to make the weather better by stealing your money and teaching your kids that they're gender confused. Once a showcase for climate ambition, they all fly in their private jets and lecture other people about, you know, smoke and a cigarette, the World Economic Forum is now talking more about coping with the damage. You guys are the damage, really, and it's your brains. And Politico reports Carl Matheson typing on behalf of the Democrat Party. A few short years ago, Davos was bullish on beating climate change. Yeah, that was always the biggest lie ever told. Yeah, we're billionaires. We're going to make the weather better wherever you are. This week, the focus has shifted to coping with the worst of it. It's shifted to buying ocean front properties for the most part. panels and fireside chats. There are no fireside chats. That's a FDR reference. Once geared toward the business of stamping out fossil fuels and slowing the Earth's dangerous overheating, and they say that is going to be 30 degrees below zero in Chicago this weekend, are now focusing on matters of resilience to drought. fires like in Los Angeles where water doesn't come out of the fire hydrants and arsonists burn entire cities and it's okay floods and sea level rise yeah I haven't seen an awful lot of that but you know they there are always floods and the oceans will do it the oceans one

But Democrats can't change that. Across dozens of sessions this week at the World Economic Forum, which they have to abbreviate then in parentheses as the W.E.F. Because, you know, for a second reference, climate mitigation will play a far smaller role than in previous years. That's because everybody knows it's a complete joke, except you clowns who continue with this childlike fantasy that you have. It's a shift that underscores the political sensitivities of climate change for the organizers. There are political sensitivities about the weather because of them. Anything that directly threatens to crimp fossil fuel use, listen to this, is a political trigger for the U.S. President Donald Trump. Oh, wait, it's all Trump's fault. Now it's all Trump's fault. This is a mental illness. This really is a mental illness. The change is in emphasis, and it was not lost on attendees. It's middle ground to avoid confrontation with Trump, said Nicholas Galarza, former deputy minister for environment in Colombia. Oh, they got a deputy minister for environment in Colombia, and we're supposed to listen to him. Okay, that's what we got. Yes, sir. The heavy focus on dealing with climate impacts is a reflection on the perilous state. And they actually misspelled perilous here. It says parlous. Paralless. The perilous state of the planet, he added. With the dangerous warming, now it's unavoidable. The dangerous warming is now unavoidable. I wish we had some dangerous warming this weekend because, in fact, what is it? When I got up today, it was 16 degrees. And then coming in, the local weather said it was 19 degrees. It's January in the mid-Atlantic. It's not Minnesota. But we should get those liberals out on the streets of Minnesota because, you know, man, oh, man. I am telling you, you people. All right, let's get back to President Trump in Davos, where he's not too worried about climate change. Because whatever they're talking about there, it's not going to change the climate or the weather, which they think are different things. So let's go to the president talking about NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and which we have been kind of the only partner with some people getting us sandwiches every now and then. the European allies. President Trump, and this is 100% true, on NATO. Nobody's done more for NATO than I have, as I said before. True. In every way. Getting them to go up to 5% of GDP was something that nobody thought was possible, and pay. and pay. And honestly, the GDP, they had committed by treaty to pay 2% of GDP, and nobody did.

And President Trump said, what's with this? You just stick us with the bill, and Midwesterners are getting up at 4 a.m. to work in cornfields to pay for you guys so that you can vacation for a month in August and go to the Greek islands so that president of France can marry his schoolteacher and whatever else you silly Europeans are doing. And President Trump put it out. And he said, okay, then they say, okay, we'll pay 2%. And President Trump is like, well, why would we even defend you if you don't live up to your treaty obligations? And you stick us with the bill on everything. And we've got to defend everything in every place all the time. And then they said, all right, all right, we'll pay 2%. And he said, really, it should be more like 5% of your GDP. Our GDP is so much bigger than yours. And they're like, okay, okay. And a bunch of countries started paying 5% of GDP. President Trump's strengthening NATO all over the place while the New York Times said he was making NATO weaker because the New York Times was lying again. President Trump today in Davos. I've had such a good relationship. I've made it so much better, so much stronger. It's so good now. NATO is so much stronger now. I don't agree with a lot of the things they've done, but that was done before I got there. NATO's, whether you like it or not, it's only as good as we are. If NATO doesn't have us, NATO is not very strong. Oh, I have to apologize. This is actually the president yesterday when he was heading off. He was heading off to Davos. But before he got to Davos, President Trump again, I apologize. Yes, he's talking about it again today in Davos, President Trump on NATO. NATO has to treat us fairly too. The big fear I have with NATO is we spend tremendous amounts of money with NATO. And I know we'll come to their rescue, but I just really do question whether or not they'll come to ours. Yeah, well, you know, yeah, they've always known that we come to their rescue, that we've been their defenders. Really, since 1942, they wouldn't have defeated the Nazis. They would not have held the Soviet Union at bay. That's us. You're welcome. They built a generous social welfare system because they didn't have to spend money on their own defense because we were defending them. Manning the fold the gap and checkpoint Charlie and holding the Soviet bear at bay after crushing the socialist workers party of Adolf Hitler, you're welcome. And President Trump is holding into account. The Democrats are against that because 37.5 trillion in debt is not enough for us. The Democrats want us to be more deeply in debt.

In Davao, oh, we got the Reverend Al Gore is there, too. Peace be upon him. And he, you know, remember when they had their climate summit in Iceland? I think President Trump referred to Greenland as Iceland a couple of times in Switzerland today. Too many Iceland and Greenland and Switzerland. They call everything land, you know. It's... That's how they do that thing. Deutsche land. They got Deutsche Land, Uberales, which the Democrats sing when they go to bed at night. And they're amazing. But the Reverend Al Gore was there. He used to be, remember the crown prince of global warming. And he was there. He was listening to President Trump at Davos today. Al Gore was. And he's not too bright. No, okay. Well, hang on a sec, because there are a couple of them. And I want to play Al Gore for you saying some pretty ridiculous things. He demonstrates once again that he has no idea what he's talking about, what he's saying, what Trump has said. He's saying, oh, yeah, Trump is saying he's going to use military force to take over Greenland, which he's never said. The Democrats keep saying that, and I played the audio yesterday of a reporter asking President Trump last week about military force, and President Trump straightened her out and said, you're the ones that keep talking about, not me. And here comes Al Gore. If the Democrat Party, members of the Democrat Party, if they're speaking, they are lying. See how that works? That's how you can tell. Just extraordinary, the Democrat Party. I got that coming up, and President Trump in Davos.

You're going to use the military to attack Greenland and take over Greenland. It take like six of our guys, but never mind that. Are you going to have military friends? And President Trump said, don't be ridiculous. Right now, it sounds like you are saying that you would potentially acquire Greenland by force. That would be a NATO country. Are you saying that? No, you're saying that. Would you? I didn't say it. No, you're telling me that that's what I'm going to do. You don't know what I'm going to do. So what are the options? Your network doesn't know either. So last week, President Trump was, again, the Democrats made this up. He's going to use the military to attack Greenland, which would take five of our guys like four hours and they could get lunch in the middle. But paid attention to that, and Trump said, no, you guys keep saying that. I'm not saying that. And then today at Davos, at their little world economic forum, he clarified that. And oh, well, and they read because they get their disinformation from CNN and beyond. And then the corpulent Al Gore. the saint of all things, climate change and global warming and that polar bear on an ice shelf floating around as if polar bears can't swim like Mark Spitz or Leah Thomas, you know, the Democrats like Leah, who's a guy and they think it's a girl because they're mental. But the Reverend Al Gore today at Davos was asked, hey, wouldn't you like to attack Trump and call him names? I think there was one element of the speech that I would interpret it as a positive. I think perhaps because of the stock market's reaction yesterday, he appeared to back down from his previous threat to use military force to acquire Greenland. Never. If I'm interpreting that correctly, I think that's a good thing. It was, of course, crazy that he would do such a thing in the first place. But I think he backed down, and that's good. Yeah, well, he had never said that. But you guys in your fantasy worlds, it might be the, I don't know, the fentanyl or the monkey pox or whatever it is causing your brains to not work properly. But the Reverend Al Gore was there and yeah, because he keeps saying that he's going to use the military to attack Greenland. And a reporter said, are you going to use the military to attack really? I never said that. I've never thought that. I would never do that. You guys keep saying it, and then the Democrats and the news media, but I repeat myself, Al Gore and the fake news media at the White House and all of that good stuff. And I have another correction. I have to make a correction. I put the national debt at $37.5 trillion, and I was mistaken. It is now $38.6 trillion.

And it's all a part of bankrupting the United States and by extension, bankrupting capitalism itself worldwide. So I just wanted to correct that. It's not 37.5 trillion. It's 38.5 or 38.6 trillion. You know, that 0.5 to 0.6 is only $100 billion. So nothing to sneeze out there. Isn't that amazing? Yes, sir. So I want to straighten that out. I got to get, I guess it's hard to keep up with the national debt. Got to check frequently. And apparently I hadn't checked frequently enough. All right, now back to President Trump in Davos. He has wrapped up his speech there. So CNN was fluffing Al Gore. And yeah, so was. He really backed off what he said so many times that he was going to attack Greenland with the U.S. military. And he had never said that. The news media, they lie a lot. You know why? Democrats. Democrats, that's why. Let's go back to President Trump and talk about the value of Greenland. And it is he wants to put in a... A missile shield against Vladimir Putin's Russia, and China may come into play with the intercontinental ballistic missiles as well, ICBMs. But... But President Tran, and he's also, it's the natural mineral, the rare earth elements that the United States wants to control. And here is a big part of that. So that communist China doesn't. And communist China has ships around Greenland. Russia has their warships, of course. And Vladimir Putin's communist Russia has their warships around Greenland. And a huge part of... Greenland being in play is there, what are there, 67,000 people in all of Greenland? And it's gigantic. It's a lot of it's covered with ice. You know, apparently the area of Greenland not covered with ice is as large as California. That's a pretty big area of Greenland not covered with ice. And there are all these rare earth elements that are vitally important for national security reasons, for technological reasons, for economic reasons, the rare earth elements that we have a store of them in the ground in the United States, but not like China's. China's is much more abundant and plentiful. And they still want to control all of the rare earth elements in the world. They will do so militarily. So checking them back into the boards, a little hockey term, and keeping China out of play when it comes to the rare earth elements in Greenland is big for technological, military, national security reasons, for economic reasons, because the rare earth elements are important for...

computers and for artificial intelligence and for military and national security reasons, for economic reasons. And that's why Greenland gigantic landmass up there to the north and east of Canada out in the Atlantic Ocean between Canada. And then the Arctic Circle, China and Russia are looking to control the Arctic, the north. And, well, oh, no, the ice is melting. Well, that's actually going to be good because, oh, no, the ocean is rising. Well, my beach house is not in danger. And I don't have a beach house. That's why it's not in danger. And there's the northwest passage that the Chinese and the Russians are looking to dominate for economic and military reasons. And President Trump wants to checkmate them ahead of their more aggressive moves, which are obviously in the offing, in the pipeline. just by the way. So we've got that President Trump. And look, so a missile defense, he calls it Golden Dome. It's like Iron Dome for the Israelis in Israel. They have a missile defense system thanks to us. That is very effective thanks to Ronald Reagan and strategic defense initiative programs going back to the 1980s. These things are hard and they take time and they're expensive. And we can do them and nobody else can. But the Iron Dome for Israel, President Trump, is talking about making a North American version. You're welcome, Canada. And that would be called Golden Dome, because he likes things that are gold. And they're, you know, like everything. And it's cooler than Iron Dome. It's Golden Dome because it's better, right? Missile defense. And that makes it less appealing for Vladimir Putin to spend billions of dollars building ballistic missiles to fire at us. the probability of those missiles reaching us with nuclear warheads minimized. Also, there's Iran, which Barack Obama and the Democrats have helped them with their ballistic missile program that they want to use to kill everybody and take over the world. But here is President Trump. Back to President Trump and Greenland, very important strategic economic military and computer artificial intelligence. dimensions to Greenland and the Democrats are defending colonialism and the colonialism of Denmark and the Danish to hold these these colonial properties from the 1600s from the 17th century and the Democrats are back to defending colonialism right they just hate America but and by the way there's a king I think it's Friedrich the 10th, Frederick the 10th. I like to call it Friedrich because it's more fun. And it's actually Frederick X. Frederick X. They might call him Fredericks, Fredericks, because he's Frederick the 10th, kind of like Malcolm the 10th. Remember Malcolm the 10th, the 1960s.

I think that we will work something out when NATO is going to be very happy and where we're going to be very happy. But we need it for security purposes. And did you see Emmanuel Macron in Formage yesterday wearing his blue aviator shades at Davos looking like a hipster? And then they explained that maybe he's got a black eye. He's got a welt. He got hit in the eye or some. And the theory floating around is that his wife beat him because there's some history of his wife hitting him in the past. And now he's got a welt. On a Zion is wearing blue aviator shades, reflective, blue reflective aviator shades. He's like the man with no eyes in Cool Hand Luke at Davos yesterday. All that, but President Trump, and the honestly, how far are you willing to go to take Greenland? Because Greenland. How far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland? You'll find out. You'll find out. See, he likes to be KG. And he's actually very skilled at this. Because he comes from the world of business and, you know, mafia and unions, but I repeat myself in New York and Democrats in New York and mafia, but I repeat myself. But there is, how far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland? You'll find out. Well, and that's true enough. Just sit back. Don't be scared. It's the United States. It's Donald Trump. He's a mergers and acquisitions guy. You know, and he's a dealmaker. And it's the art of the deal. And everything he does is rooted in the art of the deal. President Trump, last Friday, this was kind of fun because they keep asking about it and he keeps talking about it. We need Greenland for national security very badly. If we don't have it, we have a big hole in national security. That's Friday. We need very badly for national... And our national security is global security. Nobody else holds the Russian Bay, the Russian bear at bay. Nobody else holds the Chinese communists at bay. Only the United States America. And the Europeans whine while they throw bonbons down each other's throats and do whatever else they do in Europe spreading monkey pox and everything. But I know I love monkey pox. President Trump said that was President Trump on... on Friday. Now, here's President Trump's same subject on Monday. I don't think they're going to push back too much. Look, we have to have it. They have to have this done. They can protect it.

They need to have it. They need to get it done. It's pretty amazing stuff, I've got to say. Man, oh, man. All right. And then we're going to get to more good stuff. And somebody figured out if you displace it by water, by putting them in, then you could get the amount. And so I'm wondering the icebergs and shelves of ice that they say if they fall in, it'll raise the level of the sea feet or inches and flooding and whatnot. It doesn't seem to me, if it's already there, how is it going to raise the water level? Because we have a finite amount of water on planet Earth, and we always have, right? And sometimes it's frozen and more frozen than other times. I saw on a National Geographic program on the television that the planet Earth, for more than 90% of our entire natural history, for more than 90% of our history, has been essentially without ice caps. All right? And, yeah, for more than, that's what National Geographic told me. More than 90% of the history, geographic history of the United States, natural, excuse me, of the planet Earth, that we have had essentially no ice caps. Like there's a skating rink on the North Pole and a skating rink on the South Pole, but not a lot of ice. And sea levels rise and fall, you know, Maine. which is now covered with Somalis, and they're doing ice raids up there now upsetting the Democrats because they love Somalis or something. Maine was covered with glaciers. Minnesota, where the idiots are, you know, more Somalis, too, that 10,000 lakes came from glaciers. In fact, the Great Lakes, I grew up along Lake Michigan, and Lake Michigan was a glacier that was many miles, several miles thick. And then it melted. You know, the natural cycles of the earth, the great ball of fire in the sky, we call it the sun, has got something to do with ice and sea levels and temperatures. But the Democrat Party, because they're a cult, they don't accept natural science. They don't believe in science. They think they're 120 genders. And they're mental. But I got to tell you, Chris, I'm not really... too worried and it's true I don't have a beach house but but I'm not too worried about rising sea levels as a result of human activity I'm just not

Well, I agree. But it just doesn't make sense. If they say if these things, you know, dissolve into the sea, it will raise the level. But the level is as it is. And if, you know, because it's the displacement of water by whether it's a big rock or big ice, the ice melts. If you made it a cube of a tray of ice cubes, when they dissolve, it doesn't look as much water as the ice itself. So. It just doesn't make sense to me. Ah, right. Of course. Yeah, that ice is water in an expanded form. And when ice melts, it actually contracts. Correct. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, you remind me of Monty Python again. I've got to say, Chris, and it's, who are you? Who is so wise in the ways of science? Because it seems nobody at Harvard. can sort through any of this. And nobody at the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration would say, well, here's what will happen. But, you know, in Europe over the centuries, they really didn't build waterfront, beachfront properties. They built them up on stone cliffs because they were aware that every now and then the oceans became angry. They figured this out a thousand years ago. The Democrats erased that from the public consciousness because they have a political agenda. Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science? That's right, $38.6 trillion in national debt. The point six is only $636 billion. That's better. Say no attention. It is Wednesday, and that means it's mailbag day, and I have right in front of me. I have mailbag questions.
