Police say the 27-year-old forced his way into a Hudson Avenue home near Harold Street and assaulted a woman. She was taken to the hospital with upper body injuries. The man arrested early this morning at a home on Kingston Street. The unnamed suspect faces burglary and assault charges. Rochester firefighters called out to Battle of Blaze on the city's north side. It broke out shortly before 8 o'clock last night at a vacant home on Avenue D between Remington Street and Joseph Avenue. The fire was under control within about 20 minutes and no one caused it and no one was hurt. The owner of Patty's Lodge in Hopewell is given residents 20 more days to move out. This, after he threatened to shut off utilities yesterday on just a few days' notice. But the housing authorities, David Cagle, housing attorney David Cagle, tells 13 Wham, the owner is acting illegally. In rental property, tenants are entitled to either 30, 60, or 90 days notice, depending on how long they've been there.

Meanwhile, the Ontario County Department of Social Services confirms they're working to find new homes for some of the residents. Patty's Lodge is the same motel where transgender man Sam Nordquist moved before his murder last year. A 15-year-old facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a Brighton high school employee. Investigators said the teen punched the 71-year-old victim several times. He's now been charged with secondary assault and was released on an appearance ticket. The man killed in a police chase last week. Now identified. Troopers say 38-year-old Tyson Thomas took off from a traffic stop Friday morning. He then ran over spike strips at Lake Avenue, slamming into a Jeep carrying three people. Thomas's car caught fire, and he was trapped inside. He died at the scene. President Trump posting on Truth Social. I had a conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu today asking him not to go into a major raid of Beirut, Lebanon. He turned his troops around. Thank you, Benjamin Netanyahu. I also had a conversation with representatives of the leaders of Hezbollah and they agreed to stop shooting at Israel and its soldiers. Likewise, Israel agreed to stop shooting at them. Let's see how long that lasts. Hopefully it will be for eternity. Iranian-backed Hezbollah has been firing rockets into northern Israel, and Israeli forces have gone after them into southern Lebanon. While President Trump touts an end of the fighting after his call, there have since been reports of additional Hezbollah rocket attacks. The president says a deal will still be reached, and he's taking his time until the right deal comes through. Seven people dead in a murder suicide in Iowa. Police say a man shot six relatives to death before taking his own life. Police call to a home in Muscatine about 50 miles southeast of Cedar Rapids. They say when they got there, they found the first four people fatally shot. They then say they tracked 52-year-old Ryan Willis McFarland to a trail where he took his own life as officers closed in. Two other relatives were later found shot to death at another location. Muscatine Police Chief Anthony Keyes calling the shooting an active evil. Sue Gusman, Fox News Radio. Currently, judges have to retire at age 70, or they can file to have their terms extended by two years at a time until age 76. But a group of judges say the state's Equal Rights Amendment, which passed by voters in 2024, bars any type of age discrimination. No other statewide office has an age cap. And there's no word on whether or not the state stop court will issue a decision. Governor Kathy Hochul is highlighting success of the bell-to-belt smartphone. Steve Bannon Schools. Students are behaving better in a more engaged way. They're collaborating more. They're talking to each other. And basically, I read all the comments. They're acting like kids again. She released a survey showing 76% of educators say the ban has resulted in positive changes in classroom behavior. That includes approved attention, respect for fellow students, and better following of directions. President Trump says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised no more strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon's capital. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson has more for the White House. President Trump has long insisted there is no deadline for a deal with... Iran. Iran has long demanded the ceasefire include Lebanon, where its proxy Hezbollah is based. Rochester police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a home invasion last month. Investigators say he forced his way into a Hudson Avenue house near Harold Street and assaulted a woman there who was hospitalized with upper body injuries. The suspect taken into custody early this morning on Kingston Street. He is charged with burglary and assault. Rochester firefighters, pedaling. blaze on the city's north side. It broke out just before 8 o'clock last night in a vacant home on Avenue D between Remington Street and Joseph Avenue. Cruz were able to control that fire within about 20 minutes. There's no word on a cause and no injuries were reported. The owner of Patty's Lodge in Hopewell is giving residents 20 more days to move out. This, after backing off a threat to shut off utilities on just a few days' notice. But housing authorities, or housing attorney rather, David Kegel, tells 13 Wham the move would have illegal because tenants would have to be given at least 30 days notice even the threat of taking illegal actions if your intention is to get people to move is itself unlawful meanwhile

Ontario County Social Services says it's working to find new housing for some of those residents. The motel is the same place where transgender man Sam Nordquest had been living before his murder last year. A 15-year-old is facing a felony charge after an assault at Brighton High School. Investigators say the teen punched a 71-year-old employee multiple times causing injuries. The suspect is charged with second-degree assault and was released in a juvenile appearance ticket. The incident happened May 28th at the school and South Winton road. Dave Smith, News Radio Wham, 1180. Rochester police say a shots fired call led to a weapons arrest Friday evening. Officers responded to Morrill Street around 545 after a shot spotter alert, then got a 911 call about a domestic situation. That's where investigators found 41-year-old Antoine Kendrick. They say he fired multiple rounds into the air during an argument. Police recovered four handguns and a shotgun. Two of them reported stolen, and now Kendrick is charged with multiple weapon offenses and possession of stolen property. Dave Debo News Radio Wham 1180. The driver accused in last November's crash that killed a highway worker due in court today. Prosecutors say 28-year-old Marcus Snow Jr. sped through a work zone barrier on Parma Center Road near Bailey Road and hit a parked work truck. That truck then struck 43-year-old Robert Faber of Rochester killing him. Snow was indebted in April on a second-degree manslaughter charge. News Radio Wham, 1180 time now 735. President Trump just told ABC News he thinks an agreement with Iran will be reached over the next week. President Trump spent his time in meetings, including calls with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of Hezbollah through intermediaries. He posted on true social. He thinks the negotiations will continue to rapid pace in an interview with CNBC News. The president did not sound as optimistic. Here's what he said. I don't care if they're over, honestly. I couldn't. and care less, and added that protracted negotiations have started to get very boring. Iran's foreign minister insists negotiations continue. News Radio Wham 1180 time now is 742. A proposed three-year moratorium on new data centers in the state is now being reworked as a one-year ban. Some state lawmakers say the move would allow for more study on the environmental impacts of the centers, as well as their impact on the state's strained electric grid. It's not known whether either House of the Legislature would take up the bill as this year's session ends this week. The moratorium would include the proposed stream U.S. data center at the stamp plant in Genesee County. The Justice Department putting a controversial anti-webitization fund on holes. The Justice Department says it will abide by a... judge's order that bars any payment from a nearly $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund. That fund was created as part of a settlement to end the lawsuit by President Trump against the IRS and is intended to provide settlement payments to individuals accusing the federal government of investigating or prosecuting them for political purposes. But lawmakers, including some Republicans have expressed opposition in a series of planned votes on the fund, scuttled an immigration funding measure last month. The Henrietta Town Board has approved special use permits tied to the redevelopment of Marketplace Mall. The property is being converted into a mainly medical and residential complex, including a URMC Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Institute, and a new Mary Carriola Children's Center. Town leaders are hoping a sale of the property will be completed by the fall. The state still needs to approve the project. A popular Webster bar is now back open more than a year after a devastating fire. The coach sports bar on West Main Street held a grand reopening over the weekend. The building was gutted in a blaze in March of last year. Wall Street was higher to start the new month despite a surge in oil prices. At the closing bell, the Dow Jay Jones Industrial Average was up 46 points to end the day at 51078, and the NASDAQ gained 114 points to finish at 270.
