And a special election on President Trump's home turf. Here's that conversation now with Brian Kilmeade here on the Inez Says podcast. What do you make of these developments having to do with a conflict with Iran, the president talking about a very big president having to do with the strait of Hormuz? He also says Iran has agreed to no nukes in the future. And of course, Iran denying everything. But what do we look? Are we looking at a winding down of this conflict here, Brian? Well, it's interesting. Guess who doesn't want that? Most of the Gulf states, they're saying to the president. finish the job. And Saudi Arabia is saying, we might join you. And it's interesting because they've been targeted. And they're still being targeted, but not heavily, but they're being targeted, the energy sector. And instead of saying, oh, my goodness, I'm concerned or the U.S. should have finished them by now, they're saying, just don't leave early. And I think we should adhere to that. And the 82nd Airborne and the two marine ships, the two ships, U.S.S. Triple E and the boxer heading over there is the best convincing strategy ever. So if you think, well, the president's looking for a quick way out, well, why did he just sell for this in for 3,000 members of the 82nd Airborne? And why are two marine ships coming in? Are they looking to take an island? So I think the fact that the Iranian say, hey, he's negotiating with himself. I mean, that's the same people that told this. They had no nuclear program. The same people that told this they didn't have intermediate range missiles and had interest in intercontinental missiles. All of that was proven flat out false. And we have a situation where the foreign minister says something and the IRG says something else. So they obviously have been devastated. Their command has been diffused across the country. I'm not really sure you can get.

one person to respond. And the new Supreme Leader that Democrats said, well, you just replace one radical for his son. He's MIA. I mean, the statements that are out there are basically might as well be AI or non-existent. So he's clearly not the leader. Yeah, he's a hologram at this point. Iran is denying everything having to do with talks with the U.S. right now. I think that's kind of interesting that the media was actually believing Iran earlier this week instead of the president of the United States. So is John Brennan. John Brennan, the former CIA director said the same thing. He's an embarrassment to the country. Hopefully he's being exposed, but he's not being exposed. on those other channels. But I think most people look at him and just know he's a liar. Yeah, well, to say the Iranians are not trustworthy is an understatement, Brian. And to your point about the Gulf states, wanting us to stay there and finish the job, the question becomes, if this conflict is winding down, are we going to have to go back there in future years? I mean, the president says they've agreed to know nukes in the future. But I don't believe anything that Iran says, or we can have to go back there in future years. And I'm sure that's what the Gulf states are concerned about. Well, I mean, that's why we're in there to begin with. He's like, should I leave this to the next guy or woman? Really? Even if it's, even if it's JD Vance. Obviously, JD Vance is more in the podcast world. Even though they're asking for him to lead the negotiations, which the Iranians feel they have an ally in him, which is interesting because I'm wondering if certain people are talking to the Iranian leadership, telling him go to JD Vance, who happens to be a friend of his, because all of a sudden now J.D. is over there. Or he's going to be over there talking because they don't want to deal with Steve Witkoff. I actually, Steve Wikov, I hear, is very good at real estate. I have not seen him produce anything. I really don't know what. Please tell me what he did in Gaza. It was Jared Kushner. They came in there. Please tell me what he's done with the Russians. They've gotten worse since Trump sent him in there. And please tell me how that worked out with Iran twice now. So they never make any progress. Interesting. Another part of this, Brian, where are the protesters? Where are the moderates who could possibly take over? I know there were various groups that could possibly take over leadership there. Are there any moderates in that government that would prevent us from being there in another year two or three? I'm not sure. I don't think so. I mean, you know, I had someone on yesterday. I don't know if you heard the show that he's the democracy movement. I think he's about 30 or 28. He was born there, forced out when he was 11. But he's leading a movement. He said he's been touched with 50 and 100 different people in Iran. And they're seeing a huge difference on the ground, waiting for the go-ahead to go ahead and step up, not getting that green light from Israel and the U.S. next because they don't want to see another massacre. But at least 300 of the besiege have been killed. The others are afraid to go out. So there's a loosening up at the people on the ground. They see a huge difference since this operation took place. So they might be talking defiant. But on the ground, they can't feel optimistic. And I just worry that people are watching other channels and listening to put a pundit instead of really looking on what's going on in the war. Well, hopefully the stage is set for some kind of moderate takeover the government in Iran in the future. Meanwhile, this partial government shutdown, it continues. We were told that there is a framework for a deal in place. What are you here? Like, where is this deal here, Brian?

Well, I think it is in place, and I think they're going to sign it Thursday. I think if you look at these lines, five hours, we had one of the producers here just wrote four and a half hours at JFK. Unbelievable. And almost Mr. Plains. I mean, how early we expect to get there the day before this point? So, you know, some places, ICE is really helping. They're not at JFK, but they're helping at the other airports. So we'll see what happens. I really think the framework, they're going to use the momentum of the new DHS secretary to fix his whole thing. And the deal essentially is going to be, don't fund ICE. They're going to fund it on their own to reconciliation, but you're not going to get any reforms to ICE. In turn, you get everything else open, and then they'll find a way to pass the new Voting Act, and they'll probably do it, have funded partially now, and then finish it off and put it to a spending bill in September. So we'll see, you know, making sure people bring ID to vote is something extremely popular with the American people. But I'm wondering. There's no way they're going to let Trump pass anything before the election. Oh, that's a really good point. It is an election year. Meantime, these ICE agents, they have been deployed, like you said, and they seem to be at certain airports. They seem to be cutting down on these delays here. Nearly 3,500 of these TSA agents called out sick over the weekend. Over 400 have quit. I mean, you have to feel for these people. Like you said last week, these are people making $40,000, $40,000. a year and they've gone at least without a couple of a paychecks here. You've got to feel for these people here, Brian. Yeah, the way I understand it, if you could get them back to work on Monday, if you get them back to work on Thursday, they'll get paid, including back pay as early as Monday. So my hope is we have by tomorrow where we're dealing with a press conference where they've done it. Evidently, in principle, Chuck Schumer said yes on Monday and he's going back to his caucus. And I don't know if he got kicked to the curb because they want to kick him to the curb if they kicked this deal to the curb. But I just think there's going to be six Democrats at this point would say, you know, what's the point? They're not funding ICE at all. They've got to do it on their own. Let's just do this. Real quick, before I let you go, I wanted to ask you about the Florida Democrats yesterday flipping control of that Republican held state house seat there in Palm Beach, which of course is President Donald Trump's home turf, Emily Gregory, the Democrat, defeating the Republican John Maples in a special election in House District 87 last night. Big to do? Not a very big story? Like, what do you make of that, Brian? I think it's big. I mean, it's, again, where's the good news with the election? Republicans. I mean, I can't believe. I don't know anything about the candidates. Someone might tell me that, you know, this state election had a bad candidate. Well, Trump endorsed him. So, and this is an area of Trump won by 19. So I think it's a bad sign for Republicans. The good sign they have for Republicans is they got a ton of money. Their funding is through the roof. And Democrats are not. That's their biggest advantage. But right now, there's not a lot of good news.

For Republicans, especially when you consider Florida a safe space, and Palm Beach, the safest, but not in this election. So I think it's terrible. It's symbolic. It's not consequential. It's symbolic. Right. Well, I just wish people would study the cross tabs or whatever and figure out what's going wrong with the messaging. And then get the Iran War over with it in the right way and get the economy on track and then figure it out. Thanks to Brian Kilmeade for the chat on the Inez Says podcast today.
