293 segmentsFree the boobies. That's the show policy. There's no doubt about it. Continuation of dumber than we thought. Adam is here. Dave's here. My name is Chad Hartman. Now, Adam, if you missed it, we have new chairs, and they're awful. They're just, they're awful. I'm in the captain's chair right here. I am famous captains. I'm the captain. I'm the captain. Famous captains 651-461-9-226, and I just beat him to it. Captain's duping. Oh. Captain Stubing. Kirk. Captain Kirk. Oh, the Star Trek captains. You got your Picard. Yeah, he got several. Kangaroo. Yeah. Oh, nice. That's a great one. Captain Kangaroo. And Toneal. Yes. That's Daryl Dragon. And I know this. A couple of times I've dismissed Daryl Dragon. And the Daryl Dragon crowd comes out of nowhere. You don't realize how talented he was. Right? I don't think Daryl's with us, right? I, no. No. Love. Love will keep us together. That's their number one, right? Muscat Love? Darrell left us in 2019. How about Tony? Is Tony with us? Really making me work hard. Tony, Teneal? I'm going to say she is. I think she's still with us, but it seems like you'd hear her at, like, Grand Casino. Tony Teneal and the colonel. You know, she has to. She upgraded. She upgrade. Tony alive and hopefully well, 86 years old. Nice. Nice. Describe the chairs if you missed it. I mean. They look nice. Yeah. I feel like it's pointing me forward, you know, like it's because they're high top chairs. Yep. Not a great back. Not a great lower back. I got to admit, of course, I'm wearing shorts and the fabric is quite abrasive. And no armorous. Who gets new chairs without armrest, Dave Arrigan? Does anybody do that? The armless? If you're in the office, you need an armrest. That's part of it. The armless community is going to be very upset that I, that it gives it. Did our guest just respond to you? I saw you look at your phone. No, no, I would know. All right, well, I'm going to send the tweet. Looking for the most annoying thing we have here at Odyssey. The dual factor email. deal to get in that every couple days just kicks you out. Hey, you got to put in your coat again, dummy. What else is really annoying at work that you just have to put up with? 651-461-9-226. Remember during COVID when we had to do the... Every day you had to come in, you had to complete the checklist. Yeah. Hadn't been out of the country. Right. But you were here. Every day. Every day. This guy, I was, I was literally banned. The hosts were not allowed. Yeah. And obviously I go to the Western White House, but I would have come in.
Like, I, you guys know me. We were good. I was, yeah, you, you can't wait until I leave, right? Yeah, there were a lot of that. How about when, how about when we had to go to, Iheart, Clear Channel, whatever we're calling it then? Because we, we didn't think it was safe post-George Floyd downtown. Because the window did get smashed. The doors got smashed, right? We did a Saturday and a Sunday show, didn't we? It was nice that there was partnership between the two outlets. What do you have? That's annoying. For me, it was the two-factor authentication. Yeah. Aside from not getting paid, it's that. I can't tell which one is worse. Yeah. The whole building would be my suggestion. It's just a disgusting building. I like it. Builds character. Again, I don't even think Cambria's ever even there. Are they there anymore? I don't see anybody on there. I don't see a soul in there. How about this? Why don't we just move the studios down there and see if the Davis family even notice? Right? That was going to be one of our big things when Mick, look, when he and Marty put that together and then I said, we've got to have speakers outside and you have to put in glass so you could see us. And he kind of looked at me and look, I got it. Well, we didn't have speakers out there and people that are literally go up their face to the screen to be able to see hands over the face, you know. But yeah, we take our, I'd still like us to go to one of these buildings that's now empty and go to like a skyway level and put the studio right there. That'd be sweet, right? Absolutely. Outside of just moving right to the cul-de-sac in Rosemont, do you want to stay downtown? No. I do like to move closer to home, but... Okay. But if closer to home is not an option, I'd rather stay downtown. I still like downtown. You still like downtown? Again, you'd prefer, you know... Yeah, closer to home is better. I'd rather be downtown than have to go further west and drive through downtown every day and back. Yeah, I mean, the parking's a pain. Some of us are more creative than others with the parking, but it's still good. On Thursday night, the president... is going to address the nation. We talked about this yesterday when it first popped up, and I think I said, is this Iran? What is this? But what would you say an hour ago or so? He was asked about it? Yeah, he was in the Oval Office, you know, doing the thing he does, meeting with a, you know, big-time world leader. And hey, let's just bring in the press and they'll scream questions at us. And he was asked by a reporter if he can give any sort of a little primer, a little hint, little something, little tease on what's coming up. And who did he spill the beans? I'd rather save it, but it's really big news. It's really, really big news. And our country has to shape up.
But what we're going to be talking about Thursday is it doesn't get bigger because without free and fair elections, you don't have a country. We'll be discussing other things, too. But it's going to be a very big announcement. It's going to be big. That's what I guessed. It would be about the elections. That's it, right? If it's really, really big, there's only one thing. He's going to say he won in 2020. There are also reports he's going to say Georgia. was completely overwrought with fraud, and so Assoff and Raphael Warnock are no longer senators. Should, if it turns out this is it, should the networks carry this, if he's going to make the case for, in all sincerity, let's not even overhype, how many times since Joe Biden was declared the winner? How many times has he said it's a fake election? What are you guests me? Own words, true social, whatever. Five thousand times? Yeah, honestly. At least. He can't let it go. He needs to find Elsa and let it go. The answer is no. The network should not carry this. Why? To have him come up with another crazy theory. about an election. By the way, he's the president again. Does he forget this part? He wouldn't be president right now. Well, that's if he left, and I'm still not convinced he's going to leave on his own. But if this is it, I think the networks are well within the right to say, give us some idea what you're going to say. Well, I think he just gave us more than some idea. If we don't have free elections, we don't have a country. Well, that's it. I won in 2020, and here's the new international proof where it was altered. What are the chances that there's going to be consensus and that we believe him when he says this? Whoa, oh, my, this, hey, you know what I doubted you? You lost 60 sometimes, but you know what this one? This has something to it. Well, we're beyond that, no matter whether it's something that the left has, that the right would agree to or something that the right has. There's no chance. Even if it was a video as plain as day of something, there would be no agreement on it. How about you, though? For you, a person who's still open-minded objective, could he present something Thursday where you're like, okay, now for the first time, I think there's a question. It'd have to be something. remarkable. That's what, right, Dave? It would have to be something so overwhelming, and it can't be just from one of the goofballs. And one of the goofballs includes the head of the FBI cash betel. I mean, do you trust cash betel? No. Not chance. No. They're all just sycophants. They're all. I disagree with you. I think the network should carry it and then just. Fact check the hell out of it. Okay. What do we think? What do you think, Dave, before we go? It's, I mean, I don't know, you know, I'm involved in an R&D project, is major with us tomorrow. I got to confirm that. Okay. We'll have to, because we've talked to him about it. I mean, the last few times when he spoke at prime time, it's been nothing. He hasn't added any new news.
At all. And he hasn't had that many primetime speeches, but the last two, because they have like a, was it, 15-minute window or something? He's talking so fast, and he's just going over the same stuff he says all the time. You know, for elevating, like if this is, on my command, we have just sent in the first 10,000 troops of the 75,000 we're sending to Iran. and we're going to take this country over. We couldn't get Greenland. We're getting around. By the way, Colonel Hunt with this at 105. It's something of substance, but Dave, do you think, so I'm no. If it's the same old song and dance, no, I think there should be standard, and it's not easy to turn the president down. Adam is saying yes, and then just are you putting up a Chiron, correcting them as he goes, or are you waiting until the end? people there saying this is not true. Yeah. What would you do? I think if I was the network, I had to approach the administration beforehand and say, tell me what you got. If you want our air, okay, show us what you're going to say. Show us the proof right now or you're not getting it. The problem is what the White House is going to say is we don't trust you to leak it. And then you'll leak it and he'll be reporting. Tell him the president it himself. Yeah. Well, he's one of the best on background. By all accounts that a lot of those people that he savages, that he'll call him and say, not for me, but he says, probably, Adam, you know, that happens in news incessantly. And if you're not in this business, you don't realize it. But there are a lot of times, folks, on stories I'm talking about here, even sometimes when the source is pushing back publicly, or that source is the one who told one of us what's going on. They just feel like they have to play that game. Should the networks carry this if it's just another item how the 2020 election was stolen and how he defeated Joe Biden? 651-461-9-2-2-6 skin. Want to call? You want to say he's absolutely right. I've seen it. I know it. Donald Trump won. He's been right. Lindel's been right. Rudy was right when he was sweating at the... No, he wasn't sweating at the landscape place, but that still is such a great one when they thought they were going to the Four Seasons Hotel, and they went to four seasons landscaping. I mean, we cannot forget how, I remember I was, I know this was shock a lot of people. I was playing golf, and I was on Twitter, and I just, I went up to decide to start laughing to these guys. What do you? I go, look at this. And they're in front of like, you know. Gertner's or I'm trying to think of a landscape. Gertons? Yeah. Bockmans. He's by Bachmans. Talk about a good. It's so good. Should they carry it? I want to talk Amber Schult. All you have to do, I did it again yesterday during the commercial. Team shoal.com. S-C-H-O-L dot com. By the way, update, Adam cannot stand the chair. He's going back to an old, reliable chair with an armrest. You know what if you meet with Amber? And you say, Amber, I'm thinking about switching to insurance, but I need an armrest. Amber and team will get it on. It's Scholl and Associates. When I came back in 1990,
Amber was not running the office then, but I tried it out because my father tried it out, and other family members have tried it out. And they've been great. Do I check every couple of years and make sure they're still giving me the best rates? You're damn right, I do. And this place is running as well as ever with Amber Scholl and a team. It's Sholl and Associates. Team Sholl.com. S-C-H-O-L-L dot com. Now, it's not just these guys coming up with their own insurance. If you want that, this isn't right. You know what I want? I want a heavyweight big knocker company like American family. So you got this big, powerful company with the success and leverage they have with a great, properly, efficiently run local office. It's the way to go, team shoal.com. Deep cut. Yeah. This is good. What do we have today? You've always been a grateful dead guy, just like Adam, haven't you? I have attended. Three grateful debt shows. Contact hire or do you take care of it yourself? Oh, no. I was full active participant. Including, hey, I've never met you before. You look like you're about to die. What are you smoking? I'll take some. That was a little bit younger me. I'm not sure I quite would do it, but you never know. So Jerry died this day? No, no, no, no, no. First of all, we've got the underdog French club taken on Spain this afternoon. We got that 2 o'clock, right? That's a 2 o'clocker. But, I mean, come on, it's July 14th. It's Bastille Day, boys. Come on. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. Wait a second. The French get to play on Bastille Day? They've cooked the books again. Cook the books. It doesn't seem fair, does it? I'm not national pride on the line tonight. Oh, my guys. This is in Dallas. Is that where this one? Fast deal day. No, it's in France. No, thank you. I appreciate that. The matchup, the tilt, the pitch. Is it in Dallas? Big D. I don't know. I thought maybe it was. Dallas Stadium. I think it might be at the small little cowboys place. Yes. Arlington. Okay. And then tomorrow. Is that Miami? England, Argentina. That one's Atlanta. Atlanta. And then how many games have we played in New Jersey? Like just a few, right? A few, yeah. But not as many as the other ones. It should be an L.A. The championship game should be at SOFA, right? Don't you think that's where it should be? Why do we still do a third place game, by the way? Yeah. There's a third place, third place game in Miami. Okay. New policy, three of us. Don't even show. You know what? See if Politic will get injured in that game. Okay. I mean, come on. Get out of here. Should, if the president, and he's going to throw him a couple drips and drabs, but if the point is, here we go again on the 2020 election was stolen. And he's calling it really, really big again. If we don't have fair elections, we don't have a country. Even though his own top people told him it was fair. He obviously was within his right to go to court. Went to court, I think, 64 times. He had a couple minor victories. He didn't have a single substantial one. Should they carry it? I'm no.
Dave is show us some proof and then we'll let you know. And Adam is carry it and then either fact check while it's going on or fact check it after. Where do you stand? 6-5-1-461-9-2-2-6. Third-place game like the bronze medal game in the Olympics. He had that? I don't know. I think with the bronze medal there's a little more juice to it than the third place in the World Cup, don't you? Yes, there's an actual medal given out. World Cup is the trophy goes to the winner, and that's all she wrote. That's it, yeah. Every network should always broadcast the presidential address to the nation, even their vomiting nonsense. Always fact-checked after, but the nation has a right to know the state of the mind of the president. I agree with that, and I think Major was pointing that out about, you know, sometimes in interviews, the... You know, even if you press somebody, what they don't say is just as important often as what they do say. If more texts, keep them coming. 651-461-9226. I'll read a bunch of texts here and we'll react. If Trump had definitive proof, the election was stolen, he wouldn't be waiting until Thursday announced it. He would be all over every news outlet now announcing it. What do you think of that? Yes. He would. Can he stop? I mean, he didn't, he could have said. I think it was the Iraqi president today. I think that's maybe who he was with. Who looked like an Iraqi president. He looks like what an Iraqi president should look like? So he looked like Saddam Hussein. He looked like a younger Saddam Hussein. Is it possible it is Saddam Hussein? He had so many body doubles. What if this guy says, hey, by the way, you killed the body double? That guy, by the way, was a good body double. 651-46192-2-6. Do you wish you had a body double also? Would it make your life a lot more fun if you had a body double? Textor, I agree with Adam. Carry the speech fact-check in real time. He should be fact-checked every time he opens his mouth. More text. I wish there was a tape delay broadcast, and it can be fact check as the delay is running. Well, like in radio, what's our delay here? Five seconds, seven seconds? Seven and a half. So we have to do it, you know, because sometimes filth is uttered. Adam. Maybe that's what we need to do with the president. We decide we get this with the sushi boy. We don't know that, you know, and they have to hit that over and over again when he's offering his stuff. Just a thought, what if he had voted for Trump and office in 2020? Would we be better off today? He would not have had four years of anger planning how to get his revenge, and he would no longer be relevant in politics. That's a good one. I could have saved that grasp. Okay. I think we all agree without COVID.
He wins, right? I think so. Right? The economy in a number of ways was faring well. Hot. The Democrats put up a group of candidates to run against him that was, can I go, what is the definition of motley? Can we look up motley? Am I getting myself in trouble? Do I need to be, but Joe Biden was a lousy candidate. I mean. What is the deaf? Ooh, it's an adjective meaning an incongruous mixture, a haphazard assortment, or a garment exhibiting multiple colors and varied elements. In the neighborhood of Motley, okay? We saw one of the videos I saw yesterday with the passing of Lindsey Graham was when then VP Joe Biden is involved in reading the oath of office to him. I mean, razor sharp that Joe Biden glib. This is in 2015. By 2019, there was about a 50% drop. By 2021, I went to 75%. But where are we at? Right. Now, again, considering he incredibly reluctantly left. In 20, never even flipped the keys, never had him there, never coordinated between a misreasonous. Mild way to put it. Yeah. Reluctantly left. Yes. I'm not convinced he would have left in 24 if he won. Are you? If he wins in 20, November of 2020, when his term is done, does he say Mike Pence? I mean, is he running? Does he cancel the election? I guess it depends who wins, who's coming in. But let's say he handles the departure normal. Yep. Would we be better off? Yes, I think so. Think so? Because it's not an administration that's nearly solely focused on revenge. They didn't have four years to come up with the... Project 20, 25. The Ross Voits the world. Yep. And I think there's still people in that administration who are still trying to keep it in the guardrails. I agree. Damn. You know, now, by near the end, he had lost a lot of the General Mattis's and a lot of the General Kellys and Reince Prebis and others. But... I mean, I guess if Marco Rubio may be behind the scenes stands up to him, but like there's no one there right now who says anything but you're right. You're right. And the revenge wouldn't have been built up quite as much. You're both probably correct and what the texture said about the president not being a focal point of politics, though. I don't know that that's true. Yeah. He might be a year and a half out of office then after two terms. I don't think he's just sailing off into the, you know, riding off into the sunset. You were talking about watching a video. I just said about Biden. You were watching a video with Trump.
from what was 2015 or 2016? Yeah, somewhere in there. Right. He's not as unrecognizable as Biden, but if you think Donald Trump is the same person now as he was then, it's not even close. It's not close. Right. That is a totally different guy than he is now. It's not close. So who knows the deterioration, but even if let's say, like, okay, let's, we'll save this one for ask. But no matter who, if he leaves in 29. The idea that he's going to say, buy everybody publicly. I'm just going to hang out at Mar-a-Lago. I'm going to leave social media. He's going to be out there all the time. He's not going away until he passes away. And again, I hope that's a long time from now. I don't. I. Anybody who's celebrating Lindsey Graham's? God, people celebrating Lindsey Graham's death. You're gross and pathetic, even if you disagree with him. And somebody said, oh, you were quiet in Biden and Mayorkas. We probably brought up the border fiasco and incompetence about 250 times, and I've given Donald Trump endless credit for closing the border. The ice part, no. Closing the border, yes. Ask is next. 651. 461-9-2-2-6. What questions do you have for Adam, Robert Carter, 651, 461, 9226. February 1, 2021, 29, who will be the President of the United States? February 1st, 2029, who will be the President of the United States of America. Marco Rubio. I agree. Dave, who do you think it'll be? Corey Heppala. Corey Heppler, and will he tell Brian Bass first? Great moments. Love you, Corey. And W. Radio history. And every one of us in this room thinks Corey Heppler is a supremely nice guy. But Wayne decided to run, which was a hell of a leap. for a guy who never talk politics on his show. And at that time, the program director, Mrs. Mr. asked one question to somebody and let him go and all the other things. What are he telling me? Don't talk politics. Be like Corey. Don't talk politics. And also then he's going to run for governor. And then he doesn't tell. Us, doesn't tell the station, doesn't announce on the show, doesn't tell his bosses. Our guy basked. We like, great guy. I miss more of them on Twitter and stuff. Now he's kind of a brain wizard. And MP, he tells Brian. And, oh, man. AM radio in the... The future. The 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s was just a juggerna. Right? And then slowly but surely, FM becomes more of a factor, not just with music, but with the spoken word. And across the country, there are a lot of powerhouse FM talk stations, like my former station, the fan. Tremendous success.
Also, this idea that if you just take, let's say, an AM radio station that's not doing much, and you put them on FM, boom, they're going to be a juggerna. B as in B, S as an S, second, suit you. You've got to have the right product. But AM radio is hanging on. And one of the areas where it's trying to hang on is staying on the car radio. And so there was some sort of meeting. in front of Congress yesterday, in front of a committee or something. And we brought out an Instagram influencer to help save the day for AM radio. We brought out an Instagram influencer who uses this platform to promote his main job on Instagram. That was the decision we made, ask Adam anything. Your thoughts. He's a mad of many talents. Yes, he is. And if somebody can save AM radio. It's Jason. It's Jason to Rush. A man who's using as a way station until he goes back to TV. And right now his Instagram influencing, that's our guy to save. Absolutely. Dave, Eric, how are you feeling about that? Here's the thing. Have you seen his place in St. Paul at sunset? Oh, my God. There are some nice pictures, right? And he looked tremendous. The sport coat looked great. There we go. One last thing. I'll get to a lot of text. 651-461-9-2-2-6. Bought caramel rolls yesterday that you needed to bake, okay? And they came out of the oven, timed it right. The caramel sauce on the bottom flipped it over. A warm caramel roll. Can it be topped? It can be tied, but we're talking perfect foods, a warm caramel roll. Is it a perfect food? It's pretty close. Right? I mean, you can have a bad caramel roll, but a good caramel roll with even caramel distribution between the rolls. It's got a seep in there. Seep in. Now, do you want pecan? Proper seepage. No pecans. No pecans. See, I go back and forth. These did not have pecans. And you know, the middle part, the roll of that part? I mean, that is so. Oh, you pull that out and come on. Where are we going here? Did it turn into a different topic? All this is there? No, I'm with him. Gouie. Delectable heaven. Go ahead. It's 2026. Not enough protein. It's a protein. I'm sure there are protein-infused caramel rolls out there somewhere. Other perfect foods, Adam Carter, perfect food. Could be a combination, too. Because I might say the bar and meritage with great wine and oyster. That's perfect. Combo. Yeah? What do you got? Red wine and chocolate is a perfect combination. Red wine and chocolate. It's also good. Like a food item, though, when you have it, if it's prepared, as Sam Torrance might say, useful. Like, it's perfect. I love Sam Torrance when some guy hits like a 390-yard drive, and there was a faunaver. Sam just goes, useful. That is useful. I go back to the, my favorite meal of all time is a.
Walleye, shore lunch. Fresh cow walleye. You know, in the buggler. Slice potatoes also in the buggler. You know, some Lowry seasoning salt for the potatoes. Salt and pepper. No, no tartar sauce needed. No, I mean, you can. Maybe a hint? Slice of bread. You put the fish on the, just straight up wonder bread, white bread. White bread. With the. Walleye and the potatoes and then on top, maybe some onions, sliced onions. Oh, man. Dave Harrigan, perfect food. Give us, don't, please don't tell me the Walmart Sam's Club. Well, my second choice was the Costco chicken tortilla soup. I would say a perfectly manicured prepared cheeseburger. Grape bun, good amount of good cheese. You don't need a condiment on it if it's done perfectly. Pretty good. Adam, if people become too reliant on social media as far as asking questions about the simplest things and can't think for themselves anymore. 100%. Just do it. You don't need to ask permission from everybody. Hey, can you give me a good advice? It's just like nauseating sometimes. Go do it. Texer says ketchup on a hot dog. Oh, gosh. Bacon and eggs. How about just a peak steak? Yeah. Okay. Where you borderline burnt it, but on the inside it's very. Almost purple. Yeah. I mean, it's right. New York strip, too. Oh. I'm more of a rib-eye guy. I've moved away from the ribby. The marble is too much for you? New York strip is the superior cut of meat. Oh, get out of here on this. Get out of here. Tell Adam, I agree with the efficient, but you need coal slot. You also need coal slot. You don't need it, but yeah, I mean, that's a good accoutrement to have. Yo, Adam, do you think the U.S. national soccer team will get to the point of having a parade to the Capitol, even when they lost the World Cup like Norway? Yeah, how about Norway? They get to the quarterfinals, and they go nuts. Get out of here, Norway. I mean, I love the whole Viking Road thing, and I was into it. But they lost me two things. Holland, when we're at the crux of the game, he walks off. He sits and watches, and then they have this giant parade for finishing in the quarterfinals. Have some standards you were Norwegians. Come on. Adam, my kid's going to Madison this fall. Are parents of college kids too old to jump around? No. But you might want to pass on the frat party after. I remember when a buddy of mine his dad came down and partied with us for like three days. That's trouble. It was problematic. Wes has called in. Wes, thank you so much for listening. Go ahead. You're on CCO. Oh, you betcha, Chad. Hey, I wonder if Adam knows this. I was told by a guy that if you eat one thing at a time on your plate, you know, the Atlantic carrots can't touch the roast beef and stuff like that. It's a sign of latent insanity.
So you're almost OCD if you can't have body, the mashed potatoes, can't get to the carrot or the steak? Yeah, one thing at a time. You know, I know Adam Butters and Brett on both sides of the sandwich. I remember that. So I'm kind of wondering about that. If he's heard that, you're nuts. You're basically crazy. If you eat one thing at a time, French fries, then the cheese burger, or whatever. I'll say, I don't notice many people who do that. Like, I'm going to finish a lot of times what I'll do. And this usually happens if I'm at some gala or event and you know you get the... Hold on a second. You just had to know I was at a gala. $10,000 a plate dinner. I'll often eat my vegetables first. I want to finish my vegetables. What? Because then I like to... Because, you know, they're not super great. You just want to... They're good for you. So I want to get those out of the way. Thank you, Wes. That's a horrible answer. Why? But I don't notice too many people saying I'm going to finish this thing. You don't like any vegetables? Oh, no, I do. But like the vegetables you get. If they're like mass produce or, you know. The medley? The cheap medley. Yes. That's not that good. Yeah, but if it's a gala or a gala, most of the food's garbage. It's not like you're going, whoa. Now I get to the chicken. Yeah. They just made 500 chickens. These are really good. New favorite vegetable. Von Hansen's broccoli. The seasoning they put on it. I've had it. Very good. And all you do is quick on the grill, just flash. It's so good. Broccoli is a tremendous vegetable. Versetalini. How different is broccoli versus broccoli? Longer word. Yep. And they're longer, too. Broccoli, you know, broccoli is kind of chubby. Yep. It's like short and stout. One has had the Ozzymp. One has not had the Ozepic. 651, 461, 9226. More of Ask Adam, we need more of your text. Water. When it's going to feel like a hundred day after day after day. If you're not drinking water, what are you doing? You need to drink water. You need to drink water. where ideally you get almost all the contaminants out of the water. How about a place that will come out and test your water? I have the place Aquarius Home Services, earning the right to be recommended since 1987. They are partners with Connecticutcom. That tremendous Connecticut drinking water system. I can use some water right now and I have water to my right. And that's not from here. It's from my place where I have the Connecticutal drinking water system, lived in just a few houses since 1993. Every one of them I work with Aquarius home services. They're great. Right now.
You replace your water softener the month of July with Aquarius. They'll give you $500 off when you're treading in for a new one, no matter how old it is in the condition because they believe so much in their product. You hear so many people talking about Aquarius. You want to know why? Because they're great and they're reliable and they get it done every day. Aquarius homeservices.com. We continue with Ask Adam Anything. Should a radio caller insult the guests? That was rude. Do they mean a radio host insulted guests? Or did they think that our caller Wes insulted me? Yeah. It's... I don't think so. I didn't feel insulted. We can be passionate and going back and forth and understand. It's a bit like pornography. You know it when you see it. There are certain lines that are just... Too far. Well, I'll give an example because you opened up the show yesterday talking about the reaction to Lindsey Graham and some people just going to the lowest, lowest, lowest common denominator. And I saw it yesterday and I tweeted it, I think last night. No, I tweeted last night. Katie Miller, Stephen Miller's wife, the fact that. She married that guy automatically makes me question every judgment she's ever offered in her life because I find him, let's quote Hillary, deplorable. Yes. Okay. I mean, he's, I know what kind of nation Stephen Miller wants and it's very clear every time he opens his mouth. And she's become a commentator and her voice matters. If you like it, great. If it's a part of the conversation, fine. But Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham, who once, even though they're in different parties, got along very well, where the famous video, Lindsey Graham, like 14, basically says, if you don't like Joe Biden as a person, there's something wrong with you, right? And then because Lindsay made the transformation from McCain type to a Trump type, he then blistered Biden on a regular basis. He decided he had no choice. He wanted to stay and be a flunky of Donald. So Joe Biden puts out a tweet expressing shock and condolences. And Katie Miller tweets back at him, did your staff write this? Now, I'll just speak for myself. I was never reluctant in saying Joe Biden was not up for the office, the job, and they were hiding him. I know you were also. Okay. So this wasn't a show, like somebody was talking about, you know, like we mentioned, we didn't talk about Biden, the majorcas in the border, talked about it all the time. Joe Biden should not have been present. He should not. He wasn't equipped to handle the job. But that's your line right there when he expresses condolences, that this is the time, I got to get my clicks in. I got to do my brand. I got to my people with me. Just gross, grotesque, disgusting. It's a person. By the way, Katie and Stephen Miller were like friends with Lindsey Graham. So you should be grieving. You should feel terrible that your friend, but no, clicks. We're all about clicks. Just.
I think it's a pathetic life that if you just always have to think, how do I think of my brand, even when it's about a friend of mine dying, but this guy I don't agree with, so I got to attack. What an existence that is. I don't get it. And there's so many people out there that, even not to that high level, but. Just the level where being a jerk and being a complete buffoon is, you can monetize that nowadays. It's, I just don't get it. And. I mean, let's just stay with it for a little bit more. It works. That's why they do it. Flat out works. It works in this business. It works in politics. It works on TV. It works if you're starting your own thing. I mean, some people are like genuine and sincere about it, but then don't go to the venom. Don't go to the lowest common denominator. Do you, I mean, do you not have some? shame to do that. And I made this point, it was more, I made it on air and then we talked a little offer. I thought the number of senators who are Democrats who talked about Lindsey Graham, the person, I found it sincere, kind. Like I saw Joy Reed, who I've never cared for with some of her comments like borderline celebrating Lindsey Graham said. Who, I mean. Unless it's like one of the most vicious individuals ever. Who celebrates it? That's like when Walls, when Trump took like three days off and Walls had that video. I think he was down in the southern part of state. Waiting for the news. Waiting for the news. Tim Walz, who's, you know, hasn't lived up to the standard of being a governor regarding fraud in some other areas. And it's moved much further to the left than the two of us for sure. But come on, he's. whimsically talking about the president's death. Really? Yeah. That's what we've turned into. Um... Clanging and banging? What are you doing? Oh, getting ready for the great semi-final here. Well, you could clang and bang. You got a haircut. Yeah, I did. Thank you for noticing. Your friend who I met. Holly Petta. Yeah. Very nice. Super nice. Wasn't she also involved in your backyard stuff too? No. No, different friend. Different friend. You got a lot of friends. Got a lot of friends. Is she a friend? One of my favorite people. Susie? Yeah. We got to go. See you. We say it often. We'll say it again on military matters. He is one of the best military guests that you can watch here, and it's been a true privilege, to talk to Colonel Hunt for multiple decades because Colonel David Hunt is here. Close to 30 years of military experience, certainly still plugged in, never shy, given his opinion.
on military decisions, on decisions by the commander-in-chief, and many times these are complimentary, many times these are critical, and the Iran war just continues to go on and on. I get it that we're nowhere near the time of Vietnam, we're nowhere near the time of Afghanistan or Iraq, but we were told right away that... We were told last year we decimated their nuclear capabilities. Then we've been told by the president many, many, many times. We've already won the war. Well, guess what? At 3 o'clock today, a naval blockade will resume once again with the straight. At one point, the president was saying yesterday, we're going to control it, and we're going to charge 20%. fee to everybody who goes through the strait. This is after official, after official within his administration said, these are international waters. We can't do it. So he backed away. So Colonel Hunt is here. What is your assessment of the administration's decisions the last few days, sir? Yeah, that's confusing. You talked to maybe guys who are experts on It's kind of, you know, blockading, and it's complicated, it's difficult. It's doable, of course. We've got the greatest navy in the world. But we're supposed to be in some kind of ceasefire. I haven't seen any ceasefire. I've seen as we hit them, they hit us. It's been going on since that troublesome MOU was put out. This goes back to... The idea of going to war with Iran with only your air power was a complete mistake. You can't do what the stated goals of this war were, and I think still are, with only air power. The problem is with 20 years of experience, bad experience, in Afghanistan and Iraq, putting soldiers on the ground was a non-starter. But they went ahead with it anyways. And this you have now, an Iran government that's active, an Iran government that can shoot at our bases and does. And now the very most valuable straight in the world is all but closed down again. And we are considering or actually doing something we said we'd never do, which is... charge some kind of fee for open international waters. This doesn't get any better. Oh, by the way, Israel is not, who was part of this war, and from my opinion, probably helped get us in this war. He's not even at the table. And their issues with Lebanon are tied into this negotiations with Iran because Hezbollah, who's in Lebanon, is a proxy of Iran. I mean, this is a tar baby that you don't ever want to get into, and we're deep into this. It's kind of embarrassing. I mean, we just, it didn't work with all the power of the air, the great Air Force, the great Navy, Marine Navy.
Army helicopter pilots. The Navy, they're great. This is a great, great military. But it's been misused. The plan was, it was not a good plan. And if you don't have that kind of a plan, you probably shouldn't have done this to all to begin with. Okay, a lot to chew on right there. Let's talk about the Israeli part. Obviously, Benjamin Netanyahu is the one to convince the president. despite members of his administration saying, no, don't do it. But he listened to BB Benjamin Netanyahu. The reporting is clear on that. He believed the success he had with Soleimani, the attack on the nuclear capabilities the year before, what happened to Venezuela, that he could do anything. It's obviously incredibly complicated, and you want to contain them with the nuclear capabilities for sure. I understand that. And now we've had the differences with Israel. Would you continue to keep Israel on the side if you're also trying to make a deal or are you at a point where I don't trust this regime at all to make a deal, so I'm not going to put Israel on the side? I think Medina was problematic. The Israelis are just one of the great countries. in the world. That people are great to have a phenomenally capable military. But Benjamin Netanyahu is a bad guy. But the answer to you question directly, yeah, Israel's going to be at the table. Because the issue that they're having in defending Israel and going in the southern Lebanon is a major part of Iran's issues. Not that I care so much about Iran's issues, but if you really are going to try to sign a peace treaty, then you've got to cover the issues. And you can't – it's an empty chair. And although that empty chair, which is Israel, is having a major influence on the negotiations. And I'm obviously not a diplomat. This, again, this goes – go back to – I would have loved to have seen this work because you could have changed the power structure. in the Middle East, if you could really have done something with a very corrupt murderous regime, which has been that way for 47 years. But not, you can't, you know, planning does matter. And this, it wasn't done. We've never been able to win. No nation wins a war from just the air. As we've seen again and again, we had air power in Vietnam. We had air power in Afghanistan and wreck. You need a lot more than just air power. If winning or taking over a country or changing the regime or changing their attitude, whatever, because a lot of people in Iran have to go away. like the current leadership, like the IRGC and the IRGC militia, all of that. And it's not being done. And now we've got the straits looks to me like it's closed again. Gas prices have gone up. The political pressure is mounting. And this all harkens back to if you wanted to do this, you had to do it.
correctly, but to do that, you would have had to put troops on the ground, and we didn't have the sand to do that. And I wouldn't want them on there, by the way. I wouldn't want troops on the ground and around, by the way. Okay, so Colonel David Hunt is with us. What is the most realistic concern with the naval blockade resuming again? Obviously, it happened before. And I believe the administration, at least believe the reporting that there are some individuals within Iran where they maybe want to uphold the memo of understanding, but the fact that the Revolution Guard wants no part of it. and the power they have that they'll continue to antagonize, continue to fight. So it really doesn't matter what the so-called new leaders are thinking. And the new Supreme Leader, we have no idea if he's functioning near where he's at at this point. Yeah, and it's also been very tough to get information out of anybody on what actually is happening. The examples you use of Soleimani and Venezuela, and bombing the nuke sites were great successes. Soleimani was killed from the air when they see 130. I mean, it was a very simple fascination from the air. Venezuela was a cakewalk. And bombing Iran the first time was absolutely successful. But to do... To continue to think that all wars are that simple is ludicrous. And this, it's right in front of us. I mean, we've allegedly shot over 15,000 targets. It's got to be up more now. And it hasn't destroyed or stopped Iran from being to retaliate with missiles and drones. We didn't get them all. And that's, and we're probably at least half of our basic load is gone, if not to the point where we're probably not going to be able to help Ukraine. Far reaching complications on this decision. And it doesn't seem as it's getting any better. And yeah, try. Let's get Israel at the table. And I also think money talks. You know, part of that MOU was a lot of money, Chad. I think that could help. Like, for example, get the uranium out of there. I think we're going to have to pay for it with Iranian money. I don't think we're going to ever be able to go in there in a denied area and think we're going to clear it out without a hellacious fight. I think we buy away into that. What it also seems now, Colonel Hunt, that maybe some of progress, that had happened with the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, plenty of it during the Trump first term, plenty of it during the Trump second term, but, you know, Biden, Obama also were a part of it too, that some of that progress has slowed down because of how Saudi Arabia has looked at the actions of both the U.S. and Israel.
And if you're looking for greater Middle East peace, and obviously there's a lot of questions about Mohammed bin Salman and how he treats people and what happened to Khashoggi, which was indefensible, it was awful, it was a decapitation. But if you come out of this with Iran getting a lot of money, some leaders killed. knowing that they have more leverage in the strait and your relationship has fallen back with Saudi Arabia when you're trying to have this Abraham Accords all throughout the region, you're in worse shape outside of whatever you've done, which is a huge part of the story. I don't want to diminish it. Whatever you're done with their nuclear capabilities. Yes. This was, again, Iran is real trouble. And my hope at the beginning of this was this was going to help. It was going to solve that. It would have worldwide implications that had been successful. It hasn't worked that way. It's not that Iran has won. Iran has endured. You know, they've endured a huge amount of bombings. Very, very aggressive. We did not bomb or take out the Iranian army because we were hoping for the population in Iran would rise up. and take over the government. Well, that's not happening without help. Again, that would take special forces, U.S. Special Forces, British Special Forces, et cetera, to go in and train and arm some kind of rebellion. But it's not happening now because the IRGC militia and the IRCC is about 400,000 total, is still in power. So this, and we haven't stopped bombing each other. And the straits, we could clear the straits. We've seen why we're not, I don't know. I can't explain why this, we've allowed this to happen, the mining, et cetera. It would take a lot of action. And oh, by the way, you really do need Europe, which we probably should have used at the beginning, although. I did not anticipate the Brits acting the way they did, not even let us use on all basis. So there was a lot of issues that have come up as we fight this war and now try to have peace that seems not to stick. It's very troubling. Colonel, as always, thank you very much your time. Enjoy your day. We'll reach out soon. You bet. Thanks. Colonel, David Hunt. I have immense respect for Colonel David Hunt. I always appreciate him coming on. The term tar baby is one. I understand what he means, a problematic situation. I also understand others who hear that in the racial connotations of that for many individuals, including individuals who are black, who are troubled by it. I don't know Colonel Hunt personally, but I've interviewed him literally hundreds of times. And I feel like the man's character has held up extraordinarily well as a member of the military and post in what he's done with us and many other media outlets. It's a phrase, Dave, I would not use. It's a phrase older individuals have used before.
but I understand why some are troubled by it. I also understand why Colonel Hunt used it without a hint in any way from him, any of his history, to say any racial animus in any way. But I didn't want it to go by without some sort of reference in reflecting how it can be troubling to some people listening, especially if you're a person of color who has heard that. and is uncomfortable the way some others have used it, not in the intention the way Colonel Hunt did right there. News started coming out yesterday. This in the light of the tragic death of Lindsey Graham, I think it was the president who first mentioned Lindsey Graham's sister Darlene as a potential... interim replacement with elections coming up. And it's a powerful story if you haven't heard it before where their parents died very early in life. Lindsay adopted his sister so she could get some of the benefits that he had.
Now, she is, I think it's this afternoon too, right? Where she is going to be sworn in to finish out the term. And again, I'll be clear about this. I think I've said this now, six, seven times. Anybody who is euphoric in any way in celebrating Lindsey Graham's death, vile. You don't have to, like, change your opinion on Lindsey Graham. If you massively disagreed with this approach, in particular how he switched over to Team Trump, that's fine. You don't have to say, wow, I loved him now. But good, glad he's gone. I mean, that's just not how either one of us is going to talk. Where do we stand on just a family member finishing out the term? I'm troubled by. Most famous in this state, it has to be Merrill Humphrey when Hubert passed away. She has shown no interest in politics before. She seemingly publicly and privately had a great relationship with her brother. This is not... criticism, Republican, or Democrat, because I just mentioned Muriel Humphrey. Shouldn't we find we, the collective, you know, I guess we should hold, in this case, it's what, the governor, Henry McMaster, I think his name is? Yes. Shouldn't it be somebody who has some background on the issues? And I'm not just career politician here. We've got to only people ever can be elected to office are politicians. No, I'm not that person. That's why, I mean, I get the initial appeal of Donald Trump. That ain't turned out to be Donald Trump. For some of us, that's not so good. But if you've shown. Outside of supporting her brother, which is great, and I'm sure she's incredibly sad, and I don't question that in any way. But is this what it should be? Just a family member who, I guess, knows how Lindsay would have voted? Because you're finishing the term. I mean, are you just trying, if you're finished, and I'm willing to listen to this, obviously, we're always willing to listen to disagreements here. 651-461-9226. Do you just want somebody who's just going to, I'm filling it for anybody, Democrat, Republican, I'm just going to try to vote how they would have voted. Or do we want somebody to say, I'm certainly very sorry they're gone, but I'm going to now look at the issues and I'm going to judge each issue and maybe in the end. Because I'm a member of the same party, I'm going to vote, I don't know, 90% with him, 95%, but should it just be a family member? Because Muriel and the sister here, not the only example. I guess her participation in politics was speaking on behalf of Lindsay once in a while at rallies, things like that. In this case,
Now, the state's got to move pretty quick. They're going to have a special election. Yep. I mean, if it's a friend, does that make you feel better? If it's not a family member, but someone they were close to, perhaps somebody that was an aide in the office? Does that make you feel better? I guess I would, in the short term, I would feel better if it was someone. who was paying enough attention that seemingly the few weeks that they're actually in office, got to get sent home a lot. It's a lot of vacation. A lot of vacation. It's Susie like. Not quite there. Let's not let's go enough. Let's not go to that far. Where. They don't have to be told. I mean, and I'm not questioning your intellect anyway. If it comes off that way, that's not what I'm trying to say. No, she's accomplished. She's got a like master's degree. Yeah, she's a very smart person. But take anybody listening right now and you put him into a different position totally and they have to get up to speed like this. That's not the easiest thing. It's not impossible. I just would rather have somebody who, for a short period of time, this has been his or her wheelhouse. And by the way, if she wants to run and while she's running for the permanent seat, she runs and she's getting fully up to speed, I like that better than, hey, I'll just step in and I'll just have somebody tell me how Lindsay was going to vote and I'll just do that. And just give the vote to Trump. Kind of was anyway. I was going to say. That's not too far from it. Let's see. No, just because your family doesn't mean you agree, politics torn family and friends apart. True. But the difference is, as Dave said, tax her, she was out there all the time, not only just supporting her brother. but supporting his positions. And she was even quoted talking about supporting the president, right? And I'm not expecting a Republican to come in at all. I'm like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Just a few more qualifications guess. Let's see. I think she'll do a lot better than some of the other people that we have in there, like different. Those from different countries and the medical communists that shall do better than they do. That's really open-minded, isn't it? Okay. All right then. Okay. By the way, if you're in office, you've come here, you've lived here. And by the way, if you're now a member of the Senate or Congress, I think that's pretty good assimilation. I think you've assimilated. And by the way, You get to agree or disagree, but let's say it was a Democrat who sadly passed away. Is this text you're saying, well, now we can get somebody in who just completely, I'm not asking for a complete disagreement. I'm just saying, you know, different parts of it. Will she receive the same benefits as a center? Perhaps this is a way to make sure she's taken care of.
Well, she wasn't on his insurance now when he was 71. Now, a friend of mine suggested when we're talking fraud, if it was, yeah, she's literally right now being sworn in by Chuck Grassley, right there. I mean, what an emotional toll on her, too. Let's not let that slide by. Okay. Saturday night. She's, because it seems like they were very close, she's probably waiting to hear from her brother to land in Ukraine, land back from Ukraine. And then at some point she gets a call that her brother is dead. And then a couple days later, she's a senator. That is a lot. A lot to take in in a short period of time. It doesn't matter what you think. You don't live in that state. Okay. Chad, you don't get what talk radio is about. We give opinions on things. We do interviews. We talk serious. We talk silly. I also criticized it when Muriel Humphrey took over for Hubert. So can I comment on that? I was only 13. Yeah, you had your eye on Arizona at that time. Yeah, I was trying to never get a job back here in this state again by going over and go. Shut up and dribble. By the way, I believe this is a texture who agrees a lot with Lindsey Graham. So if I was saying this about a Democrat, I'm guessing they would think, hey, pretty good. Does she get the lifetime benefits for a short time? If so, no, the voters should choose.
If she just finished, because she's going to finish out the year, right? And then they're going to have this election. I think that's what I have, right? Yes. So I was just looking at it. One week filing period that, let's see, goes until July 21st. Yep. Special primary, the second Tuesday after that. So that's August runoff. And then, yes, they get the new nominees. They'll have a couple months until they have the election on November 3rd. November 3rd. Okay. So should she get the lifetime benefits of a senator for a couple months? No, right? Probably not. But I guess, I mean, how do we do it? Does it have to win an election to get the benefits? Yeah, maybe that's what it is. Does it have to be in the bylaws? You know? Again, I'm not trying to be critical of her in any way. I just tried to show empathy of how this. She's a woman. That's it. If it was a man. It was his brother. Okay. Yeah. Chad, individual senators have to vote how the party tells them. They have no choice. I mean, we've got a lot of that now. You're right. But we still have a few who are like Thomas Massie, who are Republicans who vote against. Or there's a few, not many, Dean Phillips of the world, who are Democrats. But no, they're not totally instructed by their parties. The Boundary Waters issue. I'm not letting it go. Because now we're trying to find people because the area has been determined unsafe. And you're telling me again, because I know Adam talked about, we talked about just briefly yesterday. But we're going to talk more here. Tough luck. I saw a few of those texts. Tough luck. Those are the risks you take when you go to the Boundary Waters. Do you have no decency? If that was your wife, that was your husband, that was your brother, that was your daughter, that was your best friend who's in the Boundary Waters right now, and they're worried about fires and they're trying to get a hold of them, and somehow maybe they brought in a satellite phone for an exception or a cell phone that they're not using all the time, but they could get an emergency alert, get out. We wouldn't want that. No, the tough luck crop. Too bad. Give me a break. If it was somebody close to you, you wouldn't feel the way. And if you wouldn't feel the same when they're close to you, get a heart, man. What do you want to say? 651, 461, 9226. I'll talk Pella right now. I'll talk windows, doors. Do you honestly know right now? Because I think the number is very, very few. how your windows are holding up, how your doors are holding up, what options you have, how old are they? Should you have somebody out? How much would it cost you? Well, guess what? If you go to Pella Northland.com, you know much it cost you? Nothing. That's how much Pella believes in their product. A product, they have been a part of for over 100 years. They will come out and give you a professional assessment on... The few doors you have and the multiple windows you have in your house, maybe they might tell you, I mean, they're fine. Maybe what they might tell you is like they did in my previous house. You might want to redesign your kitchen like I did. I changed the way the windows worked in the kitchen. And it worked out better. When I lived in the house, I like the kitchen dramatically more because of it. Again, all this happens, petlandorthland.com.
You can do that. You can start there and you see everything that's offered up. Or you can also go to a showroom. Go to a showroom in Davestown, Woodbury, Brooklyn Park, and Plymouth. All available for me, two separate houses with Pella, and I would do it all over again 100% of the time. Pella Northland.com. All right, let's go, boys and girls. Give me your tough guy here approach on the Bounty Waters. We've got a Boundary Waters evacuation plan where we're trying to track down as many people as possible in an enormous area. Because of the heat, because of lack of rain, because of the wind, the decision is made to evacuate the Boundary Waters. And we touched on yesterday. I've also brought this up numerous times before. I find the comments arrogant. I do. Where people say, too bad. Those are the risks you take. So for those diehards right now, we're saying those risks. I want you to call her text right now. It's a loved one of yours is in the boundary waters right now where they have made this incredibly rare decision to close the boundary waters because it's not safe. And you're the one who says no satellite phone, no cell phone, nothing. We're roughing it. That's why we're doing it. I want you to think about the most important person in your life when you say that and think she, he, maybe it's your two kids. Maybe it's your wife who's in there right now. Maybe it's your best friend is in there right now. And they don't know the change of the conditions, which potentially has made this much more dangerous than they initially thought. And you're still sticking to too bad. That's the chance you take. There are risks, Dave, that we take in life. And some are much more adventurous than others. Where if you're going to participate in this, you have no option. You have an option here. You have some way. of communications. And these folks continue to say nothing. You should have nothing. I think it's cruel. I really do. Can you imagine if Lindsay was in there right now? And she had no idea what's going on. And there's no guarantee the whole place is going to burn down and be ended. It's not. But. You would want to have the knowledge to make the decision should I stay or should I get out of here. By the way, when they're tracking you down, they're saying, get out of here. You got no choice. So would you want her to not know about this? Of course not. Right? No, she's got one of her best friends has been in the Boundary Waters for the last few days. Yep. And we were able to, she was able to connect with her yesterday. And today was the day, okay, she's out. She had to get out.
And we were very happy to hear that. Yes. But, I mean, she was planning. She knew the fires were there. She knew where she was headed was a ways away, but things obviously can move, can change. Things get worse. Absolutely they do. And so she was ready, prepared to, you know, make a quick exit if she had to. She had a, you know, satellite connection, which is certainly not the same as the cell phone. It's not instant connection. Yeah. But you can send an SOS. You can. You know, figure out some things. It takes some time to get that message to somebody, then to get a message relayed back to you. So it's, like I said, certainly not an instantaneous thing like that. But she was at least prepared. But if you're not prepared, if you're up there to rough it, no, no, we're, it's 2026. I get that you don't want the influencer crowd there ruining the the, the roughing it, the paddling, the portaging experience for everybody. But there is a middle ground, I think, that can be figured out. Yeah. I don't want the PlayStation crowd up there, you know, where, you know, I don't need the TikTok crowd up there. I don't need Jason up there, posing for his latest Instagram influencing shot. It's just a backup. It's in case something unexpected happens. You're walking along. The two of us are up there. You fall and you high ankle sprain. That would be you. I'm much more agile. Better chance I would fall. Okay. So I now have a high ankle sprain and we're deep into it. We don't want to just have the satellite phone as a backup. This is what it's so easy. And like right now they're not texting as much in this one because I think they're afraid because to answer the question, when before when there's nothing going on, we were fine. Well, now we've got a circumstance. So call or text me right now and just tell me your best friend is up there. I mean, it could be your husband, your wife, your son. And something unexpected happens like this when. We knew it wasn't great, but it's obviously worse, and now you can help them out. You can tell them, hey, it's most likely to be okay because it's most likely to be okay, but you need to get out. You're saying to me, your child, your wife, you just want them to stick it out because they're tough guys, or if they were injured, hey. You're high ankle sprain. You barely walk. You're 30 miles in. Too bad. You took that chance. You got to put up with it. As opposed to somehow some help can get to you. Yeah. It's lunacy. It's absolute lunacy. 651-461. 9226. Among the texts, this is the risk you take by going to the Boundary Waters. This is a known risk you take when you go to protected wilderness area. Another texter, then we spend the tax dollars to rescue them. Again, somebody saying stupid topic, let it go. There are a lot of people who are adamant that nobody should have the backup. And now it's happening right now. Okay, so I think it's lunacy.
to say, these are the risk you take, okay? I get it. But this is a risk you take. But then when something completely unexpected happens, we don't want the backup, Dave? This is the risk you take. Many years ago, this was the risk you had to take. We now have the ability to not make that the risk you need to take. Among the tech. Well, let's take a call. Matt has called in Matt. By the way, before we get to Matt, Twins ticket Tuesday. That's right. Which game? Oh, you got to listen for the thing. Don't call now. Don't call now. No, go on. No, no, no. We call it three when you hear the thing. It's, of course, presented by Luther Kear of Bloomington. Luthercare of Bloomington. The game, we have a four-pack for next Friday, Twins A's. Of course, you can show up early, get your $2 beers, $2, $2 snacks. That is July 24th. And post-game fireworks for that one. Nice. When you hear the thing, call in, not now, not now. Matt has called in. Matt, thank you very much for listening. What is on your mind, sir? Hi, so I don't know if this, like, relates or if it's on the same thing or not, but like our daughter, who's in college just went out to Colorado and climbed Long's Peak and the Rocky Mountain National Park, and it's a very, very dangerous climb. hike, and we just added a satellite to her phone plan through Starlink. And she was able to do the whole thing about herself when we were in constant contact with her, which made us nervous, extremely nervous parents very, very happy. Yeah. So I don't know if that would be something that would, you know, help people in the Boundary Waters when they're in places that don't have... self-service. Sure. Absolutely. Something they can recommend. And did she feel like in any way it took away from her enjoyment? No. No, it added to her enjoyment. Yeah. She was able to like, I mean, she couldn't go on Instagram or anything, but she could like call us. She could send pictures to people. This is where I'm at right now. And, yeah, she thought it was great. And like I said, it made us feel so much better. Yeah, I bet. It's a pretty dangerous hike. Yeah, exactly. That's it. It didn't take away. I mean, we're huge nature buffs. And I think technology can definitely be mixed in and not ruined the experience at all with this stuff as long as you. do it the right way. I'm glad, most importantly, that your daughter had a great time. She's safe, and thanks so much for calling in. Yes, thanks, Chad. Among the text, 651-461, 9226, I've been to the Bounty Waters many times chaperoning high school students at my church. Long before cell phones and since cell phones are everywhere, the kids are not allowed to bring them, but the chaperones have them for emergencies.
But they were left off. I don't know if the alerts would work in that way. Boy, if the chaperones were supposed to bring them and they have them and then they don't bring them, not sure that's the right way to go. I mean, what's the point of bringing them up there then? All right. ABC, Susie and among her guests next hour, Jamie Yuccas. Here's WCCO TV, Chief Meteraldus Chris Schaefer. The extreme heat warning rolls on until Thursday and 9 p.m. Thursday at that. So we're going to bake for the next couple of days. Sunny, 96 today, feeling like 99 with the humidity. Almost a carbon copy tomorrow. 96 again, feeling like 99 under the sunshine. Thursday, a high of 95. Our highs will be in the upper 80s by next week. Right now we have a temperature reading of 92 degrees on News Talk 830 WCCO. Do you want that? I got it. Here, ready? Okay. Point at me. You know, you're talking right now with the mic on. Oh. What's the weather like out there? It's hot. Damn hot. Real hot. Hot and things. It's my shorts. I can cook things in it. Little crotch pot cooking. Well, can you tell me what it feels like. Fool, what is hot. I told you again. Were you born on the sun? It's damn hot. You can be the little thing. I saw it so damn hot. I saw on those little guys, the Orange Road. Burst in the flames. It's that hot. You know what I'm talking about. What do you think it's going to be like tonight? It's going to be hot and wet. That's nice if you're the lady, but it ain't no good if you're in the jungle. Thank you, Roosevelt. Here's a song coming your way right now. Nowhere to run to by Martha and the Vandellas. Yes. Nobody like Robin Williams. Not a one. Who is a comedian who is gone? That you miss. 651-461-9226, a comedian that you miss. I think Robin Williams is an answer, Susie and Dave, for a lot of people. I mean, the vastness of the intellect and the variety of ways that he could go. on a limitless amount of topics in that frenetic way of his cannot be duplicated, right? Dave, who can do that? Nobody. Nobody could. Nobody can. Probably nobody will. To answer your question, I think of three, and that includes Robin, who were... absolute talk show gold whenever they were on. Yeah. Whether it was Carson, with Dave, with Jay, with Conan, whatever it was, if you knew they were on, you had to watch. And I think Robin Williams, I think Norm McDonnell, I think Don Rickles. We were lucky enough to interview Don Rickles one time. Wow. Coming to town. I forget where he was going. And...
I assume we lost it in the purge when we got hacked or whatever. But it was great, but he just played a dead series. And so there was no hockey puck. There was no rant. There was none of that. But he was tremendous at talking about his career. And, you know, because I love the TikTok. Anybody says I'm wasting my time. I waste my time on a lot of. We all waste our time or we go to things we enjoy. And I end up seeing a lot of rickles. Again, who's like rickles right now? There's a lot of insult comics, but he was so mainstream with it. It would go after everybody and was... relentlessly funny. He was friends with the biggest of the big. Yeah. And he could go after him. And he could just fire off these lines that if you're listening, did that actually make sense? Yeah. What is he talking about? Didn't matter. It was funny. It was funny. Didn't matter. And also, just one more thing. A lot of the jokes that Rickles told back then. Not sure he could pull all those off right now. Oh, boy. Just a bit of a leap. Bit of a leap. Yeah. I read somewhere the bit that Robin Williams did when he was, obviously that was good. Good morning Vietnam. Good morning Vietnam. It was all improv, was a riff. He just did that. A lot of it. Yeah. That's what they say about his role in Aladdin as the genie. They wrote the role. They wrote the dialogue. And then he did his own thing. Well, I guess we have to redo the movie now. Thanks, Robin. But then for his serious roles, he was unbelievable. Very goodwill. I mean, just as Oscar and Goodwill Hunting. I watched something the other day where it, you know, because Damon's doing the tour now because of The Odyssey. And he talked about. how Robin Williams would sometimes ask them if they could shoot a scene like over and over and over again. And it was he and Affleck and then Gus Van Zant was the director. And they'd be saying, Robin, we got it. You're good. He'd go, no, what, one more. One more. Including the end, you know, when Damon writes him the note, and he finally goes, he bleeping stole my line. Stole my line. And that was not scripted at all. And according to Damon, it was the last one. And then they looked and went, it was worth it. Okay. Where according to Damon, they were massively over budget on the amount of film they used. And it was by far because of Robin Williams. And what a perfectionist. He was. Interesting. He could play some evil characters, too. What was the photo? One hour photo. Wow. Was it law and order? Is that where he had? Where he played a very serious role and serious accusations? I don't know. There's a movie he did with Pacino, I think. It was based on, like, Alaska. Yeah. The name of it right now. How about, wasn't he in Awakenings, too? That was a great movie. With De Niro, right, where they help people. They would bring them back. They had been in a coma forever. But, yeah, Robin Williams for sure.
Susie, do you have so many that comes in mind? No. No one. I really dropping the ball. I feel I'm dropping the ball today. I went long on the news. I was talking to you guys while my microphone was open. Well, you're on the phone at like 2 o'clock. My phone was Kathy. My daughter just called. I heard the phone ring. I'm like, Do I realize, am I in radio? Have I been doing this job? It's your first time. I feel like it is. But Robin Williams, I will say one time a talk show host asked him about what his brain was like. And if you can just imagine him, he goes, yeah, let's cut it open. And then he's like, hello, he just described. Because you just can only imagine. What a Cougouva brain he had. Like all the activity. He was brilliant. Yeah. Anyway. I mean, he was really. Among the suggestions. Chris Farley. Oh, that's great. Van down by the river. Right. Louis Anderson. Louis was very funny. Right. Louis lived, you know. I mean, again, some of these folks left us early. Yeah. Like Farley for sure. Some lived a little of us. Sam Kinnison. Where did you stand, Dave, on? Sam Kinnison I for me it was kind of short doses because it was just it was the scream of Palooza yeah and he was very talented I'm not trying to impugn his skill but it was it wasn't a lot of diversity wasn't quite my style no Nipsey Russell. Do we need more poets right now? Nipsey Russell. Norm McDonnell for sure. A number of people Rodding Dangerfield. I watched an interview the other day that popped up somehow. And it's Rodding Dangerfield. It's Ted Knight. It's Bill Murray. And it's the lonesome Chevy Chase. And they're promoting Caddyshack. And Chevy is such a bleep in it. And then because I watched that, the algorithm took me to an interview where it's Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Chevy Chase with three amigos. And he was just lonesome on that again. He's just a bad human being Chevy Chase. Just not only publicly, but all the people talk about him, just say. Bad. He's his jerk. Just a bleep. Mitch Hedberg. Oh, I loved Mitch. Yeah, very, very good. John Candy. Johnny Carson. Different type comedian, right? Because we don't think, you know, Johnny, but God, he had the monologue and everything and just amazing as he was. John Panette. A very funny, clean comedian. I have no idea that is. Me either. I've seen him before. I didn't even know he had left us. David Brenner. Like I think of him on The Tonight Show with Carson a lot. Jonathan Winters. Funny. Richard Pryor. How about Foster Brooks? Like, if your whole bit is just I'm a drunk. But it can make you crack up when he gets stuck on a word.
It could, right? But like if every day, I mean, and again, Dean Martin, he kind of turned into that person too, right? Where you just act like you're drunk every day. Maybe you were drunk. Yeah, yeah. Somebody says, Yucer. Man, when Yucer was funny, so good. I was thinking this. Cosby before everything happened. Yeah. Bill Cosby before everything happened was so. Dang funny. He surely was. And then we found out more about who was the comedian's name again, Dave? I'm forgetting right now. Who was one really? The rumors apparently have been out there on Cosby for a long time. And this guy kept talking about it. And finally more people started investigating. Is it Hannibal Burris? That's it. That is it. Think about the drip, drip, drip, drip, drip that was with Bill Cosby. Oh. You know, and all of a sudden it was, everybody was not to get caused. He didn't do anything wrong, but they were all out. Is he still alive? He is. Yeah. Quality of life, pretty poor, though, right? Like his sight had almost left him. Yeah. What prison had done. I mean, think about how massively popular Bill Cosby was. Fall from Grace. Yeah. Tremendous. Unbelievable. Well, that's why we did a segment a couple weeks ago. Who are the all-time falls from grace and Cosby is near the top of that list. I saw him live. I think it was at Treasure Island, probably a year before everything happened. He was great. He was unbelievable. Oh, yeah. At that time. I'm not going back. He's 89 now. Is he? How about just going back to comedy albums in the 60s and 70s and how he reached so many people because of that? All right now, France and Spain in a highly, highly, highly anticipated semi-final. Later this week, we'll have the World Cup final Sunday. You also have the Open Championship at Royal Burkdale. Did you play with a golf course the other day? Did you call it Royal? Where did you play again? Cleary Lake Regional Park. Royal Cleary Lake Regional Park, just for Royal. Although we then have the golf course in town called the Royal. We do. That's right. Quick question for you? Yeah. This idea that professional hockey players fake. injury is that always been the case is it new just are not not new in anyway and they're just dramatic they just full fall and hoping to get a card essentially uh hoping to get a card on an opponent or hoping to slow down an advantage, hoping to plant the seed. I have embraced soccer greatly during World Cup. That part of the game, disgust me. They're so, they're very theatrical when you fall. And, Dave, as we know, the announcers are the puppets for it. They applaud it. They applaud. This is great strategy. No, play the game, damn. So here's my point. If you could attend any sporting event at its peak,
What do you got? Because there are some people in France and Spain right now who aren't doing anything but watching this game right now, right? And the most popular sport on the planet without a doubt is this. The World Cup, and this has captivated America like no other World Cup ever. For me, a British Open. where they've had little rain and it's firm and fast, and they're in 600, 6 irons, excuse me, 300 yards, apparently lost the ability to speak. That is golf porn for me. So, like, I cannot wait to watch plenty of it. It's different watching it, but if you could attend any sporting event. What do you got? Because Dave, there's a lot of people who might say right here, France, Spain. Sure. Right? Absolutely. You know, and then we get the rivalry of England and Argentina. Mm-hmm. When do they play? Tomorrow, two o'clock. Tomorrow. Same time. They've scheduled it. to go head to head against the show. They said, what can we take on that is an absolute powerhouse? Let's try to take on the show. It's either take on the show or the espies tomorrow. I mean, what are you going to do? God, the espies. Things that I pay no attention to. I did not watch a second of the home run derby. I will not watch a second. of the espies you could tell me right now that adam carter is hosting the sps and i go maybe i have no idea six and i don't care exactly six five one four six one nine two two six spain on a penalty kick i mean perfect timing for our conversation thank you spain thank you france overshorn a poor kid crying oh man kids supporting France, crying the stands, Spain, 23 minutes in on a penalty kick, one zip over the best team on the planet. France. Well, I just go by, you know me, I just, I'm a sheep, I just go by the rankings. They've been ranked number one for a long time. Go, Espania. I'm team France. You know, they came up short to Argentina last time when Mbapé and Messi both were amazing. I kind of want France to get it ready. But I want a good game. Dave Harrigan, do you have one event that you would most like to attend if you could? I've always said World Series game seven would be absolutely amazing to me. You were three and seven. You had your chances. Didn't work out for it. Didn't work out. After watching the Winter Olympics again and USA Canada gold medal game. Oh, wow. I mean, any gold medal hockey game would be pretty, pretty darn good. Do you want to sit next to Billy? Yeah, I'd love to sit next to Billy. That'd be tremendous. That's the one game. You know, he joined, he was kind enough as he joined us first.
He told us all he doesn't really get nervous. He goes, I got really nervous that game, though. I'd be great with Billy because I'm sure whether it would be win or lose, he would treat after to whether we're celebrating or drowning the assurals. He'd be crushed, but he'd handle it in an appropriate way. He would. Absolutely. He'd be great about it. You'd still be devastated. You know. If it, for me, was like a British Open, and it was like the duel in the sun, where it's Nicholas and Watson, they're playing together. I don't have to worry about any other group, okay? And I somehow have a pass, and I can walk in the rough and watch. Are you in the ropes? Inside the ropes? I'm inside the ropes. I was not going to go intergolf there, but you did, so I will also. I'm inside the ropes. I fly over emergency trip Saturday because Scotty and Rory are eight shots ahead. And I get to see the two clear-cut best players on the planet and play the British Open the way golf is meant to be played is on the ground. It is. There's too much of the... green soft conditions, even on courses that have low budgets, they still water too much. Brown is a good color for golf courses. You know, not completely brown, but just watch the British. Now, if they had more win this week, that's the one concern that it might not blow. But if I could be inside the ropes, that's one. If boxing ever mattered again, Because the most electric atmosphere I've ever been a part of outside of my performances, but that's a separate question. I was lucky enough to go to Hagler Leonard. Hagler Leonard, what was that, 87? In a parking lot, Caesar's Palace is before all the casinos are now built their own arenas. I swear there were like two exits to get out. And there was like 15,000 people there and thought, well, there's fire. It's been a good run. But, you know, Leonard had come back multiple times. He was Sugar Ray Leonard. Did you want him to win? Or did you want marvelous? Marvin Hengler. What a great nickname, too. That's perfect. Marvelous. Perfect. And because he was the guy who was. rose up when he wasn't nearly as popular, didn't feel like he had things handed to him like Ray Leonard just kept winning and winning and winning and like that fight was never going to happen and it did and Leonard acted like Leonard and Hagler acted like Hagler and Leonard won a very controversial decision but like boxing is irrelevant you know so it's not possible for that to be up there. I'm just
You mentioned boxing's relevant. Who's the heavyweight champ? I have no idea. Is it the big chubby guy from Tyson Fury? Is that guy? Could be. I don't need. I have no idea. And I don't cast to these persons that folks who love USC. Griffin loves it. Mike loves it. It just doesn't do it for me. You know? The master, someone says. Masters would be pretty good, but I'm telling you, if I could have dry conditions at a classic UK course, and it's only two guys, yeah, that's at the top of the list for me. Rose Bowl, for a lot of people who are dying to get out there. Brew grabbing the grass. Wasn't enough for all of that yet. I got to believe some people, because we haven't had to yet, but I'm sure we will. Super Bowl, Viking Super Bowl. Getting back, January of 1977, last one for this club, there's only like, isn't it like six or seven teams who? are behind the Vikings now for longest gaps between a Super Bowl, like including like the lions obviously have never been there, you know? And they've still maintained and not just bud, but like Denny was a good coach, chilly one, Zimmer one, this guy wins. So they, you know, they don't have many like four-year stretches where they're dreadful. But that's like I was talking to a guy. The other day, a Kansas City reporter. And he was talking about how the twins seemingly do things right. And I said, well, yeah, I think sometimes that gets a little overhyped, too, you know, because the twins have obviously had the 90s after the Great Ron dreadful, the teens. They were pretty dreadful, you know. But I said, what would you rather have if you're a baseball fan? Would you like to have a team that has hung around and stayed in it more often than the comparison team? Or would you have the Can City Royals who most of the time are dreadful? But guess what? They won a World Series. That's right. They did. Right? When most people in this town pick the dreadful for the World Series? I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know what I would pick. Obviously, the World Series would be great, but I don't think I want to sit through decade after decade of just being completely worthless. Yeah. You're just awful. Right? So what do you do with that? South St. Paul Senior D. League hockey. Yes. That's where Adam Carter was kicked out of the league because he wasn't good enough. Dying to get to a Kentucky Derby and get all dressed up for it. Would that do something for you? Yeah, I think it would be pretty cool. That's a lot of people. A lot of people, but I think that's a... I'd like to do it. Once, it's a one-time thing. If I knew I was doing it, I would try to spend like some spare time for like a month trying to up my horse racing knowledge because it's pretty minuscule right now. I'd work more on the wardrobe than the horse racing knowledge.
I got some people for that. Seventh game between the twins and Cubs and don't care who wins, just sit back and enjoy the game. Can you enjoy the seventh game as much as you should if you don't care who wins the game? No. I think that's the correct answer. I think it just elevates more. Now, for me, as objective snarky media guy, I can enjoy it a different way. But I still think it's more fun if you're the, I mean, if you're not living and dying on every pitch, where's the fun in it? Has Billy picked you up on the three-wheel golf cart? No, but I still think that will happen at some point this summer. I think I'm going to have to, because of the move, I'm not as close to him as I once was. I think it's more I'm going to have to meet him somewhere. Although, I mean, I texted him a month ago. We were kidding each other about something. I don't know. Maybe the three-wheel golf card has crashed at this point. Well, I mean, now he's a Vespa guy. We know that. Yeah, we know he's got the Vespa. We know he's got the Vespa that goes 80. Maybe you can, you know, you can do get up on the Vespa together. How about this? Make a Dillon Larkin trade. We can call you on. We can go and get to, let's go, Billy. Get something done. Okay. Our friend Jamie Yucas in moments. Jamie in the house on the John Schuster Coldwall Banker hotline, I know you attended one of the early World Cup games at SoFi. You heard us commenting because we have the highly, highly anticipated Spain, France semi-final matchup taking place now with Spain up one zip with maybe about 10 minutes or so left in the first half. Where is your interest now in the World Cup? Are you still paying close? I'm yes, oh my God, you interrupt it, you called. So I'm, okay, first of all, I have YouTube TV. So I have the YouTube TV app up. with the game on that I'm not watching in the car, but I'm listening to it. And just as Spain was about to sound like almost capitalize on a second goal, that's when you guys called me. So now I don't know what's going on. You don't have to keep the update it. The fun thing is I feel like all my friends out here are all into it too. So it's like Saturday we were all at an event together and then we ended up going to watch soccer. I mean, it's like it's just, it's just been so fun. I've enjoyed it also. I have watched, I mean, significantly more than I thought I would, and I'm only doing it because it's fun. Yeah, I've enjoyed it. And I have to say I was an early, early, early adopter of the love for Erling Holland. So when Team USA got out, I went fully in depth because I just, I find him to be so funny, so joyful. So just what, like, we want male sports figures to be. Like, he can do no wrong in my eyes. Even the taxidermy raccoon carrying a bottle of whiskey back to Norway. I'm hilarious. My problem? When the game was on the line, Dave Harrigan, where was our guy? Was he on the pitch? On the bench. He was on the bench. I know. I know. I know. But you get...
Look, I'm sorry. I just, I think he's proved that men in sports can be joyful, have a good time. Like, I get what you're saying in terms of like the actual game. No, he didn't quit. Who knows? Dave, did he quit? Let's go with it. Let's report it. Jamie, put that in the tweet. Jamie Yucos told us the Norwegian star quit when it matters. She loves quitters. That's what we're hearing. No, you know what? Actually, you know what I kept telling everyone I was watching the game with? I was like, look. A Vikings got to give me a win, right? Like at some point, a Viking has got to give me a win. Nope. Nope. Nope. No, that was great stuff. Even the VAR, which I don't like it all. I think they've screwed up a lot of calls. You want some controversy a part of it. That's part of the artistry, the skill, the passion, and the ability to say, no, I see this call this way. You see the call that way? It's had plenty of it. Okay. I have now read about five stories about these. wide leg pants that have come back, the Zohran Mamdani pants that have come back, including Dave on a start today, about a number of injuries where women are just getting used to the Zohran Mamdani pants and the wide leg at the bottom and they're tripping and falling. Are you wearing the Zohran Mamdani pants? Sorry, sorry. I do not have the Zohran Mamdani pants, but I have gotten totally on board with the baggy jeans trend. It's taking me back to high school. I'm having fun with it. I'm wearing T-shirts, like I'm wearing baggy T-shirts, maybe a flannel over the t-shirt. Like I'm all in on the trend. We ran this story. because all of us got it in our feed, probably because a lot of us are kind of on the baggy pants. So here's my question for you. Yeah. Are you the person who secretly laughs and loves when someone falls? Or do you feel like embarrassed and terrible for them and it's awful? Okay. We have to have the caveat that I know the person is not injured in some way, okay? Well, the Zohran Mamdani pants are into, like, they're calling them death pants. These people are getting, like, scraped on their hands. I know. I know. I know. You know what I say, but that calm down. I mean, I think we all know death getting to scrape on your hand as you, as you brace yourself, isn't quite death. Let me put it this way. If it's a friend of mine. And they're okay. I'm chuckling. I am. Now, if let's say they're formally dressed and it's a big event.
And they're walking in the event. And then I'm like, oh, no, not this. Not now. I mean, come on. Have it when it's just me and her out for a happy hour or something like that. Not in front of a big crowd. That's more problem. You normally lead with your heart, but you also have a keen sense of humor. I'm going to say you have the ability to do both. And you certainly, more often than not, are going to feel bad, but you also are capable of laughing. Oh, I think these videos are hilarious, pretty honest. That's the way to answer it. That's the way to go. I think as someone who is clumsy, and especially, like, in my teen years was very clumsy. Like, I think about... Like, now I have the ability to laugh at myself and other people where it's not malicious, right? Like, as a teenager being clumsy and I was like the most mortifying, awful thing ever. So I think in some ways I find it funny because it's like, well, look how much I've been able to grow and laugh at myself. If... If you can't poke fun at yourself, then you need to start. Come on. Life is serious, and there are times we have to be serious and have to show our intellect. Sometimes we just screw up and make a fool of ourselves, and you've got to own it, admit it, and just chuckle. That's definitely the way to go. I mean, some of the quotes here in the story, The Deadly Zohran Mamdani Pants claim yet another victim. Another quote. They do really need a hazard warning. Here's another one. There should be a Netflix documentary about these pants. I'm a victim. Can I be interviewed for the documentary? Oh, my goodness. Dave Harrigan, it's someone you know. They're fine. It's not over form, but they fall right in front of your eyes. What's your move? laughing my butt off yeah you saw what we were doing yesterday before the show we had to explain to jamie the video that we watched you had already watched about five times before me i then watched it three times and laughed heartily each time. I was crying, laughing multiple times watching video of an older gentleman umpiring a youth baseball game who took a foul ball to the groin, not one, not two, but three times in the first four innings. And the last time you thought he died. And I don't think I've laughed harder in years. Okay, can I just say the thing that the video I'm laughing about, because it looks like a wily coyote, like cartoon, is that guy getting hit by the bison in yellowstone? Yes. And so it's flying into the air. Like, it looks cartoon. Like, what's happening? He also has, like, the greatest Christmas card ever.
I retweeted somebody came over like, was it Buffalo Ron or something, where it showed a bison in front of a bunch of microphones basically saying, my actions speak for me. I have no further comment. It was just, it was so funny. Can I say something, though, about senses of humor? Because I think this is really interesting. And my, Mike, Mike. that your audience may find interesting. I have found living in Los Angeles, people don't understand our Midwest sense of humor. Like, we are all laughing about this stuff. And I will have people be like, you are terrible. Like, where is your heart? How are you not upset by that? Like, and they're, they're being real. Like, I think they're not, you know, they're not trying to joke around that. Like, they don't understand sarcasm and they don't understand some of this, like, darker humor. Yeah, I think there's some of that. It can be also incredibly awkward if you're in that situation with somebody you don't know. Maybe it's a group of people and you know like two thirds of them, but you got the other third where you wonder if they have any sense of humor and they almost can get offended and you're like, lighten up, Francis, come on. We're just trying to have a little bit of fun here, you know? Well, I also find in our business, I don't know if this is true for you, Chad, but it's like we have to compartmentalize so much awful stuff all the time. But sometimes it's like I say things to kind of blow off like how horrible life can be. And I think people think I'm being serious. And it's like, no, I'm just kind of. lighten the mood a little bit here. Like, use humor to, like, you know, get through life. Yeah, deflect a little bit. Separate. There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. Great stuff. Loved it. Enjoy your day. We'll talk next week. I got to get back to the soccer. Yes. It's late in the first half. It's one zip. Spain leading. See you, Jamie. Spain leading one zip. We've added six minutes to the first half for about four minutes into it. The Olive Garden. is bringing back the $100 unlimited pasta pass. Okay? So Dave raised this question earlier in the day. If you were going to eat at one restaurant, there was a deal, and you were just going to eat and eat and eat at that restaurant. Where are you picking? We got to go to chain right here, don't we? Yes. Jane Apalooza. You got to go chain. I mean, yeah, sure. Maritosh, spoon and stable. Yeah, I love those places, but you can't pick that. It has to be some sort of chain. Where are you going? Because some might take a olive card. Very popular. Still, the one by my place is still rocking almost every night of a week. One by my place, it is not shy. pasta, the 5,000 breadsticks for a lot of people. So let's say this is the place for three months. Let's go this way. You're eating there every day for three months. And it's a chain. Where are you going? 651, 461, 9226. I hope if you go there, you can bring some Aquarius water, right? Aquariushomeservices.com.
License Connecticutco dealers. So yes, they have that phenomenal Connecticutico drinking water system that everybody should have, especially. With the heat we're dealing with. I'm texting back and forth with somebody saying, why is you complaining about summer like you do with winter? Because I'm more of a team summer guy. Again, would I rather have it? 85? Yeah. But of the extremes, for me, not close. 95 versus this is close to what? 15 below? Give me 95 every single time. Give me the cold water. Give me the fresh water. Give me the water that's tested when Aquarius Home Services comes to your home. Give me the water that removes almost all the contaminants when you have that Connecticut drinking water system. Right now in July, trade in your old water softener. Get 500 bucks off to get a new one from Aquarius. Acquarius homeservices.com. Remember, right now with just a few minutes left in the show. You have to eat at one restaurant, three straight months. It has to be chain. Which restaurant you're picking. 651, 461, 9226. Remind people the bumper music theme, as we'll update you on what's going on right now. It's not because I'm cheering for Team France. I'm team Espania all the way today. Take your baguettes. Get them back to Paris. The bag is already. But it is Bastille Day. And as Americans, our country, they were our first real friends in the world. Yeah? We'll celebrate with that. Be tough if they lose because they're trailing one zip. Half time. You can't lose on Bastille Day, and you're the best team in the world, right? Ah, used to be the best team in the world. Culvers. Where would Culver? A number of people saying Culvers. Where would that rank for you? Be reasonably high for me. It's a darn good restaurant. Darn good, absolutely. Zantigo. Do we still have Zantigos to the Mexican place a long time ago? I think there's still one near me, actually. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's still around. The lobster. Red lobster, where would you stand on that? That'd be a lot of cheddar bay biscuits. I mean, you can eat healthy at Red Lobster or you can go the other way. That's the nice option, too. Yeah, if you go to a, like, the next one is like Perkins. If you go to like a Red Lobster and a Perkins, you've got a few more choices than maybe you're going to like Pan Expresses on here. Yeah. Or culvers, right? You can go to Cheesecake Factory and literally get any kind of food you'd ever want. Yeah. And the menu is. 500 pages. Thank you for explaining the joke. Yeah, exactly. Thank you. I know that was really bad.
See, you can get everything because they got a big menu and it's got a lot of stuff on it. What you need to do is then have the guy who's more reading the text and paying attention than explaining it afterwards. Huh? Who are you, kid? He says, Murray's. Get out of here, Murray's. We're not counting Murray's. Murray's is fantastic, but that's not a chain. Ruth's Chris is. They're not bad. Yeah, if you could elevate. Yeah, Capitol Grill, something like that. Probably a separate category, not allowed. Chick-fil-A. You're an, ugh. I don't think it's an, ugh, but it's overrated. Outback or Texas Roadhouse. Devonis. You know what else? Don't forget lasagna, as the dark man used to say. Golden Corral. Do you want the big buffet? No, no, no. The buffets are pretty much gone now, aren't they? Yeah, you don't find an old country buffet anymore, man. Those are standard back in the day. Here's somebody gets it, Costco, and just have the chicken tortilla every day. Just every single day. All right, festivities about to come to a conclusion. We want to remind you that we podcast the show on a daily basis. Dave tries to make it very simple for you.
