Where is this life gone? But nine minutes after the hour on Thursday, July 16th, the year of our Lord, 26th, it would be hard not to have most of the day focus on the president's primetime speech. I don't know what all the president plans to cover. The bombing continued in Iran. The president held a situation room meeting, which is apparently concerning massive new strikes coming in Iran. So at a time of war, not to mention one of the conversations we're going to have with our economist, David Guy Benson, a little bit later on, is it's amazing how today's top stories. all shape tomorrow's financial forecasting. So we know that the inflation rate is at 3.5%, which is where the Fed wants it. So all things being the way they are right now, you probably could expect interest rates to just stay flat, the same. This year is shaping up to be a year of not many interest rate cuts, not nearly as many as expected. We need the interest rates cuts, just like we need the debt addressed, so inflation would go down so that we can address the housing crisis. The worst part of that scenario was that the inflation rates at 3.5%, which the good news is lowest in 20 years, the bad news is that was based on low energy, low oil prices, which are expected. either to rise if the president can't once and for all secure the strain of Hormuz and just war itself, active war itself can drive that up. It's a futures market. It's uncertain. It goes up. Now, if the president should be meeting in the situation room for some massive strikes that will once and for all open it up, that could correct itself. But oil is likely to go up. And therefore, the inflation rate is likely to go up with it. And when it does, there's only one way to fight inflation. And that's with higher interest rates, not the same and certainly not lower. So we'll talk with David Guy Benson a little bit about what all this news means for market futures. I'm certain a good bit of it is baked in, but not all of it. So we're going to want to talk about that.

The abandonment of Israel got to be responsible. I don't want to lead us into discussions that are hyperbole or designed in some way to provoke you. But you have to ask yourself, it's one of two things. It's this is all that's left in the Democrat Party. and therefore it's growing or it must be spiritual because there's no other explanation for it i don't know what i don't even know what the definition of liberal is anymore i don't know what the definition of progressive is anymore i do know the definition of socialist and islamist so i could see how a socialist might side with an enemy of the world and an enemy of america Because the destruction of America is a shared goal. I definitely understand why an Islamist would side with Islamists and terrorist groups and terrorist regimes. They have the same calling. But for Democrats in general to be anti-Israel, which is the only speck of freedom in the Middle East. The only proven ally over decades. What's left of a Judeo-Christian culture has more in common with Israel clearly than it does the Islamic world. And yet they're all turning on Israel. Is it just a posh wave politically? I don't think so.

I mean, maybe you can help me understand beyond spiritual what the explanation for this is. And if it's just war, what about the Ukrainian, Russian conflict. Nobody's turning on aid for Ukraine. And then John Fetterman, John Fetterman is interesting from this standpoint. I've done this for decades. There are those on the right that want to abandon public schools. All right. So you do it. It doesn't bring down public schools. They don't change their curriculum. They don't add back prayers. They don't add back books. So when you leave, that influence grows, right? Or how about the parents, the opposite of it? We're going to stay so that we can have an influence of protection. I want my kids there to fight the fight. Now, depending on the age, that's inappropriate. Devil's at the door and you're going to throw the kid in the room to fight.

And the indoctrination and socialization and the lack of education and preparation for higher education makes it a clear it should concern every parent to the point of, I guess I'll pay my taxes for the public school, make other sacrifices and pay for private school. That's kind of where John Fetterman is. If John Fetterman leaves. First of all, they're going to try to show him the door. So they're going to try to throw him out. But, you know, John Fetterman, of course, so fed up with the lack of support for Israel, he's ready to leave the party. It'd be interesting to see what Pennsylvania does with that. If John Fetterman leaves the Democrat Party runs as an independent, will he win? And will what's left of the Democrat Party in Pennsylvania unite to vote him out? But does it really change anything? Does it really explain anything? I mean, everyone ought to scratch their head this morning and go, what's what the death? I mean, it started with the eye problem, right? They couldn't verbally support Israel. And that was a problem in a presidential election cycle. Now they're at war with Israel. Well, they're a war with America. So whose side are they on would be the quick. The quick answer. In fairness to us, we did make a big deal out of the Democrat socialist unveiling their new platform and what was in it. I want to also acknowledge Fox did as well. And the concept can be so crazy and so dangerous that you almost. Don't take it serious and respond. And I fear that's more dangerous. You need to know what's in it. Their goal is to take over one of the two parties in this country. And they're almost there. After that, their goal is to change the electoral college, and after that, their goal is to dismantle this republic. So at what point you take them serious, how big do you want them to get before you begin to respond? Doesn't look very wise if you wait much longer. Here's Fox News, an attorney, breaking down this new platform that we covered for you a week or so ago. Listen. The document pitches an idyllic future under socialism. Quote, imagine taking a day off from work and a future without capitalism. You work as much as you are able and no more than needed, and you would control your own labor and see it going to good use. It's not just a job to pay the bills. Speaking of bills, you don't really have them anymore. You have no debt. You don't need health insurance. You don't pay a mortgage or have a landlord because comfortable housing. is a human right. Just because it isn't easy to imagine now doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make it.

Now, new policies in the platform include the abolition of the Senate, the elimination of checks and balances, with the president and the Supreme Court totally replaced, wiped away, and put in place a new executive and judiciary that are subordinate to and chosen by Congress. Also on the socialist wish list, open borders, free migration, Medicare for all, and into all deportations, the elimination of cash bail, universal rent control, a 32-hour work week, a wealth tax, and the Green New Deal. And Chris, you know, who would pay for all this? And because no one's serious would even put a pen to it to an ignorant? socialized, indoctrinated generation, they buy it. I mean, what kid wouldn't say? You don't have to clean your room anymore. You don't have to earn your allowance anymore. You have a right to this home. In fact, you can kick me out of this home, I guess. How does housing for all work? You see it for sale sign and you just walk in and start living? How are you buying it? How are you paying for it?

Swinging, swing precincts of swing districts in swing states and stealing the presidency. That all still happened. No matter what China did. I mean, who was the woman that promised us the Cracken? Is he going to dig her? Is she going to be standing behind him tonight? Release the Cracken now! It's six years later. Release the Cracken! Michael, wouldn't it come as a shock to you if China didn't interfere? That would be a news conference. We just had an election in China didn't try to interfere. Oh, let me get this straight. And uncertainty is the number one enemy of the economy and certainly the market. Boy, you better have a big bombshell. And never mind my hopes were that the president once and for all was going to decide, is this a 49-year-old problem, an enemy of America, or a 1,400-year problem enemy of the world. and identify this enemy, explain this threat, explain what he's doing, explain the plan, and explain the ultimate endgame. I don't think anything that's going to happen. Now, what we know is part of President Trump's speech Thursday night is expected to touch on previously unreported alleged Chinese meddling in the U.S. elections. One component, allegations that Beijing compromised U.S. voter data and evidence the CIA knew about the action and didn't share that information with Trump during his first term. I don't think anybody's going to care. Not as much as they care about the economy. The audience for the primetime speech is expected to include members of the president's cabin. Among those invited, CIA, FBI, Office of Director of National Intelligence, Homeland Security. Mr. Trump announced the prime time address earlier this week and has disclosed few details on his contents, though he has hinted it will focus on elections. At best, this will be a Matrix event. At worse, you're talking about the wrong thing at the wrong time. Translation in the courtroom of public opinion at 44 minutes after the hour. An amendment to a State Department funding bill introduced by Republican Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie would have slashed aid for Israel by $3.3.3 billion. It failed 314 to 104, but left the Democratic Party strongly divided after anger over Israel's conduct in its war with Gaza. Only 37 Democrats voted for a similar measure two years ago.
