Can you believe it? Have you heard this before? Because I don't think I've ever heard this before. In fact, Donald Trump saying yesterday an agreement could come as soon as this weekend with the United States in Iran and the ceasefire and ending everything. First, the job I apply for says they'll keep my information on file. And now Donald Trump says we're getting close to the end. I'll be damn. I'd like to place a bed on, what is it, Polly Market? You know, where you could. Right. Like, can you really, do we really expect everything to end this weekend? Nair writer. What are the odds? No. How many times does Lucy have to put the football down for Charlie Brown to kick it and take it away before we stop trying to kick the football? Like that's where we're at right now, right? How many times have we heard, oh, it could be any moment. Deal is imminent. It could be today, could be this weekend, get ready. Everybody's going to hold hands and sing kumbaya. And then it doesn't happen. I mean, I hope it does. I hope it does, but it's just, are you saying Charlie Brown is Donald Trump here in this situation? That's pretty heavy. No, Donald Trump is Lucy.
Donald Trump keeps putting the football down telling us it's okay for you to kick it. And we're looking. And takes it away. We're Charlie Brown. We try to go kick the football, i.e. buy into the peace deal. And the football gets taken away and we fall on our ass. Oh, man. Okay. I got it. Here is the president of the United States, Lucy. The negotiation itself has gone very well, actually. Very well. Mr. President, if it happens, and it might not happen, you know. But if it happens, it could happen like over the weekend. If we can get something down in writing, which will accomplish the same thing without killing everybody, I'd like to do that. If I could just get a signature, then I won't have to kill 90 million people. I won't have to start bombing the crap out of Iran. If I can just get a couple signatures on a piece of paper, we can avoid all that. So the options here are peace deal by the weekend. We have to start killing everyone again. Those are the options that have been presented to us from President Donald Trump. Like, I'm okay with that. That's okay. But if you want me to get excited for the possibilities of a peace deal, I'm not going to do it. Like, we're the dude in the friend zone right now. You can't keep leading me on and then not giving me the poon and expecting me to stick around. I'm out. I'm out. Now, Trey Yinks, who covers all things Middle East for Fox News. He jumped on the air today with the latest on rumored beef, rumored bad blood between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. This was stemming from that report that Trump got pretty angry with him on the phone and dropped a few F bombs. President Trump called Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu effing crazy. And that was because these two world leaders have a different path forward, a different vision on what should come next. Broadly speaking, President Trump is looking to end the war in the aftermath of the success of Operation Epic Fury that decimated the Iranian military and, of course, the country's Navy. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu... according to reports, would like to continue the operation. And so they still have a very respectful relationship based on the conversations we've had with both U.S. and Israeli officials, but oftentimes they may disagree on the path forward about how to obtain some of the broader regional goals that both of these leaders have. There's been a lot of success, though, on the issue of Israel and Lebanon, and President Trump has indicated he would like to see these two issues separated. And so the negotiations with Iran are one issue, and then this... broader effort toward a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, another. Do you think it's a respectful relationship with Donald Trump right before he gets on Marine One turns around talking about Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu and tells a reporter? They do now!
What if they're doing? It turns around and storms off. I think so. I think people can have respectful relationships and drop F bombs around each other. Like you and I talk all the time. Sure. You know, we sometimes the language gets a little salty. Bust each other's chops. There's some F bombs in there, but nothing too. Exactly. Nothing too crazy. Now, we played a sound bite from President Trump earlier. That was before he started taking questions from everybody in the room. Yeah. One of the questions came from Kaitlan Collins, who's a reporter for CNN. Now, President Trump's always had a little issue with the fine folks from the cable news network, CNN. Here is Donald Trump ripping on Kaitlan Collins and her bosses. CNN's a very corrupt organization, but with a corrupt reporter standing right there, never smiles. She never sees a young, beautiful woman, never see a smile over her face. I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes. She has hatred because we have borders, because we have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted. And then we win our election in a massive landslide. We win 87% of the... counties in this country. Nobody's ever heard of a thing like that. And that's because we're doing the right job. And we took a detour down to Iran because we can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon under any circumstances. We can't let that happen. So the reporter should be happy. They shouldn't be unhappy. They should be very happy. Because you know what we're doing? We're saving our country. Man, I love it. He just. dismantles her and she sets her jaw and she has to just, you know, just that look on her face because she knows it's true. Well, she did get a chance to clap back against President Trump and ask a question of her own. Let's see if Donald Trump showed any personal growth or maybe realized he was being too harsh. Let's see how this plays out. Mr. President, just to clarify on what you were asked earlier, is the $1.8 billion DOJ fund dead or is it on hold? It's, I'd have to ask the lawyers. I don't know. I know one thing, the weaponization. Are you talking about the weaponization fund? Yeah, what's your decision? The weaponization fund, as far as I'm concerned, it was a beautiful thing. It was something I didn't make it, but I was, I heard that. I thought that was the greatest thing because people like you have abused our people so badly. the fake news like CNN, like the New York Times and like others, have abused our people. Wait a minute, be quiet. Have abused our people so badly. And you should be ashamed of yourself. You used to be a conservative. She was a conservative from Alabama. Can you believe it? She was? But CNN, in particular, CNN does such false reporting. But now they have new ownership, so maybe it'll straighten it out. I doubt it. But it's hard to straighten garbage out.
I love how he goes back at these people. I mean, they spent a lifetime trying to put him in jail perpetuating narratives like Russian collusion, the dossier. Right. Even the laptop, Hunter's laptop, impeachment. And he's not going to take it anymore. He doesn't care. I mean, he's not coming back for a third term. I mean, we all joke about it, but he ain't coming back. So get used to it. And that's why he resonates with so many people. For so long, wishy-washy, Bush-like Republicans would just take that crap from the media. Oh, yeah. He's a counterpuncher, and that resonates with so many people. The national media for so long knew. They just knew they could boss around any Republican they want, take their lunch money, say what they want in the press, and nothing would happen. Then here comes a guy that... Isn't even really a Republican. He runs as a Republican, but he pushes back. He's a counterpuncher and that drives them nuts. That's why they want to impeach him. That's why they want to lock him up. They can't control him. And the media knows that Donald Trump doesn't need them. He's got his own social media. Like, for a while, his tweets were more red than anything that CNN would ever do. And now it's truth social, but still Twitter finds the truth posts and put them out there. That's what drives people nuts about Trump. They can't control him, and he knows that. My name is Nigel. Jason Hammer right over there. We'll go straight to the hotline and bring on Bright Bar News Sports Editor Dylan, Gwen. Dylan, thank you for coming on on this Breaking News Friday. Huge news. The Bears are moving their stadium project from Chicago to Hammond, Indiana. Big picture. What happened here? What does this mean? What do you think? I think it's an incredible historic move. Obviously, my first reaction, I'll be honest with you guys, when I saw this, it brought me back to Talladega Knights. You know, when Will Ferrell and his wife are explaining to the kids that are getting divorced and the kids jump up and say, oh, two Christmases. You know, and here you have the Bears and the state of Illinois getting divorced, and people in Indiana can jump up and say, okay, two football teams. All right. It's historic, guys. It's probably not a great day if you're on the other side of the border there in Illinois. If you're a fan of the Chicago Bears, but for Indiana, I think this is a... It's a tremendous boom. It's going to bring, I think a lot of economy is going to bring a lot of money to that area, jobs, so on and so forth. I think it's a very good, very good deal. I'm really surprised that it even happened, though. I've got to be honest with you. Because right now, you know, yeah, if you watch the reaction to this from the mayor of Chicago, Mayor Johnson.
And you watch J.B. Pritzker, they're all that, oh, we're not going to give up anymore, you know, no taxpayer funds for these billion-dollar stadiums that are going to be owned by billionaires. And, you know, they're setting themselves up there as, you know, the champion of the little guy here for preventing people from getting fleeced by these giant billionaire NFL owners. But that's not really what happened here. The bears were always inclined to stay. in their ancestral homeland of Chicago. I mean, I think they wanted to the entire time. What the Bears were asking for here was not necessarily tons of public funds to build the stadium in Arlington Heights. What the Bears were asking for primarily was taxed. certainty, not, not, you know, funds. They wanted to know what the tax rates were going to be for the foreseeable future. They wanted to know that it wouldn't fluctuate. They wanted to, they wanted to be able to plan, you know, for the long term with the stadium build. And there was a vote in the Illinois Senate that failed recently. They called it the mega something. I forget what it was called. Yeah. It was a vote to provide, you know, funds for these kind of stadiums, and they scrapped that, and they came up with a supplementary bill, a last-ditch effort, you know, to provide some tax certainty for the near future, and they couldn't even pass that. So while politicians in Illinois are going to thump their chest and they're going to say they're protecting the little guy, what this really came down to was that the Indiana... legislature was able to provide some certainty on the taxes. They were, hey, this is what you're going to be paying. This is what it's going to be for the foreseeable future. They were able to give the bears a firm foundation to start from and plan from. And that's really what cinched the deal. Like even if the bears had stayed in Chicago, they would have put up $2 billion. for the stadium project was actually a lot of money. The Bears, I mean, you look at what Tennessee put up for their stadium. The Bears are putting up a lot more of their own money for this stadium project. So, yes, it was a little bit about public funds, but mostly it was about public certainty. Indiana gave them the certainty. Illinois did not. And now you have the... Hammond Bears of Chicago. That's right. That's right. Jason Hammer here. And so if you live in Indiana, there's a good chance. One of your friends or family members is an obnoxious Bears fan, right? So I've got friends that live in Chicago. I texted my buddy today, DJ, huge Bears fan. His response was this. We're not mad about it. We avoided a bad deal that would F over the taxpayers. It's literally a better drive for us to get to Hammond at Arlington Heights. It's super easy for us to get there and we didn't have to pay for it. You're on the hook. What's your response to my buddy's message that lives in Chicago?
I think you should text your buddy the letter is C-O-P-E, because that's what that sounds. He's coping. That sounds like a little bit of cope for me. I mean, look, I mean, is there an element of truth to that? Could the tax situation in Illinois have gotten even worse than it already is? I guess so. I mean, I'm sure they don't want to see their taxes go up, but at the end of the day, what this was really about was the rates and getting tax certainty. That's what the issue was. And really, there's no reason that I can see why Illinois shouldn't have been able to do that for the bears. The issue here is that you have a radical liberal governor in Illinois and an ultra-radical liberal mayor. in Chicago who are incredibly anti-capitalist and anti-wealth, and they don't want to be seen by their radical base as being, you know, the caretakers and providers of billionaires and doing corporate welfare. And that's really the root cause of all of this, I believe. And it's just, it's really bad for the fans. I mean, I mean, if you've been a Chicago Bears fan, but I grew up a Washington Redskins fan. I'm used to seeing my team play in a state other than where I live. All right, that's been the reality for us for a very, very long time. But if you grew up a Chicago Bears fan, you grew up with the Bears in Chicago. They were nowhere else. They were synonymous with the city, just, you know, quintessentially a part of the city. And now that's gone. And the chances of that coming back are extremely small. So, I mean, I'm not saying there's no truth to your friend's message and all that. But at the end of the day, with all the garbage you're dealing with in the state of Illinois, is it really worth, you know, I don't know. Is it really worth not paying a little extra to hold on to your football team that's been there forever? I don't think so. I think there's a lot of fans out there that wanted to do whatever it took. for them to stay. Breitbart Sports Editor Dylan Gwyn here on the Hammer and Nigel show. Let's pivot here last night. The fever beat Angel Reese and Atlanta. I'm wondering if you saw a couple nights ago. Caitlin Clark and head coach of the fever, Stephanie White get into it. In fact, Stephanie White yanked Caitlin out and put a sub in because they were arguing. Last night, not so much. Caitlin had a decent game. Her and the head coach were high-fiving and chest bumping and hugging. stuff, so it seemed to be all la-di-da last night. Big picture, what did you see? What have you seen from the fever this year so far? I was actually really happy when she pulled Caitlin Clark out of the game. I got to be honest with you guys. Listen, NBA players, WNBA players, just basketball players in general can be coach killers.
Michael Jim Jordan got coaches fired. Magic Johnson got coaches fired. LeBron James has certainly gotten coaches fired. You know, it's a very unique dynamic that you find in basketball. Apparently, it's the same on the women's side that it is on the men's side. I was happy to see Coach White exert some authority there. Look, I love Caitlin Clark. She's incredibly talented, but she talks a lot of smack. I mean, if you guys notice, I mean, you guys see it closer than anybody. You know, she is constantly in the face of the officials and the face of the opponents of the other teams, sometimes teammates on her own squad. And in this case, you know, arguing back. back and forth with a coach. And listen, everybody, people get in arguments with their coaches. That's why I understand that happens. But when you start getting into the realm of hand waving and throwing their hands up in the air and screaming and it becomes a viral spectacle that gets retweeted on social media, you've got to know when to cut it off. And Caitlin Clark does not have that off switch yet. And I'm hoping the product of that little incident is that she finally is starting to realize that she can't be flying off the handle like that in a way that makes, you know, a viral event between her and her coach. She's a great player, but at the end of the day, the team is what, five and four right now? Right. They're ranked seven. You know, I mean, as great as Caitlin Clark is, she was only okay last night. She wasn't great. Kelsey Mitchell really carried the team last night. Angel Reese, I actually thought played pretty well, even though it was in a losing effort. But as great as Caitlin Clark is, one thing that she needs to get on the inside here is that she still hasn't won anything yet. And she needs to, you know, understand, be forceful, you're a star, you can talk back a little bit, but learn to rein it in. Because what she did with Coach White a few days ago was, I thought, way, way. out of line. And I'm glad she got pulled, and I hope she learns from it. Dylan, what are you working on currently as the sports editor of Breitbart? Brightbart.com? Well, I mean, we're big into the Bears move. I obviously talked about that. I got World Cup right around the corner. I don't know if you guys saw it the other day, but the FIFA has actually banned the bringing in of water bottles. Jeez. Wow. So for your $3,000 ticket, you get to sit in 107 degree heat with a non-refillable water bottle. How about that for you? Wow. Brightbar News, sports editor, Dylan, Gwynne, find his work at brightbart.com. Dylan, have a great weekend, and we'll talk to you soon. What is Toyota affordability?
It's buying smart. Your local Toyota dealer has great deals available today on RAV-4, Grand Highlander, Camry, and Corolla, with the features and style you deserve. Are you okay? Everything's going to be okay. Are you okay? Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine. I'm pretty fucking far from okay. Are you okay with this? On the Hammer and Idol. Oh, yeah! The Hammer Police are investigating videos of guys emerging from manholes. E! Lookout! In New York City. Guys, I'm just reading this verbatim off the page. Guys emerging from manholes. Is this a James Talarico story? That's in Texas. Oh, okay. This is in New York City. Now, in the past, people have been caught down in the sewers, you know, being scavengers. like for valuables and stuff, kind of like Batman or something. Here is a retired police officer. Hold on. I don't think I ever remember the Batman episode where he was down there looking for somebody dropped a five. Was it Bain? Didn't Bain go down there and live in the sewers there for a little while? What the hell are you doing down there, Bruce Wayne? You're a billionaire. Somebody dropped a five. Somebody. I saw a $10 bill on Batman. Here's a retired police officer talking about the people in the videos emerging from the manholes. We need to know who they were, what they were up to. It's dangerous. It's the same as J-walking. We're walking down the middle of a highway. They could be electrocuted. They could be overcome. There's gas lines down there. There's electrical lines down there. Are you okay with guys emerging from manholes? Well, it is Pride Month. Yes, absolutely. It's the joke that keeps on giving, right? I will always laugh when I see the word manhole in a story. Just like I'll always laugh when I go to Subway and they squirt something on your sandwich and it sounds like a fart, I'll always laugh. I will always laugh when I see a sign that says, now hiring all shifts. But the F falls off and it says now hiring all. You know, that word without the F. I got it. Always laugh at it. There was a story, I think it was out of New York last year where some sort of gas explosion was happening and you had flaming manholes. I'll laugh at a headline when I see flaming manholes every single time. Am I 13 years old? Yes, I am. But do I find it funny? You bet you're flaming manhole. There is a bar in Chicago. I don't know this for sure. I've only heard rumors. It was called the manhole with a, it had a big neon arrow pointing around back and said entrance in rear. Right? Now, that's clever. Embrace that level of play on words. That's clever. The Uranus Fudge factory that's up north.
Like here in Indiana. What? Yes, that's the name of it. You know what I'm talking about, right? Allison. Yeah, in Anderson. Yeah, in Anderson, the Uranus Fudge. Uranus Fudge. They embrace all the, you've got to own it. Okay. Got to own it. Superstar Hottie, Sidney, Sweeney insisted on doing nude scenes in her show, Euphoria. She insisted it. Are you okay with this? Explain who Sidney Sweeney is and you've been watching Euphoria lately, have you, right? So much like the trend that we have in the Hammer House, I start binge watching shows well after everybody else has. So we just started season one of Euphoria. You know how old it is? I think it's like 2017. Oh, wow. Okay. And they just wrapped up the final season of it. It's the series finale. But Sidney Sweeney is the star. Now, she is a very well-assembled, large-chested, beautiful woman. Sure. She is the jeans girl. You know, she's got good genes that everybody lost their minds over. Oh, that's right. Yeah. She's an actress. She's been in a couple of other things, but she's probably the it girl. right now. Like at one point, it was probably Cindy Crawford. At another point, it was probably Kate Upton. Now it's Sidney Sweeney. Yep. She's the new bombshell hot chick. So in the season that just wrapped up, she plays the role of an only fans model that makes money doing only fan stuff, humiliating herself on only fans, but she made a lot of money. That's the storyline. The director, Sam Levinson, was like, you know what? Maybe we can be creative and do camera shots where it applies that you're naked or you're topless, but we won't have to do it. And Sidney was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Oh, she wanted to show them puppies off. She did. And for that reason, we need some mood music. Nodge every once in a while. A hero comes into our lives. It doesn't have to be somebody wearing a cape. It doesn't have to be somebody wearing a badge at all. It could be a very large, breasted, blonde woman cast in a TV show as an only fan's influencer who tells a very successful show creator and director, if we're going to do this, we're going to do it right. I'm going to take these big old things out, and I'm going to jump up and down. I'm going to black my eyes, and everybody's going to enjoy it. And people will share these images on social media, post after post, week after week. You can thank me later. Turn it up, Allison. That's what heroes do, Nigel. Can you send me some screenshots when you get home tonight, Hammer? Oh, I've got them saved on my phone. Okay, yeah, just forward those to me right now, if you wouldn't mind. Deal, but yes, thank you, Sidney, not all heroes wear capes. One more here. This is hilarious. This teenager named Bubba has gone viral. So he's on video, right? He tasted a jar of Kool-Aid-infused pineapple spears.
And it's the way he says, dat be tough after taking a sip of the Kool-Aid. Then he unwraps a plastic fork and says, dat be-gah. Okay, I'm going to need a white guy translator. No, no, no, no, I will. after chomping on one of the pineapple slices. Okay? So this is all over the place. I've seen it a million times. And we have the audio here. But da bit tough equals that B-I-T-C-H. Rhymes with which. Rhymes with which. That which is tough. And dat big-a. That witch is gas. Oh, now gas is good in this case, right? Gas is good. So here's the moment. And then someone is interviewing this guy that's gone viral afterwards about the way his accent and the way he speaks. Oh, yeah. Appreciate you, buddy. Yes, sir. Today we came to pull up. First question, I want to know, was it really tough and gas? Yeah, it was most definitely tough. And how you feel about blowing up? It's good, it's good. And I got a whole bunch of things. If you would be in the comments, Sam, you would fake your voices, is that true? Nah, that's real how I thought. Real? Real. You from Florida as stuff? No, I'm willing to. And what made you start talking like that? I don't know. Just how I grew up. So play it again real quick. Just play the beginning, where he says, dabit tough, dabiga.
Are you okay with what you've heard here and what's gone viral across the globe hammer? I guess. I mean... I have no problem with it because he might as well have been speaking like French or Swahili. I have no idea. He said it like a like a mumble rapper. Yes. The mumble rappers. Correct. Like which is a popular trend. But let's go back to gas being good. So you were the translator for this nige. That which is gas, meaning that product is something I enjoy. Is that the proper takeaway here? I believe so. Yes. This couldn't have been a wider segment, I believe. Oh, I know. If gas is good, then Crystal Hammer has to be the happiest woman in God's greener. There it is. Hi. You're listening to the Hammer and Nigel show. Hello, my name is Nigel. Jason Hammer right over there with a very special guest on the hotline. This dude has been funny for a long-ass time and he's coming to Indy, June 27th at the Old National Center. Bill Engval joins us. Bill, how the heck are you? I'm good, guys. How are you doing? Man, we're doing good. I was telling my co-host, Nigel, here during the commercial break, you're kind of like the Dosecchi's guy of comedy. You're the most interesting man. Like 40 plus years of like stand-up shows, selling out arenas. You've done dancing with the stars. You've done TV shows. And... I believe there are some parts of the internet that view you positive in the Bigfoot sighting community. Like, that's a pretty interesting rundown bill. Yeah, you know, the old saying, if you throw enough stuff against the wall, something's got to stick. Yeah. But, you know, thank you for that, by the way. It was very nice of you. It has been an amazing career. To be honest with you, when I started this, I thought this thing will last about a year, and then I'm going to have to go find a real job. But it just kept rolling. And I have such a great time, especially like they're in indie. I go all the way back to the Crackers Comedy Club days back then. And so now to be performing again, it's... It's a real treat for me. And I'm really enjoying the show now. I kind of tried to retire because, like I said, I've been doing this for four decades. And then one day I caught myself sitting in my den on my chair watching Salt Lake City Housewives, and I knew their name. Yep. That's how you know it's time to get up. That's right. And I knew I had to get back out on the road.
That will do it. And man, I'll tell you what, like Indy has changed like over the last five years. I'm sure you've probably seen this when you've been out on the road. You know, five years ago, everybody was wanting to cancel comedians and it was the cancel culture. Five years ago, Indiana University was a basketball school. Fast forward five years. I use the national football champion. And it feels like the crowds are ready to just have a good time again. Are you seeing that? Yes, I am. And nobody's happier than me to see that change. You know, comedy's cyclical. And now we're back on the upswing, which I think is great. And yeah, I got to tell you something. I have no connection to Indiana football. But buddy, I watched every minute of every game that they put on TV. That guy is... He's amazing to me. I wouldn't, I don't know. Signity. I love to see him smile once. That would be nice. But whatever he, whatever secret sauce he found, man, that was, that was amazing. Even my wife's like, why are you watching Indiana football? I go, this is like history being made right now. And it turned to it. And thank God, it ended. You know, I always say when I see a story, it's a great story. And in the ending, you go, oh, damn. Right. This story ended the way it ended the way it's supposed to hear. Bill Eggroll, old national. Center on June 27th, a longtime comedian, the first time you heard the words blue collar comedy tour. I mean, the chemistry between you and Foxworthy and Ron White and Larry the cable guy was, it worked so well. But do you remember the first time you heard about this idea and your initial reactions to that idea, the first times you heard the words blue collar comedy tour? Well, I will tell you this, and I say this for all honesty, I had a feeling it was going to work even before we set foot on stage for the first time. Just because, you know, guys like Foxworthy and Ron and Larry, you were getting four headliners for the price of one, you know, and I always laugh at and tell people that I go, the one thing about that tour that nobody knows was you had to show up every night with your A game because if you didn't, you were going to get buried. between Ron and Larry. We were like four brothers. And if you can imagine being out on the road with your best buds and you're selling out arenas and, you know, they're throwing stupid money at you. Hey, nobody's going to go, I think I'm, I think I'll pass on that. Right, right, right. No, that sounds amazing. This is what. This is what's funny about that. When we were at our peak, I'm going to say, you know how Hollywood lists A-listers, B-listers, C-listers. We were a high, B-low A. I mean, we could walk into, I walked into restaurants and there'd be people, I made it eagle and, ah, Mr. Inval, we have your table ready. Or sure, we can get your reservation. And I'm going to tell you something, that did not suck at all. No. No.
So then, so we ended the tour, and I did a couple more years, and then I decided to retire. And all of a sudden, my celebrity recognition, quote, went way down. Welcome to America. They'll forget about you in a couple weeks. We, Hamer and I both know it as well. Well, that was what was funny was, and that's when they got to hit home to me. I had to get back out on the road. I was going through Dallas, Fort Worth Airport, and I hadn't had anything to eat all day long. And so I went to one of these little chicken shack places. And I said, there was an older woman and a younger girl working the counter. And I walked up and the older woman said, oh, my God, I can't believe it's you. I can't believe you're standing right in front of me. And I go, hey, how are you doing? She turned to the young girl. And she goes, do you know who this is? And the girl goes, no, I'm sorry, I don't. And the lady goes, yes, you do. He was on the blue collar tour. He was on the Bill Invol show. He had Jeff Foxworthy show. He did Tim Allen show. And the girl's like, I don't really watch TV. And I'm like, it's okay. Can I just get a sandwich, please? And she goes, I can't believe you don't know who this guy is. We're not letting him go. Do you know who he is? Now a line has started to form behind me. And I'm just trying to get a chicken sandwich. And this lady will not let it go. And finally, somebody in the line behind me said, who is it? And I heard the guy behind me go, I think it's Jeff Foxworthy.
You should have shouted out, here's your sign. There it is. Give them what they want. Last thing here, Bill, before we let you go, we want to be respectful of your time. I've heard a lot of comedians, you know, basically talk about these roasts that are taking place. There was the roast of Tom Brady. There was a roast of Kevin Hart. Some comedians said there's a line. Like, Chelsea Handler got her feelings hurt at a roast. Now, your show was predominantly clean. It's not like you're performing blue material, but like if you get invited to a roast, are there any rules of engagement there? Is like everything on the table? I think if you're willing to say, yeah, I'll be, I guess that would make them the roastee, if you agree to that, you better have a thick skin because they're not going to lighten up on you. And so, you know, you got to, as they all say, know, know your audience. And it's. You know, if I said, hey, Bill, we want to roast you. First off, I would say, yeah, I'm going to pass on that. But, you know, like when we roasted Foxworthy, it was like, that was one of the, like, they had the, they had the roast in New York City. Why wouldn't you have it in Atlanta where he's from and get people that know? So. I think the idea of the roast was a good idea, and I don't mean to sound like a prude here, but it just turned into what I saw as who could be the dirtiest. And to me, that's not that funny. You know, once in a while, it's funny. But when you've got an hour of roasting, it's all body functions and who, you know, it's like, that's not roasting, you know, that's, so I would just avoid it. Check out the show. June 27th, Old National Center. You can get your tickets now. Just an awesome night of comedy. You will belly laugh. Bill Engval.
