I haven't even told the people I work with yet, but I will tell them. Now, I went to the doctors yesterday, and I got some information that I don't think I was prepared for. And unfortunately, I have allergies. I know. Did you guys know that? Daggummit, Dale. Could anyone have figured it out? I have allergies. And I've only had them for 10 years. I've had it my whole life, actually. But the shots are working overall, and I get to continue getting them. So, again, I, uh, Emily, what the world? Did you think something was seriously wrong that I hadn't told you about? I was going to wait until right now. You do that where you wait until we get on the air and be like, here's some devastating, life-changing, mind-altering news that I should have told you at a break, but I'm going to tell you on the air. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I should have been like, you know, I went to the doctor the day and I have allergies.

But there is some big news. And it's this. I'm going to have to hire a mate. Cindy's going back to work. It's unfortunate. Thank you very much to all of you for paying her for the last 43 days. The house has never been cleaner. Dinner's never been better. Grant's never been more well-behaved. And I appreciate you guys doing that for me. It's very nice. It's very nice. And she appreciates it as well. You guys should have made her go back to work. I'm just telling you that right now. You should have made her go back to work. But instead, you guys let her sit at home and watch a thousand episodes of the office. I want to know this. How many episodes of the office were streamed in the last 43 days versus the 43 days prior? I really want to know the answer to that. Because I am convinced all of these office drone federal employees that are on their way back to work right now. And they all had to go back today. I was wrong. I thought the federal government would be like, you guys come back in like two days. I got to give you some time. They gave them four hours notice. They said you had four hours notice before you would know you have to go back to work. And I had two federal government employees. This is a real story, by the way. I'm tell you the absolute truth. I got to my house yesterday after work, and after I went to the gym, and I got there, and I walked in my house, and there's two federal government employees sitting on the couch inside my house watching the office. And I said, you guys ready to go back to work? And they're like, yeah, but I really think we shouldn't have to go back until Monday. And I'm like, yeah, I know you guys think that. Of course you think you don't have to go back till Monday. I'm not ready to go back. And they said that. Okay. All right. Well, they're on their way back, which means they're in the audience. And we are thrilled to have you. There is some stuff about the Epstein files out there. I truly believe me having allergies is more newsworthy than that. Honestly, if you know what actually happened yesterday and not the Kairons on MSNBC and CNN that says Trump linked to the Epstein files. One, the big banger email has already been out for years. Just keep that in mind. Two, they released three emails. Three. The whole big bash that they're talking about is three emails. Okay, why didn't they release more? There's barely 23,000 emails or something out there. Why didn't they release all of that? Why? I mean, you know why. Let's not be stupid. We all know why they did it the way they did it. And even the, so out of all the stuff they released, just I'll lay it out here real quick and then we'll talk more in depth on the other side. Out of all the stuff they released, there were three emails they released today.

Or yesterday. In those emails, they reference a victim whose name they redact. But everyone knows what it is because we've already seen this email. And in that, that person is the person who is gone on record by saying Donald Trump didn't do anything. So they redacted the name to imply that there was some nefarious bad stuff happening when the full story once again is vindication. It's absurd. And the media just went with it. So this isn't over. We're going to see more dumb nonsense like this. Look, I want to just remind you that the core tenant of Democrat governance and campaigning is saying things that they do not even remotely believe. Okay, everything they do is predicated on the fact that they're lying to you. They kind of know you know they're lying to you, but they're going to lie to you anyway because what are they going to do? Tell you the truth about what they want? I mean, are they going to actually lay that out to you? No. That's why every time a Democrat campaigns, their message is completely different than how they've lived their life. Their message is completely different than how they've governed before. They have to pretend to be someone else. So why Gavin Newsom goes and talks to Charlie Kirk and one day he says, oh my God, my son wanted to come see you. And then after Charlie Kirk gets shot in the neck, Gavin Newsom says, Charlie Kirk, who? My son doesn't even like him. They're just lying about everything. And this Epstein thing is no different. Again, it's more newsworthy that my allergies remain after years of shots. The shots are not supposed to solve the allergies. They can. The shots are supposed to suppress the symptoms, which they do. Democrats need to get like a shot that stops them from lying. Apparently, if you look at John Fetterman, it's a stroke. That kind of keeps them from lying. It removes their ability to lie. So I'm not saying I wish a stroke on anyone. That's not really the point. I'm just saying John Fetterman is like the most truthful Democrat, and I think it's because he lost his ability to lie. What was explained to me was that the person, whoever got into my stuff just went and whatever loaded on whatever device they got into it on, they just went like control V'd stuff and things like that. Like contacts. I guess my text didn't load because when it asked for permission to load, it would normally ask for permission to load or something. I don't know this for sure. I'm just telling you what I was told. And they didn't have like any of that. Well, when those text messages I guess started to load, that's when they started sending nasty messages to random people I was in the middle of having conversations with. Well, just we didn't get any. And we, and I mean, I know you talk to a lot of people all the time all day long, but we have, we have an active show thread and there were no crypto requests there. Strange, very wild. I told our boss and he's like, are you sure you just didn't get drunk and do it at the middle of the night yourself? That's what he said to me. He just became a scammer? Yeah, I was like, I told him, I said, John. I said, that would make a lot of sense. And I almost wish it was true if it didn't happen at 1.30 in the. afternoon. Okay, that's when all this went down. A couple things to correct on the record here real quick before we jump in with our good friend Matt Curtis, the Matt Curtis Real estate team. One, I'm joking. I probably shouldn't be so flippant about drug use. I'm kidding. I've never done cocaine. I would not do cocaine. I have not done cocaine this morning. Everyone's just joking. Ha ha ha ha. It's a joke. Welcome back, everybody on your way back to work. Secondly, it's 36 degrees, not 63 degrees. So I don't know why Emily said that other than she might be on drugs. Okay, that, that might be it. Bugsie, is that a fair way to handle that? Is that good? Good? Yeah, probably. Got it. Okay, excellent. Let's bring Matt Curtis on the line here. Some of you might think that the federal government's on drugs. What are they doing? They're talking about 50-year mortgages. I got to tell you. You know, I think that's as crazy as Emily getting the weather wrong personally. So let's talk to Matt Curtis about that. 50-year mortgage, Matt. It's supposed to juice the market up. The government may be shut down. Well, it's not anymore. You never did shut down. You like the idea of 50-year mortgages? What I like about it is that they're talking about affordability, because we have affordability crisis in this country. You know, the average first-time homeowner was 28, 29, just, you know, a couple decades ago. Now we're pushing 40 years old. So I do like that we're looking at privatizing Fannie Mae and all the other creative options. I don't know that 50-year mortgage is going to get passed. You know, if you could get the same interest rates as a 30, it might make sense. It's going to increase affordability by about 12% if that happens. What I would like about that is you're going to have a wave of first-time homebuyers to be able to afford a home. You know, you have 7% going to 6% that increases affordability, the increase affordability this way, that'll be good. You know, the challenge is going to be for these first-time homebuyers if they do use a 50-year mortgage. They may need to plan on staying at home a little bit longer. Exactly right. I agree with that. I think that's the issue. You know, when you buy a house, you know, your interest payment kind of. declines, the amount of interest you're paying over time, declines over 50 years. That slope is so long that you're there. And traditionally, property values increase and blah, blah. You'd be ahead at the end of the curve, better than renting. Sure, you get a little equity in it and all that other stuff. I agree with everything there. But I did the math. Oh, like a $300,000 loan, you stretch it over 50 instead of 30 years. You're shaving off $200 off your payment. I don't know if that's really something that puts you. over the cusp. I think the thing that's more interesting. And I may be stupid here. I may actually have this with the VA. I'm not sure the VA does this. I need to look at it. But the portability of the rate. And I'll just give you a perfect example, Matt. You know this. You've bought and sold homes for me multiple times. But when I bought my house, my current house, I used my VA loan and the rates were really low. I have a 2.5% interest rate. Now, Cindy and I are done with our life changes. I think at this point, Grant is our only kid we're going to have and all these other stuff. So I don't have any reason to change size of my house at this point. But let's just say we wanted to move. Why would I go from a 2.5 to a 6.5? I mean, it doesn't make any sense. So Cindy and I are trapped not only in our marriage because of that interest rate, but in that house as well. Portability, is that a better play?

That is definitely a better play. I mean, that's a better play for people like you that are locked into the mortgage. It's, you know, it's not a play for those first-time homebuyers. So we've got to look at Ann. You know, we've got to look at portability for, you know, people that are locked in. But we've also got to find a way to get other people that are in that have been locked out. And that starts with affordability. But there's other ideas out there. You know, there's co-investing ideas where you can invest with an investor. You know, they can, you know, help pay your down payment. There's a lot of different things that you can do. Take Fannie Mae public. That's going to lower fees, lower interest rates. That's going to lock a lot of affordability as well. Okay. I'm a stupid person. So I got to ask you this. Is there a way for me to buy a new house at 2.5% interest and transfer my mortgage over there? There is not a way to do that. You know, there's a way to sell your existing loan to somebody else, but there's not a way to transfer that loan. And that's what's got to be figured out. Yeah, I agree with that. Interesting. The 50-year loan idea, I don't know. It sounds good, but I just I think it's... Sounds for one in a 200-year loan. I mean, it just sounds absolutely absurd. And maybe because it is. But that's where I'm at on that front. As for the Epstein files, which we will get into, look, Democrats are in disarray. So they're looking for a way to make this about Jeffrey Epstein. So they release three emails. One of them is a journalist, whatever you want to call him, trying to help Jeffrey Epstein deal with this. That journalist says that Donald Trump is the one who turned in Jeffrey Epstein. That's one. Another one of the emails is Virginia Guffrey referencing her saying that Donald Trump never did anything wrong. So that's two of the three emails. And they're desperate. That's just the way it is. Disney is losing $30 million every single week in revenue from the blacked out ABC and ESPN channels, which in the grand scheme of things, isn't really that big of a deal. Plus, they got $35 for me this weekend. But they are now offering up a $20 credit amid ongoing negotiations about... clearing these channels. This is significantly impacting college football fans, pro football fans, and even election night. So we are watching as this is not great, not great, but they are still trying to hash all this out. Hopefully they're able to get it done by this weekend. There is some talk about there being some movement on the issue. Government's opened up. It's time for ESPN and ABC to open back up to college football fans. Huh? Maybe? Maybe? Okay, hurry. Number six. Alabama conservative organizations like the Alabama Policy Institute and the Eagle Forum of Alabama are very happy about the new bill ending the government shutdown. Why? Well, because Mitch McConnell included language in the package that closes a hemp loophole. Specifically, the Senate text, and this is from Elhammer News.com, treats total THC including Delta 8, THCA, and similar items as counting towards the limit excludes cannibidones and other synthesized and manufactured outside the plant. Adds a hard cap of 0.4 milligrams per container on THC like canniboyds in finished products. It provides a one-year implementation period before changes take effect. So basically, They're banning intoxicating hemp products, Delta 8 products and synthetic products. I'm fine with this. The opening of this was an accidental back door that they did not mean to open. I'm fine with them slamming it shut. Number five. President Donald Trump is asking. retired Alabama coach and ESPN commentator Nick Saban to help fix college sports NIL and transfer portal chaos. I don't know if he's going to be able to quote, get Nick Saban, or sorry, get Nick Saban, quote, involved, end quote, in this. But he wants it to happen.

That's what he told Pat McAfee. McAfee took all the heat for even having him on the program. But that aside, Saban may be a little busy because right now, betting odds, betting odds have Nick Saban as the new coach of LSU. I don't believe that. I don't believe that. Is saving going to LSU? Is that even a bad? No, why would you leave Alabama get a great job at ESPN, do a great job on ESPN just to go back and deal with the same problems that people say he left? Number four. Alabama governor, Kay Ivey talked up the state's education turnaround, citing fourth graders leaping. From 52nd in math to 32nd in math. I mean, guys, that's a huge deal. Huge deal. And from 49th to 34th in reading after early instruction investments, teacher retraining, coaches, as well as the Alabama Literacy Act. Yeah, so remember when all your liberal friends tell you, oh my God, our educationism is so bad. We're seeing a lot of improvement here. Kay Ivey said, this is a remarkable accomplishment, considering right now the bottom five years ago. That's good. All moving forward, and you've got to be very happy about it. There's a National Review article called The Southern Surge in Education, which is spotlighting those gains. And that's good, real good. So moving forward, quote, folks are taking notes. I'm sorry, folks are taking notes. Number three. U.S. Representative Shamari Figures defended his vote against funding bills as hell yes, we should keep the government shut down. Okay. Okay. All right. Saying hell yes, it's worth the shutdown to spotlight Obamacare tax credit extensions. You mean? Handouts? I mean, I'm not sure about Obamacare handouts. Criticizing Republicans non-binding December vote is dead on arrival and complaining about Snap handouts being delayed. U.S. Representative Terry Sue already said she would vote. Hell no, and she did. She followed it through and voted no. About those Obamacare handouts, which is how you should talk about them, guys. You should be calling them handouts, not subsidies. Katie Britt signaling that she is kind of iffy on them. They're at risk of not passing the Senate. That's interesting. Number two. All right, Congress passed a bipartisan funding bill. 222 to 209 ending the 42-day record government shutdown. I've heard 42, 43, whatever. It's a record government shutdown and sending my wife back to work. That's the most important thing. Cindy is back to work because that's the important thing about this. Six Democrats and two Republicans cross the line providing full funding for agriculture, legislative branch, the VA through January 30th, 2026, reversing layoffs with back. Pay funding snap for 42 million and promising a United States Senate December Obamacare Handout. Again, call it what it is, Obamacare handout vote.

and they're working on that. Trump signed it into law. The government is now reopened. So congratulations, all of you guys headed back to work, especially those of you who got over by not having to work at all and are still going to get paid. You crafty little devils, congratulations. Get back to work. Time for the number one thing you'll be talking about today. They insist, they insist. Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, the government just reopened and all they can talk about is Jeffrey Epstein. Wow, it's almost like they're trying to distract from the massive failures on the parts of their Democrats. Yes, the media and their Democrats are, it's almost like they're trying to distract you. What a shocker. Well, the media and their Democrats scrambled to distract from their failures to get concessions on the government shutdown. House Democrats released three Epstein documents, including emails where biographer Michael Wolfe, you know what, let's call him a journalist because that's probably what he wants to call himself, but I'm going to put that in quotes. Journalist Michael Wolf urged Jeffrey Epstein to publicly criticize Donald Trump in order to gain political cover. Yes, not saying he did anything, just say he did. And now they're doing that. They wanted to claim that he spent two hours with the girl who stated Trump did nothing wrong. Okay. But the GOPA House oversight released additional files amid investigations conflicting with Epstein's email claiming Trump knew of underage abuse but didn't participate in it. So it's just ridiculous. This whole thing is just completely patently absurd. It is an attempt to deflect from their failures. And it's working. It's absolutely working. Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, Epstein. Just know, every single part of this is predicated on Democrats telling you things they don't actually believe. Okay? Just know that. Let them say whatever they want, do whatever they want, believe whatever they want. But know this. They do not actually believe the thing they are saying. As long as we start at that starting point and we go from there, we can all accept. that this is a stupid, ridiculous bunch of nonsense. So good luck on this. I say release the files, put them out there, do everything you need to do, let the chips fall where they may. But they don't have anything on Donald Trump because if they did, we'd have already seen it. We've seen their behavior. We know how they act. We know what they do. He failed us on COVID. He planned January 6th. Jack Smith is going to get him. Look at these classified documents. He raped E.J. Carroll. He tried to rig the election in Georgia. He committed mortgage fraud. Did I miss anything? I mean, I'm sure I did. This has been going on since the beginning of time here, apparently. But you're telling me this whole time, well, they're like going on and on about E.J. Carroll that there was some low-level bureaucrat government employees sitting on Donald Trump raped these people. I mean, who believes that? And if you do believe that, what's wrong with you? Why do you believe that? For someone who thinks he did it, can you explain it to me? Like, I'm a stupid guy, right? I'm just a big dumb dumb. I'm stupid. Nobody should trust me on anything. I'm just a stupid idiot moron, right? So can someone explain to me exactly why Democrats decide? to sit on this can someone explain that to me i mean there has to be a reason why they sat on this and waited until now why would they do that and it's a serious question i know a lot of people hear that think that i'm being like kind of facetious here but let me let me let me do away with that notion here okay i am being a hundred percent serious If Democrats believe this, why did they sit on it? Well, what, their respect for Donald Trump was too great? Their respect for the norms of the office. That's it. You know, oh, my norms, remember that? Remember that whole thing? My norms, my norms, my norms. Is that it? I mean, I just want to know exactly what the reasoning is that they decided that they would just sit on it. Why? Why would they do it? What leads us to believe that they would? And the answer is nothing. Nothing leads us to believe that they would just sit on it. There's no reason to believe they would sit on it at all. They've been going hard at this guy since the beginning of time. And now you're telling me that they're just like, yeah, you know what? The whole thing's just, you know, look, we want to get the guy, but we don't want to expose that he's a child molester. What we want to do is show that the Russians are trying to use him in order to, I don't know, go into Ukraine during Joe Biden's term.

No, that one doesn't work. Okay. So we don't want to expose him as a child molester. Instead, we want to get him and take him down because he didn't pay his taxes. No, that doesn't work either. Let's see. He's a child molester, but we don't want to get him on that. We want to get him on the fact that he said, go to the Capitol peacefully, which is a call for violence. Is it that one? Is that the one we want to go with? See, again, I want you to understand this. Lots of times politics is just people being wrong about stuff. and getting things wrong, that happens. Okay, a lot of times that that's what it is. People, you know, being wrong about politics, having wrong ideas, being kind of stupid. That's true. And then sometimes it's just actual malice. In this case, there's actual malice. And these people do not believe a single thing they're saying. They do not believe a single thing they're saying. That's why they can't defend it. That's why everything is innuendo. Everything is innuendo. Everything is a suggestion of some other terrible deed that's just below the surface that we all know he did. We all know he did that. I mean, we can't prove it, but we all know he did. And if he didn't, then why does he have a problem with us saying he did? Think about it, guys. If he's not a child molester, why is he mad that we keep saying he's a child molester? This is their argument. And the media's running with this. Well, some people are saying that's Virginia Guffrey. What do you mean some people are saying? It's not up to debate. It is Virginia Guffrey. She didn't accuse him to do anything. No one has. Nobody has legitimately accused him of doing anything in this case. And the American media is covering it as if they have nailed him to the wall on it. They haven't. They haven't remotely nailed him to the wall on it. All they've done is make innuendo and nonsense. And they don't even care that it's not true. All they're doing is just putting it out there. The only thing, the thing I think is interesting besides that for Alabama is the THC side of this, the Delta 8 stuff. And I know the garbage shutdown is bigger. I just want to kind of get this out of the way. A lot of conservative groups are happy to see the hemp loophole closed. Do you have any idea how that's going to impact Alabama at all? Is there any impact on Alabama there? These groups are very happy. Alabama Policy Institute Eagle Forum. Any idea how that actually impacts Alabama on a day-to-day level? Well, I think it totally changes where we were with the bill that was passed last year. We passed a bill last year that was not what, I don't think probably no one who voted for the bill was happy with the bill. But it was kind of like, well, our hands are tied. If we do nothing, then the federal, you know, what the federal government is allowed is left just a, you know. In some respects, a gaping hole. I mean, I was with some other senators for dinner in Birmingham recently. We went over to, there was a specialty beer store nearby, and they wanted to go in and look at it. And there was like a whole shelf that was, you know, dedicated to THC products. And, you know, some of them were as low as two and a half milligrams or whatever. I don't know what the category is. But I think that's the equivalent of one drink liquor or, you know, one beer.

And then, you know, some were, you know, three and a half, some, you know, a lot were five, and most were ten, which is, I think, the limits maybe that we put on it. But there was one that was 50 and several that were 20. I mean, golly, how stone do you get with 50? You know, figure, you know, what's that 20 drinks of liquor? I'm not the good early morning math, but any event, they're... you know, that stuff is out there because that, and, you know, the bill is not effective yet in terms of shutting that down. So my suspicion is that that means that all the stuff just goes away next year. I think there's a, you know, one-year loophole left in for it. And apparently that's why I was wondering why Rand Paul was voting no. Of course, he's, and there's a lot of things I agree with him on, you know, even this dad, you know. His dad was running for president. I'd be going, preach it, preach it, preach it. Then he'd say something like, oh, dude, you sound like you're from bars. I mean, sometimes they just, you know, they just say crazy stuff. But, you know, look, all politics is local. I know that some people are trying to say that is all national now. And I will say it has been greatly nationalized. It's gotten more about R&D. But nonetheless, with his vote on that, apparently that's a big deal for Kentucky farmers since they can't sell nicotine to people to kill folks. They're, you know, wanting to sell hemp. And I just, and everything else is just like it's the purest on his standpoint, you know, that he wants to. tamp things down but sometimes you've got to make the best call that you can or what you can what you could pass and be realistic about it but um well let me ask this let me ask this does it does this structurally change a year from now it changes things okay the hemp products are going to have some issues what's got to be on the shelf what can't be on the shelf etc um does pressure come from in the Alabama legislature to to open up the door So there will be pressure to at least have these 5 to 10 milliliter beverages. I think there will be a good bit there. And people say we've made the investment, we've done this, we've done that. But that was all premised on the federal loophole where we said we couldn't do anything about it. Now that federal loophole apparently is closed. And so it seems like that we're going to be in a position now to say, well, if we vote for this, we're legalizing marijuana. You know, before it was the federal government. Yep. I agree. And so I think that's, to me, in the state of Alabama in an election year, that probably means we, you know, shut it down. Yeah, I think you're right. I would imagine it would be timed with the federal, you know, whatever, you know, whatever date the federal government put on it in this, this CR, I would imagine we would.

We would probably match up with that date. Has the, has marijuana fever broke our as a whole in this country? Are we over this whole thing of like, hey, we just got to legalize everything? It's just a plant guys. It's just a plant. Have we broke the fever on this? Um. There's a passionate base for that. You know, I mean, I see a few things on social media. I don't get many emails about it. I've gotten some. I got some during the session, but a lot of it's triggered from out of district. So I don't see a big... you know drum beat for it okay all right fair enough fair enough i want to play a clip for you real quick i'm gonna i'm gonna we're gonna play lawyer here real quick i just want to i heard something yesterday and i thought i gotta ask a lawyer about this so that's what we're gonna do hold on one second listen to this this is jen saki yesterday uh talking about the epstein files in supporting what Donald Trump is doing. You're talking about the other predators out there in addition to Trump. I'm not saying he is. We don't know all the details about that. I just mean in addition to what we've learned about Epstein and others. Oh, oh, oh, oh, we called Donald Trump a predator and then we walk it back. I'm not a lawyer here. You are, but I'm not asking you to know everything about law all the time, except Freddie here. I'm going to ask you to know everything about law all the time. If she's all of a sudden, let me be a predator. Doesn't that kind of give away the game that they don't actually think he's a predator and they're just throwing this out here going, what do you guys think? Because she's afraid of being sued. I think she's trying to keep from being sued. I don't really think into that other than she doesn't want to be sued because she cannot prove the truth. Okay. So if she accuses him of a crime and that's, you know, being a predator, you know, there's nothing.

she didn't say a child predator. So, I mean, that's just, that's the kind of splitting the hairs that you're going to do. And I don't think that's actionable. And I don't think Trump would go into that. But if she accused them of certain things, which you're saying stuff all over social media, people, you know, accusing them of that. Now he's not going to go after every Democrat Karen out there and try to sue them over, you know, putting some post out there. But. You do see it out there. Oh, no, it's out there. And they are trying their best to sort of make this idea that he's a rapist and this is where you get him. And it's just like, guys, you, how long? This is my premise on this, Senator Gavan. Democrats, it seems like 80% of their arguments are things that not even they believe. Like, they'll say things that they don't believe just because they think it helps advance their argument amongst the loons and their base. And this is one of those things. They know Donald Trump. We're one of the Republican shutdown. I mean, did any of them believe that? I mean, the Republicans other than Rand Paul, we're all voting for it. And one other guy from one House member from Kentucky and maybe one other House member. I mean, you know, it's just it was Democrats that wouldn't vote for it. Yeah, I think that it's kind of crazy here that these people are trying to make this argument. And at the end of the day, one, she's like, oh, he's a predator, I mean, which goes to tell you that that's what they want to be able to say, but they know they can't. So they leave it up to their chattering class to go on social media and sort of do this thing. And I was telling, I was telling. Emily and Bugsy earlier today. There was a post from some influence was like, well, if he was in that house for two hours, they have videos. That means they have blackmail videos. It's like, these people are living in like some weird alternate reality here on this matter. And they've just decided, oh, we lost the garbage shutdown. Time to talk about Epstein. And they released three files, one with a journalist coaching Jeffrey Epstein to lie. Another has a redacted name where the person has already told. well, they're dead now, but they told people, hey, Donald Trump didn't do anything wrong on the record. And this is their smoking gun. They released three of thousands and we're supposed to take it and believe it. Does this have any long-term impact? Are we just going to have Epstein fever for a week and then go away? I think it'll smolder for a bit and then we'll come back up when they need to start another brush fire. That's it. I think you're right about that. It's just every now and then they're back to the Epstein files. And I think that's why guys like Tim Burchett and who was the other one who tried to have it all released. I forget what the other one was. But there were two members of the House who were like, let's just release the whole thing. And then Democrats blocked it. And it's just put it out there. I mean, look, here's how to look at it. If they had Donald Trump on anything, we'd already know. That's number one. Number two. If you want to do this, then let's just do it. Put it out there and let the chips fall at where they may. If there is some sort of issue with Donald Trump and he did something inappropriate, good, fry him. I don't care. I have no affinity for someone who would do something wrong. I don't care. So go ahead and do that. And it just seems like we have something that instead you want to use as a weapon where it's why you get three released instead of all these. So I think that's pretty much where we are.

Ready? Here's another off-the-wall question for you just because it's come up here on the program recently. You don't do this kind of real estate law either, but I'm going to ask you anyway. 50-year mortgages. If your kids came to you and said, hey, dad, I'm thinking about getting a 50-year mortgage. What do you say to them? I would try to find Dave Ramsey's personal cell phone number and have them talk to them. Listen, I used to do residential, and that's where I got my start before I moved over into commercial. And I still do it. Now that I'm in a firm that's set up to do residential, I'll do one or two a year. I don't do many, but just what falls in my lap. It just doesn't make any sense. I mean, you're not saving that much. I mean, I'm on house number. Of course, I kept having kids. You know, wouldn't like you. You're moving to one house, and you're good. I kept having to buy bigger houses. And, you know, this is the longest house we've stayed in. We've been here over 10 years. But... You know, the idea of getting a 50-year mortgage just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It's, you know, a 15-year mortgage is what you need. Now, I get it. When I'm starting out, I couldn't afford a 15-year mortgage. But I would discourage my kids from getting anything other than a better. I mean, ideally it would be a 15, but practically speaking for most young families, it's going to be a 30. And I think anything more than that's a mistake. Sam, you're a big time. Why don't you just give them a zero interest loan on whatever they want to buy? Why are you making them even go to the bank? Good Lord. Give me a break. Go on, dad. What are you doing? All right. So, a last thing here, Paul Feimbaum. I got a contacted by a Fox News journalist, and after going through all the corporate rigamoreau, I was allowed to talk to them. And they asked me basically this. What does Paul Feinbaum stand for politically? And I said, I don't know. Nobody does. He's the only thing he's ever said about politics is that Donald Trump is immature and the Charlie Kirk assassination moved me. That's it. Can he win a Republican primary with that record, with Barry Moore in the race, with Steve Marshall in the race? And I say that knowing damn well that Tommy Tuberville beat Jeff Sessions, okay? I mean, I'm well aware of that, that. But Jeff Sessions had some baggage where Donald Trump was constantly pounded on him and stuff for it, like, seemed like forever. Can Paul Fibum come from nowhere and went?

Can he, yes. I mean, because he's got almost universal name ID. But especially when, you know, when you've got the players, you've got in there and you've got the organizations, the various organizations that are going to be supporting predominantly. And I know there are other people in the race that have some, or at least one other in a race that have some traction. But you're going to have, you know, Farmers Federation backing somebody, like I guess they already have back, Marshall. You're going to have, you know, BCA eventually picking somebody, and they're going to have different ones, you know, realtors or whatnot. And they're sending out notifications. You're going to have an AEA probably making an endorsement somewhere in there. I don't know if they play in that arena or not. But you're going to have a number of groups that are sending out things to their members saying this is who we support. And this is the person that supports our industry, Huma, Huma, Huma. And do you expect Jerome Powell Fondom to be on any of those lists? And the answer to that is probably not. And, I mean, maybe the Sports Broadcasters Association or something, but, you know, it's not going to be not going to be for the farmers, not going to be for the realtors, home builders, whatnot. So I just, and then when you get. Where's that name ID going to pop? A name ID is going to pop in a general election. It's going to pop in the original Republican primary in a runoff when the casual voter drops way down. And it is the hyper-partisan for the most part. voters showing up, it's going to matter about what your policy is and more so than what your name is. I think you're right about that. That's pretty much what I told him. I said he's got a universal name ID, but he hasn't said a single word. Once he starts talking politics, that's going to start to chip away at him on all sides. And I think that that's probably how this all goes. But could he win? Absolutely. Will he? I don't think so, but we'll have to continue this conversation. Dershowitz was Epstein's lawyer, and lawyer client confidentiality ends death. Dershowitz went on television today, said I have all of the Epstein stuff, and there isn't anything. And I asked Epstein directly while I was representing him whether Donald Trump was involved in any kind of untoward activity. And Epstein said no. Yeah, I mean, they know this, right?

Like, Democrats know this. They know all of this, correct? You know, I go back and forth because I think sometimes they're just crazy. And when you're crazy, you just, if you really believe that Trump is Hitler or Satan, you can convince yourself of anything about him, even if it's like there's no evidence. Maybe so.
