You're listening to South Carolina's Morning News with Kelly Nash. And good morning to you, Christopher Thompson. Glad to have you along as well this morning. Appreciate that. And we're, I'm looking at the front page of the state newspaper and headline over a third. I think, I don't know if they meant to say, well, I guess it does say. Over a third of the South's, LGBTQ plus may be planning to move where does South Carolina stand. And the story goes on to say 32% of LGBTQ individuals say they plan on leaving the South to find more LGBTQ plus friendly states. South Carolina. has continued to outpace the country when it comes to population growth. But we are apparently losing the LGBTQ plus community, and they start quoting, like, who is this person here? Some elected leaders, not all of whom are very outspoken about creating a version of this state that does not welcome people like me and my family and my children. Somebody named Peel. Oh, Ashley Peel, executive director of something called the... AFFA Action Group, which is an LGBTQ policy advocacy organization. She goes on to say that sort of hostility is hard to balance with how much pride I have for being born and raised in North Charleston and being from the state of South Carolina. I'm genuinely shocked to hear that... they feel as if there's some sort of legislative move to make their lives more difficult. I'm unaware of any laws that we've passed to make life difficult for gay or lesbian or trans people. Are you aware of any? Well, I think they're pointing to the bathroom bill that they're pointing to conversion therapy being canceled. And I think, I mean, I read the article. I skimmed the article, I should say. I was really all that interested to tell you the truth. Yeah. It's, you know, I mean, there are plenty of people who will full welcome here if they don't, but I don't think we've made a huge move as a state to make anyone feel unwelcome. Yeah, I mean, when I think of South Carolina, it is one of, well, to me, it was the most welcoming state. Like I said the other day, you know, I was. I was one of those people trying to escape the north where I did not feel welcome because they wanted all of my money. But on top of it, there was just a whole bunch of people who didn't think like me at all and were very outspoken against people who might even just be centrists in New York. If you were a centrist, you were an oddball and made to feel that way. Now, I mean, I know gay, lesbian people who go to my church. Our pastor doesn't say that what they're doing is correct, but he points out that we're all sinners and that we all fall short. And that's why we all need Jesus. I know we, I mean, you and I have had multiple coworkers in this office that are gays. Sure. I don't know of any culture that's being created to make them feel like they shouldn't be in our state. It's, I mean,

I guess we're now at a point where America can divide itself on anything. I mean, I can't imagine when they were drawing this up 250 years ago that there was going to be a point where they were like, oh, and then there's going to be states that are very pro-homosexual, and they're going to try to lure people into their states. So this is the Great American Experiment has now hit another level where we're now marketing ourselves as a state that's very pro-gay or a state that's very pro-tax friendly. I mean, some of the more traditional things like pro-tax friendly or more, you know, welcoming for firearms or those types of things. That would have, I think, always been part of the Great American Experiment. But this is a new angle. This idea that. You know, they're pointing out that they want to move to Portland, Oregon. They want to move to Seattle, Washington. They want to move to Chicago. My gosh, I can't. Who feels safe there? This is what I'm saying. I mean, there's nobody safe in Chicago. Well, I think there's a difference, though. I mean, you talk about the bathroom bill, for example. The trans community sees that as anti-trans when I think most of us see that as pro-protecting our children. Yes, yes. And, yeah, I mean, and by the way, just inside the LGBTQ plus community, there is a little civil war happening in there about the trans and the, what I would, I guess, reference as traditional gay people who don't think that the trans community is part of the LGBTQ, well, I guess by definition, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, they got the T. I still have not figured out what queer means. I don't know what the difference is between queer and gay. And the plus is that when we, is that like the, the lady from Canada who went viral a couple of months ago when she started, she threw in like the spirit people or something like that, LGBTQ SSSPQ2R? Ooh. group, I mean, and to her it just rolled off the tongue because they've been using that in Canada for like a decade now. So I guess we'll just keep broadening the definition. But again, if you're a gay, lesbian person who happens to be waking up and listening to our radio station, I like the fact that you're in our state. I'm not anti you. I'm not anti any of this stuff. I just, no, it's not for me. And I don't think, as you were saying, we don't want it. preached to the children in schools. You don't want, when you start talking about like the books that got banned, quote unquote banned, and that's a funny word to use because they're still available at every bookstore. You're still available on Amazon. It's not a book ban. It's just not in a school library. But those are very sexually oriented books that are trying to promote what we'll call an alternative lifestyle. But even the ones that are very sexual books geared towards just children in general. We don't want that in the school libraries. Absolutely not. So are we anti-heterosexual as well? I just, oh my gosh, I don't know. I hate to see Americans try to come up with new ways to divide themselves. I would love to see us start trying to figure out more ways to unite ourselves. And that's, I have loved the World Cup, Christopher. Did we have a game last night? We did.

Yeah, I guess we'll get that in the sports update. I can't wait to hear about that and more. And any of your thoughts on what's going on today, whether you want to talk about the Division of South Carolina by LGBTQ PlusIA, people who don't feel welcome here, or you want to talk about maybe what's going on at the Statehouse. I got some breaking news late yesterday from Bill Shanahan, your old pal. And so some maybe big news in Lexington County. Lots of stuff happening. This is South Carolina's morning news. Your news. If you check my social media pages, I was told that the... outfits were supposed to be garden chic i've never heard of that term christopher garden chic would have no idea what to wear so if you look on my facebook or uh instagram account i or my ex account i posted the photo did i pull off garden chic last night i tried i don't know i'm getting mixed reviews this morning but i don't know that you all know what garden chic means either so perhaps your opinion is wrong but uh anyway it was but i was not home last night to watch as i'm sure all of you do the CNN Abby Hoffman show with Scott Jennings. Let's see, I'm going to try to play a little clip of it here. Let me see if I can play this. Don't you all want to know? We do know. So, and by the way, what they're arguing over is Scott Jennings is talking about the fact that tomorrow night Donald Trump says he's going to present to the nation proof that. Foreign governments are interfering with government elections. And he again, asks the question almost incredulously, don't you all want to know? Don't you all want to know? Don't you think the first steps align? We know. The answer to that question, honestly, is no. Perfect. The journalist says if the president of the United States has information from the CIA and the FBI and other intelligence agencies that we do have governments, foreign governments interfering with our elections. We don't want to know about it. That is the official CNN position, I guess, today. So when you talk about their reporting moving forward, understand that they are coming from a bias of, we don't want to hear this. We don't want to know about it, which is an unbelievable position, I would think, for a journalist to take. Have you ever heard of a journalist saying, yeah, don't want to see the facts? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, especially when we're, you know, head and shoulders going towards the midterms. Yeah, we don't want to hear about it, though. That's a problem. If you presented proof that there was governments tamper, and by the way, isn't it the Democrats' position has always been for at least five, ten years now, the number one issue to protect is democracy?

And we have talked about how when you allow foreign, illegal aliens to vote in your election, you're actually destroying democracy because the democracy for the federal elections. I understand state elections can be different. But at the federal level, the only votes that are allowed to count are that of a U.S. citizen. And what you're doing in California in these other states where you're allowing illegal aliens to vote in local elections, we then also have to trust that they understand. that they're not supposed to vote for the senator. They're not supposed to vote for the governor or the president. They're not supposed to vote for the House members. They're just on the honor system. Everybody knows that's a lie. So when they vote in that election, you've neutralized the vote of somebody else who is an American citizen. So you've already started an attack on democracy. And then you've add in this idea that there's foreign governments tampering with the elections. And we haven't even heard the proof yet. That's coming tomorrow night, nine o'clock. Donald Trump's got a national press conference. Before he even presents his proof, you as a news outlet have said, We don't care. We don't want to hear it. We like the way things are going swimmingly. Of course they do. They have a lot of wins to chalk up to what has happened so far. They don't want to hear it. It's amazing. They're not even hiding the ball. I was just thinking about that as Karen Bass yesterday was trying to talk over the mob who was outraged over the latest fire that they had, I think, like two weeks ago in L.A. And this was a massive meat processing plant where they haven't even begun the cleanup, really. And according to the KABC, there's 85 million pounds of rotting meat now. And you can only imagine how many flies are out there. And they're reporting on that. And Karen Bass is telling the people who live in that community, this has been debunked. There's not these flies. This is not happening. So what are you going to do? You're going to replace Karen Bass with who? Nadia Solman or whatever her name is, the Democrat Socialist. Do you want to go further left? They've rigged that election. I have no doubt about it, that Spencer Pratt was going to be the other alternative, but you've removed him from the opportunity. Look, I've always said if there's somebody joking about something repeatedly, there's usually some sort of... A little bit of truth in it. I was a boy in the 70s, and I remember the jokes of... Chicago says vote early and often. Right. When I die, don't let me continue to vote Democrat or whatever. Remember my dying words. If I die in Chicago, I did not register as a Democrat. Those jokes have been around for 50 plus years. There's always a hint of truth in the fact that Democrat, they don't claim Republicans rig elections.

That's not been the jokes for 50 years. It has been that about Democrats. There's always been this suspicion, and there's usually a hint of truth in the suspicion. The fact that Donald Trump, the president says we have intelligence now that shows that foreign nationals are interfering in our elections, and you don't even want to hear it, is one of the most stunning revelations I can ever imagine a journalist saying. Imagine 60 minutes back in the day, Mike Wallace or one of those guys. And here comes the proof. I don't want to hear. Shut that down. Let's talk about something else. Why are Republicans continuing to beat their wives? Talk about a threat to democracy. I mean, that's, and the question is now, is Trump going to focus only on Georgia or is there going to be, you know, some type of, and is he going to go back to 2020 and is he going to rehash those old arguments or, you know, are we going to focus on the future? I think most Americans are no longer concerned with 2020, but they would be very concerned about what is happening in the current elections. My hope would be. He's going to move forward with it. My belief is he's probably going to revert back to 2020. He'll even go back to 2016 probably. Look, strategically bad move. If that's what happens tomorrow night. Yeah. Because Georgia is in legitimate play right now. Jon Ossoff is starting to lose in polls. You can swing that Senate seat. You're going to probably win big at the governor's level. You've got a billionaire who's willing to spend whatever it takes to make sure that he wins the governorship. You're going to be, right now, Brian Kemp and Trump are kind of in line. Don't ruin this. That would be my strategic hope. But we'll see tomorrow. But I'm at least interested in hearing what the president has to say. And I would say that about any president. If they say they got proof of some sort of election fraud, we should hear about it. Maybe you feel differently. I guess that was Chuck Grassley signing in Darlene Graham Nordone yesterday. And it was. Unfortunately, they had some sort of like microphone challenges. You would think, come on, man. How much money do taxpayers pay? We can't get a good mic up there for God's sakes. Anyway, that's Christopher Thompson. I'm Kelly Nash. Hope you're having a great start to your day. And now the move for who will replace Darlene Graham Nordone. In January is on yesterday, a House member here in South Carolina, Congressman William Timmons, who represents the Greenville-Spartanburg Area District 4. He posted, quote, there has been speculation about whether I will seek to replace Senator Lindsey Graham on the ballot this November. My focus today is not on politics. It's about mourning the loss of my friend and celebrating the life of one of South Carolina's greatest public servants. Unfortunately, the speculation has reached a point where I owe the people of South Carolina a straightforward explanation. Unless the South Carolina General Assembly changes state law, any current member of Congress already on the ballot for re-election, who is elected to replace Senator Graham, would leave their house seat vacant on January 3, 2027. I have told Speaker Johnson that I will not do anything that increases the number of votes he must secure to be reelected Speaker in January. At a time when every seat matters, protecting our Republican majority is more important than any individual's political future. It's the only way we can continue delivering President Trump's agenda for the American people. So far, I think everybody's like, that's awesome. Yay, golf clap. Golf clap. Then comes in the final lines. i also would like to say this plainly i cannot support Ralph Norman or Nancy Mace as senator Lindsey Graham's successor this is not personal it's about what south carolina deserves senator graham's seat should simply or should not simply be filled his legacy should be honored Now, that has led to what in the world is he talking about? Senator Graham's seat should not simply be filled. A lot of people who are interpreting that is, are you suggesting that we just leave it open? I think what he's saying is you need to not just get a regular person to be the senator. You need to be somebody who could be a leader like Lindsey Graham. But Lindsey Graham didn't go in as a leader. Yes, someone in Lindsey Graham's mold. Yeah. but the pushback online from not as much the Nancy Mace supporters, although there are many in here, but the Ralph Norman crew is beyond irate. This post has gone literally national viral. So this is like one of the top 15 posts of the last 24 hours just because there's so much engagement with basically Ralph Norman supporters who cannot believe that you've come on out and said you're not, you're unable to support Ralph Norman. Why? Why couldn't you not support Ralph Norman? And he does not?

clarify why he could not support Ralph Norman, just left it there. Pretty incredible from one of the lower profile members of Congress to make that much news yesterday, but he did. Yeah, and I get, I would love to have Mr. Timmons explain his position. Look, I don't mean to diminish Nancy Mason in any way, but I think most of us can understand why you would think she might not be the perfect fit for the upper chamber. You know, that's where the gravitas is. That's where, you know, people with very dignified speech rule the day. But. Ralph Norman, I think, and I'm not endorsing Ralph Norman. I just don't see what the problem would be if he was elected. And I'm wondering if Mr. Timmons, if you're not endorsing anybody, do you have a short list of suggested people? Or did you actually mean Senator Graham's seat should not be filled? If that's what you mean, that's crazy. Anyway. We'll try to get into. Maybe we're reaching out to the Mr. Timmons office to get an update on that. You're getting your day started with South Carolina's morning news. Live from the state capital, this is South Carolina's morning news with Kelly Nash. You know, I remember I think it was Arizona and Texas. During the Biden administration, tried to secure their borders because all of the illegal immigration that the federal government was allowing to happen. And Christopher, you remember they got sued over that? Oh, sure. Yeah. They lost in court. States can't do that. It was the constitutional issue. So insane. So today we see in Texas, the Health and Human Service Commission has begun cracking down on birth tourism. So this is a directive from Greg Abbott. It'll be very interesting to see. Will anybody sue them? Because this is, you know, again, the Supreme Court just upheld this, this idea that if you can get into America and be born. Then you get all the privileges of being a U.S. citizen. They're now in Texas trying to make sure that it can't happen. They've got a bunch of different things that they're doing to implement that. Is this going to be challenged at the Supreme Court level and found to be unconstitutional that we're blocking women from coming into Texas to give birth? Well, the good news for them is this time around they've got friends in the federal government who will work with them on programs like this instead of working against them. We need this all across the country, don't we? We need the Texas Health and Human Services to start going to Illinois and New York and Massachusetts and all these other places. But this could be a crazy story. I'm happy to see that Greg Abbott and the crew in Texas has taken this action because they're probably the ones most directly impacted by it. I'd like to see South Carolina do it. I wonder how many...

Do we know of any birth tourism happening here? We'll try to figure that out. Major policy shift at ICE was announced yesterday. We'll break that down coming up on South Carolina's morning news. You're listening to South Carolina's morning news with Kelly Nash. You know, the ice shootings. The pushback has been so monumental that U.S. ICE and Customs Enforcement officials announced yesterday, they're ending, quote, most vehicle stops nationwide effective immediately. I hate to hear this, Christopher. I mean, they have been doing so well, but, you know, you've had a couple of incidents here in the last couple of weeks. You had one in Maine. Was that over the weekend, I think? I think so. And then Texas last week. So we're blaming ICE because these illegals use their cars as weapons against ICE agents? It would appear so. I think that we didn't have body cam footage on one of them at least, and they're very upset about that, and it's taking a little bit longer than some had anticipated to roll out the body cams for all agents. Monday, it was when an ice agent killed a man in, I think it's pronounced Bedford, or Bidford, Maine. And... Angus King, the senator from Maine, said that he was told by Markwayne Mullin that the man killed was not the intended target of the arrest warrant, but federal agents had been looking at an illegal alien with a final order of removal, and that's where they were targeting. It seems as if this other individual kind of put themselves in harm's way, and then... ended up paying the ultimate cost with their lives. Anytime I see things where like there's a police shooting, my default position is it didn't just start with a police shooting. Something escalated it, right? It's not just the cops came in and just shot somebody sitting on a corner. They, you were doing something. And this idea that the Democrats keep pushing of, know your rights. You don't have to give them your ID. You don't have to do this. You don't have to do that. The best advice I ever got and the best advice you'll ever receive when dealing with law enforcement, comply as much as possible. When I get pulled over for speeding, which unfortunately happens to me a little too regularly. My hands are at 10 and 2 on the wheel. Sure. I want them to know I'm not reaching for nothing until you tell me to. I'm not digging through the glove box early because I'm trying to put myself in their shoes. If I'm walking up on a car, I don't know who's in that vehicle. Especially at night. Especially at night. Thankfully, most of my stuff happens in the middle of the day. But yes, comply. Understand that you have rights, but those rights will be.

enforced or however you want to take after you've been taken into custody if you're going into custody you're not going to litigate it on a sidewalk the cop is made up his mind you need to be arrested you're going to be arrested whether you're doing it willingly or not stop and these these democrats who keep pushing this idea on people that you you don't have to comply with law enforcement is one of the most dangerous positions any anybody's ever taken. And I'm for these agents wearing body cameras. I think it's a great idea because I think it would only prove the point of how dangerous these people are that ICE agents are dealing with. All too often, they're desperate. They know they're in this country illegally. They're willing to do anything to escape at that point. And that includes using their cars as weapons. That includes using their kids as shields, et cetera. Yeah. Oh my gosh. When they start doing that, that is crazy. But yeah, I guess it was last week. A Mexican citizen who was living in the country illegally was shot and killed in Houston after he tried to ram an ice officer with his vehicle during a traffic stop. So what had started, as you and I were just talking about, a routine traffic stop quickly escalated into an attempted murder. And the ice agent shot the driver, who then later died. And of course, Democrats tell everybody, get out there in protest. You should be protesting the illegals. They're the ones making it dangerous. Absolutely. And these ICE agents are there to keep the public safe. I mean, it's an illustration of the whole illegal immigrant argument is these people are here illegally. And they're so desperate to stay that they will do anything, whether that's defraud the American government, or whether that's in danger the average American citizen, or whether that's in danger an ICE agent who's sent there to round them up and possibly deport them. And also with the understanding that there are very high profile, high-ranking senators, presidential candidates, and the such that will back that move as well. Sure. You had to do what you had to do to keep your family safe so you killed an ice agent. Goodness gracious. These people are lunatics. But that's what we're dealing with in America this morning. But look, I'm going to. I got to get myself out of this mood. I got to get back out of the happy side. Get back on the good foot. We'll be working on that and taking your talkbacks as well. Now, Kelly Nash. I don't think I was surprised. I don't think Christopher, you would probably be surprised either, that the South Carolina budget did not really get very close to being passed yesterday. There is a huge rift between the House and Senate conferees at this point. Senator Tom Davis, Republican Beaufort outlined three paths forward yesterday, continue without a budget, cut some House earmarks, or their amounts. and allow for the partial property tax cut or just nicks all the lawmakers projects and the homestead exemption. So in the House, they're looking for $315 million in earmarks. The senators say $130 million. And I don't even think that that $130 million and the $315 million, I don't even think they're like. you know like overlap i think that they're like completely separate so it's different projects different pet projects yeah so it's almost a half billion dollars in quote unquote pet projects and um Bruce Bannister, chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, said that the budget negotiators should look through the earmarks and pick which projects will actually benefit the constituents. I think we need to look at these projects individually on their merit, Bannister said. If they're no good, we'll get rid of them. The problem with that attitude, Bruce, is that we can always find a good cause to spend money on. We don't want the government to keep spending money, though. We want... The people who live in the town to fund whatever it is that the people in the town want. We don't want them to just, like, why am I funding a firehouse in Beaufort or whatever that earmark was for? That should not be coming from the tax people of Charleston and Myrtle Beach and what they shouldn't be paying for a firehouse in Beaufort. If the people of Beaufort want another firehouse, they can increase their own taxes and then... build themselves a new firehouse. If we want a, in Richland County something, a whatever, we can increase our own taxes. But this idea that the, it's the job of the state government to just provide for every want and whim of every local lawmaker so that they can put their name in front of a building is ridiculous. And it serves to deter people from moving here. We are, what do they say? One of the fastest growing states by popular. But we could be doing so much more. We almost do it in spite of the way our government's being run here because we've got everything going for us. The weather people love, the ocean people love, the mountains people love. You're right between Charlotte and Atlanta, two of the fastest growing cities in America. Myrtle Beach is on fire with people retiring and moving there. Everything is going in our direction. And yet... We don't get, I mean, I don't think we have anywhere near enough new businesses and new opportunities for South Carolinians based off of just how business friendly are we and what is our tax structure like. Well, Bruce Bannister, I would hope we would start before these earmarks even make it into a bill to examine it and say, all right, does this benefit the taxpayers of South Carolina?

or not. How do they get into it? And then we say later, well, we should examine all these and make sure they are true benefits to South Carolina taxpayers. That should be your starting point, not here at a budget impasse to say, okay, yeah, we do need to examine these earmarks and make sure we strike the ones that aren't beneficial to taxpayers. Strong point. And to further it, like you said, we're two weeks past the budget being due. It was supposed to start on July 1st. And now you want to review it? I'm starting to agree with Tom Davis. Maybe no budget's okay. Maybe just freezing the numbers where they are because, you know, otherwise we're spending more. And our legislature loves to do that. If you're Alan Wilson right now, and you just had him on yesterday, if you're Alan Wilson, you've got to be probably rubbing your hands and thinking, okay, this is great. If they would just freeze everything where it was, he's got a tax plan. He revealed it during the debates, the gubernatorial debates. He's got a tax plan in place. If we get to next session. and the House and Senate can't get together and just freeze things where they are, then he can come out with his own tax plan and say, look, guys, we want to save taxpayers' money, here's the way we do it. The one negative to that, and I agree exactly with what you said, the one negative is in what had been promised to state employees was there was going to be a pay raise. Including teachers. And the teachers also were supposed to get a pay raise. And there's, and they... That does not happen if we just go with the continuing resolution. So something to think about. Going off what you said this morning about the LGBTQT plus wanting to move away from southern states. Yes, this is true. I had a client. They were wanting to move away. Nice couple good people in the community, but they said that South Carolina was not for them and they wanted to move up to North Carolina, I think, to Asheville. Asheville, you know, Asheville's probably very pro-gay friendly, I would assume. Oh, it is. I haven't been to Asheville in a couple of years now. I stopped going. I actually liked Asheville when I first moved here. I don't like it as much now. And it's not because of all the gay people that are there. It's more of the drug use that is so rampant there. But, yeah, we're who's commenting on the 190,000 LGBTQ adults in South Carolina, according to the state newspaper. And in a nationwide survey...

32% of LGBTQ individuals living in the South say they are planning to relocate in the next year to more LGBTQ-friendly places. According to them and their survey, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Tennessee are the most hostile states with anti-LGBQ plus policies. I'm not, and again, if you're saying that the policy is the bathroom policy or the trans... policy regarding sports, you should park that. That's not part of a, first off, that's only the T. That's just the T. The LG, I don't think most, I don't, I'm not aware of any policies designed against gays and lesbians in this state. Maybe I'm wrong because I'm not one, but I'm not aware of any. I also don't. Again, this is just me personally. I don't know of anybody who's really hostile towards the gay and lesbian community. I know that when they have the pride parades, if there's certain behavior that is overtly sexual happening in the streets, you might get some pushback on that. But you would also get that if you had a bunch of strippers going down the street. So, again, maybe it's just that we're more modest. We're a more modest people who like to cover ourselves up for the most part. No, maybe it's a more conservative state in Tennessee and Louisiana with, you know, Republican leadership there. It's, I mean, I understand it's, it may not be pro. LGBTQ, but I don't think it's anti-LGBQ either. Yeah, I think we're trying to find a nice middle ground in, you know, it, we're a very welcoming state. We're, I mean, we have manners. We're polite. Yes. And if they've had isolated incidents with certain individuals, you know, that could happen anywhere. That, yes, that's the bigger point. The South Carolinians in general. are very accommodating and welcoming to everybody. It's a great state. I'm sad to hear people want to move out of it. I think for the most part, you're probably going to not be as happy moving forward, but maybe you'll prove me wrong. In the meantime, Christopher, when we come back, one of the mayors of what had been one of the most pro-gay cities in America... has made a shocking political shift that it might be the new roadmap. for Democrats trying to save their jobs, save their bacon. Oh, I've been looking for this good news for a while. We've been talking about how the Democrat socialists of America have been attacking Democrats. And it has been a bloodbath for the Democrat Party. Most recently, a pretty high-profile guy, and Dan Goldman was taken down in New York City. He's one of the people who led the impeachment of Donald Trump, and that was not left enough for the Democrat Socialists of New York, and he was overwhelmingly defeated, along with the rest of the Zohran Mamdani ticket. But here we go, Christopher. Look at San Francisco. You have a mayor who came into office in 2025. White, heterosexual, pro-Israel? Are you kidding me? A man who, again, a Democrat, but he's cut taxes. He actually just got a ballot measure defeated that would have raised taxes on any companies that had a CEO making over $5 million a year. He said, this is insane. There's no way we should be doing that. And he got it defeated. He also backed his own ticket and got two of his centrists elected. San Francisco is moving to the center. And he said, we're going to stop with all the virtue signaling. Of course, gays and lesbians are more than welcome and have made great contributions to our artistic community and our community in general, but we're not going to force out heterosexual people. We're not going to make them uncomfortable about anybody's sexuality. We're not going to raise taxes even further on the wealthiest amongst us. We're going to try to encourage businesses. And right now, not only is he winning... But according to a survey that came out this week, he's at a 75% approval rating in San Francisco. Wow. That's incredible for that area. But, I mean, it just goes to show once a beautiful city, a city that people loved to visit, once it goes into that big of a decline where it's not safe to live there, where you can't walk the streets without stepping in stuff. where you can't walk around without seeing syringes and, you know, use drug materials everywhere, where conventions stop coming to your town because people don't feel safe? I mean, you've lost. You've got to turn it around. Otherwise, everyone leaves. But it seems as if you and I would say that, obviously, Portland, Oregon continues to go down that path. I mean, Seattle, Washington. elected a woman who was living with her parents. I mean, it's crazy what they're doing in some of these places. But here is a oasis of sanity. And the last place I would have expected, San Francisco. It got so bad, they had to make a change. And this guy is the cousin of Dan Goldman.

And so this is fantastic. He's like, of course we're going to stand for Israel. We love Israel. Israel is a great ally of this country. And the Jewish community has made great contributions to our country as well as the LGBTQ. We're not going to, we're not going to do like Zohran Mamdani. Did you see his map the other day of historic communities? And he removed Little Italy. Wow. The Italians in New York are like, are you telling us the Italians did nothing in New York? Geez. I'm talking about, I know your history. What did you say is San Francisco's mayor's approval rate 75%? 74.3% in the poll that came out. He is on fire right now. And he's got a pack that he's building where he says we're looking for centrists across the country. People who want to be moderate Democrats, we need to help you. And so. Good for this. Look, politics makes for strange bedfellows. Never in a trillion years would I thought I'd be saying, let's try to help the mayor of San Francisco accomplish something. But go Daniel Lurie. I love what you're doing. I love that. Look, we're not going to see eye to eye on a lot of politics. That's okay. But at least you're putting America first. You're putting San Francisco first. You're putting the idea that San Francisco. was a great community and should be a great city again in America. And it's possible, even with some leftist policies, just left of center. A little bit left. I remember when Trump was describing Lindsey Graham or somebody and he said, a little bit to the left of where I might, that's okay. Anyway, keep going, Daniel Lurie. As Pete Hegseth says, this is designed to further degrade the military capabilities of the Iranian forces, which they've used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. When you think back, we've been, quote, unquote, at war with them since late February, if I remember, right? But we've only had basically like 32 days of actual fighting. So... I think that we're seeing the United States is now going to be serious about taking the Iranian regime down, and they are... they are going at it hard this morning. There's a lot happening. And Iran responds by attacking its neighbors. Yes. And they're going to, they're just, again, they continue to alienate themselves from the other countries in the region, which is an unbelievable development because they had been, that whole OPEC thing was designed specifically to hurt the United States years ago. OPEC is now falling apart in a lot of those countries like the UAE are now siding with the United States against.

the Iranians, even Iraq is going against Iran. It's everybody's turning on them. And so I'm expecting this to increase, not decrease. And I see the United Nations this morning is now condemning our actions because the Strait of Hormuz is so important to food and other things. Well, yes, but we need to open it up, UN. They're not just going to let things flow. Anyway, we're keeping an eye on that and other stories as well. This is South Carolina's morning news. Records that have been provided to the senator show that the Biden DOJ established what's called a filter team.

through Jack Smith's investigations. And as you remember, Jack Smith was the guy who, I remember when Jack Smith went to Subway and they said that proves that Donald Trump's guilty. He went to Subway. He's so confident that he's got him. Well. Turns out not so much and also turns out that it appears that Jack Smith and his filter team were illegally monitoring the phones of at least 44 Republicans, including the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, Vice President Mike Pence, Kellyanne Conway, Rudy Giuliani, Stephen Miller, Peter Navarro. The list goes on and on in what was illegally tapped, according to Chuck Grassley. I appreciate Rand Paul pointing out on his social media page. In December of 2025, Jack Smith swore under oath that he didn't spy on any text messages belonging to any members of Congress. Today, we have new evidence confirming that he not only did that, but he had dozens and dozens of members of Congress, including myself illegally being spied upon. This is a blatant abuse of power and exactly what the founders warned against. I'm wondering is the next step, are we going to see some sort of... you know, charges against Jack Smith or... Well, that's perjury right off the bat, isn't it? I would testify under oath. I mean, I haven't seen it. I was waiting for Rand Paul to put a little bow on that and say we'll be bringing perjury charges, but he didn't. He just ended the tweet with this as a blatant abuse of power and exactly what the founders had warned about. But this, you know, as on the... And I hate to sully the release of Joe Biden's hot new book that you brought to our attention. But this just, again, brings back to memory. How abusive the Biden... administration was the department of justice under his watch everything was designed to abuse the american people take advantage of government power use it against americans you know looking back at the whole 2020 2021 the parent teacher meetings that were suddenly the parents are being labeled as terrorists because they don't like what the teachers are teaching it it was a It's one of those times in history where if I didn't live through it myself, I don't know that I believe that it actually happened. You know, if you look at current events and what's happening today, you know, we have an acting AG who is going before a hearing. It's expected to be contentious, to say the least. If I'm a Republican on that Judiciary Committee and talking to Todd Blanche today, I would simply post questions.

that relate to the Jack Smith. I'd say, how many times did you wiretap Joe Biden or his chief of staff? How many times did you wiretap? Well, Hunter Biden may be the exception to the rule. Needed to be wired. But how many times did you listen in on recordings of Biden administration officials? How many times have you committed that act? against Democrats and frame it that way and just constantly throw Jack Smith back in their faces. Oh, and somebody in the Ron Paul comment section has got a screenshot. Evening two will feature Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Stacey Abrams, the rightful governor of Georgia. She hasn't lost yet. Captain Scott Kelly. We're not going to... And then the headliner, Jack Smith. Jack Smith is going to come on stage and brag about how he really did have the goods on Donald Trump and Congress refused to act. What's the date of that series? I don't, you know, exactly. He may be in jail by then. They may have to find a new keynote speaker. Jack Smith may be in cuffs at that point. Again, I joke because unfortunately, we don't see cuffs put on Democrats when they do. violent, or not violent, but in this instance, blatant violations of the law. And I'm hoping that Ray and Paul will start. I mean, he's one of the victims here. But I'd like to hear from more of these people. Where, you know, Mike Pence has been looking for somebody to listen to him for, you know, several years now. This would be an opportunity for Mike Pence to actually get, you know, in front of some cameras where people would actually listen to him. He should be condemning this violently or vocally. We need to get more people out in front of this because this is ridiculous. What the Biden administration did should never have happened and it can't be allowed to be repeated. This is such an abuse of power and completely anti-constitutional behavior. I'm glad to, you know, thankfully that it's starting to come out into the open. We'll see if it's a disinfectant or not. I'm looking at the list of some of the lawmakers who were listed as having their communications accessed by Jack Smith. Cory Booker's on that list. There are several Democrats who are on that list. Shouldn't they be just as outraged as Republicans? You know, I wonder. That would be a head turner if Cory Booker said. Who is Jack Smith to listen in on my private communications? I'd love that. But he probably would say, I granted him full of me. I have nothing to hide. I broadcast my phone calls to the world if it was possible. But anyway, yeah, good point.

We're just broadcasting to our friends in the low country and the Midlands. It's not bad news for us. It's unfortunately Greenville and Myrtle Beach. have become two of the worst towns in America for bedbugs. Oh, that's not a reputation you want. No. And this is numerous years in a row for Greenville. And I don't know why that would happen. But they, Myrtle Beach, they suspect, because it's a vacation destination that people are actually inadvertently bringing them from their state wherever they are. By the way, Ohio, worst state in America. for bedbugs and they bring them in to Myrtle Beach and then they leave them behind for us to enjoy. How many Ohio residents do we have that come here every year? Oh, a ton. I had a theory years ago when I first moved here and I started meeting all the people from Ohio that they had originally planned to move to Florida, but they got here after a day and they spent the night and they said, eh, Florida's too far away. I'll just stay here. It's nice here. It's good enough here. This is good enough. You know, if this is, I had not ever battled a bed bug before. Apparently it's a brutal infestation when you get one. But they do, here's a big tip. When you go on vacation. They say try to keep your clothes off the floor, keep, you know, those types of things. But also, when you get home, put your dryer safe clothes. Just don't even unpack. Just dump them right into the dryer and let them sit there for about 45 minutes on high. Of course, your shirts will come out about the size of an infant, but you will have killed all the bedbugs. And apparently one of the fallacies is you can kill them with a hair dryer. You can't kill. They say that the bed bugs are able to, you'll get them out of the bed or whatever, but you're not going to kill them. They're just going to go hide under the carpet or something and then come back and start biting you at night. That's how you usually know. And if you're there longer than a day or two in places like Greenville or Myrtle Beach. Hate to smirch them, but if you're there longer than that, you probably wake up with a few bites and you know you're in for something. I don't think I've ever been bitten by bedbugs. Though I will admit, when I used to travel a lot for business, I was a little bit crazy the way I would prepare for bed. I would wear socks, sweatpants that were tucked into my socks, a t-shirt tucked into my sweatpants. So the only thing that was basically exposed were my hands.

neck and head. That was it. If they were going to get me, that was the only place they were going to get me, but I don't remember ever getting gotten. And I think I would have remembered that. I used to, I mean, it was the first move I made when I got into a hotel room is I would, you know, sling the luggage on the bed. My wife will not let me do that. One of her rules is you never put your luggage on the hotel bed. Really? Because, you know, that's where it starts. So, but you're going to get in that bed. Well, that's true. Yeah. They may wind up with you one way or another, but she's convinced we're not taking them back with us in our luggage. Yeah, well, that's a, look, if you have to suffer at a hotel for a night or two, I guess that's one thing. But like you say, once they get into your house, that can be a massive problem, apparently. So anyway, be on the lookout, especially if you're heading to Myrtle Beach or Greenville for like a day trip or whatever. Be careful. It was destroyed. My concerns about this is that I heard Donald Trump in the top of the hour news break talking about these attacks will continue till I say they'll stop. perfect. However, he followed that up by saying, and until we can get some serious negotiations, you're never going to get serious negotiations from the IRGC. And it doesn't matter who's at the table. It's the IRGC. They are the ones carrying out all of this. And their goal is not to be comfortable. Their goal is not to make a lot of money. Their goal is not to have peace. None of that is their goal. Their only goal in life is to overthrow the West and or just the entire world and get the world prepared for the return of the 12th Emon so that we can have, you know.

Shangri-La or whatever that it's being preached. They're going to lie, cheat, do whatever they can in order to keep power. So I don't know how many times to say it. Unique different ways, but we've got to kill the IRGC. I mean, Trump said yesterday the memorandum of understanding that negotiation that was going on, JD Vance went all the way over for that. He says now it was just a test and that Iran failed. Why does he think it would be different the next time around? Exactly. You're not, the value systems that we have on life are different than the value systems that they have on life. And you can't. get them to overlap. The way they look at everything is different than the way we look at it. And it's, with that old phrase, when somebody tells you who they are, believe them. And the Iranians are telling you over and over again, we don't value peace. We don't care about prosperity. They could have had peace and prosperity. literally at any time over the past 47 years, they saw what was happening in Qatar. They saw what was happening in the UAE. They chose to not follow that path. They don't want it. They want... just complete radical Islam rule around the world. So I'm happy to see these videos that are being posted now. Like I said, they just started posting about five minutes ago on social media. So I'll retweet some of them if you follow me on social media. But I want to see a lot more of it. We have a Canadian who was allowed into the U.S. in 2025, and I think she got married when she got down here into some guy in New Jersey. She was celebrating the 4th of July in Point Pleasant Beach Boardwalk, New Jersey. July 3rd, when she saw, according to police in their report, she took exception with three minors. That's all they're listed as. We don't know their ages. We just know that they're minors for wearing patriotic colored sweatpants. And one individual who was wearing a Trump t-shirt and another one was wearing an ice t-shirt. She filmed herself, Caitlin E. Tracy, filmed herself walking up. and smacking the underage girl in the face. Wow. And I guess thought this was a heroic deed that she had done as a Canadian who's now trying to adopt America as her new home. And she was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction. And now there are people around this country who are fundraising for this woman for her legal costs. How about fundraise for the underage girl she had? I'm trying to, you know, it's, I hate to do the what aboutisms, but what about if somebody was wearing a Kamala Harris T-shirt and we walked up and smacked them in the face? And I would never encourage anybody to smack anybody in the face. That is a, you've already lost the argument if you're now smacking, but why would you go after a, someone who is a, I'm going to guess is probably about 14 or 15. That would be my guess if they're listed as a minor. And just started yelling at them and then smacked them in the face and then filmed herself doing it and apparently posted it somewhere. She was proud of it. Yes. Are you shocked? It is a little shocking. All right, good. My shock meter is not completely out of whack. No, no. I mean, I think every day you see people do things on social media and you're just, you're so surprised that they would, A, do it and then B, put it out there and take pride in it and think, okay, I'm going to get a lot of clicks, but I'm proud of what I did. I want to show the world what I did. Her husband, the American, um, I'm going to, look, he's made a TikTok video of himself, I guess, in their home. He's got one of those John Gacy paintings as a clown behind him. Ooh, that's creepy right there. That right there tells me you have some sort of mental disorder. If you're collecting John Gacy paintings, you're not right in the head. But he's basically the one leading the fundraiser saying, my wife is trying to be a great American and defend all American values. Are you defending them from 14-year-olds? Assaulting 14-year-olds? And by the way, the 14-year-old is wearing a pro-Trump shirt, okay? That is who the president of the United States is, and a pro-ice shirt, which is an arm of enforcement.

in the United States. It's like wearing a U.S. Marine shirt, a U.S. Army shirt. We are proud of these people. This is anti-American behavior. I don't care which side of the issue you come down on it. We should all support our military and our law enforcement officials, even though we have a bunch of leftist loons who continue to say they're a terrorist mob or whatever. And they've got the health care system that trumps ours, et cetera. Yeah. Bill Maher did a great piece on how the government up there has ruined Canada. And if you look at unemployment, if you look at almost every statistic, you know, we're killing them. Oh, yes. And yet everyone continues to hold Canada up as, okay, this is what we should aspire to be. I forget which province it is because I don't really pay that much attention to Canada, but it's like one of the provinces is continually having these votes to try to secede from Canada. Can we get out of kids? Because they're the only ones who actually produce stuff. Apparently they're the production manufacturing hub. I'm going to guess it's somewhere near Detroit. That would be my guess. And they're like, we've got to get away from these loons. They're taking all of our money and just giving it to these crazy socialist activities. So anyway. And this is just another sad update on the radicalization of the left because... The people on the right, I know that they like to talk about right-wing extremism and all that sort of stuff, but the right-wingers are not the ones that are going and getting in front of their houses, even when it's something that the right-wing extremely disapproves of. It is the left that's doing it. And, you know, even Elena Kagan is being threatened by the left when she votes with the majority. So it's one thing to hold a protest on the steps of the Supreme Court building. It's another. to stalk these justices as they go home at night. And why have we not launched a security business? Because that apparently is the gig to be in. There you go. The justices are asking for $225.1 million for next year for security. Well, security and other things to go through. But I actually believe every word they're saying that their lives are now in danger, or as Jack Nicholson said, grave danger, is there any other kind? Every time they leave the building because we have radicalized so much of America. And this is horrible that we have to do this. But yes, I think we need to approve this. We need to make sure that the justices are safe. What other options do you have? They get a ruling, quote unquote, wrong by mob standards and we lose them. That would be the nuttiest of nutty things.
