She sings, she dances, she acts. I'm waiting by the door for my Pulitzer. She sounds hideous. She's just the worst. Yeah, she's a whack-up. She is, she is the devil. Now here's the millennial with the mic. He still leaves me both breathless and speechless. I love her. I love her. She is the best. Something will ask you to say grace. Grace Curley. Great! Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Grace Curley show. Happy hump day. Hop day! To everybody listening, I really appreciate it. We've got a ton of stuff to get to. It's a very busy news day. It's always a very busy news day, but I really like some of these stories today. Not the first one, the first one having to do with Virginia. We will get to that later in the show. Virginia voting in support of one of the most egregious and blatant gerrymandering referendums of all time. This is an all-timer, changing the representation, as plenty of people have learned at this point. changing the representation in the purple state of Virginia from six Dems and five Republicans to 10 Democrats and one lonesome Republican. One is the loneliest number. And now the governor who ran as a moderate, I don't feel sympathy for people who believe she was a moderate. I really, if you're one of these normies or one of these like, oh, I'm on the fence, I don't really know where I stand and you're falling for this stuff from Democrats. Who needs you? You are a suckers, sucker. And she is saying that this is a temporary measure. You know, I saw her on CNN this morning. You know how long she went for, Taylor on CNN with Wolf Blitzer? I saw a cut of this lady. Over two minutes long, and I'm pacing, I'm kind of going through the cut trying to find the break, like where he asked a new question. No new question. He let her talk for two minutes and 15 seconds, explaining away how, you know, this isn't unfair to the Republicans, and they shouldn't feel like they, you know, got screwed over by this because we're fighting Trump, so that makes it okay that we're trying to do this. And I thought, I...
You'll never see a Republican get on CNN and be able to talk for two minutes straight. You wouldn't see a Republican. A Republican can't go on that program and talk for 20 seconds without an Abby Phillip or a Wolf Blitzer saying, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. But Virginia governor. The old Dominion Governor Abigail Spanberger, she can go and go and go and go and really give no answer as to why this is okay. I can tell you why it's okay. It's okay because when they want to steal elections, when they want to rig elections, when they want to overthrow democracy, they can do it because the ends justify the means. But they're about to throw Hakeem Jeffries, by the way, low IQ Hakeem Jeffries, as Trump calls him. I think that's pretty dead on. He's already bitching and moaning about Florida. They better not try to redistrict. They better not try to change the map. Why? What? You just finished taking a victory lap over this 10 to 1 map. And now you're going to lecture us? I don't think so. That's rich even for Hakeem Jeffries. So that's all in the news. We've got updates for you on what's happening here in Massachusetts budget cuts. The budget cuts are coming for the hats again, Taylor. The hats seem to be. a huge victim of this budget deficit in Boston. And I'm here to tell people, Mayor Wu, she might be an ally to the LGBTQ plus community. She might claim to be an ally to the Irish community and to the Dunkin' Donuts community and every other community. But you know what community she's not for? Hats. The Hatted? She is anti-Hat. She is not an ally. If you're someone who likes a hat, I personally can't wear hats. You can't wear hats or you won't wear hats? I can't. I think we've had this conversation. Is it something because your hair is too thin or something? Like it just slides off. I beg your pardon. I've got the thickest hair known to man. You take that back, sir. You take that back, you serpent tongue. No, I have very thick, luscious hair, just like you. Just like you. You're not the only one, okay, who's got thick hair at the Howie Car Radio Network. No, I can't wear them because my head's too big. It's just too big. They make hats for people with big heads. Yeah, but you know what? They never sit right. Like some people can wear a hat and it looks good. I put a hat on and it just, it always looks a bit odd. And I'm okay with that. So I've given up on hats, but I don't, but I still, you know what, Taylor? Just because I can't wear them, I still stand with the community.
I'm still here fighting for your rights to wear hats. Mayor Wu, not so much. So we're going to talk about the latest budget crunch and who it's coming for. But I want to start today. Oh, and of course, we will get to Iran, the blockade. He flew right into your head. Like he couldn't avoid it. Yeah, yeah. I always think about when I put a hat on, it's like Danny DeVito and Matilda. It just, it's like my head's about to pop. But we also are going to talk about Iran, the blockade, what's going on with this regime that can't seem to get their act together enough to make a deal. And I'm starting to get sick of it. I'm starting to really just hope that Trump says, forget it. He's been teasing that. Like no more Mr. Nice guy. We're running out of time. We don't want to do this anymore. I say enough. Enough with talk. Talk is cheap. And talk from these people, from these mullahs, from these Ayatollahs, cardboard or not. is dirt cheap. So I'm over it. I think that we got to start, you know, we got to start hitting some of this infrastructure. I know it's going to hurt the people there that we are trying to help, but we have to start hitting the military, their military, where it hurts. And that's going to be bridges. That's going to be, you know, maybe Carg Island. I don't know exactly what they're planning on doing, but they got to do something. I'm getting, I'm getting a little impatient here. Not because I don't believe in the mission, not because I think that we need to panic because of gas prices or anything like that. I'm just seeing, as we've all been seeing, a pattern on how this regime works. And so we will get to that. We'll talk about John Kerry, of all people. It's like the Democrats, Taylor. I was thinking about this today. It's like they look at a situation, right? And they say, who's a person who is living? in a glass house in this scenario and should be the last person on the planet to open their mouths about it and also the oldest person imaginable that also meets that criteria yes yes they have to be a dinosaur that that's kind of a requirement as well but it's like who can we find who is the last person who should talk about this let's send them on Stephen Colbert Like who's someone who, if anyone is watching, they're pulling their hair out going, this guy's going to lecture me on Iran, the guy who is an architect of the Iranian deal where Barack Obama unleashed billions of dollars to this regime and kick the can down the road so that they could get more nuclear capabilities, this guy's going to lecture me on it? Come on now. You almost look around and you go, am I getting punk? This has got to be a joke, right? This has to be a prank. But I also, what I really want to kick off this first hour with, and this story to me is truly amazing. And I hope you guys have been following it a little bit. It's going to, the more we find out, the more interesting it gets. The Southern Poverty Law Center, that's what we're starting with today. And they've described themselves as a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy. Well, they have been indicted for, among other things, there's 11 charges in this indictment, secretly funneling more than $3 million to the racist extremists they claim to be fighting against. Now, how does that work? You know what I would compare this to?
It's like when we're having a primary and Democrat groups fund the most loony-tune Republican they can so that they can then, in the general... beat that person. So they find a candidate where they're like, oh, this person could win a primary, but there's no way they'll beat us in the general, and they just dump a lot of money into that person. It's a really slimy thing to do. In this case, though, it goes so far beyond that. You are sitting around telling us how racist America is, but as Katie Pavlich explained... America wasn't racist enough. They had to pump $3 million into these racist groups so they could keep, so they didn't kill the job of dismantling racism. It's an amazing, amazing story. So let me give you some of the details here. This is from Red State. The Trump DOJ dropped a bombshell. An 11-count federal indictment charging the SPLC with wire fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering for secretly funneling more than $3 million in donor cash to actual extremists. Among those nefarious payments was a staggering $270,000, allegedly paid to a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. And yes, that is the very fine people hoax. I mean, come on. I've, over the years, Taylor, people have said things to me about how bad these Democrats are. And trust me, I'm in it every day. I'm up to my ears with this nonsense. But sometimes when people would go a little, you know, hate to even use this word right now, a little extreme and be like, and they plan this, and they plan that, I'd be like, well, I don't know, I don't know. There's a lot of nuts out there. I don't know how much planning you have to do. There's plenty of grades of people. I stand corrected. Just when you think you know how bad these Democrats are, they get so much worse. Give me acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. He stepped in since Pam Bondi has... been kicked to the curb. This is Todd Blanche, cut five. I want to make sure I understand you're alleging that the Southern Poverty Law Center was paying the leaders of KKK and other groups to continue. their operations? Is that... I'm not alleging it. The grand jury return in an indictment that says that. And so what the investigation found, according to the indictment that was returned today, is that they were paying... So the Southern Poverty Law Center is raising money, asking folks to give them money to dismantle racism. And over a very long period of time, they were using some of the money they raised from donors to pay to... They called them field, you know, basically to informants.
to for information, for access, to just pay them for certain, to do certain things. And so yes, that's exactly what the indictment charges. This is amazing. This is this was all concocted. They were paying to create this, unite the right, very fine people hoax. They created it so that they could use it against Trump. And they, and oh boy, did they? Did they use it against him at every single turn? And the media only admitted. that the entire thing was a hoax years later when it no longer seemed like it was going to be a problem when it was convenient for them But my God, let's do some flashbacks here. I don't even want to do the very fine people flashback because you all know what it was. Trump was saying, hey, there were people, there were some people here. I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis. He made it a point because he knew it was going to be taken out of context. Didn't matter. Did not matter. They did it anyway. But take a listen to this is Kamala Harris. This is how recent this hoax that was funded by the SPLC was being used on the political. stage. This is a 2024 flashback, a debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, cut three. Let's remember Charlottesville, where there was a mob of people carrying tiki torches, spewing anti-Semitic hate. And what did the president then at the time say? There were fine people on each side. Liar. Absolute liar. And F-37 was secretly paid. So this is the informant. F-37 was a member of the online leadership chat group that planned the 2017 Unite the Right Rally and attended the event at the direction of the SPLC. F-37 made racist postings under the supervision of the SPLC and helped coordinate transportation to the event for several attendees. They paid F-37. one of the cast and crew as red state put it more than 270 thousand dollars and you know what their excuses taylor they're there the line that they're running with Oh, informants. Yeah, we were trying to infiltrate. We were trying to infiltrate. That's not your job to infiltrate. Bonchie said, do I have to explain this to people like they're four years old? They're not a law enforcement agency. Right. You're taking a big risk there when you start going, hey, we're going to pay people $270,000 to just pretend. This is like when people get caught.
It's the classic, like, I was just doing research. No, it's Don Lemon. He claims to be a journalist, but then he infiltrates a church and said, oh, I was just doing journalism. No, you're an activist, dude. Yeah, you are the problem. No, but they're saying, oh, no, we were just trying to like understand them more by infiltrating. If that holds up infiltrating, you know how often people are going to use that from now on? Oh, no, no, no. I'm not a part of this. I was just trying to infiltrate. It's like, what do you think you are an FBI agent? You're not. This is the biggest story of the day, in my opinion. And if anyone disagrees, call in and challenge me. But my God, we... I thought the Charlottesville thing was bad enough just because they lied about what Trump's comments were about it. I didn't realize that the entire thing was ginned up by them in the first place. I mean, it makes you think how many other things have been, were, and will be. It's, it's, you really can't trust anything, any news story. You really, anything that's supposedly natural and organic. Yeah, you cannot trust it. And it's not going to find. And thank God. Thank God, Grace, that the DOJ is finally getting down to who is funding some of these things, who is inspiring some of these things to take. This is an actual result. It's not a huge. I mean, it's a huge in the way that it is a story and Charlottesville and the whole very fine people hoax. That's huge. The dollar amount's not huge. There were never really any major arrests out of this. That's not exactly huge. But the whole just premise of it is huge that we're getting to something here. They were just paying to infiltrate the groups. They were just paying to infiltrate. Infiltrate their... What are you doing? I know you guys don't like Kash Patel, but it doesn't mean you can just decide that you're the FBI. And of course, it's just a lie that, like, USA Today and other groups are running with, pretending that they don't understand why this is such a ridiculous excuse. But another thing, Taylor, is doesn't it make you look back on everything that we were told was so crazy? I know the obvious things like COVID and everything. But... they're still hammering on about the 2020 election. And even yesterday with Kevin Warsh, Elizabeth Warren's like, do you admit that Trump lost the election? I'm starting to look back on that and going, where do you guys get the Cajonais to tell us? Yeah, maybe it's annoying, but maybe he's right to keep complaining about it. Yeah, yeah. I feel like... It is annoying, but maybe he's right. Yeah, but you're going to sit there on your high horse and be like, you believe in this crazy conspiracy. Look at this! Look at this. This was a crazy conspiracy theory that you push and you guys paid for. We'll be right back. You got a big head. It's too big for your body. The Grace Curley Show will return.
This is the Grace Curley Show. You had people, and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, okay? Yeah, I'm just going to read this. This is a quick summary from Rusty Bari Weiss. Red State's been doing a lot of good reporting on this. The SPLC. funded a planner for the event, that event that spurred on so much, supervised his racist postings, provided transportation for attendees, and ultimately helped light the fuse that led to the death of one woman. The media then got a deceptively edited soundbite from the president to portray him as a Nazi supporter. Joe Biden would use the entire hoax to justify his running for president in 2020 and ultimately winning. And that's what we're looking at right now. They created this problem. They funded it. They egged it on. They made it worse. They celebrated it. And then they used it to attack Trump so that he would lose in 2020. And so, yeah, when people complain to me, oh, it's true socials, oh, and this and that, and this and that, this and that, this guy. has had every single thing against him, and he's still standing, baby. We'll be right back. We've got a special guest coming up next. The Grace Curley Show is on the air. Welcome back, everyone, to The Grace Curley Show. You know, Paul Morrow just had a great point, Taylor, that kind of goes along with what we were just talking about, with, you know, it makes you think, this SPLC, Southern Poverty Law story makes you wonder about other things. It makes you wonder, are we just pulling at a piece of yarn here? Is the entire ball going to be unraveled? What does he say in Zoolander? Keep tugging at the sweater. The entire thing will unravel. I'm looking at this story, and I'm going, once again, I think I'm Pauliana. Once again, I think I'm naive. Once again, I think I've given people too much credit for not being diabolical in the way they're going about this. And it's a, if it's a wake-up call for me, Little Miss sitting on my, sitting at my microphone for my radio show. I hope it's a wake up call for these weak need Republicans who get pushed around all the time and who don't want to do anything. They don't want to abolish the filibuster. And, you know, I understand to a degree. But as Howie says, like, they're debating philosophy at the Bill Gates when the entire castle's about to be stormed. You've got to realize these Dems. They're not just playing dirty. They're playing in a way that most of us can't even wrap our heads around. That's how bad it is. And so if you're sitting there and you're going back and forth on like legalese and, you know, we want to make sure that we're not hypocrites and we do this right. We play by the rules.
You better wake up. And you can use that on a lot of different stories right now. You can use it with the redistricting in Virginia. You can use it a million things. But when you look at the fact that they're funding this nonsense that then they turn around and use against us, not just to ding us up, but to beat us in elections, in presidential elections. It does make you wonder. And Paul Morrow, because I just went on a tangent there, he suggested Taylor on Fox that it does make you question. If anyone's looked into the SPLC in January 6th. That's a very good point. Very, very interesting. Joining us now, and I'm so excited we were able to pull this off at the last minute here, Senior Legal Fellow at Advancing American Freedom, and that would be the one and only Hans von Spakovsky. Hans, thanks so much for coming on the show. Oh, sure. Well, thanks for inviting me. Yeah, let me tell you, the indictment makes for very interesting reading against the Southern Poverty Law Center. And I got to say, if what they're saying in there is correct, the SPLC is in very big trouble. Walk me through that, Hans. Like, what is standing out to you? I know that there's 11 charges here. This is a huge indictment. But what sticks out to you about it? Well, they're, I mean, it's basically a fraud indictment, but it includes money laundering, wire fraud, false statements to a bank, et cetera. And in essence, what they're saying, the SPLC did is, remember, they go to their donors and raise money saying, well, we're out here to stop white supremacy, extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan. But what they secretly then did with their toner's money was they funneled $3 million. $3 million in their donor funds to informants inside these organizations, the Ku Klux Klan, the American Nazi Party, Aryan Nation, I mean, just one club after another like this. And it wasn't just, you know, the kind of confidential informants that, for example, the FBI uses. They were, they were funneling this money to the leadership, to people who are actually organizing. organizing these groups, their violent protests, including the one that occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia, out by the University of Virginia, and to hide the money, they opened up bank accounts under fictitious entities and then used that to basically launder. the donor money they were getting to then then pay these these horrible races. I mean, it's quite something.
Yeah, and the excuse that we're seeing from Democrats, it seems like the line right now that we're getting from them is, oh, well, the Southern, the SPLC was trying to infiltrate. I can't even say it, Hans, with a straight face. They were trying to infiltrate these hate groups so that they could, you know, like understand. It's like in one of those movies where they... the cop tries to get into the mind of the serial killer. We have to infiltrate the groups so we can stop racism and safeguard democracy. Do you think that passes the smell test? I mean, that is a dumb defense. If you want to understand these groups, all I've got to do is go to their website and see the kind of postings, racist postings and other things that they have. I mean, part of the crime here, and this is outlined in the indictment, again, is that the funds, the $3 million they were using, those groups then were committing all kinds of state and federal crimes. And the money... helped to pay for that. So they don't really have a defense of any kind based on the claim that, oh, they were just trying to get information on these groups in order to facilitate law enforcement. That clearly is not what we're going on. You know what it looks? Go ahead. Let me tell you what it looks like they were doing. Look, look, they raise money. by scaring donors into thinking that we are a country of racist, that racism is on the rise. And that's simply not true. I mean, that kind of hate has been steadily decreasing this country for decades, for generations, which makes it harder for them to raise money. So instead, they're funneling money to these groups to actually help them, to fuel. the racist actions they were taking. Why? Because that then helps them raise money. Well, but beyond that, Hans, I mean, you're absolutely right that they use it to fundraise. But beyond that, when I look at Charlottesville, and I mean, there's been so many things that have happened since. So sometimes you forget how impact. that was and how that haunted Trump and how it took years for the media to admit that they took them out of context now to find out that not only was was it based off fake news and a fake edited clip but that the entire thing was inorganic I mean this to me is one of the biggest stories that I've seen in a long time Oh, no, I agree. And it really tells you, look, we've known now for a long time just how bad this organization is. This really tops it off and is an organization that I hope.
I hope this criminal indictment finally breaks up and ends the existence of one of the worst organizations in the country. Yeah, I want to read you a quote here. And this is in Newsweek because a lot of these media organizations that were, you know, working so hand in hand, I think, with this entire orchestrated thing when it comes to Charlottesville. They're now running cover. It should be a surprise to no one for the SPLC. And they have a quote here from the interim president, Brian Fair, who said, the organization believes its former informant program played a critical role in preventing harm and defending vulnerable communities. This program, this is fair, this program saved lives, adding that the group will defend ourselves, our staff, and our work while it continues its efforts to combat hate and pursue what he described as a more just and multiracial democracy. And the way they're trying to save democracy and combat hate is to fund these racist, crazy people so that they'll go out and start trouble. I have to ask you, though, Hans. The informant program, they're really trying to pass this off like it's a normal thing that groups do. Is this normal? Do other non-law enforcement agencies typically pay $270,000 to informants to infiltrate hate groups? No. No, that's what's so bizarre about their defense of that. No, it is not normal. Look, I've been in a nonprofit world now for quite a while. that nobody does that kind of thing they just don't do it and and the excuse he's giving just doesn't hold water again when you go through and you read read the indictment particularly the look if that's the case why were they sending up setting up fictitious bank accounts You know, that doesn't wash when they're clearly laundering the money that their donors are giving to them. You know what pisses me off, Hans, is when you see this indictment and you see what's in there, and a lot of it just seems like, as you said, they're in a lot of trouble. The way that it's presented in the news is as if Todd Blanche put his own spin on it and kind of came up with this stuff on his own. He's claiming, Todd Blanche is alleging. Todd Blanche says, and it's all under the guise of like, if you take what he says seriously, I mean, I don't think they stand a chance based off what I'm seeing here. This was a grand jury, okay? This was not Todd Blanche spring criminal charges. This was a grand jury indictment. So you had 11 citizens.
in Alabama who heard the evidence. And people say Alabama, well, that's because that's where they're headquarters. You had 11 citizens who heard the evidence, and they decided that an indictment was warranted. I don't seem to remember people questioning other indictments like that that were going on during the Biden administration that were returned by grand juries. Do you? No, no, I don't. And I have to ask you, the SPLC, as we know, it's not a law enforcement agency, despite what you might read about their infiltration operations and their informants. It's a nonprofit civil rights organization. And this has kind of got me wondering. And I just saw Paul Morrow say this on Fox about January 6th, like whether the SPLC had any involvement in January 6th. But I kind of would zoom out a little bit, Hans, and say, Is this something that perhaps if there's more, like looking under the hood, more of these groups of these nonprofits doing this? I mean, oftentimes I find that when a big story breaks like this, you're not catching it the first time. You're catching it after it's been happening quite a few times. And so could this be part of how the Democrats operate on a larger scale? The answer to that, unfortunately, is yes. And one of the reasons for that is that the amount of money in the nonprofit world, particularly the nonprofit advocacy world, the left side of political aisle has exponentially more money. that they funnel to these kind of organizations than on the conservative side. And it wouldn't surprise me to know that other organizations have been involved in things like that. Look, there are plenty of stories. You can Google these of protests that have happened in Washington, D.C., where, of course, my office is where when conservative... uh... journalists actually have gone to try to interview some of the protesters out there have discovered that they're being paid to do it and where's that money coming from well from liberal uh... nonprofit groups Yeah, and now I'm starting to look back and some of my listeners are pointing out that Joe Biden kept talking about that, you know, white supremacy was the greatest threat. And, you know, they continued on. We just played a cut of Kamala Harris in 2024 during the debate bringing up Charlottesville. And I always thought it was kind of weird that even after the media and, you know, albeit it took them, you know, years to admit that they were lying about it, even after they admitted they were lying about it, Biden and Kamala Harris kept. saying it over and over again. And I was like, why don't they just drop it? Like it's not working anymore. And now I'm starting to think,
Well, they know how much money was spent on it. It's like anything else. You know, you pay for a sweater or something. You want to get a certain amount of wares out of it. It's like, hey, we spent a lot of money trying to concoct this elaborate hoax. And it worked for a while. So let's kind of beat the dead horse as much as we can. Hans von Spakovsky. I thank you, sir, for coming on. I really appreciate it. I hope we can have you on again soon. And if you want to find out more about Hans, actually, Hans, why don't you tell people where they can find? find out more about you. I know you're the senior legal fellow at advancing American freedom, but give yourself a nice plug here. Sure. Well, I'm also on exit at H. Von Spakovsky, and they can find, whatever I publish, I always talk about it there. And I actually just released a podcast about this big Supreme Court case being argued next week on the temporary protected status of all these aliens who are in the country that the president's trying to end. Well, hopefully we can get you on next week on that very topic. I appreciated Hans. Thanks again. I know it was the last minute, and I really, really am grateful you made the time. We'll come back. We're going to keep digging into this. We're going to play some old cuts. But Taylor, that part of it for me is really humorous. It's like I was looking at Kamala Harris going, that's the best you can do. I mean, it's been how many years since Charlottesville and the media now? You even have like CNN and stuff saying that it was. debunked that it was fake that yeah we sorry we ran with the story for so long but turns out it's not true why is she still going with it and it's like it's reminding me of when i buy a piece of clothing and maybe i don't like it anymore or maybe i i've decided it's not that great but i got to take it out for a spin every once in a while because I'm frugal, and I want to get that bang for my buck. And if you're spending $3 million on this crap to try to make Trump look bad, and the first time you wear it out, you get a lot of compliments, you keep coming back to it. I'll throw it on for one more dinner. Who cares? You know, I spent a good amount of money on this. This is the same thing. They were like, hey, it worked. Let's keep doing it. And then even after, it didn't work anymore. You still got to trot it out. You still got to give it a go. I am. I know how dirty these Dems are. I swear I do. I'm not that naive. I'm naive, but I'm not that naive. But this is on another level. Gird your loins, Republicans. John Thune and Johnson and all these guys. Do you see what we are dealing with? And to anyone who I've ever said, eh, I don't know about that. That seemed a little crazy. I apologize. I'm going to come out here and say, my bad. That one's on me because the tentacles and the depths that a lot of these schemes go to is kind of beyond my imagination, I guess. We'll be right back. We're going to keep talking about it.
