He's the program director at my flagship station, WSP, and I'm going to focus on a hyper-local Georgia story that's relevant to every single one of you in the United States of America. It actually is. The communists are coming with George Soros' Alex Soros' millions and millions of dollars. So let me explain this one to you, for all of you nationally. In Georgia, there's something called the Public Service Commission, and it oversees and regulates, like the phone company, the power company, things like that. And Democrats filed a lawsuit. in federal court claiming that a structure was unconstitutional because there are members of the Public Service Commission are divided into service regions that basically mirror the congressional districts, kind of. But then they're elected statewide, so you've got to be from a region of the state, but it's a statewide vote. Now, the Democrats are the ones who imposed the structure you should know. And for years, it benefited the Democrats and shut out the Republicans. But now that it benefits the Republicans, the Democrats have naturally declared it unconstitutional, and they went to court. And actually, the courts threw out the lawsuit. But in the process of throwing out the lawsuit, they couldn't have an election last year. So the election for the Georgia Public Service Commission has been put off until November of this year. In fact, it'll be the only statewide races, which means it will be the very first elections. There are two seats. It is a partisan controlled entity, so there are two Republicans, Fitzjohnsen and Tim Eccles. They will be the first two candidates on the ballot, and then a bunch of cities, including Atlanta, Georgia. which means that the Democratic turnout in the state will be about 54 to 55 percent because it's municipal elections. A lot of them heavily Democratic areas. The Republicans control the Public Service Commission, but because this is an unusual time to have a statewide election in Georgia, they typically come in the even-numbered years, and statewide elections are always in the midterm election season, not the presidential election season. You can have a lot of Republicans who don't know they're going to go vote in November. And the Democrats know this. The far left knows this. And far left groups led by Alex Soros's millions of dollars have decided it is time for the communist takeover of the southeast power grid. And I say that intentionally because Georgia just built the first nuclear power plant in this nation in a generation.

The left fought the building of the nuclear power plant. And they claimed it was about cost overruns. And by the way, there were a lot of cost overruns. The plant, plant Vogel, it's called, by Georgia Powers, the first nuclear power plant built in the United States in a generation. And we as a country had lost institutionally all the memory. of how to build a nuclear power plant. They were going to build one over in South Carolina. Westinghouse was going to build a nuclear power plant in South Carolina. Westinghouse would bankrupt. That nuclear power plant never got built. And the Georgia Public Service Commission actually decided it was for the long-term good, not of the state, but of the country, to build the nuclear power plant. Why? Because Russia and China are about to build more than 15 nuclear power plants. They have the engineers, and they have the institutional knowledge. It's been so long in this country since we built a nuclear power plant. All of the people who knew how to build them were either dead or retired. They literally, to build this nuclear power plant in Georgia, had to pay people to come out of retirement. who knew how to build nuclear power plants to train the people to build the nuclear power plant. And the Georgia Public Service Commission, I think very wisely, despite all the cost overrun, said this is actually needed. We need to learn how to build nuclear power plants again in this country. Now we've got one. Thanks to their wisdom. But the left fought it because the left insisted that Georgia needed windmills and solar panels and renewable energy. Georgia Power Company in Georgia has a number of coal-burning power plants. They've shut some down, some they haven't. All the lakes in Georgia are man-made. Georgia, I didn't know this, but every major lake in the state of Georgia's man-made, it doesn't actually have natural lakes. And the biggest lakes in the state were made by Georgia Power, the power company of the state. Lake Burton flows into Lake... Rabin, which flows down in the Chattahoochee, and you eventually get down into Lake Lanier, which was the Corps of Engineering Project for Water, but you've got Lake O'Conney, you've got Lake Sinclair, you've got Lake Alitone. All these are dammed lakes by power companies to generate hydroelectric power and also water for the coal burning plants to generate steam, Lake Juliette and others. And the left wants to get rid of all the coal power plants. They don't want the nuclear power plants. They want wind and solar in Georgia. Now, I don't know if y'all know this. Because many of you listening right now, thanks to the growth of the shows, you're not in Georgia. But in Georgia, every afternoon during the summer, we have rainstorms that produce a lot of clouds, and the solar energy output goes to zero. We also have hail in the storms. You know what hailstones do? Hailstones are pieces of ice, and they get big, and they fall out of the sky, and they hit the solar panels, and they smash them. And the solar panels break. And there are parts of the state where you just, there are days, you're not going to get a lot of wind.

And what the left has decided is that in Georgia we should get rid of our farmland. Georgia, you know, we're called the peach state, but our big crop is actually not peaches. South Carolina, you guys over in South Carolina listening right now, y'all actually produce more peaches now than Georgia. Georgia's number one crop is actually blueberries of all things. We produce more blueberries in Georgia than any other state. But we produce a lot of pecans. And peanuts, I'm sorry, pecans, my wife would say. I tell my wife all the time a pecan is something you flush, and she rolls her eyes at me and says, no. But we got pecans, we got peanuts, we got a lot of cotton, we're still the south, grow a lot of cotton. And you know the left solution to power is that we should get rid of the land on which we're growing the peanuts and the peaches and the pecans of the cotton, and we should put solar panels. Near me. is a thousand acres used to be farmland. They grew corn and raised cows. It's all gone now, solar panels. We took a lot of cows and crops out of commission to put in the solar panels. That's what the left wants. And they've seen an opportunity. Now, this has cascading effects for the rest of you. Why? Because Georgia has so much base load power. Base load power is the power that you can flip a switch and it comes on. We've got very near me. We've got a coal-burning power plant. I can see the smoke stacks from my house. We have the nuclear power plant. We've got a lot of coal-burning power plants in the state of Georgia. And you know where the excess power goes? It goes out to the power grid of the eastern United States, not just in Georgia. It can be directed outside the state of Georgia. And it supplements, as some states have gone to overabundance of wind and solar, Georgia's baseload power supplements other states. And the communists want California policies in Georgia. So for those of you who are listening, you need to understand what's happening is that led by Alex Soros and other left-wing groups. The California communists have realized that this is the perfect opportunity to take over control of Georgia's power grid in November. This election from last year was put off. Democrats are naturally going to outnumber Republicans going to the polls because they're municipal elections in the state of Georgia, including the city of Atlanta, the city of, I think, Augusta, Savannah, others. They're all going to be on the ballot. So Democrats will come out. The number one and number two races will be public service commission races on the ballot. And the Democrats will outnumber the Republicans at the polls. And they'll vote for the two outsiders, the two progressives who want to get rid of nuclear power, want to get rid of coal power, and actually want us to all use solar and wind power. They see it as an opportunity. Now, you should know back in the 1990s, the precursor indicator that Republicans were rising in Georgia was the Public Service Commission election. Two public service commissioners, one one year and one the next year, went to the Republicans. Now, Democrats typically don't vote down ballot.

I'm not sure what it is. This is meant to be racial, but it actually is true. Black voters studies have all shown typically don't vote all the way down the ballot. and that has given Republicans an advantage of the state of Georgia because a lot of these races like Public Service Commission, they're down at the bottom of the ballot. And so a Democratic voter, particularly a black voter in a city, will go in, they'll vote for the top of the races, they'll vote for the congressional races, and maybe for governor, and then they leave, and the Republicans stick and vote the whole ballot, and that's given Republicans some advantage. But here you're going to have these two races in Georgia at the very top of the ballot. Now, I know what some of your thing in there, Erics and I live in Florida. This doesn't matter to be. If you live at Jacksonville, Florida, guess what? You get some of your power flown over from Georgia. If you live up there in Southern Pines, North Carolina, you do too. Those of you in Birmingham, you're impacted because Georgia Power and Alabama Power are both part of the Southern Company, and they share resources. Those of you out in California listening in Sacramento right now, hi Bill. Do you guys know what's coming? You know what's coming if the Democrats win these two seats. The Public Service Commission, Georgia, they've been very open about it. They're not afraid. They think they've got it in the bag. They think they're winning. And they want greater regulation. They want to change the regulations that have incentivized baseload power in Georgia for wind and solar power. They want to drive up regulations on the power companies and the phone companies and the internet providers. They want costs to go up. The Soros Fund is going to spend, along with these other groups, over $10 million to try to enact a communist takeover the power grid in the state of Georgia. And it's not just the power grid. It's the phones. It's the Internet. You know what they want? They're being very open about it. They think that it's too cheap. It's right. They think your internet is too cheap. You know what? In Georgia, I learned the other day. I actually didn't know this. You know, there have been a number of stories of the New York Times of the Wall Street Journal and elsewhere that your power rates are going up because power companies, they don't want to just jack up the rates on the data centers that are being built around the country. So to reduce the costs to the data centers that are raising your power prices too. So your rates are going up so that the data centers don't have to pay the full price of their power. Not in Georgia. Not in Georgia. In Georgia, the data centers have to pay the full price because your rates aren't going to go up. And you know what the Democrats actually want to do? They want to raise your rates because they want the data centers. They think the data centers will bring jobs. And so they actually want to spread the power, increased costs to you. Not only that, they're actually arguing. that if they increase your prices, you will decrease your power consumption, and that's a good thing for the environment. They actually want to mandate...

that you have to put those thermostats in your house and let the power company control your thermostat. They actually want you to have to put those in your house so that when there's too much demand on the power grid, the power company can turn off your air conditioner in the middle of the summer, even if you wanted to be left on. That's the sort of stuff that the communists want. That's what they do in California and elsewhere. That's what they want to do in my state. You know, I've got one of those thermostats, and I love it. I can turn on my thermostat. I'm in my office right now. And I can turn on or turn off or raise or lower the temperature in my house remotely from my phone right now. I love it. But I refused to allow the power company to access it. Because I don't want the power company to say, we think he's using his air conditioner too much. We're going to slow him down. It's my air conditioner. I pay the bill. One of the things that the left wants is for you to have to allow the power company to control your thermostat. All of this is to tell you to get ready. In November, there will be two public service commissioner races in the state of Georgia. They'll be at the very top of the ballot. And if Republicans do not show up, which the Democrats expect is going to happen, that Republicans won't show up, the communists will take over the public service commission. And they will implement Democrat-style policies we see in California. The choice is yours, and this has greater national impact. Because I know it sounds like I'm being hyper-local talking about Georgia, but again, Georgia has so much baseload power from its coal plants and its nuclear plant that Georgia spills over a lot of its excess power to the eastern power grid. That'll all go away. So will your ability to control your thermostat in your house. Fair warning. When the truth seems hazy, Eric will clear the way. It's the Eric Erickson Show. Welcome. He's become this very famous quasi-anonymous graffiti artist who does a lot of murals that echo the sentiments of the elite. He does, whether you like to believe it or not. There are a lot of people who believe themselves to be transgressive radicalists who love Banksy, and actually he's just affirming their worldview. He's done it repeatedly, except this time. He painted a mural outside a courthouse on a historic building. This comes after the comedian, the English comedian, was arrested at Heathrow Airport for some mean tweets about the transgender community. What the mural depicted was a British citizen.

with a protest sign held up, who was down on the ground on his back, and a British judge about to pound a gavel into the guy's head, the British judge violently attacking the peaceful protesting British citizen. Now, what's funny about this is that they covered it up. And then masked agents of the state scrubbed the graffiti off the wall. And the irony is the way he painted it now. The shadow of the mural is still there, making it all the more damning the censorship of the British elite. Censorship is actually something that our founders considered a great deal about when it came to or the First Amendment. Now, it's actually Kamala Harris' ghost writer's thoughts. It's not actually Kamala Harris' thoughts. Just to be clear here, Kamala Harris did not write this book. She certainly had input in the book, but Kamala Harris, like most politicians, hired someone to write it. That person is not listed. We will find out who the ghost writer is, I'm sure, but Kamala Harris relied on a ghost writer to write her thoughts, but they are Kamala Harris's thoughts, to be fair. They are her thoughts. And what of Kamala Harris's thoughts?

is how overwhelmed she was on immigration. Let me read you part of the excerpt. I shouldered the blame for the poorest border, an issue that had proven intractable for Democratic and Republican administrations alike. Even the breathtaking cruelty of Trump's family separation policy hadn't deterred the desperate. It was an issue that absolutely demanded by partisan cooperation at an impossibly partisan, most uncooperative time. No one around the president advocated give her something she can win with. The fact is Donald Trump solved the immigration problem within weeks of becoming president by himself without a single law being changed. I want to read this again. These are the words of Kamala Harris's ghost writer reflecting Kamala Harris's thoughts. Quote, I shouldered the blame for the poorest border, an issue that had proved intractable for Democratic and Republican administrations alike. It was an issue that absolutely demanded bipartisan cooperation at an impossibly partisan, most uncooperative time. Hello. The problem has been solved. Not a single new law passed by Congress. No bipartisanship involved. If anything, the Democrats are on the side of the illegal aliens. Kamala Harris seemed to think she needed some bipartisan solution to solve a problem. Donald Trump solved by force of will alone in just a couple of weeks. By the way. Over to you, I think News Nation. The focus today was on a Venezuelan gang that they believe has been selling illegal guns on the streets of Chicago. And they emphasize that the main person they were looking for today had sold them about 14 guns, and they believe that they've been able to tie those guns that were sold undercover to ATF and other agencies to shootings, carjackings, and even homicides in your city. That was ABC 7 in Chicago. I'm sorry, not News Nation. So ICE, Donald Trump's ICE agents, have gone to Chicago. They have gone to Chicago, and they have... arrested illegal immigrants who were selling guns on the streets of Chicago. So the ICE agents did that. Remember the mayor of Chicago said you couldn't solve the violence in Chicago without dealing with the guns coming from Mississippi and Louisiana. Donald Trump just solved the gun problem in Chicago by arresting an illegal immigrant. Kamala Harris led over the border.

Let me read you some of this from Alex Thompson from Axios reviewing this book. Harris believed the White House didn't want her to succeed. Their thinking was zero sum. If she's shining, he's dimmed. None of them grasped that if I did well, he did well. That given the concerns about his age, my visible success as his vice president was vital. I also called on Israel for greater access to aid. It was a speech that had been vetted and approved by the White House, the National Security Council. It went viral, and the West Wing was displeased. I was castigated for apparently delivering it too well. It would serve as a testament to his judgment in choosing me in reassurance that if something happened, the country was in good hands. My success was important for him. Harris says Biden was hurt politically by his perceived blank check to Benjamin Netanyahu. Quote, Joe was already polling badly on the issue of age with roughly 75% of voters saying he was too old to be an effective president. Then he started taking on water for his blank check to Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza. And finally, there's this. Quote, I watched it, the debate.

No, no, I'm sorry, the farewell speech. I watched it at the hotel that night. It was a good speech, drawing on the history of the presidency to locate his own place within it. But as my staff later pointed out, it was almost nine minutes into the 11-minute address before he mentioned me. I want to thank our great Vice President Kamala Harris. She's experienced. She's tough. She's capable. She's been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. And that was it. And then a standalone sentence, I am a loyal person. She's bitter. Bitter, bitter, bitter, bitter, bitter. Bitter, bitter, bitter. She's bitter. She says of this. And of all the people of the White House, I was in the worst position to make the case that he should drop out. I knew it would come off to him as incredibly self-serving if I advised him not to run. He would see it as naked ambition, perhaps as poisonous disloyalty, even if my own message was, don't let the other guy win. It's Joe and Jill's decision. We all said that like a mantra, as if we'd all been hypnotized. It was it grace or was it recklessness? In retrospect, I think it was recklessness. The stakes were simply too high. This wasn't a choice that should have been left to an individual's ego and individual's ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision. When Fox News attacked me on everything from my laugh to my tone of voice, to whom I dated in my 20s, or claimed I was a quote-unquote DEI hire. The White House rarely pushed back with my actual resume. Two terms elected DA, top cop, and the second largest... Department of Justice in the United States. Senator representing one in eight Americans. Lorraine Boyles, my chief of staff, constantly had to advocate for my role at events. She's not going to stand there like a potted plant. Give her two minutes of remarks. Have her introduced the president. She says of Corrine Jean-Pierre, they had a huge comms team. They had Corrine Jean-Pierre briefing the press room every day, but getting anything positive said about my work or any defense against untrue attacks was almost impossible. And when the stories were unfair or inaccurate, the presidents in her circle seemed fine with it. Indeed, it seemed as if they decided I should be knocked down a bit more. When Republicans mischaracterized my role as the borders are, no one in the White House comms team helped me effectively push back and explain what I had been tasked to do, not nor to highlight any of the progress I'd achieve. She's better, bitter, bitter, bitter, bitter. My goodness. Now, here's the thing. I don't know if you guys know this or not.

But there was a special election yesterday. And the Democrats swamped the Republicans. In fact, the Democrats have now eeked into the Republicans' majority in the House of Representatives. It's a very, very tiny majority now in the U.S. House of Representatives. And you know what? The Democrats should have been able to wake up this morning and crow about their electoral success. They should have been able to, but they can't. And they can't because they woke up to Kamala Harris, stealing the headlines, sucking the oxygen out of the room. They had a good night. Democrats had a good night. electorally. But here comes Kamala Harris to step on the news. Here comes Kamala Harris to dominate the headlines today, having to relitigate the disastrous election last year, and also largely to acknowledge that, yeah, we all knew Joe Biden wasn't in good health. and none of us were brave enough to stand up and tell Joe Biden he should step out. Is that not remarkable? They can't stop stepping on themselves. And it's the Biden-Harris administration that keeps doing it. Remember, every time the Democrats had something good happened to him last year on the campaign trail, Joe Biden would come out and say something insane. And then the Democrats would have to go into this defensive posture to explain it in this defensive posture. And here again, the Democrats actually had a pretty good election last night. Pretty good election that narrows the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. And instead of being able to say, this is a harbinger of doom for the GOP, this is bad for the midterms. Instead, they're having to come out and say, hey, sorry, we got to deal with Kamala Harris again. Just crazy stuff. Just crazy, crazy, crazy things happening out there. And the Democrats have no way of... responding. The Democrats have no way of dealing with Kamala Harris now dominating a conversation that they don't know how to get away from. They have no way for them for them to overcome the spotlight. that Kamala Harris is going to draw on this book tour, as they're trying to head into midterms next year talking about Donald Trump, they're instead going to have Kamala Harris' book dropped out there here at the end of September. The end of September, they're heading into October, they're going to want to start focusing, and they're not going to be able to. Because they're going to be...

Dealing with Kamala Harris. There's some breaking news hitting the wire. Talk radio show host and head of Turning Point USA. Charlie Kirk has just been attending an event at Utah Valley University. He has been hit in the neck. There is video. There is confirmation now that Charlie Kirk has been hit at this event in Utah Valley University, shots fired at the event. Keep Charlie in your prayers, please. It does not look like a good situation there. This being happening a day after condemnation for his remarks on the murder of the lady in what Irina Zerutska in. Charlotte, North Carolina. So keep Charlie in your prayers, please. This has just happened at Utah Valley University. It is now confirmed Charlie Kirk has been shot at this event. Multiple eyewitnesses are saying an older gentleman got up and started asking questions about transgendered issues and pulled a gun and shot Charlie Kirk, who appears to be in critical condition. Prayers appreciated. On this, he definitely is hospitalized now. And Utah, this is a rapidly developing story. Utah Valley University, real quick, it was at a TPUSA event. He was standing under a tent. It's an American comeback. prove me wrong where this older gentleman opened fire at the event shooting Kirk. It was captured on video. Don't want to dive into the video. The... Utah Valley University is in Orem, Utah, on the banks of Utah there. Orem is just north of Provo, Utah, for those of you doing it on the south of Salt Lake City, north of Provo on the way to Provo. And...

Yeah, this is developing situations. CNN now and Fox News both breaking in with this information, Charlie Kirk shot at the event. We've got only a couple minutes left in the program here. I don't know that. I don't think we're going to be able to get any additional news here, but prayers for Charlie. I don't know his condition other than I was told by a friend who was there. It's a critical condition, and he is in the hospital right now. they were able to get him to the hospital. So keep your eyes on the situation and also pray for Charlie and his wife and family, too, as this situation is happening. We live in mad and insane times, and more and more angry people are turning towards violence. And there's a lot of violence on the left. that feels helpless. And they've been made to feel helpless by the own voices they listen to. They've been told we're in a constitutional crisis. They have been told that people like Charlie Kirk and others are helping the President of the United States impose an autocracy on the country. And they're lashing out. We've seen the shooter in the Catholic Church and school in Minnesota, the Covenant School in Nashville, the attempted assassinations of President Trump, and we continue to see these stories. There is a level of unhealthy rage in the country. And it is a rage of people who feel helpless because politics is their God. They worship the idols of politics. And their gods have failed them because their side lost. And now they are angry and wish to attack those they blame. And that now today includes Charlie Kirk. They've targeted the President of the United States. They've targeted the President's supporters. In the first administration, they were showing up at people's houses and harassing them and chasing Sarah Bernie Sanders out of a restaurant, and now they're showing up armed. Prayer. Prayer is the answer in this situation as well. Will we be mocked for praying for Charlie as they mocked us for praying for the kids in Minnesota, perhaps? But it's still the right answer.
