“ Those all have Xavier Becerra up by double digit points. It just points out a couple of things. Number one, it's strictly down party lines. It's like 90% Democrats say they'll vote for Xavier Becerra. 90% of Republicans say they'll vote for Steve Hilton. And those independent voters still break towards Xavier Becerra to a lesser degree, but still similar to what the overall poll is. So just benchmarks. This is where we're starting from.”

“ Xavier Becerra still has a strong lead over Republican Steve Hilton in the race to be the next governor of California. Xavier Becerra has support from 55% of likely voters surveyed. Hilton has 37%. The remaining 7% are undecided. And of course, they're falling along party lines pretty much. 88% of Democrats prefer Xavier Becerra. 91% of Republicans say they will back Hilton. Yeah. And the problem for any Republican...”

“ Well, this is sort of, I guess you could say this is going to be the first of what will be many polls that are taken for the California's governor's race between Xavier Becerra and Steve Hilton. And it's not a giant surprise. We know the numbers in California. And these kind of go along with what we know. According to the UC Berkeley Institute of Government Studies poll, co-sponsored by the LA Times.”
