Donald Trump accuses Tehran of violating the ceasefire agreement with its attacks on vessels in the strait. Tehran says it's the U.S. that's breaching the truce with its attacks. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the framework agreement with Lebanon allows Israel to keep its forces in the south for as long as necessary. Iran's Revolutionary Guard says it's launched attacks targeting U.S. military sites around the Gulf. Iran fired multiple missiles and drone towards Bahrain and Kuwait. Bahrain has condemned the attacks on its territory.
They followed a second night of U.S. air strikes on Iran's southern coast. The U.S. strikes were reported in the port city of Syrick and Keshem Island near the Strait of Hormuz. Some of Iran's military facilities are located there. The U.S. says the latest strikes are in response to an Iranian attack on a cargo ship on Saturday. both Iran and the U.S. are accusing each other of ceasefire violations. Well, Iran's foreign ministry says that these brutal attacks, which constitute a clear violation, demonstrate that the U.S. regime attaches no value or credibility to its commitments, and that breaching agreements is an inherent characteristic of this regime.
Earlier, the IRGC released a statement saying the enemy should know that violating the ceasefire is against the first clause of the Islamabad agreement and will lead to a complete halt of processes. Well, U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened more military action if Iranian strikes continue. He said on his truth social, United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations and coastal radar sites for violating the ceasefire agreement again. It's very possible that they will never learn. There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist. In Lebanon, the Israeli military carried out air strikes in the South on Saturday, killing at least one person.
The military released a statement saying the attack in Nabatia targeted a suspected Hezbollah fighter. These attacks were the first since Israel signed a framework agreement with Lebanon, brokered by the U.S. on Friday. Under the agreement, the army is expected to progressively redeploy from two zones in the South to be taken over by Lebanese forces, but no timeline has been set. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said the agreement was an achievement that dealt a blow to both Hezbollah and Iran. Lebanon's president has asked the U.S. to help prevent violations and pressure Israel to withdraw from the south.
