Okay. You know how sometimes I get a little bit sarcastic. I'm going to try not to get that way. I just kind of keyed in on something he said. Yeah. He said that he was from Virginia, capital of all data centers, right? Yeah, they're just going gangbuses there. They're exploding all over that state. Okay, well, I'm going to key in on something that the city of Toledo seems to like to do, perform studies. And, you know, we always talk about how nervous we are, how scared we are, and what's going to have to our electric rates, and every fear known to mortal man. Well, if you have the... capital of data centers just to our southeast maybe we should have a little study asking these people you know hey how did the data center work out for you yeah is it worse than you thought it would be is it better than you thought it'd be what happened to your electric grades you know all of the stuff we fear we have an actual living model yeah that's what's exactly what i said the other day we need to go to where these places already are especially if they've been there, and thanks for the call, John, especially if they've been there, let's say, three to five years. And find out, did your rates go up? Is your water contaminated? Did livestock get affected? Are the birds still flying around? All of that kind of stuff. To your knowledge, has any of that been done yet? I'm a thousand percent positive that somebody, some academic has done research over the impact of data centers in Northern Virginia. But I will say this, Northern Virginia is one of the most expensive places to live in the entire country. Loudoun County, I think, is the richest county in the country. Okay. And when we think about property tax and rising home values. When data centers come into a community and swallow up land, that creates scarcity of land. And I think that that probably contributes to why I have a friend who bought a townhouse pre-COVID for $330,000. After COVID, he got an evaluation of his home and he could sell it for just short of a million.

Good, God Almighty. Exactly. Yeah. And did he? No, he's still in the townhouse. But yeah, so like, I think there's something to be said there. Like, think of how large these facilities are. And, you know, there are going to be negative consequences. And I think that's... With any policy decision. Otherwise, it's just ridiculous. You can't build something that big and not have it effect water, air, electricity, and things like that. So would you, I hate doing studies on everything, but would you want more studies done or do you think the information is out there and we just haven't gathered it yet? I think that's probably the answer. You know, I think the simplest answer is always typically right. So I'm sure that. Virginia has probably conducted these studies. And with northern Virginia being the data center capital of the world, I don't see why we can't make inferences off of how Virginia has developed and the impact that it's had on their communities that are data center heavy. On a lot of different things. Yeah. On all those different things. Let's talk about the money that we send to Columbus for a minute and to Washington, D.C. Because one of the things that we hear complaints about a lot on air, especially when it comes to school funding. Every school district in this area and every school district in District 41 is operating at a deficit right now. And they all say the same thing. It's because we're not getting the amount of money back from Columbus that we're supposed to and from Washington, D.C. Where are you on that? Have you studied that enough to have an answer? Yeah, so my wife is a public school teacher and has been our whole marriage. public schools are very important to me. And the state passed a funding formula and has failed to fully fund that funding formula. And so I think that has to be the first step when it comes to education is fully funding the funding formula so public schools can succeed. Why haven't they? That's a good question. And I honestly, I don't know why. And I'm a proponent of public services. I like public education. I like public transportation. I like public safety. And I think these are core services that a government has to provide in a modern world. And I think that all of those services should be funded. Should I go back to your website and see if you're a Democrat? You're talking like a Democrat. Are you a Democrat? No, I'm a Republican. So how would you classify yourself? Are you old school conservative? Are you libertarian, Republican? I mean, because the stuff you're saying, you're either saying it to get elected or you actually believe it. No, I actually believe it.

I'll share this. I don't know how to label myself politically, but I made a post that my favorite president is Ulysses S. Grant. Well, Shane, but now people got to look him up. Well, he's a Republican. He's an Ohioan. I think, you know. One of my favorite things is he sent the U.S. Army after the Ku Klux Klan. He signed the first Civil Rights Act of our country. He establishes Yellowstone as the first national park. And he serves as our president during this transitory period of reconstruction and has to deal with the Southern Democrats and their corruption and clamoring for slavery. Okay. He's my favorite president. I think that speaks more to who I am as a Republican, that he's my favorite. So you'd be like an old school Republican. Sure, yeah. Okay, all right. Without, without. Because I hate, I hate the labels. I hate the, I hate, what are you grinning about? Can I vote for this guy man? Yeah, well, I don't know. I don't know if he's in District 41 or not. So now, the guy sitting next to here, Earl. has 40 years in law enforcement. All right. Are you a defund the police or fund the police or give the police more training or give the police more mental health help? I mean, where do you stand on our law enforcement? Yeah, like I said, public safety. And I think law fully funding public safety. And I think law enforcement fits under that umbrella. And I think we have a duty to support our law enforcement officers, our firefighters, our first responders, EMS. And so. I fully support the men and women who put their lives on the line for hours every day. And when it comes to crime, I think there's, I like smart on crime. I think repeat violent offenders deserve to be in prison. But I think the people that are really making him smile at this point. I'm moving. I think people that, you know. make a mistake, they get caught shoplifting for the first time, something like that. There needs to be more real rehabilitative services for them. There needs to be like a, you know, this is wrong and let's learn why you did this and how we can better ourselves. And I think that there needs to be, especially in our communities. like kids need that soft touch kids in my i hear this from my wife who's an educator and has only ever taught in uh title one schools that it's like a lot of kids aren't getting the love that they need today and i i really think that we as community leaders need to

to share the love and to make sure that kindness is given to our children and that they have space to grow. Well, and they need that mentorship. Yeah. They need to see that adults, and it's one of the things that we as Toledo Buffalo soldiers do, they need to know that there are adults out there that care about where they're going to end up. Yeah.
