So on Instagram and Facebook, we put up an image that shows you my top three picks for White House Press Secretary and one other. potential name to watch. One other person who could possibly be up for the job. Yeah, when you see the image, it's like one of those who doesn't belong. Right. One of these things is not like the other. Yeah. I've got Alina Habba. Habba. That's kind of annoying when you say that. I've got Natalie Harp and Anna Kelly. And then Stephen Chung is in the mix because that was a report from the New York Post that he might be in the mix for White House Press Secretary. Real quick, Dana, our Instagram poll. Who did everyone like the best? Alina Habba. She got all the votes, pretty much, except for the one person who commented and said, Dana. I could be the new press secretary, yeah. Dana McKay for press secretary. Right now, let's check in with our White House correspondent, John Decker, whose report is brought to you by Advocate Health Advisors, helping seniors make informed Medicare decisions that impact the cost, quality, and access to care. Learn more at Advocatehealthadvisors.com. John, what do you think about that? Dana McKay as the next White House press secretary. I know the press secretary. That'd be good to me. That'd be very good. I have her, I have her number. Right. That's true. So we'll see what happens with that. What are you hearing about White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt's decision to step down from her position. We talked yesterday about how she did as press secretary. You gave her really high marks. But did the decision come as a surprise to the press corps? Shock, just shock, you know, out of nowhere. I don't know anybody that saw that coming. And I speak to everybody, you know, and as it relates to Karoline Leavitt, she really kept it close to the vest, informing the president, informing the White House chief of staff, Susie Wiles, and the president announcing it on social media. So, yeah, this really came as a shock in the sense that she just came back, just came back from her maternity leave after giving birth to her second child in.

early May. So the fact that she's leaving really took us all by surprise. And any rumors about replacements over the past 24 hours? You mentioned one administration official, former Fox News commentator Monica Crowley. Anything else you're hearing about? Who could replace her? I hear the same names that you do. You know, it's really difficult because you have to tick a lot of boxes. It's not just anybody. You have to take a lot of boxes to be in the mix in terms of who the president makes. You've got to want to do it. Someone who's extremely, sorry? And you've got to want to do it. I mean, John, they have to deal with people like you every day. That's not an easy gig. You got to want to do it. You're right about that. You know, so, you know, Stephanie Grisham, perfect example of someone who really didn't want to do it. And she was. named the press secretary after Sarah Mike Huckabee Bernie Sanders left the White House. And she never did a White House press briefing. So, you know, I hear the same names that you do. I see the same names being filtered out there. But, you know, you also have to choose someone who doesn't have a social media past that has indications or examples of being critical of Donald Trump. Yeah, that's true. Some people have that kind of, you know, social media passed. you know, that they can't walk away from that easily. So we'll see what the president ultimately decides to do. He's in no rush, obviously, you know, and I don't know if he wants to necessarily name a replacement before Karoline Leavitt has actually left the building. All right. Real quick, President Trump hitting the campaign trail again ahead of the midterms. What's on deck for him today? He's heading to New York State. He's going to be campaigning for the Republican nominee for governor. That's Bruce Blakeman. He is running against Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York State, who had a very close run, surprisingly, back in 2022 against Lee Zeldin, who's now in the Trump administration, EPA administrator. And polls show that it's getting close. So the president thinks that he can energize the Republican base by heading up to New York, his former home state. And that's what he's going to do a little bit later this afternoon. John, appreciate it. Have a great weekend. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is stepping down at the end of the month. So now the big question is who will replace her. There's a lot of speculation that longtime Trump communication strategist Jason Miller will take the lead on press operations. But it's not clear if he's going to be conducting briefings. This could just be kind of like an interim thing. Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly is technically... Next in line, but one source said they expect Trump to choose someone from outside the White House. Other possible replacements include former Department of Homeland Security Press Secretary Katie Zacharia or maybe CNN political commentator Scott Jennings. Now, Katie Zacharia. Yeah, I got to tell you, she might be the best of them all. She's a great communicator. She's got the look is what she has. She does have the look. And then Monica Crowley, a name mentioned by our White House correspondent, John Decker. I'm going to say it. I know you can't say it. But she's a little older than the other women. And I have a feeling that that might be a factor. That might impact Trump's decision. The three that I picked, well, there's three plus one. And you can see this on Instagram and Facebook at Ryan Gorman Show. Alina Habba. Stop.

Natalie Harp, Anna Kelly, and then, because there are rumors from, like, the New York Post, Stephen Chung, he could be in the mix. Although when you look at the picture, you'll see, like, there's one person who really doesn't belong to Stephen Chung. But I like Katie Zacharia. Yeah, we should put her on there, too. We need to show everyone what she looks like if they don't know already. So on our Facebook page at Ryan Gorman Show, some people commented. Shannon said, all I can hear is Ryan saying, Alina Habahoba. Yes, stop. It's annoying. All right. Justin said Alina Habba all day. Eileen said she'd like to see Scott Jennings. And then Jeff said you left out Laura Lumer. For good reason. For good reason, exactly. Listen live to the Ryan Gorman Show on IHeart Radio every weekday morning on WIOD and Miami. WFLA and Tampa.
