of these sailors who are aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. And this story has been going on. And today, there's major pushback today against the commander-in-chief of these families. The one lady who's the wife of a sailor, who she got text messages from, the voicemails from, saying how much they're suffering. She said, why can't this president, this commander chief take accountability? Why can't he owe up to it? The fact that those guys were in trouble. And reports today that a sailor did jump off the ship and they stopped another guy from jumping off the ship. No water, no food, limited food, all this type of stuff for months. months and that the morale was so bad and they were what they were eight months without going into port which is talk to folks that you know know the navy uh it's very very that's a long deployment without going to port to get resupplied And going into land. And it's the Middle East. Can you imagine that sun beating down on you every day? And, you know, for 14 hours a day, that sun beating on you. You can't wash your clothes. Toilets overflowing. The stench is horrible. And they told all the folks. So what was Trump's? Here's what's... Here's why they're trying to take exception to the commander-in-chief today. And I knew this, but we knew this was coming. We talked about this last night. You know, and some people going, oh, they need to toughen up, they need to toughen up. We knew, we knew, we knew. The Pete Hegseth, that's fake news, fake news, fake news. Well, they're getting some help now, and they're sending a ship to relieve them. But after people excoriated the defense secretary, you could almost predict what President Trump's reaction was going to be. Okay? He dismissed the concerns out of hand today. about the USS Abraham Lincoln. Deployed for almost, I guess it was almost nine months. Asked by a reporter today if the aircraft carrier's deployment has lasted too long, the commander-in-chief, the president of the United States said, not nearly long enough. He said that at Joint Base Andrews before heading to New York. Yep. When the reporters told Mr. Trump that family members of the USS service members were concerned, terribly concerned about conditions on the ship.

President Trump said, no, they're not. So, you know, when Trump does like the reverse, like I, you know, we're on to him now. I mean, after all these months and everything's years, it means that he's mad about this. He said, that ship is moving right now or very shortly and it's being replaced with another very similar ship. But he said, he said, And, you know, the military newspaper last night, I was going on about it last night, Stars and Stripes. They had, you know, pretty much exclusive with the sailors on board because, you know, the sailors are, they read that paper, Stars and Stripes. And that reporter did a really good job. And one of the texts to the woman who. That woman who was pushed back against the commander in chief today about, you know, just take ownership of this, take accountability. It was her husband who said, texted, I hope I don't wake up tomorrow. And that scared the families. They went to the politicians. Democrats are calling for hearings on this thing, how this could get so bad. Pete Hegseth called it fake news. And the Trump, today the commander in chief said that they weren't deployed not nearly long enough. And asked about the family's concerns, about conditions on the ship. No, they're not, meaning, no, the families were not concerned. Well, yes, they were. A father of a sailor. Talk to the media today saying they've been deployed way too long. He said, these are old ships. This guy, the father was in the Navy himself. He said it's not like they're even state of the art. And they take a lot of maintenance, a lot of work. It's around the clock. Yeah. So this thing is not going away and people are getting bent out of shape over it. So, Pat, I see you're on hold. Dave, you're on hold. And I'll sneak you in there. Don't worry. But I get to get to traffic. I just wanted to update folks. And, you know, people are going on about it. They really are. Yep. Donald Trump also said today that he would declare the state of Hormuz, a territory of the United States. We'll see how that plays. uh-huh yeah mm-hmm hey there are 5,000 sailors aboard that Abraham Lincoln they can't wait to get to solid ground Hey, it's Jen Hatmaker.
