Way to go Todd. Way to go Todd. Todd. There it is. Dan DiOrio's Todd. It's 626. Way to Go Todd's our kindness moment of the day named after our friend Todd Walker in the Kansas City area. He was kind. We heard about it. We've been doing kind stories every day at this time since April of 2018. This one is titled, Investment Leads to Yale. This is a sweet story of people believing in somebody else. In Cape Cod, have you ever been to Cape Cod? When I was younger, our family used to go out to Cape Cod, and what I remember about Cape Cod, and my mom talked about it the whole way out. Yeah. With saltwater taffy. Oh, man. Was it good? Oh, yeah. Cape Cod, I've never been, is the side of a Wendy's. You don't think about when. I think about Cape Cod being kind of fancy. Maybe they don't have, they have Wendy's. And there's a guy there that started working as a shift manager while he was in high school. His name is Thalas Winner de Sousa. Thalas Winner de Sousa. He's a teenager. He's a shift manager. His bosses were so taken by this guy. and recognized his ability to do good work, they said, look, if you stay with our company, if you stay with this company, we will pay for three years of your community college because the community college was in town. So he could work for them and still go to school. The other day, he earned all the top grades at community college. He blew it out, and he was the student body president. And a couple days ago, he found out that all of his... Community College credits will transfer to his new college. He got into Yale. He got into Yale. And they only accept a very small percentage of transfer people ever. whether it's from a four-year or a four-year or a community college. So he's in a rare, airified air. And it wouldn't have happened if those folks at Wendy's, the company, the local company that owns them, said, look, we got you. We got you. That's a good thing, man. You know, in a way, it kind of reminds me of, and I watched it. It was on yesterday. I was kind of bored waiting for the, you know, Wisconsin results and all that, the bowls are closed. So I watched Rudy. Oh, the Notre Dame story? Yeah, it kind of reminds me of, you know. Well, there's those stories. When people believe in somebody, sometimes we're such an instant gratification society now, we want that story to be right away. Yeah. Like, hey, do something good for somebody, right away. Well, that's fine, too. But sometimes it's the long haul. Well, but part of it is it's not only having other people believe in you, but having you believe in yourself. And not give up, no matter how many obstacles, how many setbacks, if you want it, you just have to persevere. Keep going. That's what the Rudy story is about. Keep going. Yeah.
