You're listening to The Hammer and Nigel show. And my name is Nigel, Jason Hammer, right over there with a very special guest on the hotline. Senator, from the great state of Indiana, Jim Banks joins us. Senator, I saw you post about this survey or I guess it'd be called a pledge that went around to the Democrats that serve in the U.S. House. And the question was, do you consider yourself capitalists? not socialists. Now, it's my understanding that the results of this little survey were kind of eye-opening. Talk to me about it. Well, these, when we talk about the Democrats being taken over by the socialist, you saw what happened in Michigan last week, this Abdul, Rachman, L. Michigan is a true socialist. He was supported by the DSA wing of the Democrat Party. And you see all over the country the socialist taking over winning in primaries. Michigan is a big example. But we talk about how Bernie Sanders has now become like the, he's the standard bear of the Democrat Party. He used to be the extremist, and now they all look like him. They all adopt his socialist policies. And they know they're in trouble. Being the Democrats, being the socialist party is bad for them in the upcoming election. And you have a few of them that are trying to distance themselves from it and saying, no, we are not socialist. In this case, Tom Suozzi, a Democrat in New York, puts together this pledge. As we are not socialist, we are capitalist. We want safety, not lawlessness. We are fiscally responsible, not reckless. We believe government should solve problems, not create them. We are mainstream, not extreme. We are proud, not ashamed of America. Guys, that's the pledge that they wrote. They circulated it to all of their colleagues in the Democrat caucus, 212 House Democrats, and 10 of them, only 10 of them signed it. Only 10 Democrats in the Congress. we're willing to sign that pledge. I think it's not, it would be hilarious if you didn't realize what's going on here. This is not, I've said before to you guys, this is not my, my dad or my grandpa's Democrat Party. This is Bernie Sanders Democrat Party, the socialist, communist Democrat Party. Now, if that doesn't prove it, I don't know what does. So is anybody buying it then? I mean, the question is, you know, the... Socialist in Wisconsin lost by a percentage point or two last night. You have Abdul El-Sayed, who you mentioned only got that nomination by a couple of percentage points when the polls overwhelmingly said that these Democratic socialists were going to have a huge win. Is anybody buying this? And like even further, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez! I'm hearing this thing about Woke 1. Oh, that was me, Woke 1. back in 2020s. I don't believe anybody's buying it. Yeah, I don't think they're going to buy it on Election Day. I mean, I think that's the whole point. You have some of these more, I hate to call moderate because now the Democrats are so extreme that you can't call them moderate. But Tom Suozzi is about as close to being a moderate House Democrats as they come. I served with him in the House.

And he came in when I came in to the House back in 2017. And he's trying to give the Heisman to the socialist wing of his party. And he's getting steamrolled in the process. He also saw like up in Michigan, Debbie Dingle is a longtime House Democrat. She's. She's in the past, at least she was pro-Israel, more of a moderate Democrat. Well, she jumped on board with Abdul El-Sayed right away because she's afraid of the DSA wing of the party. And I think that's what you're finding is they, some of these Democrats might not really believe it in their heart. They might not want to go there, but they're afraid of the DSA wing of their party targeting them in their next election and taking them out. The incumbent. Democrats, you saw another incumbent Democrat lose last night. I think in Connecticut, you've got a lot, you've got more incumbent House Democrats losing their re-election campaigns in a primary than we've seen in many years. So I do think this DSA wing is, they've taken over the heart and soul of the Democrat Party. I don't think the voters are going to buy it on Election Day, and that's why you have so many of the, you have a small handful of these Democrats who are saying, wait a minute, we don't want. that label on us because we see what that's going to do to us in the general election. One more thing on these socialists here, because I do want to get to Anthony Fauci here in just a moment, but why do you think the polling was so overwhelmingly in the favor of Abdul El-Sayed and of Hong in Wisconsin? I mean, Hong and these polls were up like 20, 25 points, only to... in her case, get beat. And Abdul El-Sayed, it went down to the buzzer. It went into the next day before they were able to officially call that race. What do you make of these polls being so wrong? Maybe it's good news that in Wisconsin, even the Democrats support the Thanksgiving holiday. I think this crazy lunatic came out against Thanksgiving. She was up in the polls, you know, as you said, quite a bit before that. Maybe her coming out against Thanksgiving has something to do with it. But also I think in all seriousness, I think, you know, these pollsters are calling these Democrats. They're probably afraid they're afraid of the socialist. and the communists who have taken over their party, maybe they're lying to the pollsters. I mean, I think there's probably a part of that as well. These Democrats are just afraid of the extreme, the most extreme wing of their party and what they're going to do to them if they don't get on board and shut up. So up in Michigan, you've got the former press secretary.

For Jill Biden, when she was the first lady, came out and endorsed Mike Rogers, the Republican, that says a lot to me. I mean, some of these Democrats are saying, this is a bridge too far. We can't support a Democrat who's this extreme, yet another famous Democrat in Washington, D.C., who endorsed Mike Rogers and said that the Democrats have lost their soul. He wrote in a piece by nominating Abdul El-Sayed. So I think you will see a handful of Democrats distancing themselves, but I think for the most part they're afraid of the socialist. Senator Jim Banks with us here on The Hammer and Nigel show. Senator, one more thing here before we let you go. Since the last time we spoke, more texts from Dr. Anthony Fauci have been released. Members of, you know, the Congress have received these. They've been leaked out to the media. Looks like now Dr. Anthony Fauci knew that booster shots and... multiple COVID vaccines did indeed play into miscarriages in the first trimester, yet he was saying something totally different to the public. I know since the last time we spoke, Rand Paul and his committee voted to put him in contempt of Congress. I'm just curious as to your thoughts overall on what you're seeing with the Dr. Anthony Fauci fallout. Well, Dr. Anthony Fauci belongs in jail. a very long time. He invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times in that hearing a couple of weeks ago before Senator Rand Paul's oversight hearing. So now you know, now you guys know why the Joe Biden auto pen granted him a pardon before Biden left the White House because these emails implicate him. He knew that the second COVID shot. caused miscarriages in the third trimester for women at a high percentage rate. And he still forced the vaccine on the American people. So there's been no accountability for this guy. He profited off of COVID. He lied about mask mandates and about the vaccines and social distancing. Gain of function research. The research, he denied that it came from a lab in China, even though he had direct ties to the oversight of the funding that was going to these labs. And he lied about it all the way through. He'd never been held accountable for it. And the Joe Biden auto penned. pardon, has prevented some of that accountability. But now that he's been in contempt of Congress, the Trump Justice Department, Todd Blanche would confirm them right before we started the August recess last Friday. So now that he's the confirmed attorney general, my hope is that he will step up and hold Anthony Fauci accountable for what he did to this country, which is totally wrong.
