Before we get into talking about why we're here and some fun things, we do have to pass on this report that we're getting from the IMPD. There's a very active situation taking place on the southwest side. Please avoid this area, the 300 block of North Fleming Street. hearing reports that shots have been fired at officers, and this is still a very fluid situation. So southwest side 300 block of North Fleming Street, IMPD tweeted out that there will be a media staging area at 10th and Lennhurst to update us here in just a few minutes. And I know our newsroom is chasing down all the information. They will pass that on to you. Mr. Attorney General, just another thing to ask.

to what's been a very busy week here in Indiana. Wow, what a week. And my heart goes out to the officers, of course. You know, this is a tough job. And I understand that they were issuing a search warrant, which has become one of the most, the riskiest part of the job these days. So dangerous. No, no, what's on the other side of that door. But we'll wait for the other news to come out and just prayers to them. You know, we have, we're looking at a state right now that has about 300,000 people without power in different corners of the state. So far in central Indiana, relatively speaking, we've been okay. But on the outer parts of Indiana, you know, we're working hard to make sure these people are number one okay, including my mother. And two- What part of the Indiana? You're Lake, right? Yeah, I'm from Lake County. Okay. Feast your eyes. I'm a conservative from Lake County. Can you believe it? It's like seeing a unicorn. It should be in a cage on display. Look, honey, I thought they were. Yeah, she's doing good. She's a tough Polish woman, okay? Otherwise known as stubborn. So, you know, we're going to be okay. But, you know, a rough week for us here in Indiana. Go to my website. You shouldn't be made to put a lot of money down. Get references. Remember if it's, I know we're in desperate situations here, but, you know, don't let your brain go away, right? Use your common sense. You don't have to give a bunch of money to a reputable contractor up front. Some is okay, get as little as possible, maybe 10% or something, make sure it's all written up on the contract. Get a date when you expect them to be done. and hold them to that date. And I'm glad you bring that up because I hate to even think about it, but there are so many scammers that come out when there's a situation where people want to help somebody. Right, right. And look around the mercantile building here, you see some good contractors, right? You know, they're here. You know, they're not out scamming. And, you know, they're reputable. They don't mind putting their name forward. They don't mind putting their people forward. But just be careful. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That applies to contractors to. What's the most common kind of scam that you can think of that's prevalent during this time? Hey, you just need to give me half or more of the money down, and I'll be back next week. Wow. And they never come back. And they never come back. Yeah, it's that simple. And listen, I think a lot of old folks probably fall for this. We keep hearing about my mother or my grandmother, but there are some young people that fall for this stuff too because it looks like it comes from an official source. Right, right. And look, you know, contractors are going to be at a premium, especially the good ones. There's a lot of damage. Luckily, there hasn't been a lot of lost life. You know, that's the best part about the scenario.

and this property can be replaced. Everyone should have insurance. The governor's declaration, emergency declaration that he did, I believe yesterday, opens up the door for federal money to maybe come in now. That's a maybe. But you should be insured if you are, or even if you're not, take video, take pictures, all right? Just about everyone has a cell phone now. You can't take enough pictures or videos and then call your insurance company. How much of a difference does federal money make after declaring an emergency? You know, like everything else, the federal money has a lot of strings attached. I think the Trump administration has done a good job as disasters go. In Indiana, we haven't had much personal experience with the administration and FEMA yet. But in other places, it's gone pretty well. You're going to have to fill out some forms. You're going to have to, again, show the pictures and all that. And God forbid that you're scamming the federal government because they will come back after you, you know. But that's not the Hoosier way, and we know that, you know, people are hurt, you know, we'll get there. So I'm not saying the federal government money's here now. It's just that. bronze executive order yesterday or declaration yesterday opens up the legal possibilities for that and they're usually pretty fast. Attorney General Todd Rokita joining us here. So I've been tasked with my statute and it's a job I actually love when you you don't believe this you'll have as you go through life maybe it's an insurance premium that wasn't fully used and could be returned to you maybe it was some kind of insurance policy dividend that you had My favorite one is, you won't believe how many of these we have. It's a spouse who opens up a bank account but forgets to tell the other spouse. Oh, wow. Damn you, Crystal Hammer. And that spouse, not in this case, but the spouse will pass on and no one knows about the bank account. And then so eventually. This unclaimed property of all sorts. I mean, we have liquidated bank deposit boxes that have very valuable baseball cards in them and collections and things like that. Guy Relford had like $1,000 in there for when he was mowing mowing lawns as a kid. Yeah, and it collects interests. And eventually it ends up with me. And after 25 years, if you don't claim it... You take it to Vegas. Yeah, exactly.

Why do you think I like being Attorney General so much? Then we call it as cheating. It cheats to the state, and it goes in our general fund. I don't want that to happen. You know, we're sitting on a huge surplus. We can do more with less anyway in my book. I want that to go to you. So we are, have a, as of today, Amy Hendricks, my great fearless leader in unclaimed property, we have this year alone given back over $80 million. Wow. Nice. That's incredible. And that's your guy's money. That is your money coming back to you. Now, by the way, this happens to be a beer sample Friday. Yes. My name is Nigel, Jason Hammer, right over there. Country singer John Rich warning Nashville's iconic Broadway honky-talk bars facing mass closures as property tax bills skyrocket. Well, you don't say. That's a problem that sounds familiar, doesn't it, Hammer? And you've been down. You're very familiar you and your family with the Broadway portion of Nashville. Chris Hammer was down there twice in like a three week span earlier this year. Went down for the IndyCar race and then went back for a work-related thing. I love the Broadway strip there in Nashville, but leave it to local politicians to screw it up and tax these people into oblivion. Like the war on successful people is making it so nobody even wants to be there. So all of these iconic bars and honky tonks, as they call them, on that strip. which most of them have a tie-in to like a famous country singer. Yeah, big corporate sponsors and stuff. Right. And I think what's happening is you're seeing people getting greedy in terms of the government. Well, and Nashville has been growing in popularity as a tourist destination. So they're getting this new football stadium down there, and I believe it's going to have retractable roof so they can do final fours and, you know, other types of convention events. They're going to become one of those destinations that... are in the rotation now because of that strip. But instead of embracing that, the politicians were like, well, let's see how much more we can bring in for ourselves by screwing over the people that made us what we are. That sounds familiar. Right. So their property tax goes up 400%. Meanwhile, here in Indianapolis, another really good convention town, our wheel and excise tax goes up 400%. Wheel tax. Yours is gone personally up 4%. 400% hammer. So any vehicle you own in the past, it would be 20 bucks, right? Moving forward, starting January 1st, $100 for each vehicle. So we have four vehicles under my name and my family. So that's an extra 400 bucks. Why don't you just take me out back and kick me in the junk while you're at at Indianapolis? And then they'd still have the nerve to ask you for another couple hundred dollars after they do that to you.

And then they brag about glow in the dark trails but tell you, we couldn't make any cuts. I'm sorry. I'm Frank Mascari. I couldn't find any cuts. I'm Councillor Nick John Roberts. I couldn't find any cuts. I'm Jared Evans. I love raising your taxes. Remember these names because these are weasels and you need to exterminate them from office, okay? Gotta have some weasel removal. That's what we're talking about here. And I'm looking at this honey badger that's right in front of me, and I'm talking about weasels. There's a new thing called the 2468 Challenge, and it's taking over social media. Okay. Again, my 21-year-old is here, Chris, he's working. Do you know the 2468 challenge? No? Okay. He knows the baseball one, the nine hot dogs, nine beers, nine innings, the 999. This is the 2468. It's a combination of beers, shots, miles walked or ran, and donuts. So here's a guy explaining how this would work. Allison?

What it is is you have to pick from beers, shots, miles, and donuts, 24, 6, 8. So, for example, 2 miles, 4 beers, 6 donuts, 8 shots. Okay. I have chalked myself into I'm going to win. The record is 42 minutes. I am trying to break the record. I'm going to do 2 miles, 4 beers, 6 donuts, 8 shots. I would love to do 6 shots, 8 beers. But since I'm going for the record, I think I have to do four beers. Think about what it takes up less space in your stomach. So the 2468 challenge, a combination of beers, shots, miles, and donuts. Got to go with the miles first, I think. Right? This is my breakdown. I could do two miles. Four donuts, six shots. I would do three shots before I did the two miles and then maybe have three more afterwards. And I think the eight beers would be the easiest. Cap it off with eight beers after a nice day of working out there after 45 minutes? I feel like after two miles. After two miles. Oh, I need eight beers to. Two miles and six shots. I feel like I'm beating the mood to chug eight beers. How would you break this down? I feel like you're the Jedi of this. Are you kidding me? It would not involve running in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. Running or walking, I would eliminate the walking whatsoever and just add two more shots. Zero miles, ten beers. Dude, are you kidding? It is such a good movie. And we've all been there. It's such a good road trade. I think there's a couple of White Castle by me. And every couple of times I've had a few drinks of my system, I feel like every time I go to White Castle, I say words in that exact same tone. You're rooting for these guys to get to White Castle so bad in this show because that's all they wanted. That's the only thing they would make them pure is that trip to White Castle. Oh, that's a good one. Love that movie. Miss Allison, give me your best food scene in a movie or TV show. So I imagine none of you have even seen this movie, but I'm going for it anyway, and that is The Princess Diaries. Nope. I've seen it. Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, so basically Anne Hathaway is learning to become a princess, and she's kind of a nerd, she's kind of geeky, and they have a banquet scene where she has to eat a fancy meal for the first time in front of all of these people, and she sets someone's arm on fire, she spills an ice bucket, and then she also gets brain freeze.

I didn't realize it was frozen. What should we do? We should take that much to. Just do the same thing. ever experienced that instant headache when you eat ice too quickly? No. That makes me want to go home immediately and not watch the Princess Diaries. Oh, I was going to say, I'm not sure what that looks like from a video side, but the audio of that is fantastic. Ms. Allison, do you remember the fictional country that the princess was from? Genovia, of course. Genovia, that's right. How did you know that? I'm married to a Disney chick. Oh, yeah, that's right. I forgot. Do you know what I have to do every Sunday night, Nige? Have you been paying attention? I slipped my mind, my bad. All right, so Nigel, give us your best food scene. Okay, best food scene in a movie or TV show, hands down, without question. the Christmas dinner scene in Christmas vacation. This turkey tastes half as good as it looks. I think we're all in for a very big treat. Save the neck for me, Clark. Okay, Eddie. I'm sorry.

Why are you crying? I told you we put it in too early. It's just a little dry. It's fine. It deflated. It was honestly one of the funniest, most awkward scenes when we're talking about having dinner in a movie history. And my favorite part is where the cat food got in the jello mold. And Bethany's cat. And he's still eat again. Yeah. He's, oh, man, that's such a great scene. My favorite is where he takes a giant food full of. I'm assuming what is sweet potatoes. smells and takes a bite of it and puts out his plate. I think that is the quintessential Eddie move right there. Who hasn't done that? Yeah, it takes it right out of the spoon, yeah. You could have really picked any vacation movie, like from the National Lampoon series, because if you go back to the original Wally World vacation, you had Cousin Eddie on the grill, Allison. I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark? You're the gourmet around here, Ed. And then you go to European vacation. Now, there's not really good audio of this, but there's that scene where Audrey is just eating and getting fatter and fatter to the point to where she turns into like an umpalump. Sure. And then, of course, in Vegas vacation, when they're kind of down on their luck, and Eddie takes him to the cheap buffet. Eddie, thanks for buying me dinner. Best buck 49 buffet in 10. Clark Eat.

Might be all rotten potatoes, but I don't want to assume. All right, let me jump in the mix here. Yeah, go for it. I've seen a bunch of people on the YouTube chat talking about this one. I think. This is the number one answer on the board. Okay. The cafeteria scene, an animal house with Bluto. Oh, wow, yeah. No, don't worry. Just keep your hands and feet away from his mouth. Don't you have any respect for yourself? This is absolutely gross. That boy is a P-I-G pig. See if you can guess what I am now. I'm a zit. Get it? And that warrants the big food fight that breaks out. You might be right about that one, bud. Here are some honorable mentions I have, Bass. Did you ever see the movie The Great Outdoors with John Candy and Dan Ayckroy? Yes, yes. The old 96er, Allison. Uh, what's the old 96er? Oh, that's our world famous Paul Bunyan's fluke steak. It is a 96 ounce prime age beef steak. And if you or any member of your party orders the old 96er, it finishes, everybody eats for free. Ah. How about you, Chet? People seem to like that. I'll try it. Okay, great. Yeah. Seriously, though, has anybody ever eaten one? Oh, oh, no. No, not in my lifetime, no.

I think that Jesterbubon does it. He's not done yet. Well, he may take a little while with that last bite, but it'll go down. That ain't the last bite. Well, sure it is. There's nothing on that plate but gristle and fat. You got to eat the gristle. Made it meet the gristle and fat. What are some honorable mentions you have, Dan? I got first or foremost Goodfellas, the prison scene where they're kind of involved in the garlic real fine. Oh, yeah. They're eating like kings in a prison. That's number one. And also, number two, I'm surprised nobody here said it, but what Harry met Sally, the entire Kansas deli seed. That is probably the one that's right up there. That is a strong one. Also getting people saying the Kahuna Burger scene in Pulp Fiction. Yes. Big Kahuna Burger. That's that Hawaiian burger joint. I hear they got some tasty burgers. I ain't ever had one myself. How are they? Good. You mind if I try one of yours? This is a tasty burger. And lastly, AK-6143 on the YouTube chat brings up the old Paul Newman classic Cool Hand Luke, where people were gambling about whether or not he could eat 50 hard-boiled eggs at one time. Ryan Hedrick, our news reporter from the newsroom. Ryan, we've been following. the story of a shooting that may or may not involve police officers on the west side. What's the latest? All right, Jason and Nigel. Good afternoon. So we can report and confirm two Indie Metro police officers have been shot. They were shot at 2.30. They were serving a narcotics warrant along Fleming Street, not too far from 10th and Lynnhurst. They approached the house and were met with gunfire. So they were shot. Officers are both alive. They're both in stable condition. We could report that. This all happening about 90 minutes ago, so it's a fluid situation. They rushed the cops off to the hospital, got them out of the line of fire, brought in SWAT. At about 3 p.m., negotiators got the person to exit and surrender. And then they realized that that person had been shot. So he was shot by the police in the midst of the shots being fired. The lockdown that was in that neighborhood, the shelter in place has been canceled. There's no ongoing threat to the public at this time. IMPD just held the press conference about seven minutes ago. They're going to hold another one from Escanazi, but we can report. Here's what we know. The person that shot those two police officers is in custody, and the two police officers that were shot, they're both in stable condition at the hospital. Okay, so that's the good news, right? Suspect in custody and the officers, it sounds like, are going to be okay. Do we know anything at all about what was going on after the officers were shot, maybe before this suspect was in custody? Was the public in danger? Were more law officers in danger? Do we have any more information? Everybody was in danger, Jason. Everybody in that neighborhood was in danger. There were probably hundreds of shots fired off between the person in the house and all the cops. I saw, we saw here at the Radio One Studios on 10th and Meridian, the Bearcat SWAT vehicle rolled by with lights and sirens on. They were sending the house to that house in that neighborhood. So, yeah, everybody was in danger when shots were being fired.

He tracked Mr. Thompson's whereabouts, conducted surveillance along the route he knew Mr. Thompson would take, and positioned himself to carry out the plan. Then, on a sidewalk on West 54th Street, the defendant murdered Mr. Thompson, shooting him from behind with a 9-millimeter handgun equipped with a silencer. Yeah, that's one of those things where I can't watch it anymore. They've played it over and over again. I just can't continue to watch that thing, and I can't believe again that there's a possibility that this guy ever gets out of prison, but it could be, depending on the judge you get there. He's the CEO of Keystone Cooperative. Hi, Scott. How you doing, man? Thanks for coming by. Thanks for having me. Today is like Keystone Cooperative Day. Is it not? Like I've seen tents and your staff walking around with the T-shirts and everything. Tell us what's going on. So we're here today to obviously promote Keystone, Farmer Own Cooperative. And we have a lot of our staff here. And we're heavily promoting our propane business as well as just making awareness for our agriculture. are farmers that own us. What's a cooperative? We're a farmer-owned. So it's a cooperative is a business that's owned by individual businesses. In our case, farmers. We have 20,000 farmers across Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and a few in Illinois that own our co-op. And they really have pulled the resources together to build something bigger than anyone could do it along. So this is like a privately owned type of deal where you're helping out Indiana farmers and, you know, livestock exhibitors and things like that. Correct. That's awesome. So livestock exhibitors, livestock farmers, people that raise livestock, we provide feed, the crop inputs. The important stuff. Yes. The important stuff. That's amazing. So. For those who've never heard of your company, like they hear, okay, Keystone Cooperative, I see you out at the fair. How does that affect somebody when they're at home? Like if they're having breakfast or if they're sitting with their family, what do you guys do that affects everybody at home? So we provide the inputs. So the fertilizer, seed, chemistry that go on the fields. We also buy that grain, and then we send that grain back to processors. We process it ourselves into our own livestock feed. But ultimately, that's how we provide food. That's where all of us get our food from is from these farmers. What about propane? I mean, talk about a little bit about, you mentioned propane, Scott. Like, I mean, that's a big deal what you do. And that's, you know, I mean, I'm a consumer of that product several times over. Nigel very gassing. Yes, he is. Talk about that aspect for me. So the propane business started from providing propane for heat. or for drying grain to the farmers. But we've expanded that business into home heat over the years. So we provide propane to more than 80,000 homes across these states. So it's not just, you know, when you're grilling out on the Weber. That's correct. You know what I mean? I mean, that's part of it.

And that's what I'm familiar with. In Keystone, even though we're farmer-owned and we're founded on the basis of the farmers, we are the 13th largest propane company in the United States. Oh, wow. So it's a standalone. You mentioned earlier that farmers are a big part of what you do with Keystone Cooperative. Are these Indiana farmers, or is this a Midwestern type of thing? Most of them are from Indiana, but we do have farmers and businesses in Michigan and Ohio and then a few in Illinois. Why is it so important to have Indiana farmers involved? Like, I'm telling you, I'm an Indiana guy. I've lived here my entire life. When I hear a company say, you know, we've got Indiana employees. We've lived in Indiana. To me, that means something. It means a little more. I feel like they understand me. Do you guys... feel the same way when you're working with Indiana farmers? Absolutely. And again, they own us. They govern us. Our board is a group of our members. So they're all farmers. Our management's local. We employ people in these rural communities. And obviously, that's very vital to our economy in Indiana. And this may be a dumb guy question, but, like, how many farmers approximately? Like, when I hear Keystone Cooperative, is that five? Is that 20,000? Is it, like, how many farmers is it? It's 20,000 total. And that represents, that's our total membership. But we touch about 50% of the acres across Indiana, the Tillable Acres. And so what's on the horizon for you guys? What's next? And what are you working towards? Well, we'll continue to grow. Obviously, it's very important that we continue to grow to remain relevant because that's what the co-op was founded on, was, again, that buying power, having access to markets, having affordable crop inputs. That's why farmers built these businesses together. And we continue to expand that from the crop input side, but we're also expanding our livestock business. on a pretty significant basis. So we raise pigs, and all those pigs are slaughtered in Indiana today. Do you pay attention on days like today when farmers are obviously affected by the relentless weather that's gone on for the past week or so? I'm sure that's something that you're paying attention to that you have your eyes on. Yes, and it's had a pretty significant impact on some of our farmers. I mean, there'll be some devastated crops because of this. So we're not used to this in Indiana to have weather like this in August. So when we get it, it's going to be devastating because they're four to six weeks out from starting their harvest right now. And they won't recover from that. Speaking with Scott Logue, CEO of Keystone Cooperative, how does the future of farming look in Indiana right now? Like if you look at the last five years and maybe look in that crystal ball and see what could be the next five years, realistically, how are we doing? I think we're positioned extremely well for the future. We're very fortunate to have so much processing. Again, not just in the crops. We process a lot of grain in the state that goes into ethanol.

or soybeans. We process soybeans for soybean meal. That oil also gets processed into energy. And then we all, like I said, with the livestock, we're going to continue to grow and expand that and make sure we sustain. Oh, and we do also on the grain side, we do process pet, we do send corn and soybean meal and wheat for pet food. Okay. And as for pet food. Take me to animal nutrition, because I know that's something Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at a national level has been talking about, like, we've got to get some of these chemicals out of our diet, whether it's the cereals, whether it's, you know, the animals that were, you know, eating from the farm. Walk me through what animal nutrition looks like to you guys in Indiana. So I think that's a really good point because what you're talking about there is more around the dyes and the chemicals and stuff that are added. Our farmers are not putting anything more into their crop. what they absolutely have to, to grow a really good profitable crop. They're not adding extra chemicals, they're not adding extra fertilizer beyond what they would need, and they're not adding anything that leaves residue into the processing. So that's really, that's a great issue to point out that today's farmers not the one participating in that. So I know you've got some numbers here that I think our audience will be interested in. Walk me through the economic impact of some of the studies that you've done with Keystone. So we're a, like I said, 20,000 farmers. We're about a $2.5 billion business based here in Indianapolis. Wow. And we have 250 locations across those three states primarily. We are the fourth largest privately held Indiana business. So our farmers, they have to be actively involved in farming to be a member. And then we're the eighth largest ag retail, the ag input supplier across the United States. And we're the first one that's really not a national company. So we're a regional company. We're located here in the center part of the corn belt. And then we also are country mark, which is a refinery that we own part of. We are their largest dealer and their largest owner. Excellent. I feel like our audience needs to learn more about this. It's okay to be somebody that supports the president or the vice president and also be concerned about what's going on in Iran. Sure. If you've got questions. Sure. I love the way Will Kane presented this. Take a listen. There is frustration, Mr. Vice President, I think, out there on the seesaw nature of what's going on in Iran. We're close to a deal, then we're going to bomb the hell out of them. The straight is open, then the straight is closed. And I'm sure that frustration is shared inside the White House. So I know it's hard to project, but let me ask you, how does this end? What does this look like when and if it's over with Iran? I think this ends with the United States in a stronger position, with Iran not having a nuclear weapon, and with the Strait of Hormuz returned to a place where oil and gas prices are stable for the American people. I think the issue here, Will, is that the Iranians sometimes make commitments that they don't honor. They make a deal. They don't honor the deal.

understand your point about the seesaw nature of this, but I think what that reflects is that we have a lot of tools at our disposal to compel action. And sometimes we're focused on the energy piece of it because we want Americans to be able to afford the price of oil and gas. Sometimes we're obviously focused on the military nature of it. Sometimes we're focused on the nuclear program. So I think what is really happening is that you're seeing a president of the United States at the height of his authority with a lot of tools, diplomatic, military. military and economic, what I think is really going on from the inside is that we're using those tools very selectively, very strategically to get the outcome that the President of the United States needs to get for the benefit of the American people. It really is twofold. We obviously want this war to end before the midterms. Maybe he could have saved us all 90 seconds there. But is there any doubt that JD Vance, and we could talk more about the Iran War and what he just said there. But is there any doubt that he is going to run for President of the United States? He will not be running second field of Marco Rubio or anybody else like that. Although some would argue Marco's still the front runner. Interesting. Like, I got to be honest with you, if I'm handicapping the field right now, I don't know, we've got a long way to go. Sure. I think Marco Rubio is the favorite right now. Now, Marco hasn't said he's interested. He hasn't officially thrown his name in the mix. But assuming everybody is in it to win it, I think it's Marco, I think it's JD Vance. Then I think there's a big drop-off in everybody else. Huge drop-off. And I don't think JD Vance is going to run as anybody's vice president, though. So let's keep that in mind. Yeah. I mean, listen, I know politics are so tribal right now. If you don't like the Republicans, you think these guys are zeros anyway. But I think the Republican bench right now is a lot deeper than what you're seeing on the Democrat bench. Because in the Democrat bench, the polling favorite. changes week to week. At one point, it was Pete Buttigieg, and then it was Gavin Newsom. And now, because of this rise of socialism, you're seeing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. be the favorite. Even some of the betting markets that allow this type of thing have Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez leapfrogging to the front of the 2020 presidential race. Even though she is backing down from some of her most extreme takes back in 2020. Well, that's what all of these socialists are doing. All of them are doing. It's ridiculous. It did that. The Wisconsin lunatic, Hong, tried to do that, but it was too little too late. She ended up losing. There's a liberal journalist named Michael Moynihan, and he was part of the CNN panel last night. And I thought this was really interesting, because again, this wasn't Sean Hannity, this wasn't Jesse Waters. It was a guy that's pretty left, and he wasn't holding back on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she's tried to distance herself from what's being called Woke 1.0, Allison.

I mean, look, that's, I mean, the whole thing when she goes on the ABC show this week with Jonathan Coral and says, well, you know, Woke 1.0 was a bit much. You think it was. Okay, what particularly, well, she wasn't asked that followed question. She should have been. But why is she saying that? Because she was involved in Woke 1.0. And I love it. It's like software now. This is that it's an update to 2.0. And now we don't want to defund the police. But no one is asking the follow of questions. Okay, do you believe in? defunding the police, abolishing the Senate, you know, abolishing Thanksgiving, all these absurdities. But she is running away from that for a reason, because she has higher aspirations. Anybody that has higher aspirations has to walk away from this stuff. What does that tell you about the American electorate? Something that's a bit reassuring, I have to say. Yeah, it involves Woke 1.0 involves abolishing the police. It involves open borders. It involves packing the Supreme Court. It involves getting rid of the electoral, like all of the stuff. All of the stuff, Hammer. And now you're going to tell me you're going to back away from that. They still believe in it, by the way. Oh, sure. Just because they're backing away from what they've said doesn't mean they still don't wholeheartedly believe in that. Like they're all in on it. There was officially no confirmed price tag for Taylor Swift in Travis Kelsey's wedding. So any number is an estimate rather than a verified cost. We're talking about $20 million, according to Forbes. I mean, this is 20 million. She just wants to do the job, but she feels like the school district is pushing so much nonsense that it's taking away her ability to resonate with the students, and also they're screwing with her paycheck. So we've got a couple different clips here. Let's hear the first one. I was teacher of the year at John F. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Middle School in Antioch this past year and Blue Ribbon Teacher of the Year for the district. What you have in front of you right now is my resignation letter. I resigned in May. You can read those three pages at your leisure, but I've heard a lot of positive data in this meeting, and I just wanted to give you some facts from my firsthand experience. So first, district leaders asked me to fabricate grades for a parent who sat in the office for hours until her daughter's failing grades were changed. It creates false entitlement. What happens when these kids lie, cheat, and cry their way through school and end up as future doctors, police, or politicians? When will you protect the future of our society? Some lady was sitting in the office and she wouldn't leave until they changed her kid's grade. Right. And the school caved to this woman. Wow. So this Nashville teacher, teacher of the year, said, you know what, I've had about enough of this nonsense. Let's hear a little more. Second, that same parent has harassed over 30 teachers. Teachers have filed police reports and entire school districts have had, or entire schools have had restraining orders against her. Yet she's still allowed on school property showing up to field trips her child didn't earn and filming other students. When will you stop prioritizing parents' feelings over the safety of our teachers and our students?

I heard you also mentioned that we're closing gaps in teacher vacancies. I want the public to know that many of those are filled with uncertified teachers. My third point, HR withheld money from my employee to paycheck as well as many others. They took 500 from me specifically, and it put me behind on my mortgage. And then they sent out an email saying that they had to do it to pay other employees. When will you pay teachers what they are owed? So it looks like the picture has become a little more clearer now, Hammer. The parenting question is a known troublemaker. Right. And, oh, by the way, they're screwing with her paycheck. Like, I want to believe this is all about her moral high ground. But when you start screwing with people's paychecks, it becomes easier to turn in that resignation letter. I don't believe that somebody that's a former teacher of the year is going to have a hard time finding a job at another school district. Neither do I. Let's hear one more clip. My fourth point, the news reports that behavioral issues are down. They are not. We are simply banned from reporting them, forcing us to keep disruptive students in the classroom. Statistics are being skewed to protect the district, not our children. Our children cannot read and write. They cannot do basic math. And we spend 40 hours a week with these students, so we know them better than the district and those fake numbers.

Yeah, that's, again, former teacher of the year in Nashville saying, our kids can't read and write. I turn in my resignation, and I'm not going to placate to these parents that sit and whine to the administration that my kids not getting a fair shake when that's all they get is fair shakes. And the thing is when teachers like this speak up, and we know this because our friend Tony Kennett was one of them. Yes. When teachers like that speak up, all of a sudden there's a group that want to vilify them because they're just telling the truth. Tony Kennett was telling the truth about the nonsense, the DEI crap that was being shoved on IPS students and faculty members. He kind of blew the whistle on it, and that's kind of how he blew up and became the media figure that he is now. Does it seem like these people in the administration for whatever school district? I mean... They just want to get rid of the students that are there, the troublemakers, the people that can't excel, the people that they haven't been able to reach for whatever reason, be it their fault or the kids or the parents' fault. They just want to move them along in and out of the system. Absolutely. They want them out of their hair. And they want to get passing scores for them so the state looks more fondly upon the school. And the thing you see right now with a lot of schools, mainly public schools, but I think it's others as well. They focus so much on the bottom feeders, the kids that don't want to be there, the kids that are problems, that just want to go to class, sleep, and be a pan in the ass, and they ignore the kids that are there to better themselves, to get an education. To excel. They don't challenge those kids enough. That's the problem that you see so often in the school district. Did your kids experience any of that at all? My youngest did quite a bit. My youngest and Chris, my oldest is here and he'll agree. Our youngest, Jacob is the boy Wonder, right? He is the genius. Now, the problem is he knows he is and he's a smart ass, but he's very smart. His SAT score was like top 5% in the nation. He hated going to school because there was nothing there to challenge him. They got rid of like the academic clubs and all the, you know, things that would challenge him because the schools just have to focus on passing through these bottom feeders. Ridiculous. It is. Jeannet Norman accusing Michael Strahan of white supremacy. Well, I mean, look at Larry. When he ran for office in California trying to take over for Gavin Newsom in the recall, he was labeled by the L.A. Times, the black face of white supremacy. Right? How ridiculous is that? I mean, it's just how unbelievably ridiculous is the fact that we have to sit here and talk about a story with tragedy involved, horrific tragedy involved, and now it's become whose race and who's not and who's white supremacist and who's not. CNN trying to create some sort of Ferguson Minneapolis type situation conveniently before the midterms because they feel like that would be something that would be good for their political narrative.
