47 segmentsIt's live, it's local. It's the Dale Jackson Show. And it's only on News Talk 770 AM, 92 5 FM, WVNN. Depend on it. very much for being here. And yeah, there's a little something to worry about here. And I was laying this out to you yesterday. And I will lay it out to you here again today. Republicans are in trouble. Republicans are in a lot of trouble. There is a new Fox News poll out today. And it shows that Republicans are in a lot of trouble. And it's very simple to understand. It is very easy to grasp. The warning signs are flashing. And everyone should be aware. But it appears there still seems to be some naivete. out there where when it comes to people paying attention to what's happening because it appears we're still in this like this hey everything's going to be okay everything's going to be fine look how crazy they are guys that's more reason to worry that's more reason to worry not less it's more reason to worry They're insane. Don't worry about it. It is not a good argument. It is another reason to be absolutely terrified because they're insane. And their insanity, even with it, they're winning. That's a problem, guys. That's a bad, bad, bad, bad problem. It's an issue. Their craziness, yeah, it's fine to say, look, they're nuts. There's no way they can win by behaving this way. It is all well and good until they win by behaving that way. And if you're wondering what I'm talking about, new Fox News polling out right now. Here we go. Georgia, Jon Ossoff, up 13 points. North Carolina, Roy Cooper, up nine points. Ohio, Sherrod Brown, up eight points. Iowa, Josh Turk, up four points. Texas, James Talarico, up three points. Maine, Troy Jackson, up two points. Now, they're ignoring Michigan, where Mike Rogers is up, but forget about that for a second. One, two, three, four, five of these six seats are held by Republicans. They're going to lose the majority in the Senate. The House is probably gone. The House is probably already gone. But make no mistake about it, the Senate is in play.
The Senate is absolutely in play, and it is not looking good by any account. It is not looking good. And we can say, hey, those guys on the left, they sure are crazy until we're blue in the face because they are kind of crazy. But they're still winning with that craziness. That's a problem. That is a real problem. And you could look at all sorts of different things. Like you could look at the situation in Wisconsin and say, yeah, yeah, yeah. But that crazy lady, Francesca Hong, she was supposed to win by 20 points. The prediction markets had her at 95 to 5. Okay, all that. And the prediction markets were wrong. Why did they get it so wrong? All this other stuff. Great, great, great, wonderful. And as long as you want to rely on, and I just got to put it this way, something abnormal happening every single time, Trump beat the polls. I mean, not really, not the first time. But Dale, he won, that's true, but Hillary Clinton was predicted to win the popular, not predicted, excuse me, the polling had her winning the popular vote, and she did. The whole the polls are wrong thing is overblown. Far blown. It happens. I'm not suggesting it doesn't. There was a 20 point gap between the polls in Wisconsin and the polls on Election Day in Wisconsin. Yeah, yeah, there was a 20-point gap there. There was a miss. There was a miss. But if you're relying on that miss every single time, I don't know what to tell you. If you're relying on the polls being off every single time, I don't know what to tell you. And now, you know, look, gas prices are slowly coming down. The issues they have to resolve themselves. And Donald Trump has to make that happen. The Same America Act could be passed. You could do that. You could see something that could kind of put the pieces back in play. But as of right now, you're looking at this. There's got to be some reality that kind of creeps its way into here. And I don't really see any reality when it comes to the way the President of the United States is talking and the way talking heads on the right are talking. I mean, it just looks like a real mess. Alaska's a toss-up. Ohio's a toss-up. Maine, Michigan toss-ups. North Carolina now predicted to be leaning Democrat. Georgia will stay Democrat.
I mean, these are real problems. I mean, these are real problems. And these real problems that they don't just exist in the Senate. It exists in the House, too. The House is really going to be tough to hang on to. And maybe, maybe, maybe things are going to work out okay. I don't know. But man, it just seems very strange to just be hanging our hat on, hey, these people are crazy. That's number one. And two, don't worry, something good will happen. I'm not sure I buy it. I'm really not sure I buy that that, well, actually, I absolutely know that I don't buy that as a strategy. they'll out crazy themselves. I mean, you go through all of this and you look at it and you look at the House numbers, there are 19 toss-up seats. 19 toss-up seats. And those 19 toss-up seats, 15 toss-up seats, 15 of them are Republican seats. So again, this is a concern that people got to have because it's a razor thin margin. And Republicans really need to pull out all the stops in order to get this done. And they're crazy doesn't really strike me as a solid argument. But that's the only argument I hear coming out of Democrats, or to be out of Republicans about Democrats. Don't worry, they're crazy. Don't worry, they're crazy. Well, yeah, okay. I mean, yes. They're crazy and they do crazy things and they say crazy things. Sure, sure, sure, sure. But they're probably going to go back on their crazy here soon too with the help. of the media. My prediction, by the way, you know, based on what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is saying, oh, that's woke 1.0, and, you know, you see all these candidates, oh, I didn't mean what I said about Thanksgiving and defunding the police and wanting to eliminate the Department of War, et cetera, et cetera. Here's my prediction. Take note of this, because this is going to happen. The Democrats know the radicalized DSA platform, which is in writing, they know it is not helping them electorally. They will soon, at some point, I don't know when, remove all of those radical positions that are currently on their website. They will use the, oh, that's the woke one strategy. We didn't mean any of that. In other words, we'll lie and we won't let people know who we really are so we can get power. Now, their radical positions will stay the same, but they will tell voters they don't really support any of the crazy stuff, which they fully support. There it is. That's the strategy. That's the strategy. And it's been implemented recently successfully. Look at Virginia. Look at Virginia. Virginia put in place a governor that was supposed to be like this middle of the road governor. Now again, nobody should have believed it. Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting that that's.
That she's legit or anything. But Abigail, what was her name? Abigail something or another. She runs and the governor there now has a radical agenda. Abigail Spanberger, thank you. Abigail Spanberger, here's what she's done. Step one. Raise taxes, expand regulations, drive away businesses. They've enacted a payroll tax and a carbon tax. It's an effective cost of hiring that has increased by 22.5% and there's been a bunch of layoffs in the state since then. Step two, an energy tax. We can talk about a little bit of that. Carbon tax. Now it's more expensive there to have energy, create energy. It's going to cost Virginians hundreds of millions of dollars every single year. Step three, prioritize. Offenders over victims and abandoned cooperation with federal law. 9,000 convicted felons were let out of jail under the enhanced earned sentencing credits program. Half of those people have already been arrested again. Do away with right to work stuff. Give all government employees collective bargaining power. And now what you're going to run into is a bunch of issues with labor on the city and state level with their city and county employees. And then the gerrymandering stuff we know as well. She said she wasn't going to do it. She did all that. It's called line. We've seen it. We've seen it. Republicans are in big trouble. Big trouble. We'll talk a little bit more about that. Platform. News Talk 7.70 a.m. 92. 5 FM. W. VN. N. Bill Jackson here with you. Thrilled to be here with you. And I got to tell you this. There are some concerns here. I don't think enough people are paying attention to them. I don't think people are paying enough attention to them. But there are some massive concerns here. And I think a lot of people are kind of missing the boat here. Oh, go, no, don't worry about it. The election's a couple months away. September, October, November, 90 days. 90 days. Which, by the way, is about, I don't know, three times as long as the war in Iran was supposed to last. Right? That's how long we're supposed to last. And look what we're looking at now. Let's get some of y'all's thoughts on the text line. Let's start there. The Republicans are in trouble, but they still do not want T.K. get the save act on the Senate floor for a standing filibuster. They are idiots. Or are they happy to go back to the minority party? Maybe they are happy to go back to the minority party. I don't know. I don't know the answer to that. They seem as if they really don't understand what's coming. and they don't want to do what's necessary to fix it. I mean, you have people in there who are just like, now we don't want to do the Safe America Act asking people for voter ID just too hard to do. We can't do that. And I understand not wanting to do away with the filibuster. That seems to be the real issue. And I kind of support that. But yeah, I think there's a delusion about how bad Democrats are doing right now. But I, they got the energy. They got the energy. The crazy will win a supermajority for the next election cycle. Then by 2030, it will be a beat down. I don't understand this. The crazy will win a super majority. There are no position to win a super majority. None. And in fact, the crazy will keep them from getting a quote unquote super majority. If they were sane, they'd probably be in a much better situation than they're in right now. Their crazy is hurting them. Their crazy is hurting them significantly. Okay? So that, I'll just, I have to disagree with that, with that a lot. You have to look at that and say, look, the crazy is hurting them significantly. They would be doing better if their crazy was tamped down. Democrats surge from Trump fatigue, Trump economy, Trump war, or all of the above. Well, yeah, it's Trump. I mean, don't get me wrong. It absolutely is. Trump is beloved by his base. I mean, I love what Trump does 90% of the time. But the other people are, their minds are rotted by hatred for this one human being.
That's obvious. You've got to overcome that. But it doesn't make it not true. And what I mean by that is you can say, well, they just hate Trump, okay? That's true. They just hate Trump. Now, what do you do about that? Okay, let's acknowledge it. Let's acknowledge it. They hate Trump. Okay. But what does that matter? It doesn't matter why they're doing what they're doing. All that matters is that you're looking at what they're doing. Look what they're doing. Okay. That's the important part of this. Yes, we can analyze why they're doing. And again, I agree with that. We should. Yes, there is a delusion towards Trump absolutely 100%. But. noting that does not change the calculus one iota. The calculus stays exactly the same. So yes, it's Trump fatigue, it's Trump economy, it's Trump war, it's all those other things. It is all those things combined. Yes, all those things matter. All those things are a factor. All those things lead to exactly what I'm talking about. And you can see these poll numbers. I'm putting them up on my website right now if you want to go look at them. They are ugly. U-G-L-Y. You ain't got no alibi. These numbers are ugly. They're ugly. Your mama says you're ugly. That's how ugly they are. And you have to figure out how you're going to fix this. And I don't know the answer to that. I don't, I have no idea. Because I tell you, Democrats are crazy? They ain't working. That ain't working. Now, maybe things change. And people will tell me, well, Dale, you got to understand, three months away. There's plenty of times things that can happen. Well, unless the one thing that happens is the war in Iran stops and gas prices go down significantly, this is going to be ugly. This is the Dale Jackson Show. The U.S. Soccer Podcast.
