No, this is according to Joseph Goodman, a complete lunatic that writes for ale.com. And last week was ranting about how bad it was that Auburn's head football coach took them on a retreat to get them away from all the distractions and get them ready for the college football season. Now he's suggesting that Tommy Tuberville is using a poison pill in order to kill a bill to protect college sports act in the 11th hour. And he is manipulating transgender people to do it. I don't understand the logic here. But Joseph Goodman is still paid by ale.com. So they're not doing very well. That's the best I can do because they are not sending their best. This guy is a little wacky, but good for him. Number six. Federal prosecutors charged 11 different people in what they called one of the largest marriage fraud schemes in U.S. history. A decade-long New York-based network that arranged more than 1,000 sham marriages. in which Chinese nationals paid up to $100,000 each in order to marry U.S. citizens for green cards. And now this whole thing has fallen apart, and they should take every single person that was involved in this sham marriage, and they should arrest and deport. And every American involved in these sham unions should be arrested and deported with their spouse. Yeah, put them out. Put them all out. It's a sham marriage ceremony. It's being done solely in order to get green cards. Put them all out. Every single one of them. Number five. A Jefferson County judge has ruled that Birmingham homeowners who are suing to stop a data center in Birmingham will be able to proceed to a non-jury trial in March of 2027. And there are some other issues in Shelby County with the data center. And I don't know why. But John Rich of Big and Rich fame is apparently involved. And the Shelby County folks won't meet with him. Alative Power won't meet with him. And he is referring to that as a slap in the face. To which everyone else said, who? Which is basically how that should go. But he's supposed to be a special envoy for American landowners.
And he is now advocating for these people who don't want this data center to be built here. And Alabama power is like, yeah, we're not going to deal with you in this. Sorry. Number four. Also Alabama Power, Southern Company, the parent company of Alabama Power, is planning on building a testing facility at the National Carbon Capture Center in Shelby County to get this. I didn't even know this was possible, but apparently technology has found that this might be possible, that they might be able to extract rare earth elements and critical minerals from coal ash. Okay, there are coal ash ponds there in Shelby County where you will be looking at what people consider to be basically pollution and sludge. And inside that might be the stuff we need for computers and cell phones and things like that. Wouldn't that be amazing if they were able to extract rare earth elements from coal ash? In Alabama, $8.4 billion resource potentially. That's huge. Number three. U.S. Base Command is expecting 900 of its 1,800 headquarters personnel to be working on Redstone Arsenal by the end of 2028, with the full move targeted for 2032 and the groundbreaking on the new headquarters planned for next year. Now, let's hope. We get all this going and they can't retract it and move it. I know there's been big fights about that. Hopefully this is all said and done. We can get over all of this infighting and nonsense in this country. It's got to go back to Colorado. I know there was still some talk of that, but yeah, it's expected to break ground next year, a 64-acre site on the arsenal. Sitework is underway with a logistics facility across the road. So they're working on all of this as we speak. And they're working out of four buildings in Colorado Springs and three on the arsenal. They want to bring them all here at 900 by the end of 2028. Number two. Democrats are eyeing eight Republican held seats that could flip in November, including competitive races in North Carolina, Maine, Ohio, Alaska, Texas, and Iowa. They're also talking about Georgia. Georgia's another one that they are also discussing and thinking that might be in play. The new Fox News poll shows the main contest with Susan Collins with a two-point lead for Troy Jackson up 4846. Man, you should have just left Graham Platner there, really. That's what we should have done. But Susan Collins always overcomes. And again, the race will change over the next 90 days. That is obvious. That's going to happen. But look, you want to be leading at all times. You don't want to be behind. And Republicans got some issues. They do. They're going to lose some of these seats.
Time for the number one thing you'll be talking about today. State representative, Rhett Marcus, Republican of Enterprise, has won the nomination for District 2 congressional race in Alabama in order to take on Shamari figures in what is being called the most watch race of 2026, which maybe... It may be true because this is one of those very tightly redrawn races. It's an opportunity district. And we'll talk about that a little bit later on in the program with Sam Cavan and others. Republicans are trying to redraw this. Also in congressional races, Democrat Clyde Jay Jones is blasting former representative Jerry Carl, who is running in the district one race, calling him a coward. for not wanting to show up and debate Clyde Jay Jones, to which Jerry Carl should respond and go, Clyde who? I'm sorry, I'm getting ready for my transition because I'm about to be a congressman again. But Clyde Jay Jones Jr. says that he's a coward, and I think that if he just calls him a couple of names, That maybe he'll come and do that for him. Clyde Jay Jones's website says the US House representatives have forgotten who they work for. It's time to elect real leaders, starting with Clyde Jay Jones. Unless you're a coward. Unless you're a coward. And then we don't represent you. So that's what he's going to work on. That's what he's going to try to do. I will just tell you this right now. Yeah, I don't think you're a coward is going to work. It's not supposed to work either, by the way. The thing is just to call someone a coward and get it in the paper. And look, it worked. It worked.
