All right, of all the people mentioned, everybody is present and accounted for except for Neil. He's probably still dozing from being up late with the election results. That's what I figured to you. He's a political nerd. Watching the returns too late at night. All right, there's a family in California that has found clear signs of a person living under their home. couple and their four children have been renting the home now for three months, they quickly started hearing strange noises and the sound of doors closing and alarms going off. Eventually, they removed a board attached to the backyard deck and found a large basement or cellar underneath the home that apparently they didn't realize they had. Oh. They found several cleaning products, a tarp and a tube that appeared to have drugs in it. Whoever was living there also had a fan plugged in showing they had access to the homes power source. Oh, I had an outlet. There you go. The woman who lives at the home says she was never told about the basement space when she signed the rental papers. Wow. There you go. You'd think you'd hear like the snoring. You'd hear something. You'd hear doors shutting or if you're going to be hanging out. What do we got? Oh, Neil just... Hey, hey, hey, give my banana back. Neil's here. You'd think they'd hear, like, you know, again, snoring. They did little things that they finally figured out, but... Right, I know. It sounds sketchy. I think, and they never did catch who it was, so they're not living there anymore. They left their fan, and it's hot out there. Oh, man. Neil was here, but he's got to make the rounds first. People from the Club Saratoga was unbelievable. Oh, really? Well, you look pretty good for coming out of that situation. I love a good elevator conversation. I don't talk to anybody in an elevator. I love it. want to strangle myself. Did you ever... You've only got, what, a couple floors around here? You don't get into much details. Well, did you ever practice the 60-second elevator speech? What would that be? Like, you just have something prepared. If you're going to be in sales, this is something I had consulted with Amsoil for a couple of years on some of their sales stuff, plus their 25th anniversary convention. And they're... Zig Ziglar was a big promotional guy back in the day that went around the country speaking. And he had a 60-second elevator speech. If you're going to present a product or try to be in sales or motivate people or be on the platform in front. If you can't see what your deal is within 60 seconds, you better walk away. And so it was always that 60-second elevator speed. Kind of like a 60-second commercial on the radio. You've got to get your point. Say it succinctly, specifically exactly what you're promoting, and be done with it. And if people want more information.

After some confusion, it appears we know who the UMV men's hockey team will play to open the Friendship 4 tournament Thanksgiving weekend in Northern Ireland. The Bulldogs will head to Belfast, November 27th and 28th for the annual event, which continues to invite more and more teams to the western part of the country. After exclusively including Eastern teams for its first few years, Miami was the first NCHC team to partake that happened last year, North Dakota and Omaha head over in future years. The Friendship 4 announced first round pairings yesterday. But they put out a different bracket on a couple of different social media apps. I saw one on Instagram. I saw a different one on Twitter. Really? The correct draw it appears was on Twitter. Okay. Has UMV playing Providence in the first game of the day in November 27th, the game that will start at 2 p.m. Belfast time or 8 a.m. on Black Friday in Duluth. Wow. Connecticut and Colgate will play the late game. 7 p.m. Belfast time. That's 1 p.m. Duluth time. The third place game. We'll be on Saturday the 28th at 9 a.m. Duluth time, the title game at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. These games do count on the team's records as they are considered non-conference games. found a venomous snake inside his helmet during practice. Wow. I had it on the list, but I haven't done it yet. The Ma Mel High student felt unusual movement inside his head gear following warm-ups last week and brought his helmet to an assistant coach for inspection. A two-foot cotton mouth was discovered behind some padding. The pit viper was so reluctant to exit the helmet, the police officers had to pour water into it to force the snake out into a bag. Animal services technicians arrived a few minutes later, identified the snake as a deadly cotton mouth and took it to a wooded area. far from the school. They are the second most venomous snakes, Cotton Mouse, are found in Arkansas. Animal Services Director Chris Davis said the player wore the helmet for nearly an hour and was fortunate he wasn't bitten. Well, yeah. A player grabbed the different helmets and continued to practice. I'm guessing he checked it for a snake before he put it on his head. I'm guessing he changed his shorts, too. He's coach reiterated to his team that players should examine their equipment carefully before using it checking for insects. Orp, in this case, perhaps something larger and more dangerous. Wow. You know, snakes. Don't leave them laying around in the ground. That's the problem. Well, they like warm places and cuddly places. Pied helmet is a great location if you're sick. It turns out the evening before is watching snakes on a plane. I suppose, yeah. Now it's snakes in a football helmet. That's the lesser-known sequel. A two-foot-long one. A little extra padding there in the helmet, too, I would guess. That's a lot of snake to put in an helmet. He's lucky there wasn't. I'm lucky that that snake didn't find a hole in that helmet. Right. My finest wind of his head. There is an anti-vetem. For cotton mouth? Well, yeah. Injection, but you've got to get it. I don't know for cotton mouth out quickly. You have to do it. I know when I was living in Japan, the Mamushi was the venomous snake in Japan. And we always, in all the emergency ones, we had vials of an anti-venom there. And I assume in Arkansas, they have it. I would assume because they've got a lot of deadly snakes in Arkansas. They probably do now. We just talked about this last week, Jackie. All the deadly animals in every state. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I forget which snake it was in Arkansas, but it wasn't, the cop mouth is the second most deadly. There were like all kinds of snakes on that list. It was like a lot of snakes. All sorts of different snakes. So what's the most deadly animal in Minnesota? I believe that they said it was a coyote. Yes. Coyotes? Yeah. All right. To which I went right to Wiley Coyote with his Acme rocket and how dangerous he was. I suppose. All right, well, check your helmets before you put them on. Yes, please do you. And always wear the helmet. Sons reptiles. My dad in World War II was in New Guinea. I'm guessing when the Minnesota high school football players all get fired up for practice next week, they don't have to worry as much about the snakes. I would hope not. But in New Guinea, he would sleep in a jungle hammock. Oh. But always left their boots on the ground.

Right after our news then, because of early twins baseball. 826, we had a primary election yesterday. I didn't know. Did we ever? Both Minnesota and Wisconsin and the national highlight reels this morning. For their results. Yes, yes, they did. They did do that. They did. And governor's races were decided on who's going to face who. What was interesting are watching some coverage, and Channel 6 was covering the primary races. And what was interesting is they only really covered in detail and interviewed. The Democratic winners and losers of the primaries didn't. Didn't talk to acknowledge. Well, for instance, Trina Swenson ended up when in the primary in the eighth congressional district here for Congress. Well, obviously the Republican candidate didn't have any opposition to speak of. Well, he did have opposition. Yeah, but not enough to. Well, she barely had any opposition either. If you look at the numbers, it wasn't much. So anyway, so they interviewed her at length, and then they interviewed her closest opponent that really wasn't close. Right. And then over in your state there, Dave, Wisconsin, they did the same thing with the governor's race. They didn't say a word about Tiffany, but it was all about... He had 94% of the vote. It's still no worthy. It doesn't make any... So you're going to cover the close contest, not the runaway contest. Well, the news there is that Crowley and what was their name, Hong? Hong, yeah. Hung? We're... 3,500 votes, and he ended up beating her. And she's the one that said some pretty bizarre and rash things, kind of right in with the Democratic Socialists. Even Bernie Sanders wouldn't endorse her. Well, not saying that. Even he wouldn't. He said, well, you know, I'm really not involved in those gubernatorial races all swear. He had a good out. And anyway, but it was close. And the national press, the national press was betting on that she was going to be.

The winner on the Democratic side of the news. Big news, yeah. The polls, I guess, showed her in the lead, even though she lost. Yeah, she lost. The polls were. And Crowley, who is an executive for, is it Milwaukee? Milwaukee County Executive. And he's a man of African-American descent. He originally had dropped out. and another candidate she was in, and she dropped out. So he decided to quickly get in so he could be on the ballot. He had the endorsement of the current governor, too, which I think helped. So anyway, we have that where he'll be facing Tiffany, and it'll be, and of course. In the statements that were made, Tiffany is a horrible person. He's only going to act for the billionaires and Trump and not. And this is how this is a narrative. Michelle Tofoya, too. Oh, she's terrible. She's, oh, billionaires. Everybody. Nobody. Only the Michelle Flanagan is going to be the wondrous woman. And that race between Flanagan and Angie Craig. Right. interesting one because I kind of was thinking that Angie Craig might have the upper hand. She was a little more moderate, I think, but... Peggy Flanagan was the winner. Well, she was, but it looked like Craig was because she'd been in Congress for a few years. And Flanagan, of course, was the lieutenant governor under all this chaos that has happened in Minnesota. Fraud. She ended up beaten Craig by a yardstick, so to speak, in the primary. And I watched the ads, and the ads on both sides are horrible. Oh, yeah. And I thought, now, who's going to pull it off here? And, well, Flanagan ended up, she'll be facing off with Tofoya there. You think the ads are bad now, wait until they get into the November gentleman. What's interesting about this is Tofoya is an accomplished speaker. She's got a presence. She's got some name identity because of her. She was in sports reporting, sports casting, and that sort of thing. And, of course, they're going to say, oh, my God, in heaven, she's just a carbon coffee of Donald Trump. And, of course, she's going to go after, well, the former lieutenant governor here, where was she sleeping when all the fraud happened? So that's what you're, the back and forth and back and forth, it's going to happen in the general election. There you go. Pick one or the other. And then on the Minnesota gubernatorial primary. Oh, yeah. There will be the first woman. elected as governor of Minnesota. I think that's awesome. One way or the other. Amy or Lisa, take your pick. Amy or Lisa. That'll be an interesting race because some people were thinking, well, you know, Amy Klobuchar, it's a slam dunk. Not necessarily here because the Speaker of the House, Lisa, who beat the endorsed candidates, beat the candidate that Trump.

Lendell. Of course, Mike Lendell says there may have been some issues with the point. He's got issues. He's got issues. So there may be a recount or something. There can't be a recount. Oh, really? No, the gap is too wide. Oh, gosh. You can't, you can only have a recont. Well, there must have been some sort of fraud. Why, of course, he's going to claim whatever. Those damn Republicans are fraudulent against me. It's now the Republicans that are fraudstering me. But you are correct in saying it may not be a slam dunk with Amy Club. are because I do know when we are you know we go up babit ely way and there are a lot of people outstate as you've said before Neil that are not as blue as the urban areas and they she may not get the vote she thinks she's going to get up on the range where she's from I've heard people call... Where families from? Yeah, well, her family is from, correct. But I have heard people who are up there say they are not fond of her. They don't like her. They don't like where she's going. So it may not be as easy as one would think. She's got a strong contender. I think this is one of the first times in a long, long time, that she's had an actually strong Republican contender. Even in her Senate races, the Republicans generally were the sacrificial lambs, and somebody would run. And usually it was not well-known candidate, and they never fared well. But now you have all this turmoil with the state of Minnesota with the fraud and everything else, and you can't point out the Speaker of the House as being a Trumpster. See, everybody, all the Republicans are all saying, oh, my God, having ice and ice and Trump and this and that. And she had nothing to do with any of that. But now you've got all this fraud in Minnesota. And now all of a sudden, Amy Klobuchar is, I'm a fraud buster. Well, where was she? Again, where was she? Again, she was not a minister, not a governor. Well, this is true. And a friend of mine, we were discussing this yesterday. And we were talking about that. I said, well, I understand that. Now, here's the deal, though. She is one of the strongest, longer term. Democratic U.S. senators ran in the primaries for president a couple of cycles ago. Been in since, what did she get in 19, excuse me, 2005, 2006. I think that's when she won the Senate seat. But you're going to tell me, Dave. that she didn't have a hotline to the governor's office. They are intertwined in the party, in the inside of the party here. The Democratic senators, the Democratic governor of Minnesota, they are talking to each other all the time. And the apparatus of the political party is there for all those candidates.

of nations that actually surround Iran that are banding together with their own coalition. Egypt, Egypt, Turkey, excuse me, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia. To squeeze on him a little bit, hopefully. To have him settle down. Well, they all, excuse me, Iran has lob missiles. at Saudi Arabia and some of the others. I don't think they've shot anything into Turkey yet. Well, they better know that. I think Turkey is pretty powerful in militarily. Right. You don't want to mess with Turkey. So that's pretty much friendly with us, aren't they? Don't we have bases in Turkey? Yeah, Turkey's a part of NATO. Okay. I don't think they've shot off anything at Egypt yet. Well, Iran just keeps pooping in the sandbox over there and getting everybody upset. Who's a neighbor with them? I don't blame them for banning together. You're right. It is a sandbox. It is, literally. Believe me, there'd be nothing said or nothing heard of that area if there hadn't been oil there. Other than the Suez Canal, that's a big area. The Straits of Homoos would be nothing if there was no oil. We've got to get the oil ships through there. There would still be fanatical, religious people over there trying to kill the infidels. Oil or not, they'd still be doing that. But the reason why they became powerful is because the oil riches. Because of money. Now, if you looked at evil and conquering empires, if there had been an overall reaching conquering empire, you would have seen that happen where somebody would have come in and taken over all those Arabic states and taken the oil. And nobody's done that. Even during World War II, you saw... the Nazis kind of allying with some of the Arabic, Arabic states. And, you know, it's kind of interesting on how this all goes. Say, back to local stuff, just the heck of it. Jackie, your friend, Keith Ellison, the Attorney General. One by 84% in his primary against a Democrat. There's going to be a Republican contender. But on the local scene, though, the first district St. Louis County Commissioner's race was up on a primary. And Anne Harla, who's the incumbent, finished second to Chris Ellers, beat her by 10 percentage points. And then this John Sosha, he finished third. So Ellers ended up getting almost 50% of the vote. Harla got 39.1 and Sosha got 11%. So that's going to be an interesting race to watch. Apparently, I had a friend of mine that told me that somebody from the Ellers campaign knocked on his door. He's in that district. Really? And he was a big Harla supporter. But apparently, Ehlers in the primary. Now, one of her big...

areas is environmental stuff. So Harlow was talking about, you know, running the county. Socha was talking about fixing the streets and bridges and all that sort of thing. But the activists in the district, whoever got out to vote, what were the environmental? Ellers number one. So now we'll have the general election coming up and we'll see how that unfolds. I think he thought he was going to do like he did in Venezuela, and now he's lost this war. And we're going to be way worse off than we were before he ever tore up Obama's peace agreement with us. all is lost and we're going down in flames. We've lost the war. I don't know. Certainly not ending anytime soon. No, and I don't know if any of that is true, but I got a text from our friend Mike Kaiser, the professor, and he's just freaking out on this. In what way? I mean, I can see. Tromping those guys don't know what the hell they're doing. And this and that, on and on and on. And when I was watching the... morning follies on Sunday with the various networks where they have their Sunday morning news shows they bring on Republicans and Democrats to talk about everything. Are these spaced out so you can watch them individually or do you have to switch back and forth? CBS comes on at 9.30. Yeah. ABC, Fox, and NBC come on at 8 o'clock. Okay. So you can only watch. There is a little, yeah. You can only watch one of the three. Fox, actually, if you want to stick around, rebroadcast theirs at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. So if you want to catch. So what I'll end up doing is all at 8. I'll go back and forth between NBC and ABC and try to go back and forth and see who there. Sometimes they have the same people on. So one will go and be on the other. And 20 minutes later, they rush over to where they're at to be interviewed on the other network. Darling, they make a DVR thing that you can record these shows and then fast forward. I don't want to record anything. Really? Why? Because then I have to watch it later. Then I'm busy doing it. No, sometimes I've recorded some of them. So you can go on to it. But anyway, this Chris, he's a senator from Connecticut. And he's a favorite. for them to have on some of the networks, CBS, especially. Good speaker, I suppose? Well, he's a Democrat. They say what he was. He's got one of those 10-day beards all the time. Oh, so he looks like rugged. That's the thing to do, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So he looks awesome. And he's always, he's always negative. He's not. nasty he's negative okay and he came out and said the war's lost it's done we're all over and going and i what would have happened during world war two if somebody came out and said that right and now i and kaiser pretty much said that to me And I, on that, and I sent him a text back, and I said, all right, Mike, I'm waiting for Walter Cronkite to come out of the grave and come and say, the war is lost, and we're all done. That's what he did during Vietnam. And Walter Cronkite had such a presence nationally that part of the things, things were falling apart. But all of a sudden, it's like the people.

went against what was going on in Vietnam. And, of course, the folly that was going on there with the Johnson administration, you know, they got trapped. But this is not Vietnam that we're dealing with over there. Turns out Walter was right. Well, anyway. We have to take another break, 854 here at KDA. See, there's an issue that's come up here called flock cameras. And Jackie was chirping on this. Well, Duluth was going to get rid of them, apparently. No, I didn't know Duluth had them. Yeah, I did. I think, well, a lot of them have been taken down for them. That's why I keep on getting those tickets in the mail. Yeah, and I'll slow the heck down. So, and I understand having cameras there to get your license plate if you're running a red light or doing whatever. But all of a sudden these are identifying people from bumper stickers that you'd have on or whatever. And one of the controversies has been is that police. have been following ex-estrange spouses and other people. And this has happened all over the country. Not in Duluth, I hope. But this is part of the controversy here. You've had some people that have abusing the system. And, you know, oh, that's a good looking gal. Let's check out where she lives. Right. Bring the camera. Now, and it's not even just that, because that is a sad, unfortunate side of it. To me, what makes me really, really uncomfortable to flock cameras is you are now seen as part of literally a flock, and you don't have an identity, you don't have any privacy. Everything is gone without your consent. And a lot of people who do all the selfies and post everything, they're doing that because they're okay with it. But when you've got someone sneaking and sniffing around where you don't know and you don't want them to, That's not what a flock camera is for. And I think it's sucking up our freedoms and our individuality. I don't like it. It's troubling because now I see when I come down central influence, I see all these people that go zipping by me at 50 miles an hour and it's a 30. And I'm going... Well, here's the flock cameras when you need them. Well, and I'm going 35-38, and these people just blast on past me. So if you had flock cameras up there, so who's going to get the ticket? Is that guy going to get the ticket, or am I going to get a ticket because I'm going 35? So now... You're within the speed limit. So how are we going to create the paranoia here? And how far... So here we have some of these issues that are more dramatic. And now you're ticking people off. I don't know. And you've got some of these other, for instances that Jackie mentions. Well, one of the thing that I heard, too, is that they're going to maybe limit the access. You can't get at the flock information without a search warrant. It doesn't appease me at all. I don't want them out there.

We don't need our government to be doing that to us. This isn't the right way to be a democracy. Well, that's exactly what China's been done to everybody over there. Then look at them, I know.
