It's all talk on a Friday morning. I'm Kevin D's coming to you from the Golden Tower of the Fisher Building. That's right. It is Friday. It is the weekend. I'm going to see comedian Nate Bargettsey tonight at Little Caesar's Arena with my daughter and some family friends. I think this dude is hilarious. I'm really excited. I haven't been to a comedy show in a couple of years, and I really like comedy shows. I need to start going to some of the local comedy clubs too as well. I don't ever remember having a bad time. after seeing a comedian. Anyway, I'll report back to you on Monday on how the big show was. Also, we got the big Dream Cruise rolling down Woodward Saturday. A million people are going to flood the, what is it, 19-mile stretch of Woodward from Ferndale to Pontiac. Thousands of cars at the Dream Cruise. Can't wait for that. And the Tigers... The Detroit Tigers are playing at Comerica Park tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday against the White Sox. And if we win all three games, the Detroit Tigers will be in first place in the division. Unbelievable things to do this weekend. For more, let's bring in Taylor Vitani with this weekend with Taylor Vitani. Good morning. How are you? Hello, hello. How are you, Kevin? I'm doing great. I'm excited. You got a riddle for us today? I do. Are you ready for it? I'm ready. Okay. I am a rock group that has four members, all of whom are dead, one of which was assassinated. Who or what am I? All right. I am a rock group that has four members, all of whom are dead, one of which was assassinated. Give us a call. If you have an idea of what that answer is, don't Google it. Don't Google it. But if you know, give us a call or give us a text and let us know what you think. All right, what do we got going on this weekend? I'll start with one of my favorites that happen every year, the Caseville Cheeseburger Fest. The 27th annual Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival takes place from Friday, August 14, to Sunday, August 23rd. This popular 10-day tropical beach party transforms the small lakeside town of Capeville into a Jimmy Buffett-inspired paradise on the Saginaw Bay. The event typically draws an estimated 200,000 visitors looking for burgers, live music, and family-friendly island vibes. This is a free entry event located right in the heart of Caseville. For more information, you can find that on Michigan or My Michigan Beach.com slash cheeseburger dash in-caseville. Yeah, Caseville is beautiful. The thumb area is absolutely gorgeous. If you haven't been up there, it's great. This is the most- Yeah. Oh, did you? Okay, cool. Yeah, the Caseville Cheeseburger Fest is the most chaotic time to be up there. But it's also a ton of fun. If you want to get away from the Dream Cruise, that's a great place to go. What else we got? We have the Armada Fair, the 154th annual Armada Fair runs from August 17th to August 23rd in Armada, Michigan. It is a historic week-long agricultural and community tradition celebrating local farming, youth 4-H organizations, and family entertainment, with Grancy and Moore Sports live concerts in a full carnival midway, gate admission fees for adults, 13 and over, $10 per day, children ages 10 to $12, $5 per day, and children 9 and under are free all week.

Seniors, ages 62 and up, are $9 per day, and military personnel and caregivers with ID free daily. Weekly pass and all-week admission armband. It's available for $60. But access to all animal barns, 4-H agricultural exhibits, and all main grandstand arena events like the demolition derby and tractor poles, that's all free. Parking costs $5 a day. or $25 for a weekly pass, cash only. And Carnival rides, the daily unlimited ride wristband, range from $25 to $35 depending on the day, though Tuesday features a special $2 per ride promotional window. That's a great way to wrap up this summer. What else we got? 2026, Quake on the Lake, presented by BCM roofing. And my husband told me to plug this one. That's August 15 and 16th at Pontiac Lake Recreation Area. The roar of inboard hydroplane racing makes its triumphant return to Pontiac Lake after a 10-year absence. Several different classes of hydroplanes will be going deck to deck right in our own backyard. Almost all inboard classes will be there. From small jet ski engine power boats all the way up to an exhibition of a supercharged V8 Grand Prix and everything in between. Races are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Spectator viewing is available at Pontiac Lake Beach. There will be vendors, food trucks, and a great place to spend the weekend with family. The event is free to attend. However, it is at a state park. So if you have a recreation pass, you can just come in. If you don't, there's a $20 per car fee. So you can find more information on that at Quake on the Lake Facebook page. All right, very cool. What music's in town? Yeah, there's lots of concerts happening this weekend. I'll start with Brian Adams on his role with the punches tour with special guest Pat Benatar and Neil Giroldo. Saturday, August 15th, Little Seas Arena at 7.30 p.m. Let's see. We got Bonnie Raid. I love Bonnie Raid. I wish I could go to this one. This is August 19th at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids at 730. And then Gladys Knight is Tuesday, August 18th, that Fisher Theater, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, Detroit, at 18th at all these concerts through any ticket purchasing website or app. The best price that I usually find are either on Ticketmaster, ATG, Vivid Seats, Seat, and the Detroit Event website actually has pretty good deals, too. Fisher Theater is a great place to watch a show. Gladys Night, Tuesday, August 18th, it's going to be fabulous. All right, whose birthday is it? Milakunas turns 43 today. Halle Bari Weiss turned 60 today, which literally smacked me in the phase. I couldn't believe it. Magic Johnson is 67 today, and Steve Martin is 81. I actually know all of those people this time. I think that's the first time I've known everybody that you've mentioned. Yeah. All right. Happy birthday. Steve Martin, 81. He's doing great. Magic Johnson is 67. How can that be, let alone Halley Amy Coney Barrett's 60? All right. What's going on in history this week?

Let's see, August 16, 1996. At the Brookfield Zoo near Chicago, a three-year-old boy fell into a gorilla enclosure. A female Lolan gorilla in the enclosure became an international hero by cradling the unconscious child and carrying him safely away from the other gorillas to zookeepers. I thought that was so sweet. I remember that. August 15, 1953, the iconic whistleball was officially patented by David M. Mullaney. In Fairfield, Connecticut, after he invented a perforated plastic sphere designed to let his 12-year-old son throw devastating curve balls without breaking the neighbor's windows. And fun fact, my nephew actually plays professionally with a ball. So, yeah, I thought those were kind of cool. And that is very cool. The movement they get on the ball and the professional wiffle ball is incredible. I have a friend in that league, too. Very cool. And that was pretty much it for that. What do we got for holidays? And the national holidays today, National Creamsicle Day. I love creamsicle, World Lizard Day, and, of course, National Football Day. National Whiffleball Day, good timing for that. Very cool. Congratulations to Jackson playing in the minor league. Very cool. World Lizard Day, I don't care to participate in that. National Cream Circle Day, sure, sure, why not? All right, let's bring up Mark in Windsor. He's got an answer for the riddle. The riddle is I am a rock group that has four members, all of whom are dead, one of which was assassinated. Mark, welcome to all talk. Hi, Kevin. How are you? Doing great. Thanks for calling. Good. I'm not very comfortable with my answer. I said the Beatles, because the only assassinated rock star I know is John Lennon. All right. Taylor, what do you think? That's a great guess, and that was actually my first guest, too, but that's not it. All right. Thanks for trying, Mark. I'm afraid ring those are a lot. Sorry about that. No, that's great. That's a great guest. Laura has a texter. I do. Bob and Commerce Township said Mount Rushmore. Taylor, what do you think? That's right? Yeah, that's it. Mount Rushmore, a rock group, yep, four members, yep, all of them are dead. Yep, one which was assassinated. That's so clever. That's very fun, very cool. Yeah. All right. Well, Taylor, have a wonderful weekend this weekend with Taylor Vitani. Appreciate it. Thanks so much. All right. Laura Heson, what's going on this weekend? We are, I'm going to celebrate a friend's birthday. We're going to do a jewelry-making class and then dinner. On Woodward? No, Clarkston. And then I'm going to have some friends over on Sunday. Very fun, very fun. Danielle?

I'm going to paint my best friend's house, and then tomorrow we're going to a birthday party and the Hillary Duff concert. We didn't get to hear from you on whether you love or hate the Dream Cruise. We talked to everybody else. Daniel, are you a lover or hate or the Dream Cruise? I've never been, so I guess it's fine. But she wants to go. Disclaimer, she just said earlier she wished she was able to go. Yes, because we have a group of about 40 people that are going, and I want to hang out with them. But you're going to a concert. No, you're going, what are you doing? You're painting instead? That painting is tonight, the concert. is tomorrow and also the birthday party is tomorrow. All right. My whole Saturday's gone. Your whole Saturday's gone. All right. Well, next year, you get your 40 friends to come back and we'll do it again next year. They do it every year. The big dream cruise, it'll be 32 next year. 31 this year. Yeah, it's going to be crazy down there. Don't go try and run errands in the Woodward area this weekend. There's going to be about a million people there tomorrow. Tens of thousands of cars. If you're into that, go do it. It's worth a try. It's a lot of fun. Go check out the Tigers. They play tonight at 640. Tomorrow at 110 and Sunday at 140, they're trying to get into first place in their division. They have been red hot and a ton of fun. All right, I hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for all the calls and all the texts and being a part of the show. That's going to do it for all talk. Paul W. Smith is off today. Eric Larson is in. Focus is next on W.JR.
