And the complaint being that nobody told me that the mats were moving to the Valley Center. You know what they call a minority owner in business? They probably not much at all. They don't call it. I was going to say they don't call it all. They don't have to. So I'm surprised as smart as he is about business that he is shocked, truly shocked to learn that they would make decisions and not tell him. Yeah, what does he still own like 30% or something like that? I don't care if he owns 49.9%. You're the minority owner. You don't get, they don't have to tell you anything. Yeah. And they didn't. Apparently. Yeah. Kind of like working here. Yeah, exactly. They don't tell us anything. Tell us a thing. They don't tell us nothing. Are you kidding me? That's why we were surprised to see it. Oh, no. You weren't supposed to. What? What? Well, good morning. It's 508 among our top stories. Now, yesterday, this happened during the show, but about 6.30 in the morning, there was a road rage incident, apparently, out on I-20, right past Hewlin Mall. And a woman lost her life. The story that we're getting from witnesses is a man just pulled up next to this car and just opened fire into the car. And this was a lady who worked for a school district on her way. She was a teaching assistant. And police got there and she was gone. There was nothing anybody could do for her. They arrested the guy. Yeah. Because if you get angry with someone on the road, the appropriate response, obviously, is just to start firing guns at him. Yeah, it's to end their life. Come on, man. They arrested a guy. He's 37 years old. If he is the one who did it, I hope they fry him. Yes, I do too. I mean put him in Old Sparky on Simmer. You know, honest to God, you cannot have... Don't have to dust it off. And put a TV dinner in his lap. Exactly. So at least you get something out of it. You cannot... We cannot continue on this track. Life is stressful. Life is very stressful in the United States. We have created a stressful existence in this country. And people don't know how to react to it. That's why you see me. I'm always... I try to be as laid back as possible. It doesn't mean I don't ever get angry, but I really do try. And I wasn't always that way. When I was a kid, I was the guy driving around screaming and waving his fist at people and honking and all that. Now that's Carla. Exactly. Yes. I have the same thing. I have that torch on her. Yeah, I had the same thing yesterday. Ann and I were going to Mansfield. And in the lane on 287, there was a piece of machinery being taken to someplace. It took up both lanes. Yeah. Both lanes. I know it's frustrating on one of those double wides or whatever. Yeah, I don't know what it was, but nobody could get by on the right, nowhere. Yeah. And it went on for miles. Finally, I got by going on the...

Yeah, I've encountered him before. Yeah. I've come to driving in on the Dallas North Tollway. I've come to a point, it was in Addison. There were two cars that were perpendicular to the road, nose to nose with each other in a road rage incident. I mean, traffic was starting to back up, and they're just sitting there. And finally, they took off. One of them got away. But, I mean, these idiots are sitting there in their car, nose to nose, blocking all lanes of traffic. In the middle of a freeway, in the middle of the night, and I kept thinking, I cannot believe there's not an officer who hadn't discovered this yet. But nobody saw it. And then one took off, and they were chasing. One was chasing the other. And I think what is wrong with people? You're putting everybody else in danger. And what I say to people like that is, what if it's your whatever, sister, wife, daughter, son, loved one, you know, friend, whatever, that ends up being a victim of this? You're getting so angry over something that you don't really have any control over any way. I've had people cut. I have people cut me off almost every morning. And I just kind of go, oh, you've got to be kidding me. I get out of people's way. When they come pulling up on my bumper, I move. You know, it may be an emergency. You never know. Right. I don't want to be the guy to block them off. Yeah, exactly. Or be the guy that goes, I don't have to move over. But, you know, there's no reason to get that angry people. Settle down. No. But it's a stressful life we live. We have created for ourselves in the United States a very stressful existence. Everything is stressful. I think would help road rage immensely. If you could have one of those electric... type of signs on the back bumper of your car, and you can type in things. I like that idea. You know? Yeah. With murder in the shooting death of Latavia Davis, investigators say witnesses reported that Lawrence pulled alongside the victim's car in open fire before driving off. The Plano School Board voted to fire the principal who reportedly took no action after hearing accusations of abuse in her school. Brinker Elementary Principal Jennifer King named in a lawsuit that claims a former teacher was accused of inappropriately touching multiple students, and when it was brought to King's attention, she did nothing. Concerns are growing that foreign exporters are routing goods through third countries to evade U.S. tariffs. China, Panama, Mexico, Colombia, among more than 40 countries, identified as posing a high transshipment risk. The process involves routing goods through an intermediary country before they enter the United States under a different country of origin, potentially qualifying for lower tariffs. More than 20,000 students in Texas have returned their school vouchers. Over two-thirds were previously enrolled in public schools. More than 122,000 have been awarded the vouchers, but using it is a little tougher. Private schools can always tell you no or charge tuition much higher than the voucher amount. There's been a lot of buzz around Mark Cuban being interested in buying the Dallas Cowboys stocked at the same time Jerry Jay Jones said he was open to the idea. Now Jerry says, no, not right now. He also said he likes Mark Cuban and his human quality and experience. So the idea, not necessarily off the table. Wouldn't that be interesting if Mark Cuban goes from being the Maverick owner to the Cowboy owner? It would. Does he have that kind of scratch? I don't think so, no. He could get a part of the team. Yeah, I was going to say he'd have to get all of it. Get another 30%. Cowboys is the number one in the NFL. Yeah, 17 something. billion a buttload he'd get another 30% share nobody would tell him what's going on over there either that's true very true 523, Rory O'Neill is our national correspondent. We spoke earlier. Luigi Mangione is, he and his lawyers, he's the guy accused of shooting the United Health Care CEO in New York a couple of years ago. They're having a clandestine meeting today with the feds, and nobody seems to know what that's about. Well, it's going to happen in the federal courthouse, and we're not exactly sure what the deal is just yet. And really, we're just speculating that a plea deal could happen, but his trial is expected to happen on the federal charges. just a matter of weeks. And that's why we expect some sort of a plea deal perhaps happening in today's hearing. Now, he is facing federal charges that relate to interstate stalking resulting in death. And actually, he faces a harsher penalty on those federal charges, essentially a sentence that would not life without parole, than he would in the state charges where he's facing murder and weapons charges.

What's the sense in pleading rather than going to trial if he's facing such terrible charges on two levels? State of New York doesn't have the death penalty, so statewide that's off the table. And the judge had thrown out the potential of a federal death penalty earlier this year. So that's why we're curious to see what kind of a deal could be reached. Also, it's interesting that there are double jeopardy laws in New York that are pretty aggressive, meaning you can't be tried for the same thing repeatedly. Some have argued that, well, look, if you're charging him federally with interstate stalking resulting in death, isn't that the same thing as murder? So we'll have to see what kind of a deal could be agreed to today, what it might cover. And one of the interesting things is that in a plea deal in federal court, you don't believe the same way we've all seen on law and order. You don't say, well, all right, we'll agree to 15 years or whatever it may be. Instead, it's fully at the discretion of the judge. But it does give a defendant an opportunity to plead their case. at that sentencing hearing, something that he wouldn't be able to do at a federal trial. So that could be a factor in this, essentially trying to gin up a good story just before you're sentencing here. So are they hoping for a lesser sentence then if they go and they play ahead of time? Right, because the plea deal in the federal court isn't agreed to with the same kind of sentence that we're used to seeing in state court. Instead, it's at the discretion of the judge. Okay. All right. So he goes, he pleases guilty or whatever. He gets a sentence in the federal court. Doesn't that hurt his chances of being acquitted in the state court? It may. It's going to depend on exactly on what charges are being brought here. And there could also be a plea deal on the state side of things as well. So that could also happen. So there's a whole lot of speculation going into this hearing. The state charges are expected to start in January with that trial. So there's a lot going on in the next few months in this case. Remember, this is all about the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was shot and killed in the streets of New York back in 2024. I know it seems like a lot. long time ago, but by court standards, this case is moving rather quickly. It sounds like either way, he's going to prison somewhere. Right. It's doubtful he's ever going to walk free again. According to either of these deals, heck, there's even a Pennsylvania charge that he could get drummed up on prosecutors in New York and Pennsylvania, where he was actually arrested after that five-day manhunt. certainly to guarantee that he won't be set free. But listen to the 650,000 Camry vehicles are being recalled worldwide.

Wow. Yeah, the hybrids, pretty much everything. Camrys are indestructible. They're great cars. You can drive those things for 500,000 miles more. Yeah. So that's kind of disappointing. This is just a display thing, but still, you know, you want them to get it right the first time. Absolutely. Anyway, if you own a Camry. 2025 and 26 models, I think. I think so, yeah. That's right. And honestly, if you think about it, I did quite the rabbit hole dive on Crisco yesterday because, I mean, I'm... I've known about Crisco all my life. My grandmother used it. Like you said, you know, you grew up eating things with, you made. Crisco still, I still have some in my cabinet today. I remember, in my grandmother, I remember she had to open the Crisco with a handheld opener. And she dipped it out. It was white, and you had to dip it out and put it in the pan and let it melt. Yeah, gosh. Anyway, go ahead. Yeah. I don't know why I interrupt. Yeah.

They were actually kind of ahead of their time, if you think about it, because you know how the trend now and has been for a few years is like plant-based everything, right? They were plant-based, this and that and the other. That was kind of their focus when they came out. They were like, oh, this is an alternative to lard and butter. It's, you know, all vegetable, which is like they were doing the plant-based thing before it was cool. It was cool. They were plant base when plant base wasn't cool. Wasn't that a song house? Thank you. I always thought Chris Go started out as like a mechanical lube or something. It did. Yeah, they used it on machinery. There are 588 recipes on their website. That may be one of them. I'll be to look at all of them. But I can tell you, they do have the one for the frosting. They have one for fried chicken, one for pie crust and chocolate chip cookies. And they also have a recipe for seasoning your cast iron skillets with... Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, of course. Yeah. I was told. They actually have the recipe for that on their website. I loved it. You know, I shouldn't say this, but it just, if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was listening to this broadcast right now, he'd just shoot himself with that. I'm telling you. I think we could definitely convert him to Crisco if he's not already, you know, accustomed to that. Tony, you've done a deep dive. I have to ask you this. I was told at one time that Oreo filling used to basically be Crisco. in sugar. When you were doing your deep dive, did you discover that or no? I did not find anything out about that. But you know, having having had that amazing frosting that's made with Crisco, I can see it. Very possible. Brent crude at 87, a little over 87 a barrel in West Texas intermediate, almost 82 a barrel. And that's where it stands right now. We're kind of in a... You know, we're kind of in a doldrum here. I haven't seen anything above 385, though. No, I haven't either. That's the highest that I've seen. Yeah. So far. What did you say was up by you? Three and five. And I paid $3.85 yesterday. Yeah, I paid $3.85. Yeah. I'm going to wait until Sunday to fill up. I'm still trying to get as many miles out of this one tank. as I possibly can.
