Chenoweth Golf Course

93.5-1590 W-A-K-R. And with us right now, it's a Friday morning. Love bringing me in. He's been part of this morning show for over 20 years. He is my teaching professional. He's my morning show golf pro. He's also. The teaching professional Windmill Lakes Golf Club, and that's Dan Doc with us here in 93.5, 1590 WACR. Dan is one of the architects of our wonderful golf guide that you have to check out at wakr.net, wakr.net. He worked with us to put this together. It is just terrific. Well, Dan, let's go to a course in Stark County, one that I think is kind of creative with the holes. It's fun to play. There's some water that comes into play, and that's Chenowicz. Let's talk a little bit about that course. Yeah, do you know what? Chenow is a fantastic course. Great location. You actually see it if you're heading on 77 south of your look off to your left. Right before you pass Arlington Street, you'll see it on your left side. There's a hole coming down the hill right before you get to Rain Tree. You'll see Rainier in your left as well. But fantastic golf course. I mean, I love playing there. You tell you what, you have to put it in play. I mean, there's a lot of tight holes. There's a lot of holes. You have to think quite a bit. It's not one you want to kind of pull up driver all the time. You have to put it in good position. It's always in fantastic shape. They do a really nice job there. But I really, really have enjoyed playing. It's one of those courses where you come off. You say, wow, it wasn't the longest course I've ever played, but it's certainly a very challenging golf course. I think it's good for about anybody. I mean, there's not a whole lot of force carries. There's a beautiful 18-toll, which is a par five. You know, it's a risk-reward-type shot where it's all over water at the end there. But the greens are big. The greens are really fast. They're really good. The condition of the golf course is excellent. So you have a good chance to get out there to rain out to But Genoa, make sure you put it on your schedule this year because, like I said, I think you'll really, really enjoy it. Nice part three where you go over the water there as well. And it's like you said, Dan, it's pretty creative because you've got a, on a number of the holes, you have to place it out in a certain spot to get a good attack second shot coming in. So you'll use different clubs on the course, which makes it fun. Yeah, and I think it's what this course is that the long hitter might go out there and the player that might not hit a spark and actually, if you outthink them, I think you can beat the long player on that golf course. Sometimes the bombers don't always always win because like I said, there's a couple par fives where boom, you can be real aggressive with it or you can just play as a three-shot hole and sometimes... Sometimes a good hole and a good golf course. Architect will make you play to the three-shot hole. And there's a couple out there that are designed that way. So, yeah, it's definitely fun. Like I said, they do a really good job. They get a lot of play out there. Clubhouse staff is very friendly, and they do a really good job. So I think they're doing really well. They've been around for quite some time, and I think they do it the right way. It's a nice, enjoyable course. Chenoweth, our course today.
