Donuts, coffee, and Pikes Peak are the formula for a new world record set in Southern Colorado

So everybody squeeze nicely in. We'll get to know your fellow record holders. This will be a story of you unfold. So my name is Hannah Ortman and I'm an official Guinness World Records Adjudicated. The record that you're attempting to break is for the most people dunking donuts simultaneously. I'm Susan Itel, born in Colorado Springs. It's Colorado Day, August 1st. So we thought, wouldn't it be awesome to drive up Pike's Peak on August 1st? And we didn't even know this world record event was happening. So we're delighted. McKinsey Carter, I'm marketing director for Pike's Peak America's Mountain. I don't think too many Guinness World records have been set in Colorado or Colorado Springs, so we really wanted to celebrate Colorado's birthday in a really big way and doing that with the iconic Pike's Peak High Altitude Donuts. Donuts! Donuts! We need 250 to set the record. I think we'll get there.

Happy birthday, Colorado. Happy birthday, Colorado. Happy birthday to you. So, is everyone ready? Okay. So we are going to begin the official process for the Guinness World Records title. We will not begin until every person is counted in who wants to participate. So don't worry, you will not be left out. Don't eat your donut. I know it's tempting. And then they will go over the rules one more time. So thank you for your patience. You have to use your hand to warm the coffee. It was cold when I got it, now it's lukewarm. But you know, what do you expect on Toppike's Peak? Joe Rubinstein, the monument. I participated in the most people playing Twister in 1987. We still have the record. I just checked yesterday. I guess we're going to become really good friends. When I say go, at the same time, the record is for simultaneous action. You will dump your donut into your coffee, and this is important. You must take a bite. The reason is that the purpose of dunking the doughnut is to then eat it.
