News Radio WAM 1180, a Rochester man who admitted to a fatal shooting on the city's west side scheduled to be sentenced today to 20 years in prison. 37-year-old Terrence Wright pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter last month. He admitted in court to gunning down 36-year-old Richard Gullwitzer in the wooded area off Orchard Street in May of last year. Police believed the shooting was drug-related. Dave Smith, News Radio WAM 118. We're expecting an update sometime this morning from Greece Police on a serious assault last night. One person in the hospital with undisclosed injuries and four people have now been detained. A standoff at the home on Mason Avenue near Williams Road forced a shutdown of nearby roads for several. hours. Rochester firefighters rescued two people from a 19th ward fire. Broke out about 3.30 yesterday at a home on Brooks Avenue between Fairview Avenue and Gillette Street. One victim was overcome by smoke, but is expected to recover. A dog was killed. There's no word yet on what sparked that fire. Keith Williams, the man convicted a blinding Rochester police officer, Denny Wright, back in court after his 40-year sentence was overturned on appeal. Prosecutors are preparing for a new trial. Locust Club's Sergeant Kevin Luckinger says the police use is there to support, right? So it's the least we can do is kind of repay him and show him that support. I know that means a lot to him because he's told me that about how much it means when everybody else shows up for him and his family.

The appellate court ordered a new trial after ruling the testimony of Williams' mental health was left down to the first trial. A second trial date is not to been set yet. A trial date has been set for both brothers charged in the murders of an erodicoid family. 32-year-old Luis Francisco Soriano, 35-year-old Julio-Cezar Pimento Seriano, will be tried together, but they will have separate juries. Jury's selection for Julio will begin August 18th, and Louises will start two days later. Police say the two tortured and killed a family of four in August of 2024 at their NAP Avenue home, then set fire to the home to cover it up. The trial is expected to last up to five weeks, and a judge still weighing whether some evidence will be allowed. This is radio radio at the news radio, Waddle, D. Buffalo Bill's update. Despite the rain, fans showing up yesterday for the team's first training camp practice under new head coach Jop Radio at St. John Fisher University. There have been 6,700 lab-confirmed cases so far with the CDC saying it's investigating more than 11,000 others. The Federal Health Agency also says at least 423 people have been hospitalized, but there have been no deaths. The NASDAQ tumbled around 1. and three quarters percent. Investors are also digging into earnings. Honey chicken is cooking up sales at Chipotle Mexican Grill. The chain raised its annual guidance after bringing back the popular menu item and revamping its rewards program. Starbucks is also benefiting from adding trendy new items and revamping its loyalty program. The chain raised its forecast after a stronger than expected quarter. U.S. Central Command said the strikes came in response to Tuesday night's attacks by Iran and American forces in the Middle East. Republican Senator Rand Paul says he will take action to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress after Anthony Fauci refused to answer questions related to COVID-19 yesterday. Anthony Fauci appeared in front of a Republican-led Senate panel but invoked the Fifth Amendment over 100 times. He said it was to avoid Republicans possibly using his testimony to prosecute him for perjury. DoorDash starting to take off. DoorDash, the app-based food delivery service, says they've been given the go-ahead by the Federal Aviation Administration to legally use drones to complete deliveries. The company is building out its autonomous drone tech meant to augment human delivery workers known as dashers on the platform, resulting in quicker deliveries for customers, as a drone could take an order when no dasher is near to the merchant. DoorDash's main competitor in the food delivery space, Uber. Eats announced a partnership last year to develop and fly drones in the U.S. Eben Brown, Fox News. And a beloved Hollywood star will be recognized for his charity work at this year's Emmy Awards. This year's Emmy Awards will see Michael J. Two people were rescued from a house fire in Rochester's 19th ward yesterday afternoon. Firefighters responded to Brooks Avenue about 3.30. One person treated for smoke inhalation. They are expected to be okay. A dog was killed. There's no word yet on what the cause was. Keith Williams, the man convicted of blinding Rochester, Denning Wright, was back in court after his 40-year sentence was overturned on appeal. Prosecutor Patrick Gallagher says they are getting ready for a new trial. The case was overturned on appeal based on... an argument regarding the defendant's right to present a specific defense, specifically a psychiatric defense. No new trial date has been set yet. A trial date has been set for the brothers charged in the 2024 murders of an Arandicoid family. Luis Francisco Soriano and Julio Cesar Pimento Seriano will face trial together, but they will have separate juries. Prosecutors say the pair killed a family of four torched their Nap Avenue home to cover it up. Jury selection expected to begin August 18th with the trial expected to run several weeks. I watched her been accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy. Trooper 40-year-old Tasha Evans arranged a meeting using Tinder in September of last year, and they say they found evidence on electronic devices backing the victim's account. Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating after funds were stolen from the town of Walworth Fire Department. The sheriff's office says funds were misappropriated by a former member of the department. The investigation began in February and is still going on now, but they say they cannot release any further information without compromising that investigation.
