In the studio with me, CEO, President, Queen of the River, all those other things. Barbara Sexton Smith, good to see you again, my friend. Hey, Terry, it is great to be here. I can't wait to tell you all the exciting things happening on the Belle of Louisville River boats. It looked so beautiful last night. I was lucky enough to go on someone's watercraft, and we went right over by where the bell was. We turned around right around there. The place looks so good. Louisville at night with the lights on it and your boat sitting prominently out front. Boats. Yes, thank you very much. We do have three boats over on the 4th Street Wharf. And, of course, everybody says three. What are they? Well, we got the Bell of Louisville. Of course. And then we got the Mary M. Miller. And Mary M. Miller is named after Mary M. Miller, the very first woman in the United States to get her master pilot license. That was in something like 1884. Hey, Terry, she was born in Louisville. And she came back to Louisville for her resting place. She's buried in the... Portland Cemetery. And then our third boat. Do you know the name of our third boat? Is it the Barbara Sexton Smith? No, but you know, the BSS? That would be good, okay? I like that. Yes. I kind of like the sound of that. However, the third boat is our wharf boat, and that is what everybody sees a little green and white building with the lighthouse on top. And it's called the Mayor Andrew Broadest. And that is Life Station. life saving station number 10 has all kind of cool history we own all that Sidebar, I've seen some huge boats here in the last week or two. There was a big one a week ago, and there was one a couple of days ago, massive. What are they just stopping by to say hi? Oh, my gosh, they heard that I was over on the wharf, and they come by, and they're looking for Barbara, because you see, I don't know if you can hear the duck squeak. I hear it. Yeah, I got squeaky ducks, and they came to see them. You know what those are? They are overnight inland waterway cruise. vessels built on barges and I can't remember all of their names but so people get off and then come and have a dinner at a restaurant and get back on the boat oh my god it's one of the greatest tourist things that we have because they do stop here and sometimes they stay all night and then people can go spend money all throughout Louisville but we have been negotiating with that cruise line and rumor has it that maybe in 27 they're talking about the possibility of using the Louisville Kentucky docking station as a place where you start.

Oh, perfect. Or a place where you end. So were you married? You all could get right down there on a cruise and leave from home and end up here. And then obviously people that love the bourbon trail up, they could come here and get here on riverboat. Right. All right. So for the Belle of Louisville, though, you have, you still have a half a season left, don't you? I mean, you've got plenty time left for cruises? Absolutely. We started cruising on the Bella Louisville and Marion Miller in April. And the Bella Louisville cruises all the way through Halloween. Okay. And then the Mary Miller, she cruises until New Year's Eve. You haven't lived until you've seen these holiday, these things we do in November and December on the boats. But tonight, as soon as I leave here, I'm heading back over to the Belle of Louisville because we're going to leave the wharf at 7 o'clock tonight. And if anybody's out there and's looking for something fun to do, come on and join me. It's the Motown Sound with Darrell Van Lear. Love it. The guy we all know from Western Kentucky University. Of course. little shout out there. But Motown music, come on. I know. That's all good. It's going to be fabulous. Sugar pie honey bunch. And then, you know what, if dancing is not your thing, we have a full service bar, we have full concession stands, great ballpark food, and we have a really fun gift shop. So can I give you a gift? Please do. Okay. It's not illegal as long as I give it right back to you, which I'm going to do. Okay, so I'm going to hand you your gift, and that's your challenge coin. Oh, a challenge coin. I'm allowed to actually take this and leave it in this studio and not keep it personally. Okay, so we don't want to do anything we're not supposed to do, but that is the official Bella Louisville challenge coin. Man, that is fantastic. You are the best. You got to love that. All right, and then you do all kinds of wonderful things. It's a good time, all the time, on the Bella Louisville, come aboard this national treasure. Where do people learn more or get tickets for their cruises? Okay, it's really easy. All you got to do, you folks, is go to WWWDA. bell of Louisville.org and you can see our whole calendar. You can see the cruising season. Hey, and if you aren't wanting to hear a lot of live, loud music and you want to have a laid back cruise, we have the best sunset cruises on Friday evenings, Saturday nights. Then if you want to learn about the history of the Ohio River and the history of the Indiana and the Kentucky sides, we have history full live narration cruises one hour and two hours. I love it that we own the river. They get the last 10 feet or whatever it is perfect. I don't know. I've claimed that, though. Wait a minute. I went over there. I think I won all the river. You know what the number one question people I asked me since I've been, because I've been over on the boat since June 2nd as the interim CEO, they want to know how long is the Ohio River. So do you know how long is the Ohio River? It's formed, I mean, it's the three rivers up at Pittsburgh, right, that come together. Okay, ding, ding, ding, ding, he wins the first prize. All right, that end, and then it dumps out at the Mississippi. Okay, so that excellent. You are so smart. So when you get up there at three rivers, that's the name of this. stadium in Pittsburgh. It is the confluence of the Monongahela and the Allegheny. Very good. They come together and then they come south and that's called the Ohio. But what happens is the Ohio River then travels 981 miles all the way down that forms our border and it drops out at Cairo, not Cairo. That's right, Cairo, Illinois. I know where that is. Barbara Sexton Smith, you're the best. You're the best, Terry Myers. Jump on board of Belle Louisville.
