Michigan Democrat CIVIL WAR - James Dickson

Coming up here and just a little bit, our good friend, James Dixon, down I-75 over on X, as always. James, thank you for joining. We got... Yeah, we got lots to talk about in the swamp, but we have our own set of issues right here back at home in Michigan. And believe me, I mean, this election that we're facing, and we're just days away now from the primary, and less than 100 days now from the general, this thing, as you so rightly said before, isn't a midterm. It's the final exam here in Michigan. It is. And just a little programming note, first of all, it's great to hear your voice, Justin. These days on X, at least for the next few days, I'm on, I'm at down I-94. My account got hacked last night. What? Yeah. So 18,000 followers. Now I have about 10. So. We've reported it to the proper authorities. Oh, man. We have people making entreaties to Elon Musk on our behalf. Just for an election. That's, boy, that's interesting, isn't it? Yeah, not great timing. I got to say. So we must be getting somewhere. We must be making the right enemies. But yeah, I mean, I thought that hearing, you know, they didn't get the answers. You didn't get that Perry Mason moment where the guy just admits to everything right there on the witness stand. But what you did get, what you did get when you saw it. James, wait a minute. I'll let you land the plane here in a second, but wait a minute. He wouldn't even admit that there was a folder in front of him. I mean, he wouldn't admit that he was a guy who talks that much and who took every single media interview. Yeah. You know, something I noticed even at the time that always bothered me. You ever noticed that sometimes he wears glasses and sometimes he doesn't? Interesting. So you have an 80-year-old man, literally an 80-year-old man, sitting in front of his mirror for 10 minutes every morning deciding whether to wear glasses or not. Do I want to look smart? Do I want to look hip? That's pathetic. And I think that was a window into his vanity. He went with the non-glasses look yesterday. That, I thought, was a window into his vanity. Then you look at the way his office was adorned and how many... photos and icons he has of himself. Dude, when he, when we would get the, the picture of him in the office or the looking at his office and he had his own portrait hanging in in his office at the time. I remember bringing that up going, guys, big red flag. Big red flag. I don't know about you, but I don't have any portraits of myself hanging. Not one. I got my, my mom over my shoulder here off camera. Yeah. And I took myself down because, you know, when she lived here, she had me and my sister. And, you know, since she passed on, I put her up. I'm not up anywhere because I don't want to look at myself anymore than I'm forced to. No. That is not that level of vanity. My wife and I back there, that's a photo. That's a photo. It's not a portrait. And then.

You know, I got other family members and stuff, and there's Trump. I can't remember who made this, but he burned that into wood. The guy that made that. Little things like that here, but, you know, the guy that has this massive portrait of himself shows you everything you need to know about this St. Anthony of Wuhan. St. Anthony. And so think about a guy who takes that many interviews who spent this much time talking and to see him then reduced yesterday to Fifth Amendment, parroting back statements, never able to speak for himself. And you could tell his ego is so active that it hurt him to not be able to respond and defend himself. It hurt him to be, you know, to be reduced to that. And he might never be punished in the ways we want, but we have to take some amount of solace from the punishment we did see him take. there was lots of body language, and I've seen some people do this body language. I knew this when we were watching, I said yesterday, I go, oh, let me tell you something. I understand you can't, you know, he's not talking right now, but I said, just watch the way he's going to squirm when some of these questions come out. In fact, this, you know, so there's no evidence. Ron Johnson. There's no evidence that Ivermectin is helpful on that exact same day. And I've got the... I've got the studies right here. There was a website that was tracking the The random controlled studies. Look at that smugness. I'll mute it real quick so you can just see it. But like, if you watch his body language, boy, it told us everything we needed to know. Now, I don't know if that's admissible in a court of law of the old body language, but man, it really was telling. And that there, right? What he's doing with his hands, whether, you know, I study body language. like lint picking and, you know, hand, those kinds of body language, when you see it at a meeting, that means that person wants to talk and there's something they're not saying or sometimes people will even physically actually cover their mouth. That right there, he wants to be able to respond, but he's listening to his lawyers and it eats him up. Yeah, absolutely. And can you imagine how tough this was for him and what? He probably had to meltdown. He probably had to butt dial Barbara Streisand again when he got home because he just couldn't handle it. All right, enough of Anthony Fauci. I do hope he gets locked up. I do hope that there is accountability for all of these people.

that had to go through what we all went through. And, you know, and when they went through and they started naming it all again, we almost, because I mean, I'm right in the middle of it. We were finding this, but I almost forget some of it. It was the children and the schools. that were impacted. It was the people that lost their jobs because they didn't take the Anthony Fauci, it was the people that were forced to mask up, okay? And then the families that were broken apart because, hey, you couldn't come to Thanksgiving dinner if you didn't take one of these jabs or whatnot. And I don't know what happened to the, you know, some of the families never got back together. You lost grandma or grandpa because they were thrown into a nursing and all of these things that are just... Absolutely. Each, each, I'm probably leaving a lot out too, but it's when you start to look at the categories and you get it all sort of listed out for you like that, I mean, it's, you think about what this guy did, what he was responsible for. And I'll leave it this. Because this, I think, said everything. Anthony Fauci closed everything, but the borders. It tells you everything you need to know. They closed everything but the borders and everybody had to have a shot except for the people coming over. Yeah. You know, I think about my grandmother-in-law. A woman named Catherine Pelham, affectionately known in the family as Gigi, my wife's grandma, and was in that nursing home situation. And so you're literally, by order of our governor, Gretchen Whitmer, you can't be visited by your kids and grandkids who would bring hope to your life and just give you something to keep fighting for. But they're going to move sick people into the nursing home. under the fake idea that there's some kind of firewall that you could put up some kind of curtain and have a COVID wing and a non-COVID wing. Obviously, all those people ended up, so many people ended up just dying instead. And so I think about the Gigi's. And I can understand, you know, missing the mark on that, except not moving, you know, moving sick people in, I think was way over the line. But 75% of the people who died with COVID, let's say, no one, you know, very few people died from COVID. 75% were 65 and up. At no point was 75% of the attention and the restrictions placed and designed to protect old people. It was designed to limit young people from little kids to college kids. And it was so clear that it was about control and not health. Yeah, I'm going to show you this. I'm sure you've seen this guy. You'll remember. It'll come right back to you if you don't, if you don't remember it off the top of your head. But the guy who, and I loved when I saw it at the time, this was one of the greatest. And think about how brave you have to be. By the way, evil thrives when good men do nothing. So plenty of good men stood down during that time.

because of fear. Plenty of good men stood down when the opportunity to stand up. Now, there's lots of people that stood up too, and this guy's one of them. I'm going to give him credit, but he stood up right to Dr. Anthony Fauci and in his face and James. This guy is one. I just watched it yesterday. Again, I showed it to folks and I go, this guy, this guy's a hero. The people in America are not settled with the information that's been given to us right now. So I'm not going to be lining up, taking a shot on a vaccination for something that wasn't clear in the first place. And then you all create a shot in miraculous time. It takes years to create vaccination. Well, it used to take years. Okay, it used to. You know how many years we're invested in this, in this approach? About 20 years of science to get us to be able to do a good thing. And nine months is definitely not enough for nobody to be taking no vaccination that you all came up with. The only reason I'm talking to you right now, as close as we are, is that I've been vaccinated. Right. Why are you worried about me? That's essentially what this guy said, and it was so common sense. It was so, it's just like, again, the Americans that stood against this stuff, I mean, these people, first of all, I think they had a backbone, you know, they stood this thing that I don't think we're going to see anything like it again. In fact, they try it. Remember this. Not too long, though. Good question. What happened to the hauntavirus? Where do they think? What about monkeypox? What happened to all these blue that here? He even mentions, listen to this, there's something about the flu in here. But if it allowed thousands of people like you don't get vaccinated, you're going to let this virus continue to percolate in this country and in this world. Something like the common flu then, right? It's much more serious than the flu. Well, the flu kills a lot of people annually too. You know how many people died of the flu the last year? I mean, not this year, virtually none, but the previous year, about 20 to 30,000. Wait a minute. We just skipped over. Virtually nobody died. Virtually none? Why's that? Hmm. Interesting. It's like they don't even understand what they're saying when they say. I had to show that guy because he stood up to Anthony Fauci's face, and there's not a lot of that. But he stood up and he said no, and he said no in a way that I think so many people could relate to. Again, that's a hero there. Somebody who will, who said, we're not doing this. You guys can do what you want to do, but as for me and my house. And I think more people need to see stuff like that. Anthony Fauci, I don't know whether it would be held accountable or not. I'd like to see it, but James. That's just part of what's going on. We want to look back and make sure that we hold people accountable, but we also have to fight right now. And we got a whole other future to look forward to here in Michigan. And as you so rightly report now on down I-94 over on X, you got a lot. There's a lot going on. I had Perry Johnson on yesterday.

John James was on, I think, the week before, and we've got a governor's race that's tight. We've got a Senate race where the Democrats are eating each other up. And in fact, holy smokes, man, there is a civil war that I don't think the media has given enough attention to over on that side of things. Yeah, it's the weirdest dynamic, Justin, where we have both parties in a civil war right now in a statewide race. You have both parties where the contestants are saying things about the other candidate that are not easily forgotten after Tuesday's primary, the votes are counted, and not easily moved on from. So I think about on the Democrat side, we just had a debate with Abdul El-Sayed. and Haley Stevens. Syed on the far left Stevens, an establishment, though I'd argue she's also very liberal herself. When Syed says something like, there's no difference between electing Haley Stevens and Mike Rogers, doesn't it stand to reason that if Haley Stevens were to win, Syed's own fan base would take that seriously and literally and say, hey, there's no point in voting. And then you look at his grassroots fan base. And so he has this grassroots fan base. Haley has the establishment, the Gretchen Whitmer's, the Debbie Stabenow's, the Gary Peters, all winding up behind her. And so if that plus the outside money were enough to get Haley across, what are Abdul's fans going to say? They're going to say this was stolen from us. They're going to equate it to Bernie Sanders in 2016 and in 2020, where essentially the establishment wing of the Democrats doesn't let the left wing ever win. You think those people are going to be motivated to turn around and vote in November? Going to be tough for them. They've got a real problem there. And unfortunately, Republicans have a problem too. We have two candidates in John James. Really, the two races are the same race. Haley Stevens and John James are the establishment pick. They have the establishment money. They have the overall electability argument, but the grassroots don't like them as much, maybe even disdain them at some level. And then you have Perry Johnson and Abdul El-Sayed kind of throwing rocks from the outside, this grassroots excitement. But is that enough to win in a general election where most people who vote are going to be people who don't care about politics? So really it's the same race. And John James and Perry Johnson have gone at each other in so many ways. How do you bring the team back together? I just saw one of Perry's people talking about John James says his uncles were lynched and that was fake. John James's people are putting out stuff about Perry's dating profile for 25 years ago. And I'm like, ladies, does anyone want to win the 2026 election by telling me what they'll do for me in 2027? I will say.

And I understand all those things are happening on the peripheral. But when I've talked to both of those individuals, they are both very much so talking about policies. They're talking about what they're going to do for the state. So I'm glad to hear that. In fact, Perry yesterday when I got off with him, I thought, you know, may have been the best interview I've had with him. It comes off very likable. John James, I think we right off, came right off, the last time I talked to him was right off the endorsement. I think it was, it was obviously before the president came in town. We may have even had some polling, but also I think we had the wildfire smoke, and he laid into that. And I was, I was glad to see some of this. And I thought, you know, and these guys, We got it. And this is, you know how I am. I'm like an 11th commandment kind of got. Oh, yeah. Never talk bad about another Republican. And this essentially is. And I understand we got rhinos and we have that to deal with as well. But, you know, it's still a rhino is not a commie. Okay. Right. You know, we still got, like, we got some folks that I understand we got rhino issues in some places. Right. But like, it's not a communist. We are now talking about being up against. like about communists, people that essentially, Abdul's not hiding it. He's not hiding this. And lots of things that Guy Benson, even though she's not as vocal on these things, lots of things she'd want to do are just as extreme and progressive from the state perspective. And we can't, look, we can't afford. We can't afford another eight years down that road. We've also had. We've had Doug Lloyd on and running for Attorney General. We've had Anthony Forlini on who's running for Secretary of State. And I find them to be very focused on issues as well and very serious. And I'm glad that they have been out campaigning to be able to focus on some of these things and who their opponents are. Because those folks are just as extreme as well. Imagine that world where you get all three Democrats again running the state. It's a nightmare. It's a nightmare. And so this is a unique case where we're going to have governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and U.S. Senate, not just on the same ballot, but with all four of those being open seats. And so when I look at the four, what I see on the Democrat side is four people who are really going to struggle with men. There was just some polling out through the Glenn Garif group that found both Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed do very poorly with men. Abdul gets 29% compared to Mike Rogers. Haley Stevens only gets 32%. So neither one is able to crack one third with men, with women or with men. And to put that in perspective, Mike Rogers actually does better with women. He gets 37% against Haley Stevens than Haley Stevens does with men.

And so you look at that, let's think about it. Jocelyn Benson on the top of the ticket, Stevens or Syed, we just talked about their struggles. Ellie Savitt, who is soy and just going to be a turnoff to every man out there. He's the opposite of a law and order guy. And then you have Garland Gilchrist. Yeah. There's none of these people leave any room for any male voter who is straight to vote for them. I think there's a huge opportunity. We hear so much about soccer moms and all this stuff. The numbers say men are the group to target in 2026. You know, I do think men, I think there was a Maha coalition. There was a lot that happened in 24, but I do think men, particularly young men. Yes. You know, coming up in college and whatnot and that age thinking like, what is, what's my future going to look like? I've been told that I'm the problem. You know, and young white men particularly too, but like they've been told they're the problem. They're the reason everything's wrong with the world. That is. that was a force. And even on an election night when you saw the big rally that happened in Grand Rapids, the west side of the state, Trump closed it out again there. I didn't go because I was working the morning show at the time. And I knew, okay, this thing's not going to get out and tell him about one or two. And I got a big mic on the air. It's not, it's not happening. So I, but I, you know, I wish I would have. All the reports I heard were how young. the actual audience was. I mean, you had these college kids coming from Grand Valley and across the state to go to this. That's the energy that could help in this election if he had the right candidates. And essentially, if you look at who the Democrats are, to your point, James, I don't think they're exciting any of these men at all. I just don't see. No. And the other good news is that the girl boss era of Michigan politics is over. Yeah. And 2022, the best comparison to this year, five of the six statewide candidates were women. Yeah. And so it got so bad that even Republicans felt the need to play that game. This year, only one of the eight, maybe at most two of the eight statewide candidates are going to be women and they're both going to be Democrats. So in just a short amount of time, the wins have changed. It's the male voter. People have girl boss fatigue, real opportunity if these men could stop bickering like teenage girls. They girl boss too close to the sun is what happened. Yeah, they did. Speaking of which, what happened to Mallory McMorrow? I saw you talking about her the other day. She went skipping through the convention center. uh i guess and what up that you're talking about girl boston too close to the sun is that what happened

You know, if you would have asked me at the start of the year, who I did not want to face in November and the U.S. Senate race, it would have been Mallory McMorrow. Interesting. I think Abdul El-Sayed always had this same problem where he's going to be polarizing. So that's going to bring people out, but it's also going to bring the opposition out. And Haley Stevens is going to be what she is, which is boring. But McMorough had that big speech a few years ago where she raised a million dollars in the Michigan legislature. Then she got a speaking role at the Democrat National Convention in 24. It looked like she was on a rising star. Like she was headed to the top. But then she lost herself. A funny thing happened on the way to the U.S. Senate where she decides to skip through Kobe Hall, all those old tweets come out that show her to not really have an affinity for Michigan. And Justin, I'm telling you, if you look at her Twitter account right now, it's very inactive. If you look at just her face in the last time she's shown it, it's like Ashen, she lost her confidence. And it only took two real events, the old tweets and skipping through Copo Hall, which no one liked, and then poof. And as of right now, she does not have a job coming into January. If Haley Stevens loses the primary, that means we will get two elected Democrats out without even having to beat them in November. Uh, down I-94. I'm, by the way, I'm just scrolling through the down I 75 feet right now. It is the strangest thing I've ever seen. What is it? What's on there? I can't even, just a bunch of stuff that I don't even, like, I'm not, I can't tell us. Like anime type stuff? Yeah. There's this guy. This is, hang on. This is you now. This is the profile picture. Like, that's not me. I mean, I could, I could, you know, if my abs look like that, I'd be in better shape, but definitely not me. The only swords, they're samurai? What do you? I do not. I mean, that guy, and then that guy also got into my TikTok, but TikTok has better systems. I was able to just click a few buttons and get back. With Twitter, they let someone change your email address without confirming with the old address that it has changed. Oh, no. Let's see. It looks like there's. not actually a ton of activity that they're doing. Oh, so this is all you then, right? That's me. 21 hours, 18 hours ago. That's, you know, it could be worse, probably because we've reported that account within an inch of its life. Yeah, this isn't you though, right? That's not me. I am not the official tribal chief, though a lot of people do respect my leadership. So it's a very weird situation to be in, Justin. Oh, man, lock down your accounts. I'm sure I bet by this time next week, you'll have it back. But it is. I think so. What happened is I tossed out my old phone. Someone clearly got a hold of it. I actually was able to use the find my, you know, machinery on the iPhone. It's someone at Inkster. They're literally in my old hometown that I grew up in. And they don't seem to have, I have had a real plan except to purloin my followers.

They also unfollowed a bunch of my friends, so I'm going to have to go back and make apologies. Oh, that wasn't really me. I didn't unfollow. I wouldn't unfollow you. Unbelievable. It's a headache. Hey, whoever he is is still following me, so I appreciate that, sir. Whoever you are, the ninja version of James Dixon down I-75. Who changes the header, too? I can see one or the other, but both? Yeah, no. Listen, it's just in time for the election is the strange thing as far as I'm concerned. I think maybe that might not have something to do with it, too, huh? I don't know, James. It all came from inside the phone. Yeah. I didn't know that old phones still worked once you deactivate them and get a new phone. So my friends at AT&T, I'm about to go visit them when the store opens at 10 a.m. Hopefully they got some explaining to do. Yeah, you got to wipe that thing, man. You got to wipe that phone. Got to get rid of it, you know. Yeah. Yeah, so what I would recommend is if you don't just just destroy them. If you get rid of an old cell, just destroy it. Put it in your own garbage can because there are some bottom feeders out there in this world. I was going to say, if this is the worst that's happened to you because of this, I think you'll be okay. You'll get that account back. Oh, it could have been so much worse. Yeah. It could have been so much worse. So I'm thinking the heavens right now. Yeah.
