The Montana Motor Vehicle Division and Attorney General Austin Knudson announced that yesterday they're extending the fee waiver for some renewal and replacement driver license and identification card fees through September. The fee waiver, which was expected to last through July 31st, was first announced last month by Knudson to... Encourage Montanans to add the new Black Eagle in flight citizenship marker on their credential in honor of America's 250th birthday. Since July 1st, more than 18,000 Montanans or 91% of customers added that marker to their credential. Wow. In total, over 148,000 Montanans have the citizenship marker on their credential. Knutzen said, now more Montanans have the opportunity to update their credentials and get the... citizenship marker added to their ID at no cost. He said, we're giving back to Montana taxpayers. It's great we could keep this fee waiver going longer. Cool. And MVD administrator, Lori. Backery, I think is how you say her name. She said since we announced the fee waiver, the response across the state has been incredible. We encourage Montana to take advantage of this opportunity and schedule an appointment with their local MBD today. So the fees will be waived for Montanaans who come into MVD offices looking to add that marker, real ID.

and CDL credentials. They'll waive anywhere from $10.30 and $60 and $0.50 per transaction, depending on the type of credential issued. So now's the time to jump on that. All right. There you go. I'm Peter Christian, and good to have you along this morning, the questions, and joining me right across the way there. Henry Kriegel's joining us right now with Americans for Prosperity. Henry, good morning and welcome back, sir. Good morning to you. Great to be back, would you? All right. So, Henry, give us an update on what's going on for those who aren't aware of what Americans for Prosperity is all about. Give us an update. Tell us about the origins of that organization and what you're doing right now. Well, we're all about removing government barriers to people's individual success because we believe when government gets out of the way and individuals have the right support in the free market economy, they can do extraordinary things. So we're all about limiting government spending, reducing taxes, reducing regulatory burdens on people, and reducing the cost of living. by reducing government spending, giving parents an opportunity to afford an access the best education and needs of their child, empowering parents, empowering the individual. We're here throughout the year. We see elections as a means to an end, and the end being getting good policies enacted into law that enhance individual liberty and freedom and crushing bad policies that do the opposite. Well, Henry, what's standing in the way of this vision? I know as you're, this is a daily battle for you. So what are the things that you're working on on a day-to-day basis? Well, you know, on a larger scale, we're now, we have two competing visions within our country that's become more and more pronounced. And that one believes that government has the answers and has the solutions. And the other is, the one that believes that the individual does. And we see that in policies. We see on the national level the emergence of the Democrat Socialists of America who want government takeover of industry. You've seen that in New York City, and now it's emerging in other cities where they want government takeover at grocery stores, rent control, et cetera, in the name of serving humanity. Well, those kind of policies did not work. in uh eastern europe and russia and the former soviet union of elsewhere and they won't work in america in the long term our our vision is one where you unleash the individual so wasn't bending in our way really um this ongoing battle of competing visions for the country uh we believe in the power of the individual

not the power of the state. We believe that our rights, our inherent rights are granted to us by our creator. They're not given to us by government. These are fundamental differences that we have. And they are manifest and represented in the competing policies that we fight for or fight against. And there's nothing better, no better time to take a close look at this than this year as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the nation. It's not just to commemorate the birth, but it's also to recommit as individuals and citizens to engage in the political process, just as the founders did and as they implored their fellow colonial too. When they wrote that declaration of independence, they just didn't say, hey, we declare our independence from England. They articulated the specific reasons as to why, and they affirmed their God-given rights. That's what we're called to do. We ask people to think. He has people to be able to speak freely and freely associate, contrary to some, to prevailing thought now, where you see ballot initiatives designed to limit political free speech, which we strongly oppose. These battles are fought on a daily basis, and we implore our listeners to engage. Engage with one of our chapter offices throughout the state. We're in Bozeman, Billings, Helena. Great Falls, Hamilton, and Calisville. We're here full-time. Many of us who work at AAP in Montana, we're born and raised here, and we're part of our community. So we implore you to get engaged. Henry, glad to be able to talk with you again. I've got to talk to Congressman Troy Diving on Monday because I was upset about something he voted and sponsored and actually got asked. And it was his whole house repairs act, which allocated, I forget how many billions now. And when I challenged him on it, he said, well, this was not any new spending. All we did was redirect spending. And it seemed to me to miss the entire point of what the conservatives want. We don't want our congressmen, our representatives to redirect spending. We want them to reduce spending. And he didn't acknowledge that at all. And that really upset me. And this is something outside of him, too, that I, a different second question for you. I don't know if anybody's complained to you about this or not. There are 535 representatives in the Senate and House. I can only contact three of them via email. If it's not one of our two senators or Ryan Zicki, I can't get to them via email. I can't contact them.

The email, I can't get John Thune, I can't get Ted Cruz, I can't get anybody else, but those three. And I think something needs to happen to the Congress's email system because that to me seems like taxation without representation. I know that we can get to our representatives, but John Thune is the leader of the House. I have to be able to tell him what I'm thinking of the Save America asked and things. their system doesn't let me. We used to have actual email addresses. And Koiz's excuse for that was, well, we would just get too many and it would become unwielding and we couldn't deal with it. Come on, listen to the 21st century. We have AI. Come on, be a congressman, be a representative. Do your job and let us communicate with you no matter where you are. So thanks for letting me run. All right. Thanks for the call, Jim. Your thoughts, Henry, please. Let me unpack. Try to unpack that. First up, I'm not familiar with the bill that Jeff is referring to, but thank you for the call. So I really can't comment on that. I will say this, though, excuse me, smoke is bothering me. Troy Downing has got behind the take care of Americans Veterans Act. which I think is a good repurposing of funds. We made a promise to our veterans to care for their health once they serve. The VA system does not serve our veterans all that well, especially if you live far distances from the VA hospital. I'll tell you what. the weight lines are too long. I was talking about, you know, repurposing of funds. That was Jeff's question. Should we cut funds or repurpose them? And I said, well, I'm not familiar with that bill, but I do know that Troy Downing and our entire Montana delegation is behind the Take Care of Americans, America's Veterans Act, which. It supports the Mission Act, which would allow veterans to get health care in their local communities. If the lines are too long, the weight's too long, or the distance to a VA hospital is just too cumbersome for them to get to. We made a sacred promise to a veterans that we provide health care when they were complete with their service, and we need to honor that. And if the VA can't do the job, we've got plenty of local practitioners who can. This is a program administered and begun during the first Trump administration. However, the Biden administration hid the program. You could not find any information on the Department of Defense's website. We provided it through our partner group concerned veterans for America. This act would require full transparency and make it much easier for veterans to access local community care when they can't get it through the VA system. I support. that repurposing of funds. I had a feeling he would use the fifth. And, you know, what I find amazing, Peter, in our day, teenage girls always kept diaries. I didn't because I thought it was a stupid habit to do something ridiculous. But, you know, I find it all really strange that a man, his age, and his 80 kept a diary. I don't know about you, but I think that's really ridiculous, but he did. And I just have a question here. Maybe this is for Rob Nathanson. I'll ask it when he comes on again. You know, I just wonder if the Biden auto pen, if that's enough to actually pardon Dr. Anthony Fauci after all the crimes he did against humanity. What do you think? I have no idea about the whole pardon power of the presidency. I understand it's fairly, it's fairly universal. He's able to pretty much exercise his presidential privilege if he chooses to do so. Even with an auto pen. I don't know about that because that's questionable because we don't know who'd use the auto pen since President Biden was incapacitated a lot of the times. I just find that questionable. I think as time goes by, we'll be able to look back on that and be able to parse that out and be able to see exactly what happened. I hope so. talking ill will about other Republicans. And we're going to come to the point that we're like the Democrats. The Democrats, my father was a Southern Democrat. I didn't agree with much of his platforms, but he was my father and I grew up in his household. And he would be rolling over in his grave right now, watching the Democrats devouring themselves with... pulling people out of that were duly elected or process through the primaries. My question to you is because you guys are learned, you do this for a living on the radio. What is a MAGA? I don't understand. I've never understood what a MAGA is. I'm a Republican. I'm a Reagan Republican. I know what Reagan's platforms were. And I love Ronald Reagan. He's the greatest politician of my time. I voted for him twice. What is a MAGA Republican? And do you see Republicans... turning against themselves like the Democrats are doing and making a total sham of their party. Well, that's my question. The actual acronym means to make America great again. And I think any president, whether Republican, Democrat or whatever, I would imagine that would be a good theme for any administration is to make America great again or greater still than it already is. Other than that, I'm just, I think it's a great catchphrase. It is a great catchphrase. And being just a Republican, I don't understand there's Democrats, there's Socialist Democrats, there's Democrats, there's Democrats, there's Democrats, there's Communists, Democrats. I don't want our party turning into the same thing as what the Democrats are doing, and I'm afraid that it's coming to that. It's far off, but it's coming. And that is basically the jest of my call. The Republicans need to stand steadfast together and not turn into a party of divisiveness within itself like the Democrats have. I think two parties are a good thing. I think Democrats are a good thing. I think Democrats, they counteract the Republicans. That's the way it should be, even though I am a Republican. And do you see the Republicans becoming like the Democrats in the sense that they're devouring themselves? I certainly hope not. I hope that they can be unified and get the job done. All right. Well, you probably talked about this on the program you're part of on Saturday about the bear spray requirement proposal going on.

My biggest thing is, like, I'm not against it, though, but I'm already spending well north of $100 with licenses and tickets and tags for hunting. If these groups want us to carry bear spray, then they should be offering bear spray to us hunters for free. Well, how much, I'm ignorant here. How much does a can of bear spray cost? Well, what's... Well, they're kind of expensive. They're a, depending on where you go, $40 to $50 for a can of air spray these days. Okay. Well, one would think that would be a good investment, just like a good firearm and ammunition, just have some protection. Well, I got various spray, but it was like 10 years old, which I'm wondering how good it is. I heard they do expire over time. Yeah. I just like being tired of having to have additional requirements and stuff for hunting. Back in the day, you could get a B tag for a region. You know, you got to get a B tag for a district only. I mean, I could see that for Rike House. They learned for that, but for us, locals, maybe you have not as bad. All right. Well, we certainly appreciate the call. Thank you so much. Yeah. Good morning, Peter. Yeah. Rick was worried about the Republicans eating themselves. That's been happening since Trump, well, forever, actually, but since Trump bit in. I mean, look at the John McCain. He was a war here. He was a great guy that then he said something bad about Trump. And all of a sudden, he was the worst person ever lived. I mean, there are several major Republican people. I mean, they voted with Trump, you know, 90-some percent of the time. But if they said all that Trump did something wrong, they're out of the, you know, out of the... party then pretty much i mean they got a primary and they get kicked out or even here montana they got the nasty nine whatever that they were you know oh no they they they they voted didn't vote a hundred percent with the other republicans so they're terrible they're rhinos they're horrible you know let me tell you that what that was so egregious is the way they there's a way that they did it You know, it was, yeah, anyway. But that was several years ago. So go ahead, please. No, that was just recently. I mean, it's still. I understand. People, if you don't tell the line, you know, you aren't a real Republican. So, I mean, it's already happened. I mean, and as for, you know, this big scare about the communists, the socialist, Democratic socialists, taking over the party. How many people have been voted in? What? Four? Five? Even six? Oh, no. Out of how many representatives are there? Five hundred? Five hundred and thirty-five when you count the Senate and the House, yeah. And these people are just one of the primaries. I mean, they haven't even one that got into Congress yet. So, I mean, gee, whiz, they're really just taking over the party. I love it because it's obviously it's a scare tactic, you know. You go back to the... Oh, no, the communist government to take us over type of thing. And these are the places that they got voted in. What? In New York City? Oh, no. That bastion of conservatism up there. I mean, good Lord. And even the one in Denver, I mean, Colorado, that was a very blue district. That was, you know, they voted that person in. So, I mean, the idea that they're taking over the Democratic Party, they're just like the Tea Party people. I mean. What I heard, remember when the squad came in. You know, oh, no, the squad, you know, the, was it, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and all those. And Bernie Sanders, yeah. Yeah, well, Bernie and even Democrat. He's always been an independent. So I mean, this idea that Democrats treated him wrong. He's not a Democrat. He's always ran as an independent. The only time he ran as a Democrat was he went for a. president and that's i mean if you're not going to be part of the party and tell you just want them for your president run well

Surprise, surprise, the Democrats may not back you either. So he caucused with them, but still he's not a Democrat. So, I mean, this idea, well, geez, they're taking over the Democrats. I mean, there's always infighting. And, you know, they're not good. It's always had little factions. And, you know, that's the way it always has. And the fact that they're playing politics, oh, my goodness, politicians play in politics. Imagine that. Imagine that, yeah. I'm shocked. Just shocked. Yeah, I'm going to change the subject big time. Go ahead. Fishing and the brown trout. Up in the flathead drainage, they've discovered... The presence of brown trout. That's an introduced species from either Scotland or Germany. And it's really prized, to tell you the truth, down around Yellowstone on the Madison River. They're fishing companies that love the brown trout. They come up and take little T.C. flies, and there's all kinds of fun that can happen with them. And now, okay, it's going to be an investigation. How did that brown trout get there? Was it a bucket biologist? That's what they call them where people will go around and throw buckets of fish or fish eggs in water. But in any event, I'd like to hear from the fishing games sometimes about the brown trout in the flathead and what sort of... threat that presents. That's a very good question. And, you know, we have the, the Montana outdoor radio show every Saturday right here on this station with the captain and his crew and all that. That'd be a good question to call them. Oh, my gosh, they come in here and they can use tactics like Photoshop to hide the power lines. But the realtors really love this type of photography to really make it look like it's a totally virgin forest. Pretty soon it's going to be like San Francisco. Behind every tree there's a house. And it's just, it's really sad, you know, even up at Whitefish where all the billionaires live and the water coming out of their wells is rusty. They don't like it. Wow. But they want to live in the mountains, you know, like they're transcendental that want to be above and beyond everybody mentally and spiritually, you know. Man, they're miserable people. That, you know, AI also has this imagery problem, too, but instantly making a style out of anything, you know, and make your own artwork look like it was done by Bancel or something else. Picasso, yeah. All right.

It's hurting the income of artists to become more starving. And all they do is pay to these rich people to draw landscapes. We've seen enough landscape. So I've got a little bit of history with the Republican Party and politics. I started back in the early, early, early 80s and came in as a pro-life Christian. concerned about government, overspending, concerned about big government, wanted small government. So my husband and I ran for office and Rhino Republicans would fight with us and tell lies about us and make sure that we didn't get elected. And so there's always been this battle. And way back when McCarthy was in, I keep thinking, you know, and I heard somebody say it the other day. McCarthy was fighting communists back then and rhino Republicans fought McCarthy. Why think we owe McCarthy an apology? And as far as mega, make America great again. Why do these people with Trump derangement syndrome have a problem with making America great again? Instead, you've got these Democrats, Socialists, Communist, Marxists. Yeah, and the squad, Islamists, wanting to tear down our country, wanting to destroy our country, wanting to bring America to its knees. And you've got, there's the platform of their party, abolish president. I'm obviously the president. Marilyn, Marilyn, you're breaking up. Oh. Shoot, I threw away my landline because I'm moving. I hate so. You sound good now, Marlon. You're fine now. So they want to abolish ice. They want to abolish our borders. They want to abolish our prisons. They want abolish the Pentagon. They want abolish prisons. And they want government to take over corporations. So what kind of a country are we going to have if that all happens? These people are out in the open now. They're determined this is their platform. And all I have ever asked from the Republicans is to adhere to their platform. And they don't. And they won't. And I mean, but the conservatives do. They try to. But you've got the rhinos that will not because they're really Democrats who can't win in a Republican district. So they run as a Republican instead of a Democrat. And, you know, years ago, I remember. I think it was the Democrats that started this big tent. Big tent. We want to be a big tent. So then the Republicans went along with that, which watered down our party. So, you know, we just need to get back to fiscal conservatism, sanctity of human life, 10 commandments. You know, what's wrong with the 10 commandments? Now, shall not still. If we open up our borders to the whole world and abolish prisons and all the stuff that the communists want, Well, I'm old. I'm probably not going to have to suffer all that. But some of the younger people, yikes, that are being duped and brainwashed and indoctrinated into believe in this stuff, they're going to have to live under that. And I really, I weep for my country. I really do. Each generation has to learn its own lessons, Marilyn. Yeah, it's sad that we, you know, it's really sad. But I love America. I've been fighting for America.

And make America great. You know, Trump, he, you know, he just didn't come on the scene here just recently. He's been involved in wanting to spare America from all of this for many, many, many, many, many years. And I didn't know that until I read, you know, some of his books lately, you know. But the fact that he beat Hillary Clinton and these communists, oh, my goodness, now everybody hates Trump, all the people, Oprah and everybody that loved him previously when he wasn't involved in politics and they just loved his gold and his big money, you know. Oh, they were friends with them and invited him to their weddings and stuff like that. But now, oh, now that he's trying to not be a globalist and actually make America great again, they hate him. Pretty sad. Pretty sad state of affairs. Maryland, always a... He's not perfect. He's still a big spender. I don't like that part, but, you know, geez, he's not a communist, so he lives America. Well, I was born in Michigan. I... I know a lot of your listeners probably won't like to hear this, but I lived in California for 40 years. Well, that's okay as long as you don't say you're a bobcat from Bozeman. I am not a bobcat. Okay, go ahead, please. And my wife, who's a registered nurse and I, we escaped about two years ago. We consider ourselves political refugees. And... I've been an attorney for approximately 30 years. I run a law firm about 25 lawyers and we practice in various parts of the country. And also I have I've run for public office several times as a Republican in the state of California, which is an interesting thing to do. It's a lonely spot, isn't it? It's very lonely. And it's so lonely that I not only was I. up against one of the most powerful political regimes in history, meaning the, I'll call them Democrats, shall we say, the Democrats that run that state, but also very unfortunately, the State Republican Party is incredibly moderate, and I was up against them too. They've got to the point there where they believe that they have to act like Democrats to get elected and, you know. I've always believed they were totally wrong about that and they're proving me right because they don't get elected. So what is the state of the Republican Party right now in California then? I mean, is it just in name only or what? That's a good way to put it. Very much so in name only. You know, they haven't elected a statewide candidate. That's like R-I-N-O, right? This is a rhino. Well, total rhinos. And... You know, a very good friend of mine, actually. I'll give her a shout out named Celeste Greg. She's the one who coined the term Rhino. Wow. Oh, yeah, many years ago. And...

And that's what you have. You have, they've been, the state party's been beaten into submission in that state. They haven't had a statewide candidate elected in, in decades, almost two decades, you know, statewide county from governor, attorney general, you know, secretary of state, those, et cetera, et cetera. And unfortunately, it's gotten to the point, it's too bad. I mean, California is a gorgeous state. You know, when I was there, it was still, when I first moved there, it was still the golden state. So much potential, but the politics has destroyed the state. And it's to the point where the, even the state Republican Party, and they know my thoughts on this. And that's one of the reasons I just, I couldn't fight them either. They believe you got to act like a Democrat to get elected. And that, for somebody like me, that doesn't fly. So that, that's a. a quick look at what we're dealing with out there. All right. Well, we're looking forward to spending this hour with you because we're here in Missoula, Montana, what some people call the political hinterlands, you know, but we have a huge, we're the fourth largest state with one of the smallest populations, just right around a million people. And I thought I'd ask you, since you're, you are a Republican, I hope the kind of Republican that... A gentleman was on earlier today that was a Republican that doesn't say ill of other Republicans. I appreciate that approach. And I thought I'd ask you, are you settling in Missoula County or Ravalli County or Flathead County? And are you going to frequent places like... a peccaderm associations, the education alarm of the Republican Party, or the central committees in the county that you decide to live in, or maybe you're already established. So I just thought I'd ask a little bit of that kind of history. If you're a Republican, what are you doing in the county you're living in? Thank you, sir. Thanks to the call, Skip. Hey, this is Eric. Thank you so much for calling. Well, you know, my wife, who's a registered nurse, and I have... settled in the Bitterroot Valley. And I've been getting more and more involved with the state party, the state Republican Party. I know some great folks in the party already. I'm starting to go to meetings. Tonight I'm going to something very interesting. I believe it's in Florence. There's a fellow named, well, I'll get his name. He escaped communism in Poland. He's a very well-known pastor up in Alberta, Canada. And he's been speaking around the Bitterroot Valley and other parts of the state this past week. And so, yes, I'm getting more and more involved. And in fact, I'll be attending the...

the Republican convention in Dallas in September with a few great folks I've met from the state party. All right. We do have other folks waiting on the phone to visit with you. It's Bill from the Bitterit. Bill, good morning. You're on with Eric Early. Go ahead, please. Bill, thank you, Peter. Eric, you know. California. It was the state of Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon. Orange County was considered, you know, the capital of conservatism and republicanism. What would you recommend here for a preventative for Montana so that we don't become California? Because if it could happen there, it could happen here, and it seems like there's a little bit of a root happening. What are your thoughts? Phil, that question is amazing. And really I want to make it sort of my mission here to do everything I can to prevent Montana from becoming another California. I watched, I did everything I could to fight. And we'll talk about that in the show down the line here today to fight the growing and gathering, frankly, Marxist, they call it socialist, but I believe they're Marxists, growing and gathering influence of them in California. I think we have to really, I mean, this might sound like a simple answer, but we have to learn how to say the word no more because these people on the other side. who call themselves Democrats, but frankly, they're far left and they've hijacked the name Democrat and they know if they call themselves what they are. Socialists or Marxists, they're not going to, many of the mom and pop dem voters who don't follow this stuff closely will keep voting for them. But you give those folks an inch and they take a mile and they don't stop. And that's what became of California, which is sliding further and further downhill. And you have some of these politicians, they lie, they're master liars, their master gaslighters, all the way up to the guy called a Kendall, who is the current governor of California, Gavin Newsom. And we have to say. know and we have to be firm in our convictions and our principles. And as you know, Phil, and as I'm sure a lot of the listeners know, that's not easy to do. But we must do that more and more. What is the attraction? Is it a feeling of control and power of wanting to tell people what to do? Because most Republicans, conservatives want to live and let live. 100%. You know, they are ideologues. These people on the other side in California. They believe they're morally superior to everybody. And they so believe it. And this goes all the way up to the Kendall. It includes that attorney general out there named Banta, who's a flat-out Marxist, and it includes what's called the supermajority. And it's called the state legislature for a number of years now. I've been calling the California legislature the Politburo. Because it's much like, you know, the quote-unquote legislatures in North Korea and China. It's a super majority.

they have the numbers of the quote unquote dems that are in the legislature there they can stop any Any effort by any Republican to pass any bill or to stop any bill. And yes, they're totally power hungry, and they believe that they know better than all of us. And they're forcing that on all of us. And unfortunately, in California, the majority of the legacy media, like in so much of the country, supports everything they do. And I could go through the list of the things that... Those types support. And as long as you support that stuff, then the media is totally on your side. If you're against it, the media will do everything they can to crush you. And I've been on the receiving end of them and also the public employee unions. And I support the non-public unions. But the public employee unions, which are paid for by California taxpayer dollars, they basically own the government there. And they're very far left. State News Network. I'm Dennis Bragg. Rising water temperatures, low river flows, forcing Yellowstone National Park officials to expand fishing closures across park waters. Starting today, all rivers and streams in Yellowstone will close to fishing daily from 2 p.m. until sunrise. Montana Attorney General Austin Canutes and says the Department of Justice and its local law enforcement partners are continuing to make headway fighting illegal narcotics in Montana. And he believes the state is seeing benefits from the agreements he signed with the federal government allowing DOJ. to work along with ICE and Border Patrol to interdict illegal immigrants, especially where drugs are involved. Now, that's not something that happens at every county level, right? Like, I'm not in charge of your county sheriff. I'm not in charge of your city police. Whether they choose to enter into those agreements or not is a question for your county commission or maybe your city council. Knudson says, while fentanyl numbers continue to drop in Montana, other products like cocaine have seen an upward trend. More Montana schools turning to a new tool to deal with a serious threat of sports concussions, especially as another football season draws closer. But as JD Knight reports, it's also a tool that can be used to quickly assess conditions for injuries in other contact sports as well. The dangers of concussion in sports have been brought to the forefront with popular players in the National Football League suffering CTE. Schools across Montana recognize those dangers as well and now have a new tool to help keep student athletes safe from concussion while participating in sports in high school. The new sway program is designed to help coaches determine if an athlete may have suffered a concussion using baseline data from each player. Coaches are now able to use the program in game in as little as five minutes to determine. the severity of the injury and whether a player is safe to continue to participate. The program isn't just for football players either, as schools will be using the Sway program for other sports, including basketball and volleyball. I'm J.D. And we're talking basically about all sorts of things to do with what's going on in Montana and, of course, his history as well. But let's get our callers on. Rick has been waiting. Rick, good morning. You're on with Eric Early. Go ahead, please. Good morning, Eric, and welcome to Montana. I'm a lifelong Montana. And I've always been politically engaged, even as probably as a freshman in high school. In the early 70s, I was. And I always would, I would always go, I'm not going to be like those senior citizens that become nostalgic, and that's all they think about. And guess what? I'm just like one of those senior citizens that have become nostalgic, except I know it. So maybe there's hope that I'm not so feeble anymore. But I have two questions for you. I'm old enough to remember David Brinkley and Chad Huntley. And they seem to report the news. They didn't shape the news. And my first question would be, when did news media start shaping the news? That would be my first question. My second question, since you're a journalist and a personality in journalism. I think when Barack Obama ran for office, I don't think Barack Obama is a horrible individual. Not, not at all. But he had a person behind him. His name was Harry Reid, represented from the state in Nevada. This guy was the most filthy human being in politics that I can ever remember. And after Harry Reid got a hold of the Obama campaign, it seemed like that's when politics... Politics was always ugly and a little dirty, but it seems like Harry Reid brought it more to the forefront, and the ugliness has grown legs. And I believe Harry Reid, I'm sure somebody else later on would have done the same thing as he did. But what's your opinion on the news being formed instead of reported? And that individual, Harry Reid, do you think he was in the forefront of making politics as dirty as they are right now? and I'll listen to you. Thanks for the call. Thanks for the call. All right, Rick, thank you for calling. That was a great call, and I love talking to people who are politically involved and who do everything we can to keep following what's going on. Listen, and clearly the legacy media right now, it's where Americans are under, and this has been going on for a number of years now, really totally... Total information control. We have, and these people who are, who are, you know, running the mainstream media and the deep state and such, as you know, especially if you're like me and I, it sounds like you are, you're listening to other sources to get not only, you know, when you turn on the TV and get the standard stations, you start seeing how much of the public at large is.

under complete information control and is only being fed one narrative to the point where people like you and i we go and we try and say what we see is really going on they think we're nuts and they think that because they don't know what's going on because they're under this control listen when it comes to Obama. Harry Reid was no beauty. I'm sure he had a fair amount of control over, you know, what Obama was doing and saying. But listen, the Obama administration, in my humble opinion, opened the doors for... really the Marxist Islamist invasion, ongoing invasion now that we're dealing with in this country. And one way they did it, one large way, is they politicized all of the major institutions of government. Before, you know, I'm sure before Obama, you know, there were. There was political bias in major government institutions and such. But when Obama got in there with his CIA director, John Brennan, who, in my humble opinion, is one of the most treasonous people this country has ever had. And I'm waiting to see that guy get convicted. They intentionally set out to kick all of the conservative voices out of government, FBI, CIA, military leadership. keep going on and on and bring in their far-left ideologues. And that is something that we've been suffering through ever since. And the media was totally, or most of me, was totally in support of that ideology. And that is something the Trump administration ever since has been doing everything he can to get back control of. at least a, you know, just get the far left ideologues control out of the government. And so that has made its way through the media and so much. And so much of this, Rick, that we're also dealing with goes all the way back to what's going on in the schools, certainly in the blue states. They are indoctrination camps. And the kids go through them. And by the time they go through K through 12 and if they go through college, they come out the other side. And so many of them. are so brainwashed. And then those people infiltrate the media. And they infiltrate the government. And the schools. And it's a revolving cycle. And the evil ones behind the scenes know, they know exactly what they're doing. And so we have a fight on our hands. And thankfully, more and more people are stepping up to fight against it. Believe me, I was a little reluctant to even mention the word California, so I get it. Well, my family emigrated from the People's Republic of Minnesota to the People's Republic of Missoula over 60 years ago. So the only difference between you and me is time. Yeah, this Missoula is an interesting place, not exactly what I envisioned when I was, when we were running. Yeah, I, uh... I have two questions for you. First of all, an earlier caller was talking about how, you know, we're all up in arms about the Democratic Socialist of America and they're just like, you know, Democrat Party and there's nothing going on there. And I know that's not true. I know that on this is past Sunday, one of the higher options in the DSA got on and said that verified, replied yes to when they want to abolish the presidency, they want to abolish the Supreme Court. They want to get rid of the electoral college. They want to open the borders. They want to let anybody who's in the country have amnesty. They said yes to all of those. So it is not your father's or grandfather's Democrat Party. My question is with Spencer Graham Platner in L.A. and has been getting robbed from the results of the election. How much did ranked choice voting? How much has that played in the downfall of California? I know Alaska has it as well to their detriment. And there's been an effort to bring ranked choice voting to Montana, which I adamantly vehemently opposed. But if you could speak to what your perception is of how that's affected the entire electoral process, and is that responsible for the way California's become? Thanks for your question, Jeff. In California, it's not ranked choice voting. It's not there yet. Yeah, you have the far left trying to bring it in over there. And by the way, I am a huge fan of Spencer Pratt. I watched Los Angeles go. Totally down the toilet. And every year it just gets worse and worse over there. It is, you know, everything from the crime to the general filth to the homelessness, everywhere you look.

to, you know, the emptying of prisons, to the no cash bail, to, to you can steal up to 9.50 at a shot and you get nothing more than a misdemeanor, et cetera, et cetera. But, and Spencer Pratt was like this shot of adrenaline that that city needs and needs so badly. And to watch what happened to him in the election, you know, it was terrible. And unfortunately, it was not surprising. What I believe totally did him in. is you have these laws in California that let people do what's called harvesting ballots. You let people go out and collect ballots. They'll go to, you know, nursing homes. They'll go to a place. They'll go to groups of people who won't normally be voting. And they basically tell them how to vote. And then they take their ballots and they submit them. And the people, the great... you know, sort of passionate people behind doing this stuff are the far left. And this is one of the main things we're up against. Then there's, of course, this universal mail in balloting. These ballots are all over the state of California. It would stun you when you see at the place you're living ballots being mailed there for people you never heard of before with their address on the address you're living at. And so they're all over the place. And then you have the homeless that these far left crazies that are doing everything they can. They're incredibly well organized. You have to give them credit for that. They go and they get the homeless. They throw them some money and they get them to fill out ballots. And this Nithya Raman, who is one of these, she's a communist. She's running for, you know, she's running down there for mayor against the other communist, Karen Bass. Nithu Rahman has all of these people behind her and that's what they did. They went out and they got votes and votes and votes and they overwhelmed. Spencer Pratt, and that's what we're dealing with at the end of the day down there. All right, so we are up against a break here. Again, our guest is Eric Early. And I'm curious what you have to say about that. And furthermore, about government ownership. He has bought for the American public, 10% of Intel Corporation. Do you support that move? I don't think many of us saw how much a media would try and destroy a political candidate and now a president since Trump came along. And so many of us who watch this stuff closely. watch the lies and we knew in real time we were being lied to and that is one thing that really pisses off a lot of Americans is when we know in real time meaning as it's happening we're being lied to and there's really nothing or we believe there's nothing we can do about it as far as um you know uh the the rest of what was the other question there uh Dave part two We lost them. You know, you head to a, you can't do it in a state you are, and so you go to a smaller state where you have a chance to get into national politics. But anyway, you can keep throwing out all the buzzwords, you know, name-calling, labeling, oh, fascists, or not fascist, Marxists, Islamists, all this, you know, and to me that's, you know. stupid games that, you know, calling people names and calling, labeling people, bad things, and, um, blaming, you know, saying, all they've been brainwashed. I mean, people are so stupid, so ignorant, they can't, uh, they can't, uh, they can just listen to whatever the media tells them and they don't have an internet to listen to or nothing. So they're all just a bunch of hicks that, do, uh, don't understand the real world. But, um, I'm curious, um, do you, Think are you planning on being a state senator or maybe even a national running for national office through Montana? I mean are Is that why you're up here on the radio right now? Because otherwise, why are you on the radio? I mean, who are you? Why are you on the radio right now? And, you know, as a matter of fact, my wife and I, when we were looking to escape Southern California, you mentioned Eureka, California. Really, at the end day, we left California because I was tired of living under the boot of communism. Sorry, I'm saying that word to you. And paying the highest taxes in the nation and the highest housing costs. The highest gas prices. The high, oh, yeah. I mean, California is one and a half to $2 more a gallon as we stand right now, even with the high gas prices in Montana going on right now. So, yeah, we love Northern California. It was definitely a better place for me than Southern California with my, you know, my position. and such, and there are millions of great Californians, by the way. Most America wouldn't know that. But yeah, we came here and, yeah, would I keep my mind open to running politically in Montana? Absolutely. And at some point today's show, perhaps we'll talk about what I ran for in California. I ran against a guy that you might have supported named Adam Schiff for Congress in the 2020 election of all things. And I've got all kinds of stories from that one. But listen, I'm just grateful for so many Montanans who have lived the life that you've lived to maintain. still is great, glorious, and beautiful state of common sense in the nation. Yeah, and of course we have a conservative government here. We have the Governor Gianforte and the Attorney General and most of them are Republicans and all on a conservative bent. You know, a conservative lawyer from California who had the good sense to escape the People's Republic of Gavin Newsom. Yes. And come step behind the walls of freedom, the al-a-last, one of the last alimos of freedom, the state of Montana. Welcome here. We want you. We need you. We appreciate your voice and your efforts. And people like, well, we just heard from Harry and Dave, perennial people who apparently don't want you here because they're in the process of taking this country or state over for the leftists. This is something that, you know, anybody who looks at history, I can't believe there's anybody who can't see the... 10 basic rules of Marxist-Leninist conquest that are in play in this country right now. It's just, it's complete. delusion or ignorance, willful ignorance, that, you know, he calls you out for calling people names, and then he calls you a carpet banker. What does this tell you about his mindset? He and his ilk get to do anything they want, and we are to take a knee and suffer under them. Well, I got news for all of you, Harry's and David's out here in Montana who slip behind walls. We are not going to put up with it forever. And you can, California is calling. Pack your stuff and head for there if you want to live under it. A person like you who has escaped, who has seen what goes on in a state like that and escape to freedom is more than welcome here. I mean, it's just, you know, and you mentioned the word freedom several times, and I'll tell you something.

When Emerald, my wife and I moved here, you just feel the freedom. And it's like we go out in the morning and so many times that's the first word that comes to my mind is freedom. When you come out of the boot of a government that's stepping on, you know, stepping on the people to squash the people in California. And you come into a glorious state like this. That word freedom is everything. And, you know, at the end of the day, you know, my wife and I and our families, you know, we love this country. And we are so concerned. And I know you are Perry. It's so obvious. And so many of the great people who have made Montana, Montana. we see what's going on and we see this growing and gathering threat to destroy our entire nation. And I firmly believe at the end day we're going to beat back this threat. But man, you know, as Peter said at the beginning, conservatives, we love to live and let live. And we do. And for years, we never realized that under the surface, there was this organized group of people that spent every waking moment trying to tear down this country. But thankfully, so many of us are seeing that more and more. We will stop it. We will get this country back from those people. And so thanks again. We've got a little less than two minutes left.
