And you know, Jen and J.R., you know, sometimes got to make it great again after them. And you're trying to give me a heart attack. Well, you said you were tired, Max. He said you were tired. I actually have some pretty good voices of reason for you this hour. And believe it or not, two of them are Democrats. Democrats sometimes. Well, there is hope for the world. Maybe. Maybe we'll have to say, I can give hope for you, Max. I know. The first hour didn't look like it too much, but maybe we'll do better this hour. Recapping what was talked about on those Sunday news talk shows. I'm talking ABC this week. Fox News Sunday. Meet the press, face the nation, and others if you're a news junkie, but you don't have time on Sundays to keep up with that. Don't worry, I'm here for you. Got the time, don't have the desire. Okay, or if you're that, yeah, if you have plenty of time, but not the desire, you want to wait until Monday, I am here for you as well. Max watches reruns of Bonanza. Used to be Gunsmoke, now it's Bonanza. Who knows what's going to be next? Maybe the Beverly Hillbillies. I don't know if that's on. It's got to be on. Been known to watch that, too. It's got to be on somewhere on a Sunday morning. Dale Jackson watches reruns of Hallmark movies. I'd. you know, Christmas Hallmark movies, I think specifically. I kind of wonder about him sometimes. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. Don't ask me, but whatever, he gets the recap from me on Monday. I'm sure his wife tells him to what to watch. I'm sure no. I'm sure his wife says, go do whatever you want in your own room. Stay away. Stay out of my face. That's what happens there. All right, so I did want to play, like I said, it was a voice of reason on the future of the Democrat Party. Bill Maher is a comedian. He has his show real time with Bill Mar used to be politically incorrect. He used to be very, very much on the left. And he says his points of view haven't really changed. It's just that the left went totally radical left. So now he seems more of a centrist. But part of it as well is he has focused on some of the problems with the radical left. the anti-Semitism we've seen, the transgender nonsense, kind of a couple of different examples. So apparently he got some kind of Mark Twain Award. I don't really know why or whatever that is, but he also was on ABC this week. And he was talking about, you know, the Democrat Socialists of America. And he kind of makes the point I make. You know, obviously, as a conservative talk show host, we can focus on the Democrat socialists and how crazy they are. But it's not just people like me talking about it. They're actually winning elections in different places in this country. And those in the propaganda press are bringing it up as well. It's not just the likes of me. It's not, I'm not just fear mongering or something. It's a real thing. So Bill Maher was asked about that. Here's what he said. I'm McCratch are cowardly. Yeah. They're cowardly. Their party is being taken over now. By you know every day I hear about a new very radical I feel very good about like 10 whenever years ago like I did lose fans because you know I wasn't gonna go along with some of this crazy stuff on the left too I didn't change really on what I thought about the right but just I can't sit and just not notice stuff which people seem to want to do because it's all about my team or your team
But, yeah, there's some crazy stuff. You know, when we're cheering for the Intifada, I've got to cut. I'm out. I mean, what he's saying there is common sense. Like the last part. It's one thing to be critical of Benjamin Netanyahu or some of what's going on in Israel or you want a two-state solution. I might not even agree with Bill Ma on some of those things. But when you have some of the radical left. They're for the Intifada. They claim Israel's committing genocide. They say Israel is an apartheid state and all that stuff. You lose the likes of even a Bill Maher, who is not some kind of right-wing conservative. He's not. So he continued on on this front. Here's what he said. You told JD Vance, your vote is up for grabs. Yes. My vote is in play. Because it can't be Trump running. So I'm not living in communist America. I mean, I know. The talking point is that it's not communism, it's socialism. Okay, I've read the quotes from the DSA platform from their own mouths. Don't tell me I'm not seeing what I am seeing. And DSA, again, they say things like, you know, take over of key industries, government. That's communism. You know, there is a definition. By the way, Trump's doing that, too. Of course. Yes. And to a degree that we haven't seen any other president. No. That's crazy too. It's got a piece of intel. Right. A piece of the AI company. He treats everything like it's a real estate deal or I don't know. He's an agent or something. He always wants 10 or 15%. So you want to see Democrats. So I just have to say first off, of course Jonathan Carl of ABC News is like, oh, well, Trump does that too. He had to get that in there, you know. Now, I will say this. One, I think Bill Maher is right. Trump does kind of look at everything as a deal, some kind of real estate deal. I'm not a fan of that. When you talk about the government taking a stake in Intel, for instance, they brought that up. I don't like that. I'm not a fan of it. It's not the role of government. It sets a bad precedent for the future. It's just not a good way to spend our tax dollars, everything else. It's not in the power of the presidency. I agree that's a problem. But that's not communism. And the main reason I bring that up is when Trump does something like that, it's not because he wants to seize the means of production or something. You know, communism, socialism, that's when the government seizes the means of production takes over and everything. And some of these democratic socialist candidates, that's what they're talking about. They're just talking about the government running it. It's not necessarily what Trump is doing. Trump looks at everything like a deal. And he's saying, look, if we're going to bail out a company, we can at least make some of that money back. That's how Trump looks at it. I'm not saying it's the right way to look at it. But that's a very different way of looking at the economy and the government than say what a Democrat socialist does. It's two very different things. So when Jonathan Carl comes out and says, well, Trump does that too.
It's a problem, but it's not quite the same thing. I just had to point that out, but here's more. Absolutely. And they will, because it will still be a referendum on Trump. So I think the Democrats will do very well in the midterms. 2028 is a different story because by then this wing of the party. this new wing with all the energy and it's not just a few people anymore i read every day i read about a new person in some colorado in moscond somebody who is saying some variation of not defund the police abolish the police no prisons no police like what world did they think we could possibly live in under these conditions it's just a level of nutty that i'm so glad that whenever it was i was like no i'm not going along because this is where it ends Okay, so there's one example of someone who I guess nowadays is more of a moderate Democrat, even though, I mean, he used to be very left wing. One of the problems I have with Bill Maher is he should have recognized this a long time ago. I mean, they dipped their toe into this stuff for years and then it took over. I mean, that's what's happened. Now, another person who's had somewhat of a reaction like this is John Fetterman. He is the senator from Pennsylvania. He's probably going to be kicked out of his party in the next primary. He says he might have to leave the party over Israel in the future. But he was on CNN State of the Union, and he was talking about a lot of this stuff as well. Here it is. I think it's incredibly important to confront Iran and to confront Iran with their ambitions, specifically the nuclear ambitions. Every single Democrat that I'm aware of says we must never let Iran build a nuclear bomb. And here we are again right now. Negotiations and all other kinds of strategies have been employed over the last 47 years, and they've been successful up to now. And so where I'm at, I think we're in an important point in our time, and I think it's entirely appropriate to continue to confront Iran. So we had the tragic news over the weekend that three U.S. service members were killed. by the Iranian regime. And he says, look, we have to take on Iran. He's a Democrat. But he says, look, just because I'm a Democrat doesn't mean I shouldn't be supporting our efforts against Iran. They're an evil regime. So here is more from John Fetterman. I think it's entirely appropriate to be pro-Palestinian. And of course, I'm deeply sympathetic to many of innocent Palestinians as well over, but where we have become parts in our party now describing Israel is genocidal state or apartheid state. And now we're not going to vote for any kind of aid. And now even people like the J Street organization are going to vote against basic things like the Iron Dome. and it's getting more and more incredibly hostile towards Israel. Israel is our important key ally, when candidates like you've had Dr. Ron just before me won't criticize Iran. In fact, he'll warn his supporters. Well, we can't just be talking about that the leader of Iran was eliminated, which I think I'm proud to say that's a great thing, you know, eliminating Hamas leadership.
eliminating Hezbollah leadership or Iran, that makes things safe and more just. And that's entirely appropriate views. Yeah, in the next segment, we'll play some of the cuts of one of those Democratic Socialists who's running in Michigan. But he says, look, I'm a Democrat. I support the Palestinian people. But that doesn't mean we say Israel's committed apartheid or genocide or something. There's a completely different. All these really just common sense stuff here. It really even shouldn't be that controversial. But. In today's Democrat Party, it is? It is. One more cut from John Fetterman here. When would, when do you view the party as becoming officially overtly anti-Israel? When it, when it's all of the House Democrats doing that, when it's a majority, because you're pretty close right there with 103 out of 212. Well, candidates run on a platform. And if that becomes the Democratic platform that we will now ever vote for any aid and will turn our back on Israel, then that makes me to make that decision as really what a Democrat should stand for or being a part of my party for me. Now, you know, Jake, I've said this, that if I change my party spontaneously right now. My views and my votes aren't going to change. It's really more of a statement how, and if you look at the kind of people that are winning our primaries, there are centerpieces of their campaign is anti-anti-Israel kinds of rhetoric, whether it's in my state or it's whether in New York City and what's happening in Colorado now too. If you believe the Democratic Party's future is rooted in describing Israel as apartheid state or genocidal, and they don't deserve to have our support, that forces me to say, is this really make sense for me as a Democrat with these views? They continue to actually intensify. All right. So the question for anyone listening, do you think Vetterman gets kicked out of the party? I think what's going to happen? He's probably going to run as a Democrat in a primary in a couple of years. He might lose or see he's losing, decide to run in the general as an independent. And he has a chance to win as an independent, I think, similar to Joe Lieberman a few years ago. That could be the outcome, but what do you think?
