WKBN. 324 in the afternoon. Always an interesting way to start the program off with Rich the Pharmacist. But, you know, when he said, oh, it's not that big a deal. $450 a gallon is a big deal. And I hope the price comes down. Isn't it odd how things can change when you go from where you're starting to say, now you're looking for $3.90 a gallon because you see it at $450 a gallon. It's crazy. You're on here. Hey, Ron, when I called the show when Trump first got elected president, I'm trying to figure out, folks, those of you that seem to just hate Fort Lauderdale Frank. I mean, I don't understand your hatred of Fort Lauderdale, Frank, because, you know, he's just calling it as he sees it. And I just don't understand some of you, you folks. I listen, and I pay attention to what he has to say. Frank is no dummy, and I say that with you on the line. So go ahead with what you were saying. Yeah, when Trump was first elected president, I said that China makes a hybrid electric vehicle that only costs $13,700 and U.S. dollars. And I was excoriated. by the Trump supporters. One guy said I was weird. You're weird, Frank. You're weird. And another person said if I love China so much, I should move there. Yeah.

2:27

And you were just, I do remember that. I remember that. And you were just pointing out what they had available. What was going on? Yeah. And they also have an economical car that only cost $7,800 U.S. dollars. And it can drive on water. You could, if you want to go to Toronto, you have to go where Michigan, Detroit, crossover to Windsor, and drive all the way east. You know, the guru of Gerard just sent me, he ordered an E-Trike, 55 miles on a charge. The guru of Gerrard's, the professor out in Gerard, Miguel, sent me a picture. He ordered this E-Trike. I've got to talk to him about this. He's officially like an old fart. If he's riding this E-Trike around, he's going to look like... Like he's 102 years old. Mike, you better call me. I need to have an intervention with you on that kind of stuff. But maybe is this his answer to get in Gerard to go down to the hot dog shop or something like that to save gas? I don't know. Well, I also want to defend you. Ted the Neocon says that you, as far as the Iran War, you want to wave the white flag and surrender because you support ending the war. Well, that's because Ted has never served in the military and has no idea what he's talking about. Surrendering is when you're in battle and surrender to the enemy by raising your hands and allowing them to disarm you and take you prisoner, such as when you run out of ammunition or are surrounded and isolated from friendly rescue or support. You know, Ron, Trump can declare victory, bring the troops home, and they get to keep their arms and weapons, and no one will be taken prisoner by Iranians. I don't think, I would say to you, I don't think that you're going to see any boots on the ground, as they like to say, because look how far Iran is from us. It's surrounded by mountains. I mean, this is a big country with 93 million people. And it's got mountains like on three sides of it. This would not be an easy mission if you brought in boots on the ground, as they like to say. This is a difficult test. Now, do I sit here and say, is Iran taking a beating? Absolutely, economically in every way. But I will also sit here and say, are we taking a beating? Yes, we are too. uh with inflation yeah in the economy and potentially the midterms now do you think i said again do you think the people in iran think like you or want to live like you or want to be like you it's a different world it's a different culture it's a different background in most cases they hate you and they hate what you stand for So you view them from your standpoint, and that's not how they think. So I sit back and say, I don't know where this thing is at. And stand by. It's Fort Lauderdale, Frank. I like the guy. And I'll be back right after this, so stay tuned. News Radio 570, WKVN.

agents are investigating a fatal officer involved shooting in Finley. The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a roadway in on Broad Avenue. Authorities say 37-year-old Holden Smith was waving a gun around in the hotel's parking lot and was shot by police when he raised the weapon. Columbus police are looking for a pair of unidentified suspects following a west side shooting yesterday evening. It happened on West Broad Street at around 5.30 p.m. The victim was found with a gunshot wound and taken to the hospital. He's expected to survive. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose says more poll workers are needed for the November midterm election. LaRose's office is helping county election boards boost staffing by promoting its Defend Democracy toolkit throughout Ohio. Folks who are interested can contact their county board of elections or visit voteohio.gov. I'm Andy Betts. Listen on the free Iheart Radio app for all your music, news, talk, and sports radio. Back to it, News Radio 570 WKVN, 334 here in the afternoon. All right, Frank, go ahead with what you were saying. uranium stocks. China has 64 reactors running. 37 under construction, almost half of every reactor under construction in the world. And 186 reactors planned or proposed. And China has a target of 110 gigawatts by 2030, and almost double what they have now. Therefore, when China buys uranium, China pays well, they pay early, and they negotiate long-term contracts to secure future supply. Now, I'm thinking instead of going to war against Iran on Israel's behalf, why not trade with them? You know, a lot of uranium is not being sold to the good old United States anymore. A lot of uranium comes from Central Asia, and they border China. And they are negotiating deals to sell uranium to China. So wouldn't it be better to make peace with everybody and not go to war on behalf of Israel and go back to trading like the Founding Fathers envisioned? Don't go chasing dragons overseas. But, you know, uranium is a very important commodity, and it's very illiquid. Just a little bit of buying can drive the price way up. And also, I wanted to mention the cost of capital because it's very important to our economy. And I'll explain in a minute. But supply-side economics corrected the outdated theory of the cost of capital. And that theory attributes the cost of capital to the interest rate. The higher the interest rate, the higher the cost of capital. Now, government budget deficits drive up interest rates and crowd out private investment, while high rates of savings and investment.

9:30

lowered the interest rate and lowered the cost of capital. I've always said China's a nation of savers and investors, and we're a consumer economy. We're a nation of debtors and spenders. But, you know, Ron, also taxation, including the tariff tax. The tariff tax and inflation tax has an even larger effect. in driving up the cost of capital, more than the Fed raising interest rates. And Ron, the cost of capital is highly inelastic in regards to interest rates, but because income taxes and all taxes have a higher, much greater impact on raising the cost to capital, Warren Buffett said it doesn't matter if the Democrats... or the Republicans take over the House and Senate and the executive, he believes the taxes are going way up. And I tell you what, do you want to ruin the economy? You don't want money for future investment, so people have more jobs. Which generation Z going to do? They're screwed, Ron. They're living at home. Where are the jobs for them going to be? I've always said they're paying into Social Security, they're paying into Medicare, and they're not going to see a penny out of either one of those when they get older. I hope you're wrong. Thank you, Frank. Appreciate it. All right. You're on the air. Hello. Whoops, wait a second here. You're on here. You're on here. Donald. Yeah, Ted the Conservative. What are you doing, buddy? I'm causing hate and discontent here on News Radio 570. You read my mind. That's what I was going to say. Your cousin, hate and discontent. Yes. You know, I had to call you. I missed the program yesterday, so I was listening to the podcast. And that podcast is just great because when someone like the anti-Semite comes on, you just fast forward. You get tired of hearing about all this. I don't want to engage in specific name calling like that against cars. Well, you didn't say that. All right, so. Well, but anyways, why I called you? You get, hey, rules for one, rules for all. So you decide. I'm the rule. I'm the rule enforcer. JJ? The Trumpster, formerly known as JJ the Liberal. Yes. I'm calling to say that, you know, I was really glad I called that day and said the things I did that kicked him off and forced him to the doctor. He's called. He's had electric shock. Just like one flew over the cuckoo's nest. He's had some electric shock, and all of a sudden he is now, he's JJ the Trumpster. I think we have to knock off the formally known act because that doesn't even exist anymore. I think we, I think we succeeded. That's the more reason I called because every time he calls, I laugh. I know. He might be one of the, he's getting better and better. Yes, he is. He is getting better and better. You laugh. I laugh too. I mean, he plays his part so well as JJ the Trumpster. Yeah.

12:53

I'm not wrong, am I? I mean, it's just, it's entertainment to the next level. I think we did good in transforming him, you know? I'm just, I'm blown away. Now, if we can only do that Fifth Avenue and Emmanuel, if we can get JJ to share the doctor's contact information, we might be on our way here. What do you think? We shall say. I mean, we shall see. All right. What else is on your mind besides that? Well, I really don't have much to say except the gas was 475 down in Columbia. No, you mean 375, not 475. It's 450 up here. I sent you a picture. Let me see. I could be losing my mind because that's very possible. It's got it. It can't be 3.7. I'm sorry, 449. Oh, okay. Well, that's what it is up here. 449. And I swear to God, yesterday, when I rode by, it was only like 3.99. No, no, it was really low down here. It was like 3.89. $39. $3.59. It's weird because sometimes down here in the country land, it's a lot cheaper, and then I travel up and I go down to $2.24, I'm out in the season. There's a big disparity in the price between down here and up there, which is crazy. If it's highest there, it's low down here and vice versa. However, if you want a good deal, go to Loves out on Market Street because they are always, like they were 379 yesterday, I think. And I'm sure that today they're probably only around four bucks. They say low to pulling cars. They want you to buy all that other crap they sell. But hey, I ran war. I'm going to sum it up like this. Trump's doing about as well as a one-legged man in a kicking contest. How's that sound? I'm still dwelling when you say, how's that sound? I'm still dwelling when you say, how's that sound? I'm still dwelling on a $450 a gallon. I mean, I'm glad I got gas. I filled up both cars a couple days ago. But see, listen to what you're saying. This is how they screw with you. You're saying, boy, I'm sure I'm glad I got it for $3.89 the other day. Yeah, I know. And it's like you said, this is on Trump. This isn't on bike. And, you know, Trump is turning in to be a real politician out for self-promotion, self-enrichment. What's the other word I want to use? He's using the Justice Department to settle some of his legal battles, which I knew he would, but I'll be honest. I'm disappointed in him. I still support him. He doesn't work with Congress, therefore none of his executive order will be codified. He does practice in government like a dictator. He just thinks everyone should bow and bend the knee and kiss the ring, and we just don't do that in America. And it's unfortunate, but... Even though I'm disappointed in him, I know things are much better opposed to a Democrat being in this. And I often tell you that. Democrats are horrible governing. I think we've had this conversation before. They win elections. They get in office and they just sit on their hand. I've been saying this for years and years and years. And I've come to accept the fact that the only good thing that happens when a Republican gets in office is that we slow down the leftist agenda.

16:23

because they will not push, with the weak leadership we have, they don't push forward anything at all. So it's almost like you get nothing accomplished, but you do get to pump the brakes on the Kamala Harris and AOCs and those kind of people. What do you think about that? Oh, what do I, what do I think about it? I think, you want to know what I think? I think things are a mess. That's what I think. I was going to say, maybe the world is just coming to an end, what do you say? No, it can't, it can't end yet. No, it can't. I'm starting to think that maybe this is the end of time. Maybe when I need for Europe next month, I won't come back. No. Maybe if I stay over there, I'll survive a little bit longer than you guys over here. Listen, I sit back and just say, it is a mess. I am not going to kid you when I tell you that I'm hoping that's, you know, sometimes you see the sign and the gas prices spike and then the next day they're down or later that night they're down. I'm hoping that that's the case. I'm hoping that that's the case when I look and I see it at 450. However... These oil expert guys that I read, there's four main ones. There's four main ones that are there. You're like a Ron DeSantis. You do a lot of reading. I do a lot of reading. And I've learned more about oil. That's because your wife won't talk to you, huh? She talks to me. I have that problem at home, too. My wife just doesn't want to talk so I read. So I'm reading all this stuff, and there's four main ones. And these are the guys that are saying that the crap would be hitting the fan in August because we're We've depleted our reserves, basically. We're tapped out, and the strait still isn't open, and there's a big issue as far as the supply of oil. Basically, what they have said is you can't take 20 to 30 million barrels a day off the market and not think you're not going to have a major problem, and it continues to be off the market. Now, what's the solution to this? Well, I've heard it before. We brought them to their knees. We're going to get an agreement. We're going to get agreement. I've heard of that time and time again. I've been. I'm full of shit. Wait a minute. No, no, you can't. Wait a minute. Okay. The great news is... Hey, I'm going to go to that doctor, JJ's thought, see if he could turn me into Ted the liberal. You might be... This might be amazing, folks. Ted the Conservative might be coming Ted the liberal, and JJ the liberal might be coming JJ the Trumpster. I don't know what world I'm living in anymore. Yeah, that would never happen. I can... But let me tell you this. But here's the great news. Here's the great news. If you listen to the program on the IHurt Radio app, you actually hear what Ted...

19:14

said if you listen on the radio i have to edit that obviously but it was funny but i mean you hear all this nonsense and it's like we have the 60 day thing and then that didn't work out now we're back to another 60 day thing and i keep hearing they're on the ropes listen i hope he's right i hope we reach an agreement and it's a done deal but i don't know when that's going to be this keeps dragging on you know that i you know that from day one i supported him in this mission but he is losing my support every day because he is what I just said he is, and I think he's just living in an alternative universe. You don't go to war. You don't start a war. You tell me if I'm wrong. Has there ever been a war in the history of our great country where you start a war, you attack another country, and you take a few days off? And you try to convince the world it's going well. Well, maybe we should drop some more bombs. And then you bomb him again. Then you take another week or two off. Wasn't that – What is this guy's – what is his malfunction? I don't know. This is a difficult situation that I thought we would have learned from Vietnam, but maybe we haven't. Ron, we're beyond a quagmire. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And we're beyond the four-day excursion. Then he said four weeks. I mean – I'm going to be honest. The guy is full of, you know what. But I support him because the alternative is worse. I, I, Captain, I'm in total agreement with that. I mean, it's... That's what I said. The end of the world is coming. When I leave for Europe, I'm not coming back. So this might be my last call of the wrong version. Well, here's, I just got a, Bob sent me an email listing on the app. He says, not sure how, but Bob happens to be listening in Orlando, not over there with Fort Lauderdale, Frank. And Bob, you know, can't beat Orlando. That's Verb Manor 2. He's in the sunshine. Him and Frank should get together. They could share worst. Oh, my daughter. It's Verb Manor 2 down there in Orlando. Not sure how, but still three. 390 all over Orlando. So there you go. If you want to get cheap gas, you have to drive to Florida. But maybe tomorrow would have come back down to four bucks. You know what? But maybe it would go up to five because these oil guys are telling me the price is going to continue to go up because we're running out of oil. That's what they keep saying. I got an idea. I saw an Amish guy this morning. Oh, you're going to do that. Maybe I should hit him over the head and take the buggy. Maybe you should just have them build you one and then start. Yeah, I could park the horses out front. I could beat him, give him water, no gas. You know, they'll leave a mess in the streets, but I don't have... Folks, what has happened to Ted the conservative? He could be... He wants to no longer be Ted the Englishman. He wants to be Ted the Amish guy. All right, Ted. Thanks for you. Hey. Yes. I'll call you back tomorrow if you want. I do. But I wanted... Okay. I'll call you back to my life. No, no, no. What did you want? I don't want to hang up on you. You know, I'm just surprised at the reach of your program. How many people live? I mean, I'm truly, I keep saying this to you over and over. One day you have to disclose the viewership numbers. Because a couple, last week I made an announcement about a gathering at the Republican headquarters for Christine Oliver.

22:29

And you know there are people there that said that wanted to meet me. They said they heard me announce it on the wrong verb show. And they came from as far as often town to Borden. Isn't that something? Yeah. So tomorrow night, Wednesday, after 12, from 6 to 8, there's going to be another get-together to strategize for the campaign. Isn't that what Bush called us strategically? We're going to do some treachery. at the new Springfield fire station in the middle town from six to eight with Christine Oliver tomorrow. Well, here's a, you ask in here, listen. I just say this to you. And I, and, uh, you have a big net. Yes, my, my boss sent me an email, uh, just last week. Ron, really, really good listenership. You are number one 12 plus. So there you go. How about that? That's a lot of listeners. But I appreciate that because it means a lot to be. I'm telling you, people showed up there at that event for Christine Oliver, and they literally said, where's Ted? We want to meet Ted, the conservative. We heard him talking about this event on the run. But I told you, though, I told you the two most ask about callers that I'm asked about. You would be number three. But number one is G2. My guess would be G2, yeah. And number two. It's got to be J.G. Yes. Yes. The two most people that asked me most about G2, and then it's JJ the Liberal. And then, of course, Ted the Conservative. Why would they want to know about Ted the Conservatives? That's interesting. I find that rather interesting, intriguing. Yes. I said. When we go home, maybe we should call G2 and get some. Get some blueprints and start building our bunker because the world might be coming to an enemy. We might all need bunkers at our homes. What do you think, huh? You can't. We can't afford the lumber. Fifth Avenue's basement. There you go. I love Fifth Avenue. Thanks, buddy. I'll be back. You're one-stop for advertising.

24:42

Okay, onward we go, 355 in the afternoon, and you're on the air. I can't believe that I'm not number one or number two. I'm shocked. I'm sorry I don't recognize the... I don't recognize that name at all. Yeah, you do. I do. For 25 years, Diamond Dave. No, there's no Diamond Dave that calls this program. Okay, okay. There is a guy, you sound like a guy, Baba Ginoosh. You sound like a Baba Ginoosh guy that I know. Incidentally, speaking of which, I did receive an email about you, and the caller I thought made an excellent point when you were talking about Sophie Cunningham yesterday. Okay. And you said that... She was, that you were 5 foot 10. And Sophie Cunningham, according to the Bubba Ginoosch world, is 5 foot 12. And I said, you know what I'm talking about. No, listen, I'm reiterating your phone call because it is pertinent to what the emailers said about you, okay? All right. So you said, you like Sophie Cunningham, you're 5 foot 10. And you said, and she's 5 foot 12. And I said, no, that's 6 foot. And then I looked it up and I said, oh, no, she's six foot one. I was wrong. Go ahead. She's six foot one. So the person emailed me and said it would be easier for Bubba Ginoosh to understand that he's 5 foot 10 and you should let him know that Sophie Cunningham is 5 foot 13. Yes, that's true. Okay. Then it would be easier for you to understand that if I put it in that. Yeah, I got it. I got it wrong. Now, let me talk. You seem on edge. You seem like you're really... That's because I want people that listening understand what's going on. You know, yesterday, I thought I had you right on the edge before you were going to... You know how you do the silent crescendo, and then at the end you started getting frustrated with me? I thought I had you right where I needed you, but the commercials started to come on. I know. You cut me off, man. It was this close to you. crescendoing out i can i i don't want to i want to talk nicely and calmly because we're talking and by the way just as a side note w kbn i'm not that crazy about sophy cunningham i mean i i i don't forget about her i don't say i didn't talk about something else what now i've been listening to your program here just you know And believe me, believe me, you know, I love, I like to call in, but then when I hear somebody's callers, I get, I get very disturbed, okay? Because of the fact nobody has a clue and understands Trump. So I'm going to explain this to everybody who don't understand them. Well, I've got to do the news, and then I'll come back to you. Stand by. Bubba Ginoosch is going to try to understand or explain Trump. Money Talks Investment Coach John Arnold Studios. This is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an I-Heart radio station, guaranteed human.

A to Z dependable services, plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and one day bad. Ron Verbe. On News Radio 570, WKVN. All right, back to it. This ought to be interesting. Bubba Ginoosch thinks that he has an understanding of Trump, and we don't. So he's going to try to explain to us with his deep insight. Go ahead. Okay, first of all, he's speaking at Spires. You know, that's out of the Ligar. Lake Area College, Spires. You know, where they teach running up there? No. Yeah, he's going to be up there. Just let you know. Secondly, yeah, let me get everybody to understand something. I know the one guy says he's kicking the ball with one leg. Let me explain something to you. He's got three different avenues that he's hitting him, okay? One is trade. Two is finances with Scott Bessent. And three, he's got all our military ready to attack. Okay. Now, if you're choking him out of $450 million a day in revenue, they're starving. The, what do you call the inflation, like 88%. Okay? And it's not going to last. I mean, they can't survive for long. Okay. Now, I heard that on the news. The other thing is, so you've got three different avenues you're hitting. Okay. So why would you expel any equipment or military or bombs if you're choking them financially right now until they start screaming? you know, surrender or whatever. You know how they say when you have somebody down and, you know, they surrender, they say something, I forget. But anyhow, the point is wrong is that he has three different avenues he's hitting them with. Now, that's why he's not in a rush, okay, because the longer this financial hold goes on him, The poorer they get, okay? Now, he's affecting because of that. He can't get oil to China. He can't get oil to Russia. He can't get oil to his proxies. And he can't get money to his proxies. So now he's saving other areas from being hit. So I wish people would understand his thinking, his logic. It's very, very well done. I love this guy. See, I look at everything. Now, my family is from that region, okay? We are Maronite Catholic. Oh, you remember St. Mary's with the Babel Ginoosh, right? And the point is that our family seen persecution since early 70s from Islam, okay? And by the way, you can't make a deal with them because if you read the Koran, they will not hold honor a deal unless you're, if you're an infidel. An infidel could be a Jew or Christian. It doesn't matter. You have to be Muslim to hold an agreement. Like if I write an agreement between Ron and me, or you and me, about something about cutting my lawn.

34:14

You don't have to honor it because I'm not Islam. This is how they think. Now, for, I don't know, 1600 years, they do everything and they will kill their people. They will do everything to win, okay? And because they know if they win, the imam can come down and bless them. It's like people saying like God comes down. So understand that what he's doing, he's choking him out. He has to do this so that we have peace in the Middle East. Now, these other countries got together. Three countries got together to make a team to try to hold this. And that's what he's trying to do. He's trying to generate countries that come together to police these people so we don't need our bases there. Okay? And we don't need our people there. He doesn't want none of our people dying. Um, so this is the thinking, Ron. Did you get it? Or did you hang up on me? I hung up on you. No, you didn't. Oh. Did you get, did you get what I was saying? Yeah, I listened to it. It doesn't mean I agree with it. I listen to it. Okay, okay. Now, now on the gas. I mean, it's, uh, I can sit back and listen. Oh, Bubba Ginoon. Well, let me say something. On the gas? Yeah. These people need. to show compassionate conservatism. Okay, like Bush used to say compassionate, conservative. There was a book I read about. And these people need to, we have plenty light oil, you know, like you say sweet oil. You know what I mean, to make gas for our cars here. Okay, but we don't have a lot of heavy oil, which we do get from Venezuela. That makes diesel fuel and diesel for the truck, okay? These companies need to get a grip, and they need to bring the prices down, because, and enough of the property. Okay, with all due respect, I've heard enough of this. What you're saying isn't a reality. Okay, I mean, it's just not a reality. First and foremost, refineries deal with heavy crude, not light crude. That's what the problem is. That's what they were designed for. So it's not just like we flick a switch and the problem is solved. So that's why we still import oil because we need heavy crude. You get that from Canada, you get that from Russia, and you get that from the Middle East. Okay, and Venezuela. But you're not... You've got 30 million less barrels of oil because of the straight being closed. So listen, you've got a major shortfall of oil. We've been running on depleting our reserves as China's done, the United States has done. So what we've done is we've been living on the reserves. Well, as the oil guys that follow this, not me giving an opinion or what my beliefs or thoughts are. I don't follow it. I learn more about oil than I ever dreamed I would ever learn between heavy crude and sweet crude and all this kind of stuff. So the bottom line is there's a lot of nonsense going on. As these oil guys say, you can say, well, this is alcohol. Well, beer is alcohol. Jack Daniels is alcohol.

37:35

But they're not all the same. It's all alcohol, but it's different. Well, the same thing applies to oil. But people think, well, we got all this oil, but we don't have refineries that can refine sweet crude. Now, knowing that shipping, jet fuel, and diesel need heavy crude, and apparently at some of these refineries, they mix the light crude with the heavy crude, and somehow they make it function. I'm getting a grip on all of this kind of stuff. So I go by these people that know what they're talking about. And they're the ones that are saying they've been in, what you've been seeing from an oil standpoint has been diluted by draining the reserves. Well, you can only do so much of that before the crap hits the fan. Now, these guys have been saying they thought this would be happening around August, late July and August sometimes. It depends how much more you want to drain out of your strategic reserves. It all depends if you want to drain it down, even more. The bottom line is that's when the crap will hit the fan. Now, they're saying, not me, you can't take that much oil off the market on a daily basis, and there wouldn't be ramifications in the world market for the cost of oil, which makes gasoline. So consequently, that's why you will see gas prices go on. Why is it's part of the world market? Because oil is part of the world market. We're not pumping anything. The oil is done by these companies that go and drill for it. It's their oil that they put on the world market, that they sell. But that's just the way it is. We need oil from Canada. We need oil from Venezuela. You have Russia now, which is not putting oil on, not sending out heavy crude, or I forget what moves that they've recently made to cut back on heavy crude leaving Russia or jet fuel. I mean, so what you're seeing is inflation come as a result of it. I don't know. Everything you get comes on a truck. That uses diesel fuel. Farm tractors use diesel fuel. Shipping uses a type of diesel fuel. Jet airplanes use a different type of fuel. And it's all costing way more. It's way more expensive. That's why things are costing way more. And so these guys are saying you're running out of oil. So I'm not here to say, I'm just here to say Trump's in a mess. He is in a mess. And the longer this goes on, it is going to be a bigger mess that's going to get worse is what these guys are telling you that follow this.

40:28

this stuff that follow oil. They say it's a mess now, and the longer this goes on, it's going to be a bigger mess economically with the price of gasoline, diesel, and oil. And one third... And one... These are guys that are oil analysts. They don't own the oil companies. The oil companies are going to make more money because they're selling it at a higher cost. What do you want them to do? I mean this is the reality of this decision of the war with Iran. I mean, this isn't about, I'll say it a million damn times. You know, I got some other goofy guy that, you know, he's just a blind Trump supporter. He just walks with these blinders on. And, you know, which reminds me of when people did the same thing with Biden. And he's just ridiculous with his emails. He doesn't deal with reality. He's like oblivious to really what's going on because he has an opinion. But it's a... We can all have an opinion. Like I said yesterday, I can have an opinion on global warming. It means nothing because in all reality, I'm not a scientist. I can't say for certain there is or there isn't. I really don't know. I don't go up and look at the glaciers. I don't see them melting. I don't follow this stuff. So we can all have opinions, but there are ones that are more informed opinions than the other ones. So I look at what are these people saying? What are these military people saying that say, you know how far Iran is from the United States? Do you know the geography of Iran and how difficult it would ever be to put boots on the ground and what a massacre it would be? To getting supplies over there and the problems that it would be? Do you know that there's 93 million people over there? And I get, you know, our oldest son did tour after tour in the Middle East. And he said, you don't understand. They don't think like you. It's time you wake up when you think they want to be like you. They don't. They don't think like you. They don't think like you. They don't have the same religion as you. They hate you. And that's not going to change. So this uprising that people are waiting for, well, it doesn't seem to be happening. And they're in Iran saying, we can wait this out. You want to bring us economic devastation? We'll bring it to you. We hate you. We'll wait it out. We'll endure the inflation in this. And guess what? You're going to get a taste of it too. And then you're going to get a taste at the midterms. It's not like they don't have a strategy to quote Bush as well. Oh, yeah, they got the Democrats wrapped around their finger. You know, forget that you don't see a lot of opposition from the Democrats on this issue either, do you? I don't see Democrats out protesting the war in the streets.

43:25

I don't see any of that stuff going on. They're not protesting the war. They want Trump to go down. Well, listen, when it comes to the war, it seems to me this agenda that the Democrats and Republicans are on the same agenda, whether that's lobbyist money or whatever, because there's a lot of opposition. The only thing that's going to bring Trump down is Trump. I realize that you're this lover, and I voted for him. I wouldn't vote for Harris. I won't vote for Sherrod Brown. I won't vote for a Democrat. But I'm not a damn cheerleader. The only thing that's going to bring Trump down is Trump. And if gas prices go to $4.50 or $5 a gallon, Trump's going to go down in the midterms because of a decision that he made. No, I'm explaining something to you. You are a cheerleader. You are a cheerleader of it. No. No, I look at the facts. What are the facts in? What are the facts that I just told you? What's happening with oil?

44:28

I want to mention one other thing about DSA. It's not a fad, like an air ring or tattoo. You know, kids get earrings and tattoos. It's a fad. It's not a fad. What is it? If they bring communism into this country, it'll destroy this country. That goes without saying that's a whole other topic. Enough. Thanks for your call. You're on here. Hello. Good afternoon, Ron. Yes, sir. Hey, I've been trying to figure out something for a little while, and maybe you can help me because you're now designated yourself a... oil expert. I'm not an oil expert. I just read them. You have other experts to call in and explain things. Tell me this. What did it cost you per gallon of gas that under Obama when it was high? I can't ever. I've been paying four or five dollars, three dollars again. So what? What difference does that make? Was I happy about it? Hold on. Yes, it does make a difference. I'm trying to get to a point. Yeah. Under Obama, the price of oil was over $100 a barrel for over 600 days. Under Trump. It has been over $100 a barrel for about 60 days back a few months ago. Right now, oil is an $83 a barrel. At $83 a barrel, why is gas $450 a gallon? All right. When it wasn't that high under Obama... Now, what is $83? $100 a barrel. Explain to me when you say it's $83 a barrel. What is that figure represents? What it costs for oil to make the gas and the diesel and all that good stuff? No, it doesn't. That is called the futures markets. Do you understand that? It's called the futures market. And many of these oil experts say, guess what? Good luck at buying it for $83 a barrel in the futures market. Instead of me explaining it to you, You go read them. They're about four of them. Go read them, and they'll explain it. Actually put time forth. You're a guy that wants to call me and say, I should be happy. Oh, well, gas is whatever, $350 a gallon or $4 a gallon, and it was under Obama. I thought it sucked under Obama. I thought it sucked under Obama. Absolutely. And it sucks now. No, no, no. I'm not saying you should be happy now. No, no. I just understand why it was $100.

47:18

a barrel, the futures, or whatever, back under Obama, and it stayed under $4 a gallon for gas. Yet now it's $80 a barrel, and it's $4.50 a gallon in Ohio. It's cheaper in Pennsylvania. It don't make any sense to me. Have you heard of supply and demand? Same thing under Obama. Okay. Under Obama, did we have 30 million less barrels on the market today? Yes or no? Was the straight open or not? The price of oil was over $100. Do you want me to explain it to you? You're going to have to hang up. I heart radio. News Radio 570, WKBN. Let me see if that guy hung on you. Hello. Hello, Ron. How are you? Good. I'm looking for a different guy. I wasn't talking to you, I don't think. No, I'm Keith the Car Wash guy. Okay, Keith, hang on. I'll get back to you. So it's typical. You get a guy like the last caller. And see, these are basically Trump apologist. And I voted for Trump. And I would vote for them over the Democrats today. I won't vote for shared bond. I've got to say it a million times for people. But the reality is they want to try to say like, what are you bitching about, man? Oil was like $350 or $4 under Obama or was this much under Biden, or it used to be $5. Well, guess what? We were all bitching about that price of not oil, I mean a gallon of gas when it was that price under any of those people. including probably most of those people that were calling were bitching about it when it was that price under Obama or Biden. But all of a sudden they want to try to use that high price under those administrations to justify a high price under Trump. I will not sit here and justify $4 a gallon or $450 a gallon. I look at when Trump before the war started and it was down to $250 a gallon.

49:35

But see, you're letting politics get in the way of your brains because you want to try to justify something that's eating up at your dollars in your economy. We are an oil-based economy. One-third of the barrels of oil that come out of the ground make products, shingles, asphalt, they don't go into making fuel. So the prices of all that stuff continues to go up. Now he says, well, why was it this and Obama and that kind of stuff? The straight wasn't closed under Obama. This problem didn't exist under Obama. It didn't exist under Biden. So there's a major difference between those 10 years as president and what Trump has done. The straight is closed. You have 20 to 30 million barrels of oil off the market that aren't on it anymore because of this straight being closed. and Russia than cutting back. So you have major differences in the oil market between, from a production standpoint, between when Obama and Biden were president and today, because of a closed straight, because of that much oil coming off the market, not being in the pipeline. So basic supply and demand says, well, there's an oil shortage as it's not me. I mean, I'm just reading these guys. There's four of them, I say, the main four that are saying this is creating an oil shortage. Now, they're the guys that are saying, you know, good luck at trying to buy oil on the futures market when they say, well, it's going to be this price. And they say, well, good luck at buying it for that. Like when they're talking about, and first of all, oil isn't gasoline. You know, barrel of oil, you've got to make into gasoline. So this is what they're saying is why oil prices are going up because of the situation of the strait and how much oil is off the markets. This is a major problem that was created by us, by Trump, by what he did with Iran. And it's not going away anytime soon. And that creates prices to go up. Supply and demand. And that's why they say it will continue to get worse. We have been depleting our strategic oil reserve to fill in the gap as China has done.

52:25

Now, if you want to run it dry, that's fine. You can continue to tap into it, but they say you reach a point where you should probably think about not doing that because it's there for some military purposes. But I think Trump has tapped it for 175 million barrels of oil. People say, well, Biden tapped into it. Well, he did too. But it doesn't matter. Trump is present now for almost two years. Trump's the one to decide to go to war with Iran. Trump, the straight wasn't closed during any of these. It's closed now. And that's what's creating a lot of the problem. We don't have the ships going through there. And you've got the problem with Russia and Ukraine. Back with more calls in a minute. Have you heard the news? A last chance for Iran. Many countries wanted to give this a last chance. This is a last chance. Marco Rubio on that last chance. There's been progress made in those talks, but not finality yet. We're hoping that will happen very shortly. There's good news. There are shit moving through the streets. There are oil moving right now through the straits. Todd Blanche's nomination for AG advances. Todd Blanche, say, very good men. And election tests for socialists. Democrat socialists. Check in often. News Radio 570, WKVS.

warning has been issued for Hamilton and southwestern Butler County until 3.45, with a storm near Ross moving southeast at 45 miles per hour. A severe thunderstorm warning is also in effect for several counties north and east of Cincinnati with 60-mile-an-hour wind gusts possible through 4 p.m. Residents should take it to a safe indoor location as damaging winds, flying debris, and possible tornado activity threaten the area. Farther east, a flash flood warning remains in effect until 615 for parts of southern eastern Ohio after 3 to 4 inches of rain fell. And in the meantime, state agents are investigating a fatal officer involved shooting in the city of Finley. The incident happened yesterday afternoon at a roadway in on Broad Avenue. Authorities say 37-year-old Holden Smith was waving a gun around in the hotel's parking lot and was shot by police when he raised the weapon. I'm Brady Hopkins. Listen on the free I Heart Radio app for all your music, news, talk, and sports radio. Podcast, too. Download the app. Free never sounded so good. A to Z. Now, Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. All right, so let's see, where was I there? Was I talking to you? Yes, you. I will pay. No, I wasn't talking to him. Was I talking to you? You was talking to me. All right, go ahead, car wash guy. Well, I have to break your bubble a bit. I am in beautiful Myrtle Beach for 10 days. Now, what are you doing on vacation? How old are you now? 73. Oh, okay. So can you afford to be in Myrtle Beach? To stay, sure. I'm here with Violet, my youngest son, and my ex-wife. Did you hear this, folks? I want all of you to hear this. Okay, this is the world of the bizarre. He's in Myrtle Beach with his son and his ex-wife. Can you get any better than that? How do you get along? So you're on vacation with your son and your ex-wife? And my granddaughter, yes. Yes. How's your ex-wife treating you? Oh, great. No problem. Really? Yeah, she paid for it up front and we all paid her back. So it's like one big happy family. It is. And we've been down here also looking, possibly she might buy a single family house, and we might all move down here. Would you all live together? Sure. Wow. Why My Myrtle Beach? Well, I don't know. She wants to be by the ocean. Well, here's a rub. I mean, that's good, but check on the insurance first, depending how close you get to the ocean. Oh, I know that. Yeah, 15, 20 minutes away, you're pretty good. And I'll tell you, gas, I've seen anywhere from $2.99, the highest $354 a gallon. How can that be the case when I'm paying $450 up here? I have no idea.

57:14

Yeah, that doesn't make a look of sense to me. No, it don't. No, it doesn't. And down here, they're building developments as fast as you can blink and eye. The one realtor we talked to, he's already sold 60 homes this year. How much for the home? I bet it's huge. Uh, they range. You know, we, we looked at one, uh, let me say, I can't, I don't have a spec sheet with me. Uh, it was 350,000. Oh, that's not bad. Side by side, side condo. Oh, side by side, so it's a condo. Right. How many square feet roughly? I think it was 1,600. That's small for, for how many people? Uh, three bedroom. Yeah, but those are small bedrooms at that 60. The two of them were pretty good size, I have to admit. And you got to, you know, most of it's paid for it has a lake. The HOA, I think it's 500 a month. That includes clubhouse fitness, all the amenities like a lazy river for little kids. But I want you to remember this. Okay. I want you to remember this, that HOA fee is starting at 500. That doesn't mean it couldn't go higher than that. I mean, it's going to go higher each year. I mean, it can easily be. He tried to say if you go into a high-rise condo, yes, they can rise in price. So anyway, we're looking. She's down here looking. So that was part of the deal, and she was going to come down here and look. Really? And so you might move in with your ex-wife? I would have no problem with that. Really? Would it be just you, too, or who else would be living there? Well, maybe Violet and my youngest son could come down as well. Okay, but your youngest son, who's Violet? Violet is my youngest son's dad. That's my granddaughter. My youngest son, seven-year-old. Oh, so your son and your granddaughter? Right, which he's the father. Okay. So would they come down and live with you guys too? Yeah. In Myrtle Beach. Do you like Myrtle Beach? Oh, I love it down here. What do you love about it? I don't know. You know what? I just feel better. It's not that it didn't feel good, but, you know, you don't have the winters, and you've got the beach, you've got the ocean, you've got hot tubs outside, you've got... There's just all kind of things to do down here. Yeah, I get it. You know, like I tell people a million times, but, you know, I have two older brothers. Both of them live in Florida. Right. They don't live with Fort Lauderdale Frank, but they both have been in Florida. Now, Florida is the sunshine state, you know. Sunshine makes you feel better when you have sunshine more often. But my brothers all say you're more active and...

1:00:19

You're just, there's always something to do. It's a lot of activity. You're more active. They love it. They absolutely love it. Now, I always tell a story, you know, when my daughter and many of the girls in her sorority, when they got through college, they all moved to Orlando. And not a one of them came back. They all moved there, and they all live there, and none of them will ever come back here. And they love it. They absolutely love it, and they just love the sunshine and love the environment and just thoroughly enjoy it. Now, anywhere, though, in Florida, if you get close to the beach now, then you have to worry more about the hurricanes and your cost of insurance. I mean, insurance can be costly. But the great thing about Florida is, and I wish Ron DeSantis could be governor forever, how he runs the state and the tax situation is just going in the right direction. I mean, it is so, first of all, how they treat their philosophy when it comes to dealing with crime, you know, how they support the police, how they are against criminals, how they are against reforming property taxes, there's no income tax. Right. And they just got their act together in Florida. They really got their act together. So I get why you're saying you would want to go to Myrtle Beach. Right. And I checked in... That's one of the fastest growing areas, right? Myrtle Beach is in what? South Carolina? Yes. North and South Carolina are the two states. They are booming. Oh, it's crazy down here. Just everywhere you look, they're just developing single-family homes and pondos. And you see the light pulls up in flat land, and that's the start of it. And they just bore the concrete slabs. And the realtors down here only get 3%, where I believe in Pennsylvania, it's 6%. Well, I know it's 6%. Yeah, like you take a day like today. I love today's weather. I mean, it's overcast. You know, it's 74 degrees. But, I mean, to me, this is like it's really comfortable. Make no mistake, I love the weather in Florida, even when it's hot and humid. You know, I mean, Florida is just an enjoyable, a wonderful place to be. But I love it here where I'm at in Youngstown, Ohio, too, with this weather. I like the change of seasons. I like spring. I like summer. I like fall. And winter can be interesting. So, I mean, it's not a horrible place to be. But if you can have... Nice weather year rounds and not put up with that. It's probably definitely a positive because the growth is really going in the Carolinas. I mean, I've been reading about it. It is huge. And the property taxes are fairly reasonable in those areas. Yes, they are because there's over 20 million tourists a year that come here. Yeah.

1:03:30

Yeah. And it's like, I mean, it's all interesting to me. And you know what? Here's what I wish. And I'm serious. At 73, I hope you stay in good health. I mean, you're a good guy. You've got a good heart. You're in good health. And I hope it stays that way. And I hope if you do move to Myrtle Beach, and I would predict that you will be happy. enjoy the rest of your life. I think you'll be very, very, very pleasant. And I think you do, I think you deserve that. I genuinely think you deserve it. I only, back home I work maybe one day a week, which that's okay for me too. But down here, there was eight car washes that's a franchise. I stopped in one of them today. He said, I'd hire you no problem. He said, you got too many years experience. And it would be about the same as I made back there. And it was right down within 10 minutes from where Paula was looking at a condo. Well, keep me in a loop. I mean, touch base with me. I mean, don't be a stranger. I'll be thinking about you. You're a good man, and I enjoy talking to you. I appreciate that. All right. Thank you for calling. All right, Ron. I'll do that. There's a good guy right there. I find that interesting. You're on here. You know, Trump's just too damn good. He's too easy. Be glad I'm not your president. Well, I am glad about that. I will say I am definitely happy you're not my president. I will tell you something, okay? And I'll be right on the line. Democrats would never, ever, no matter what Biden did, Biden was brain.

1:05:32

That's why they tend to win. But it's easy for us to forget everything good Trump's done because of this war. And I will tell you, I would much rather fight this war with Trump than with a Kamala Harris or a Barack Hussein Obama or a Zohran Mamdani if he moves up that quick and gets into that position. worth it. These people have done nothing for the last 50 years but threaten us, harass us, murder us, torture us. I've had it. If I woke up tomorrow and there wasn't one, I'm being alive, I wouldn't feel bad. I would not feel bad. And why do we have all this power if we're not going to use it? be glowing in the dark.

1:07:22

I ran. So what do you think about how it's going now? Sounds like you're frustrated with all these. I'm frustrated. Why are we? We couldn't put a guy your age on the ground there because we'd have to drop all kinds of porta-potties for you to... Oh, my God. Walkers, everything else. I mean, you know, that would just be ugly to put a guy your age on the ground. It'd be like, you know, oh, geez, his hemorrhoids are acting up. We've got to stop the march. Exactly. The only thing...

1:11:15

I'm just the realist. Okay. I'm just the realist. What I thought is when I was hearing those rumble strips that you fell asleep and were driving off the road is what I thought. Well, that's happened. I won't say that hasn't happened. All right. I got a pause. Good hearing your voice, Nick. I'll be right back. Take care. You're one stop for advertising. 570 WKBN. Back to it, News Radio 570 to WKBN. And Ron Furbier on the air. Hello. Afternoon, Ron. Billy from Butler. Go ahead. Yes. Hey, I listened to your podcast yesterday, and... I had to respond because you said something, then you repeated like an hour later, and that just freaked me out. When you said, well, I don't know if global climate change is real. I know. I said it today. I said it today. I don't know. I'm not a scientist. I can't say it is or it isn't. I mean, I can have an opinion, but an opinion doesn't mean much if you don't really have the facts. Well, right there, you almost sounded like the one lady, a Supreme Court justice. Well, I don't know what a woman is. Listen, what determines our climate is that big ballfire in the sky. It's the oceans heating up and cooling down the El Nino effect, and that is caused by the sun, which goes through cycles. The more sunspot you have, that means some more activity, the more heat it's throwing off. We have absolutely nothing to do with that whatsoever, nothing. This whole, you know, and you, I mean, at least a couple times a week you'll bitch about the electrical prices because Obama, you know, fighting, you know, fighting climate change, you shut the, shut the coal down. I mean, their solution to this non-problem, you know, what we're going to take CO2 off the market, CO2 makes up less than 0.04% of the atmosphere. If you had a 100,000 football seat stadium, CO2 would only take up four seats. That's how little there is. And without CO2, there'd be no plants, no food, no life. This is the most insane hoax ever. I mean, this is all pure communism. This is meant to drive up the cost to make things harder for us. That's all. You know, end of the destruction. You know, I mean, where Obama stands up and says, well, this is several signs. There is no subtle signs. You constantly test. you know, your theories. You know, that is just, you know, to me, that is the most insane thing. And this, you and I, we've, well, I've been on the past, tried to have this conversation, you know, because 20 years ago on your show, you couldn't talk about this. But, I mean, this is, to me, this is just insanely stupid. Now, as far as the war. Stand by, stand by, let me do my break. I come back to you.

Flanagan is the more progressive candidate with positions like Medicare for all and abolishing ice. She served with Governor Tim Walz for nearly eight years when much of the state's massive fraud was taking place. Craig has tried to capitalize on those arguments by pointing to her record of flipping and holding a longtime Republican district and stressing that keeping this Senate seat blue should be the biggest priority. in this race. 1:18:10

I don't go as far as Nick. I don't think we should be using nuclear weapons, but I do think we should eliminate their electrical grid. We should drop every single bridge. We should certainly take out that railroad where they're getting some oil out of the country, you know, the head east of China. I would just eliminate their oil industry. Just take it off. Just take it off the map. They don't have the oil money. They can't rebuild their military. They certainly can't pursue nuclear weapons. They can't pay, you know, export terrorism like a mosque, you know, and the rest of them. Just shut it down. I believe Trump doesn't want to do this because, you know, again, he's kind of a narcissist. He wants everybody to love them, including the stupid Iranians. You know, I believe that if you take out their electrical grid, they can't hide in their caves. You know, they need, you know, they can't run their generator so long, and then, you know, they have to come to surface, and they certainly can't build any more drones, that they don't have any electricity. Just shut the country down, send them back 100, 150 years, and forget about them. That would be my solution for the war. Now, I know you and others have voiced, you know, fear about the upcoming midterms. I think, you know, where they've done, you know, the Republicans have done, some of the states have done some redistricting, they've lost the Democrats and just populationships, they have lost a lot of seats. And then plus a lot of these candidates, they're electing, you know, that they're nominating to represent their party. They're not balls, total nutballs. And I, you know, it's, you know, you've said yourself, well, I'm upset. I'm upset with Republicans, but there's no way I could vote for a Democrat. Well, I don't think you're the only one thinks that way. The young, okay, you know, they're just not very bright. They don't understand supply and demand. They still think that, you know, they're moochers. They still think they can get something for nothing. That's not going to cost them. You know, that, you know, it's okay to let the looters take over. But it. Socialism, communism never works. Just for the simple reason, you can't force people to be altruistic. But, you know, I'm optimistic. You know, again, the price of gas, listen, when I started driving, it was 35 cents. Back in, I was 67, 68. You know, the difference today is the dollar is not worth as much. We both know the last... five years, it's lost at least 25, 30% of its value. It's kind of a gas. I know you don't want to hear this, but it's kind of a bargain. You know, if you look at what you're paying for your hamburger from... Are you out of your mind? Now you sound like a Biden supporter. Come on, come on, give you a break. No, no, no, no. I can't give you a break on that. You sound like a Biden supporter. When I hear... It's no joke, man. No, when I hear conservative Republicans try to run cover for $4. Like I said, at the Shell Station, it was $450 when I was driving in, for $450 a gallon gas.

1:21:27

I hope it's a fluke and it'd be forward. I had people calling you, the sign said 450 and they were happy to fill up for 390. And it's like, if you think that people are saying, well, this ain't so bad, you're totally out of your mind. Because I go back to say it was about 250 a gallon before Trump started this war. The people, people, no, people voted, it's not supply, it is supply demand in a negative fashion because the straight is closed. The reality is that he created a major problem. Gas prices are going up and it puts a hurt on everything. And diesel prices are even higher. Whether that's the truck you're driving, or whether that's the farmer's machinery, or that shipping fuel or jet airplane fuel, all those prices have to go up because of how much gas is costing. I'm not going to sit here, like some of these people try to say, oh, well, it was high under Obama or it was high under Biden. Well, we were belly aching and bitching about it then. just as we should be right now, but all of a sudden I'm starting to see some conservatives trying to make excuses. Like, oh, this is okay. Well, it was higher at this point, and this isn't bad, and I'm willing to pay it. No, you shouldn't be. We don't have cheap energy, and we need cheap energy. Electric prices have doubled. Gas and diesel are off the charts, and that creates even more inflation and devalues your paycheck, your savings, and your retirement even more. There's nothing good about it at all. Trump has created a situation that's unique to him, not other presidents, because the straight is closed, and it remains closed. And that's 20, 30 million barrels off the oil market on a daily basis. That's a huge deficit. That will come back. You know what? I don't necessarily know that I'll sit there and say to come back. He's been talking a long time. He's miscalculated this. He said they want them reaching agreement. He said it time and time again. They haven't reached an agreement. We did the 60-day pause. It went nowhere. Then we were back at it. Bombing him again. And they didn't give in that time either. Now, they've come back with their demands saying, here's what our demands are. So this could just continue to drag on. And so let's have a little faith there, Moriari. Nothing in negative vibes. We're going to get through this. I don't have as much faith as you doing this. It's a mess. All right. Thanks. It is a mess. And it continues to be a mess. You're on here. I didn't know our old buddy John Shepelow passed away. Our engineer, he had passed away quite a while ago, yeah. How long ago was that? It's been a while. No kidding. Hey, I heard that you came to work today in the back of a Shuevel's bread truck. Is that true?

1:24:29

Absolutely. Somebody's, you know, and I smell just like... Because I don't know how you've seen the prices of the... Well, you must have been looking through the cab door there. But I heard that you were hiding in the back where Shwable struck some of the war. Guess what? Here's what I discovered. Are you ready for this? Here was my big discovery. I'll tell you what. Nowadays, I'm ready for anything but what you think sounds. All right. Well, I would always buy Shuebel's honeywheat bread, right? Yeah. It was a staple. So then they were no longer there. So now I'm at the shelf and I'm looking. And I say to myself, hmm, now I found one it was comparable. But now I buy Nichols. I buy it from Nichols. Listen to me, Nichols Bakery, because it's in Navarre. It's somewhat local. I bought one from a bakery that's like owned by some big, big bakery in the country. And it was God awful. But the Nichols, the Nichols honeywheat bread was pretty good, wasn't bad. You know, it was Shwebel-like. So I share that with you. So, but I'm going to buy Nichols bread because at least it's made in Navar, Ohio. It's close. That's true. Well, they said that they had that Orlando bread supposed to be. making their, our big box store here, their private label. I don't know how true that is, but I heard that's going to happen, too. I'm Cleveland. Okay, so what do you want, Troublemaker? What do I want? Yeah, you're... Well, not... I've got a list here. Lower gas prices, lower grocery prices. Yeah. A, not such a... Up and down stock market and end of a war. How's that sound? Is that just, is that all? That's really, that's really dreaming, isn't it? Well, you're not asking for too much. How soon you want? No, no, not much. How soon? I've got to remember one thing. I've got to say that, you know, he's running the country like a business, and I have an idea, too, about the national debt. Oh, okay. Talking about the president. It's something that he's very familiar with is why does he file bankruptcy for the United States and get out of it like he did it many time. Well, if we stay on this course, believe me, we're in serious trouble. They're talking like if they raise interest rates, do you realize what that does the federal government as we continue to see this debt increase? Yeah, I do, but does he? I certainly hope so. Yeah, all right. You don't sound like you're digging the Trump administration too much. Not whatsoever. Goodbye. Why are you hanging up? I do the hanging up around here, sir. I hang up on you. You don't hang up on me. You're on here. Ronnie. It's the unknown caller. Hey, what happened yesterday? You hung up on me. I did not hang up on you. Sometimes... The system. You were talking about the baby boomers, which we are, Ronnie, leaving the earth. And all of a sudden, I didn't know if I went or you went. Thank God you're still here, right?

1:27:48

What I said yesterday was all of these people that are talking about housing being expensive and the housing shortage, it is not going to be an issue because you're just starting to see many of the baby boomers pass away. And there's going to be a lot of houses available for people to buy. There'll be more houses than there probably will be people. And I suspect. Housing prices will come down, and you'll be able to get a decent deal on a house. It's just a matter of time. Just like when you cut out, I'm like, which one of us died? Well, it's like how much longer do you think you have? Not much longer, Ron. I'm too much older than you, so figure it out. Well, okay, so you would be. at the end of the baby boomer. This is not my opinion. I'm just telling you when I was reading these people that were saying that the idea of a housing shortage is nonsense. The problem is going to solve itself. because of the passing of baby boomers that have so many homes and the younger generation will be able to 25% of the homes that are inherited they will live in. And they were even saying even if that's higher, even if you go up to 50%, many of the baby boomers will live in the family home or own the family home. And then that means 50% of the rest of the homes will be on the marketplace, which would be plenty of homes for the Gen X or whatever they are to be able to buy at a decent price. That it would be supply and demand will work. That's what I was saying. Yeah. I don't think you're going to die anytime soon. I think you've got another good, let me guess here. I'm going to say. Well, hopefully another 45 minutes until we get off the show, Ronnie. No, I think you got it. I would hope. I'm going to do some calculation here. Uh-oh. I would hope. I would hope at least a good 10, if not 15 years of good health. For you. And you're just saying that because I am two months older than you. Okay. I get it. I said for you. I didn't say for me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, you open the show with the gas prices at $450 on South Avenue in... 224. Yeah. But wait a minute. Ted the conservative sent me a picture. I got to bring it up. In Columbiana at a BP, it says Duchess BP or something. It's 449. You sent me a picture of it. I got it right here. Well, I saw that on Route 14, Swiftmark, nearest Palestine, was like 359 today. The Ohio Turnpike, I went past, I drove, I wasn't on the Turnpike.

1:31:05

on the turnpike. You know the turnpike prices are always higher. It was only 409. So I don't know what kind of, you know, they're just dealing with the rich people that work in boardmen. They've got good jobs in boardmen. They're trying to gouge them, Ronnie. I don't know. Ted said me that from Columbia. I don't know. What's going on? I'm the first guy to say. I'll say it again. At $450 a gallon, all of a sudden people were happy to be able to pull in and buy it for $3.90. But it's like, I hope it goes down to whatever, it goes down to at least $3.90 again. Anytime you get over $4, it's a shock in an eye-opening thing. But like I say, these oil analysts say we've got big problems with the supply of oils and gas prices will go up. Well, I was listening to your show, and so I called in, and I was wondering if it's going to be Debbie Downer answering the phone. It's a pretty downer show, Ronnie. You're just complaining about everything, the gas prices, everything's going down. Don't you ever look towards the positive part of life? Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Like, like, like for, what tells you to, right? No, I look at the positive. Like, I'm positively happy that you called me today. Yeah. But I mean, I get, I'm happy. And then when I, when I'm on this high, you always say the same thing to me. Oh, I go to go. Yeah. Hey, um, what was it Ted that said his wife doesn't talk to him? He says he reads a lot too because his wife doesn't talk to him. I think he was making a joke. I do that, Ronnie. I got to find out how to get my wife to stop talking. Well, I'll ask him next time. Maybe he can give you some pointers. Yeah, well, I mean, I think a lot of your listeners could use some information. All right. But wait, wait, wait. Ted, didn't he? He was like calling Frank names. Not really, but. I got a new nickname for Frank. You know, you always say Joe Bag of Donuts. Yes. Okay, well, Frank is just Joe bag of dough. Not bad. Not bad. All right. I got to go. He's always got to go. You're on here. Mr. Verbe. How are you? Fifth Avenue, I am fine. Nice to hear your voice. I am, again, waiting. outside. If it was a nice day, I probably wouldn't be calling you, but it's a rainy kind of crummy day, so. Remember that old song, though? It was a Brooke Benton. Who did it? It's a rainy night in Georgia. Rainy night in Georgia. Yes, you got it. It should be raining all over the world. I forget it. I'm surprised. You remember that. That's an oldie, but goody. Well, I'm an oldie but goody. Well, I don't know if you're that old, though. You're a real oldie but goody. Some of your callers that call in, just I get, what can I say? I get my stomach churns because I just don't, the minute that you say, the minute that you say,

1:34:38

Stand by for me. Stand by. I'm going to get back to Fifth Avenue and find out why his belly's churning right after this. Hi-Hod Radio. Back to... Who's Radio 570, WKBN? All right, I'm like a doctor. I've got to get back to Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue? I'm here. All right, your stomach churns by some of the callers. Explain to me. A lot of your callers. All right, explain, please. I'll listen. Because most of them are all pro-Trump. Well, what's your analysis of what? When you said about, you're talking about the gas situation and the invasion of Iran that it should have never happened in the first place. And it was 250 a gallon before that. I mean, all that stuff, which you're all talking about it. And they come on and they jump on you. Because what you're saying is absolutely 100% correct, but yet they try to talk you down in that you're not backing Trump and what he's doing right now. Yes. And that to me is America, if that is America from See the Shining Sea, we're in big trouble. We're in big trouble because I don't see us surviving with people. that cannot critically put together a situation and come out of it with a logical solution. And if this was John F. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that was sitting in that White House today, if he was sitting here, in my opinion, he was probably one of the best presidents in my generation. sitting there, I would be as adamantly against his policies if he was doing what Trump is doing. I would be 1,000 percent adamant about what he would be doing in this Middle East situation, just as administration overall. So don't tell me it's because it's a Republican. No, it's not because it's a Republican. A lot of your callers. are not informed. They don't read. They're this knee-jerk reaction. They want to put down the scientists. They want to say that all of the intelligent people in this country are not supposed to be believed anymore. This country is in deep trouble.

1:37:28

to follow. Trump's administration, Trump is there for one reason and one reason only. He's there to make money, period, for himself, his family, and his companies. And damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead. And that's Mr. And that's what he's doing. Doesn't matter if there's no checks and balances involved. It doesn't matter if there's a constitution involved. It doesn't matter that the Republicans are sitting on their hands and putting up with this nonsense that's coming out of this administration. How, in God's name, your callers cannot see it is be... That's what makes my stomach churn, because the... These people are not, they're not young people. They're older people. This guy you just talked to, he was your age. And they're the other ones. You know, they're 60s, 70s. So I just say that the country is in deep trouble. Again, I'm going to repeat myself. If this was Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I would be, I would just be as much against him if he was doing this nonsense. that's going on in this country right now. So basically, just to emphasize, it doesn't matter if the person's a Democrat or Republican to you. It's based on what they're doing, and you would be critical no matter what party they're with. If a Democrat was doing the same thing you say that Trump is doing right now, you'd be critical. Adamant, yes, I would. We're very critical, just as I'm critical against Trump. Trump does not. He is so far in over his head. It is pathetic. He doesn't belong in that position no more than I do. And I'm telling you he's in over his head. And they keep saying about Biden and his declining. Have you seen pictures of Trump recently? The guy looks like he can't even stand up straight. And I'm not saying this because he's a... thinking Republican. I'm saying it because it's the truth. If you don't believe your eyes, guess what? Your tongue is going to lie. Your tongue will lie. Do you think people like Trump and Biden are just too old to be president anymore? I'll use both. There should be term. I mean, if I said to you, I think it was rather obvious, Reagan in his second term was definitely suffering from dementia. Yeah, exactly, of course. And there are many people that say, obviously, Biden had big problems. And then you've got people saying, well, look, Trump's falling asleep and that kind of stuff. But these are all, all of them are really old guys. Hang on a second. Hang on to come back to him and take more of your calls. Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning here tonight till six. Stay tuned.

A tornado warning has been issued for Hamilton and southwestern Butler County until 345, with a storm near Ross moving southeast at 45 miles per hour. I'm Brady Hot. It really upsets me. It really does. Why is it that the Republican followers, why is it that they cannot admit that there is a problem? Just as you admit that there's a problem. And as soon as you do... Oh, you're sounding a Democrat. You're sounding like you're a liberal. Well, because that's not the case. That's not the case. I don't look at it like that. You know, it's either the truth. Where did you, where were you born, Madonna, right? I was born on another planet. Okay, I think so, too. So you're right up the street from where I'm at where I was born. You're right up the street. Your upbringing was pretty much the same as mine. You know, you had the same religious beliefs and social beliefs. We're in the same part of the country. But the point I'm trying to make is when people are lying right in front of your face, if you cannot realize, if you don't accept that, I have no words for it. I have absolutely no words.

1:43:32

to you, then you're in trouble. We're in trouble. Do you think Trump really got us into a huge mess in Iran? This is the biggest mistake of his 10 years that he's been around. Well, besides COVID, he screwed up COVID real good, too. But yes, without a doubt, that should have never happened. Obama, oh, God for sake, I said the word. Obama, he had the everything in place to keep. under control as far as an atomic bomb was concerned. And our gas was $2.50, $2.5.195. Things were going along. But we had, and now, Trump wants to initiate practically the same thing that Obama already had in place. And in the meantime, we bomb them over there. We bomb a school. They kill 140 kids. We bombed this. We bombed that. open today, we'd probably have 250 gas, and we'd move on from there and try to solve the rest of the world's problems. But yes, there was a total mistake. And for that alone, that alone, he should be impeached because did he even ask Congress's permission?

1:45:29

This isn't the new wave. If this is the new wave, your kids and your grandkids are going to suffer. How much has he added to the national debt? Two trillion? I don't know. Three trillion because of his taxing situation? He's added to the national debt. I mean, I could go on and on and on. You had a caller that called in three or four calls back, talked about the end of the world and all that. Secondly, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and there's one more. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey. They formed a pact over there that if one is, if one is bombed or attacked, that's attacking all three of them. So all three would get involved. to the atomic bomb right now, right now. And I think that's Palestine. Not Palestine. Pakistan. Yeah, Pakistan. Yeah, Pakistan. I think Pakistan has the atomic bomb right now. So if one of those countries is attacked, that's like having, that's like when we were in World War II. We had the allies and the axes and all that. If one of those countries is attacked, and the other one uses the attack.

1:47:03

over there because it's it's truly becoming a powder keg that his may swirl out of control and it's going to be it's going to be disastrous it's going to i hope not i hope people come to their senses i don't know again this is not not my world anymore it's this isn't what i grew up with before i move along what's for dinner what's for dinner i made a uh I made a pizza, but this wasn't of my doing. So I added something to it, you know, a little bit here and there. But I had a pizza that I pulled out of the freezer, and that's what we had. I put more cheese on it. I had some homemade sauce that I put on top when I put peppers on it. I cut up some pepperoni and blah, blah, blah. So this was like a store-bought pizza, but you added to it. Exactly. Exactly. Gotcha. And if you would, and you keep talking about it. about this Ohio, what is your electric bill? Yes. I want to go back to 20, I have it right in front of me. My 222 bill.

1:48:36

conditioning ran day and night but so far that's the highest bill that I can take you back four years with other bills and you're off by 20 or 30 bucks I just it I don't know where you're coming up with this electric bill that's doubling and tripling in your home I've you got me confused here well all I get into Yes, she has an electric stove. That is true. Right, there's a big, there's a big one right there. How is your home air conditioned? Oh, heated? No, that's electric. No, no, no. The stove is electric, the dryer's gas, and obviously there's air conditioning. But it's all, it's air conditioning as we cool to 72. I have a couple of what they call roof fence fans that run to keep the... You have a, about 3,600 square footer. 4,500 square footer? Could I ask what your square footage is? 2,400. You're about 300 more than mine. I'm about 20-21. Right. Okay. And insulated well and all that kind of stuff, but it's... Okay. I... I don't know, maybe you should start eating out more instead of cooking at home. All right. I don't know. I can't figure out why you're doing so high. Maybe you should start dropping stuff over so that we don't have to cook and we can just take it home. Do you have parties every weekend? A constant party. There have other people living there that you're not aware of? Yes, I have some illegals living there, and it's like a fraternity house with parties on a weekend. All right. Have a good night, my friends. Good hearing your voice. All right. You're on the ear. So what you're saying is... I'm glad you called. The guru of Gerard. Michael, he sent me, folks, you have officially became like, did you buy this e-bike, e-trike? I am right now evaluating between those two to decide. I think I'm going to go with electric. and run one of those cool, you know, flags on top. So what you're saying is you think if I ride this that no longer attractive young women are going to want to get with me? Oh, there's no question in my mind about that. That goes without saying, this is an electric e-bike that's a trike. And, yeah, there is no question if you're on this. Your wife might even divorce you if you start riding this. I offered a buyer once. She said, no way, but I will ride with you on my regular bike. Oh, my God. Yeah. She can do it, too. I mean, she runs like half marathon. Right, right. And it's, and you're going to put the orange flag on it, too.

1:51:43

Oh, yeah. And the big, oversized seat with the back on it and the lights. Now, what does this cost? What's the price tag? $1,700, I think. If I get the extra battery, I think it's an extra $400 or something. But I'm not going to do it all at once. I'll see if I really like it. We'll get 70 miles on a charge. Where are you planning on taking it? Well, so you said, you know, like Jim Jabs or my grand niece and nephew's sports games to go visit my dad, to go up the street to Giant Eagle, maybe around Dollar General. Now, would you be riding it on the road or on the sidewalk? On the, oh, I mean, you could do either, but, you know, the road, but I'm not going to really, like, focus on busy roads, you know? Even if I take it, like, to YSU, for example, if I was just looking at the map, you realize I could get from Dorard to YSU without really, like, going on any busy roads. Where would you park it that you wouldn't get stolen? No, you can't steal. It's like got a key, and, you know, you got to lock it. You got a lock it. You got a lot. You got to lock it down. Don't you don't think it can't be stolen with because you got a key. I mean, if you don't chain that thing down, that'd be gone. Well, I'll bring a couple locks. Okay. You know, I'll get a couple locks and lock it. Like they got a parking garage, you know, park around in front of the camera. It's parking garage. I don't know. I mean, I'm only going to do it a few days because once it gets cold, you're going to do it in Ohio. But. I'm just thinking, you know, ever since I got my zero-turn electric battery-powered mower. Yeah. It's like changed my whole way of thinking. Like, I'm bored. I just, I don't worry about going to get gas anymore. I just, you know, charge it up and, hey, I got a cut. You know, and I like that. And I just want something like that, you know, to have around, like, if I'd say, I want to go do with my dad. I don't want to think about going to buy gas or anything. It just, you know. hop on it and go and we've got the two baskets on it you know i know i'm looking at the picture you sent me i mean i'm looking at it i want to be functional if i'm going to look like an old geek i want to really you know be functional do you think if you if you buy that bike and you put that orange flag on it okay do you think your wife will ever have sex with you again um sure Sure. You had to think about it. You paused. Do you think that she would ever say as you're riding down the sidewalk, that's my guy? That's not the tenant. You know, that's just, you know, we've, that's not the kind of girl. She is, you know. She never cared that I had the old car, you know. In fact, like, when I met her, I was, like, going through phase when I just didn't have it, I had, like, pretty. I know. Hold her car, and she didn't care. Yeah, but you were performing. You know, you were singing, and she was attracted to the band. Let's put it that way. The smoker or joker. That was me, man. Right. Yeah. Hey, incidentally, you sent me a good article yesterday. Reunerate what you sent me about. That guy that was calling about fracking coming in Marietta coming to the surface. Oh, this is scary, man.

Yeah, I remember what was happening here when they were injecting well water that we got from Pennsylvania into the ground here because PA outlawed and we didn't. Yeah. And they put it, I mean, ideally what they were saying is, hey, geology is a bunch of layers on top of each other, right? Yeah. And certain layers are harder than each other. And as time goes by, you know, there's a time span that makes that layer. Okay. So they were, I'm not sure of the exact location. It was in the Berea layer that this had, where the Marietta was one. But here, we were putting it down 9, 7,000 feet to a place called the Mount Simon formation. And so they drill down and they make these wells and then they go sideways. And they... Injection wells... The hydraulic fracture. Right, right, where they shoot the water in it. And they... And they shoot water, and then it comes back up with the oil and everything, right? It comes back up first before the oil starts coming up. And then they take that and that's injection water and they say, hey, let's put this instead of... They used to put it in ponds in Ohio. And that would just leach into all the wells and everything. And it's radio, I forgot to mention, because it's down that far, it's often radioactive material. So it's not like it's not just going to, it's not going to clean itself up. You know, it takes a long time. Right. So, all right. So these injection wells, they said, all right, you can go and put it in these old injection wells that we used to put. So we got oil out of that was higher up in, it wasn't 7,000 feet, like 4,000 feet, but they were all empty because we took all the natural gas and oil out of there. So we'll put that water back in there. Well, it turned out that didn't work so well because it wasn't deep enough, and it was going into the water table. So they said, all right, well, why don't we put it into the same level? that we're putting it into when we get the... Right, yeah, right. On these injections, like 9,000 to 7,000 feet down. Right, they drilled these wells. And remember the controversy was you're taking the water and you're taking it out of the water cycle. Oh, that's for sure, too. No longer exist. And because water is, you only have so much. And you're taking it out of the water cycle and you're injecting it in the ground and that's the end of it. So that's what they did. in Marietta, and now they thought the problem solved, it's in the injection. Well, remember around here we had earthquakes with it and that kind of stuff. Well, there's one piece you're missing, the wrong on the injection walls. They made them cap it with like many thousand feet of cement to keep it down at that layer so they didn't come up layers and get into the water table. And that's what's happening in Marietta. It's coming through. It found another way out. And, you know, an earthquake or something can happen, anything that crack, make the crack in the ground, and you've got this stuff in it, you know, wants to come out. And it's going to come out, because the only other alternative, the one thing we said out of the water table, I'll only correct you in one thing. When you get down so far into the earth, this liquid that's in there, they expectant to have proven in some ways that that water flows within the earth, too. And that comes out, but it often comes out. It's so far down and it comes out into the ocean.

So the bottom line is that this water was never supposed to surface because they capped it with concrete and these injection wells, and somehow it's leaching back up to the surface. Right? Yep, that's what I was reading. I didn't even hear about that until you said it yesterday, too. So thanks for getting me up to speed. I haven't been, you know, as... Well, I didn't hear about it until that guy called about it yesterday. And then you sent me that article in Son of a Gun. There it is in Marietta, where they're saying they put the wastewater from fracking into these injection wells, and now they got a problem because it isn't supposed to resurface, and it is. We'll have to talk more about it. This is really scary. It's of concern. It's of concern because of... Well, because if that gets in your drinking water, it's not going away. You could, you know, if that got into meander, it could be done. All right, old timer. Talk to you later. See you. All right. The guru of Gerard, Miguel, back in a minute. Back to school is almost here. 570 WKBN. In Ron Furb, you're on here. Hello? Yes. Kelly from Youngstown. Yes. So I just want to say the guy Fifth Avenue that said it's all old people calling in, well, I'm a young one. I'm a boomer baby. I'm Gen X. And I voted for Donald Trump every single time. I vote for him again in 2028. And that guy that called about Iran, and I agree with him. Finish the job. I voted for this. Finish the job. Because no other president will have the guts to do it, except him in my lifetime. Okay? And the fifth avenue wants to talk about Obama. He was the biggest divider of this country that this country ever had and send palates to cash to Iran. That's how you want to solve the problem. Send them money to build the nuclear weapons. And Hillary with the uranium one. So. I don't know what Fifth Avenue is thinking, but I'm young, and I would vote for Donald Trump again. And you got Obama supporting El-Sahad in Michigan running for Senate. The socialist, anyone see a pattern here of the socialism takeover of this country? I don't want my grandkids have a socialist country. I don't want Sharia law to be implemented here. Well stated. Well stated. And you know what? Okay. Has he made some decisions about Iran? Trump has told his administration, they have all said his heart breaks when a soldier dies. I totally believe that with him. There's a side that Donald Trump that nobody knows because they're watching all the lies on all the mainstream media puts out about him. Not all the good stuff. They refuse even report it. They won't even put the state of union address up. of a president. Are you kidding me? So anyway. Very impressive. I want you to call me more often. We've got to hear more of what you have to say, okay? Oh, sounds good. Thank you. We really do. You're on the air. Hello, Ron. Thanks for taking my call. I'd share a few quick articles. This is Wall Street Journal today.

Gulf states accept new normal in Hormuz. Iran is in control. Persian Gulf energy producers are concluding that Iran's control the Strait of Hormuz will become permanent, disrupting the oil and gas exports, and global energy supplies indefinitely. The problem is they worry the alternative is going back to the world would be worse. So Iran kind of accepted that... I mean, other states around the Persian Gulf are kind of accepted that Iran's called the shots now. I tell you what, you need to call me tomorrow when I start at 3 o'clock and pick it up. I want to hear more of this. I'm out of time, okay? I need to hear this. All right. Thank you.
