Hey, we got the bad news. I know you're going to be talking about and have talked about how Jackie did not survive. And obviously I thought of you instantly because you are so engaged, have been in this story. And what I was thinking of it, and this is, and I don't know if you take this into account, because I know for you it's incredibly painful. And it's kind of a drag, too. I mean, it really is. And that is her death. was not man-made at all. It wasn't because of habitat. It wasn't because you ran into a power line. It was just nature doing what nature does. And I don't know if that makes you feel better because this is just the way the world works. It does. Okay. It does. I mean, yeah, I mean, that's what one of the things that we've learned from watching this over the years is that nature happens and sometimes it can be very cruel. I mean, you know, we've watched the chicks hatch and then die in the nest. I mean, it's, and it's heartbreaking. But, and, you know, it's part of life. Yeah. And I will tell even, you know, and I'm not a big fan of nature, as you know, I think, I think nature is basically BS, as you probably know that. Just, eh, all right. If I ever, if I were single again, I would, I'd run an ad. I'd go on the internet with these dating services and say, I don't like walking along the beach. I don't like going to the forest. Do you like Pinacoladas? Getting caught in the rain? I like, I like virgin Peña Coladas. The alcohol ruins it. I don't like trees. I like sitting on my ass watching TV and eating Costco burritos. How about it, baby? You want to date? So I wouldn't do very well. And imagine that he's off the market. Yeah. And imagine someone actually married me twice. Yeah, I know it's frightening. But I was thinking of you. So, you know, sorry it happened. And I am because I know that it's a big deal for you. It was a big deal to a lot of people. Yeah, it was. So now what happens to shadow boxing?

So Shadow is just, he's on summer vacation right now. That's what they call it. Okay, but what happens? Because don't, uh, Eagles, probably. Okay, don't they mate for life? Well, they. Well, she's dead. She actually hooked up with Shadow after she was with Mr. B. Somehow there was a, she cheated. She cheated on him. I don't know about that. She was catting around on him. I don't think she cheated. I think that Shadow won her. in a fight or something. That's how I got my wife. In a fight? No, it was a pool game. I'm sorry. Yeah, it's right. That's how I got my wife. But I lost the fight and I still got her because the winner said, you can have her. Leave you alone. But yeah, Shadow will probably go on and he'll find a new mate, but we won't know about that for a while. And then are they going to use the same nest? Well, that's the other thing we were talking about. And I was researching that a little bit and generally, Eagles make new nests the new pairs do. This is a perfectly good nest. So who knows? Maybe they will stay there. Especially when you consider the cost of nesting these days. I know. It's getting unaffordable. Or affordability in the nesting community is a big deal. Yeah. Okay, it's kind of fun to see it. And if you ever, Alaska or a northern part of the United States, you see the bald eagles, and they're astounding to see. I mean, they're magnificent. They're absolutely beautiful. You know what I had heard. I don't know if this is true or not, but I think so. There was talk originally of the national bird of the United States being the turkey. Wasn't that Ben Franklin? I think it was. Now, I don't know if that's an urban myth or not, but can you imagine the turkey as opposed to the bald eagle? I mean, bald eagles are magnificent. They are just, they're tremendous, beautiful birds. If they pick the turkey, would we be eating bald eagle for this? Yes, we would. Yes, we would. Because we wouldn't be able to eat turkey. That's correct. That would be the national bird. Have you ever eaten eagle, by the way? No. Not bad. I got to tell you. It can be, it's very tasty under certain circumstances. Okay. See, I had to go, Amy, come on. I gave you all the kudos. I was gracious. I was, I cared. And yeah, come on. Weren't you waiting for the other foot to drop? Oh, absolutely. Of course. But anyway, no, I do feel bad, especially for you because I know how invested and engaged you were with that one. All right, guys, you ready to do it? It is time. It is time for some news handle on the news with Amy, Neil and me, lead story. It's the hard at night. Run!

The president outdid himself signing an executive order yesterday for revamping childhood vaccines. And basically taking the big one is the MMR vaccine, the measles, mumps, rubella. Also, there's the distemperer and the parvo vaccines that are given to kids. And he wants to separate out the three. the vaccines that they put together, the MMR, and saying, let's separate them out and we'll give three different vaccines. And, you know, the medical community is going, are you guys, are you crazy? And Bill Cassidy, the doctor, whose vote, by the way, confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. like an idiot. And he knows he's an idiot. Basically ripped into Trump. No scientific evidence. Matter of fact, it's a deterrent to vaccinations that what Trump did. Because now a kid, you... A early kid, I mean, a young kid, now has to undergo three different vaccinations for the same protection. At three different times. At three different times. So that's it. I mean, it just makes no sense. And then reduced the requirements, or at least reduced the, what's the word I'm looking for here? The. Exactly. Anyway, reduced, hey, I get paid for this and our ratings are through the roof. I want to point that out. What, the efficacy of them? Not the efficacy. The schedule? The number of vaccines needed? Number of that, no, reduced number. No, it sounds like, okay, two syllables. It reduced the number of recommended. Thank you very much, Bill. Of recommended vaccines from 18 down to 11 in the medical community, you're going completely out of your mind. And the president, again, of course, which he does in terms of these kinds of issues, came up with absolutely BS reasons, no scientific basis at all. But this is not a mandate, right? It's an option. Yeah, it is. What it is a recommendation. Oh. It is a wreck. But what the government recommends, people follow. And now you have, you have parents who, oh, my God, the government under Trump says, oh, we should have fewer vaccines. We should have no vaccines. You know, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. is still touting autism. Oh, and the president touted autism. That's what he said, is that there is evidence that vaccines cause autism. There is zero evidence that vaccines cause autism. Zero. From the autistic people or people on the spectrum that I've met, I'd rather have more of them and less of the rest of us, quite honestly. They're kind, smart.

interesting people. The rest of us are jackasses. Yeah, they look down a lot. They don't speak very much. I have it backwards. You know what? That's not a bad point. Okay, let's do one more and then we'll take a break. The search for survivors is on. Rescuers are digging through the rubble of collapsed buildings in Western Columbia for survivors. The... Country had its strongest earthquake this century. It has killed at least 160 people so far. Emergency teams in the worst affected areas, including Cali and Pararia, have been working through the night, listening for signs of life, trying to reach people who are trapped beneath. concrete and debris from the 7.4 earthquake. Yeah, there were going to be a lot of deaths in the thousands. Did you see the video of those buildings collapsing? Yeah. Absolutely crazy. Like a freaking movie. Well, we were talking about that too. Like they showed the street. People standing in the street and it just starts like going up and down and you're just sitting there going, wow. And just watching them try to stay standing up. And then the buildings behind them collapsing. I mean, the video is incredible. And the way it moves. Like it wasn't just moving in one direction. Oh, those up and down, sideways, back and forth. Yeah. And it lasts. Or the longer it lasts, of course, the more damage. Oh, by the way, we got a someone called in. Her name is Lynn. She is a history teacher. And she says the whole Ben Franklin turkey thing. was actually the first drawing of the bald eagle on money or something, he said, looked like a turkey. Ah, you know, I thought it was, it was, whether it was an urban myth or not, but that makes sense. So thanks, prop. So, yeah, so you take, yeah, thanks for writing in, Lynn. She. Okay, from a very stupid step coming out of the health secretary's office. This one I rather like. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.. yesterday unveiled a plan aiming at tightening this loophole. It's been around for decades that allowed food companies to pursue. put certain chemicals in their products without notifying the nation's food regulators or anything like that, the federal health officials. And it's something I see all the time. It says GRAS, which is short for generally recognized as safe. So it allows companies to kind of self-certify the safety of these certain chemicals and substances and put them in the food without notifying the food and drug administration. So. they're tightening this up. And I think this is actually a good idea. And by the way, you're not alone. Where on the vaccine front, there is nobody of any legitimacy that agrees with what the administration is doing. There are tons of people. I would say the majority of experts and scientists and food folks are saying this is a good idea because self-certification is.

You know, the Boeing Max was self-certified before it fell out of the sky a few times. And so the FAA is coming down much harder on self-certification. And so you're right. It's a, it's good news. And then Amy, the bad news. Yeah, we lost our majestic Jackie, the bald eagle. She died yesterday morning at Ohio Rehabilitation Center, the Raptor Center. She was 14. Of course, she was taken to the Raptor Center a little over three weeks ago after she got into a territorial spat with a couple of sub-adults. And then although... They're saying that she wasn't really injured in that. She couldn't fly after that. And they discovered that she had severe anemia, kidney inflammation. And they tried to figure out what was causing that. They tried to treat it. They tried a blood transfusion. And she just never bounced back. And she finally succumbed. A week ago, they said she was on the mend. Well, because they did the blood transfusion and her PCV levels. which are in the red blood cells, they went up. But then they dipped back down over the weekend. They came back up a little bit. But again, they were like the last measurement that we heard of was 9%, which is packed cell volume. And it needs to be at like 35 or 40%. So it was really critically low. And she just couldn't. She didn't get enough oxygen into her blood. Couldn't she get an organ transplant? Do they even do eagle organ transplants? I don't know, but they did do a blood transfusion on her. Okay, just wondering. By the way, I was kidding. I was kidding about that. I don't think they do eagle organ transplants. Birds are very fragile. I don't know about the transplants, but their systems very fragile and they're hard to put under is my understanding. All right. That's a sad story indeed. All right. Trump hid in a catering cart. So says this story and a couple others. Elaborate ruse is what they're calling it. They used to transport the president to a military flight from Air Force One to return from NATO, the meaning that he had. And apparently they got a, they had him do the walk up. Air Force One, you know, the wave, do all that stuff. And then they transferred him out in like a catering cart. Yeah, on the other side of the plane. Yeah. Big catering carts. And this was because of a incredible threat from Iran. And this happened before where they sneak presidents off. And should we be telling people that? I think it just came out. They shouldn't be. That's not something we do, although after the fact, quite often we do find out. Bill Clinton did that. George W. Bush did that during his Gulf War when he secretly went on a Thanksgiving to troops. I think it was in Afghanistan. Okay. Oh, fire news. Big sir is in trouble. If you've ever been a big sir, you know how.

Absolutely beautiful it is. There's a fast-growing wildfire. It's burned through more than 1,700 acres, a lot of evacuation orders. The fire just started on Sunday morning in the Las Padres National Forest southeast of the neighborhood of Loma Vista. Firefighters on the ground are experiencing some extremely steep, rugged terrain mixed in with hot, dry temperatures and winds that are variable. That's according to Cal Fire Captain or Chief Josh Silvera. Switching directions wins are switching directions pretty regularly. So they say it's definitely giving them some challenges and getting an upper hand. Yep. People camping in the area, they've been forced out. Oh, of course. We're going to change weather reports are going to change. Today, fire, tomorrow more fire. And next week we're looking at fire coming in. That's exactly, unfortunately, what's going to happen. Look at what's going on around the world. fires and the floods and the tornadoes. And I haven't heard about climate change being a hoax lately. Have you? Is that a thing anymore? Or have people pretty well accepted? Even the crazy people are not... Do people think that it's a hoax? Some do. Like that the temperatures aren't changing? Nope. They're saying climate change is a hoax. Oh, I can think of someone. The president has said it over and over again, and he has not come back on that. He has not said anything contrary. Now, he hasn't said it a lot, but his position is that it is a hoax. Matter of fact, it is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind in history. But you can definitively show that the temperature is changing. Do you mean that they think that it is hyperbolic and used to? No, it's, I think it breaks down to, and maybe he's referring to, and now we haven't differentiated that, it's man-made, that we, man had, yeah, man had any influence, the carbon dioxide, for example, that's being released in the atmosphere by burning of fossil fuels, et cetera, that that hasn't caused the climate change. It is, people are nuts, that's all, you know, conspiracy people are crazy. It's that simple. You know, it's, Look at the weather. It's going to get worse. I've said this many, many times. And by the way, I wasn't alone. You know, I just actually pay attention to science, God forbid. All right. So I got to sip through this one a little bit. Lauren Boebert, as we know, representative of Colorado. Her son, Tyler Bobart, is accused of recording in 2024 a sex video with a 17-year-old. The way this reads, they give his current age of 21 and then the age of the girl back then. But in reality, he was 18 and she was 17. So that's the question I have is I. So he gets tagged with not only the videoing, but also having sex with a minor. Yes, you can be one week apart in age.

If someone is 18 and the other one is 17, and that's technically sex with a minor. So that's odd. However, we don't know about the videoing. Was that consent? The videoing and the posting of it, because this article says that they, it doesn't say who posted the video. That's true. And that I can see is an issue if it wasn't consensual if one or the other had a problem with it. It's got to be because the other. Would that make news? Yeah, maybe because it's a congressperson's child, but come on. An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old somehow contributing to delinquency of a minor or some kind of a sex crime. Leave me alone. It's not like his mom is making out in like a Broadway play. They could be one month apart. How about 18 year olds dating 17 year old? It's not an 18 year old with a 13 year old, which is, of course, a criminal and should be a fence. Okay, moving on. Finally, fessing up. For the first time, President Trump has acknowledged that, oops, it was a construction error on the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. Of course, he's been saying it was vandalism, even made some arrests. You finally got it, Bill. He finally got the apology. It wasn't, not quite. He posted on truth social. Yeah, he'll never apologize. This is a Trump apology. I guess. He did say the reflecting pool will be open shortly and said, as with many jobs, there was also some contractor error done by rushing the job for a July 4th opening. By the way, vandals are still in the mix, you know. It's still the work of vandals, but also the work of shoddy construction. Are they shoddy construction vandals? Yeah, maybe. All right. They've dropped all charges against anybody who was arrested for vandalism. Wait, Amy, do you have a double hit here? I think she does. No. Number nine, that's you. I don't have a nine. Number nine. Oh, number eight, there is. You don't have a number nine? No, we don't have a number nine. Okay, well, I have it. The California Supreme Court has ruled that electronic recording is allowed in civil cases when the court cannot provide a reporter to make a transcript. So that means stenographers could be out. All right. Yeah. All right. That makes sense. I still think they should have them. What if something goes wrong with the technology? Okay. Because they're very expensive. A stenographer? Oh, yeah, yeah. Well, compared to a computer, yeah. Yeah, no kidding. They make a very good living stenographers. But, you know, technology is there. You know, if something goes wrong, how about this, a backup? Does that work? Maybe. Okay. But it's going to be interesting in trials like for Nick Reiner, where the judge just said, okay, you can have computers in there and you can take notes, but no recording.

Oh, okay. You know, I'll give you that. I'll give you that. So let's put it this way. He is on his way and is not going to be able to, we're not going to get to the point where we have state ownership of everything. This is not. Oh, no. Okay. I think they had to, on this particular thing, they had to remove the part where it said taxed the white devil. I think that was the hang up with this one. There are plenty of black devils out there, too. I mean, he doesn't differentiate between black devils. Yeah, money is money. Money is money. That's right. All right. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth pushed Congress to approve this major increase in the Pentagon's budget. And this was during a ceremony just yesterday to rename a base for the late Senator Lindsey Graham. So he was a veteran. who was long known for his advocacy of expanding the military. Yeah, in the budget that the administration wants, goes from $800 billion to the military to double that. And that doesn't include the war in Iran. I mean, they're going balls to the wall. And, of course, entitlement programs, social programs are falling by the wayside very quickly. Again, it's just a philosophy, that's all. Well, what's the saying? Sepakum, parableum. Do you want peace? Prepare for war? Yeah, this is a little bit much, in my opinion. But that's, you know, again, we voted this administration in. The president, no hidden agenda. He said, I want a lot more military. And okay. So what's going to happen during the midterms? We'll see if it changes at all. Drop it. It's the drop system in California. It stands for delete, request, and opt-out platform. It's a service funded by registration fees that are paid for by data brokers, not directly by taxpayers, and clears your data from the internet. Because everybody talks about all of my data is all over the place. There are services that will scrub it for you. Now, California apparently is doing it free for you. And more than 425,000 Californians have registered for the drop program. Data brokers started processing deletion request in early August. More than 8 million records were released, deleted rather, in just the first few days. Okay. Oh, great, great story of... Airplane kid story. This is when you want to people have their kids crying and I say take your kid outside. Listen, a kid crying is one thing, but this is a whole other thing. A flight was canceled in Canada after a child, they don't say how old he was, but after a child refused to sit down and fasten their seatbelt. So you have the parents. and the cabin crew repeatedly trying to get this child in their seat, but were unsuccessful. And when they would strap him in, he'd or her, I don't know, is it a him? Would slide out of.

the seat belt. And all I could think of that scene from airplane where everybody's lined up to smack the hysterical woman or something and they've got bats and medieval maces. I have a question. Why? Why is it illegal to not zip tie a kid by the wrist and put duct tape over his mouth when this happens? I don't know, Bill. I don't either, because that seems to be an easy answer for me because this plane had to turn around off the tarmac, yet off, everybody had to get off, could not fly because it was up against the time in which a plane couldn't take off. Oh, yeah. This is not the kid getting off and them going on there. Everyone had to leave the next morning. Okay, so here's an easy one. I'm going to go back to you zip tie his ritz together, you throw the duct tape across his mouth, and then you put the seatbelt on. That'll work. 30 seconds in, if my child did that, I would say, I'm sorry, we're going off the plane. Yeah, why didn't they just throw the parent and the kid off the plane? Zip tie the kid. Duck tape around the mouth. Shut up. Bourbon might have done it. Yeah, that's it. That's how I've always taken my kids so they were quiet. Just unbelievable amounts of Benadryl. I mean, just knock them on their asses. They shut up for sure. I'm just making sure that we got that cut for the police. Yeah. Okay, guys, we are done.
