Ep. 5654: Wake Up Church!

Tuesday, August 11th, here on the morning show with Preston Scott. I'm Preston. He's Jose. And more on this date in history and mere moments. Show 56.54, we will start a three-day exploration, at least, into Ephesion 6 this morning. Because the times demand it now. maybe more than ever. Paul is writing to the Ephesian church and he says, finally, this is how he's ending his letter, his note to them. Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. I want to emphasize that for a second. What I'm proposing is that we are in a spiritual battle and if you try to do this, on your own, you've got no shot. It says in his might, put on the full armor of God. This is Ephesion 6 starting with verse 10. We're going to read just a few verses and then we'll stop today and go deeper tomorrow into actual pieces of armor. But he says, put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Pause. Stand against. Take a literal picture of that phrase. Standing against something. He's telling us that We need to put on a spiritual plate of armor, this equipment. We need to take it on. And then we need to stand against something. If you were to brace yourself against a door, you're doing that because you know there's a force coming against you from the other side. So you stand against it. Paul's saying there is, in fact, a spiritual war going on and you need to stand against it or else you'll be overwhelmed. See, that's the thing here. Not enough people in America are taking seriously the spiritual threats that we are under right now. The forces that are opposing. We're just not. If we were... we'd be winning. And that's why I have a little theological problem with those that are believing that we're in this millennial realm right now where Christ is won, the enemies have been vanquished, and we're just rocking and I disagree. The evidence of sin is overwhelming. And that is not evidence of a victory that's been been. not just secured but finalized. We have a victory that's secured. But it's not been finalized yet. There's no evidence to suggest that. It will be. I have no doubt about that. But it says we do not wrestle.

Against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. I want to highlight that phrase, this present darkness. It's a book I recommend every single one of you read. It is one of the very few novels I ever. I probably have bought and handed out 10 copies of that. It's written by Frank Peretti. It was written in the maybe early 90s, late 80s, early 90s. And it is a novel. That describes brilliantly to me the spiritual wars that are waged in communities across this country. It creates one hypothetical town that doesn't exist. It creates this town and it shares events. But it does it with biblical basis in teaching through this story. It's called This Present Darkness. There's a sequel to it, but the first book is exceptional, and I recommend it. This Present Darkness by Frank Perretti. You can still get it, and it's useful. Ten past the hour. It's the morning show with Preston Scott.

The name of the city, Virginia City, Nevada, it had to come from people that moved from Virginia. They moved to Nevada. They didn't know probably it was Nevada. It was just this territory to the west, and they probably said, I'm done. The wife said, I'm done traveling. We're stopping here. So they plant stakes, they create a town, and Old Clem or whatever says, well, what are we going to call her? Hmm. We came from Virginia. I have an idea. Let's call it Virginia City. It's the only way I can think that you're calling a town in Nevada, Virginia City. It could come up with another name. So they went with what they knew. 1877 astronomer Asaph Hall discovers two moons of Mars. 1924, the first newsreel of the U.S. presidential candidates showing Calvin Coolidge and Robert M. LaFollette is filmed in Washington, D.C. 1965 racial tensions triggers several days of rioting in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles. Democrats. 1992, the Mall of America, the largest mall in the United States opens in Bloomington. I understand it is now gang-ridden, but I don't know that for certain. I need to check with my brother Patrick. See if that's still the case. It was built where they had Metropolitan Stadium where the twins and the Vikings played, and they had an arena there, and that's where the North Stars played. And they demolished it all and built the Mall of America. And I've been to the Mall of America once, and it is, if it exists as it once did, it is one of the most incredible things to see. It has an indoor roller coaster in the mall. No, I'm not kidding. It would take a couple of days to go through the entire mall, all the levels, all the stores. But I don't know if it's still a thing. What else do we have? National Sons and Daughters Day. Every day is National Sons and Daughters Day. I pray for our sons and our daughter every single day. Every day. National Presidential Joke Day. I've got it. I know a presidential joke. Joe Biden. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Sorry. National Raspberry Bomb with a E. B-O-M-B-E. Bamba. Bamba. Bomba. Bomb.

Day. What's a raspberry bomb? It is, let's see, tantalizing frozen dessert. Throughout August, raspberries are ripening, and that's why, okay, I don't believe you. A raspberry bomb contains sherbet, heavy cream, sugar, chopped nuts, candied fruit, and a dash of rum. Ah! layered in a spherical mold frozen overnight with raspberries as the main ingredient creates a terrific centerpiece. Oh, whatever. Give me a molten fudge cake with some vanilla ice cream. It's playing the sand day. Global kinetic sand day. Kinetic sand is cool. That's that stuff that you can get in the store and it just molds. So there you go. 16 passed. Getting notes already from folks about the discussion this morning on Ephesion 6. If you don't recognize and absolutely embrace the biblical reality of spiritual warfare, You are going to repeatedly have your butt handed to you day in and day out unnecessarily. Understanding the weapons that we have at our disposal because of Christ does not eliminate the fight. It doesn't make it go away. It equips you because, here, let's, let me, let me use this for an example. You can hunt by hand, I suppose, or let's say you could use a firearm.

What are you going to do? What's more effective for taking down a bear? You're trying to take him down with yourself? Will you bear hands? Yeah. Now, Jose's in there flexing. He's in there. He's like, oh, yeah. Bring bear on, baby. Come on. All I know is if I'm out in the wild, I just better be faster than the guy I'm with. Because otherwise, and those odds are probably not in my favor unless I'm with somebody my age or older. No, I, I, you, you fight with weapons, you hunt with. what is appropriate for the mission at hand. Are you going to go fishing without, without a lure, without bait, without a hook, without a net, without, or you're going to just dive in there and catch it with your bare hands? You're going to catch a, you know, let's say a redfish with your bare hands. It's doubtful. You look silly doing it. And in the same way, there are specific tools needed to fight spiritually. And if you don't avail yourself of them, You're going to get whipped. You just are. So. And it actually connects to this story because I've reached out to Dinesh D'Souza. Dinesh has been on the program a few times over the years. Always have a great visit with him. He's got a book coming out called The Stones Cry Out. Make a note of this. It's due for release on October 13th. What is it about? archaeological evidence that supports the Old and New Testament. He has spent three years researching and digging out the stories and the accounts. And the book, I will tell you now, I will be getting the book. I'll wait and see if he sends me one, but I will be getting the book regardless. And by the way, I'm known to do that. I'm a hard book guy. And so oftentimes I'll get a paperback from somebody who wants to come on the show. And if I'm interested, I will go ahead and get the book in a hardback. I'll pay for it because I like hardbacks. I don't like paperbacks. Hardbacks stand the test of time. They just, they last. And I, yeah. This book, though, I've been reading about it and the stuff that he has in it. And he loves the skeptics. He said the archaeology that he is studied and seen and read the reports of it and interviewed the people that did the discovery. Examples. Verifying Pontius pilot. To the extent that... The pilot stone, the archaeological evidence that bore his name and identified him as the prefect of Judea. It's on permanent display at the Israeli Museum in Jerusalem. Not only does it confirm his existence, but the Bible writers had the title exactly. Only later was he called a procurator. He was called a prefect. And...

The writers of the Bible got that right. It's one of those little tidbits. Balam, Moab's leader, Balam. There are a lot of people that thought, he's just made up. He's created to create a storyline. No, they found archaeological evidence with his name. Caiaphas? The priest that ran the trial of Jesus. Another one that a lot of people are going, nah, no, no, no. He's the guy who orchestrated the crucifixion of Christ. Well, they found his name, too, on a box of bones. And the bones are of about a guy 60 years old. It's just. Make note of the name of the book, The Stones Cry Out, Dinesh D'Souza. And yeah, I'll be, I threw out the line. And like I said, I've been fortunate to have Dinesh on the program a few times. So we're going to go for it and try and get them on again to talk exclusively about this book. I cannot wait. I think we'll get it. I think we'll do this. So just make note. All right. This was in yesterday's paper. Maybe it was digital. Maybe it was the print. Maybe it was both. But it was at least in the digital. So that's what you are now, huh? Not a newspaper, but a sex toy. Promotional advertising money saver or something. God bless. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, really. Just, well, anyway. Anthony Fauci privately discussed concerns about COVID-MRNA vaccines for pregnant women in January of 2021. Fever. After a second dose, a risk of miscarriage after the first, during the first trimester, according to text messages from his phone. Exchanges with the then center for the CDC, director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, and Dr. Vivek Ramaswamy Murthy, who would later become Joe Biden's Surgeon General. May I point out.

Lieutenant Colonel Teresa Long, Major Samuel Sigeloff, who I had on the program, after he had been banished to Fort Wachuka, Arizona, he was stripped of his ability to practice medicine in the Army because they said he was giving out faulty information about COVID. What he and Dr. Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel Long were doing. They were pointing out, among other things, difficulties for pregnant people in armed services, the women. They were right. Anthony Fauci was acknowledging it, and yet they are among many who got punished. By the way, a lot of us were right, too. Arizona City stops using flock cameras, Chandler, Arizona. Chandler is a suburb of Phoenix. It's near Mesa and Tempe. And because officers were abusing the cameras, using them for personal purposes, city shut them down. There is room for a very significant discussion on these cameras. Do they help solve crimes? Yes, they do. I have no objection to them being used to help solve crimes. I have an objection to them being dumped all over for school zones. We just need to stop it. This snooping is far enough. I'd be in favor of putting phony ones out. Let people guess. And then this might be, this is one of the better stories, and we'll spend more time on it. Mark Wilson, president of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, is quoted frequently in this story in Fox Business. Florida names New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, economic developer of the year in a Times Square campaign. From the state of Florida on a digital billboard in Times Square, we are running ads, the Florida Chamber thanking the mayor for being the developer of Florida's economy of the year. Because of the amount of residence, income, business he's sending to the state. So we're thanking him. And I love it. It is brilliant. We'll talk more about that next hour. 40 minutes passed. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I am so comfortable in my manhood that I have no problem with people saying, you're just chicken. When I say, don't swim in rivers and lakes in Florida or anywhere in the southeast where there are alligators. Another woman lost an arm. And is lucky to be alive. A gruesome alligator attack. Silver River near Ocala. Woman was among a group of swimmers. She spotted an alligator approaching and tried to fend it off with a paddle. The alligator grabbed her right arm, dragged her underwater. Nearby, a guy named John Gamash was eating lunch on his boat with his dad when he heard what happened. I just looked up river, a couple hundred feet and saw an alligator head way above water going full speed towards the swimmers. He immediately raced his boat towards the group. He was trying to scare the alligator away. What he found was an ugly wound and injury. I'll stop. I won't describe it. I'll simply say he used a rope from his boat to keep the woman from bleeding to death. Well, he helped the woman. His dad got other swimmers and children out of the water and onto the boat. They rushed the group back to a nearby boat launch. First responders had been called and were waiting. The woman will survive, but she lost her arm. Wildlife Commission sent a trapper. They removed a 9-foot 8-inch gator. This is now a few attacks in a few weeks, and we are outside mating season. This is... I get it. Well, you know, you can't just be scared. Yes, I can. I can. I absolutely can. I have more faith swimming in the ocean than I have swimming in rivers and lakes. That could be totally irrational to most of you. I'm fine with that. I'm very comfortable in my own skin. And I want to keep my skin on my body the way it is right now. I have no interest in being alligator bait. None. None. I will be happy to be on a lake. I will be happy to be on a river, but I will not be in one. No chance. Just not going to do it. But you do you. All I know is AAA now means something different to me. Another alligator attack. Triple A, another alligator attack. Jeez. And it was, it's just, it's nasty what happened to this poor woman. Again, she, but I know the odds are so remote.

The odds are remote of getting hit by lightning, too. But guess what? That happened. And a guy recorded it while he was getting struck by lightning. Seriously. Let me share it with you next. It's a dude, it might be like one of the most incredible cases of karma that got unleashed on somebody ever. I don't know. But you're going to hear it. Dude was laughing one second. He wasn't laughing the next. The good news is he survived with no injuries, but he was hit by lightning. Talk about that next. I know. What are the odds, right? Still serving as the mayor of Realville and dispensing information at the speed of sound. It's the morning show with Preston Scott. All right, let's set the scene here. If you've ever played golf, you've been stuck in this situation where storm comes in and you decide to try to weather the storm. Now, some golf courses have large areas that are covered that you can pull a card into or you can at least stand under. and stay dry while the rain comes and hopefully goes. This guy and his three buddies got absolutely caught up in the storm. Now, I don't know if the name on the video is the name of the guy. Because the video is posted by a Chris Chivoni. And this is in Cincinnati last Friday.

You'll hear the rain. And the guy who's videotaping is videotaping his buddies and he's laughing at the three of them because they're getting absolutely poured on and their golf cart is stuck in the middle of a fairway getting dumped on. He, on the other hand... is holding an umbrella, thinks he's just fine, but he made the mistake of standing under trees. And listen to how this unfolds. And when I said earlier, boy, karma, because he's laughing at his friends getting soaked here. Oh my God. And that's it. Lightning hit the tree where he was standing next to, and it jumped onto him, hit him in his arm. So just, I mean, now, again, I, way wrong here. I don't necessarily think God strikes people with lightning, but.

You might want to go out there and help your friends. This is the Holy Spirit, maybe, maybe, just saying. You might want to help your friends get their card unstuck. No, I wouldn't laugh. Nope. Dude, stop laughing. Stop laughing. No. Stop laughing. Okay, fine. So memo to golfers out there. It is a natural thing for anybody to want to stay out of the rain, not get wet, to limit the moisture. You've got an umbrella, but you don't want your cart to get soaked. And there's usually things on the back to cover your golf clubs. But the sides, you know, most carts, unless they're a personally owned cart, don't have little panels that unroll that can keep you dry. So most people. We'll try to find cover to keep from getting so wet. But that's fine if it's just raining. But man, when you hear thunder, thunder means lightning is in the area. Doesn't always happen that lightning follows thunder. I've watched certain storms come and go where there was plenty of thunder, but there were no lightning strikes. But generally speaking, you hear thunder, you get off the golf course unless you're in one of those sheds. But no matter what you do, you don't go under a bunch of trees. That's the worst possible idea. Oh, too funny. Glad I would not be doing this if he had been hurt seriously. But because he wasn't and he's making fun of himself, I'm good with that. I had a discussion with a gentleman yesterday, and I'll talk more about him on Friday, about the dangers of Islam. And this makes so many people uncomfortable. It is not... a religion if you dissect it it is a violent ideology and political system a governance system that is wholly incompatible with a democracy let alone a constitutional republic It is incompatible. Last week, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee subcommittee on federal courts, oversight, agency action, and federal rights held a hearing.

Hidden in plain sight confronting the Muslim Brotherhood Network in America. It was chaired by Senator Ted Cruz. All of the Republicans, except for the chairman, Ted Cruz, they had scheduling conflicts. Couldn't be there. All of the Democrats boycotted. The only person there listening to testimony was Ted Cruz. Among those offering testimony, Ariel Kleepak. I'll let her speak for herself. Chairman Cruz and members of the committee, thank you for the opportunity to testify today. My name is Ariel Claypack, and I am Senior Litigation Council at the National Jewish Advocacy Center and a former federal prosecutor. When someone tells you who they are, believe them. The Muslim Brotherhood told us their strategy for the West, but don't take my word for it. They put it on paper. In 2004, the FBI seized a memorandum from the home of Muslim Brotherhood member and Hamas, U.S.-based archivist Ismael El Barase. The memo written in 1991 described the work of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States as, and I quote, a kind of grand jihad in eliminating Western society from within. In 1993, after the announcement of the Jon Ossoff Peace Accords, a peace agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians, Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas members met in Philadelphia to discuss their plan to thwart the agreement. The FBI wiretapped the meeting where the participants suggested the creation of a neutral sounding organization for the purpose of deceiving Americans. That organization is the Council on American Islamic Relations or Care. 35 years later, their plan is working just as designed. This is not a relic of the 1990s. It is a foreign terror-supporting movement on American soil targeting our Constitution and our founding principles. I would ask you to remember three things. These organizations are dangerous. They are in our schools, and they hide by abusing the very legal system they are working to dismantle. CARE and its officials platform and maintain relationships with designated terrorists. Not then, but today. Here are just a few examples. One, in 2025, the executive director of CARE, Ohio, moderated an event that featured a member of Hamas. CARE called it an oversight. Two, the International Union of Muslim Scholars, or IUMS, founded by the now designated foreign terrorist organization, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, amplifies CARES work. This amplification is ongoing. This is the care content that is on the IUMS website today. 3. CARE's current executive director and 1993 meeting participant, Nihad Awad, has appeared at IUMS events, eulogized a U.S. designated terrorist who was also Osama bin Laden's spiritual leader, and openly celebrated Hamas' murder of civilians. Second, they are in our schools.

Care New Jersey pushed their revisionist version of a 9-11 curriculum to nearly 30 public school districts that reframed the attacks as a predictable consequence of U.S. foreign policy. Imagine the kids in all those school districts walking around learning and believing that 9-11 was our fault. Other care curricula warn teachers not to say radical Islamic terrorism and care boasts of its partnership with Chicago public schools, one of the largest in the country. Now, that's just part of her testimony. Democrats boycotted this because they considered it an Islamophobic political creep show. This is the broad ignorance of Islam. I was asked by a gentleman yesterday, why is it able to spread? Fear. Fear is how it's able to spread. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. And I'm asking you to listen carefully to what I'm sharing on this program. I'm not going to, you know, take an entire show and deal with this, but I'm going to continue to illustrate and to offer information. I'm going to do more of that in just a few minutes. He travels around. He sings. He is about Jesus and sharing the message of Christ. And he was in Chicago over the weekend for a Jesus March. and then stream this. I can't make this up, guys. I am standing in the exact place where we are doing a Jesus march in one hour, and look who's here. A massive march, a massive Muslim march, where right now they're singing over Chicago. Muhammad is the only one. May Allah be lifted up. They're declaring that all Jews and all Christians would be removed from this city. I mean, this is... You know, you know I've been talking about this over the last week. All dressed in black. Right in the middle of it. Our cities in our nation are being fought for in the spirit. I don't know if you need any more example than this right here. We didn't make this happen. We literally just walked up to the exact place where we're doing a Jesus March today in Chicago. There's a massive Muslim march where they have been declaring over the city. And you know what? The church in America is asleep. I've been saying it over the last week. This is a perfect example. The church in America is asleep. We need to wake up. Come on.

Listen, this is not a marketing thing. I did not make this happen. We did not plan this. This is a God-ordained moment for you guys around the world to see what's taking place. It's not just in Michigan. It's not just in New York. Right here in Chicago, a massive march is happening through the streets of the city where they are declaring that there is no God but Allah. They're declaring Muhammad is the true prophet. And they're literally... threatening with verses of the Quran over Christians, over Jews, over everybody that will not comply. This is America. This is America, guys. Are you awake? Do you understand what is that stake here? Giant black banners with Arabic writing, chronic verses. All dressed in black. Hundreds and hundreds of them. For six years, we've been doing worship in Jesus marches across Chicago. And I've been warning people across the cities of America, there is a spiritual battle. I've been warning people the battle is always over who will be worshipped in our cities. There's no clear example than what's taking place right now. Guys, wake up. Wake up. Wake up. The church has got to wake up. You've got to wake up. 16 past the hour. We're come on the morning show with Preston Scott. I spent a good bit of time in my vocational ministry life. studying world religions, and of course, I devoted maybe a quarter of that time to Islam because I recognized the threat of Islam 30 years ago. And so I've pulled out my notes. I've also come across a brief by a group called Center for Renewing America. It is a policy issue brief. the threat of radical Islam and Sharia law. You need to understand that in the minds of a true Islamist, Sharia, supersedes the Constitution of this nation. It rejects the biblical and moral authority of the Bible. which are two foundational aspects of this country. This country was birthed and inspired in its governance structure in what is right and wrong by the Bible. Old Testament and New Testament. It is foundational. In the same way that good luck going to an Islamic nation and getting them to do things your way,

They don't feel that way. They expect you to go to their country and follow their laws. They believe that their laws and their system and their beliefs supersede all others and that their mission is to come here and conquer us. That is a fact. But Preston, I've met Muslims that are just sweet and kind people, and a lot of them are. But they are also going to be targeted. And they will bend a knee to it. I promise you. If they have the choice between dying for not being in apostasy or for being an apostasy or not, they're going to choose life and follow. The battles that this country has had with Islamists go back to the Barbary Wars. From the halls of Mount Azuma to the shores of Tripoli, Jefferson, Adams both had run-ins with Islamists. The Barbary Nations. Listen to what Jefferson wrote. We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the grounds of their pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury and observed that we considered all mankind as our friends who had done us no wrong nor had given us any provocation. The ambassador answered for us that it was founded on the laws of their prophet and it was written in their Quran. that all nations should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found and to make slaves of all they could take prisoners and that every musselman should be slain in battle was sure to go to paradise.

This is what one of our founders encountered on Islam. We couldn't understand why they were making war against us. And then we found out because you don't bend a knee to Islam and what we say. You therefore are an enemy worthy of defeat, subjugation, or death. Friends, that was 200 and... 40 some years ago, it's not changing now. I'm going to take the time to, I hate to use the word teach, but that's what it is. I'm going to inform you. What do we do? You live, act. You are informed in your conduct as a Christian, but you do not live in fear of this. But understand, this is not a typical religion. It is a political and governance structure, and it demands either money, conversion, or death of anyone who is out there. That's not an Islamist. And that includes a Muslim who says, oh, we just live and let live. Oh, no, no, no. You are then an apostate. And right after the infidels, you will be targeted. So you understand these things. 27 minutes past.

That's so good. Mark Wilson, we wanted to thank him for the jobs, the companies, the people that they're pushing out of New York. A lot of them are coming to Florida. You said, America's at a crossroads right now. Tell me how much of this rings true to you. America's at a crossroads right now. I think everyone is paying attention knows that our country was built on freedom and free enterprise and people having the liberty to make their dreams come true. There's a push in our country right now to take those liberties away and to attack free enterprise. It's never worked anywhere and it won't work in America. What Zohran Mamdani is doing is dangerous for the country. It's bad for the New Yorkers. It's bad for New York. It's harmful for the country. We can choose free enterprise, which is what America was built on, or we can choose to destroy that, which is what the socialist policies do. According to IRS migration data, Florida gains about $2.4 million in net taxable income every hour. New York loses $1.1 million per hour. We gain $2.4 million in income per hour while New York loses $1.1 million per hour. New York's budget, of course. We've talked about it with Sal Nuzzo. Mark Wilson points it out. Florida's budget is half. The New York state budget is more than double what Florida's budget is. In fact, New York City's municipal budget is more than $8 billion higher than the entire state of Florida. That speaks to A, the absurd spending in New York. and why prices are so high, but it also speaks to how Florida runs its business. I don't think Florida can get leaner in its cost per capita as it relates to governance. I do think that Florida can get smarter in eliminating some agency management and pay their workers better. That's just me, though. Second big story, Anthony Fauci had COVID-MRNA vaccine concerns for pregnant women. He texted about it, but publicly said nothing. Criminal charges. And I reminded listeners last hour, we had guests on this program that were in the military, that noticed the data that... became whistleblowers and were punished. And they've been proven correct. Samuel Sigeloff is now in private practice. He never could go back and practice in the Army. They stripped him of privileges. So that didn't affect his ability to practice medicine privately. So he left the military and his practicing in Arizona. I would love to get him back on the show. He'd have to get up early, but I'd love to get him back on the program. And speaking of Arizona, Chandler, Arizona stopped using Flock cameras. They pulled them. Flock does a lot of good, but Flock is being abused, and I don't like it here either. Unlike a lot of talk show hosts, he's admitted to be wrong. That's when he thought he was wrong, but in fact, wasn't. It's the morning show with Preston Scott.

There is a radical, not so radical idea emerging criminal justice system, namely judges in blue states. We've known for a long time that the justice system in blue state. Martinez, California. Marcos Iriate Valdez was on pretrial release for burglaries committed back in April. He was arrested August 4th for violating home detention monitoring. So. You are on pretrial release for burglaries, meaning you're breaking into buildings, you're breaking into homes, you're breaking into the conveyance, you're on release, but you violate that and are picked back up. What would you do if you were the judge? I made a mistake granting you a release. We're going to hold you in jail. That's what I think a sensible person would do. But no, no. This is California. And though not all judges are the same in California, Nichelle Holmes decided, we're going to go ahead and let this guy, we're going to release him on his own recognizance and back to home detention. Because after all, that worked so well the first time, didn't it?

Listen, 24 hours later, Marcos Iriate Valdez came across a guy building a shed in his yard. 68-year-old Todd was just literally in a building a building project in his own yard. Iriate Valdez gets out of his truck, pulls out a knife, stabs the guy to death. This wasn't 24 years later, not 24 months later. This was 24 hours less than later after he'd been released by the judge. He was also wearing a tactical vest, which implies he was looking for a problem. The neighbors, of course, are very upset. And... And I and others are wondering, including the writer of a column here for Town Hall, Amy Curtis, I wonder how many of those neighbors voted for the Democrats that put these policies in place. The radical idea is maybe judges should be facing sentencing when they're, those that they release, commit crimes. Again. This guy had shown an unwillingness to follow the judge's orders and was arrested for not doing so. Maybe that was the signal. Lock him up. Had the judge done that, this man would be alive and finishing his shed. But he's dead. A family and loved ones and friends are devastated. A neighborhood is scared. And a judge is like, oh, boy, that's unfortunate. No, that's not good enough. And we have to do better. Come back with a manly minute and the story of 1,500 mothballs that comes close to becoming a Florida man's story. validating your feelings or perhaps helping you come to terms with the fact that you have been wrong for so much of your life. So if you've got a middle schooler or high schooler, teach them the art of the man hug.

Man hug is a good hearty hug and a and not the hands are closed. They're fists. And you kind of pop them on the back and good hug that way. If it's your son or your son's hugging you, then it's open hands. It's a more warm embrace between a father and a son or between brothers or you get the idea. But what precedes that is teaching her son the art of a handshake. My son and I played golf with a couple of fellows up in Alabama when we were on our little roadie a couple weeks back. And one of the gentlemen we played with is a big guy, brawny. Good old boy. I mean a good old boy. Not his name was Malcolm, but his name was Michael, but he, Malcolm. Thought Malcolm. He shook hands like a sissy. He was not a sissy. He was a manly man. But he shook hands like a sissy. No, no, no, no. Someone clearly did not teach him how to shake hands. Now, you don't go in to break some guy's hand to show that you're manly. But you go in with a good firm thumb. thumb webbing into thumb webbing and a good grip and a hearty handshake and a look in the eye. That's important. A look in the eye. You look someone in the eye when you're shaking their hand. If they look away, oh boy, be careful. You might be dealing with one of them. That generation that gets wigged out by somebody looking them in the eye. See, that's how I size people up. If they look away when I'm shaking their hand, I know what I'm dealing with. It's an immediate signaling. So the traditional handshake, thumb to thumb, not the bro shake, not the bro shake into the, you know, the kind of the arm wrestling grip, into the fingers, into the, no, no, no, no, no. Handshake. knuckle bump save that for your game of golf but not at the end of the round at the end of the round you shake hands like men there's your manly minute here on the morning show with preston scott couple florida business owners um one guy is he's polish his name is robert chishchan you'd never know that with the spelling of the name C-Z-Y-S-Z-Z-Z-O-N. It's pronounced Chish-Chon. He and another local businessman, they're side-by-side. One owns a bar, one owns a hotel in St. Pete Beach. They decided they didn't like the birds that were going to be nesting, so they threw out 1,500 mothballs. That's a no-no. because mothballs contain pesticides and they're harmful to people if they're handled and children absolutely and they look like something a toy a kid would some little ball a kid would play with and um and they they the birds are protected they're a protected species

And so they thought they were going to harm business. So they decided we're going to get ahead of it. We're going to throw out 1,500. They had 1,000 out. And then they got picked up. So they put 500 out again. Only video caught him. And text messages and receipts. And yeah. So they're facing up to five years in prison and fines up to $5,000. Don't mess with Mother Nature. Just kidding. But don't mess with her. Because she's subservant to God. Don't. Justin Haskins joins me next. Just started my very own public policy organization after doing this at the Heartland Institute for many years, over a decade, started my own organization, and very excited about that and ready to get to work. Well, let's tell everybody a little bit more about it. Kind of give us the focus and what you really are driving on. Yeah, our republic is this idea I've had for an organization for a long time. I wanted to do things differently than the way other think tanks and advocacy groups on the right have been doing things. Rather than talk about the same tired issues over and over and over again, I really wanted an organization that would be focused on what I call emerging issues, issues that are new that most people don't know about. And that's sort of what I've built my career on, you know, coming up with ideas that people haven't heard about before, like ESG and the Great Reset. And the Green New Deal was the very first person to make that a national issue. I mean, these are things that people now all know about. But when I first started writing about and talking about them, nobody had ever heard of them. So I wanted to come up with a thing that was dedicated to that mission, as well as...

things that people do know about, like say the rise of socialism and things like that, but things that I think are of the highest importance. So we're not focusing on stuff that's been already, the ground has been worn out for a long time by other organizations. We're not just copycatting what other groups are doing. We're doing new things, the most important things. That's the focus of the organization. How can people listening support, get involved, and know more? Yeah, we'll go into the website. I'm going to be doing a lot of media, ramping that up, lots of videos and podcasting and sort of the new media are going to be very involved in that. as well as putting out policy papers, meeting with lawmakers, doing all those things to the sort of traditional think tank stuff. So we're going to be doing a little bit of everything. It's a little overwhelming when you first start out, but it's something that I've been doing for over a decade. So I feel really confident about it and excited to get going and to be adding something to the free market pro-liberty movement that I think isn't really there in the way that it should be right now. Our Republic. with a hyphen in between our and republic. Justin Askins with us. Justin, when we were sharing some thoughts about our visit here today, you mentioned something about the strategy that the Republicans likely don't have because they generally don't have any strategy that's cohesive and coherent. But yet the left, the illiberal left, the Democrat socialist Democrat party now. They are the gift that just keeps on giving. They are giving opportunities to the right to somehow hold serve in this election. But you have an interesting set of thoughts on how they need to maybe consider doing it. Yeah. Yeah. So I think that what the Republicans and really the conservative movement right now in general is missing is that they've been over-promising and under-delivering for the entire time that they've been in office. Yep. And I think it started with the Trump administration right from the very beginning of the second term in the campaign. Thanks was going to be the American Golden era. and highlighting that and making that focus. And I understand why he did it. But the reality is this isn't the golden era. And everybody knows that right now. People are still having a lot of the same problems they had under Biden. And a big reason for that. I mean, this election is coming down to the economy. That's what this is all about. That's what the rise of democratic socialism is about for young people. People are angry. They're unhappy. They don't feel like they can build wealth. They feel like they're drowning in debt. The price of a house is way too high. The price of a car is way too high. Everything that you really, really want in life, the prices of those things have not gone down since Trump has become as coming to office. And people are still feeling that pain, and they want radical change. And that's why they put Trump into office in the first place, and they have not seen the results. But the problem is... there actually has been some positive movements in a lot of those areas. We've seen actually wages at times throughout this second Trump term, wages outpace inflation. We're not seeing inflation dramatically increase. You wouldn't know it by reading the news, but inflation in 2026 is actually lower than it was in 2024 in Biden's last year when supposedly the inflation crisis was already over. So there has been some more stability that way.

and there has been uh... some improvements we don't have a crisis at the border millions and millions of people flooding into the border uh... you know there's all sorts of improvements the energy sector domestic energy production has is ramping up uh... and that's going to help our long-term stability we're you know all of these things are great very positive things but the focus The focus needs to be, and it really should have been this all along, that Biden created, the Biden administration and Democrats with their policies created one of the worst economic situations imaginable. We had a horrible inflation crisis. The unaffordability crisis happened because of Democrat left-wing policies. The average price of a home went up over $100,000 in the first two years of Biden being in office. And if you put Democrats back into power, they want even more radical policies than they had during the Biden administration. We're going back to that. Well, this is sort of the situation that Barack Obama was in in 2012 when he was running for re-election. And what he found himself, he was not wildly popular anymore at that point. People were unsure. They weren't really happy with the way things were going with the economy. And what Barack Obama did very effectively was say, look, I need more time. I need the ability for my policies to go into effect. We don't want to go back to the failing policies of the Trump administration of the Bush administration that got us into this mess in the first place. And I inherited the worst economic crisis in history. He wasn't talking about an American golden age. He was saying, look, we've made some improvements. I need more time, but I inherited a mess, and people believed it. And the reality is, I think Barack Obama was a terrible president. I don't think his policies worked at all. I think Trump administration's policies have been much better for the economy. But that should be the message. That should be the focus. I inherited a horrible situation from the Biden administration, and I need more time to fix it. We've seen improvements. Here's what they are. But we need more time. And if you elect Democrats, we're not going to have more time to fix this. Justin Askins with me. We're going to pick up right there and pick it apart a little bit. We know that Republicans don't message. We know they're terrible at it because they should have been messaging when Biden was in office. I've seen numbers, Justin, that show that the inflation under President Trump is below nearly every president since Bill Clinton. And it's just a matter of getting this information out. Going back to your primary argument, which is, okay, we've got a very big ship and a very small rudder, and it's going to take time to turn it. Do you see any sign of Republicans in mass using any kind of cohesive messaging to save the midterm? No. No, I don't. I don't see that. I think, well, that's not entirely true. I would say, well, the focus has now turned toward how radical the left is, how radical the left has become. And it's all true. Yeah. Yeah. 100% true. The Democrat Party is, you know, the socialists within the Democrat Party are becoming increasingly more powerful. They had a little wave that happened back when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez came into office a long time ago. They're now getting another wave of it. And the reason is because of the economics, it works in their favor to tell people, you've been screwed, which is sort of the Trump administration's message. You've been screwed when they were running for office by the establishment. And instead of going the Trump way, what their message is, let's just burn the whole thing down and start all over again with a socialist, communist-type model. That's essentially what the DSA people, the Democratic Socialists of America, that's what they want. And so that is a good message, but the reality is you typically do not win elections, especially when you're the one in power. You typically do not win elections when you focus on how bad the other guy is. You typically win elections by promising something positive. And what are you going to do for me? Because they have a positive vision in their mind. They're going to make everything more affordable. They're going to help people who are struggling. They're going to help the impoverished. They're going to do all these things. They have a positive message. And so far, the Republican message is basically...

they're terrible and they're going to destroy everything and make everything worse. So don't vote for them. And I just don't think that that's a competitor. That will work with some people. But I think you have to have your own positive vision. And the focus needs to be look. The reason we haven't seen, we agree there hasn't been enough improvement. We need more improvement. We need more affordability. We need better jobs. We need all of that stuff. But we inherited one of the worst economics. It's the worst inflation crisis in 40 years. We inherited that. That wasn't our fault. We inherited political instability around the world. That wasn't our fault. Russia had already invaded Ukraine. The Taliban had already taken Afghanistan. These were things that happened because the Biden administration was weak. We had millions of immigrants coming across the border every year that we can't afford to have here in America. That wasn't our fault. fix a lot of these problems. We're trying to solve more problems. The economy is transitioning. It is getting better. You know, and the reason the stock market keeps going up is because investors still believe that things are going to get better. But we need more time. And I think that needs to be the focus. And there is just, there is no focus, as you said. What about a hybrid message, which is? Here's why what the other party is moving to with the Democrat socialism and so forth, why it will not work, why it has not worked. Here's what we think is better. I feel like there has to be a little messaging on the dangers of what they're proposing and what history teaches us. and that we're not more enlightened. They're not the enlightened ones that now know suddenly how to make socialism work. It doesn't work. But here's what we need to do, but we can't do it with obstructionists that are socialists. Yeah, 100%. Yeah. And that is the Obama model in 2012. It was, let's not go back to the things that campaign, one of the campaigns was forward. Let's not go back the way things were under the Bush administration. They're the ones that created that giant economic crash. Remember that? That was the messaging. And so I think the way to say this is, look, having big, powerful stories. government, socialistic programs, that's what got us into this mess in the first place. Government spending, that's the primary cause of the inflation crisis. These lessling policies cause this. We don't want to go back to those things. Do you want to go back to the inflation crisis that we were just getting out of now? No, of course not. But then what's the positive vision? And then that's when you transition to freer markets. and all of the positive things that have been happening. Stability at the border, less crime, all of that stuff. And that strategy, I really think, will work with regular people. But there has to be a cohesive strategy, cohesive messaging. Republicans have to adopt it fully. It can't just be all fear-mongering. And right now that's all we're getting from them. Well, maybe they'll listen to you because the chair of the state party here in Florida hates my guts.

because I think they're stupid and they don't do the right messaging. So I'm persona non-grana. Justin, you're the best, buddy. And we're praying for you. And thanks so much. They are, they are, they're, they're, they just put out a purchase for a bunch of missiles like 13,000 plus. That's fine. You know what I think I'd be doing? I would be, I would be convening a meeting with my defense contractors and video game makers. The dudes that make the video games that have weapons. of different kinds that are like crazy? How many times have we seen real life copy fiction? How many times have we seen real life copy what a video game rolls out in terms of any number of technologies? And it's like, yeah, that was in this video game. How many times have we seen a movie act as a precursor for real life? I robot, robotic warfare right now. All I'm saying is maybe it's time to get a little outside the box and present the defense contractors with a mission. Get us some really nasty weapons that can be deployed cheaply and in massive numbers. And if you sell it to the commies, we'll shoot you. Something like that. I don't know. The free market approach. You sell it to the commies, you're toast. City in Arizona, Chandler, suburb of Phoenix is they've called off use of the flock cameras. They're shutting them down because of employee abuses of the system. Anthony Fauci in his personal texts and notes notes. called out the dangers of the vaccine for pregnant women. Did he say anything publicly? Nope. Why? Maybe because it would damage his profitability. I'm just, I don't know, maybe. All I know is I had at least one guest on my radio program that was punished for speaking the truth about this stuff as it started to happen.

He was noting all the various little markers in reports of injury after vaccine, not just pregnant women, but men and women, the enlisted. We're seeing a massive increase in this, this, this, this, this. And what happened? They sent him to some God-versaken part of Arizona where he literally was in lockdown with his family. They never restored his ability to practice medicine in the Army, so he quit. He left. He's practicing privately. He's a doctor I would trust. Dr. Samuel Sigeloff, I trust him. And Florida has named Mayor Zohran Mamdani on a massive digital billboard in Times Square, the economic developer of the year for the Sunshine State. And that's just brilliant. We'll come back. Good morning, Howard. How in the world are you? doing well and kudos to the florida marketing team a florida chamber of commerce man they crushed it on that one uh we are in the season of kids going back to school exactly i think uh right here i guess it's tomorrow so uh younger kids are going back to school and shopping for them and the college age kids uh The forecast looked like we're going to have a record amount of sales, $43 billion for the elementary through high school, another $103 billion for the college students. And so you look at that $147 billion, and that's a 14.5% increase over just this past year. And pressing that would be the largest amount spent. by more than 8% the previous record back in 2023. So, you know. I'm not the greatest mathematician, but that would seem to indicate that the increase in spending will outpace the rate of inflation in the last year. Oh, I would say by a significant margin, and it speaks to the fact, you know, we're going to make sure that little Johnny and a little Sally are well taken care of. Speaking of margins, earnings this year and the S&P 500 are impressive. They really have been, and this speaks to in all likelihood why the market indexes are bumping up at historic all-time highs, Preston. If you look at the S&P 500 companies, they're on pace to report a 15.7% increase in their net profit margins. And Preston, that would be the highest increase in profit margins in at least 15 years. So we're talking about going back to what, 2010, 2011. And it looks like, at least this is what those in the know are saying, that the launch of CHAT in the 4th quarter of 2022, ever since that occurred, we've had profit margins go up every quarter since. Pretty impressive for the market. And yet, and, you know, again, here we are at near all-time highs. Is there any study or anything being released on the correlation that, I mean, some guesses on what that correlation is between chat GPT and the performance? You know, I...

Other than the fact that the proponents, if you will, of that type of machine technology and using it and employing it in investment strategies and management, you know, at this point, I don't think it's been verifiable. I'd give it a little bit more time, but pretty clear that... technology, not just on Wall Street, but in other businesses, can lower the cost of production and therefore increase profit margins. What about the NASDAQ as compared to the S&P? And, you know, speaking of technology, The NASDAQ is the index where most of the emerging technology companies are. Right. Right. Right. Data Center group. And interestingly, if we look at the NASDAQ 100 index, those are the biggest of those companies. They actually, that index declined this past month by more than 10%. What is happening, though, Preston, and I think this is encouraging. The Standard & Poor's 500 Equal Weighted Index, meaning every company has an equal weighting instead of just the largest companies, you know, moving performance. The equal weighted index, unlike the 10% lost last month, up 1.4. And as a reminder, if we look backwards very quickly, From the end of 1999 through the end of 2001, and that was the collapse of the dot-com boom, bubble burst. NASDAQ, the growth index, fell 57% during the dot-com crash, whereas the equal-weighted index during that same two-year time frame posted a 5.6% gain. And I'll kind of close on this note. So if you're looking for what part of the market is doing the best this year, surprisingly, small cap value. It's the leading performer in our market this year. You know, Anthony Fauci didn't just become responsible for the deaths of perhaps millions around the world that followed the lead of the U.S. and forced vaccine mandates. He hurt people in other ways as well. He heard people like me. He heard Aaron Rogers. You might recall Aaron Rogers caught absolute hell because he didn't want the shot. And so he did his own thing. Last week, he was on the Pat McAfee show and was asked a question and had this to say in response. Now I'm going to plead the fifth. Okay. Okay. I got to love that guy. Like that absolute coward, Tony Fetcher. Absolute coward. Are it's back, baby. Are you kidding me? Yeah, 111 times. You got a pardon and you're in front and you pleaded over a hundred times at the White House. What are you scared of, Tony? I thought you were the science. Yeah, yeah. I thought you were, I am science. And you get up there and he can't answer a question? Yeah. What do we doing? And how much time did the network spend to that? How much time did they spend on my responses every week, on my vaccinations? And he's calling out ESPN. How much time they spend on Anthony Fauci? But how much time they spend on me when I was saying, no, I'm not doing that. And they rip me. Cam Newton has come out now in support of Aaron Rogers saying, oh, by the way, a bunch of players had fake vaccine cards. They had them made. They didn't get vaccinated.

I'm a big Aaron Rogers fan. He's a little different. He's a little eccentric. But guess what? He and his family of reunited. Everything's good. I'm happy for him. He's playing his final year.
