I saw Mike a couple of weeks ago in Bedminster, New Jersey, when President Trump came out, big night, big party, and talked up Mike Lindell and actually said a lot to me in the crowd, but Trump loves Lindel, so do I. He's a great story. He was on this show quite a bit years ago when his book came out, and much like myself, he's had very public battles with drugs and alcohol, and he's come all the way home. And today is a primary in Minnesota. I just hung up with Byron Donalds's, his primary in the state of Florida. He's running for governor a week from today. Mike Lindell's primary in Minnesota is actually today. So with that said, here he is, my friend Mike Lindell. Mike, good Tuesday morning, buddy. How are you? I'm doing great, Sid. What a day. But it's finally here. Yeah, I know. It's got to feel like forever all these days leading up to this. Have you voted for yourself yet? I'm doing that this morning. Believe me, the media is asking me every day. Where are you going to vote? Where are you going to vote? I'm a same-day voter. You know that. I'm a same day. Right, right. And I wish it was always like that, Mike Lindell. We've had a lot. We've had a lot less problems if that was the case. So I believe Donald, for example, down in Florida, he doesn't care. He's a big butt. He's got 12 people running against him on that Republican primary a week bump today. I believe you've got three. Is that right? Well, I got two main ones, and it's kind of interesting. The one got the, I've got the president's endorsement, the one got the Minnesota GOP endorsement, and then the other ones, their establishment candidate that was Speaker of our House. So it's a three-way race. I've been ahead in the polling for over a year now, but as you know, anything going to happen on Election Day. So is it fair to say then, as you just said, you've been ahead in the polling for about a year now? President Trump's endorsement, and I saw it live a couple of weeks ago in New Jersey's really, really excited for you. Is it fair to say that you're very confident today? Yeah, I'm confident. You know, they've done a lot of work. We've got a lot of, I've got a great lieutenant governor candidate. We put out our budget a week ago. So, you know, it's been a battle since the president endorsed me. They've attacked me. Our own party has attacked me relentlessly for three weeks. And the Minneapolis Star and Tribune here in Minnesota, one of the worst papers in the country. They, uh. There's nothing even close now, and I believe me, I know this from experience. I don't know. I think the New York Times, I think the New York Times may give it a run for its money, Mike, but you're right. They've got me a campaign violation. Mike brought little pillows to the kids in a Delano parade. Mike Vindale doesn't live in Minnesota. He doesn't. He's not registered. He doesn't have a driver's light. I mean, they've come at me with everything, and I've had.
You know, show it probably, it's been a big distraction. But as you know, like the president, the more, you know, as getting attacked actually gives publicity. I was able to get my word out that I, they started out. You wouldn't even know I was running for governor here with the Stern Tribune. And now by their attacks, everybody knows I'm running and actually helps the polls go up. people are on to this nonsense of the media attacking every other day. I hope so. I mean, I do love that state. You know, of course, my first cousin, who I'm very, very close with. In fact, I'm going to Las Vegas with him in a couple of weeks for the RJC, Norm Coleman. He was the mayor of St. Paul for eight years. He won that Senate seat beating Wellstone when he passed away and Mondale. Also went against Jesse for governor and had on Al Franken and a very, very long history of running for office in the state of Minnesota. But that state, your state, Mike, has gone completely bonkers with this maniac walls as the governor, this horrible Jacob Frey as the mayor of Minneapolis. There's a lot of bad states. I live in a bad state in New York, a very bad state. But your state may be the very worst. Yeah, no, it really is, you know, it's when I said at the White House that time, we've, you know, a nation turned us back on God. We took God out of the schools and we need to pray for grace. And I gave that speech. I could have just been talking about Minnesota. We have a, we have a governor here that put a satanic statue in the Capitol. We have, you know, tampons and men's bathrooms. We just came out with a. A paper doll that kids were going to play with, the four to 10 year olds that you changed the genitals on. This was two weeks ago. This is the most crazy stuff. Then you have all the fraud with the Somalian fraud. We've got a big problem that we've got to ban Sharia law here. We've got so many things going on. But I looked at him and said, you know me, I'm always an optimist. I look at it. This is an opportunity and a blessing. Because it's woke people up in Minnesota. They're waking up to the fact that this is crazy. We've got to do something now. The most critical election in Minnesota's history. And it's got to change. A hundred thousand people have left Minnesota under Governor Waltz's watch. And then, of course, then they bring in Amy Klobuchar, who's just a mere image of him. And it's just disgusting what's going on here. We're confident can change, you know, with God, all things are possible. And I really believe that there's the Minnesota being in the nation's eye, the tip of the spear for all this craziness. And I really believe that it's only maybe 5% of the people. I really believe that. that are following all this stuff and this craziness because they have the media. You know, they have our Minneapolis Star and Tribune. They have all our ABC, NBC, CBS locally. They've all joined in the attack of me. They do not want me winning and to change everything. And then they say, well, Mike, how could you give me anything done with the, you know, the Democrats, Republicans, you know, they're, and I said, well, you know what? You bring common sense solutions like the president did.
And people in Minnesota, I got a big mouth when I'm in there and we're getting, and we're getting blocked. Everybody's going to know about it. Everybody's going to know. Mike Lindell, my pillow, running for governor. Love this guy. Corporate Tarkington. Everybody loves Frank Tarkington still in Minnesota, the great quarterback. Actually got traded to the Giants, but he's on our side. I know that. One issue that you did not mention with all the issues you talked about in Minnesota, ICE, you know, that was a place where good... and pretty, you know, though neither one of them deserved to die, but neither one of them was innocent. They weren't dragged out of their homes and shot in the street. They were doing exactly what you shouldn't do because you could end up getting killed, but you guys kind of became the face of the revolt against ICE. That's another Minnesota issue. Yeah, that's a huge thing. And now we just had an ICE facility that's coming to Minnesota now. That was announced last week. When I come in as governor, One of the first things I will do is cooperate with the federal government. And that's, you know, that was the big problem. Other states have cooperated. They come and get the ones that are at least in the prison. In Minnesota, we have 1,400 illegals in our prisons here that have committed these horrible felonies. And we're paying $159 million a year to house them. Jeez. So you ship them out on day one. And then the other thing I'm going to do is these employers that are employing these illegals up here. I'm going to make it a criminal offense where they go to jail. They go to jail. The owners were taking away their business license. We're going to put the managers, put them all in prison because they're hiring these illegals. They're flooding into Minnesota. I believe that will stop that. And then you have the protests. I'm all for protesting, but you better not do it illegally. Minneapolis has the... strictest protest laws in the United States, but they're never followed. It's like, go break a law, go block off Highway 35W. They did that eight years ago. I mean, listen, remember, mind you, Mike, the insurrection, there was no insurrection on January 6th. Just look up the definition, you're morons. You know where there was an insurrection? Minneapolis, they burned down a police station. Yeah, absolutely. It was horrific what's happened here, and it's all comes down to... No law enforcement enforcing these protests law. You can't break laws protesting. I mean, after the, after the ice, when ICE pulled out of Minneapolis, we had protesters downtown for over a month that would stop my friends from getting to their neighborhoods, checking their IDs in the middle of the street to see if they were ice. I mean, it was, it was ridiculous. They're breaking car windows, all these protesters. It was, you know, that needs to stop immediately. And I thought when I was governor, I'd have to change all the laws. But no, Minneapolis already has these strict laws in place. But I guess they're just there for show, but not anymore when I'm in. You know, I don't compare war stories. I don't do that type of stuff. I guess I did early on when I got sober years and years ago down in Florida. But if we did do that, like you're a badass addict, Mike. I got to be honest with you. You were homeless. You were smoking crack. I mean, you weren't the guy who maybe had one too many beers on a Friday night. Like you were, it was bad for you. And I read your book and I've had you on the show. And we've been friends now for a long time. But I got to tell you, what an unbelievable story. And I know you know this, Mike Lindell, whether you win today or lose. And we all hope you win, of course, that none of this would be possible.
without your sobriety, and of course, Jesus Christ. That's fair to say, right? Oh, absolutely. You know, on January 16, 2009, I actually quit everything overnight. I had one prayer to God. I'd want to never have the desire again and woke up in the morning and the desire was gone and I never looked back. And I actually on February 18, 2017 is when I completely gave my life to Jesus Christ. And one of my biggest fear was public speaking. Can you imagine? Wow. Wow. Yeah. Got over that that day. Oh, you're great at it. You're great at it. Yeah, yeah. And they, yeah, I always had a thing like I felt like I was in an elevator with people. And that was fear of rejection. And you don't get, you don't get rejected if you don't talk. And you know this, all my addictions, like being a crack addict of the streets of Minneapolis, when I came out of addiction in 2009, I spent the next 12 years before all this political stuff. We're taking millions of dollars in helping addicts get, find Jesus. I had a Lindell Recovery Network. I helped Teen Challenge, Salvation Army. We were there with the streets, helping the homeless and the people in addiction, find a better way and find, get down to the root of the problem. And these are some of the things that I've had going on for over a decade now that I'll be bringing back to Minnesota with the private sector. helping these people get to the root of the problem rather than just always enabling them and just keep, you know, we had a hospital in Minneapolis. We just had to bail out because we're Minnesota nice. We're always going to help people, but why not help them and get to the root of the problem and get them to a better life and then they're supporting themselves? You are a super guy, Mike. You really are. You've got the Mike Lindell TV now, too, doing some important conservative work across the country, too. But your sobriety story and how you bound God is all really great. And that's all going to help you today when you, in fact, win that primary. And I'm looking forward to you up against Amy come November. And when you get your chance to be the next governor of the state of Minnesota, we're all proud of you, Mike. We all love you. So good luck today. We'll talk again very soon. Thank you so much.
