352 segmentsYou're listening to The Young Turks, the online news show. Make sure to follow and rate our show with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five stars. You're awesome. Thank you. There are some problems here, sorry, big time. I'm so upset! Bossam Yusuf on as a guest host today. Bossam, great to see you brother. How you doing? Hi, Chang. How are you? This is Bassem Yusuf, co-hosting today with Shane. There we go. I'm good, brother. I'm good. All right, so a lot to get to. We do have a lot of news on the Iran war front. One is really positive piece of news. The other two are very negative pieces of news. We're going to give all three to you guys. We've got a lot of discussion about Abdul El-Sayed and the mainstream media, the establishment Democrats and the right wing, all converging to attack him. We will defend them. And then there's discussions about Hasan Piker, the never-ending discussions about that. We'll tackle that in the second hour. Plus flock cameras. A lot of Americans are saying flock off. So will we... see the end of those. So that's an interesting conversation as well. So a lot to get to. Let's get started with this first story. So in a move that is going to make peace a lot harder, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government has rejected Donald Trump's peace offer to Hamas. And Hamas had already accepted it. But Israel says no to peace. Now I'm gonna break down what Trump said, what Benjamin Netanyahu said, which is back, which is basically an open-handed slap. But Bassem, real quick upfront, I know you must be shocked that Israel has rejected peace. Of course, I'm shocked. I mean, I don't know why would you even like give any kind of importance to these kind of statements or these kind of events. Like, oh, Trump is offering peace and then it just, I think it's all, it's a game. It's a game. Nobody really believes that anymore. I think they're, they're just buying time in order to strike again and to hit again. They did that in Iran many times. They go into a peace process and then they would bomb them. They would bomb Qatar, who are like the intermediates. Israel doesn't want peace. And today, actually, it's mentioned today, I guess, in Jerusalem posts, I think they have headlines where like, it doesn't matter that we have peace with our neighbors. They are just secretly planning to have war with us. And they're talking about Turkey, Jim Jordan and Egypt. So these people like, it's, I'm just like, I don't know, it's theatrics. And I don't know why we even like waste time on them.
Yeah, well, that's actually a really interesting point that I want to discuss a little bit more in a second. Let me tell everybody what Trump said, because I thought that there was a 1% chance that it was encouraging. We'll see if that 1% was justified or not. And then what Benjamin Netanyahu said in return. So Trump said today the Board of Peace reached a historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. The other arm group is actually very relevant. We'll come back to that too. There's a monumental step toward lasting peace and security. He said the agreement will be carried out in carefully structured phases, which actually makes sense. As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the international stabilization force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors. This is actually a logical plan. That's why both sides, America and Hamas has agreed to this, the one, of course. stumbling block is always Israel because they never want peace. But here, Hamas is saying, look, let's do it in parts. We disarm, they withdraw, we disarm, they withdraw, we hand it over to an international force. Makes perfect sense. Well, here comes, you know, the Israelis to screw that up. NPR first says it's envisioned Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and Hamas' disarmament as part of... a phase process rather than requiring Hamas to fully disarm before Israeli forces began pulling back. And that makes sense. Part of the reason is the reason Trump mentioned those other armed groups is there's armed militias working on behalf of Israel inside Gaza. So if Hamas gives up all of their weapons first, as Israel wants, gets no concessions back, and not even disarming the Israeli-backed militias, then they'll be the mercy of those militias. So that is a totally undoable ask. And they would never agree to it. It would basically be a death sentence for them. And then Israel will get to run Gaza completely and having done absolutely nothing in return. So that's unreasonable. That's why Benjamin Netanyahu doubled down on it. First, watch him speaking in Hebrew that whenever he wants to hide something. It's got the subtitles and then for our audio audience, I'll read it as well. Asher to a Gaza, first I want to hear the thing the very important, I'm, I, and I, the House of the President, not to come a country Palestinian, not in Gaza and not in Ush, not Fattahstan, and in Afghanistan, and not Hamasthan, and in-sher things specific, who are up in the I've said if you're not, I'm not, but I'm not, but I'm saying, I'm saying, Israel shone the number 15. The U.S.N. will not have made a nesigua, all of the shagued, until the Khamas from hischkow. And when I'm saying the PIRUKAMASMMMMMNESKKK-ZKKK-E, and the
That's basically saying to Trump, that's an open-handed slap, boy. What are you going to do about there? Are you going to sit there and bleed all day or are going to do something? Yeah, Bossa. I disagree. I don't think it's an open slap. I think they want you to believe that they are in this agreement. They want you to believe, oh, Trump said this and Nathaniel said, no. It's like, oh, my God, look, this. I mean, are we playing this game again? Are we playing this game again? Do you remember my guys like Joe Biden and everything? Oh, we're going to withhold arms for Israel. We're going to not send any more weapons like, oh, Joe Biden is anti-Semitic. Remember that? Yeah. And then Joe Biden will send the weapons and the things. And then they even called Trump, if you remember many times during this couple of years, anti-Semitic and you hate the Jews. And then Trump will say bad, like, will be tough on Benjamin Netanyahu. It's all an act. It's all an act. And at the end of the day, this is just like, it's been happening even before 1948. And I remember quite well when I studied this. It's like how in the beginning at 1948 when the Arabs came in and they kind of like gained ground and then they oh, okay, let's have truce. And then they use the truth in order to get more weapons in order and then to kill the Arabs and Palestinians. So I just like, it's not an open hand slap. It's not an insult to Trump. It's not like Israel disrespecting Trump. It's all an act. And I just like don't buy it for one second. So I'm so I hear you on the general point and it's a point we make all the time and then Axios comes in and they did in this case too and oh, there was a lot of finger wagging and strongly worded letters and phone calls. You're totally right about that. But in this one, there's a little bit more nuance. So let me read what Benjamin Netanyahu said in English and why I say it's an open handed slap. So he said as long as I'm prime minister or Palestinian state will not be established. So that's very definitive, of course, never covered by the American press. Neither in Gaza nor in Judea and Samaria, that's the West Bank. So he's saying, no, we're going to give the Palestinians absolutely nothing and try to enslave them for the rest of time. He said neither Fatistan or Hamasthan. Hamas is obviously in Gaza. Fatah is in the West Bank. So he's saying. Even though the de Fatah did not attack us, we're never going to give them freedom anyway. He says regarding specific matters surfacing in the news lately, I wish to be precise here. Israel does not accept the 15 point document. The IDF will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is disarmed. And when I see the disarming of Hamas, it means heavy weaponry, light weaponry, and all weaponry. And we're talking about genuine disarmament, not fictitious disarmament. So he's basically saying until we remove every rock and stick in Gaza, Israel's not gonna withdraw because he said before very clearly, under no circumstances are they gonna withdraw. They have 70% of Gaza and they're gonna try to keep it. They're gonna try to drive out all the Palestinians from the West Bank and try to keep it. But Bassem, normally the way that they do this as well, we love Donald Trump and it's great honor to work with him and he's such a big brother to us.
And his peace proposals are lovely and fantastic. You know, we're waiting for the disarmament of Hamas and et cetera. The him saying, no, I reject his 15 point plan is a way of saying publicly, no, I'm against what Donald Trump is doing. Now, you could say. that it's part of a coordinated, you know, back and forth, and it has been in the past. But why would Donald Trump agreed to being slapped publicly and saying, no, I'm not going to do your dumb peace plan? Shut up, little boy. Because that's what Benjamin Netanyahu is saying, and he's saying it publicly. So is Trump like, I guess and it's a fair point if you say he's signed up for this humiliation ritual and likes it when Benjamin Netanyahu slaps him around publicly. But that is definitely not hiding the ball. It's saying we're not going to listen to America. But like you're saying as if we didn't see this humiliation before. They humiliated him many times on Iran when he didn't want to strike. And then they would humiliate him until he would strike. Like is this the first time that Benjamin Netanyahu humiliated Trump? or humiliated America or humiliated the American administration. Again, it is a deja vu. This all like back and forth and then they give you the ideas like, oh, they're not in disagreement. You see, everybody who said like Trump is controlled by Benjamin Netanyahu, see how Trump did this on his own. And then he's just like, he's done. And then he folds. It is a game. It is a way to just like buy time. Trump proposes a peace deal. Then Benjamin Netanyahu says no. And then in the meantime, Israel just like bomb Gaza with everything they got. Continue killing people every single day. Same thing on Lebanon. How many times did Trump say like, enough, go back. Enough hitting Lebanon. And then then then then then yeah will go hit it. I get it's not an open slap. It's not. And I think that we're just like reading too much into it. And I think they are just giving us this. for us to have these like discussions, oh, do you think Trump is being humiliated by Nathanielho? He doesn't care. He doesn't care. This is all a game. Now, let me back up Bossum's point, because as I mentioned earlier, usually Axios comes in and does a little bit of propaganda here, but sometimes it's accidentally revealing. So Barack Ravid wrote, A senior U.S. official told me the White House is, quote, not bothered by Benjamin Netanyahu's statement on the Gaza plan and sees it as part of the election season in Israel. Well, that seems to back up what Bossam saying. He said, quote, we understand BB's political needs. We have no problem with it as long as he continues to do what we ask, especially regarding restraining attacks in Gaza, the U.S. official said, except. He hasn't done any of the things that you've asked. But that's interesting that the U.S. government is saying, yeah, we don't mind the humiliation ritual. He tells us off publicly, and then we beg for forgiveness, and we go back to licking his boots. Then they have this piece of absurdity. Last week, Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with President Trump's envoy, Jared Kushner, and promised to give the 15-point plan a chance. Come on. Despite his skepticism and curb.
Excuse me, and curb attacks on Gaza so the process of demilitarization of Gaza can begin, a U.S. officials said, since then Israel hasn't conducted attacks on Gaza and the IDF is gradually moving back to the yellow line. That's not true at all. At the same time, the U.S. and the mediators are demanding that Hamas begins disarming. So the first half backs you up, Bassem. This is all a play and Trump doesn't mind being slapped around. He's kind of, I don't know if he's into it politically or also sexually. I don't know, okay, but that's, I don't care. But, but the second half says. Who's Barak Ravid anyway? Brock Ravid is a former IDF intelligence agent. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. So we're taking our sources. We're taking ourselves from there. They are making the news. They're telling us what the news should be are. They should us what do we think about the news. It's a closed system. Like we're quoting Axis, which is basically an Israeli sciop in itself. So we're listening to Trump, we're saying to anything. We're taking, we're taking, what does that mean through their sources? Yeah, like we were really falling into the trap. I don't know. No, no, we're not falling into any trap. It's a good conversation. One last quote. No, no, I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about like the public, you know. Yeah, no, I'm with you. Yeah. Well, they're not falling into the trap either anymore, mainstream media is. But all right. And last ones from Benjamin Netanyahu's office, they say right now we're talking with the Americans about this issue. They have ideas, some of which are acceptable to us, and some of which are unacceptable. And we know how to stand firm against these things. We have proven this in the past, and we're proving it today as well. Furthermore, the idea will continue to thwart threats against our forces and our citizens. So basically saying, the Americans have some ideas that are unacceptable, so we rejected them.
What is this? So okay, you don't agree with us and you're not going to do anything we want including the peace deal. So isn't there the super simple solution? We cut off all your funding until you find a way to accept it. Oh my, I didn't know that you're very good extent of comedy. That is we, we how dare we cut the aid to our masters? Oh, come on. It's a freaking swamp man. I say this on stages. So like I didn't believe that like, you know, so many people left the Middle East to come to America, live the American dream just to find out that they're still controlled by country in the Middle East. It's crazy, man. I mean, I just did a video a couple of days ago. It's like I make it make sense. We are supposedly the superpower of the world and every single candidate go on stage so like I stand with Israel. I support Israel. Well, go and run for office in Israel. Yeah, it's it's a broken system and I don't know like I don't know what to make of this. I don't even know if we should even take any of these news seriously or even discuss them seriously because it doesn't make any sense anymore. It doesn't matter anymore. So then I got to ask you about what you think's actually going to happen in the future in America, right? First of all, of course you're right. I mean, imagine if there was any candidate, let alone hundreds of candidates who were like obsessed with Turkey. And they're like, we gotta make Turkey the best country, the regional superpower. And Turkey comes to me in my dreams. You'd be like, what? Are you insane? Why does turkey come to your dreams? What a bizarre thing, right? And they happen to be coincidentally. totally financed to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars by the Turkish lobby. And the media is like, I can't connect the dots, right? So that's what's happening here. So we know, to your overall point, and one I agree with enthusiastically, we know that our politicians are corrupt and they work for Israel. 94% of them get money from Israel. They vote with Israel. And our media is corrupt and they do all these silly games out hiring. former IDF agents to write all their stories about Israel and how we have a special ally in relationship and we need to be good boys and girls and listen to everything Israel says and shut up about it and give them all of our money in our military. But the American people have turned now and about two thirds of them are against it. So since Washington is not going to budge at all and now they're trying to merge our military technology. get even deeper into a relationship with Israel. And the American people can't stand it anymore and have realized, oh, the reason we never have peace, the reason we have endless wars in the Middle East is because Israel's making us do those wars. Those are all their neighbors that we're attacking on their behalf so they can take more of their land. So how does this movie end, Basso?
Well, the movie ends in a very disturbing reality where everything that America has been making fun about the third world countries where people are living under oppression. And they know that they're living under oppression and a living law under dictatorship, but they can't do anything about it because anybody who will talk will be either put in jail or have his career end. And we see kind of a glimpse of that reality in America right now. Because now anybody, we have many incidents where you have, if people criticize Israel, people criticize Zionism, critical exercise, they actually have their career ending. And now if you go a little bit further and you start to protest, you're going to get beat. up being thrown out of college. So if you continue that trajectory, you will have a full-blown dystopian reality where people are afraid to speak. And if they do, they're going to be penalized. And the media will tell you everything we're okay. We are the number one frequency in the world. We have freedom. And that will be the reality. We're heading to that. So people will be living knowing exactly who are their overlords is. overalls are and then not going to be too scared to speak about it exactly like what happens in a military dictatorship or a or a religious dictatorship where everybody knows that it's not really a freedom but we can't say anything about it so i think we're heading towards that i don't know how many years are going to take yeah it's scary to to see this but it's happening right now you have you have Marco Rubio The Secretary of State telling, we are going to revoke anyone's visas coming to this country if they are critical of Israel. We were seeing that already. And so yeah, I think this is the dystopian reality we're heading to. Yeah, so it's hard to argue with that. I mean, obviously, Hasan Piker and I got banned from the United Kingdom for criticizing Israel. So our freedom of movement has been taken away from us. A portion of our freedom has. Hassan got banned from speaking at University of Washington just yesterday. We'll talk about that later in the show. I'm banned from all of cable news. So the oppression is, is. You know what happened to me in the UK and Europe in my tour? What happened? So they didn't ban me, but they tried to ban me. Designers organization, they tried to revoke the visa that I already got. And every single entry point in the UK or Schengen visa in Europe, I spent over an hour. And sometimes I would take into secondary inspection, like a freaking terrorist and had an American passport. Yeah. Can you imagine that? Yeah, now an American passport doesn't mean anything. Either you're an Israeli or you're not. The Israelis get special privileges for everything. But you got an American passport in the West Banker Gaza Strip. Israel will murder you in a second. And 10 Americans murdered in the last three years and no one's even been arrested because they're spitting in our face. So look, I have a little bit more, I'm by nature a little bit more optimistic than Bossa. I think America is a little bit different.
And I think that people here are going to rebel. They're going to rebel against the system. And I hope it's a political rebellion. But either way, there's a rebellion coming because Americans are going to sit there and be the dogs of another nation. And unfortunately, that has happened right underneath our news for a long, long time. And as people are waking up to it, they are becoming furious about it, no matter how much mainstream media and our politicians lie. All right, we're gonna take quick break here. When we come back, one piece of good news about the Iran war, another piece of devastating news about the Iran war. And I'm very curious about Boston's reaction to that. And we'll talk about the attacks against Abdul El-Sayed as well. We'll go right back. All right, so I'm going to read these blind. Let's go to YouTube members during the break here. Kevin Shea says, Little Birdie told me we're running low on interceptors, L.O.L. Yes, that's why we're not going full bore at this point. But Israel keeps saying, shut up, who cares? We don't care if your troops die. Go back into the war. Okay. So that's the next story. Disrupt Daily says, just finish watching Jenka on peers. They straight up, ganged up on him with lies in propaganda. Shake my head. Hey. I like some of those guys. It's okay. It was three against four against one today, but that's called Tuesday for me. No problem. RB net engineer, which I now know is not robot engineer, says, I wonder how many Americans actually know that billions in military aid we give to Israel, is actually going to US defense contractors to build the weapons. Yeah, no, we give it to Israel. Israel gives defense contractors. They take the money. So it comes out of our pocket. But yes, both the Israeli lobby and the defense contractor lobby love that corruption. They live off that corruption. And they both push aggressively for that. money to be wasted given to a fascist government. C or J likely C writes in, it's not a Monday unless Trump says to the market bros were close to peace, totally right. Wang Jun says, and once again, pro-war Senator Lizzie Graham was unavailable for comment. Way to stay professional, Lindsay. That's funny. Pete says, I'm sure Lindsay doesn't think it's funny, but anyways, Pete says the flock America, theater goddess says, considering Israel considers pebbles thrown by children and weapons of mass destruction. Benjamin Netanyahu is saying all weapons must mean, means nothing will ever be good enough. Of course, that's the whole point. So Israel's never going to leave Gaza unless they're made to. We'll be back.
Back on the Young Church, Jane Hugar and Bossam Musif with you guys. Another really important story here. So Donald Trump claims he's looking for a way out of the Iran war. I'm curious what Bossam thinks about that and if this, he thinks that one is genuine or not. But he's apparently gotten desperate enough that he's taking nukes off the table, which is a bit shocking. So let me read that to you, Bossam, and then get your reaction. According to the Wall Street Journal, for weeks, President Trump had been laying the groundwork to declare victory in the Iran war, should Tehran fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz, even floating the idea privately to senior aides that he's willing to walk away without a nuclear deal, officials, U.S. officials said. On the nuclear concerns, Trump has told senior aides privately in recent weeks that Tehran is likely unable to revive its nuclear work during his presidency after the U.S. destroyed three primary nuclear sites last year. The officials added. And then over the weekend, he seemed to also tone it down more on the aggressive threats against Iran. He said, we are low-keying it. We are only semi-negotiating with them. I don't know what that means. And of course, it doesn't mean anything because we're not negotiating with them at all. We're just watching Iran with his huge inflation and the fact that they have no money, he said. Okay, so, boss, a couple of angles here. Number one, it looks like Trump has realized we have no chance of winning this war, right? So he claimed that this was to make sure that they don't have any kind of nuclear weapons program. And now he's saying, Don't worry about it. Who cares about their nuclear weapons program? Does that show some sign of desperation or do you think that this is all still a trick and no, he's about to put in ground troops and he's lying about all that? I don't know, man. We've been, we've been through this now for the past. I don't know how many. Like Trump say like a horrible statement like, we're going to end civilization. And then the market, the market goes down. And then there is some insider trading. And then he said, OK, we're good now. And then there is the market goes up. And then there's insider trading. I don't know. I don't know if we should take Trump seriously about anything he takes because. I don't trust him. I don't believe him. I don't know what he says next week. He's been making us guess what will be his next move. And we never guess it because he's just like he's going to flip flops. He changes. I don't know if he's in this war for his personal gain. So him and Jared Kushner can just like. buy and sell shares on the stock market that goes up and down now he's is offering here like early access to his tooth media socials uh for a hundred thousand dollars in order to get an insider information so i don't know man i i really don't know i don't know if he's going to say this and then by tonight he's going to bomb iran with everything he's got so i really don't know you have a president
That is unpredictable, that he has been using this confusion in the world about the war in order for his own personal gains. So I don't know, what do you think? Do you even, do you even like take, like take anything that he says seriously anymore? Yeah, my sense of it, Bassem is nuanced and complicated. Because so if he's saying to the Wall Street Journal publicly, in essence, through the leaks, right, that. Hey, maybe we take nukes off the table. He said that was the reason we're going in. That's a giant concession. That's Trump, so whether it's to the markets or anyone else, basically the Trump team saying, we gotta get out of there. And we're gonna even take our number one objective off the table. Just get back to the status quo before the war where the straight of Hormuz is open. And let's get the hell out of there, right? So you don't say that unless. Either it's a giant trick and you're about the bomb again, which is entirely possible, or you really are worried about getting the hell out of there. And in fact, now Alexander Ward from the Walser Journal reporting, a White House official insisted that the U.S. completed all of its military objectives against Iran. Now, that's absurd. That's not true at all. But I'll take it if they declared that and then said, okay, we've got to deal with Iran. And we're not ending their nuclear program. I don't care, they never had a nuclear weapons program. But then a second problem comes up though, just as Trump is conceding on these, Iran puts out a whole new set of demands and they want to a permanently end the war, be lift the naval blockade, see withdraw all forces and then cease any military action against Iranian proxies, fully compensate Iran for war damages, lift all sanctions and release all Iranian frozen funds. Now if that's true, that's gonna make it much harder to get to a deal. Number one, Israel's never gonna withdraw from Lebanon or Gaza, so that there goes that. We'd have to cut them out of a deal. Of course, we should cut them out of the deal. We'll never get a deal with those warmongers. You know, if we need permission from them, that's impossible, right? But he's saying, they're saying, hey, compensate us for all the places you bomb. America is very unlikely to do that. Leave the region entirely. That'd be great for America, but we're less likely to do that. So now it looks like Iran doesn't necessarily want to end the war. How devastating is that? Well, I mean, maybe Trump doesn't want this trade of Burmuse open. Maybe this is all by design in order to destroy the Middle East and make Iran and Saudi Arabia and the other Arab countries just fighting there. I mean, look at the north stream that was destroyed between Russia and Europe. That led to America supplying Europe. With five times the oil, it's five times more expensive than the cheap Russian oil and gas. Remember that? And now maybe they don't care. Maybe they just want to have this bit of the war just like destroy each other. And then America will be the supplier of oil to the world. I don't know. I think all of these.
tricks that Trump is playing, maybe he's just like doing it with a different logic than ours. Maybe he doesn't care about the war ends or not. Maybe he doesn't care about the street of Ramos open or not. Because for him, you know, oil, like he can be the supplier of the oil instead of Saudi Arabia. Maybe he doesn't really care about Saudi Arabia. We don't care about you. Maybe him and Israel just want them to just like, like, you know, destroy each other. Like them and Iran, like the same way that Russia and Ukraine is doing. So maybe this is much more evil than we think. And I know that this is not politically sane or anything, but like, you know, we've seen the signs on the wall, right? Yeah. No, I actually think that. Your theory is a very good one, but I think that it's mainly about Israel. And so I'll get to my nuanced theory in a second about Trump. But when it comes to Israel, yeah, they want us to use their new Leviathan field, which is, and they've said it. They're like, oh, and they, to your point, it's not just that they want Iran's oil and gas facilities to be destroyed. Israel's very happy if the Gulf countries, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, etc. Their fields are also destroyed because Benjamin Netanyahu has said now you'll have to use Leviathan. Plus there's a gas field off of Lebanese waters that Israel is now laying claim to because they are saying southern Lebanon is now part of Israel. We've already annexed it basically. And they're looking forward to a pipeline that goes through Israel and would circumvent the Strait of Hormuz. So Israel has plenty of reasons. to not only try to get us to destroy Iran, but to destroy our allies in the Gulf at the same time. So this war is perfect for them. That's why they don't want peace at all. They're like destroy everyone in the Middle East but us and spend all of your defensive missiles on us. But for our purposes, no, we're beginning to have issues with our petroleum oil reserve. We have issues with our economy and with inflation. So in fact, US emergency oil reserve is now below 300 million barrels for the first time since 1983. Before the US and Israel launched their attacks on Iran on February 28th, the reserve held approximately 415 million barrels. So we're way down now. And so my theory, Bassem, is that Israel 100% wants this, pushed us into this. And that, yeah, sure, they, you know, the Ailsons alone gave over $300 million to Donald Trump, and that certainly affected him in many of his decisions. And they surround himself with a bunch of, surround Trump with a bunch of warmongers, both in the White House that serve Israel like Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth and John Ratcliffe in the intelligence, et cetera. All Israel first. Turns on television, all Israel first. We can go to a clip on that in it if we want to. But you guys all know it. They're all pushing for war, right? They've surrounded them in a bubble of, oh, you'll be amazing if you could declare war. But I think that all of that is still not enough to punch yourself in the face this hard and wind up at a 32% approval rating, even portions of MAGA hating you. He's lost all independence, all young people. He's now losing people without a college education that was his strongest demographic. He's losing white people. He's losing males.
everything. So I don't think Trump is doing that on purpose. I think they have blackmail over him. And every I think every time he goes, come on guys, this is too unreasonable. We're gonna destroy America completely. We're gonna destroy our economy. We don't even have defensive missiles left. We're gonna lose our ships. You gotta let me out of this headlock. And Benjamin Netanyahu goes, shut up, servant boy. You want us to release the tapes? And he goes right back to doing whatever they demand. What do you think of that? But other than the blackmail, I mean, America has a history of screwing up its allies. I mean, wasn't it Henry Kissinger that said to be, it would be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is deadly or fatal. And I think he said that in a call with Buckley. It's about like how America kind of gave up on its allies in Vietnam. And I think America doesn't really care about its allies, whether it's the Middle East or otherwise. And I think the whole idea about them being, like, they, they, I think that Trump has no problem. Forget about Israel, forget about them being servants for Israelis and blackmail. But I think America just goes out after its own interest, and they don't really care about any of its allies. And actually, I think they get screwed over. over and over many times we've seen america screwing europe many times and why would they do that to their allies in the middle east Yeah, so, Boston, that has a huge asterisk, right? So the idea that America would care about its Arab allies is hilarious. Of course, they don't care. But they don't care about the European allies. Trump is constantly attacking Canada and Greenland and Mexico. But there is one ally that is above the law and above everything, right? How dare you call them an ally? They are our masters. I mean, look guys, if you think what Bassem is saying is over the top or crazy, okay, why do we only listen to one so called ally? We betray every other ally with no compunction at all, but when it comes to Israel, we do every single thing we're ordered, even at great cost to our country. That's mental. And here, last thing here, Bassem, let me show the audience in your clip. of what is going on in television. Because if you're watching online news, you might not realize how crazed cable news is and how they're constantly saying war, war for Israel, of course. And they all bow. So watch this. The demands that they made yesterday, none of which we're going to adhere to, to leave the region, to pay reparations for the war, none of this stuff is going to happen. The Israelis want to defeat the regime. They want to defeat the enemy because they know that's the only way. We've chosen not to hit key targets that would likely cripple, not just the Iranian economy generally, but create a dire circumstance for the regime itself.
That includes most notably, Karg Island, as I've been talking about, 85 to 90% of all of Iran's oil transport through Karg Island. It is a wide open target. President Trump has all the options in his hands. He can take big military action anytime he wants to to shut these guys down. He can do it over a period of days. He can do it in less time than that. He has huge options. He's very much aware of all of that. And we'll see what takes place. I do believe in my own mind that the only way that Iran will meet our demands is we have to force them. Awesome, huge coincidence, right? Yeah. Everybody on TV supports Israel's war and everyone in Congress who got paid by Israel also supports Israel's war. And all of our presidents who all have their number one lifetime donor as the Israeli lobby also support Israel's war. I'm told by mainstream media that that's a giant coincidence. Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean, they don't seem to be pushed or paid or... I mean, it is just like comical. And it reminds me with the kind of propaganda that I used to see in the Middle East. But they just like have better production value, better lights and better suits. I have to say much more expensive suits. But otherwise, it's the same thing. I imagine these people are getting the phone call from Tel Aviv. I don't think they even have the phone calls anymore. I think they're like spineless by nature. And I think they're just, they go in. But it is it is the how everybody is synchronized like a little symphony. They go in the. And they speak. And I love these videos where they take the same exact word and the same exact sentences. Remember at the beginning of the war, this like famous clip that went around there's like a short-term pain, long-term gains. Remember that? Yeah. Remember that? That was like a very, I love that clip. It seems that like they just sent everybody the script and they forgot to change them for each one so it doesn't look as if it was like a copycat. But it is like how the chorus goes on. And it's interesting how so many Americans still fall for that. You know, how we say that people are changing? I think it's, I think we're just giving people here too much credit. I think there is the vast majority of Americans still don't see.
You have 25% of Americans, the evangelical church that has completely brainwashed them and they are completely controlled from Israel. You have 25% of the public. They look at this from a completely religious point of view and they don't see it. And they have a lot of people who just is brown people and Arabs and Muslims who are, yeah, I don't care. Well, as long as we hit them. So I, it's just like. These people have so many, the Fox News and CNN and all of these people have so much reach and people are listening to them. And I don't know, I don't know if that will ever change. Yeah, look, the people that watch TV, they get brainwashed by this stuff, and they don't realize that there is an alternate story. They just, they genuinely, they're like, that's the news to them, right? And the news is that Israel is great. All the Arabs and Muslims need to be killed, and Israel needs to take their land, and we need to do it for them. We need to use our entire military and all of our money and our budget. And if we don't, we're all anti-Semites. And if that's what you hear at church and that's what you hear on cable news and you never heard anything else, you might believe that. But the more people are hearing other factors, the more that they're beginning to open their eyes. And the more they're beginning to realize that these guys on television have been actively trying to deceive them on behalf of a foreign nation and the anger and the rebellion builds. So yeah. All right, we gotta take a quick break here. When we come back, they unleashed the hounds on Abdul El-Sayed. We'll show to you and then we'll push back when we return.
All right, let's go to our members on t.com. Again, I'm reading these blind. Art guy says, ah, Hebrew, the secret Jewish language, nobody else can possibly translate. Perfect for telling people how you really feel about stuff. It is funny. You know, it's the modern day, but, and he doesn't have to hide it in Hebrew. He could say it in English to an American root. cable news anchor, I plan to destroy all of the Palestinians and take all of their land. This is for greater Israel and I'm going to genocide them. And the cable news anchor would come back and report, Israel's acting in self-defense and they are the victim and you owe them, right? So it doesn't, I don't know why he bothers with that charade of saying all the truthful things in Hebrew. But doesn't he already know that American media? is his servants that work for him completely. So that's why it's a hilarious little thing that they do. You're right. Music Matter says, quote, if elected Kamala Harris will start World War III. That is what Maga said to scare people in the voting for Trump. Fear tactic politics will be the end of our society. We've been hearing this messaging since the Nixon era and our country has been sliding downward ever since. And by the way, I challenged Stephen Miller, who's literally the person who said that, and he said, we're not going to do it. I said, you're going to go into Iran, and you're going to start a disastrous war in Iran if you win. He said, oh, we would never. And then he did exactly that, because this is predictable, guys. Both Biden and Trump work for Israel, not complicated at all. Okay, eclectic writes in. We're honestly getting to the point where the fallout from whatever compromise Israel has on Trump would do less damage to his approval rating than this war is doing. Yeah, but he doesn't view it that way. And I am out of time. We'll be right back.
All right, back on T.Y. Tynke, Ugar, Bassem, Yusuf. And I like this comment from Howard Tibbs III, a YouTube member. So happy to be part of TYT. I feel my sanity slowly returning. Okay, happy to have you, brother. Everybody hit that join button, become part of the young Turks, and help spread truth. All right, let's go to the next story. When asked about Hasan Piker comments on 9-11, Senator Bernie Sanders called it a dumb statement. Do you agree? Do you disavow those comments that America deserve 9-11? Oh, awesome. I thought they might not ask about Hasan Piker comments, but luckily she asked two or three times. Let me show you the whole clip and then get your reaction. Watch this. You face scrutiny for campaigning with socialist streamer Hasan Piker, who has made a series of inflammatory comments, as you well know, including saying America deserved 9-11, describing Hamas as a lesser evil than Israel. Do you plan to continue to campaign with Hasan Piker in the general election campaign? Look, I'm less concerned now with who I'm campaigning with, a lot more concerned about who I'm campaigning too. We got a lot of work to do to continue to build the coalition that's going to be Mike Rogers. Would you welcome him though? On the campaign trail with you? Like I said, I'm a lot more focused on who I'm campaigning to. When asked about Hasan Piker comments on 9-11, Senator Bernie Sanders called it a dumb statement. Do you agree? Do you disavow those comments that America deserve 9-11? Of course, it was a dumb statement. And of course, I think Hassan himself would say that was a dumb statement. He disavowed it. So yes, America didn't deserve 9-11. But, you know, to sit here and play gotcha politics with a dumb thing somebody said out of context that they disavowed themselves to say, oh, well, what does that mean about what you think? I want to be held accountable for what I say and what I do. So Bassem, apparently Hasan Piker is the most relevant political person in the country. Everyone has to be, do you denounce them, Bossam? Yeah, of course I denounced it. I would love, I would love, I would love the media to also ask everybody running in any campaign about everybody who they have been associated with. Because that will open a kind of warmth, right? I mean, let's talk about Kerry like Cory Booker. Like, you know, I mean, the guy is buddies with Rabbi Shmuli. And I'm sure that we can get to take so many things that Rabbi Shmuli said. That's so anti-American and just like straight up like racist and horrible. Why don't they ask? Right? I mean, why do they ask the people who run the campaign who are what kind of like they go hand in hand next to most of the most horrible pro-Israeli propagandists and nobody is asking them about like, what do you think about your friend who's saying this for Israel? Nobody's saying that. But when it when it's when it's like a Muslim or an anti-Israeli candidate.
Suddenly everybody's his circle is like we need him to answer for them, which is, which is quite stupid, right? Which is I welcome if they do that to the other side, but they never do, right? Yeah, in fact, this morning on Pierce Morgan, I asked, why doesn't anybody ask Mike Rogers, Abdul El-Sayed's opponent? Do you denounce Benjamin Netanyahu? Yeah, because Mike Rogers is taking, not just campaigning with the Israeli lobby, he's taking money from them, hundreds of thousands of dollars, soon to be millions and tens of millions. So, and Hassan- At least Hasan Piker didn't pay Abdul El-Sayed millions of dollars. I mean, if he did, I mean, if he did, I would like to call Hassan because he's my friend and I have him on my phone and I would like, no, do you give me a couple million brother. Hassan said something that was wrong and then he immediately took it back like a day or two later, and that was about eight years ago or so. Nan Benjamin Netanyahu killed 23,000 children. By the way, Kamala Harris never got asked to denounce Dick Cheney, who got hundreds of thousands of people killed and brought torture back. Hillary Clinton never got asked to denounce Henry Kissinger, who got arguably millions of people killed. So as long as you're getting millions of people killed or torturing people or killing children, our media is totally fine with it. No problem. You don't have to renounce anyone. A streamer said something wrong. At one point out of tens of thousands of hours of talking, ladies and gentlemen, we got them. And I don't know if Kirsten Welker and the rest of the meet the press crew realize how ridiculously biased they are. And now they seem like they're doing a hatchet job on every outsider candidate and how much they love insiders. But maybe they just don't realize that almost everything they say is a lot. Here, I'm going to give you an example outside of Israel. Watch this interaction on Medicare for all. You served as a public health official in Michigan. You even co-authored a book making the case for Medicare for All. Senator Bernie Sanders also campaigned on it as a presidential candidate back in 2016. 10 years later, this idea still does not have a majority support in Congress. If you were to win in November, Dr. Al-Saiad, how do you make Medicare for all a reality when so far it has not had enough support? We're watching more people support Medicare for all every day. We're watching more elected officials support Medicare for all every day. And in a lot of ways, this campaign was a referendum on whether or not we want health care here or bomb somewhere else. And I think the Michigan voter chose health care here.
Do you see that deceitful trick that Welker did where she made it sound like Medicare for all is unpopular? But if you listen carefully, she said a majority of people in Congress don't agree. Now, she knows there's a poll, unless she's ignorant, which is entirely possible, that there's a poll that shows that 65% of Americans want Medicare for all. Boston, that's two thirds of Americans saying we want this. But when you turn on television, they go, it's unpopular. And are you still in favor of it 10 years later? How dare you support two thirds of Americans? What a radical position. So, I mean, is there anything that television doesn't lie about? They did this one, Zohran Mamdani. Remember when Zohran Mamdani was running and all of these promises about like freezing the rent, like having proper transportation? It couldn't be done. How are we're going to get the money? And now he's actually doing really good progress. So the thing is, you either are corrupt. And nobody's going to ask you about all your corruption. Or you're going to do something like, you know, that is beneficial for the public. And then they're going to just like poke hole into it. It's like, oh, it's either going to not going to be done. It's not popular. It's not feasible. And then so, so basically they are, they don't care about the people, you know, the media has proven more, more many, many times. time and time again that don't care about the people. And all of these are just like gotcha questions. Because I would really want to see the same woman debate, like debate the other candidates. And this woman, did she have the other candidate on her show? I would love to see that interview. Yeah. Because that would be interesting. Yeah. No, as far as I know, Mike Rogers has not gone on. No, no, not Mike. The other day, the one that was running against. No, no. They all hide. And so they barely do any interviews. But, but it doesn't matter. Anytime that she was asked questions, they were all super softball questions. You know that. Like, they never, ever touched the insiders. The insiders that they view them as demigods. And so, and look, Welker, by the way, in. The rest of that interview basically said to Abdul El-Sayed exactly what you predicted there, Bassem. She was like, how are you going to pay for that? That's really, aren't you? Go on, don't you admit you're going to raise taxes? Aren't you going to raise taxes, right? But wait a minute, how come Welker never did that with the Iran war? How come she never did that with money going to Israel? Like the same exact situation, wait, we're spending a lot of money, at least in one case we get healthcare, another case we get war, death and destruction and nothing for us. But Welker just can't find a way to ask how are we gonna pay for that? No meet the press host has ever asked about war. How are we going to pay for that? Because they love the war and they're lying about being objective and they just want to lie to you 24-7 so you don't accidentally vote for the person who's actually going to help you. They would hate that idea. If you vote for a person who actually means it and has popular positions,
Kirsten Welker and the rest of the cable news anchors and the network anchors would be so upset that you didn't vote for the corrupt insiders that they love and adore and never ask tough questions to. But it's not just the press that's against Abdul, of course, establishment Democrats are and Trump is. So now we go to the establishment Democrats, of course, represented by Hillary Clinton. Watch this. I know Haley, she was a terrific member of Congress. She was a really effective member of Obama's auto recovery task force. She's a doer. She's a doer, but she's not a modern politician. I mean, she is not somebody who has mastered the art of video and performance online. So that's a healthy dose of copium. This reminds me of like, oh, those people on TikTok, they don't know anything about politics. They don't know about Palestine. Oh, Zohran Mamdani won't because he has a good social media team. It's kind of like a back, like backhanded compliment. It's like, oh, yeah, Abdul is good, but because he's got just like good cameras around him. And beyond that. It's saying, oh no, her pro-Israel positions are wonderful. And her pro-war positions and all of her pro-Israel, everything is wonderful. She just was not a good communicator. She would have won with those positions if it wasn't for the fact that, then why did the Israeli donors pick such an idiot to run for them? Because they wanted empty vessel, someone who's a moron and will take orders and not question the orders. But now all of a sudden that's framed as, oh, God, gee, we accidentally picked an empty vessel. But Hillary's not done yet, one more. that we haven't yet seen enough of is that when the progressives are left, whatever we want to call, you know, candidates on that side of the Democratic Party, when they lose, they often don't support the candidate that has been nominated. You know, there was a lot of reluctance to support Kamala Harris. There was a lot of reluctance to support me when I got the nomination. So it can't be a one-way street. You know, if we're going to have a fair election as there was in Michigan and somebody comes out ahead, a little bit ahead, but needs to get a huge percentage of the voters that voted for Haley, they're going to have to be willing to, you know, get into a conversation that brings those people over. So Hillary Clinton's a giant liar. I'm gonna prove that to you in a second and then I want to get Bossom's reaction to this latest talking point. So, but let me show you first. 15% of Clinton voters through their support behind John McCain in 2008. That's interesting. So a lot more Bernie voters voted against Hillary, right? Oh no, while eight years later, only 6%.
of Bernie Sanders supporters ended up voting for Donald Trump. So in reality, Hillary Clinton's establishment Democratic voters were much more bitter and refused to vote for Barack Obama at a much higher rate. And here they are again, Bassem. Oh, our side didn't win. The pro-Israel side didn't win. Well, we're gonna take our ball and go home. But are you? Because I don't think they represent any real voters. She's only talking about the corrupt Democratic politicians who work for corporate PACs and A-PAC. Were there really any Haley Stevens voters who are like, well, you know what? Abdul's just not corrupt enough. You know, if he, you know, if he took more money from APEC, I would have voted for him. Is that a thing? Oh, man. This is just a $70 million at the AIPAC spent talking. That this is ridiculous. The fact that they want us to tell us, oh, my God, you see that you see that Abdul, that just won, like, you know, me, just going to cost the Democratic Party the seat in Michigan. It's just like, oh, this is going to be your punishment for voting for someone else. This is like the fear tactic, the same way that they say, like, oh, if Zohran Mamdani wins, every billionaire will leave New York. Well, they're still saying there. Nobody left. Same thing. Yeah, and so how it's weird. Now mainstream media, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump all agree to the same thing. I was led to believe that they were against each other, but look at the Unip Party uniting the minute there's an outsider candidate who might represent the voters. So here comes Donald Trump, and Abdul had a terrific comeback to Trump's attack on his family. Watch this. Last night he posted on social media a photograph of him and First Lady Melania Trump in formal attire. Next to a photograph of you and your wife, you appear to be in a restaurant booth or something. Your wife is a psychiatrist. She's wearing a hijab. The caption was two very different Americas. What was your response when you saw that? Yeah, he's right. One in which your overlords are two people who don't like each other, but joint in the interest of making billions of dollars off of you, or two people who genuinely love each other, enjoyed some pancakes together, want to come together to build the kind of America where they can raise a family and know that that family is going to have the good thing. So yes, you've got two different visions of America. Donald Trump's vision is the one you're living in right now. Can you afford your gas? Can you afford your groceries? Do you believe when you look your kids in the eye that they're going to have a better future than you did? Bossam, how excited are you that we now got Muslim American candidates just killing it out there in the campaign trail? I mean, he's slicing and dicing them. So that, I mean, that.
attack totally backfired with with what Abdul El-Sayed, don't you think? I actually love when he said like, yes, he's right. Look at Tapper's face. He said, he did this. Like when he said like he's right, he's right, he said this and then, oh, whoa, wow, this guy is cooking. Yeah, and actually I love his thing when he, the other guy told him, well, Trump tells that you're full of shit. It's like, well, at least I don't like get mine into the Oval Office. That was a masterclass, I have to say. I love the comeback. I love the comeback. I love the comeback. I like the people who are like quick on their feet. But Tapper's face. That guy, but that guy Tappers, by the way, he's one who kind of like promoted all of the rape hoax in the October 7th. He got in like questionable witnesses who changed their rewards every someone. That's not a conversation. But anyway. Yeah, don't get me started on Jake Tapper. We won't be it. That'll be a whole other hour. But you know, Skip, our stage manager just made a good point. One picture is Trump and Melania at a gala among the elites and the billionaires. Another picture is Abdul and his wife at a diner. Okay, which was the real America? Yeah, really. Right, I mean, that to me looks like the real America. That's my existence in terms of diners and what we eat, etc. Gala. We're talking about a gala. Okay, and he thinks that's the real America. I don't think it is. Okay, so of course, uniparty, united against Abdul El-Sayed, but last thing on this is that you'd have to be nuts to vote for Mike Rogers in Michigan because you're basically saying, I want this seat represented by Israel and not by America. Why? Why would you do that? Why would you hand any Senate seat, any political seat in the country to a different nation? And Mike Rogers swears to represent Israel loyally in the Senate. So no Americans should vote for them. Okay, now that we're clear, I want to squeeze in one more story. It's about- Can I say one more thing about Hassan-Hasan Piker because- No, no, we're gonna do that. Let me do the Hassan story here, so you could say all you want about it.
You guys are suckers. They're going to do to you next. If I had said America deserve 9-11, trust me, people would still be talking about it and demanding that my visa gets ripped up. I'm sorry, dude, but like if someone's talking about Adolf Hitler that way, you would immediately have alarm bells going off, going like, whoa, what? I've said crazy stuff. You know what I've never said, Chank, in my entire life. America deserved Americans over 3,000 dying. burning to death and jumping to their freaking death. And there's no excuse for that. And it's absolutely unconscionable for somebody to say that America deserved 9-11. I was a kid. I remembered what happened on 9-11. He is not sorry. He said that. He's only sorry he got caught. It's his true belief. It's what's in his heart. And there are millions of Americans up. Okay, so I'm gonna show you how I responded on air to that in a minute, but Bassem, give me your thoughts in general about this line of attack. Well, I didn't know that Hasan Piker apologized two days later. I didn't know because the media has just like, pointed so much on what he said and they never talked about him like withdrawing his comments. I mean, if you talk about politics, we have a history of politicians saying horrible stuff and that, okay, sorry guys, I didn't mean it. It didn't go. So why don't they don't extend the same courtesy to Hassan? The guy said, okay, guys, I said a dumb thing. I'm sorry. Just, okay, forget about it. And it's been like going on for 10 years. Okay, what do they want to do to him? They want him to what? Kill himself. I mean, I mean, the guy said something done and he apologized. And he said like, I'm sorry I didn't who's done. Okay, what else do you want? Yeah. Seriously. So yeah, he came right on this program on the Young Turks and said, look, what I really am talking about is that. America gets stuck in the quagmire of the Middle East for no reason. And we antagonize the Middle East to help Israel, et cetera. And I said to the panel, look, you guys all actually agree with that position. You just didn't like the way that he said it. And he didn't like the way he said it. So he came out and clarified immediately. But it's used as an attack line anyway. And I have more to say about that trick. But first, let's just show you my response when we were live on Pierce. So these comments matter. It is good that he withdrew them. But the defense, what a defense that they matter? Can I explain? Explain his comments about Mao Cetong, because they are extremely concerning. Why isn't anybody asking Mike Rogers, hey, do you denounce Benjamin Netanyahu? You're taking, not only are you campaigning with the Israeli lobby, not only are you associated with the Israeli lobby, you take money from the Israeli lobby, you are legally bribed. by the Israeli lobby. So do you denounce the butcher of Jerusalem that has murdered 23,000 children? That is a very legitimate question, but somehow mainstream media can't ask that question. Why didn't they ask Kamala Harris, do you denounce Dick Cheney, who brought torture back, who got hundreds of thousands of people killed? Instead, they're like, oh, you're so wonderful for a bear hugging Dick Cheney. Why didn't anybody get asked, don't you denounce Henry Kissinger? So these are actual murderers.
who have slaughtered tens or hundreds of thousand people, but yet mainstream media doesn't do smear by proxy there. They never asked that question. Oh, what did Hassan say? What did Jenks say? Well, by the way, what did Tucker Carlson say? What did Marjorie Taylor Greene say? Notice that they always do this to outsiders. Bossum, what I warned them about- See it's a great, it's a great expression, smear by proxy, love that. Yeah, thank you brother. So one of the things I was pointing out to them, and actually at one point in the discussion, a lot of them actually agreed, especially Dave Smith, and is that guys, you're falling into a trap here. They're gonna find something wrong that Dave Smith said, the Vinnie O'Shauna said, that Lindy Lee said, those are the other people on the panel, and then Bossom said, and I said, and Tucker Carlson said, and Thomas Massie said. Now, they ignore the things that the warmongers do, the people that they get killed, but they focus on one thing we might have said or otherwise. And do you think, like, so both in terms of The right wing outsiders who are trying to cancel Hassan along with mainstream media and some of our guys on the left trying to cancel Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene for other comments they've made are making a mistake by dividing the anti-war movement. Yeah, well, the thing is, I, they're focusing on these little things in order to, uh, diverse, they kind of distract people on what's important. You know, as you said, like, you're talking about actual murders and nobody is talking about like, why don't they, uh, the, the smear by proxy what you said, but they're focusing on a streamer. streamer seriously I mean yes he's an influential streamer he has he has weight and everything but I that's why I don't like do how can we take any of these people seriously yeah and by the way if we're criticizing people on in media for their associations I mean they all go and talk to Jake Tapper and Jake Tapper seems to be totally in favor of Israel's genocide So how come that's never discussed, right? Exactly, right? The only thing that's ever discussed is if you disagree with Israel, we will dig into your life, try to find something that you said at any point, doesn't matter if you're 13 years old, and it doesn't matter if you're on the left or the right and try to destroy you. And that's how our media works, and that's what they're trying to do, the Hassan right now. And his speech at the University of Washington just got canceled. And they say, oh, he has a history of saying naughty things. Get the hell out of here, man. They're trying to take our freedom of speech away just to make sure that the establishment wins. All right, Bassem, you're awesome for joining us today. We appreciate your brother. Thank you so much for having me, guys. I appreciate you. Thank you so much. And everybody, check out, Bassem, he tours all the time. And make sure you're checking out one of his live shows and check him out on social media. Bossam Yusuf everybody. Thank you.
Bye bye bye. All right, guys, we're gonna take quick break here. When we come back, we've got more on A-PAC. They have found a new way to support candidates secretly because they realize now that they're toxic, but we're gonna reveal their secrets when we return. if you're Christian. In fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your Christianity. I believe in that. I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live my life based on your religion. I don't care what the Bible says. You have every right in the world. All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get an abortion to not take birth control, but they do not have the right to dictate my life. And what I decide to do with my body, I don't care about your goddamn religion. I'm so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says. You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible. Again, I don't care, but you don't get to take the Bible and tell me, while the Bible says this, in this chapter, in this verse, I don't care. I don't care, I don't believe in it. And I have the right based on our Constitution to not believe in it. No part of Gaza has been left unscathed. Ain't a whole lot left. I don't know why they need any more bomb. Let us be clear. The United States provided $18 billion in military aid to Benjamin Netanyahu indiscriminate bombardment have killed more than 50,000 civilians, 60% of whom are women, children, paramedics, and journalists. All of this is against basic human decency. You don't starve children. with absolutely no humanitarian aid getting into Gaza. It is a war crime. It is illegal for the United States government to provide Israel with more offensive weapons. History will not forgive us.
We've been on our phones too much. I feel like we just need to touch grass or something. I told you. I mean, you know what? Let's actually do it. Let's touch the grass. Whoa. It. Andrew Yang? It's not racist, right? It's him. Yes, it is I. Andrew Yang out here giving money away, as usual. Wait, but literally? Do you use a phone? Noble Mobile will cut your wireless bill in half every month, and you get paid even more if you log off, look up, and touch grass. Oh, I actually have some grass if you... I don't think that's the kind of grass. Not that kind of grass, unfortunately. Wait, what the... Whoa. I guess that kind of grass works too. All grass works. All grass and we get cash? Did you see that? Babe. Noble. Make it rain, make it rain, girl, make it rain. That didn't rain so good. But now it's raining good. Corruption, injustice, the system is rigged against you. Back on TYT, Jank and Elliot Morgan, everybody. The doctor's in the house, he makes house calls. So we first, before we get to do anything else, these fun handles just joined us. There are there are human beings behind those handles. One has, I smoke and I know things. Okay, I love that one. The second one might be even better, Mexican domination. Okay, that sounds a little and Patrick Hovey 5867. You guys are amazing. We love that you guys joined us. We're not the young Turks, you're the young Turks. That idea of being against the establishment, caring deeply about the truth and singing up for the average American, that's what makes you a young Turk, and we love that. So if you can hit the join button below or t.com slash join. Okay, so now let's move to our next story. People are tired of the status quo politics and establishment policies. They want real change. And Peggy Flanagan is about bringing about real change standing up to the big money interest. There is a reason why the super PACs and the billionaires are flooding Minnesota with all kinds of money. Same thing as Michigan. But you still are confident Flanagan's going to pull this off. No, I'm not confident. I think it's going to be a very, very close race. Okay. I think she's being outspent seven to one. And under those circumstances, it's tough anybody to win. So Minnesota's next. After Michigan, they're now attacking all of the progressive populist candidates in Minnesota. How dare they? And of course, AAC is fumbling a lot of money into the race. Elliot's got the facts on that. Yeah, so following Michigan, the upset in Michigan for APAC, they have now turned toward the U.S. Senate and House Democratic Farmer Labor primaries in Minnesota. So let's start with the Senate race first. For the Senate, you have Representative Angie Craig versus Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. Oh, and actually we have a better photo of Angie Craig, I think somewhere. There it is, perfect. So Flanagan, who is backed by Bernie Sanders, has been very very vocal about Israel's actions in Gaza. She called it a genocide and has slammed Craig for voting yes on additional funding to Israel. Craig, again, was the only Minnesota Democrat to send 2,000 pound bombs to Benjamin Netanyahu and has had an incredible amount of support from APEC. They've been her biggest funder throughout her entire political career. My values do not align with APEC. I'm not taking their money and I think that this matters when it comes to how we engage in foreign policy. That said, it is not just A PAC. It's other billionaire funded super PACs who spent record amounts of money to make sure Craig wins. And that's why Bernie has been advocating hard for Flanagan. in recently. Peggy Flanagan understands that we have a corrupt campaign finance system. And she knows that very well, because she is experiencing it right now. Billionaires and their super PACs are spending a record amount of money against her in this election, somewhere around $20 million in the state of Minnesota. And if you can believe it,
Peggy is being outspent seven to one in outside from outside spending. You know, what Peggy believes and when I believe, we believe in democracy. You got an opinion, it's different than I was. Fine, go out. Let's argue it. You want to run against me? You want to run against Peggy? Fine. That's called democracy. But we cannot continue a broken and corrupt campaign finance system that allows billion ass to buy elections. That's something very high on Peggy's agenda. And you're not going to believe the same thing is happening in the House race as well, but that one is a little bit more complex. So to make sure Angie Craig's open seat in Minnesota's second congressional district gets filled with another pro-Israel candidate. Four super PACs, all with ties to A-PAC and the Democratic majority for Israel, or DMFI, have poured a decent chunk of change into that race as well. So according to our friends Julian Andrioni and Ryan Grimm over at DropSight, in the three-way race, one candidate, Matt Klein, is unapologetically supportive of Israel, while two others, Matt Little and Caleb Berg, have been critics to varying degrees. Little, however, has the support of the group a new policy, which was founded to support pro-Palestinian candidates and lobby conference. Congress against Israeli interests. They also add another pack called American Priorities, which was organized to be a counterweight to A PAC. That has jumped into the race to support Little with a spend of about $60,000. So that's a decent backing for a progressive candidate to win. But Klein didn't have much support at the beginning. Little released an internal survey conducted between May 18th and 20th, which found him well ahead, taking 41% of the vote, with Berg and Klein far behind in a statistical tie. for second, with Berg at 13% and Klein at 11%. So because this is a three-way race, the Israeli lobby has had to get a little bit more creative. So given the numbers, the path to victory for Klein was clear. He needed little to be brought down by boosting Berg, splitting the vote between the two progressives and needed big money to get himself past both of them. On May 1st, APEC super PAC had transferred $350,000 to EDW Action Fund, followed by $100,000 on May 10th and another $400,000. on May 20th. EDW did not respond for requests for clarification on why the money was moved and where it was ultimately spent. So according to drop site, EDW, which stands for the elect Democratic Women Action Fund, spent $395,000 on Berg between June 26th and August 3rd. The other funds from APAC were sent, were then sent to Berg through a hybrid pack called pro-choice majority action. Hope you're keeping up. There's going to be a quiz later. DMFI also tried. transferred $500,000 to women vote, which is an independent expenditure arm of Emily's list and also linked to APAC. Nevertheless, the total dollars spent on Berg's behalf by PACs that have been used as pro-Israel pass-throughs at some point, including women vote, amounts to $979,000 since June 11th. Now, the fact that PACs linked to APAC are spending to boost Berg doesn't mean Berg herself is aware of the links, and it doesn't mean pro-Israel donors affirmatively want Berg to win.
for comment rejected any involvement with women's vote support for Berg's campaign. But of course, obviously Klein is their choice. Klein, for his part, has also seen a flood of supportive outside spending. 314 Action Fund is a Super PAC which backs candidate to are involved in science or medicine, but has sometimes acted in the past as an APAC pass-through. FEC records show that the Super PAC spent $1.2 million in independent expenditures backing Klein in four installments between July 20th and July 30th, on August 5th, 314 Action dropped another $1.2 million into the race. The state senator has also received an additional $138,000 from 57 individual donors who have also given to APAC, UDP, or DMFI. All of the individual donations were given on the same day, June 28th, many divided in various increments, amounting to the maximum 3,500 individual contribution each. So these aren't as big of numbers as we saw in Michigan, but it does still show both the influence of the Israeli lobby, as well as other billionaires and the kind of influence they have on our elections, which in case you've forgotten, are supposed to actually be up to us. Current polls show Angie Craig leading Peggy Flanagan, 42% to 40%. And again, the most recent polling for CD2 from June shows little at 26% and Klein at 19%. But of course, we'll have to see how all of this plays out tomorrow. Jake, thoughts on all of this. Yeah, so first off, there's two different things here that we've been talking about for a while. One is how they funnel money through different groups while they pretend that they're doing something else, right? So we told you now for about 10 years, Emily's List is a group that has opposed progressives and primaries. almost more than anyone else. That's a weird thing. Progressives are in favor of women's rights at least as much as establishment Democrats, likely more. So why would they be opposed to us? It doesn't make any sense, except. It's establishment figures that are funneling money through that. And that way, and why pick Emily's list? Why pick these women's rights groups? So we told you about another group they were using last week. They called Chicago Women, but it's actually Israel. That has nothing to do with Chicago women. Why this pro-choice majority in democratic women groups? Because when you criticize, they get to say sexist. Wait, but it's not for women's rights. And in fact, you're spending it against a woman in one of the races, right? And they're like, yeah, shut up, okay, you're an anti-Semite sexist. Well, it's not working anymore. And we see the money, we see the 500,000 going to one group, and then you funnel it over to the group that sounds benign, sounds like they're for women, and then they spend it on the candidate you like, right? It's now becoming clearer and clearer. And because of outlets like DropSight News doing great, reporting on it, sludge, lever, right here at TYT, we do the best we can. And so people are now realizing, oh, this is totally fraudulent. And how long have they been doing this for a long, long time? They're doing it more these days because APAC is so toxic. The Israeli lobby is so toxic. They have to funnel it through Americans for puppies and unicorns, right? And then go, you're a unicornist.
How dare you, you puppyist, or anti-puppiest? Okay, so now the second thing is how they pick two people in a race. And so I want to explain that to you guys. So some races, they pick two people because they want to knock a third person out. Great example was like California 11. Shortcott Chukhar Barty was the real populist progressive in that race, co-founder of just Democrats. and had a firmly anti-Israel position. Then you have Scott Weiner who formerly had a very pro-Israel position, but since that's Nancy Pelosi's old scene in San Francisco, in the middle of the campaign, in the middle of one of the debates, he changed this position and was like, no, I am slightly opposed to Israel's. non-genocide, right? So that's the one they want to win. He's already pushed laws saying you shouldn't, you know, we should change the history books for the kids and teach them a pro-Israel point of view and we should fire a university administrators who are tolerate any student criticizing Israel. So they want Scott's one, but. They use the same exact trick to funnel about half a million, same number, to Connie Chan, who was in the race. Connie seems like she's not necessarily for Israel, and she has kind of a middle ground approach. So why are they getting her money when they want Scott to win? Because they need to knock Shoycott out. By the way, the biggest assist they got it from that, heartbreakingly was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez refused to endorse Shaiqat, they ran. ads against shortcut. By the way, maybe with Israeli money, okay, saying, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won't endorse him. And he dropped from nearly first to third, and they knocked him out of the race. Now you have two people who are going to support Israel in one of the most liberal progressive districts in the whole country. So that was really well played. And then sometimes they do it like they did in Michigan. You have two stalking horses. You've got Haley Stevens and McMorrow. Mallory McMorrow. claims not to take money from APEC but wrote a policy paper for APEC saying how Israel was right about everything, right? So Mallory McMorrow is the one pretending not to be for Israel, Connie Chan is pretending. And in this case, in that congressional race, Berg is the one pretending. not necessarily to be in favor of Israel, but getting the money funneled to her. And then they see who's gonna do better, Kleinerberg, Kleinerberg, Stevens, or Mallory McMorrow, and whoever has the lead, they make the other person drop out, put all their money behind the first guy, and try to knock out. the person criticizing Israel. So all of those tricks are wrapped up in a beautiful little boat in Minnesota for you for tomorrow. Yep. Don't fall for any of them. Obviously, if you want American sovereignty, vote for little in the congressional campaign and Flanagan in the Senate race. Yeah, you know, what I appreciate too about this story is I'm old enough to remember when I, in my younger days, when I saw this Bernie Sanders guy talking about all the money in politics. And I remember listening to that as a young person.
being like, yeah, whatever, what's the big deal? Who cares? Because I didn't understand anything. And this is a great example of why all this stuff does matter, because it shows exactly how endemic money is in politics right now. And when you have 12,000 lobbyists in Washington, that means that for every democratically elected official whose job is ostensibly to act on behalf of their constituents, there's dozens of people in their ears telling them, hey, we go this way, why don't you go this way, want to do this? Actually, if you could just help us out, and then don't even worry about we're going to funnel this money through various names until there's absolutely. no paper trail. This is a great example and I think it shows it should upset people and it also is a reminder that Bernie Sanders was right about everything they talked about. Yeah, absolutely. We got more on how Bernie was right a little bit later show on other topics as well. But we appreciate anyone who's revealing these tricks and how it's being played and fighting back against it. And Bernie's been a stalwart. He's been our foundation from day one in fighting back against us. And that's why we love him for it. And we need as many voices on our side speaking out in favor of these good candidates as. humanly possible. They have all the rest of media and they have all the money in the world. So we're getting out to spend at a minimum 7 to 1, 12 to 1 in Michigan, and the list goes on. So as we're gonna talk about later in the show, when folks like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez don't endorse these candidates, it's taking the oxygen out of the room. Don't do that. Russian and endorse, I don't care if they don't agree with you perfectly. A lot of these candidates have like wild, some of these candidates, not a lot of them, have wild positions on agreeing with DSA on abolishing prisons or whatever. But they're not gonna do that because literally no one in Congress agrees with that and they're not focusing on it, they're not prioritizing. It's like number 1,000 on their list. Mainstream media plucks that out as a trick and goes, that's what they're gonna do, they're gonna abolish prisons and release all the No, they're not, okay? And why did they get to be so popular? Because, not because of those positions, but because of their enormously popular positions like end the wars, get money out of politics, universal health care. So don't fall for any of those tricks and no, and by the way, you know me, I'm the guy who fought against all that stuff on the left, abolishing prisons and defunding the police. And I took a ton of flag for it. But that doesn't mean. I or anyone else or James Carville or Hillary Clinton or all of major media get to kick anyone out of the party. Oh, I don't like one of your positions and you're kicked out. In fact, one of the positions I took back then was. Sorry, but you don't get to kick us out of the party, right? If you're like far left and you think we should abolish the Senate and and you know, and do these positions that are not popular, I'm not kicking you out of the party. I'm not saying you can't be on the left. I'm just saying let everybody have their own opinion. And then when we find candidates we like and the most important quality is not their 1,000th priority and it's not even some of the pretty talk that.
Establishment Democrats do? No, do they mean it? Do they, is the core of what they're saying, something that they're actually going to deliver? Are they gonna fight like hell to get universal healthcare? Are they gonna fight like hell to get money out of politics and end the wars? Or are they gonna go into Congress and like the establishment Democrats do, just go, wang, wang, I'm not gonna do any of that, but I want your vote. You need to vote for me, it's all your fault if you don't vote for me two or three times, right? No, no, no, it's their fault. Let's go find the right candidates and win on these. And good news, Elliot is, we're winning. And that's why they're so bothered by this and spending so much money. Love it. Exactly, beautiful. All right, we're gonna take a quick break here. When we come back, I do have some critique of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She was on the Sunday talk shows on this week. There were some things she said right, but overall, we'll do that when we return. Some cruel person starts a rumor. It's overrated. Wrong. They drew first blood, not me.
All right, let's go to members on t.com. Archie says, given that Trump will do literally anything to avoid looking like a loser and BB won't let him make a peace deal. This puts a ground invasion of Iran on the cards as his only way out. Oh, that's definitely where they're driving. Even the articles where they're like we're running low on interceptor missiles have four or five references to the other idea is ground troops. People are talking about ground troops. It could be ground troops. So that's watch out, that's probably next. The Blue Wolf says, is Bossa married dating? Just curious. Oh yeah. Okay, I don't know. That's a good question. I'll ask him next time and let you know. Eclecting miscellaneous says, and meanwhile, the Democratic establishment is spending all their time and money attacking progressives instead of going after Trump for continuing this insane war that Americans do not want. Yes, that's a great point. Have establishment Democrats spent more time in media attacking fellow Democrats or attacking the war? Ooh, I think it's not close. It's attacking fellow Democrats. So that is very telling, great point. Boomer Dragon Cats is currently slapping myself forever believing in corporate politicians. Don't do it, Cat. We all believe because we all got brainwashed by television. We didn't know, we didn't have other sources of news. New York Times, they were all lying to us about how moderate they are and how lovely they are. Anyway, don't shoot on the goalkeeper, says, Hillary, you couldn't even be bothered to show up in Michigan during your campaign. Keep your nose out of our elections. Great point. Pedro says, what the hell does Congress do beside? Besides fundraise with their time, this fact alone ought to reverse Citizens United. I guess fairness and common sense is too high a hurdle for our Supreme Court. Oh, definitely, and they do nothing else. We'll be back. Some cool person starts a rumor. Internet's overrated. They drew first blood, not me.

I'm sure you saw the poll in New Hampshire that had you as the leading candidate, leading choice for Democrats. First of you, are you going to run for president? I mean, I'm focused on winning the midterms. I'm running for Congress right now. But I mean, do you see this as something, I know you said you're open to it? Is it a realistic possibility for me? I haven't, well, I haven't ruled out the possibility, and I'm very humbled to the tremendous amount of support out there. I think that we have a responsibility to remain focused on the midterms and not on our individual. aspirations or plans. And running for Senate against Chuck Schumer. Is that also something that's possible? I mean, I think that anything is possible at this juncture. God, that first, like, laugh was so awkward and fake. Oh, it's painful. I don't know why they aren't just honest and go. Yeah, bro, of course I'm thinking about it. I'm number one in that poll. I'd be nuts not to think about it. And am I thinking of taking Chuck Schumer's seat? God, I'd love to take Chuck Schumer's seat. Just give me an honest answer. We'd love it if you did. Now, Elliot, there was some good answers in what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said. I'll touch on that too. But unfortunately, there was something that I didn't love. Yeah. And others didn't love either. So let's give everybody the full context. Yeah, this is not a fun one. Because also in that same interview, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, did seem to signal a pretty big shift from her 2018 priorities. So let's watch her address some of the comments made by Francesca Hong back in the day, the Democratic Socialist candidate for governor in Wisconsin. What do you make of those controversial statements? I'm sure you've seen. I mean, she's...
You know, the Thanksgiving dust up. She says she doesn't, you know, still believe that. But, you know, the abolished prisons, abolished police, which is also positions that have been taken by a lot of the progressive candidates who have won. I have a local city councilman that has this saying woke one was crazy. Yeah, so that's earned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, some pretty mixed reactions. Glenn Greenwald, a friend of the show, was definitely not a fan. He said this new tactic of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her allies to giggle away their past crazy ideas should not be tolerated. Quote, woke wasn't just some harmless zany moment. It was a sinister movement that destroyed careers and reputations for the smallest thought crimes. It needs a reckoning. And then there was Ryan Grimm, also a friend of the show. And he was a little more forgiving. He said obviously a reckoning with what happened would be preferable, but that feels unrealistic. More achievable is what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to do here, laugh at how crazy it was, and move to talking about the economy. But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued and stated that COVID was the reason why Woke 1 happened. That what's important is that we have to assess what- Was it? I mean, did the movement go too far with some of those positions? I mean, you briefly supported the idea of defunding the police. Well, you know, I think that- During this time, and during, especially during COVID, there was a huge opening of the overtime window. We were shut down. There was some of the highest unemployment rates that we have seen because of those shutdowns. And I think that the doors were really open in trying to entertain any and every policy that was going to get us to a better place. And I actually think that the discussions that were had in that time were quite fruitful. And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also addressed the criticism that she's been a little too precious with her endorsements. A fellow progressive wrote recently. The headline in The Hill was, today's cautious Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would not have endorsed the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of 2018, because you were obviously running against an incumbent. I mean, that's probably correct, right? What's your thinking there? I wasn't endorsed by anybody when I was running. Your friends. Yeah, just some, just some friends. So I wasn't endorsed by, I don't think I was endorsed by a single elected official when I was running for office. Okay, a lot to unpack there before we continue on. Jenk, any thoughts here? Yeah, lots of thoughts. So we've got a little bit more of what she said that we'll share with you in a second. But first, just to address that last point, that's not true. You were endorsed by a lot of people. I guess we are not relevant anymore. Yeah, none of the elected officials, but just Democrats not only endorsed you, but help you run your campaign.
The same guy who you refused to endorse, shortcut Chalker Barty was the founder of just Democrats and moved to be your campaign manager and helped you win and you wouldn't endorse him. But he definitely endorsed you. And he, it was instrumental in helping you win. DSA endorsed her. I forget of working families that I think they did and I think that they were helpful on the ground. So now that's a range of people. And so I don't necessarily agree with DSA, but was I happy that DSA endorsed her and helped her? Of course I was, right? I sound like I, even though I don't agree with DSA, I sound like I'm more appreciative of them than she is. So like don't phrase it like no one endorsed you. The progressives. on the ground and in the, and on the airwaves, try to help you so many ways. And she's now cut off all of those people who helped her. And she's got this thing that she's obsessed with. Like, I did it all on my own. I distinctly remember. I mean, you guys remember. You saw it on the young Turks. We covered her 34 times before she won her primary. So it's not. about our egos, who cares, but don't diminish the movement that helped to get you in that position, right? So more on that in a minute, but back to the earlier statements, look, to be fair, the first five minutes of the interview, I thought her answers were pretty good. And she talked about, yeah, the economy and the things that make progressives popular and how, hey, look, when a progressive wins, we should unite around them, right? From the left of the party, the right of the party, the center of the party. And so, so great stuff on that. And so I want you to know that as well. So, but when she says woke one was crazy. Well, okay, we got to have a conversation about that because she was proudly woke before whatever the hell that means. But she was certainly in that category. There's no one can dispute that, right? And so I kind of agree with both Glenn and Ryan. I think Glenn's being a little too harsh, right? I lean a little bit more in Ryan Grimm's direction. But as Ryan said, but then we have to have a reckoning. So we young Turks was very clearly on one side of that. We said, look, we think defund the police is not productive. We think it's a bad slogan. We think that and no one covered police abuse more than we did. That's just the empirical fact. And we were enraged by it. But we didn't think the right answer was framing it so like there'd be no police. And every time the people who chose that slogan and defended that slogan said, it doesn't mean no police, then why did you call it defund the police? And so we're asking you to do reasonable things that don't make us unpopular. If you say, if you mean reform the police, say reform the police. If you mean end the policing, then say end the policing or defund the police. Like so when I say defund Israel, I don't mean
Hey, let's slightly reform our relationship with Israel. I mean, no, not another dollar to Israel. So that's a clear statement, right? So let's be clear about what we mean. And then we got a lot of pushback on that. And on abolishing prisons, we had these huge long debates. And so my question along those lines is. There's actually a couple of questions, Elliot. Number one, are we all clear that that side of the debate was wrong and at abolishing prisons and defunding the police are very unpopular and we shouldn't go in that direction? Or are people still defending that? And then that leads to question number two, if people are still defending that. And this is a genuine question, are they livid with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez today for throwing them under the bus? Right. Or have they, or are they now in the position of, well, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's our demigod, so if she's changed all of our positions on that, we overnight have also switched our positions. Hopefully, yeah. I don't know. I don't know the answer to that. I mean, I'm more in the DSA camp, and there is a criticism that is prevalent throughout the DSA and people to the left of the DSA, which is a constant worry that social Democrats will capitulate to the sort of milk toast liberal policies whenever they gain power. So I don't think that this interview did any favors for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with that subset of people. And definitely as someone who tries to remember the- politicians are tools that you don't need to have like an emotional investment you don't have to have this sort of cult of personality thing they are useful in so far as they get the job done my best case scenario here and this is maybe cope but at least my hope is that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is actually kind of doing like an inverted version of establishment democrats where rather than banging her fist down or like taking a photo holding a baseball bat and trying to act up and then doing absolutely nothing she is doing this sort of more tempered down rhetoric to try to appeal to everyday voters, but would still govern according to those original principles. Now, as for some of those other ideas from the DSA, I think, yeah, a lot of that goes down to rhetoric and it's bad marketing. I think there's perfectly valid reasons. It's definitely not what you lead with though, but we live in an age right now with the internet where people are going to dig that up and it seems like it's forever and it's going to be taken at face value. So we'll see what I agree it like you were saying with both Glenn Greenwald too and. and Ryan Grimm there. I also think it's important to remember the historical context of that time with the Me Too movement, with COVID, with George Floyd. A lot of people were becoming aware of a lot of systemic issues that they weren't previously. And that led to a lot of anger and that anger I think got directed really incorrectly. But I do not understand what's going on with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a lot of this interview. She kept talking even after that last clip, but she also never really addressed the substance of the question. But like in New York, you had the candidates that were endorsed by Zohran Mamdani, two of whom were challenging sitting members of Congress, powerful members of Congress, Democrats. And you decided to sit that one out. Is that part of wanting to work with your colleagues that are in the House? I mean, what's the... Yeah, you know, I think we're all in different, you know, politics is also a workplace, and we're all in different positions to that.
endorsed, for example, in New York on the state level, I endorsed a slate of challengers to incumbents in the assembly and in the Senate. And I don't work in state government, which gives me a greater freedom to be able to do that and to assess it. And I'm very grateful, you know, that we now have a progressive movement that doesn't, that that is in large enough numbers that. You know, it used to be that you could fit five people in a closet and that was that was that was the caucus and now we've grown into quite a successful movement. All right, and final clip, here's- Hold on, before we go to that, I wanna stay on that, Elliot. So, okay, so now the movement's strong enough that you don't need me endorsing you. Okay, but wait, how would it make the movement weaker for you to endorse? So basically she's saying, hey, you're on your own, I'm not gonna help you. And part of the point of forming just Democrats was so that people would get inside the Bill Gates and open the doors. and put down ladders so that others can climb up, not pull up the ladders. So yeah, this Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would have never endorsed the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that ran against Crowley. That's a stone cold fact. And she just told you. She says, well, I mean, Congress is also a workplace. So that means I have to be nice to my coworkers, but your coworkers are establishment pricks. There are enemies who are preventing Medicare for all, who are preventing even things like paid family leave that's sitting at 84%. They're preventing higher minimum wage, getting money out of politics. They're preventing us from extracting ourselves from the wars and from Israel. I don't give a goddamn that they're your co-workers. That's not the relevant part. So, but she's telling you right there, no question. She's saying, yeah, I care more about them than I do about helping progressives who are running in these primaries. I'm gonna be loyal to them. And she said, look, I could endorse in the state assembly races. There is where I have, quote, greater freedom. But who's taking your freedom away? Bernie's in the Senate and Bernie's endorsing everybody in their mother. Rokane is in the House. He's endorsing everybody in their mother. Who's taking your freedom away? Nobody is. No, you're choosing to work with Hakeem Jeffries and the Democratic leadership. Don't blame it on lack of freedom. And if it's true, then I don't want to vote for someone who's saying, yeah, I'm handcuffed. Vote for me. I'm handcuffed to the Democratic establishment and my. colleagues and coworkers. So I told you she cared too much about her colleagues in there. She basically admitted it, right? And then Elliot, to the earlier point, what was that excuse about, oh, I was woke before because it was COVID?
I have no idea with that. What was that? Like is that a thing? Like you were allowed to say things you don't mean during COVID or we all got crazed during COVID. So why does it have to do with COVID? The timeline doesn't add up either. Woke began before COVID. Yeah, and you wanted to defund the police because of COVID? And so wait, just help me understand that. Like, are you saying now that you were like, because she used the word crazy. Elliot, I know with absolute certainty, if I said woke one was crazy, I'd have at least half a dozen left wing hosts take my head off, right? Crazy. What do you mean crazy? How dare you say it was crazy? We did perfect. Yeah, and here's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying, yeah, we were all crazy because during COVID we lost our minds and woke was totally wrong. Wow, I mean, how is that not stunning? I agree that we all lost our minds due to COVID, but again, woke. predates COVID. And yeah, I mean, we had a more socially divisive time during there. There's a lot of confusion going around and there was a lot of interest and people making really big sweeping changes. But we have one more clip here where Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez kind of addresses this concern that's especially coming from the left regarding whether or not she's the same candidate that she was when she first ran for Congress. You've changed as well, right? How have you changed since you came in as this insurgent rebel and odds with the Democratic leadership? How have you changed? You know, I think Life has a way of really weathering you and adding to your context and your experience. It humbles you, but it also emboldens you in a lot of ways. And I think it has been the greatest privilege of my life to be able to represent the working people of my congressional district. I think some of the ways that it's changed me has been to be able to come in with so many aspirations for our country and then to have the remarkable opportunity to be in the arena and try to make the country a better place, challenges and all. And I love that it's hard. I love that I have to, and I get to. engage with people from all across the country, elected officials from all across the country to try to actually fulfill our dreams to guarantee health care to every American. There you have it. That sounds to me definitely like a politician. It is a little disappointing. I hope this worry is just overblown. There's a little part of me, it's like, ooh, do we have egg on our face here? Is this another example of a politician just falling in line the moment they get a little power? Jank, what are your thoughts?
What was that? That was a word salad and a half. That sounded like Kamala Harris. So, okay, it's funny because I literally got asked the same question before I saw that full clip earlier today. Okay, I was on Dan Labatard show, check that out when you get a chance. And he asked me, hey, Jake, you used to be a Republican, and then you changed. And what made you change? It's a great question, right? And it's a perfectly legitimate question. And we talked it over about how I changed. issue by issue realizing one by one literally waking up in a sense being woke, right? Oh, it turns out I thought the Republicans wanted to balance budgets because that's what the media kept telling me, but they never balanced budgets. I thought they said they were for peace through strength, but we never got to peace. All we got was war, right? And I went through and explained all the different things that made me realize, oh, these guys are full of crap. And so you could see the timeline because it's organic, it's real, it's natural, that's what happened in my life. When he asked that question, she went to, It I it wet time weather's you. It humbles you. Okay, I don't know what that means or is how that's relevant to any of this. And then you come in with aspirations, but it turns out it's a challenge, okay? And then I love that it's hard. I don't know why we love that it's hard. I'd rather it would be easy, okay? And then we get to, that's why we're working with colleagues to make it better. But are we? Establishment colleagues have helped make it better. Did we negotiate drug prices? Did we get anything passed? Well, how did how did the humbling and the weathering lead to working with the colleagues that led to the bills we won? None of that happened. And in the midst of that word jumble, How did she change? She went from, let's go, we're a rebel and we're in the middle of a political revolution. Let's go take out the incumbents like Crowley. Let's get in progressives and populists and knock down the doors and get all these things we want to. My colleagues are my co-workers and I love working with them and accomplishing nothing. Well, that's a giant change. Sorry, sorry, you could say accomplishing some things. To be fair, she got a little piece of the Green New Deal inside of one of the bills. And look, that's a significant accomplishment. By the way, if you say that, I can live with that better if she's like. Hey look, we didn't get anywhere near what we wanted, but at least I got that portion in. Yeah, I got taken out later by drum, but we were trying to do something. Give me a real answer. Don't give me words sounds that don't mean anything. And guys, why do I tell you this? Because I want you to, oh my God, you shouldn't like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or not. No, no, no, no, no. Look, I'm not in the James Carville camp, right?
I disagree with people who want to abolish prisons. I don't want to drive them out of the party. I want to have them stay here because we're all going to work on Medicare for all together. We're going to work on ending the endless wars. By the way, also when somebody from the right comes and says, hey, let's end the wars. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Joe Kent, etc. Other people say, don't work with them. No, on ending the wars, I will work with them. We've got to get united. Otherwise, we won't be able to. So I'm not trying to push Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez out. I'm not saying boo Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I'm just saying that if we go towards a presidential election and you have to choose, be careful in how we choose. Because if we choose someone like Obama who was amazing at giving speeches, and then he gets in and goes, oh, no, no, I didn't mean systemic change. I meant a tiny amount of change. We won't be able to survive it. No, we need someone who's gonna actually go for big change, systemic change, and mean it. Yeah, I also went from Republican to through libertarian and Democrat. It's the same thing, like I can point two times and that punctuated that kind of development rather than what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is doing there, which honestly, and I don't mean this as a compliment, kind of reminded me of Kamala Harris when she was on the presidential campaign and when she would do these interviews where you just kind of laugh things off and you're trying to come off charming, but maybe it doesn't really land. My hope is that maybe Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a meeting where they talk about this strategy moving forward because, again, I think she's great otherwise. the one off. Yeah. All right, so you know what, we're have a little bit of issue with time. So let's just skip the next break and go to the next story. Okay, so let's watch this guys. That's the panic behind a new fear sweeping across America. People are freaked out about surveillance from our employers, our nanny cams, and our phones watching our every move. And right now, this anxiety is being taken out with electric saws in cans of spray paint on tools used by law enforcement to keep us all safe. The target, locked safety cameras. So both the left wing and the right wing are pissed off about flock cameras because this big brother looking at us 24 seven and watching and judging and trying to find anything that you did wrong. Besides which there is an angle here where foreign government might want to watch in as well. So who steps in but free press, the publication led by Bari Weiss who He's very pro surveillance, very pro Israel, saying flock cameras are great, you guys shouldn't worry about it. Elliot, tell us all about it. Yeah, great stuff, and here's more. In upstate New York, someone cut down to flock safety camera with an electric saw. In Oakland, California, another was covered in paint. And in Idaho, someone rammed one with their truck. And in good old Florida, a man just sits in his lawn chair with a cardboard held up for the lens. Since January, roughly 23 cities have canceled their contracts or shut off their block camera over fourth amendment. There's even an open source intelligence website, DeepFlock, that's finding these cameras so people know exactly where to vandalize them. They're supposed to actually under attack.
the system help lowly 10,000 missing labels. About 27 people a day or about one every hour. Over 40% of agencies that flock help recover over half of the stolen vehicles in their jurisdiction. In Indiana, an infant abducted at a shopping center was found in under two hours. In Ohio, a missing girl was located in under 30 minutes. And this is the tool that people are treating like the enemy. It is fair to have concerns by how companies use and track our data, but that's not what these cameras are for. To be blunt, they're not interested in you. unless you're a kidnapper, a thief, or someone who intends to do harm. Okay, well, I guess there you have it. Flock cameras are actually really cool, even though both Democrats and Republicans seem to think otherwise. Cenk, initial thoughts, before we get into more of it? Yeah, she's like, it's only here to help you. We've caught a couple of criminals with it, is it? Because we've got more here, but I really want to get to the Larry Ellison clip. Okay, so Larry Ellison is the guy who founded Oracle. He's David Ellison's father, and he financed all of David Ellison's media purchases. One of them was a free press, another one was CBS, and now they're trying to purchase CNN and Warner Brothers. And Larry Ellison was quite candid about how they're going to surveil you at every turn. Let's watch that. Securing schools, we think we can absolutely lock down schools so that. dramatically reduce the case of anyone being on campus that doesn't belong on campus. And immediately alert, second someone pulls out a gun, immediately alert, use AI cameras to immediately recognize that. We have drones. We just, if there's something going on in a shopping, and I'll stop, a drone goes out there, get there way faster than a police car. There's never reason for, by the way, high speed chases. You shouldn't have high speed chases between cars. You just have a drone follow the car. I mean, it's very, very simple. And then new generation of autonomous drones. Spotting forest fires. A heatblot drone, drone spots the forest fire. And the drone then drops down and looks around to see if there's a human being near that heat bloom and someone else either had an unattended campfire that caught fire or it's or it's arson. We can detect all of that. That's all done autonomously with AI. So he went on in that same speech to talk about how we're going to look into everything that all the citizens are doing. I mean, he talked about the mall there, he talked about schools, he talked about if you're in the woods, we're gonna find you.
Coincidentally, Larry Ellison also happens to be the largest donor to the Israeli defense forces. He thinks that he was doing such a bang-up job that he gave them $16 million one time. And because of drop-site news we know in his private emails, he talked to the Israeli ambassador about giving $5 million to Marco Rubio because he had been pre-approved for Israel and that he would help Israel all along the way. And so this guy who says, oh, yeah. Israel is our greatest ally and we should fund Israel to no end. And we should merge our military technologies now saying we should put cameras and drones everywhere and watch all Americans to make sure they follow the rules and commands of the people in charge. That's my sense of it. Yeah, also, I mean, you're talking about an issue that encroaches on people's privacy. You're talking about a company that has over. over I believe a billion dollars in venture capital and the way they plan on making that back is they sell folks data. So if you're driving around and just mining your own business, that information is packaged and sold. They also, because it's a national network, it bypasses a lot of like sanctuary cities where they have or states where they have laws where they don't allow that kind of interagency communication. This does away with all of that. And it says, no, we're just going to actually, A, sell your information and B, we're going to do it. without you, whether you like it or not and whether or not it's against the law. And in addition to that, there's the reality that they do occasionally catch people and they are seen as a net positive by a lot of folks. I think it's a really important thing for everyone to question whether or not it's worth it and whether or not this is a problem in search of a solution or excuse me, a solution in search of a problem because it seems that way to me. But we'll see how it all pans out. Yeah, so the right wing as opposed to it because they're like, don't tread on me. This is big government and the jackbooted thugs tracking me at all times. No, you don't need to know where I'm going to dinner or to lunch or who I'm hanging out with. And by the way, have technologies like this been abused in the past? Of course, people that are involved in a divorce and one of them is a cop. One of them is works at the flock cameras and et cetera. And then they want to track their hubby. happens all the time. They started doing warrantless wiretapping. They immediately started wiretapping our soldiers and listening in on phone sex. And on the left, we have a ton of issues with it as well, including sometimes used to track if women are going outside the state to get an abortion. So now we're just monitoring you at all times and big brothers up your ass with this stuff. So now free press is like, way to go. Oh, yes, that's right, we're going to surveil you. Oh, no, no, it's not for Israel, even though Free Press, Ellison, and all these surveillance folks are massively in favor of Israel. And by the way, what did they do with those unmanned drones in Israel? They turn some of them into kamikaze drones, and then they dive in and bomb the place that they're surveilling. And then they use others to assassinate doctors and children. So yay, big brother sounds so nice. We're here. Georgia will call it. It is 1984, except it's a little like 2026. Yeah. And it's creepy, by the way. They're creepy. That's not as important of a point, but it is a point. All right. Yes. All right. Elliot, you're awesome. Check him out on Rebel HQ. I'm coming right back with The Revolution. Stay right here.
Guys, one of the things that I want to do on this show is talk you through understanding how the game is played, right? We've got the establishment in the system, and then we've got the rebel forces, which is all of us out here in the populous woods, as I call it, right? And so one of the games that the mainstream media plays is smear by proxy. So today I was on Pierce Morgan show and I got a good populists that were on that panel along with me, Dave Smith, Vinny Oshana, Lindy Lee. You know, I've got issues with different points of view that they have on a whole bunch of issues. But we agree generally speaking that, hey, represent the average guy, not the donors, American sovereignty and the wars, defund Israel. But nevertheless, I thought that they were falling into a trap, the trap of. Let's eliminate each other one by one while we don't take out the establishment, but we fall into the trap of doing smear by proxy against people on the anti-war side and cancel them. And so all of a sudden you just eliminate dissenting voices all over the place. So we had some of those debates. And I had Boston Musif on the show. earlier today and he said he didn't even know that Hassan had clarified those comments just a couple of days later right here on the Young Turks and oftentimes when you see them talking about this on cable news or mainstream media they don't clarify sometimes they do to be fair I have seen half of them clarified and the other half don't bother to tell you no you know he actually explained those comments so we have that clip and we wanted to share it with you guys you said America deserved 9-11 did you mean that No, obviously not, especially considering the fact that while that is a very viral quote that is going around currently, if those people were at least. even remotely charitable or cared about the actual truth of what I was talking about. They would understand that within context, I was simply referencing the fact that all of the foreign policy decisions and our arming of insurgent groups in the region and our efforts in destabilizing the Middle East have a direct consequence, a boomerang effect, rather if you will, in causing 9-11. Of course, every part of what I advocate for is against violence. I abhorre violence, I think it's awful. So that clip exists and they relatively know about it. I don't know that every single reporter or anchor knows about it, but certainly a lot of them do. But half of them just choose to ignore it and to not give that context. Now, for example, Pearson showed that clip. And to be fair to him, he might not have known about it. But I think that almost everybody on that panel would agree with what Hassan just said.
Three out of the four were trying hard to cancel him and take out another dissenting voice. Now, they don't say it as cancel culture. They say you're allowed to say whatever you want, but we're pushing back. Yes, but remember, the point of this cancel culture at this point against Hassan is not about Hassan. It's to try to cancel the politicians. who are campaigning with him, including Abdul El-Sayed. And why do they wanna do that? Not because they're concerned about Hassan's comments and whether Abdul believes in them. Abdul just said over the weekend that he thought they were dumb, and Hassan thought that they were dumb. And that's why he took it back immediately. And so this isn't about that. It's about eliminating your opponents through smear by proxy. And then again, it happened with me and Bernie in 2020, and it's the same exact pattern here. So now that's your background. Let's show you some of what happened on Pierce. You guys have never talked about, you've never talked about why he's popular in the first place. He's popular because he's anti-war. He's popular because he wants to stick up for the average American. And he might have a different way of doing it than you guys do. But he's not establishment. He's not corrupt. He's for money out of politics. He's for all the things that are super popular as well. And yes, Dave, you know, we have this agreement over for Medicare and higher minimum wage poll at 65% or higher. Those are super popular positions. And he hates America. Chank. He hates America. So you see, look, Vinnie agrees with all those positions that I just stated except Medicare for all, right, when it comes to foreign policy and war. And all of us agree, hey, end the endless wars and Hassan agrees. But there's an ally that they're trying to knock out. Why? Because they triggered Vinny. And so they got Vinny to think like, oh, he hates America. So I have to be against them. And I have to be against the candidates that he's supporting. And part of what I would say to Vinnie, if we're having a, you know, a calm conversation is, so what? So he doesn't love America in your mind as much as you do. I'm not sure anybody loves America as much as I do. In fact, I was over at Haasas yesterday and he was saying, you and Abdul referring to me and Abdul El-Sayed, he's like, man, you guys are so John Cornyn in the way that you're over-the-top patriotic. Okay, guilty is charged. So, but we're not getting kicked out of the party and there's no reason to kick out of Hassan from the party from the national conversation or anything else. So yeah, I'm, I'm more patriotic. So what? So what? And by the way, if you challenged Hassan on it, my guess, I can't speak for him, I don't want to speak for him, even though I'm put into that position all the time. And he's also put into the position of speaking for me all the time. We're not the same people, okay? And in fact, we have these huge debates. We've had it here at Young Turks. We've had it on his show.
If you challenge them on that, my guess is he would tell you all the things that America is doing wrong, which is true, right? And we all agree, yes, and we try to perfect that. We try to make it better. We try to get on the right path. And then he would tell you that there's a million things that he really loves about America, including what we both get to do, which is exercise our freedom of speech. And you don't get that in every country. And that's a blessing, et cetera. But most importantly. Don't let them distract you with these tiny little statements that are not pertinent to any actual issues we're discussing now. They bring up those statements to try to make sure that you eliminate candidates who will actually get you out of the wars. Don't fall into that trap. All right, here's another clip from Pierce. I am not going to be in the same party with a son, I can tell you that right now. If he becomes a force in a Democratic Party, I'm out of here. Is the Democratic Party, is it losing itself and therefore people like you? I don't think so. I mean, we have an idiotic wing of the party that embrace what I would call based on what you guessed the last sentence. An extinct level stupidity and woken. But thank God that it seems that Mr. Al-Sahid is beyond that. Thank God. Welcome to the fold, sir. And we had this little unpleasant. chapter that was embraced by really stupid people, some who identify with the Democratic Party that has been squished and is now a part of history. And we should keep it that way.
So we show you that because, all right, okay, we're starting to get to a place where even James Carvel is figuring it out. Oh, this is to eliminate Abdul El-Sayed. And wait a minute, he's a Democratic nominee for Senate in Michigan. And then when peers asked him about Abdul El-Sayed little bit later in that show, Carvel said that he is definitely going to vote for Abdul El-Sayed. prefers him greatly to a clown like Rogers, who's been working with Big Pharma and ripping us off. Okay, good, good. Super happy to hear it. And so if even Carvel's waking up to that, I hope that we all wake up to it. And whether it's on the left, center, or right, and by the way, again, to the people on the left. who are busy canceling Marjorie Taylor Greene and Joe Kent and Thomas Massie. Oh, Thomas Massie met with Flynn and I hate Flynn. I got no love for Mike Flynn. Is Thomas Massie in favor of getting out of the wars? Yes, releasing the absc files, yes, defunding Israel, yes. So I don't have to agree with him on abortion or Flynn, okay? And you don't have to agree with Hassan on his love or lack of love for America or where he is on a scale of 1 to 10 on how much she wants the bear hug America, okay? So you don't have to agree on that. You just have to agree issue by issue on the things that we work on. So don't cancel the Marjorie Taylor Greene and all those guys. And you don't have to vote for them. You don't have to vote for Hassan. You don't have to vote for Tucker Carlson. We just have to work together on anti-war candidates. And by the way, look, I'd be surprised if that M.T. Cheek contingent, you know, said to vote for Mike Rogers over Abdullah Said. In fact, I'm already sure that Marjorie Taylor Greene is not saying that. I saw one of her posts online saying about how Mike Rogers was a sellout. And now at this point, when they're even helping anti-war candidates on the left in some ways by pointing out the corruption of the Republican candidate. That's amazing. That's awesome. Take yes for an answer. So I would tell James Carvel, hey, Hassan is helping bringing in young people to this party. Yeah, there's a bunch of issues you don't agree with him on. There's a bunch of issues I don't agree with him on. But he's bringing more people into the tent. And so, well, let's fight on the issues we don't agree on, but still stay in the same tent and try to win elections. And now it looks like Carvel's beginning to head in that direction. And then I would tell my friends on the left, Hey, don't try to kick out Joe Kent or Glenn Greenwald or whoever else out of our tent as they're being great fighters against the war in Iran. And honestly, way better fighters against the war in Iran and against Israel's influence in America than most of the Democratic politicians. I mean, who has fought more against the Iran war? An average corporate Democrat or Joe Kent?
Not close. An average establishment Democrat or somebody in Democratic leadership were Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie and Tucker Carlson and Dave Smith and even Vinny Oshana. Not close. They've all fought tooth and nail against this war and against Israel's influence control over America. Do I see establishment Democrats doing that? Democratic politicians fighting justice hard for that? No. In fact, somebody earlier today just said to me, and it's a great point, I think it wasn't one of our members. They wrote in earlier in the show and said that Democratic politicians on TV are attacking Hasan Piker and candidates like Abdul El-Sayed more than they're attacking Trump or their Iran war. That's nuts. That's nuts. Now, of course, that's nuts if you care about, you know, our side winning and our policy is winning. But if you secretly want to help. Israel or the corporate PACs and you don't really care who wins a Democrat or Republican as long as the Uniparty wins, then you would do exactly what those Democratic politicians are doing on TV. Instead of attacking the other side, you'd attack your own side to make sure that the Republicans win because you secretly agree with the Republicans. On all the corporate packs, and that's why you never pass any of our policies, and yes, on foreign governments as well. So guys, let's all wake up to the games that are being played. Don't get played. Don't get driven to distraction by what someone said. Remember, any corporate politician, whether they're Democrat or Republican, and almost all the Republicans fit into this category other than Thomas Massie. What's much more important is that they have an alliance with Benjamin Netanyahu. Benjamin Netanyahu hasn't just said terrible things, he's done terrible things, including killing 23,000 kids. And we're in an era in America where we're in a full mask off time. Because corporate media never asked anyone to denounce Benjamin Netanyahu, even though he is. a verifiable monster, a guy who committed a genocide, a war criminal, and yet no one's asked to denounce him. But oh, a streamer said something wrong on the left or the right. You have to cancel them and every politician they've ever interacted with. Yeah, that is a dirty, underhanded trick by the establishment. If you're on the left or the right and you're a populist, do not fall into that trap. And I'm consistent on it, whether it applies to the right or the left. People I agree with or people I even disagree with. It's still a trap.
And we need to make sure that we wisen up to those traps so we don't fall into them. And we stay united enough to win on those incredibly important policy positions. We regain American sovereignty and have our representatives represent us instead of the donor class. All right.
