Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez no longer so fresh, no longer so faze. But now the era parent to Bernie Sanders announced she was running for president in 2008. She did so, not by announcing formally, but by doing two things. One, she broadcast freezing her eggs on Instagram. I know we'll get into it. And two, she laughed off woke one, woke 1.0, like it was all no biggie. You know, not a big deal. Welcome to the 28 Democratic presidential campaign, where biology is an obstacle to your happiness. And we're substituting third worldism for woke 1.0. We'll get into what the hell Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is doing. What two is plus Sophie Cunningham being mugged on the court and then being called racist in the bargain. This is the Ben Shapiro.

So yesterday, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York announced her run for the presidency. Now, you'll remember that basically she's only in Congress because she won a primary against Joe Crowley. She, of course, is one of the bluest districts in America, but she has wooed Bernie Sanders for the past several years, and she is indeed his heir apparent. Well, yesterday, she basically announced for the presidency. She didn't do so by coming out and saying she's forming an exploratory committee or anything, but she did two critical things that shows she wants to run. One, she announced, first off, that she would be indefinitely delaying her reproduction by freezing her eggs. And then she went on national TV and explained all that, and also explained that woke 1.0 just went a little too far. It was a little crazy. So let's start at the beginning with the public and very weird announcement that she was freezing her eggs. And yes. We're allowed to say it's weird. Okay, it is. You freezing your eggs. That is your decision. Obviously, we live in a country in which this is not against the law. But you deciding to insta, your egg freezing is a weird thing. Is it not? Here she was explaining that this was all just a choice, you see, a choice to feel more in control and feel empowered. So I'm aware that just by me choosing to not keep this private. There may be a consequence. But you know what? I'm okay with that. This is a choice that I am making to feel more in control of my life. And if people want to make assumptions about my decision, let them make those assumptions. I feel... empowered to make this choice. I think it's a very privileged position that I've been able to be able to make. That's bait. Now, we're going to take debate because we're going to explain what the hell she's doing, but that's clearly bait, right? This is all girl bossing. Real girl bossing is when you inject yourself with hormones on Instagram Live to start a process that will cost legitimately tens of thousands of dollars. to take control of your own life because biology is unfair and mean. And if a man comments, then that is because he is sexist in some way. Now again, she's the one who chose to make this public. Okay, it's an obvious trap and this is the game that she is playing. That's the game, right? The game is to post that, wait for people to comment on it, and then claim that they're sexist for commenting on it. We all know the game. It's a really stupid game. But she's also doing it publicly because, again, she is saying something kind of important about American society. So, again, she injected herself with hormones on Instagram Live for the egg freezing. Again, people do this privately. Why are you doing this in front of millions of people? Maybe I should start an ASMR egg freezing channel.

I think they've banned those on YouTube. So much fun! So I'm basically dissolving this powder. Wow, so much fun to lives from your medical procedures. All right. Yeah, well, she doesn't have to do this for medical reasons. She doesn't. Don't be weird about this. He's not being driven by infertility. Even though I know all of you won't be. Don't be weird about this. You're being weird about this. Why are you talking to me? Why am I watching this? This is not, this is none of my business. Why are you doing this? You're being weird. You're being weird. This is being weird. This is how she announces her presidential run. That's what she is doing. And then she suggested that this is all because of men, you see, because men run for office and people don't wonder if they want to, well, number one, most men running for office, like higher office, already have a family because they're mostly in their 40s and they've married for a while and they have families. JD Vance has four children. That is the person presumably should be running against. Most men, again, also, like if they have families, they have families. If they don't, they don't. There's some women who don't have kids. If they don't, they don't. Again, turning this into like an aspect of girl bossing is a weird move. It's weird. But this is just not something that men deal with. You know, men run for office or, frankly, they interview for jobs. And people don't think in the back of their mind, okay, this guy's running for office. How old is he? Oh, well, is. Is he going to want to start a family or is he even, or if he does or if he doesn't, has he made a choice of, you know, people don't go down those rabbit holes and fixate on them for men in terms of their decision, the way that they do for women. Well. I mean, it's not a fixation. I mean, like, women work differently than men. Nobody is asking whether a man is going to get pregnant during his campaign because men, contra the left, cannot get pregnant. Now, again, I don't have a problem. She wants to get pregnant during her campaign. She can. My wife did full on medical residency multiple years of it while being pregnant. We had full on three children while she was in medical training and then medical residency. And she took some breaks, but, like, you can do those things. And by the way, the number one feminist thing she could do. If she really wanted to be totally feminist is she would run for president and she would be pregnant at the same time because then she could say, okay, why are you bothering me just because I'm pregnant? Why is that a problem? Okay, right now she is rapidly rising, by the way, in the Kalshi odds. Cal she's one of our sponsors. What she's doing is objectively weird. That is a weird thing to do. Not the freezing of the eggs part. We'll get to the morality of all that in a moment. The public announcement is weird. The live streaming of it is strange. It is a weird thing to do. Are we allowed to notice? That's a weird thing to do. It's a weird thing to do. Live streaming any medical procedure is a weird thing to do. And of course, the only reason to do it is we'll get to is to raise awareness of the medical procedure. You remember Katie Couric years ago did this with like a colonoscopy. And the idea was to get people to do colonoscopies. Well, the reason she is doing this, as she will explain later, is to normalize doing this. But. Remember, the left's entire mantra, it just shows you when the left says right to privacy. They never mean, leave us alone. We just want our right to privacy. They mean, we want you to approve of every decision we make and also probably to imitate it in public policy. This has been true for decades with the left. Is there anything less private than what she just did? It's why it's uncomfortable. It should be private. If you're going to do that, do it privately. But the my body, my business, you know, what are you even, what are even noticing? You put it on Instagram for millions of, and then she's even doing it there. And then people are probably going to talk about this. Yeah, that's why you're doing it. If you didn't want people to talk about it, I have a really easy solution. Don't put it on camera and live stream it. Any so-called right to privacy goes right out the window when you film yourself injecting hormones into your ovaries on Instagram and then post it for millions of people to see. So.

This gets to why is she doing this publicly? Well, obviously, number one, because she's running for president. This is her announcement that she's putting natural biology on hold in order to pursue the presidency. That's what it is. That is clearly what this is. That is why she is doing it, which, again, is actually kind of weirdly sexist because theoretically, she could pursue the presidency while actually just having the natural way babies. She could do that, but she's not. So she said this is the best decision for her family. But that's a weird kind of call because here's the thing. She's 36 years old. She's perfectly healthy. She's been in a relationship with this dude that she is not married to for a reason no one can discern for the last five years. She could just go have a baby the fun and easy way. Okay. But instead she's choosing IVF, right, freezing the eggs and then later in vitro fertilization. IVF is really expensive. It is time-consuming. It is tough on the body. For a healthy woman of 36, let's say that you want to do it the old-fashioned natural way. The chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby within one year of starting to try is somewhere between 75 and 80%. Now, let's say you harvest that same 36-year-old woman's eggs, should probably be between 8 and 12 eggs. The chances of a live birth per IVF round is around 40%. And the process is really, really not pleasant. Okay, it isn't. It may be necessary for people who are infertile. We'll get to, you know, the morality of it in a second because, you know, frankly, I kind of see all sides of this particular issue. But we should not pretend that the process is super simple. This is something the left likes to do, by the way, with medical procedures that they find politically useful, right? Transing the kids, medically simply, just as a little snip, snip, you're done. Turns out none of that's true. Well, it turns out that egg harvesting and egg implantation, it's not all that pleasant. Step one, which takes eight to 12 days, ovarian stimulation. where you have to give yourself hormone injections. That's what she's doing right there. They're usually going to dropins, which are FSAH, that stimulates the ovaries to develop multiple follicles rather than a single follicle, right? Because normally you release one egg a month. Well, now you're releasing many, many eggs. And then you have a bunch of ultrasound and blood test appointments to monitor follicle growth in hormone levels. And then you have to take another medication to stop you from ovulating before you can grab the eggs. And then there is the so-called trigger shot. That's step three. That's a trigger injection of HCH or a GNRH agonist, depending on the protocol. And that induces maturation of the egg. And then egg retrieval is scheduled like 36 hours later. And then there's the actual egg retrieval, which requires like a full anesthetized procedure. where the physician uses a transvaginal ultrasound guided needle to enter the follicles, aspirate the contents, and then the embryology lab examines the fluid, identifies the eggs. Right, there could be more follicles than eggs typically there are. And then there's a certain number of mature eggs, and then there are the eggs that are not mature. And that's just the harvesting. Later, when you do the implantation, that means that there's a process of egg selection. Let's say there were 10 eggs harvested. Now you get eight that were mature. Maybe six get fertilized. Maybe three end up as blastocysts and maybe one or two end up as what are typically healthy embryos, you ployed embryos. And then the woman has to take estrogen and progesterone. Let's say that she's going to delay this 10 years. And let's say she has gone through some form of menopause. So that means that she has to simulate ovulation. Again, the reason I'm spelling all this out is because it's not easy and it's not cheap and it is not just another option in life. So.

She can do this because she's 36, independently wealthy. She's privileged, right? She says she has the privilege, which is true. It's a rich people thing, typically speaking. The question is, why isn't she just doing it the natural way? Why isn't she doing it the woman of the people way, right? You know, like 99% of the humans. Again, she's not doing this for medical reasons. She is not doing this because she is having fertility issues or anything like this. It kind of makes a mockery of those who actually do have fertility issues and are pursuing this process for medical reasons. And this is not a decision to feel empowered, unless by empowered, we somehow mean that biology itself is an obstacle to living your fullest life, which again is a left-wing idea. The left-wing idea that biology itself, when you're not talking about actual unhealth, you're not talking about an actual biological condition, that biology itself like normal maturation is unfair and cruel, this is something that the left truly believes. This is why they treat puberty for kids as some sort of biological obstacle. It's why they are now treating pregnancy as some sort of biological barrier for women to overcome. By the way, again, can't think of anything more anti-woman than the idea that pregnancy is a biological burden on women. That is something horrible to be overcome. It is a superpower. Okay, I watched my wife just do it. It is a superpower. It is unbelievable. It is an incredible gift. And to meaning that so that you can compete in a man's world. I don't even understand how that's feminist. I think you have a better feminist case for pregnant women should be able to run for president. Then women should have to put off their reproduction for years and years and years and years in order to run for president. What she's doing is something else. She is trying to valorize herself for putting off pregnancy indefinitely, expensively, and more dangerously than the natural way. with, of course, many more questions to be asked about IVS itself. And that brings us to the second reason she's doing this. One is she wants to run for president. She doesn't want you asking about if she's going to get pregnant while she's running. So she's... preemptively saying that she's not going to get pregnant, right? That's what that means. All right, coming up, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she wants to normalize the conversation about freezing your eggs or something, which is a weird thing to do. There are a lot of sort of open and interesting moral questions about IVF in general on a moral level. I actually tend to be more Catholic than Jewish on this issue because, again, Catholics tend to be very much black or white. This is just a thing we don't do because the idea is once you start separating off the process of making a baby from the baby making, then you end up carving up the process and bad things result. That's sort of the Catholic idea. There's a little bit more play in the rules with regard to Judaism. I'm generally against IVF because of the inherent problem of creating human life with potential and then discarding it, which is what happens is a process of IDF. But again, I certainly understand and sympathize with the counter argument that without IVF, certain babies just won't be born. Again, two things can be true at once. I can be genuinely overjoyed a child exists who otherwise wouldn't exist while simultaneously being saddened by the morally questionable methods used to bring a child into existence. It's entirely possible to wish that a specific decision had not been made while still being grateful for the results of that decision. That is a thing you can do. But I'm not totally Catholic on this sort of thing because, again, if a husband and a wife are struggling with infertility and choose to create, say, a single embryo to carry to turmoil or implant all the embryos, I don't personally see a huge moral problem with that. But none of that is what's happening here. This is a perfectly optional procedure she is pursuing because she wants to pursue her presidential run. And she is doing this publicly because she is making a statement that has society-wide consequences. Biology itself is unfair. Seriously, the system that has God created, the cosmic system itself, nature is unfair. And that's why she is doing it publicly because the personal is political. Now that phrase, the personal is political. That was originally coined by this feminist named Carol Hannish back in 1969. And her point was that your personal choices are inherently political. Abortion is personal, she says, but it's actually political. And there's truth to that. Because the personal can remain personal when it's personal, but when it becomes a societal standard, it now becomes political. And the left has done this with every single supposed privacy issue, every single one. How fast did we move from? Abortion is between you and your doctor to shout your abortion. We need to encourage abortion as a form of birth control. How fast do we move from? Why can't you leave us alone in our bedrooms to we demand government benefits for what we do in our bedrooms? How fast do we move from? We just want treatment for gendered dysphoric youth to we just want to teach your kids that boys can be girls and then we want to penalize you in the workplace for saying the opposite. Well, that's what this is. So what is the political point that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is making here? Well, again, she keeps saying it. She's making the point pretty obviously. Biology is unfair. Womanhood is inherently unfair. And that there is no moral issue with fertilizing embryos you will discard or delaying having kids or any of that.

And what does that do? Well, it promotes a casual attitude toward reproduction, as if there are no societal consequences or even personal consequences for just hitting an indefinite pause button on biological reality. And of course, all of this glosses over the fact this is an incredibly expensive, physically demanding, medically much riskier procedure than natural processes that is nowhere near a guarantee of a healthy child. But we're framing this now as a positive empowered good, which creates another permission structure for young women to delay motherhood based on the idea that biology is somehow unfair or sexist and that this is, you know, just a really, really good first option. I don't even a backup option, like a good first option. The biggest problem in our society is that we have adult men and women who are putting off the key choices in life. That is a major problem in our society, marriage, having kids, we're putting it off. That's a real problem. But again, it isn't to the left because the idea of the left for generations at this point has been to replace actual biology and actual consequences with presumptively at some point government interventionism, which again, this is where this is going to go. I promise this is going to go to. She's going to say, I can't afford IVF, but you can't afford it. Everyone needs to be able to do IVF. This was the left's biggest promise. And by the way, the only promise the left has ever kept. The promise to free people of the consequences of decision making. The left promised sex without consequences and then built an entire governmental structure to secure that. And now the left is promising that you can basically alter your biology without consequences. They're going to do the same thing. That's why Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is doing this. And to talk about this, there will be now a blowback, right? Because if you take issue with her personal decision, a decision that she is announcing to the entire world with the intent of making it public and political, then she will portray it as anti-woman. But once again, it seems to me far more anti-woman to proclaim that womanhood itself, meaning like getting pregnant having a baby for healthy people, must be delayed indefinitely in order to compete with the men. First of all, it's not true. We all have to make all sorts of decisions bound by reality. It's not government's job to fix reality. And struggling against reality, you are bound to lose. A society in which women indefinitely put off reproduction for career purposes. is a worse society, is a society that does not function properly. A society in which children are viewed as accoutrements and not as the core of the future, like the most important thing you do, is a worse society. And it is not the fault of men that men's biological contribution to baby making is far less time consuming and rigorous and difficult than women's. That is not a man's fault. And it is not a woman's shortcoming. That that is true for women. It's a woman's superpower. A society in which IVF is not a medical solution to a fertility problem, but an option for rich ladies who just don't want the inconvenience of reality is a worse society. Again, this is all part and parcel of a broader agenda, rebelling against reality by assuming that if we just fix reality, utopia is right there. And that brings us to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's second big presidential announcement. She says, Woke 1, Woke 1.0, it's so over. It's no longer like cool or even fetch or anything like that. Francesca Hong has made clear her present stances to her electorate. Yeah, she's moved away from a lot of that. Right, she's moved away from it. And I have a local city councilman that has this...

saying woke one was crazy. And I think that what's important is that we have to assess what... Was it? I mean, did the movement go too far with some of those positions? I mean, you briefly supported the idea of defunding the police. Well, you know, I think that... During this time, and especially during COVID, there was a huge opening of the Overton window. We were shut down. There was some of the highest unemployment rates that we have seen because of those shutdowns. And I think that the doors were really open in trying to entertain any and every policy that was going to get us to a better place. Okay, let's start with this. Shut up. like really just shut it just shut it you did this and you don't get to blow it off oh you know it's just like a weird thing you know it was a weird time and we did woke and it was like it just had some like some issues like oh my god like oh my god like but now like it's different like oh my god November 7th, 2021, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, quote, one dangerous aspect of thinking there is a woke problem is that Democratic chances for reelection or majorities in House Senate and White House rely on the racial justice issue of voting rights. Dems distancing from racial justice makes protection of voting rights less likely ensuring losses. She was defending woke all the way through, quote, woke is a term. Pundits are now using as a derogatory euphemism for civil rights and justice. Making up a woke problem results in putting civil and voting rights on the back burner. In a year, state legislatures are planning out GOP majorities and voter suppression. That's dangerous. People think Fox News is just about indoctrinating right-wingers, but it's also about conditioning Dems on what to run away from. Framing racial justice as controversial is key to delaying the protection of voting rights and others until it's too late. We shouldn't indulge it. So again, 2021, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. woke and woke and woke again. But now woke 1. Oh, man, I can't believe it did it. Oh, my God. Okay, so just let's be clear that woke had actual human consequences, including a gigantic ass homicide spike that happened during woke. This is a chart sourced from CDC statistics. that shows the gigantic spike in murder in the United States after George Floyd, for example. And, of course, we saw $2 billion in property damage, and we saw a vast spate of careers destroyed and lives ruined by Woke 1.0. So her kind of just dismissing it, oh, woke, yeah, it's a funny, silly thing we did when we were younger, when we were the youngens. Okay, but I want to get to the difference between Woke 1.0 and Woke 2.0. When she says Woke 1 is dead, she means Woke 2 is on the way. So what is the distinction? Okay, so woke 1.0, first of all, again, building on the, normally when you build a 2.0, that means that you're building on the bones of 1.0, right? If you are talking about the Apple 2.0 version, you mean the better version of Apple 1.0. So if you think woke sucked, you probably shouldn't build 2.0 of it. But what was 1.0? The chief proposition of woke 1.0 was that racism lay at the core of American society.

The system was born in racism, bred in racism, uncorrectable, and the system needed to be torn down. It was the 1619 project, right? America was born in racism. It was born from slavery. Now, Woke 1.0 was originally crafted during the Obama administration. It was crafted in 2012, 2013, when Obama decided to move away from the unifying messages of 2008 and instead argue that America was inherently racist, its systems were inherently racist, and this is how you got Ferguson, and this how you got Trevon Martin, and this is how you got the George Floyd scenario later. Again, it was metastasized and fully unleashed in 2020. And it cost billions of dollars and probably thousands of lives. And it was a massive disaster for America. Now, what was it popular with the form of woke 1.0? It was very popular basically with white liberal Americans and black Americans, but nobody else. So if you think back to the faces of woke 1.0, that would be people like Nicole Hannah-Jay Jones or Ibram X. Kendi. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was kind of an awkward, weird fellow traveler in woke 1.0. Now, the problem for the left is that Americans ended up rejecting woke 1.0. That is because, one, Americans don't believe that American ideas are founded on racism. We don't think that declaration and constitution are rooted in racism. And two, woke 1.0 is kind of self-refuting. If the idea is that American society and Americans in general are white supremacist, Americans don't believe that about themselves. Right? We know too many people of other races. We can look around in our society and see that racism is not the predominant factor. And so at a certain point, most Americans figured that it was BS. And that included not just white Americans, but also Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans. Like the reason woke died is because woke was taken to the logical extreme, which is that everything was discrimination. Okay, so woke 1.0. It ran into a problem. So what is woke 2.0? This is the real question. So if woke 1.0 argued, that racism was at the root of the system. Woke 2.0 argues that capitalism is at the root of the system and capitalism is the problem. So it's not that capitalism is an outgrowth of racism. Racism is an outgrowth of capitalism. So Woke 1.0 argued that free markets arose from white supremacy. This was an explicit argument made by the 1619 project. that white supremacy undergirded free markets. Woke 2.0 argues that everything bad comes from capitalism, right, that white supremacy and imperialism and colonialism, these were all results of free markets and property rights. Now, Bernie said this back in 2016, and he was kind of mocked for it because the idea was he didn't get the racial struggle, but now it's back. But the face is not white guy Bernie or titularly Jewish guy Bernie. Now there is a different face. Think of the faces of Woke 2.0. Who are the faces of Woke 2.0? That'd be Zohran Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed, Hasan Piker. Woke 1.0 was Robin DeAngelo and Ibrahimax Kendi. American society is racist. Everything is fruit of that poisonous tree. Woke 2.0 is Edward Said, the former Columbia University professor and professional liar, who said that America's failure is that we are basically a corrupt empire. We are a corrupt empire whose capitalism corrupted the earth and everything that happens everywhere else on earth that's bad and at home is due to our terrible free market system. And who better to represent America as a corrupt empire than victims of that corrupt empire, people from outside America who can come back to America and tell us what we do wrong. Because we live over here, right? Things are kind of okay. But if you can come from outside and explain to us that the reason that we have shortcomings in our life,

is the same as they had shortcomings, but their shortcomings were so much worse than ours, but they both come from the same source, which is not white supremacy. It's just capitalism. That's sexy. Because again, woke 1.0 forced Americans to say, am I racist or am I not? That was the question you were supposed to ask, right? That was the Matt Walsh question. Am I racist? Woke 2.0 is, is American capitalism inherently corrupting and bad? Is America's free market system, is the West's system of freedoms and free markets, inherently imperialistic, colonialist, genocidal, and racist? But that comes from its free market private property rights system. This is why the key issue of Woke 1.0 was George Floyd or Ferguson, Missouri. And the key issue for Woke 2.0 is Gaza. Right? This is why you're sitting around going like, why the hell are we talking about the Gaza Strip? You know, it's a tiny strip of land. It's very far away, like 8,000 miles away. Why? Well, the answer is because Woke 2.0 is about the idea. Everything bad that happens on planet Earth must be the result of terrible Westernism. Westernism is responsible for genocide, right? That's the false word they use about Gaza. So you have to ignore all the context, all the history, all the reality, but you can get there. Now, again, Woke 2.0 is actually nothing new. It's actually Woke 0.0, right? Because it's just pure uncut Marxism. If you go far back enough to the beginning of the 20th century, one of the key arguments of the post-Marxism, because again, there's sort of Marx as expressed in the Communist Manifesto or Das Kapital. And then there is the sort of rejiggering of Marx when it turned out that he was wrong about everything. So Marx made a prediction. His prediction was that capitalism would impoverished workers. It leads to the immiseration of the population. And it turns out that was totally false, that actually capitalism raised wages, capitalism made better stuff, and materially people were better off because of capitalism. So then the left had to do a sort of rejiggering and reinterpretation of Marx, and so they did this at the beginning of the 20th century. A Marxist named J.A. Hobson argued famously in 1902 that imperialism was an outgrowth of capitalism. He argued that basically the excess wealth and savings accumulated under capitalism led to imperialist profit seeking abroad. So there was too much money in the West, so we had to somehow spend that money somewhere, so we had to conquer other places. Now, that's total crap. It's nonsense. But it was, in fact, crucial to sort of the Marxist movement in the early 20th century. Vladimir Putin Lenin. wrote about it explicitly in his most famous early work titled imperialism the highest stage of capitalism. So 1917, Lennon wrote this. And you tell me, this doesn't sound exactly like Bernie Sanders or Zohran Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed or Hasan Piker. Quote, capitalism has grown into a world system of colonial oppression and of the financial strangulation of the overwhelming majority of the people of the world by a handful of advanced countries. And this booty is shared between two or three powerful world marauders armed to the teeth, who involve the whole world in their war over the sharing of their booty. Right? That's Lenin in 1917 and also Zohran Mamdani and El Sayyad and Hasan Piker and all the rest today. And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, by the way. It is also increasingly the horseshoe right, again, which sees America as a corrupt empire and sees all of that as an outgrowth of individualistic free markets. Again, I could read that same quote again. And it would sound exactly like, say, Tucker Carlson or Adrian Vermeel.

So again, Woke 1.0 was mostly white people and some black people saying that America is racist. That's what America is about. The West is racist. It's white supremacist. Woke 2.0 is white people and some brown people, predominantly foreigners, telling us that American capitalism is responsible for all these things. Free markets are responsible for all these things. The systems of the West are responsible for all these things. So it's easier to pitch Woke 2.0 than Woke 1.0. Why? Well, one, Iraq derangement syndrome. So Americans have been convinced over the course of the last 25 years or so that actually America is the bad guy, that we and our allies are fundamentally evil, that our foreign policy decisions of the past two decades and maybe longer, going all the way back to World War II, according to some, are actually terrible and horrible and were the bad guys in the world? And second, there's a lot of economic angst right now. Combine those two things. A belief that America is a nefarious power globally? and our economic angst, and you get Woke 2.0. This is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's new program. It's the program of Abdul El-Sayed and Zohran Mamdani, too. Again, it's just old-school Leninism with some brown foreign faces at the front, the supposed victims of the system. It's actually the dream of Jean-Paul Sarch, the far-left communist, who wrote back in the 1960s, quote, this is about Western civilization. It's our turn to tread the path step by step, which leads down to native level. But to become natives altogether, our soil must be occupied by a formerly colonized people and we must starve of hunger, right? That would be just desserts for us. So why is it working? So Peggy Noonan has a piece over the weekend in the Wall Street Journal talking about why socialism is working. And she basically says it's ignorance and economic upset that voters who are young saw the 2008 economic crash and they got blackpilled on capitalism and AI is scaring them. And also they don't remember the Cold War. and also institutional trust is down. And a lot of that is true. But there's something else going on here. A deep and abiding hatred of America that's being projected back on America now. This is not just about questions of the economy. That's not what this is. It's not just questions about the economy. tidal wave. I mean, you see it in the polling. It is significant. And millennials are not, you know, punk kids anymore. Yeah. We're grown adults with mortgages and kids. And that generation is starting to be decisive at the polls. Rental and no kids. And there is anger. at being ignored, sidelined, having our economic futures mortgaged by the generations that came before us on everything from the economy to climate. And we're taking the reins. Right. Again, the olds are bad. Right. Them and there, they're old-fashioned values. They're bad. And America's the bad guy in the world. Again, the America's the bad guy in the world is the feature, not the bug for these folks. This is the feature, not the bug. This created a bit of an awkwardness for Abdul El-Sayed. So Abdul El-Sayed, because, again, the left decided to support Ukraine against Russia because they decided that Russia was pro-Trump for whatever dumb reason. Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan, he was asked on Meet the Press why he supports funding for Ukraine but not Israel. And he ignores the obvious answer, which is that he hates Jews, but here he was trying to explain the difference. And the difference is not the difference. You're saying you would not support sending aid to Israel, which was attacked by Hamas, but you have also said that you would support sending military aid to Ukraine, which was, of course, attacked and invaded by Russia. Where do you draw the line there? Well, in Ukraine, you're talking about attacks from a leader of a neighboring sovereign country who clearly violated international law and attempting to breach the sovereignty of the Ukrainian public. That is conditional. on that circumstance. We have been offering unconditional foreign military aid to Israel, independent of the circumstances for years and years and years. And might I say, it's not just Israel, it's also Egypt, it's also Jim Jordan, it's also Saudi Arabia. That's the difference. It's about the conditions. So when we're talking about taking on Vladimir Putin and his violation of international law, I do believe we have responsibility to uphold international law and therefore to support Ukraine and its efforts. This joke, obviously he's lying. Obviously, he's lying. I mean, because, again, a border was breached. Hamas murdered 1,200 people. And if one of the conditions would be, you know, use it against Hamas, Israel's been doing that. But again, this is all part and parcel of the broader take that Syed has on America, which is that America is bad. Right. So he was campaigning with Hasan Piker. Hasan Piker is a radical leftist who loves China and hates America. Hates America. Okay. Again, double underline, despises the United States, despises it. He campaigned with Hasan Piker. And he was asked about that fact. He says, well, you know, America didn't deserve 9-11, but we should get out of cancel culture. Weird that you call it cancel culture when you say you shouldn't campaign with the America deserved 9-11 guy. Weird. When asked about Hasan Piker comments on 9-11, Senator Bernie Sanders called it a dumb statement. Do you agree? Do you disavow those comments that America deserve 9-11?

Of course, it was a dumb statement. And of course, I think Hassan himself would say that was a dumb statement. He disavowed it. So yes, America didn't deserve 9-11. But, you know, to sit here and play gotcha politics with a dumb thing somebody said out of context that they disavowed themselves to say, oh, well, what does that mean about what you think? I want to be held accountable for what I say and what I do rather than this idea that we're so stuck in cancel culture that all of us agreed was a bad idea back in 2020, but we seem to want to bring back. Okay, give me a break. All of us agreed. Woke 1.0 was cancel culture. It was we cancel you for saying boys are not girls and for saying that America is not systemically racist. What a liar. And by the way, it's an entire cohesive worldview. He shouldn't be campaigning with Hasan Piker, not because Hasan Piker said something about 9-11, but because his entire worldview is built around hatred of the United States. That would be the reason. By the way, again, this is the same Abdul El-Sayed back in 2020, saying that he hated McAnaw Island. Okay, Mackinac Island is maybe the most beautiful area of Michigan. I mean, it's just gorgeous. And he was walking around saying he hates it. Why does he hate it? Because rich people live there, of course, that's the real reason he hates it. Because again, it's about hatred of capitalism undergirds evil American imperialism. Now, here's the reality. For people like Abdul al-Siyadh, or Zohran Mamdani, they don't hate the capitalism nearly as much as they hate America's foreign policy. Their hatred for America is due to America's foreign policy, not the capitalism. But if they can claim that what they're really going after is the capitalism, then the left buys in. So here's Abdul El-Sayed ripping on Mackinaw Island a few years back. Please watch yourself. It's this charming Americana Island. He says he hates it so much. It's funny, he's like, if we win, this is going to be the, like, summer home. I just feel like every time I've ever come here, I've hated it. Why am I here? He hates it every time. But what is there to hate? Look around him. He hates it every time. Why did he hate it? Well, again, he says, Mike Rogers points out that Mackinac is great. And Sayye goes, both of these multimillionaires can afford a weekend on Mackinac Island. How about you and your family? So it's all about the rich people. It's about the rich people. But the answer is he just hates America. He really does. We can have our first full scale, America hating senator. I mean, that's how close we are. If woke 2.0 gets its way. And here's the thing. Woke 2.0. You hated Woke 1.0, right? It was ruining careers. It was canceling people. It was terrible. woke 2.0 will be way, way worse than woke 1.0. Why? Because unlike woke 1.0, there is nothing self-refuting about the idea that America is evil in the world. You can go around and you can look around your life in America and say, listen, this doesn't seem that racist to me. It doesn't seem that white supremacists. I don't see the problem. But woke 2.0 is not about that. It's about saying that America is evil in the world. This is why Gaza has become a litmus test for the left. Because again, the idea is that America is evil, you know, like Nazi Germany, supporting those Jewish Nazis over there. That's the idea. It's untrue. It's a lie and it's a disgusting lie at that. But people are significantly more apt to believe that line of crap because there's ugly images that do come out of the Middle East. And again, you don't have to know that much. You say, oh, that's really ugly. That's really terrible. It's a lot easier to believe that America was bad in Iraq than to believe that all your neighbors are racist.

And the left, of course, is perfectly happy with woke 2.0. They're perfectly happy with woke 1.0. They'll say all the words. They'll fly all the flags. They'll put up all of the little insignias on their profiles. They may have to avoid, like, a few easy pitfalls, you know, shave the rough edges off Hasan Piker by claiming, as the media do, he's just, you know, he just has comments on Israel, not that he's a full-scale terrorism supporter, or pretend that Zohran Mamdani is just critical of corporations, not capitalism, the way that John Idiot Stewart does. But again, that's not that hard. Rolling Stone will do that. Rolling Stone did an entire profile. Again, this is nothing new. Rolling Stone did a literal front page profile of the Boston Marathon bomber and treated him like a rock star. So treating Hasan Piker as though he's a rock star, this communist piece of shit. Like truly, get the hell out of our country, truly. I understand he's an American citizen. We need to change those rules ASAP. I'm for a constitutional amendment that gets rid of people who were born in the United States and grew up abroad and came back and hate America. How about that? He is the worst of the worst, and they are just upholding him. This piece in Rolling Stone is extraordinary. His mom lives nearby an apartment he got for her. His little brother Marat and sister-in-law live close as well. His dad flew in from Turkey. They're going on vacation to an undisclosed island. Again, they don't hate the capitalism. They just hate America. So his mom, who is an architectural historian who specializes in 19th century Turkish interiors, hung around and she said that she agrees with Hasan Piker's politics with a few exceptions. Quote, I'm not in love with China like he is. Now again, Hasan Piker was born in New Jersey in 1991. His family immediately moved back to Turkey. He grew up in Ankara and Istanbul. They brought him to stay with his grandparents in central New Jersey every summer. And he went to basketball camp, watched adult swim, played PlayStation 2. He said, when you're growing up in a different country, American consumerism is incredible. Free refills, 30 different flavors, Vorios, silly simple things that I like that. I still really love that America. So he loves, you know, all the products, but he hates capitalism. And as Rolling Stone observes, he controls the means of production. His profits are based on the market. A subscription to his channel runs six bucks a month. He has about 50,000 subscribers minus Twitch is 30% cut. That's north of two million bucks a year. He doesn't run ads or do brand partnerships. And he has a Mercedes. Again, they call him a Eugene Debs who deadlifts. Abby Hoffman with abs. And now, again, the left will never let go of him because he represents all the things. He hates America, hates America. That is the key to, again, disowning the Hasan Piker who hates America is disowning Hasan Piker, but they will never do it. They will not. Here's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doing the same thing. He said a lot of controversial things. Is he somebody that should have a role in the progressive movement going forward? You know, I think. When we look at our elections that have happened, we have lost young people. Much hay was made about the fact that we lost young men in the last election. And many of the same consultants that are wringing their hands today were the same ones talking about how we need to go on Joe Rogan and we need to be not so, you know, willing to...

engage in cancel culture. Oh my God. The left you, you know how infuriating it is to hear people like this talk about cancel culture? They were all in favor of canceling people who believed baseline normal things. They were perfectly happy with that. It's disgusting to listen to them. Disgusting to listen to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Or Abdul al-Sahia talk about cancel culture. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me right now? And of course, then just pretend that they're just doing, you know, FDR. It's just FDR stuff. Zohran Mamdani trying to pretend that he is some sort of FDR guy. Again, the pitch for Zohran Mamdani, as opposed to any other Normie Democrat in the city of New York. Every Democrat in the city of New York ever has campaigned as an FDR accolite. That is not what distinguishes Zohran Mamdani. It is his hatred of America that distinguishes Zohran Mamdani. It is what the Democratic Party is embracing full scale. We're seeing a lot of examples of what it can look like to have that focus on the working person. People who understand that affordability isn't just something you say, it's something you have to deliver. And that in doing this, we're not running away from the Democratic Party. We're going back to what the party used to be. You think about FDR and LaGuardia. You think about the New Deal. That's what the Democratic Party once was. That's what it could be again. And if we want to win, I think that's what we have to become. I'm pretty sure FDR and LaGuardia didn't hate the country. I'm pretty sure there's that and didn't associate with people who are pro-terrorism. I don't know. So here's the thing. There's a vulnerability for Woke 2.0, just as there was with Woke 1.0. So with Woke 1.0, it turns out that Hispanic Americans particularly were not that into it. They voted en masse for Trump in 2024. And it turns out that for Woke 2.0, both black and Hispanic Americans are not all that into it. The Abdul El-Sayed, voter share by college degree and median household income. Not amazing. Again, look at this. Okay, so the core constituency, believe it or not, for El-Sayed, again, were people who don't earn that much money but have very, very high levels of education. Of course. Of course. Be casually unsuccessful. The highly educated, unsuccessful. That is like his core constituency. Pissed off white people who got a college degree and can't get a job now. That is his constituency. Combined with people who just despise America. Because again, he won 90% of the vote in Dearborn, something like that in the Muslim community in Dearborn. Now again, this is a weakness for Woke 2.0. The president knows it. The president tweeted out, black and brown voters don't want communism or socialism. Not surprisingly, they're flocking to the Republican Party. They remember Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. Well, that's not why. First of all, I think that the right needs to stop talking predominantly about communism and socialism because the stats show that people don't even know what those things mean anymore. Bernie Sanders has pretended that Denmark is socialist for long enough that people now think that when people say socialism, they mean Denmark as opposed to, say, Soviet Russia. Here is the thing that they all have in common. They despise America and her founding principles, despise it, and they are lying about it. That is the thing. They hate America. Bernie Sanders vacationed in the Soviet Union as a young man. These people despise the United States. But here's the thing. The left figures, if the economy gets bad enough, then Woke 2.0 will still succeed. And again, it's not self-refuting quite the way that Woke 1.0 was.

The black lady gets punished. And then the black lady complains the entire system is rigged against black people. So that is a thing that happened over the weekend when it turns out that a player named Dijunet Harrington. went directly after Sophie Cunningham. So Sophie Cunningham, of course, is the player for the Indiana fever who has said, who has made the horrifyingly true statement that boys are not girls, and has stood up for Caitlin Clark when she was getting, no pun intended, man handled, or I guess, wo man handled. In any case, so Dichene Carrington, Cunningham is coming down the lane, but the speed of a gazelle, and Dichene Carrington comes from behind and just clotheslines her.

Here's Cunningham up ahead of the field, lays it in. Oh, my goodness. And then Cunningham gets into the face of Dijunae Carrington right away in the aftermath. I mean, she just hammers her. I mean, for no reason, by the way. I mean, just clocks this. Look at this. Oh, that is not, I'm sorry. That's not even... I mean, definitely going to be upgraded to a flagrant, too, Ryan. I mean, definitely going to be upgraded to a flagrant. She's not even trying to hold her to stop her for making the layup. She just goes around her head. Well, yeah. She's complaining about that? In what world? He is now ejected from the game following that hard foul on Sophie Cunningham. Well, yeah, I mean, look at this. She doesn't just, like, grab around the shoulder. She, like, grabs her around the face. Come on. Okay, so she gets ejected. And it turns out that the real victim here is Dijunay Carrington. She then tweeted out all caps, white privilege at Indiana fever. What now? What now? So you close line. I mean, again, absolute clotheslining. And then she posted 823, which is the date that she plays the fever next. And now again, we've seen some pretty hard fouls in the sport. This is like 1980s basketball, honestly, like 1980s NBA. This is as a Celtics fan is a play near and dear to my heart. This is the Kevin McHale clothes lining of Kurt Rambis in the 1984 finals that may in fact have turned around the finals in favor of the Celtics. It looks like this, right?

There we go. There's Rambis, and then here comes Mikhail. And Mikhail kind of grabs it. Okay, it's like the same play, except way, way worse from Dijunay Kherington, who grabbed him around the head. Here he sort of grabs him around the shoulder. A little bit of the neck. Okay, but that was like a super hard foul on Kurt Rambus. Back in 1984, I was considered like one of the hardest fouls. So, yeah, I mean, that's... That's a flagrant. Okay, let's be real about, okay, white privilege. Why is everything white privilege? Why? It's not white privilege if the player that you absolutely destroyed coming down the court, like she's Rudy Tomjanovitch near Kermit Washington, somehow an aspect of white privilege when you get ejected. Like, come on. But here was the Indiana fever coach doing the obligatory thing defending Dijunay Carrington. Look, it was a hard foul. I don't think that Dijanae intentionally came out to get her across the neck like she did. But it did happen, and I thought it was the right call. But, you know, one of the things about Ney is that she's going to play her butt off, man. She's going to compete. Nobody's going to go walking in for a layup. And so I'm not, I don't oppose the hard foul. But I also don't think that she intentionally went for the neck. And Caitlin Clark does not look particularly happy about this particular statement by her coach sitting right next door. Again, it's ridiculous. Okay, so fine. Say that. But she's the one who's claiming white privilege. She's the one who says it's white privilege to be ejected. The WNBA just cannot get out of its own way. Meanwhile, apparently a lot of people were very upset that Caitlin Clark bumped into a referee and then got a technical. It was later rescinded. Here's what that looked like. The fever have been told this technical foul was for Caleb Park running into the official. Here's what happened. She lets go the ball spins off of her. I don't see in one world that contact rises to the level of a T. Okay, and they called the foul and then they uncalled the foul because, again, it's not even remotely a technical foul. And then people are like, racism. Do you want your league to be successful or not? Honestly, you make it not fun. You make it not fun because you're being like this. Because you're being so stupid and obnoxious, you're making whatever this is. It's barely fun anyway. You're making it super duper not fun. You know, sports should be kind of fun. I'll admit that over the weekend, my kids and I discovered banana ball, which is basically a form of baseball starring the Savannah bananas. And my kids are super into this. Why? Because they care about the fun of it. It's like silly and fun. Sports should be fun. Sports should be interesting. It should not be this. It should not be this. Now, speaking of the WNBA, on Friday, Enos Cantor, with whom I'm friendly, is a former center for a wide variety of teams, including the Boston Celtics, he declared for the WNBA draft. This is hilarious. After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines, I am officially declaring myself a WMBA prospect. Apparently, the WNBA Commissioner wrote in a memo, quote, I know many of you have received questions in recent weeks regarding transgender athlete participation in women's basketball. I expect this topic will continue to receive significant attention. And they're going to have a task force of team presidents and general managers at a previously scheduled meeting next week. The commissioner said that the league will, quote, always approach this topic thoughtfully, respectfully, and in alignment with the longstanding values of our league. Secondly, our player eligibility rules unlike the eligibility rules of some other leagues and governing bodies are collectively bargained. Lastly, preserving the integrity of our game and ensuring fair competition will always remain among the league's highest priorities. I don't know. I don't know, man. I think discrimination is coming.
