And now, Iranian leaders are saying that the straight of her moves will never fully reopen. until the U.S. quote, corrects its behavior as Tehran is now out this morning with a new list of demands for Uncle Sam. It is a long list there. They're saying that not only does the US have to let up on its blockade, not only does the US have to pay reparations for damages caused by the war effort. It also has to agree to stop saying anything negative about the Iranian regime, that it's got to take all forces out of the Middle East writ large.

I wouldn't tell nobody anything. There you go. Right on. I think my kids would know first thing. Staying nice. And my mom. Yeah. And then we just kind of decide from there, I would take a nice trip, a nice vacation, because I need that. Yeah, you call the kids a Maui, first of all, right? That's where I am. Get a lawyer, get yourself a money professional, and I would tell you and, you know. You'd let me know? Yeah, and a few other people, you know, shall be nameless. Now, the red ball, I usually pick four in 19. Okay. I pick four and 19. And you've lost on those in the past. No, four, actually, fours come out on the red ball since this is, since this drawing has been going. But 19. has not been pulled yet so 19 so we'll see how that goes and i created a nice time machine

12:55

So I'm going to go ahead in time. And I'm going to wake up and right before the draw. As soon as we get off work, I'm going into Tuesday. I'll be into Tuesday so nobody will know where I'm at. And then I'm going to see the numbers. Then I'm going to come back in time. And then I'll play the numbers. That's coming up for you in 10 on News Radio, WTAM, 1100. This bill wills for the best window you could replace. Used to replace the windows in your home. It's a universal window with that Unis shield window from Universal custom built for your home. To reduce those air leaks, improve energy efficiency, and keep your home cooler during the summer and warmer during the winter. I mean, we've got a muggy week this week. And if you're closed, there's no fresh air to get in the house. But yet that air conditioning that you're spending money on, it's leaking right out that old window. And that same windows cost you money winter after winter in the cold air. So you've been thinking about replacing windows. Go with a great company that builds that Unis shield window, universal windows direct. They stand behind their product with a lifetime warranty. Give them a call. Look, it gets to be a busy time of the year with school starting. A lot of people start doing this, so I'm going to make sure you get on their schedule. Call them at 216-243-66-48, 216-243-66-48, or visit universalwindows direct.com. By the way, right now you buy four windows, you get four-free. 48 months of zero percent interest, same as cash. That's universalwindows direct.com. 216, 243, 66-48. Call them this morning, like me, you'll be saying I love my windows. All right, Mike Snyder on a little vacation. We've got Brenda in with sports, and our guardians are, what are we, like four back, and there's a bunch of us locked in there. Can you hold on a second? I'm trying to find Scooter's psychedelic mushrooms in the studio here. What does he smoke in this? Yeah, man, oh, man. All right, yeah. Bill, here's the ugly numbers. Another loss, 5'3 yesterday to the White Sox. Sox win the series, taking two out of three. Guardians now in fourth place. They're in fourth place in the AL Central's. The Tigers, who were sellers last week, have jumped into second place. I'm not kidding. Cleveland has now lost 13 of 17, 7 and 15 since the All-Star break, 1 in 5 since the trading deadline. On May 24th, the Guardians were 9 over 500. They are now 400, 500. All of that happened in 2 and a half months. Manager Stephen Bowes says the team. is not being itself. You know, as a whole, as a team, we're trying to do too much. Everyone's trying to do just a little too much, be a little too perfect, and we just had a conversation about that in the clubhouse. And we just have to relax. We have to be ourselves. Well, who we are is good enough, and I think we've lost sight of that. And vote also isn't discouraged. Of course, he never is. Yeah, I mean, obviously you want to win a series. I mean, we're not thrilled. You know, I think it's been a rough couple weeks for us, and it's time to turn it around on Tuesday. Only highlights Stephen Kwan and Jose Ramirez, each with a pair of hits. Kwan's average is now 265. The low-light Craig Yoho was terrible in relief. He allowed four runs, two hits, and four walks, and one-third of an inning. Not sure how long Yoho remains with this team. Off day today in Detroit, tomorrow night to start a three-game series. Meanwhile, the Red Sox, who were almost unbeatable for a month, lost two out of three to the A's. And how about the Dodgers? The best team?

16:42

team in baseball. They have now lost eight of nine. Figure that one out, folks. Okay, Brown's practice today after yesterday's day off looks like number four will get the start Saturday against dog bears after taking a lot of first team reps on Saturday. What's plagued the team so far is interceptions, 17 so far in camp. And coach Todd Munkin says there's a lot of blame to go around. Well, it's everybody. It's, it's offense. quarterbacks, defense, system, it's all of us. When you turn the ball over, it's all of us. When the defense gives up an explosive play, it's all of them. We have lost charge plays, it's all of us. I mean, that's a, all stats are team stats. So we got to do a better job of scheming it. executing, protecting, and throwing it. So it's really not one player per se. We excited about the turnovers? Of course not. That's all you do is you keep practicing and fight to correct it. Other NFL news, the Lions will have a different looking quarterback room moving forward. Head coach Dan Campbell said that veteran signal caller Teddy Bridgewater has decided to step away from the team and training camp was officially placed on the reserve slash retired list. Bridgewater previously retired after the 2020 season. Lines are signing veteran backup. You've heard of him. Josh Dobbs to weigh one-year deal worth a little over a million and a half dollars. All right. In for Mike's. I think I found the scooter stuff to. In for Mike Snyder on the Home of the Guardians and Cavs, Craig Brinda, W-T-A-M-Sports. You try it first, then I'll try it later. Okay, all right, got you. 620. Now let's take your drive. W-T-A-M-1100. Traffic is Pat Buller. Thank you, Bill. Scattered showers, thunderstorms, and heavy downpours are possible. Cleveland 3 News meteorologist Anthony Copeland says mid-80s for the afternoon. 70 tonight, 80s again tomorrow. Got a few storms in Western Ohio. Nothing local right now, but we could have a few pop-up showers.

19:39

It looks like this morning. It's muggy, though. 71 right now, Wycliffe. 72 at your severe weather station. News talking sports, news radio. WTAM 1100 on FM with us this morning. 106.9 of the iHeard app or on your laptop. However you're getting this this morning, thanks for being there. Carmen Angelo, with the trending stories at 630. We haven't talked about Gaza in a while, but we are this morning, right? Yeah, and it appears that the wedge has continued to be drilled deeper between Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump, Bill, as Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the president's Gaza Board of Peace Plan. Two women are discovered in a burned-out Canton apartment and died from injuries, not consistent with the fire, according to investigators. And Ohio Congressman Marcy Captor, she's out of the hospital following a scary hit-and-run incident last weekend. Blind stories on this Monday morning. Bringing aviation expert Jay Rand to fund a couple of things. And today's the day. Maybe you're getting out of town. We'll see what your flight looks like. Out of Cleveland Hopkins. Morning, Jay. Hey, pleasant and good morning. Okay, ICE arrest. Been a big part of news for the last year or so. And airlines have some concern about arrests at airports? They're increasing in number. And the issue is, I guess... President Trump has a kind of a daily goal of 2,000 deportations a day. And what they're doing is more and more ICE agents are showing up at airports to go after people that are in the country without proper documentation. And what they're doing sometimes is actually trying to go on board airplanes after they have boarded to try to remove the individual. And airlines are saying, look, this is... causing a lot of disruptions on the flights, delaying departures, and a lot of other things. So airlines are starting to push back saying that there needs to be some sort of understanding here about where this is going to happen and where it's not. So there was a very good article in the Wall Street Journal on this, and it covered it, and I tell you, it's going to be something that's going to continue to be an issue, especially now that we're still in the middle of the busiest summer travel season we've had in a while. And until the end of August, that's exactly what we're going to see. So, yeah, it'll be interesting to see the give and take that may take place here. I understand the laws, understand what they need to do. But, yeah, there's got to be some balance as far as balancing what the rest of society is doing, if you will, especially with air travel. Right. Well, airlines are just saying, let's stop it at the TSA checkpoint. Yeah. If there's somebody you need to detain, let's do it there. before it gets into the, you know, the chaotic area of the Bill Gates. And I totally agree with that. All right. Charges they've got, I was thinking about my daughters had a flight. She flew out Friday to Denver to see a concert and coming back. And I was able to, I guess, to use some of my United Miles. And, of course, I, you know, happily gave them to her. Anyway, she got the ticket down and was, you know, got the carry-on. So she's saying she's flying out to Denver for like 50 bucks. Having said that, when it comes that overhead storage, there are some airlines starting to charge for that, right? Yeah, who didn't see this going, right? Jetstar, that's an Australian low-cost carrier. They've decided to start charging for the use of their overhead storage compartments. Now, Bill, I have zero idea how they're going to enforce this.

22:51

But believe me, if airlines can find a way to make the overhead bins a revenue stream by adding one more of these ancillary fees, you better believe they're going to waste no time in doing so. We've talked about it before. It's a game of playing follow the leader. Brace for impact on this bad boy, because I'm telling you, I'm waiting for it to open up and it looks like a NASCAR with a bunch of those stickers inside from sponsors. I mean, there's just nothing here they won't do. Yeah, apparently the overhead bends is the next thing they're going after. I don't see how you do it. I mean, people are yelling probably. Hey, didn't pay. You pay it. You know, you can't have flight attendants police that because they're busy doing like 50,000 other things. So I don't know. This is going to be interesting, but you know, every airline board and management team going to be looking at this thing if they pull it off and it's just going to get, ugh. Uglier than ugly. But look, a lot of people are trying to beat the carry or the check bag fees by carrying the large bags on. So the pushback here is if we do this, more people will actually check their bag. This is what airlines are telling us, which will make the boarding process easier. We're doing this for you, Bill. We're doing it for you. Yeah. Service, service, service. They've got us in mind all the time. Hey, Asian expert, Jay Ratliff on Flying Stories. More on him and day trading. Just check out jayradlev.com. Have a good day. Thank you, too. Head now to Cleveland Hopkins, make sure you check that app on your phone for your flight. There's several delays already posted this morning on the screen. And TSA says at least a 15-minute wait to get you through. Take us with you whenever you get out of town, too, on the I-Heart radio app, 626. And now, five good minutes. News Radio, W-T-A-M-1100, this is Bill Wilson. You know, at some point you ask yourself the question, how long am I going to live? None of us have the answer. But I had to laugh when I actually sent me over this topic. Full disclosure for retirement 401K, I heart, we've got fidelity. And so there's a little program you go in, and probably like most programs, you figure out what your budget might be in retirement years. And they tell you, well, you're not saving enough money. And then they ask you how long are you going to live? And you're like, well, I... I guess I've got to pick a number at some point. With that in mind, people are living longer. Ashley May's Senior Director, Sequoia Financial Group, says you need to consider a lot because you're probably going to live a long, long life, right, Ashley? Exactly. And you bring up a funny topic because... That is one mystery of life. And if everyone had that answer of knowing when that date was going to come, you would be able to do a lot more planning. You would be able to pick exactly when to start Social Security and all of that good stuff. But unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, we don't know that number or that date. And so when it comes to longevity, we really need to plan for it. A lot of times in financial planning, people don't expect... to live into their 90s or late 90s or even into their 100s that we're seeing nowadays. People are living a lot longer. Big picture, and again, full disclosure, Fidelity manages our 401K stuff. With the algorithms and the models and all, if I put in, you know, I'm going to retire to a certain age and I'm going to live even longer, then they're going to invest and manage the money differently so it continues to grow because I'll need it longer? Is that that's about fair to say? Yes, that is about fair to say. One thing that you want to be kind of looking at when it comes to those investments, which... In terms of considering for investments for longevity, you want to be sure you're keeping up with inflation. And so a lot of times people think, okay, my retirement date is age 67. As soon as I turn 67, I'm going to turn down the risk in my 401K because I hit retirement. But what you really need to think about is...

45:58

How does that need to last over the next 30 years, potentially? And so you need to keep the growth growing in that account to keep up with inflation, to keep up with your lifestyle and keep that account growing even within retirement, not just the working years. Great point. So when you look at expenses, I mean, let's say you're 50 years old. Here's what we're spending now. The house is going to be paid off, and here's what we think we have. With inflation and health care costs, I mean, it could change a lot. So let's get into that sum. And, you know, if you're part of a couple, you hope the two of you are together a long, long time. But at some point, you lose a spouse. All this affects retirement years, right? Yep. And when we think about the expenses, a lot of times people say, I spend X amount of dollars per month, and that's what I want to retire on and, you know, continue my same lifestyle. But things change. change. So what we typically see is when people are young and healthy and going into retirement, they're traveling more, they're spending more, they're leaving the house and doing activities that might cost them money. And then a lot of times when we see clients say, I'm going to stop traveling when I turn 85 or whatever that might be. And so I'm going to spend a lot less. But what you have to consider is you might spend less on travel, but what about home accommodations, health care, prescriptions, maybe not things that you want to spend your money on, but in terms of expenses, that might... shift for sure, but still want to be conservative with the planning. Okay, most still have Social Security as well, but you've got another income hopefully you're going to have. So get you out of here on this. Just overall considerations and managing this, really some professional help. And again, we love the people to Sequoia. Full disclosure, I've got Fidelity that works with us. You really need to have somebody watching out for this stuff, though, don't you? Yes, I think so. There's a lot to consider that. A lot of people don't consider. You mentioned the loss of the spouse. And so in terms of longevity, you need to think about if one of the spouses passes away, is there any fixed income that now you're going to have to live on by yourself? So in terms of social security, being reduced down to just one social security income, does the pensions have survivor benefits? Is there a need for life insurance? All of that stuff impacts longevity, just to make sure that you're set up, your spouse is set up for the long run and that you won't run out of assets before you run out of time. Good questions to ask yourself this morning from Ashley Mace, Senior Director, Wealth Advisor at Sequoia Financial Group. Actually, I appreciate it. Thanks much. Have a great day, okay? Thank you.
