Doug Burgum - US Sec. of the Interior Joins The Show

Tom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210, WPHD. It is Dom time. I'm looking at a headline, even on Fox. Moderate Democrats prep for war with the socialist wing. They're not prepping for war with anything. They're thinking, how can they avoid endorsing it? Stay out of the way. Not appear to be enabling it while they're allowing it to happen. They're not stepping up to do anything. Many of the people, Gretchen Whitmer, for example, in Michigan, they've endorsed this Hater of America. This is Hasan Piker file. Just like here in Philadelphia, Chris Rab is able to go crazy. These are haters of America. Democrats are not fighting back. They're trying to somehow or another convince themselves that they're not taken over the party. Don't say too much. It will go away. Why are they being so successful? The arguments of those, like the guy in Michigan is, because they're going after corporate greed, because they're talking affordability. That's not it. The secret sauce is seething Trump hatred, just hatred of America, just attacking. It's embodied by their thoughts on the killing of the insurance executive. The health insurance executive. That's what's driving it. That's the juice. It's never about these flat position papers they hold up. They don't care about that. They're juiced up. And these Democrats are trying to pretend, well, we're a big tent, some of them saying that publicly. Others know in their heart of hearts, this is not their Democrat Party, even if they're liberals. Now, one update on a story here that is amazing to me. Larry Krasner's office has just said it is not going to continue. It's withdrawing the prosecution. Remember this guy that got into it with his girlfriend, this guy that gives all appearance of a maniac at the Liberty Bell. And that led them to looking at this house out in Olney. And it led them to missing women and a house of horror scenario. Well, the Krasner people withdrew Thursday morning telling a city judge, the U.S. attorneys now will handle the case. In other words, the feds are doing it. Thank God for that. I mean, if there's nothing out there, there's all kind of blood and all, but it doesn't match anybody yet. You got this thing with a girlfriend. You got stolen identities with people that are missing. I'm glad Krasner's washing his hands of it, so to speak. And the feds are now in charge if we're going to get to the bottom of this. We'll see. All right. Side question, the beer thing today, 855-8-3-9-12-10. I played you, Cocoa, her answer to this. And my response is, all right, you know, they're in a tough spot here. She doesn't want to just say. And I think that may be her legitimate feeling. But how are we attacking the so-called trans community here? It's not about that. It's about the simple principle of this nonsense. Well, I guess in their minds it is. They believe in this mythical kingdom of this stuff versus the fact that you're at birth, either a male or female. And these affinities or these other things attached to this are just silly.

But in their minds, it's not. And that's an attack. So that may be what she's talking about. But she did say it's fine for the tennis people to be testing to make sure someone, I don't know if she exactly verbalized that, that is a male, is not participating against women in tennis for the integrity of a sport. Well, Sophie Cunningham said that, but she got down to the level, not a pro sports. But of females. Now, I'm not sure if Goff agrees that's how far this should go. She said in this occupational setting that it does go, but does it go down to that level? And Sophie Cunningham used words like kindness and all. It's not engage in anything else. That's all. These are not that much different. The Goff clip that I played you. It's a little bit more nuanced. She actually used that word, which is fine. And I've looked fairly closely. There's some people pushing back on her saying pick a lane. I don't think everybody's completely happy with it, but people are pretty much saying, well, this is thoughtful. Let's let this go. Of course, I have a couple of female podcasters. Still on Sophie Cunningham, and I don't think they talked about Goff in this cut. They talk about the idea. This is cut 16. First of all, they take a shot. Now, I told you yesterday, this is the tactic. Riley Gaines was an incredibly accomplished swimmer. I think she beat Leah Thomas in one of the events. She did not win the national championship, but she was at a very high level. Why do they need to tell us that Sophie Cunningham is a backup and that Riley Gaines was a – Oberman calls her a loser or something like that as a swimmer. Well, they're trying to diminish, and they're right. We haven't seen a real big – Coco Gough is big, but her statement was not – pinpoint on pushing back on any of these things other than to say testing, who could disagree with that? We'll see. I think they will ultimately. But she was very nuanced, balanced in what she said. The only one that has been a little bit more aggressive is Martina Netafilova, who long ago played major, major tennis player. There's no other woman. If Clark had spoken up, she doesn't want to, okay, then we would have seen even more action. So far, they've been able to limit opposition to something that is incredibly toxic to a backup player in Sophie Cunningham. That is accurate. And in their minds, a loser, Riley Gaines. There's a little bit of these two podcasters breaking down where we are now. Sophie Cunningham has just continued to fan the flames here. Yeah. And she most recently posed with Riley Gaines, who was a swimmer, not even a very good one. Hold it right there, Henry. Not even a very good one. Can you imagine this woman? Now, you're an ultimate sports guy. I would say on the same different levels, but.

Are you kidding me, lady? Swim a lap. Yeah, like, I don't like that because she was on the podium for the national champions that year in swimming. She tied Leah Thomas. Yeah, it's not like she was getting blown out in the SEC. She was in the national championship. Well, and even if she were, she's a competitive swimmer. She's somebody was actually doing this in the competitive, even if she came in last in a race. Why the need for this? It's all part of the package. And yes, Cunningham is a backup player pretty much. It's not a star. All the given is if they know if a star does this, it's going to be different. Maybe there'll be more of a blowup if that happens, but not even a very good swimmer. It shows you the level of disrespect and lack of knowledge of this. To Henry's point, She was a winner in this, the NCAA tournament, et cetera. She was at a high level. These are very close competitions. That's why we talked with Riley Gaines, remember about how much it would take to shave a tenth of a second off, why they shave hair off. She talked about 20 minutes it would take to put on a fitted suit, their swimming suit. Because this is how intense it is. And you got some six foot four guy you're competing against, not just even a shorter guy. Well, what do you expect to happen here? All right, here's a little bit more. Super anti-trans women in sports. And she also posed for a picture with the Levi's executive, Jennifer Say. And this was at a game. And both of the Riley and Jennifer wore t-shirts that were anti-trans. And Cunningham even held up Riley Gaines' sign, which read, Sophie, thank you, from a girl mom, which... We have talked about this. This is trans women in sports is not the biggest threat to women's sports in any, by any means, I would say it isn't a threat to women's sports. It is so clear at this point that Sophie Cunningham is doing a pretty blatant, like, right-wing grift. Yeah. She's doing a hard pivot right. I just think that she knows what she's doing and she knows that ultimately her basketball career is only going to be so long. She's not the best player. She's she's not. Well, it feels like a move out of Trump's playbook. Everything is television. Everything is pop culture and tabloidy. Even when to your point, this is really a human rights issue. This isn't like a fun. Oh, this is like a fun Us Weekly headline, you know, with some celebrity drama. But that's how these issues are treated by the right. I mean, I don't know if we've talked about this before. Other people have said this a million times, but.

Conservatives are truly the best marketers because this issue, it's like it is so polarizing and yet it's not really the main issue affecting women's sports, as you said, but that people just get up in arms about it because Republicans know that people will get up in arms about it. And they're like, oh, great, now we have another mouthpiece that can distract from all these other things that we're doing that are horrific, like snatching people off the street. and murdering people on the street, that they're like, oh, great, this is a perfect distraction. And it's horrible and terrifying, but it's like, oh, great, they've just found another mouthpiece who is a woman in the public eye that we can use to say our talking points. That's really what this is. Like, I guarantee you at the next Republican National Convention, who do we think is going to speak? You think Sophie Cunningham's not going to get up there and speak? Please, I'm calling it now. Like, this is all what this is. It's not, it's not complicated. Like, no. It's horrifying, but it's not complicated. All right, let me intervene here at one point here. At one point, and look, consider the sources here this podcast. It's not as bad as the Welsh woman and her sidekick, but. The idea that this is just skillful marketing, it's not skillful marketing other than the Trump people. We've had them on. They talked about it during the 2024 election. We would have told them that. This issue moves people, particularly any number of people who may or may not be deciding to vote. We talked about African-American males and others with the gender operations, $24 million, Kamala Harris, for people that were here illegally. It's not marketing. There is something innate in this. And it's not even, I've made this point. It's not the bathroom part. Oh, they're going to be invading the bathroom. Yeah, people hate that too, particularly dads with teenage girls. They hate that. There is something innate with people that says, we've had it with your nonsense across the board, with your diversion from reality. You're not going to put males in who have not even gone through any procedures necessarily. They're just identifying with something else to compete about females. Not even one are we going to allow. And you may bludgeon us with all sorts of tactics like PIIAA saying, let the school decide. Josh Shapiro saying, are we really going to be that concerned with it? Yeah, Josh, people are. And you don't have an answer for it is the bottom line. That's the bottom line on this. Now, how it got into the WMBA, I think she was asked something and she wrote something, et cetera. And they're right, she is a backup player. If this ever hits any number of major females speaking out on this, there's going to be big trouble. And this is just all part of the mindset on any number of issues. bigger than this in some ways. But there is something innate in reasonable human beings that go, no, a boy should not be competing against a girl for so many reasons. You talk about the bathroom invasion and all that. We can't see that. We think, you know what, maybe somebody's making something up.

But then when we see A.B. Hernandez prancing all over the place, beating highly accomplished females in California, or here we see it play out. People just go, enough. It buys into this party is crazy right now. They have any number of positions. And some of the smarter ones will argue, look, how are we losing on these things? We should be winning. We're the party of the working class and all that stuff, the economy, not Republicans. How are they beating us? And some of them come to the conclusion, it's things like this dying on these hills, and they're not going to give it up. And these two women are practical examples of it. They will never get it. It's not marketing. There is something in human beings that says, no. I'm against this. Why are we doing this? It's not anti-trans. It's not anti-saying a kid can't play a sport. It's just saying it's wrong. It's common sense. Think of any number of issues where that happens. Now, Republicans have to watch on their side, not compassion enough. You know the arguments that come up on any number of issues. But they're usually not seen as crazed. like issues like this. That's what's happening. They're not running around saying like the guy in Michigan and Hasan Piker, we deserved it on 9-11. You do that and there are certain things that people don't forget. You can say all the other policy positions that you want, there are certain things that just resonate. I don't even know if I could detail if we had hours. Why this one does. That's why I said, if I were running, Stacey Garrity, whatever money I had, because you're up against the media, this ruthless guy, I would put it into stuff like this. It drives people. Flesh him out on this. All right, 855, 839, 12, 10. And the tells of saying, yeah, Riley Gaines, not even very good. I mean, it's just. reeks of diminishing and telling people, shut up, we don't care about your mindset, your feelings. In other words, you're supposed to care about these other things. Well, it's hard to care about them. Scott Jennings has made this point. Why would I trust you on the economy, geopolitics, and all, when you look at this and you go, what's wrong with this? Deep down any number of these Democrats, they're not in agreement with this. But they're afraid that you have to be. And maybe they're right. arguably, I think they're bigger than Sports Illustrated. I don't even know what the hell they do. Sports Illustrated is dead. They're bigger than them by default. And they were picked by the New York Times. So you would think you'd have a little bit more Riley Gaines knowledge rather than the default position is just say we're all mean. Say mean, mean, mean, mean, mean. This is all mean. Has nothing to do with any real issue. Why are we not talking about this issue? Well, then stop it. Stop putting males and boys in against females, and then we won't be able to talk about it. It's not marketing. This is why they lose the craziness of this party. They take an issue and they don't like it that the voters don't want to hear them prattle on about affordability while they're also taking this laundry list of things that are way outside the mainstream. So maybe they're smarter than we are. Maybe they know better that this should not be objectionable. Why is it objectionable? Now, the WNBA, I'm looking at the odds. This is really heating up on them. Will they draft this French player? The odds are pretty long that we told you about that's trans. And in a French league is averaging 20 points, 21 points, and 20 rebounds. 20 rebounds are pretty impressive. I'm not even sure anymore what the trans means, though. Is this a male who's gender affirming that way, or is this somebody who's actually had procedures, but a little hard to tell, six foot three player, WMBA, in fact, that would be the number one mission. Who should draft this to say, look, we're putting our money where our mouth is. We are not just telling the rest of society. We're giving opportunity to a player who's played pretty well. and let's see what happens. Why is the WNBA such a point? Because they crawl with all these things that the Democrat Party is involved in, one way or another. Gary in Newtown, he's next day in here on Talk Radio 12. Hey, Gary. Hey, Dom, how are you? Good. Thank you for that, Gary. And any responsible media, day and night would say to the Democrats, you must put up the Fairness and Women's Sports Act for a vote. It's gone now 1,100 days without a vote. What are you afraid of? But put it up for a vote. What is the fear? The other thing with the women in sports is it's so simple. We had...

Since 2020, people screaming at us, follow the science, follow the science. And it only comes down to two chromosome types, an X, X or an XY. That's all we have. That's all we're ever going to have, at least in my lifetime, or I think ever, and it doesn't make any sense. And Gary, to that point, every one of these big-time institutions stands one, meaning Cleveland Clinic, male, they're all saying, no, this gender affirming care is toxic. There's only one. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the arrogance machine. Well, the people that led it over in Europe, they've actually banned it to Santa. Exactly. Exactly. So, anyway. Can we go back a little bit to the beginning of your show? Sure. I want to respectfully and as a, and peacefully disagree that. The bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were actually not necessarily. In fact, they were evil. There was over 200,000 women and children that died, and there was really no military objective to either one. No, it wasn't military. It was breaking the morale and forcing them to surrender. What else would we have done, Gary? I don't know what else we would do, but killing women and children is not the way to get it done. Pennsylvania, that's for sure. Well, thank you very much. As a dean, I declare this Doug Burgum Day here. So what are you doing in Pennsylvania today? Well, we're, folks today is on energy. I've got two jobs, the mission to being... Secretary of the Interior, which manages all of the great and amazing and abundant natural resources in this country from oil and gas onshore and offshore and all of the critical minerals, the coal, the timber, the grazing, all the things we do across these amazing public lands. Also, President Trump created the National Energy Dominance Council to help drive prosperity and affordability for energy at home and make sure we could...

our friends and allies could stop buying from adversaries that are waging war like Russia or funding terrorism like Iran. So that's another part of the job. And so we're here today visiting a couple of energy facilities and talking to the great people in Pennsylvania that are helping drive the lowest-priced natural gas, you know, lowest-price propane in the country. So when you're thinking about football and burn your grill this fall, it's like... It's good to be from Pennsylvania because of the abundant natural resources for energy that are here that are developed here and are distributed here. So it's fun to meet with the people that are making that happen. Absolutely. We wanted to call. President talks about this all the time. We used to play Hillary Clinton in the campaign of 2016 about how she was going to put all the coal miners out of business, which was a mistake. What is happening with coal? Well, President Trump has basically helped revive this important industry, and we need it for power generation. We need it from coal. Metallurgical coal creates a product called Coke, not what you drink, but Coke to make steel. We bring in the steel industry back to America, so we can stop importing that. And then coal is also filled up with critical minerals, which were, you know, China's got a strangle hold on those, and so there's so many roles that coal can play. As President Trump likes to say, you know, beautiful clean coal, because if there's a coal plant running in America today, it's survived at 20 regulatory. The cleanest power plants in the world are right here. And, of course, when you think about this last winter, you know, winter storm fern with that cold weather, if President Trump's policies to keep coal electric generation going, there would have been power outages across this entire. 20 state region in the northeast part of the country. Coal kept the lights on. Coal increased its electrical power by 50% during that storm, keeping everybody going, and wind and solar contributed. Well, solar was 0% during the peak stuff because it was dark and it was not dark, cloudy, and they were frozen over with the freezing rain and solar panels, and wind was 2% because it was a high pressure system cold and not windy. But so they were not delivering at all when they were needed and coal came through with a 50% increase. And many of those plants were ones that had been ordered to stay open by President Trump during the energy emergency declared right when he took office. So again, another thing President Trump doesn't get credit for, but, you know, literally saving lives here in the Northeast. And you can say that because when the winter storm Uri hit Texas, there was a couple hundred people that died. It was a lot colder during Storm Fern up here than it was during Yuri. Let me pick your brain because thank God guys like you, too, in charge you're in a prime position and the president making us energy dominant. Why then listeners would ask?

Are we seeing skyrocketing fuel costs? I know it could be worse, given the situation with Iran. Your sense, if we get some kind of an agreement, will that come down pretty quickly? And I wanted to know, because you're skilled in this, it's a field you can answer, how long, you know, roughly ballpark, and why would it come down in a pretty short period of time? Well, it'll come down again when the flows start, you know, flowing again, and the markets get confident that we're going to not have disruptions to supply chains, and so it can come down quite quickly. We also, of course, in a U.S., we're fortunate, not only we're now the number one producer of oil in the world, the number one producer of... of natural gas, number one exporter of LNG, all the things we're doing to create jobs here and keep prices down both here. It's a global market. We're keeping prices down here and prices down around the world. The U.S. is contributing mightily of that. And then you throw in Venezuela, which, you know, huge success, Venezuela with, you know, larger reserves than Saudi Arabia with all of that oil now flowing to the Gulf Coast refineries. that's, you know, helping grab prices down. So President Trump did an amazing job, literally. I mean, keeping a terror group from having a nuclear weapon is the same thing as saying, we've just stopped World War III because if the IRGC, which is a terror group, you know, Iranian Revolutionary Guard, they would, they had a weapon like that, they would have either used it or they would have threatened to use it, and that would have changed the world economy and the world dynamic in a way that's hard to imagine. So, you know, kudos to President Trump for protecting our country and getting the energy prices down at the same time. We're talking with Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum. Secretary of the reflection pool is a big, big issue. Again, it's a beautiful site. It was a great idea. What can you tell us about that? I know there's some legalisms, but what you can say outside of that as far as what's happening with that now? What are we going to do to try to make that right? Well, first of all, I just want to, you know, share immense gratitude to the, you know, all the hardworking men and women of the National Park Service, the U.S. Park Police, and others. I mean, we've had record visitation this summer on the National Mall because of the 250 record fireworks, you know, the state fair that went on. President Trump speaking there on the 4th of July. Now we've got the Indy car races coming up. And on top of that, across the city. you know, restoring 22 fountains and over 50, you know, monuments and statues and parks. Incredible work they've done. The city has never been safer and never better. And the reflecting pool, you know, so much misinformation. But that thing is the size, as head back to football season, it's the size of eight football fields. It is, you know, 340,000 square feet. And far less than 1% of that. had any kind of issues, I'll call it touch-up issues with the contractor. So, you know, if you've got 99.5% of it right, if you've got a 99.5% on a test, you'd call that an A-plus. So they did a great job, and they're going to be back in at their own expense, you know, fixing up the few areas. But separate from that, there was vandalism. We've got videos. We have the proof. We have all this stuff. We've got eyewitnesses.

And that is also being repaired, and it's in the process of being refilled and cleaning up all the fireworks, debris that was in the pool. And in a couple weeks, that's going to be back up again, looking as beautiful as ever, just like so much of the rest of the city. Well, with all that material then, and again, I don't want to draw in any, you know, dear, good enough to come on today, but why are we not seeing action on that then? So you believe you have the evidence of these vandals. Well, absolutely. And absolutely there's evidence to that. Again, that information was provided. But, you know, the way the system works, you know, the president appoints state U.S. attorneys. There's a U.S. attorney that's appointed for D.C. They decide what charges to bring. They decide which cases they want to pursue. You know, we supply them with all the evidence and material they need about both the contracting and whatever, and they pursue that. You know, if there's a discussion there, I'll leave that between the president and the U.S. attorney, because, you know, who appoints those positions. But I would just say, again, it's so great to work for a president that cares so deeply about having our capital be safe and beautiful and working with the people that have just really knocked themselves out this year. You know, the historic preservationists, the dark people, the contract, everybody has been. done an amazing job. And if anybody's been in D.C., they just say, hey, I can hardly recognize the place because everything looks so amazing. You know, fountains that haven't been, you know, that were covered with graffiti. I mean, we removed, you know, 152 homeless encampments, you know, over 1,000 graffiti sites. The, you know, all the repairs, like 3,000 new benches, you know, light fixtures replaced all over the city. I mean, it is. really remarkable what can get done when you've got leadership like President Trump that just says, hey, we want this to be, you know, clean, safe, and beautiful. And it's a really, it's a model for any major city in America. If you've got an area that's blighted, that's a choice, you know. Yeah, exactly. And you would think everybody would be in unison, the nation's capital ought to be the show place, without a doubt. Yes, yes. Well, Mr. Secretary, what's up coming? Is there anything you'd like to promote coming up that we're going to see from you in the Department of Interior? Well, I would say on the... This Friday, we've got an event, which has never happened before at the White House, but we've got all the mining schools. You've got a deep education background, but there's only 17 remaining mining schools of mines and minerals. They're all coming in. Students are coming in, and we've got companies that are coming in that want to hire because we're getting back into mining business.

in this country. We have to. We can't just say, hey, that somehow we're going to save the planet by letting other countries that don't have child labor laws, don't have an EPA, okay environment, let them control all the mining and critical minerals. And people might say, your listeners might say, what does it matter to be? But if you drove a car today, if you, you know, rode on a bus, if you've, you know, called us your cell phone or turned on a TV or a microwave tonight, or even a refrigerator, you're using critical minerals. Everybody, these are just in every commonplace thing that we do and need, and we just can't be dependent. China's controlling, you know, 85 to 95% of the top 20 materials that we need for healthcare, telecom, education, defense, all these things. So President Trump identifying this threat, and we're getting after it. And part of that is we've got to. get kids back in. We only graduated 300 students in the whole country last year in mining and metallurgical degrees. And, you know, we graduated 36,000 lawyers. And we have, we like to switch the balance. You and everybody else. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So we're, so anyway, we're excited about that. We don't think there's ever been an American president that's held a mining event like this before. President Trump will be speaking. It's going to be held that the State Department was too big. We need the new ballroom because it was too big to fit into the east room. Otherwise, it would have been at the White House. We'll have Marco and myself and others there. You know, again, and it's exciting for the head. Marco Rubio, National Affairs, Iran. Is he going to have a hard hat? He's going to be into medals now, Marco Rubio? Well, part of what the – he's our host because we're using the facilities over there, but part of what we're trying to do, of course, is also sign agreements with – if we've got U.S. mining companies to sign agreements with other countries and companies overseas to get – you know, if materials are coming from overseas, get them back to the U.S., do the refining and processing here. So mining has become a very international industry. and the U.S. has got a big role to play in that, both in the lower 48, certainly Alaska has got a big role to play. But we've got some good neighbors. You know, Canada, Australia, and others are also still in the mining game. So we've got to build on these plans to build secure supply chains for all Americans. So that's going to be a fun day with the president on Friday and all these mining students because that's become a very high-tech, very high-tech industry. Well, Secretary, thank you so much anytime. Pennsylvania is a powerhouse in energy for America. And again, when you take a look, even the policies in Pennsylvania compared to neighboring New York, Pennsylvania is the place to be in terms of affordability, reliability, and secure supply of energy and all of the new manufacturing, advanced manufacturing.

And there's a lot of fire around this. How are people going to get organs, et cetera? I side with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on this. The argument is these organizations they're looking at. to decertify to shut down. Well, you know, I think decertify is a little bit different than shutting it down. I think if you want to do that, you want an organ, you want to go with this? Okay. But they're saying, no, these are not reliable. There's a big battle over this. Gary called in and, you know, I really wanted to address what he said. We were just up against the clock. Today, every year that it comes up, August 6, Hiroshima. It's something that's a tell question to ask people running for office, certainly the presidency. Would you have done what Harry Truman did? To me, it's not even, and I hear what he said about women and children, the Japanese, etc. Okay. This is the decision that had to be made, and the second, maybe even more imperative. If we had invaded them, and that would have been necessary to end the war, they were still not moving off of whatever the emperor wanted. He was a deity. He was a divine being, and not even like Hitler. It's way beyond that. The Germans by and large had turned on Hitler. They tried to kill him 14 times over the years. Not the Japanese and the emperor. And even after the second bomb, they had trouble.

The emperor had to intervene and say, that's it. Tojo and others still didn't want to surrender. The guesstimates are upwards of a million casualties of Americans. And the Japanese, it would have even been worse. They would have fought every nook and cranny because of what I just said. So using that, exactly right. Saving American lives, exactly. Do what you had to do. We're well past. attacks on civilians, Hamburg, firestorms, the British on Nazi Germany. This was just another dimension that was a little bit different, but relatively the same thing. And it's awful to see that. And I just think it's a question, though, that is a tell on an American president that American lives are the imperative here. And we're not going to lose American lives even one. We're not going to be proportional. It's about saving those lives. Think about those people that we're shipping off to go and go through that again. And the enemy and what had already gone on. And thank God Harry Truman was president. I think Roosevelt would have probably done it. But how many presidents after that would do that? and Truman had a lot of recrimination of himself afterward when he saw the level of damage, but still went through with Nagasaki and still believed what else would he do in that situation.
