National Democrats Are Holding Local Democrats Back — with Chris Love - 8-5-26

Dale Jackson here with you. If you could have heard the conversation we were having off the air, I sound very smart at things I just made up. Very, very smart. At those things. But we've got a very packed show right now. I think the specter of Yaffe is hanging over us at some point. But we also have Chris Reed with us. You can hear him on the value of labor report. That's incorrect. You can hear him on the daily controversy 2 to 4 p.m. on this station coming up here a little bit later today. He's going to break down when the actual birth of Jesus was today on today's show. So don't miss that. Two hours of it. Two hours of that. We also have Austin with us, who is my crack researcher. Austin, look at that study about the NHL that I was talking about. Also, we have Bugsie with us running the show, and now Chris Love joins us. He is the chair of the Lifestone County Democratic Party, and he has the unenviable position of walking into a conversation about Francesca Hong. and Abdul El-Sayed. Now, you're a Livestone County Democrat. You've got Democrats in your midst that range from moderates like Andrew Sneed is portraying himself, who's running for Congress, to guys who think they're Antifa soldiers like Jeremy DeVito, my best friend. The range is wide. I'm telling you right now. National Democrats are making your job a lot harder. Is that fair to say or do you disagree with that? Good morning, everybody. And yes, Dale, we do have, just in Limestone County, yes, we have a wide range of Democrats from the far left to the more moderate or central. But I don't really feel that the National Democrats is making my job hard because just in Limestone County, we deal with diversity. Not everybody thinks a lot because Thanks a lot because not everybody has the same life experiences and views in the Democratic Party. We accept that. Okay. That's a fair way to look at it. However, I don't think it's true. Let me give you a couple examples of why I might question that just based on some of the things have been happening. In the Wisconsin Democratic Party, the restaurant next door to the headquarters in one of the counties held an event. No, excuse me, this was in Michigan, for Haley Stevens. And then came out and apologized for holding that event for her because. she doesn't support Palestine enough. And they have apologized and said they shouldn't have done it and donated money to pride events, which makes no sense to me. It's like, hey, they don't love Palestine enough. Let's donate to a pride event, which we all know the problems that might come with that event. Another story, the Democratic Secretary of State, who happens to be Jewish, said she did not, or they did not feel safe going to the nominating convention because.

They're Jewish. I mean, is it really a big tent right now? Or is that tent to have someone out the door going, hey, is that a star, David I see around your neck? Maybe you need to get out of here. Well, no, I do understand your question, Dale. I never said that the Democrat Party was perfect, nor is the Republican Party. Unfortunately, everybody, you know, we still have, we have, we have disagreements division in the, in our local Lifestone County party. So yeah, on the national level, yeah, the difference will be bigger. But in the end, you know, all this is just distraction and people, you know, disagreeing about that, disagreeing about that. But in the end, everybody will band together. Because just like with me as the chair, I don't expect people to think exactly like me. But we agree on the main issues. Okay. I would be remiss to not interrupt and point out that I don't know. I don't remember the particulars of the situation. But wasn't there like a talk show host that was going to come to the Limestone County headquarters and the rest of your people were like, get this guy the hell out of here. What are you doing? Oh, yes, exactly right. And that's what I'm saying. We don't all agree on everything, but we agree on the major things. Now, going back to what you just stated, yeah, I could have probably maybe give them a heads up. So, you know, I got to look at, you know, how I could have done things better. I've told you before. A lot of Democrats don't really agree or understand why I keep coming on your show every week. But I'm a grown-ass man. I don't want to belabor that point. I just thought it was funny to bring it in the context of the whole thing. Yeah, but there's going to be disagreements. It's going to be a little bickering. That's natural. It is what it is. But I woke up this morning, and I thought Abdul El-Sayed won. Then while I was driving. I guess they returned it to too close to call. Yeah, it's over, though. I believe he's going to win. Yeah, what's her name? Haley Stevens already stated, if he wins, I'm going to back him 100%. Yeah, they might have some differences in policies and ideas. I know she had $60 million that was given to her from outside sources, and that's one of the things he mentioned. But in the end, They're going to band together. They're going to work together to defeat Mike Rogers. Okay. It's going to be a tough. That's going to be a tough one. Said is, they're going to have a lot to work with him. And they're going to do some work. And then in Wisconsin, you've got Francesca Hong, who I love. I'm just going to be completely honest with you. I love her. But there's a lot of people that are going to have a lot of problems with, you know, the whole. You know what it is? I've mentioned this to you before. I always tell you that there are people in the Democratic Party that remind me of my wife when I'm at the lake with my friends. And I'm down in the lake and I'm having a good time and I look up on the dock and I see my wife looking at me with their arms crossing going, I don't like that.

I don't like what you're doing right now. Haven't you had enough beers? Don't you think it's time maybe you get out of the lake? That's how the Democrat Party feels to me. Like they're my wife scolding me. And Francesca Hong has that vibe. I don't like fireworks. I don't like Christmas. I don't like that. And you have that. She's got that vibe to her. that where she's like scolding you constantly and some people are into that kind of thing but in that regard i'm not really and i don't want that she's going to have some problems yeah i know um what one again back to el sait i know far as republicans um They prefer or you prefer or Republicans preferred that because y'all feel that he would be a banic a candidate to run against it's similar to back in Texas where everybody Republicans from my understanding wanted Jasmine Crockett to win because she would have made a better candidate to run against um And as Francis Dung, yes, she said something. You know, and people, Dale, you know, people don't think, you know what, 10 years from now, I might want to run for governor or might want to run for Congress. I've got to be careful what I say online or on social media. I know she made comments about closeness to whiteness and want to cancel Thanksgiving. You know what? She's got to learn the game that you say things on social media. It could come back on you. Hey, do you have a problem with your proximity to whiteness right now? Say again, Dale. Do you have a problem with your proximity to whiteness right now? No, because every time I pay a bill, I guess a white person collects the money. Okay, all right, fair enough. But you know what's funny about that? We looked it up. It's like 87% white in Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, yeah. Actually, Dale, before I deployed to Iraq in 2006, my unit, we were stationed in Fort McCoy for two months. Which is in Wisconsin. Yeah, that's in Wisconsin. All right. Let's come back to the state of Alabama. There's a recent poll out that we're getting a lot of play out of it, and it says basically this. The governor's race is far closer than people thought it was going to be. If you've seen this poll, it's 4941 Tuberville. Now, you've done enough. You follow politics enough. I follow politics enough. Generally, if you're getting 49%, you're good. You're happy with those numbers. But people are correct when they say things like, I thought it would have been bigger, okay? Which is something that I heard all my college years. But when they look at this and you say that I thought that poll would be bigger, they're still probably in pretty good shape, but you've got to be excited to see that, right? Well, yes, and like I said, Dale, for Democrats in Alabama, in the great state of Alabama, without a doubt, it's an uphill battle. Every candidate I've interacted with, even being the chair, it's like running uphill. And, you know, I know me, you run.

I know last week we did get a chance to talk about it, but Doug Jay Jones, he released his campaign agenda. I've read over. I looked over it. And I think we had a conversation about two or three weeks ago, and you were asking me, when's he going to release something other than trying to get Tommy Tuberville off the ballot for him, you know, whatever, living in Florida. And last week, he put it out. So the game is on. Democrats are energized. Yeah, we've been having some issues. I know you had Tabin to Eisner on your show. The Alabama Democratic Party state executive committees on Saturday. Yeah, it's going to be fireworks there, but guess what? We're going to clean our house so we could turn around and clean Alabama, get Alabama right. Okay. And I like the idea that he's going to lay out what he wants to do. And I like that. I'd love to see it. Last thing here before we get going, the Lanyap wrote a story that I think was just the latest in the series. They're not very happy with Tommy Tuberville. Their entity itself is not very happy with Tommy Tuberville. They've been big on the, you know, he's from Florida, that kind of stuff. Their latest story is Tommy Tuberville took money from Social Security. Now, Tommy Tover also called Social Security a Ponzi scheme, which it is, and laid out that the people in D.C. don't like to talk about it and then was viciously attacked for daring to talk about it, proving his point. What's the policy prescription to fix Social Security? for Democrats other than going, well, Republicans take it too, and people like it. Because I agree with that. Republicans take Social Security and people like Social Security. They like the idea that they've paid in for their entire life, even though they don't realize, most people don't realize they're getting completely boned by this. But it doesn't matter. They pay in. They expect at the end to have a guaranteed something waiting for them. And I understand that. I completely understand it. But it is not financially viable beyond 2032. There's a lot of questions about it. How they fix it? What's the Democrat policy prescription to actually fix it instead of going, it's fine? Well, Dale, you know, I've learned, I've been doing this for a little bit to know if I don't know something. I don't know something. Only thing I know is when I first got my first summer job when I was about 14 to 15 working at Burger King and I looked at my check. Now, this was back in the 80s. I saw a little bit taken out for Social Security and every job I've had since then, money is taken out for Social Security. And yes, we hope, you know, we hope. It's like, you know, military retirement general. And, you know, you put in for something and you're supposed to get a return once you are entitled to get that return. Right. I don't have an answer to that. I know, like you said, my grandkids and your son, Dale, they probably won't have money drawn out for them for Social Security. So we need to come up with a plan. Do I have a plan? No. I just wonder, you know, and I asked that question because it's like,
