This morning. This is the answer today. I am Chris Ron. Chris joining us for the show as we come to you from inside the Revo Casino and Social House in Lebanon this morning. It was actually a beautiful drive to the Upper Valley where you go through New London and Grantham and you're kind of like up on, I don't want to call mountains, but they're more like hills. I guess they could be mountains. But you're driving through and you can see the fog just sitting in the valley. And then you drive into the fog. And we have not driven out of the fog. The fog is still here in Lebanon this morning. And there's a bit of a fog over what's going on in Michigan in regard to the U.S. Senate race. Some outlets calling the race for Haley Stevens. excuse me, for Abdul El-Sayed over Haley Stevens, as he appears to have somewhere between a 1 to 2% lead over Stevens with votes still being counted. Of course, this was one of the more significant primaries across the country with significant national implications for Senate control in 27. Ted Lindner has that story. The winner of that Democrat Senate primary will go up against Republican Mike Rogers in November. President Trump telling Fox he has confidence in Rogers. Mike Rogers is going to be fantastic. I'm not a big believer in polls, but I believe in him somewhat. And based on the polls, he'll do much better against Abdul. then he's going to do against the congresswoman. Meantime, Trump-backed Representative John James has won Michigan's GOP primary for governor, besting millionaire businessman Perry Johnson. The State Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson captured the Democratic nomination to succeed term-limited Gretchen Whitmer. Ted Linder, Fox News. Joining us right now in studio, Sue Prentiss, State Senator from Lebanon with us inside the Rebo Casino and Social House in Lebanon. Good morning, Senator Prentice. Oh, good morning, Chris Ryan. Always great to have you in the beautiful Upper Valley. Even when it's in a foggy mist. It's still beautiful. I was going to say, I don't call it fog. I call it a mist. It's the morning mist. Fog, we've canceled fog? I don't cancel anything. I just try. Fog has been canceled by C. Prentice. That's the headline. More upbeat approach to it. The headline this morning is fog has been canceled by Senator Prentice. And missed is this is dead. Miss Missed is in. So let's talk about Michigan. And some media outlets have called it for Abdul El-Sayed. Others have not. There's still a lot of votes being counted, particularly in the Detroit area, which is where Paul Steinhouse is going to join us from coming up a little under an hour here on the program.

This has been kind of a key Senate race for a number of reasons, A, because Democrats need to win Michigan, and B, because as we've been talking about over the last several weeks, there is this progressive democratic socialist type of dynamic taking place against more moderate candidates. Stevens was expected to lose this race by a significant number. That has not happened. And she may, in fact, the vote still being counted. So as I said, some outlets have called this for Abdul El-Sayed. This may get closer. She may potentially win. Who knows? But at the very least, it is going to be a narrow victory for Abdul El-Sayed. What does it mean? Well, I think what this means in general is, you know, as I looked at this last night and early this morning, this is an... This is a thumbs down to the establishment. This is a thumbs down to go ahead and sink all your money against me and against the way the people feel about their country and their state and what's happening. And we're going to just do, you know, we're going to go with who we believe is going to work for us, not the establishment. I mean, that is, that's clear to me. And you know, I'm not for like blowing things up, but it is, you know, every day we move closer to this. this place in in politics, but in our state and our nation where people are just tired of the same old, same old. What El-Sayed has said to them consistently is, I'll put more money in your pocket. I am going to, you know, I am hearing you on Israel. I am hearing you on APEC. You know, whether I, you know, if that's just where he has. He's resounding with these voters. It is a lot closer than I thought that it would be. I watched the lead when I went to bed. It was still around 20 points off. But at 95% of the votes counted this morning, this slight lead that he has shows that, you know, he could probably pull this off. But I think we do need to pay attention to the fact that it was such a divided race. Yeah. I'm so fascinated to see, you know, the dynamic at play that you're describing, which I think is the biggest one right now. And that is the anti-establishment, anti-incumbent type of a sentiment and see how that plays out in other races. Because in some races, you have, you know, two figures that can be considered to be, you know, establishment type of figures, both trying to be outsiders. Like, take as an example, the U.S. center race here in New Hampshire on the Republican side. You know, both Scott Brown and Johnson, who are former U.S. senators that they've been out of the game for a period of time. And it's basically like how you can position yourself to to voters or the Senate matchup, which is likely to be Chris Pappas versus John Sununu. Like how does that get, how does that get worked out? Because I do feel for independence that they, they want to see something new. So is it. They don't vote for for Pappas because he's been in D.C. for, you know, seven years at this point. And they vote for Sununu, who is a part of the incumbent party and has been a previous. Those dynamics, I'm very interested to see how they, how they work out because there's a lot of matriculation that has to kind of work its way, work its way through. But I totally agree with you in regard to the sentiment. It is.

This is why Donald Trump had success in New Hampshire's why Bernie Sanders had success here in New Hampshire. It's because they are able to identify what voters are thinking, where the human condition is leading those voters at this point in time, and they hit that messaging and telling voters what they should think. is not going to work. And talking constantly about, well, this is what I've done and this is what I've done and I've been done this and I've passed this bill and when people don't think that Washington's worked, that's not a winner either. You have to, you have to position yourself as a change agent even if you are not viewed as such because that is where this election is at. Authenticity is the currency of this. Doesn't have to be honesty. It just like you are you related. Are you relatable? Are you authentic? Do you stick to your word? That is what. is going to dominate this election. I think we've been trending that way, but it is now more relatable than ever. And to your point, Washington isn't working for us. Things are at a complete stalemate down there. If you want to get anything done, you get it done in the New Hampshire State House. You get it done in state houses throughout the country. So let's get Granite Staters and our voters to be looking in that direction as well. I want to touch on an establishment issue that. that you brought up in, you know, what could potentially be our U.S. Senate matchup. You know, and my argument here is going to be, you know, in terms of authenticity, you know, Chris Pappas is, you know, he's currently sitting in Congress. He has been effective in Congress. He has been winning in a district that flipped between Democrats and Republicans for years. So he is relating to all types of voters in that district. And he's a person who grew up like, you know, like I grew up bagging groceries. He grew up scoop and ice cream. Okay. And then we're going to look on the other side on the Republican side. And I'll, you know, I'm not going to discount Scott Brown. He's been working it. But let's look at John Sununu. And for a second, here's someone that basically had to be brought out of the closet to run for this seat because somebody was uncomfortable with Scott Brown. I mean, where has he been and what has he been doing? And is he just going to run on his name? Where is he connecting with voters? That, I mean, I think that he is more establishment and outside of the picture than someone like Chris Pappas is. I mean, there's a number of areas where I could play devil's advocate there, but Chris Pappas has been in Washington, D.C., and he has to prove to voters that he is a part of the solution and not part of the problem, and that he has accomplished things or give rationale as to why he's not accomplished more. But I... I feel that whoever, and a lot of it is not necessarily the reality, but it's the perception. What are the ads? What is the messaging? How are you able to portray your opponent and yourself in a light that moves voters in one direction or the other? So a lot of it's not, particularly in that race, is not necessarily going to be the reality because both could claim to be, you know,

outsiders, both are in a lot of ways, insiders. So that one is really interesting. We can talk about the governor's race as well, and I wanted to hear in the couple of minutes we have remaining because it's me, this is an interesting one because governors always get, almost always, get that second two-year term. But is this a dynamic both in terms of unpopularity for President Trump in the state? and the anti-incumbent dynamic that could get Kelly Ayat swept up and sent out of office. Their focus has been on making Cindy Warmington a unelectable and non-viable choice and that she is so bad that you're better off choosing Kelly Ayat. But to me, That race and governor's races, in particular, you know, in a year like this one, are not necessarily going to be about the dynamics of that race or what's happening at the State House. But I think the currents and whether or not Kelly Aat can withstand the current of what is taking place around her. We have seen this kind of sweep take place in the past where the sentiment is if you are with. Broad brush stroke, you are with Republicans, then you are with Trump, then you are not good for our country or for our state. I think the governor's race is going to be a total cliffhanger. And what I would like to point out, and I brought up to you before, is although some have tried to paint City Warmington as, you know, bad and not electable, let us not forget that a former Republican governor in this state, Chris Sununu. described her on a radio show, could have been yours and said she was formidable. She has strengths and we are within points. I honestly don't know what's going to happen in that race, but I think there is a sentiment. Not I think, I know. I feel it and I hear it every day. And especially my favorite place to learn what's on the minds of voters is in the local price chopper here in West Lebanon. And people have started swinging away. from where they thought trump was going to help them get cheaper gas get groceries find you know have a more affordable home be america first and he is not and they're sweeping everybody up in with him no i think that's i think that's a really good point and i think that there is particularly among the undeclared the largest block of voters in the state there is a significant buyer's remorse that they're willing to look past a lot of the things with president trump in order to uh make that deal for more affordability. And instead, they have seen things largely move in the other direction. And not just that, but the president not be focused on those issues. Senator Prentice, as always, appreciate your time. We'll talk soon. Good to see you, Chris Ryan. Sue Prentice, a Democrat, of course, and a state senator from Lebanon joining us here in studio in Lebanon. I am Chris Ryan, this Hampshire today.

They're still counting the votes in Michigan. I'm Dave Anthony Fox News and a very close Senate primary. We knew that this was going to be a close race. And Democratic Congresswoman Haley Stevens is right now trailing progressive Abdul El-Sayed by about a one percentage point. He's backed by socialists. We have a responsibility to assure. that we unite to make sure that Mike Rogers never sees the inside of the U.S. Senate. Rogers is the Republican running for that seat now held by a retiring Democrat, and two progressives have done well in Michigan House races. Donovan McKinney, who's backed by the Democratic Socialists of America, is leading incumbent Shri Thanedar by about three percentage points in the Democratic primary for the third. 13th congressional district, the race has split Democrats, has minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, backstandardar, as progressives support McKinney. Sunrise movement co-founder William Lawrence clinched the Democratic nomination for the state's 7th congressional district. Lawrence beat two establishment Democrats. That's Fox's Madeline Rivera. Progressive loss of Missouri. Ex-congresswoman Cori Bush failed in her attempt to win back a house seat, losing to incumbent Wesley Belmont were more than 20 points. Voters from Missouri also said no to a ballot question to phase out the state income tax. A Republican Congressman Chuck Edwards has just announced early this morning in a post on X. He's ending his reelection campaign in North Carolina. After the House Ethics Committee had recommended Edwards be censured over sexual harassment allegations. The talks continue with Iran trying to get oil and other shipping flowing again through the street. of Hormuz. Fox is Trey-Yinston Tel Aviv. President Trump indicated that a deal with Iran could happen as early as today. Speaking with Fox News, the president said that talks took place all day on Tuesday and that things are looking very good. He told Trace Gallagher what will happen if the Iranians back out of this agreement. Well, if they back out again, they're going to get hit really hard. You know, they know that. They understand that. America's listening to Fox. This is News Radio 610 and 967. New Hampshire's News Traffic and Weather Station, an Iheart radio station with New Hampshire News. Now. U.S. Representative Maggie Goodlander is calling for a federal investigation into Sununu Youth Services. There are concerns about conditions at the facility, including allegations of restraining isolation and delayed medical care. The New Hampshire Office of the Child Advocate started looking into the allegations last month. However, the Attorney General's office said the claims were not supported. U.S. News and World Report's annual ranking of states has the granted state in sixth place overall, but number one in safety and economic opportunity. The number one overall spot went to Utah. State lawmakers have passed a no-fault eviction law. Now once a lease is up in New Hampshire, landlords can kick out tenants without giving a reason. However, this will not impact the tenant's rental record. I'm Lizzie Radabali.
